Saphira managed to make it to the Fazbear Horror and Pizzeria car lot in time before she needed to be here for her shift. She was actually early, and she was able to remove the black clothes she had put on and fix her security shirt and hair up. But she found herself just sitting in the lot nervously. She honestly was freaking out right now after what just happened. She wasn't freaking out over what she saw inside the lab, but rather what happened when Afton grabbing her. Seeing the skin tear like it was cloth or something around a costume was horrifying. Especially as there was no blood, and it seemed like he's experienced that before. It made Saphira question so many different things because she almost believed that Afton was not all that he appeared to be.
She worried about what Afton might do tonight. Considering he now knew that she had been to his property and seen the inside of the lab, he could torment her. Saphira was not looking forward to it at all. She glanced at the time and saw she had at least ten minutes before she needed to go into the building to get ready for the night. She had a bit of time to relax and gather her thoughts. She wasn't exactly sure how she was going to relax for the rest of the night.
I think Springtrap is going to be so angry when he finds out. Not because I went there, but because I have caused more danger. Ugh…I made a stupid decision.
Saphira felt very stupid going to Afton's house now. She did not know what ripple effect this was going to cause, and she was very nervous of that fact. She doubted that the animatronics would be targeted, but they will try and protect her, which would put them in the way of the Freddles. Saphira could not help but wonder how many Freddles there were. If she could destroy them all, Afton would not have eyes in the building.
Maybe I can stop him from having eyes and ears in that place…unless he has something else other than the Freddles of course.
Saphira would not even have a clue as to what else Afton might even have regarding spies that might be used to keep an eye on her throughout the building. But she did not want to think about it. She was more concerned about what was going to happen in the building tonight. She was actually afraid of walking into the building, and finding out what she might have to endure. But she couldn't ignore her duties. She needed to be here. Especially since she wanted to spend time with Springtrap as often as possible.
She took a deep breath and looked at the mirror for a moment before she decided to take her ponytail out and quickly brush her hair and put a side part in her hair instead. She figured she might go with a different hairstyle today as she knew Springtrap had mentioned he would like to see her with different hairstyles. She stuck with ponytail, as it was primarily an easy hairstyle to do, and it kept the hair from her face. And it was practical, at the end of the day. But she decided to leave out her hair today.
But it will probably get messed up by the end of the night.
Saphira decided to leave her hair out anyway. She finally got out of the car and made her way to the back door. She grabbed the handle and opened it, half expecting to see Freddles, though the hallway was clear. She doubted anything would happen until the other employees leave anyway. She made her way to the office and looked around to see it was clear. But there was something in the fax machine. She sighed and saw a document had been sent to the machine. She grabbed it, knowing Afton likely had sent it. So she read it.
'I must congratulate you, Saphira. I did not believe you had the guts to even show up at my house. I hope you took a good look at where your precious animatronics were made.
This is a piece in the game I had not expected you to play so soon. Well done. You have impressed me, young lady. I hope you keep doing that. Especially when it comes to your job at the pizzeria. Keep it up. I know you will do me proud.
But don't expect tonight to be easy. Be prepared for the swarm, and tried not to lose an arm in the process. I don't want to have to start this again and wait for another female security guard.'
Saphira reread that again. He's been waiting for a female security guard? Oh has been waiting for her? She did not know. But the fact there was a warning about what to expect tonight made her shiver. She did not have anything to protect herself against the Freddles, but she would look for something. She knew there were some crowbars around the place, along with hammers, so that might provide something for her to use against the Freddles to protect herself.
And it seems like he is going to really try and hurt me. He doesn't care that I could die…but he does care about starting this again. I still am at a loss as to what he wants.
Saphira sat in Mike's chair to at least go through the tasks he wanted her to do, knowing that if she got them done first, then she would not have a complaint to her about them not being done. She did find a note about repairs needing to be done for one of the kitchen ovens, so she had to get that organized. Even though all the businesses were closed at this time of night, she would at least have it organized so it was easy enough for the staff during the day to make the call and set up the date for the oven to get repaired.
This at least provided her with a little bit of distraction while she watched as the employees would leave early. Being Monday, it was not surprising that the building would be empty early. But Saphira did wish that they would be here longer. It would mean less time to deal with the Freddles, but she knew that it could also mean that the shorter time would result in a far more dangerous. Regardless, she knew she was in for a rough night.
