The next day, everyone in Ninjago was talking about yesterday's events. The rumors that Cole was currently MIA spread through the city and the schools like wildfire. Even Sam's friend group couldn't help but weigh in on the situation.
"Do you guys think..." Uki began looking at the floor while walking with Sam, Nagi, and Jane. "That someone will attack the school?" Jane shook her head. "Nah, people may be stupid, but not that stupid. You all are forgetting that the other ninja is still in town! Plus that new Samurai X person. Whoever they are." the girls nodded. "Exactly!" Sam piped, "We have nothing to worry about!" The other girls relaxed. "Well, I still wonder...If Cole was kidnapped, who do you think did it?" Nagi questioned. No one was certain. "Can we change the topic, please? All this worry is stressing me out! And I can't be stressed out before a big game!" Jane sighed. "Agreed, " they all said.
THAT MORNING AT THE NINJA MONASTERY
Kai wandered out of his room later than usual. Though it wasn't a surprise given his late-night escapade. The rest of the ninjas watched him as he came to the kitchen, sitting at a spot on the kitchen table that already had a plate of eggs, toast, hashbrowns, and sausage, though was slightly lukewarm at this point. That didn't phase Kai though, he used a small fraction of his power to heat up the plate, being careful not to accidentally set the food Zane had prepared on fire. Kai devoured the plate in a few minutes, after placing his dishes in the dishwasher, he saw that all the ninjas were now staring uncomfortably at him. "What?" Kai asked.
"The little 'event' " Nya began, making air quotes with her hands when she said "event". "That happened last night is ALL over the news." Kai looked semi-shocked but not totally surprised. "It is?" "Yes- You're lucky none of those hostages were hurt," Zane added. Kai rolled his eyes. "None of them would've been injured. I had the situation under control." "Did you? Did you really? It looked to us like you got lucky. Those hostages were in a lot more trouble because you were there," Jay stated. "What do you mean? They were in danger whether I was there or not. I jumped in when I needed to!" The ninja shook their heads. Lloyd in particular did not look happy. "A. The Glass from the ceiling could've caused someone to get cut and bleed. B. You left two unconscious robbers alone and untied..." Kai tuned out Lloyd's monologue, silently sulking like a child being reprimanded.
Dang, They saw ALL the security footage, huh? Sure, he made some mistakes, but no one really got hurt in the end, why were all of them ganging up on him like flies? It made Kai upset, he didn't think It was fair... he had saved the day, he should be praised. Not chastised. "Guys, you're all overexaggerating!" Kai proclaimed, folding his arms. "Sure, I didn't stop the bank from getting robbed..." Kai paused. "But, It still turned out fine! No one got hurt!" All the ninjas looked unhappy, "There would've been most likely a better outcome if you had simply called us for assistance." Zane stated. Kai rolled his eyes. "Fine, that's a fair point. But it was late at night-" "I was awake, and So was Zane." Lloyd interrupted. "You didn't call just because it was late, you didn't call because you didn't intend on having us there to back you up, or you didn't think about it." He added. Kai's eyes narrowed. "What are you saying?" "We're saying- that- well...You've been reckless." Kai gave his sister a confused look, "So? It's me-" "More than usual." Nya explained. "What Nya is trying to say, Kai is that we believe your judgment has been skewed... Due to a lack of sleep," Zane articulated. "Yeah, bud- we all are worried about Cole, but he's been gone for almost two weeks, and you've barely slept at all. You've been working yourself to the bone! You need to take a break at some point dude!" Jay finished. Kai took everything they said In, he knew they had good intentions, but what did they know? He's been sleep deprived before, what makes this time any different? "Look, I know you guys are just trying to help, but I'm fine, really...This isn't my first rodeo, I've run on no sleep before." Kai proclaimed. "Before you didn't run into a fight ALONE clearly without a plan. Before you've run on less than a week, right now it's almost been 8 days straight that you haven't slept more than a few hours. You need to get some sleep." Lloyd stated, with a good amount of authority behind his words. Which made Kai realize that he was being serious. He sighed deeply- was Lloyd right? Had he been taking more risks? How long- when was the last time he'd slept more than 4 hours? he didn't know. Sleep had been the last thing on Kai's mind, but now that his friends had brought up their concerns, he started feeling a wave of sleepiness ready to strike like a tsunami to shore at any second. he rubbed his right eye. "Alright- maybe-" Kai paused again, looking at everyone in the room. "Maybe you all are onto something- maybe I should get some rest..." he still didn't like it, he wanted to help. Ever since those rumors that Cole had been missing for a few days, the city has been crazy. Imagine if they knew how long Cole had really been gone for, then things would be really upside down. Nya brought her brother back to reality when she placed her hand gently on his shoulder. "Good. get sleep, we'll need you at you're best if we want to get Cole back. We'll handle things for now." Kai gave Nya a look of slight worry. But her words reassured him. he turned back around and decided to go to his room. But on the way there, he passed by the bathroom, and thus briefly glanced at himself.
