This story answers some questions left unanswered by CIC, and plays around with the characters from 24. You might also notice I use elements from my previous 24 stories. It also goes into certain recent events, like the evacuation from Afghanistan and the war between Russia and Ukraine.

115. Chapter 115

Kim and Nicole arrive at the chapel. Others are here, praying for their loved ones, some are lighting candles for the recently deceased. Kim sees Mary here, obviously praying for Jamal. Whatever their differences Kim and Mary both want Jamal to be okay.

President Keaton gets another update from Gardner.

.

Gardner: Ten of the twelve bombs have been stopped, no civilian or CTU person killed.

Keaton: We have some very good agents. What about the other two bombs?

Gardner: Still in the Baltimore area. We have to assume that they both know we're on to them. There is the distinct possibility they will try to attack the White House.

Keaton: Would the explosions even be able to penetrate the security?

Gardner: That's unknown. I think you should go to the bunker as a precaution. President Allen and speaker Templeton are already there.

President Keaton didn't like the idea of leaving while others were in danger, but Gardner was right. Mackensie Allen wasn't in the best state of mind, given the death of her son, and Keaton didn't trust Templeton to make the right decisions. Keaton was still praying for the best, but also preparing for the worst, as he went to the bunker.

Jack Bauer and Tony Almeida get closer to the signal. Finally they see reverand Adam in his car, and immediately move on him. They shoot out his tires and incapacitate him. Adam tries to detonate his explosives, but Jack and Tony stop him and drag him out of his car. They secure the scene and protect the civilians.

Split screens show Jack and Tony securing the scene and arresting Adam, president Keaton being moved to the bunker, CTU working on finding the last bomber, Kim and Nicole praying together, Kyle Singer on one of the last helicopters to leave Kabul.

Jack calls George Mason.

.

Jack: We have reverand Adam in custody, the bombs are secure.

Mason: That's good, but there's also some bad news. We found the last tracker, it was on a pizza delivery truck.

Jack: So you found the last bombs?

Mason: No, just the tracker. We spoke with the driver, he said he just delivered a pizza to two women on a park bench. We showed him pictures and he identified Adam's daughter Eve, and the terrorist Georgia. They found the tracker and planted it on the cash they gave to this guy.

Jack: You're telling me that we have no idea where the last bombs are or what their new target might be?

Mason: That's exactly what I'm telling you Jack.