When she finished what she needed to do on Mike's computer, she moved over to her desk to sit and see there were a few more employees left in the building. She silently cursed to herself as she knew what that meant. She looked at the vent and she was immediately startled by eight set of eyes looking at her through the vent cover. She shivered as she stared at them nervously as she knew what exactly they were going to do. And she was very worried. She rubbed her arm nervously, feeling like she was going to cause a whole heap of trouble for the animatronics because of her.
She jumped as the fax machine rang and she sighed, guessing that Afton was going to taunt her even more. She did not even bother looking at the machine as she knew that she would get the message regardless. She simply waited until the machine was finished before she would even consider looking at it. Once the fax finished printing the document, Saphira took a moment as she did not want to read it right now. Though as the last of the employees began to leave, and it was almost ten, Saphira decided to read it before anything would happen.
'I hope you are looking forward to Halloween. It is only a few weeks away, and I dare say, it is my favorite time of year. And I hope it is yours too. Because I look forward to when you are working on that night. I have a game planned for Halloween. One for the animatronics specifically. Let them know that their work will be cut out for them. You saw the players in the tanks in my lab. They are coming.
And I hope you remember Hayley. She's been a very good girl.'
Saphira stared at the document in shock. There were more animatronics coming, but it seemed that maybe these animatronics were going to be aggressive. She assumed the nightmare animatronics were meant to be aggressive, and they've turned out to be very nice. But clearly, Afton had different plans for Halloween. It made her skin crawl as it was not very long until the holiday came around. And Afton clearly intended on using the horror holiday to do something.
But what really struck her was the fact he named Hayley, her bully, specifically. That really made her worried. She could not help but think that Hayley knew Afton in some way. But that couldn't be possible. Afton looked different to Hayley, even though she has only seen him once. The only thing that could be related would be the eyes, but she couldn't remember if Hayley actually looked like Afton. But regardless, he knew of her existence. Which meant she could know of his.
But he mentioned her specifically…that meant the girl I saw the other day was Hayley. Something is being planned I think…oh…I wish I knew…my head is hurting from all this knowledge!
Saphira groaned as she held her head with her hands as she knew this was so much to take in. More mysteries were being added, and she hated it. She grabbed her flashlight to begin her rounds of the pizzeria. The last of the employees were leaving at this point anyway, so she figured she should get started before the Freddles overwhelm them. She really did not want to waste much time. And yet, she also wanted to warn the animatronics.
She stood in the hallway as she hesitated to make a start on the loading dock. She ignored the confused looks the last employees gave her after they gathered their things from the locker room and made their way to the back door to leave. She knew that she was conflicted right now, and she knew it was her fault. And this time, she felt she needed Springtrap. She sighed and she walked down the hallway towards the dining room quickly. She knew she had very little time.
But as she was walking, she stopped as the vent above opened and a dozen Freddles jumped onto the ground, and their red eyes turn towards her. She backed away as they waved their index fingers, warning her to not do something stupid. Saphira had not expected Afton to start this so quickly, but she guessed she must have angered him enough to do this. She backed away and glanced around quickly before the Freddles began to run at her.
She turned and ran from them quickly. She had wanted to scream, but nothing escaped her mouth as she ran down the hallway towards the loading dock. She stopped briefly only to grab a crowbar leaning against the wall and turned to see one of the Freddles jumping at her with its mouth open and claws ready to scratch her. She swung the crowbar and hit the Freddle successfully into the ground, breaking the jaw. But it got back up, and Saphira let out a shriek as she ran to the loading dock.
"Bonnie! Freddy! Springtrap!" She shouted loudly, slamming the door open into the loading dock. "Ahh!" She almost tripped and fell down into the truck bay and she glanced at the door for a moment, though she kept running. "AAHH! Get off me!"
A Freddle had dropped down from above and landed on her head. Saphira shrieked as the Freddle scratched her shoulders and bit her neck. She managed grab it and threw it against the wall just as she opened the door to run towards the kitchen as fast as she could. She was surprised at how fast the Freddles were, and they were terrifying. She knew she could not deal with them on her own. She slammed the door open into the kitchen, and she shrieked as she almost ran straight into Freddy.