He stopped.
Looking at himself in the mirror, he looked like a wreck. Are those eye bags? When did those appear? Hair wasn't the best either, it was losing some of its spikiness. How had he not noticed anything wrong with himself until now? Kai supposed he was just that all focused on finding Cole. He sighed, starting to understand why they had been concerned. He walked into his bedroom and lay down on his bed. Alone with himself, only hearing the sounds of his own heartbeat and breath, he finally felt the weight of his body's soreness and exhaustion. He pushed the pain down for so long trying to ignore it, but after everything, he just couldn't at this point. And there was also the matter of his ankle. It still felt like it was in pain, but it was feeling better. He decided to close his eyes and let his bed swallow his pain and send him into his dreams. Eventually, he goes there, dreaming away while lightly snoring. he really needed this, that's for sure.
MEANWHILE IN ANOTHER PART OF NINJAGO CITY, EXACT LOCATION ... SOMEWHERE UNDERGROUND
An older man who looked like he was in his mid to late 30s paced around a vast cave. The cave was approximately 40 feet height-wise and 100 feet wide. There were three smaller man-made-sized tunnels that connected to the bigger cave. The Man sported slick dark brown hair, grey eyes, and a dark purple cape. On the inside of the cape, there was an assortment of colors. Dark blues, Pinks, Purples, and Light Blues all swirled together to make it look like a photograph of the galaxy you'd see in the classroom of a middle school science teacher. "UGH," the man groaned, pacing around the cave. "Still no sign of it! How can you be so useless?" The man walked up to a chained individual, who was slumped on the ground, he sported dark hair, a black Ninja Gi, and currently... angry eyes. "I told you before Mordecai," Cole spat, "I can't use my powers in a large burst or it risks causing a huge earthquake." Mordecai's eyes grew angry. "YES, I KNOW! And we've been using it in small doses over the past few days, But my patience is growing thin! The current usage of your power is not finding me that Axe!" Mordecai's pace gained speed as he talked. "We need to use more of your power..." he thought aloud. Cole shook his head violently "You can't! Ninjago would be severely damaged! Not to mention- what if people- die? What if I-" Mordecai shook his finger. "I KNOW, I KNOW THAT, I AM AWARE, So quit telling me! I know the risks, however- I'm tired of waiting. the longer I wait, the longer it takes me to find the other weapons! Now-" Mordecai cleared his throat. "I think you have forgotten that you're my prisoner. And also, I don't care what happens to this city. I've put up with your demands to make you more compliant..but now, we must take our venture to the next scale." Mordecai paused, looking back at his captive. Cole had a pleading look on his face. "So- let's see how much power you REALLY can expend."
ABOUT AN HOUR LATER, BACK IN NINJAGO HIGH SCHOOL
Sam was in her Algebra class. She was half-paying attention to the teacher, while the rest of her focus was on other things. Sam looked over to Sadie who sat right next to her. Sam noticed Sadie looked absolutely bored out of her mind. She was writing down stuff and paying attention, but she looked like she wanted to be anywhere else besides where she was right now. Sam couldn't blame her, she was half thinking the same thing. But she also knew that Math, although boring, was important. And so was learning.
The bell rang, signaling to the students that it was time for the next class. "Alright students, that's the bell. Make sure you all work on pages 45-55, Doing the EVEN problems only." The teacher for the class reminded. The students were all grabbing their personal items and started to walk out, just like normal high schoolers would after a school bell would ring. But suddenly without warning, the building began to shake. It started slow but quickly escalated. Most of the students from Sam's class began to scream, including many students from either the halls or in other classrooms. Everyone took cover wherever they could, Sam and Sadie both hiding under their desks. A few seconds later the shaking stopped. Everyone breathed heavily as they cautiously got out from their hiding spots. "Is everyone alright?" The teacher asked the class. To which the students gave confirmation.
