The Loud House:

At First, You Couldn't Scare them…Now You Can

A Fanfiction Story by Yaakov Lubin

It's a week before Halloween, the leaves on the trees have fully changed color, ready to fall at any given time. Kids rush to either make or buy their costumes for trick or treating. Adults buying candy for said trick-or-treaters. And Lucy and Lisa Loud working together to transform their family's garage into a haunted house. We see them now in the living room of the Loud home, putting all the necessary items they need for their project down on the coffee table.

Lucy (With a smile): "I shouldn't have thought of this sooner."

Lisa: "Indeed. This gives me an opportunity to recycle my failed safe home security system. Perhaps by next year, it will become a must-have for the Halloween season."

With her smile growing bigger, Lucy gives her sister a side hug, who is starting to smile herself giving in.

Lucy: "With us working together Lisa. I just know we can make the spookiest attraction this town has ever seen!"

?: "Bwhahahaha..."

Confused, the two turn around to surprisingly see their sisters: Lynn and Lana laughing their butts off. With Lana on the floor kicking her legs in the air, while her hands are holding her stomach. And Lynn is trying to keep her balance as she is holding on to the staircase railing.

Lisa (With a raised brow): "May I ask what's so funny to you two?"

Lynn: "You two...spooky...together! Haha!"

Lana sits up, and looks over at the two, as she wipes a tear from her eye.

Lana: "No offense Luc...you pretty scary all year long. But after what happened last Halloween, I'm pretty sure I can handle whatever you guys plan for this year."

Lucy (Annoyed): "My Backyard of Fears only failed because Dad ran outside after being scared by Lily's werewolf costume. Tearing everything down."

Lisa: "And just it was about to be Darcy and myself turn to go through. That is why for this year I installed an app on Father's phone. That way, he can access the video feed from my security cameras, keeping one step ahead from the spooks and scares that are already in the house and what we'll put in the garage."

Lynn (With a smirk): "Well, Scaredy Dad, or no Scaredy Dad. I won't be scared."

Lana stands up giving Lynn a high-five.

Lana: "Me neither."

Lucy (Not convinced): "Please... I've seen you two waiting online together from the entrance of my Backyard of Fears the year before. You we're both pretty shaken in your shoes after hearing the screams of the kids that went through before you."

Lynn: "Okay..."

Saying with a lot of convenience.

Lynn: "...let's make this interesting."

And so, the four end up making a bet between each other: If Lisa and Lucy can scare Lynn and Lana by the end of the day, then the latter two MUST be a part of next year's Halloween attraction, no backing out. BUT if the former two fail to scare Lana and Lynn, then they do whatever random favors their sisters ask of them for an entire year, no matter the time or place, they must do them.

A bit later in the day, on the second floor of the house, Lucy and Lisa are secretly hiding out in their brother's bedroom. Scouting out the hallway via the door that is cracked open a little bit. And as the minutes go by, mischievous smirks slowly develop on the two.

Lisa: "Oh, those two are so going to regret what they said earlier."

Lucy: "When Lynn goes into our room..."

As the two describe what's going to happen, we go over to the bed where a piece of paper is rolled out. Drawn on it are diagrams of Lynn and Lucy's shared bedroom on the left side and the twins' room on the right side. Separated by a big black line. And in each room is a stick figure, one of Lynn, and one of Lana. There are also representations of what the real Lynn and Lana are supposed to go through. For Lynn when she enters her room, zombie hands grab her ankles (Robot droids designed by Lisa), locking her into place, since the hands are chained to cement blocks hidden away. Then the young sports star's autographed ball collection (Actually disguised balloons), circles around her before popping one by one.

Stick Figure Lynn: "Aaaaa!"

For Lana, as soon she lays or even just sits on her bed, a demon will form from the mattress, (One of Lisa's security robots dressed in a white morph-suit planted in there), wrap its arms around her, holding her tight, while saying demon like sounds. Giving Lana no chance to escape no matter how hard she tries.

Stick Figure Lana (Whispers in fear): "Lynn…Lola…anyone?"

We cut back to the real Lana and Lynn entering their respective rooms and closing the doors behind them. Before long the sounds of the chained zombie hands being deployed and balloons rapidly popping can be heard from Lynn's room. And Lana's mattress bending and demonic sounds going off from her and Lola's. However, before Lisa and Lucy can give each other a satisfying well-done high five, Lynn comes out of her bedroom, still with the droids around her ankles, using the attached chains to drag the cement blocks along. She then stops to look over at her sisters, who still are watching from the end of the hall.

Lynn: "Thanks for the new ankle weights, guys." (With a smirk): "And heads up, my autograph ball collection is in the attic."

The two are completely speechless.

Lucy: "That…shouldn't be possible! Lynn should have been screaming her head off."

And to make matters worse…

Lana: "Aww! You're just a big sweetie! Yes…yes you are!"

They rush over to the twins' room, open the door…and can't believe what they're seeing. Lana is hugging the bed demon, nuzzling her face in its neck.

Lana: "I needed a new snuggle buddy. You'll keep the makeover ghost from Lola's side of the room away from me. Won't you, you big sweetie? Yes, you will."

Lisa turns to Lucy with a look of determination.

Lisa: "Don't fret partner. We still have the remainder of the day to scare those two non-believers."

Unfortunately, as the day went on, the members of Team Scary kept failing against Team Brave.

Lucy: "I don't remember calling ourselves that."

Lisa (Rolls her eyes): "Might as well do so. No doubt Lynn and Lana started to call themselves Team Brave soon after we started this competition."