"Freddy!" She shrieked in surprise as he stepped back in surprise of almost being ran into. She opened her mouth to say something else, though a Freddle jumped up and bit into her left arm, making her yelp and slam the crowbar on it. Freddy pulled her behind him firmly and punched several Freddles as they almost got too close. "They're swarming…"
"Why are they swarming you?" Freddy asked as he glared at the Freddles. They had stopped and looked up at Freddy with their jaws open wide. He stepped back as more Freddles jump out of the vents. "Did we do something to upset Afton?"
"Not you…no…" Saphira shuddered as the stings of the wounds were bothering her. "Um…I hope this blood won't make you…"
"I am a little too old to lack that kind of self control." Freddy flinched and slapped his hands against a Freddle that jumped right at him. "But if we did not do anything…you must have. What did…" He widened his eyes as the Freddles jump at him again and she ran around to slam the crowbar on them, slamming it down on four Freddles at once and slammed it again to break their heads and disable them. "This isn't the place for this kind of fight!"
Saphira couldn't agree more, but she was surprised and yelped in surprise when Freddy grabbed her and picked her up by the waist to run out of the kitchen. She wrapped her arms around his right arm out of surprise and fear as she had not expected him to do that as he ran into the dining room. She did watch as the Freddles run after them. She felt tears welling in her eyes as she knew she was causing problems for the animatronics.
"Argh! What in the blazers are ya doin', mate?" Foxy asked in surprise as Freddy ran into the dining room and placed Saphira on the ground gently. "Ye was carryin' her around like a mannequin!" Saphira looked at him and Foxy realized she was shaking. "Ah, ye was hollerin' before…" He turned his eyed and lifts his eyepatch as the Freddles burst through the door. "Blimey! The sharks are attackin' the hull!"
Bonnie and Chica were by the door leading to the office as they were about to see why Saphira had shouted, but when they saw the Freddles, they ran over as Saphira held her crowbar while Freddy kept her behind him. Foxy ran at the Freddles and swung his hook, slicing the tip of the blade into the eyes of the Freddles and punching with his hand. He jumped back as a couple Freddles jump and bite onto his arm, and he slammed his arm into the wall to destroy them.
"What is happening?" Chica asked as she stood beside Freddy as they form a circle around Saphira. "They have never done this before! And the employees have all just left! It is not even after twelve!"
"I don't know." Bonnie looked at Saphira and noticed the tears in her eyes. "Please tell us what happened. You've done something." She nodded as she knew she could not hide it. "I hope that this won't end in you dying, because I won't allow it." He gasped and punched another Freddle jumping at him and he growled a little. "What…"
"Why are there Freddles all over the place?!" Fredbear shouts as he stomped out of his dining room with a huff. "Saphira, what did you do?! Wait…don't tell me this is because of what I said last night! I really did not mean to…"
"AAHH!" Saphira screamed as another Freddle jumped down on top of her, this time it landed on her chest and it swiped at her face, making her stumble as she felt the claws cut across her cheek, nose and right eyelid. "OW!" She tried pushing it off as it also scratched at her chest and felt someone pulling it off. She whimpered as she had her right eyelid closed, which made it harder to see, but she saw Freddy had pulled it off and destroyed it. "Ow…" She sniffled a little. "I am sorry…"
She gasped as she felt another Freddle jump on her back and swipe cutting deep into her back and making her fall to her knees as it was pulled off. She really had not expected Afton to go this hard, but Fredbear ran over, and Foxy joined in to form a circle. But it didn't seem to work as the Freddles kept using a vent from above to jump into the middle of the circle. She wiped her right eyelid, glancing at the blood on the back of her hand before scrambling between Fredbear's legs, startling him, and she slammed her crowbar on several Freddles and swiping it along to hit several more as she stood up and ran from the animatronics.
"Saphira! What are you doing?!" Bonnie shouted in disbelief, back handing a Freddle, and widened his eyes as the Freddles ran around them to run after Saphira. "They're after you!" He ran after the Freddles, punching them angrily and jumping as more jumped down. "Just how many of these things does he even have?! It's like they're multiplying faster than we can destroy them!"