Suddenly a voice was heard over the loudspeaker.
"THIS IS PRINCIPAL TAYLORS, ALL TEACHERS AND STAFF TAKE ANY AND ALL STUDENTS OUTSIDE, THIS IS NOT A DRILL. THERE IS EXPECTED TO BE MORE EARTHQUAKE ACTIVITY WITHIN THE COMING MINUTES. I REPEAT, EVERYONE PLEASE GRAB YOUR THINGS QUICKLY AND EXIT THE BUILDING, STAY WITH YOUR TEACHERS, AND ANY STUDENTS WHO ARE IN THE HALLS OR OTHERWISE OUTSIDE OF CLASS PLEASE REPORT TO ME WHEN YOU EXIT."
The students didn't need to hear that twice, but hardly anyone stayed with their own teacher. Students were shoving Sam in all directions to get out the quickest. She held onto Sadie's hand as the two also ran out of the school. After getting in line with her classmates so that her teacher could make sure all of them stayed in one place, Sam texted the group chat she had with her friends.
SAM: "What in the name of Ninjago is going on?"
JANE: "I have no idea- are you all okay?"
May: 👍
Peni: "Yeah, all good here. But this is super weird- right?"
Madison: "Agreed."
Madison: "Earthquakes don't HAPPEN here- like, Ever- only if like a 50ft statue was walking around the city, or if there was a giant snake- but- I don't think Ninjago is under attack. this seems like just a random quake. We're not on any fault lines or anything- so why now?"
Sadie: "So- What's going on? We just DID have a quake- but how did it form in the first place?"
Madison: "That's what I'd want to know- ? This is all kinds of strange-"
Victoria: "WEIRD! D: D: D: D: "
Another earthquake then occurred. Around 60% of the students screamed, the adults telling them to get on the ground. This one was a bit stronger, and caused car alarms to go off, the glass in not only the school but surrounding areas to break. And also small cracks started appearing in the school. This time the shaking lasted longer, but it stopped eventually. Most of the students got off the ground, though some were too frightened from the ordeal to move.
Sadie looked at her friend. The two were frightened, to say the least. "Do you think that's the end of it?" Sam asked. Sadie shook her head, "Not sure- but I'm going to say there is a possibility we will have more." Sam sighed at this response. She hoped Sadie was wrong.
Just at that moment, Sam heard heavy footsteps come to a stop behind her. She looked in that direction, and so did a lot of people in her class line including Sadie. There was a man, standing there, with a dark purple cloak. The hood was up covering his face, and Sam noticed he wore dark grey clothes. Sam noticed the inside of his cape looked like a galaxy. She didn't know why, but seeing this unknown man with his hood covering most of his face put her on edge- Who WAS he?
"There you are...Hiding in plain sight..." He smiled evilly, and even though his eyes were covered Sam felt like he was staring into her soul. He was definitely talking about her. "Uhm- Can we help you?" Another teacher asked the man. The man turned to her. "Yes, I need her." He pointed at Sam. "She's not going anywhere with YOU." Jane, showing up out of nowhere, told the man. "Yeah...what she said,'' Sadie added. Trying her best to sound as confident as Jane. The man shook his head. "I'm sorry- that wasn't really a request." With lightning speed the man disappeared, reappearing behind Jane. He kicked her in the side, and pushed the female teacher who stood next to her onto the ground, hard. The action caused Jane to go flying a few feet, faceplanting her in the ground. " ugh!- y... you JERK!" She spat after a moment. Every student was now frantic, they all were screaming again, much louder than before. Even so, the man kept his eyes on Sam.
She wasn't sure of what else to do besides run. So she did just that. Sadie and Sam both booked it for the school building. It was difficult wading through the sea of frightened kids, but they were all dispersing quite quickly, allowing Sam and Sadie to make it into the school. Uki, Victoria, And Maria all met up with the duo, noticing the situation. May and Madison stood with Jane who was on the ground, while also calling the cops.