Such as when Lana ran downstairs, into the basement with a mud-covered piece of paper in her hand.

Lana: "Hey Hops, I got the invitation to your Halloween party in the basement! Where are you and the other critters…Gasp!"

Spread on the basement floor are all of Lana's pets, from Hops the Frog to Bitey the Rat. But they were all turned into cyborgs (Lisa dressed them in robot costumes she made from spare leftover parts from past inventions she dismantled)! They're all zoning in on Lana while making robotic versions of their normal animal sounds.

Lana (With a big smile): "Aww! Why didn't you guys just ask to go trick-or-treating with me? Of course, you can! Here…"

She digs into the front pocket of her overalls and pulls out a handful of candy.

Lana: "I snuck them from Mom's candy-giving bag. Don't tell her though."

And just like that, Lana's pets started to act like their normal selves again, rushing over to her, begging with pleading eyes for a piece of candy.

Lana: "And thanks for making them their costumes Lisa!"

Lisa is hiding beside the washer, and she is not happy…

Lisa: "I was definitely not expecting those turns of events."

Or when Lynn went to the attic to get her autograph ball collection to share on social media.

Lynn: "My homies are going to be so jealous once I post my entire collection on ."

That's when Fangs the Bat flew in from the attic's opened window, landing on top of the box holding Lynn's collection.

Lynn (With a raised brow): "What are you doing in here, Batty?"

But in a puff of Smoke, Fangs is gone, and in his place is a gigantic green vampire monster, with the biggest sharpest fangs no one has ever seen. He is looking down at Lynn with his big bloodshot eyes. And starts to speak in a menacing voice.

Vampire Monster: "Lynn Loud Junior…for far too long you denied the existence of my kind. Prepare to have your living soul sucked out of your very being as punishment!"

But in response, Lynn only smiles and looks up to see Lucy on top of one of the support beams, using strings to control the vampire monster, which in reality is just a giant puppet made out of fabric and some papier mâché.

Lynn: "Has Luan been giving you lessons? You're pretty good at that Luce."

It is now almost the end of the day…

Lisa (Putting down some boxes): "Which leaves us no choice, but to assemble our haunted house."

That is why Lucy and her are in the garage. But they are not alone, however. Lola is there having a tea party with her stuffed animals.

Lola: "Good idea…at least Lana and Lynn won't be able to see you on the security cameras." (Looks over at Lisa): "Why didn't you put one in here?"

Lisa and Lucy: "What?!"

Back in the living room Lana and Lynn are laughing their butts off on the couch, while Lynn is holding her dad's cellphone.

Lana: "Lynn, taking Dad's phone to use the camera app to spy on Lisa and Lucy was a great idea!"

Lynn: "We're literally one step ahead of them."

They look back down at the screen…

Lynn: "Let's see what those two are up to now."

But in every room they look into, they can't seem to find their siblings anywhere. Until they switch to the outside cams, where they see Lucy and Lisa moving box after box into the garage.

Lana: "Let's see what they're up to…"

Lynn (Tapping on the screen): "I can't! There's no camera in the garage."

Lana (Taps on the screen herself): "It can't be! Who would put security cameras all over the house, but not the garage?!"

With no other choice, Lana and Lynn started to make their way to the garage, trying to prepare themselves for whatever might be behind those doors. However, as soon as they set foot inside, a human-sized vacuum cleaner tube sucks them up. It then transfers the two into a pink sparkly machine. Lola, Lucy, and Lisa are on the other side that has a sign over a door that says, makeover complete. Waiting for the end results to come out.

Lola: "I call it the Pretty-Go-Belt."

Lisa: "Actually, it's called the Makovertran 4…"

Lola (With a carefree smile): "Whatever…"

Before Lisa can angrily call her sister out, Lynn and Lana are pushed out the door. And like the name implies, the Makovertran…Pretty-Go-Belt has given them complete girly makeovers. For Lynn: She was changed from her sports jersey and shorts to a long sparkly pink shoulder split celebrity dress. Matching pink heels were placed on her feet. A white fur boa and a pearl necklace were wrapped around Lynn's neck. White evening gloves over her hands. Her ponytail was undone so her hair could be styled wavy. Pink lipstick, light pink eyeshadow, and black mascara were applied to her face. And to complete the look a pair of sunglasses was placed over Lynn's head.

As for Lana: She was dressed in a light blue very puffy and frilly princess dress with light blue heels to match. Golden bracelets were placed on each of Lana's wrists and heart-shaped clip-on earrings clipped on her ears. Also, Lana's hat was removed and replaced with a tiara after her hair was all curled up. Sparkly red lipstick, light blue eyeshadow, and black mascara were applied to complete the look.

A mirror is then placed in front of the two, so they can have a look at themselves. And saying that they are taken aback by their new looks is a complete understatement.

Lana and Lynn: "AHHHH!"

Screaming all the air out of their lungs, before running out of the garage as fast as they can. Leaving Lola, Lisa, and Lucy to give each other a high-five for a job well done.

Lola: "Now if you two spook-freaks excuse me..."

She heads over to the front of the machine with a smug smirk.

Lola: "I'm going to get all prettified before you take the Pretty-Go-Belt down."

But as soon as Lola is sucked in via the vacuum tube, Lucy bends down and whispers into Lisa's ear.

Lisa (Develops a mischievous smile): "Tee-hee…"

She goes over to a dial on the side of the Pretty-Go-Belt and starts to turn it. Changing the makeover program from totally girly to…

Lisa: "Extremely terrifying!"

We then cut to the outside of the garage where we can hear…

Lola: "AHHHH!"

The end