Saphira slammed her crowbar on another Freddle and reached for the door, only to jump back as it opened and she saw Springtrap. "Springtrap!" She was extremely relieved to see him. He widened his eyes upon seeing the scratch across her face. "There are so…woah!" She shrieked as he pulled her through the door and slammed it shut before the Freddles could get through. In the hallway, Saphira saw dozens of other Freddles on the ground with the toy animatronics, phantom animatronics and nightmare animatronics standing in the hallway. The nightmare animatronics cover their noses as soon as they spot Saphira, but it was clear they had been destroying the Freddles. "Springtrap…"
"Move!" Springtrap snapped, pushing her further into the hallway and gestured to the bathroom. "There's no vent in there. Go! We will stop them from swarming you. There's a first aid kit in there too." Saphira hesitated and he growled, grabbing her arm and making her walk to the door. "There are young animatronics here who might lose control, you need to get pit of the hallway at least to prevent them from ignoring their sanity and control to try and kill you."
Saphira was a bit upset, but she understood. She was more upset about the Freddles chasing her, and attacking the animatronics. She did want to speak with Springtrap, but she guessed he would speak with her as he was clearly coming to find her when he had opened the door. So she entered the woman's bathroom and turned on the light so she could see. She first made her way over to the first aid kit. She did not know how she was going to deal with the scratches on her back, but she could deal with the injuries to her face and chest.
I really need to stop having these clothes get ruined…I've gone through so many work uniforms already.
Saphira walked over to the vanity to look at the mirror before she began trying to clean up herself. There was a lot of blood, and she knew she had to deal with the injuries somehow. Her elbow throbbed due to her using her muscles to fight off the Freddles, but it was not her main concern. She had to ensure that the animatronics would not go crazy due to her blood. She didn't know if that is what Afton was going for, but he clearly did not care given when he has written in the note. Though whatever he wanted to achieve, seemed to be reliant on a security guard. And she was his main target, so she wouldn't expect him to push the animatronics to the point that they would attack her.
As Saphira cleaned the wounds and began to put pressure on them, she began to sob. She felt guilty about this as she knew that this would not be happening if she did not go to Afton's property. She could hear the animatronics outside the bathroom destroying the Freddles trying to reach the bathroom, and she really could not help but feel guilty for leaving it to them. She wanted to go back out to fight, but her eye was a concern for her. She wasn't blinded, but she still needed to get the bleeding under control.
She jumped when she heard the door open and she saw Springtrap walking into the room. He stopped and saw the wounds on her back and he walked over to inspect the wounds for a moment before he looked at the mirror. He saw she had her hair out, and it was something that surprised him. But he did wish that there wasn't a bunch of tiny, robotic animatronics attacking as this had already made the start to the night stressful.
"I'm sorry, Springtrap," Saphira said as she let out another sob. "I am sorry…"
Springtrap widened his eyes as he realized. "Oh…don't tell me you did something." She nodded to show she definitely did something. "Saphira…I don't know what you did. But you clearly know that it was the wrong thing. Now these things are trying to attack you." She jumped as he began to cleaning her back wounds after he picked up some of the clothes as he wanted to help get them cleaned and dealt with. "What did you do, exactly?"
Saphira trembled as she knew what she was going to tell him. She did not want to, but she had to. "Um…well…I know where Afton's lab is." He tilts his head slightly upon hearing her response. "And…you know how Nightmare said that my scent is over the loading dock the same night he saw someone dressed in black?" He nodded slowly and frowned a little as he focused on cleaning her wounds. "It was me. And I put a tracker on the truck."
"So you lied to us about that fact?" Springtrap's frown deepened as he listened to her. She looked away with a guilty expression with a nod. "Why? Why would you not tell us?"
"Because there were too many ears," Saphira responded in a shaky voice. "I tracked that truck to Afton's lab. And I have been watching the signal for a while now. I wanted to tell you, but I didn't want him to find out as well. I'm sorry."
Springtrap stared at her before he grabbed her shoulders to turn her to face him gently. "So why would he be trying to attack you like this now? What did you do? Did you…" He paused for a moment as he processed all this and he stared at her. "Please tell you did not go to his lab."
She let tears fall, grimacing a little as the tears stung the scratch on her face. "I did. I was there almost two hours ago. But Afton was not there at his house at the time. Not until I was about to leave." Saphira shivered as she thought about it. "And there are new animatronics coming. I saw them in the tube, without their coverings on. I just know they were a Foxy, Chica and Bonnie…"
"What were you thinking?!" She jumped at the tone of his voice. Springtrap did not know if he should feel surprised, disappointed or angry right now. "Why would you go there? You see the result of your choice. And we have to protect you, when we could be hunting the trespassers that have just walked into the building."