Peni and Nagi both blocked the man from getting closer to the main entrance, and the others ran inside. The man looked at Peni and laughed. "Are you supposed to be threatening? you look like you belong in the elementary school down the street!" he mocked, moving his face closer to her as if he was a giant. Peni didn't flinch, but instead, whacked him in the head with a hardcover book Nagi slipped into one of her hands from her backpack while he wasn't looking. He cursed under his breath as he took a second to recompose himself. While he did so, Nagi started throwing colored crayons at the man. "Did you just throw a color stick at me?" He asked, slightly shocked. It didn't hurt but made him question his life choices a bit. She threw two more. Both making direct hits "Oh- ow- hey! Stop that!" He grabbed her arm and yanked the box of crayons out of her hand, throwing it to the side. She chuckled nervously, and he threw her to the ground like a rag doll, landing close to where Jane and Madison were. Madison sighed deeply while May checked on her. The man turned his attention to the other female but found he could not find her. "HIYAAAAAHHHH!" came a voice from behind. Peni kicked him in the chest, hard. He stumbled back a tiny bit. "haha! More where that came from!" She challenged. "ENOUGH!" The man yelled, he raced at her, in a matter of a few seconds, he held her by the throat. Peni was caught by surprise, as he easily picked her up from her spot on the ground. She slightly gasped as her body realized its oxygen supply was being cut off. With great force, He tossed her on the ground near Madison and Nagi. They all groaned in pain. Madison shook her head in disapproval. "That was stupid." Peni looked at Madison and took in shallow breaths, rubbing her neck. Jane then also rushed at the man, trying to get several punches in but failing, having most of them either being blocked or being too weak to cause any major damage. Though a few managed to hit. Mordecai scoffed at Jane, he caught one of her punches and began twisting her arm. Jane let out a wail in pain and he took the moment to kick her in her side, then send two punches into her. She bent over in pain and the man shoved her to the ground. "Jane!" May shouted, she was about halfway to reaching her friend when the man eyed her with cold, unfeeling eyes. May's eyes widened as she just froze, quivering in fear. He didn't pay her any mind and walked up to the entrance to the school. Once he was far enough away, May ran over to Jane and walked her to where Madison was, who was checking on the others.
May placed Jane on the ground softly, she was in an upright position and clenched her side. "Better to try and fail than do nothing." Jane spat from her spot on the ground. May had a look of intense worry on her face as her eyes darted to her four friends. Jane then began to get up, looking at the door to the school as if she was a hunter looking for her prey. A gentle hand from May stopped her. May shook her head. "Don't." Jane looked upset, "Why not?" "You could be seriously injured, broken bones- maybe internal bleeding..." Jane sighed. "Again with you assuming the worse, I feel fine!" Madison looked like she was about to say something else before Jane beat her to it. "And don't start- don't say that "Injuries can show up later"! Sam needs help now! If I'm on an operating table within 24 hours that'll be fine because Sam will be." May and Madison gave her a sincere look. Jane paused and stopped getting up. "Fine. Have it your way, I- I'll stay here..."
The girls booked it through the first floor. Making their way to the end of the hall, Sadie grabbed a chair from a nearby classroom and used it to block the stairwell that lead to the second and third floors. They knew it wouldn't take long for the man to figure out where they were going, but a few seconds was a few seconds.
The group headed and found whatever sort of weapon they could. Uki acquired a fire extinguisher. Sadie had found a mop. Victoria held a broom. Maria found herself a rake that luckily was left alone during the chaos. Sam, meanwhile- held a pair of-
"Safety Scissors?! Really?"
"It's the deadliest thing I could find!"
"Not even regular-?-Ugh it- it's fine it's whatever... Just get ready girls..."
Maria shook her head. It was better than having no weapon, she guessed. The girls backed up into the end of the hallway on the third floor. they all trembled slightly, but even more when they heard heavy footsteps approaching like clockwork. "Stomp-Stomp-Stomp-" Like a perfect rhythm. It creeped Sam out.