"There are…" Saphira gasped as she heard the screams of people echoing from the Haunted Classroom." She stared at the door and looked down. "I'm sorry…I thought I could get away without him seeing me…but he did…I know, this was my fault…you're angry, aren't you?"
Springtrap sighed and cupped her cheeks gently with his hands, making her jump and look at his silver eyes. "Saphira, I don't know what I feel. But even if I were angry, there is nothing we can do but…" She suddenly pushed him away and walked towards the door. "Wait! What are you doing?" Springtrap ran over to the door and blocked her way. "Your wounds are still fresh and raw, Saphira. They're bleeding, and while the nightmare animatronics are going to be feeding, they could still turn on you."
Saphira's bottom lip trembled. "But I put you in danger…this is my fault…" She let out a hitched sob, and Springtrap softened his expression. "And I feel…"
"Saphira, those things aren't hurting us. They are only creating scratches on our body." Saphira looked away and turned her back to him. Springtrap sighed deeply and took a step closer to her. "Saphira, this might be a consequence of some poor choices, but we aren't in danger. You are. And you must understand that."
She nodded, though she could not look at him. "I know…it…it's my fault…I shouldn't have let my curiosity about you and your origin cloud my judgement. But Afton expected me to be there at some point…I guess he knew I would be too interested…"
"And yet, you had the choice." Springtrap glanced at the door as he could hear the thumps outside the door and looked back at her. "Look at me, Saphira." She shuddered and whimpered softly. "Look at me." She lifts her head slowly to meet his eyes, let her tears fall. "I am not mad at you. I am disappointed that you lied. But I want you to think before you do anything in the future. You already know I cannot protect you outside of this pizzeria." Springtrap sighed as she glanced away for a moment. "I wish I could. I wish I was not here, pretending to be a robot." She widened her eyes as she listened to him. "I desire to leave this place. But I know that I will not be welcome. We would be seen as monsters. But if I could, I would ensure that you are protected."
Saphira listened to him and she sniffled. "I will do my best. I will try not to make things harder for you. Especially since…since I now see the ripple effect."
"Good." Springtrap smiled at her before he hugged her, making her tense in surprise as he hugged her against him. She was very shocked, feeling his arms around her and she could not help but hug him back. He could feel her trembling in his arms and, he breathed in her scent, even if he could smell the scent of her blood. It no longer made him hunger for her flesh. It was calming to him. "Just don't feel like you are alone, Saphira. We will stand by you, even when…" Springtrap paused as he glanced at the drain on the floor of the bathroom. Saphira turned her head as she heard the sound of something crawling through the drain. "He has some in the drainage?!" Springtrap growled as he lets Saphira go and leaned, looking directly into the drain and he could see the eyes of the Freddles crawling through the drain. "This is just unbelievable!"
Saphira shivered as she tightened her grip on the crowbar. "Um…how many?"
"I can't tell." Springtrap growled a little more and looked at Saphira. "I think you need to leave." She blinked and stared at him in surprise. "I know your wounds are not quite taken care of, Saphira. But you aren't safe in here anymore. If you can find a place to hide until we have dealt with the Freddles, or when Afton decides to relent, you need to do it quickly."
Saphira shivered as she was very nervous. "But…uh…w-w-what…what if one of the nightmare animatronics accidently try to attack me?"
"I don't believe they will, given they might have eaten the trespassers that you heard before. However, you got a good swing when it comes to using a crowbar." She frowned as she didn't want to hurt them. "Plus, I think the Freddles will distract them enough anyway. Just…" Springtrap looked at the drain as he heard groaning and claws began to push against the drain cover to get out. Saphira noticed these seemed a little smaller than the Freddles in the vents, which meant Afton could have more hiding just about anywhere. "Just don't go somewhere obvious, like the Chapel. Alright? I will hold these little things off and I will come find you."
Saphira was nervous but she trusted him. "Find…there's not many places to hide here anyway."
Saphira wanted to stay to help Springtrap, but she jumped when when the drain cover burst open and the small Freddles began to climb out. Springtrap stamped on them quickly, covering the drain with his foot while Saphira ran to the door. She did not know how much more Afton wanted to torment her, but that didn't matter. As long as she survived the night, that was all that mattered. She opened the door to run out, not knowing what she was going to do and where to go.