He eventually opened the door to the stairwell, after a short walk, coming face to face with the girls. "Stop! Right this instance! Or- Or we- we'll-" Victoria stammered, looking between her foe and her friends with hesitancy. "OR WE'LL HAVE TO GO ALL NINJA UP ON YA!" Maria finished. Everyone just paused and looked at her. Looking very confused. "We're not ninja dummy-" Sadie huffed. Maria gave her a glare. The man laughed, it was sinister and malicious. "Cute. You all are just too ADORABLE! But you know what SHE is- right?" He pointed at Sam. "M-m- Me?" Sam gasped. The others looked at her. "Is there some sort of secret your holding from us or something?" Uki wondered. Sam shook her head. "Of Course NOT!" The man laughed again. "Say what you want, now- as much as fighting you is fun- I really don't want to cause any more injuries than I have to. Now I suggest you come with me or things will become dicey." The girls shook their heads. "Not in a million years, buddy." Maria hissed, her tone growing serious. "Fine. Let's do this the hard way." The man smiled, His first foe was Maria. She got a hit or two in, but they didn't do much damage. He grabbed the rake mid-swing on her last try to attack. She looked very unhappy. He tossed it to the side, and when she tried to run and get it back, he turned her to face him and kneed her in the stomach three times, hard. Maria seethed slightly from the pain, using the wall as a support to prevent herself from falling over. Victoria also started to attack the man, but she was no better than her friends, with the man taking her broom and breaking it in half. He took one of Victoria's long ponytails and pulled it hard, causing her to yelp in alarm. He took her other ponytail and also yanked hard, which almost made her cry. Quickly, he pulled out her hair ties, shifting all of her hair to the front so that it was blocking her vision, kicking her to the ground. Then, Sadie started using the mop like a makeshift whip of sorts to fling the water and make the strands sting the man. It didn't work as well as she intended, mostly because she didn't put enough force behind it. The man grabbed the mop and also broke it in half with a single clean break, which made the girl panic. She tried to punch him, but He took Sadie's arm and pulled it behind her back. She tried to swipe him with her other free hand but he grabbed it, holding it in midair while keeping the other one behind her back. Sadie was completely subdued but tried in vain to break her hands free of his hold. He turned her to face the other two girls. "NO-STOP!" Sam ordered. "Stop hurting my friends!" Her eyes were almost filled with tears at this point. The man walked closer, to where Uki was guarding Sam. "What- what do you want from her anyways?" Uki asked. "It's none of your business, child." Sam felt shudders creep up on her when he said that. Uki held the fire extinguisher. "Don't come closer! I will use this!" Uki stated. The man cackled, giving her a look. "You don't even know how- silly girl. I've grown tired of these games! Now- come with me, or else I will kill this one." He referenced Sadie, who he still held captive. "YOU'RE- BLUFFING!" Maria weakly cried. Though the anger in her voice was all too prevalent. He turned his gaze slightly to the girl. He scoffed, "Am I?" the man produced a blade out of nowhere. "I didn't want to have it end like this but since you are so INSISTANT-" He paused, taking in a breath. "I will kill her with a single blow." He held the knife to Sadie's throat. Sadie's eyes grew wide and her mouth agape. She tensed and grew as still as a statue. She felt the cold blade's sharpness. "Come with me, and they are spared. Don't, you'll watch them die." The air got very tense all of a sudden. Sam didn't know what to do. She hung her head and let the safety scissors fall. "Seriously?!" Maria objected. "SAM NO-! WHAT WILL HE DO TO YOU?!" Uki wailed. Sam shook her head. "I don't think he'll hurt me that much- just- stay here, wait for the medics to arrive, and let them know that our friends are hurt- Now, let's just go. Maria and Victoria need to at the very least need to be seen by those medics..." Sam explained. The man grew an evil grin."That's better" The man grabbed Sam's arm, letting go of Sadie and pushing her out of the way. After that, he used some sort of smoke bomb, with a flash the two were gone.
The girls all coughed slightly from the smoke that had appeared out of nowhere. They all were shocked when the two had simply vanished into thin air. "Oh no-" Maria quietly whispered, holding her stomach. "Oh Sam-" Victoria cried, fixing her hair back into her twin tails. "I hope you know what you're doing," Maria whispered to herself. "C'mon, let's head back downstairs and meet up with the others-" Uki stated. No one argued, and they all followed her back to the main floor.
A few minutes later, police and ambulances showed up at the school. Luckily, no one had to go to the hospital as none of the injuries were that severe. After a visit, the paramedics left the school, giving the girls, in particular, a clean bill of health, either than giving general first aid when necessary, like with Jane's scraped knee or a cut on Maria's head that she didn't notice until outside of the building. One of the leading officers told the girls that they would be taken to the police station for questioning by their family. After questioning some other witnesses, they left the remaining students and staff behind. Now, all of them stood in a circle of sorts looking very deflated and saddened. "He took her- I mean, just like that- took her, no warning, no nothin'," Maria complained. A tinge of guilt in her words. "There's gotta be a way to get her back! I mean, there has to be, right?" Victoria sighed. "I hope there is- I wanna find that guy in particular and give him a piece of my mind! That creepy scumbag needs to pay!" Jane proclaimed. "I like your spirit." A male voice was heard, Jane and the other's heads shot quickly in the direction it came from. Was that who they thought it was? They saw that the source of the voice was A young blonde-haired man with green eyes and a green ninja gi. "You're saying he kidnapped your friend? Did you see where they went?"
It was Lloyd, the green ninja. Peni, Victoria, Nagi, and Maria had their mouths fully agape. "uh- No...we didn't...But what we do know is that he -uhm-" Uki paused, feeling slightly shy with the stare from Lloyd's green eyes looking down on her. "He wore this dark cloak, with the inside looking like a galaxy of sorts. All different kinds of colors." Lloyd paused and pursed his lips. His expression changed to concern. "What? What is it? Do you know who he is?" May wondered, picking up on the change in Lloyd's facial expression immediately. He paused, looking at May. "Not- Exactly, but the guy that you just mentioned sounds familiar enough." the girls waited for him to elaborate, and when he didn't, Maria huffed impatiently. "Well, who is he?!" She asked, holding her hands out to her sides in a dramatic fashion. Lloyd paused. "Don't worry about it, me and my team will take care of things, you'll be fine here..." "So what?! That's it? You're going to keep us in the dark?! Sam is OUR friend you know!" Maria objected. "Would you stop that?" Jane winced, giving Maria a slight glare. "Stop what?!" Maria threw her hands in aggravation. Suddenly a sound from a few yards away drew everyone's attention. "GIRLS!" "MAY!" "VICTORIA!" "JANE!" Four voices, coming from four individuals grew in volume. "There's my cue," Lloyd said, he ran off in another direction, getting on a motorbike that the girls didn't notice until that point. Maria growled to herself, turning her attention to the four adults who stood before them. It was Peni's brother, Victoria's Mom, Jane's older sister, and May's Dad. Who all wore looks of concern. They hugged their own respective children (or in the sibling's case, their siblings.) Jane's older sister Amanda then placed reassuring hands on Madison's and Jane's shoulders. "Are you all alright? What happened? We weren't told much aside that some guy came on campus during the earthquakes...and that he went after Sam or something?..." The girls nodded. "She's gone...he took her...We don't know who he is or why- it was scary." May cried softly, leaning into her Dad for support, who rubbed the top of her head and gave her a slight kiss. "It'll be alright- the police will find her...Or the ninja..That WAS Lloyd who just came, wasn't it?" Peni nodded, "Sure was! The green ninja himself!" "What did he want?" Carson wondered. "I think he knew the guy who took her- he wouldn't tell us who he was though, Probably wouldn't want us finding him ourselves and getting in his way." Madison inferred crossing her hands over her chest.
"Ok- Let's change the topic, is it true that you all tried to fight him ALONE? What were you all thinking?! That was extremely risky.." Victoria's mother, Marigold, gave her daughter a disappointed look. "WE COULDN'T Just-" Maria then realized her tone and volume were louder than it needed to be. She breathed. "We couldn't just-" She paused again, biting her bottom lip and exhaling through her nose, her hands naturally moving to her hips. "-Watch Sam get hurt. It was like He was hunting her down like prey- we had to do something." The adults sighed. "At least none of you are hurt badly, But speaking of the cops- they called each and every one of us. We all chatted in a group text, and we're meeting your families at the police station, they want to interview you 9. We're just here to bring you all there." The girls looked at each other and sighed, they knew this was coming, and although by their faces they would rather do anything but talk to cops, they all went along with it. They all loaded up into the four vehicles and the group sped off from the school, with other officers talking to the principal and other members of staff, news stations also began to pull up at this point and were interviewing random students. Nagi, Peni, and Uki sat in Carson's truck. As they drove off, Nagi looked back at the school, which now looked a bit like a wreck. "Everything is going to be alright, they'll find her." Carson said, trying to be reassuring. Peni, who was sitting shotgun, had her hand to the window, also looking back at the school just like Nagi. "I hope you're right, big bro."
