About an hour and a half later, both Ratchet and Wheeljack showed up with the cryogenic chamber for Wolf's body. They used their holoforms and pushed the chamber into the hospital. The Dr. had asked them what they were doing.
"We were asked to bring this for a friend."
"And who would that be?"
Just then, Prime walked up.
"Thank you for bringing this to me, Ratchet."
"You had them bring this? Why?"
"I'm taking my daughter back to base for a proper military funeral."
"She was military? What branch?"
"Not U. S. military, Dr."
"Optimus, can we take this to her room, please?"
It dawned on the Dr. just exactly who this guy was standing in front of him.
"My apologies, Optimus. Not use to you Autobots using different forms. My condolences on the loss of your daughter."
Prime nodded then turned to Ratchet. "Yes, Ratchet. You and Wheeljack can take it to Wolf's room. Vince and Throttle are there."
"I just need you to fill out the paperwork so I can release her body to you. Again, my condolences, Optimus."
"Thank you, Dr." Then he followed the Dr. so he can fill out the paperwork. Ratchet and Wheeljack took the cryo chamber to Wolf's room.
Wolf's room. There was a knock on the door.
"Who would be knocking on the door, Throttle?"
"I don't know, Vince. Let's find out."
Throttle stood up and answered the door. Ratchet and Wheeljack were there with the cryo chamber.
"That the thing to take Wolf back to base?"
"Yeah. So sorry, Throttle. Wolf was our dearest friend. She's going to get the best military funeral she deserves."
"She'd like that, Ratchet. I'm glad she had good friends in her life."
Both Ratchet and Throttle carefully took Wolf's body from the bed and put her in the chamber, then Wheeljack turned it on so it would freeze her body 'til they got back to the base.
"Thank you for doing this, Ratchet. This means a lot."
"You're welcome, Throttle. Anyone get a hold of her daughter on Cybertron?"
"Prime said he was going to, but no clue if he had yet. He said he was going to email her. He's worried that Magnus would find out and be happy about her death."
"Yeah, he would. He really had it out for her after hearing about all the previous relationships she had before him."
"I heard about that spotless rep. he has. More important than Wolf. Bastard."
"That sums up Magnus, alright."
"Take a seat, you 2. Tell me everything you know about my wife. Its obvious that you know more about her than I do."
"Maybe at the wake. Right now, let's get her back to the base. You need to write an eulogy for her."
"True, but I'm not sure what to really say."
"Speak from the heart. She's told me you're good at that."
Throttle smiled and nodded. "That I am."
While everyone was talking, Prime walked in.
"Is she ready, Ratchet?"
"Yes. We had to bring a heavy duty truck for it."
"Tell me you didn't bring my Autobot self?"
"We had to, Optimus. Neither of us can carry it in vehicle mode."
"Its ok, Wheeljack. I'll need one of you to ride with her."
"I'll do it, Prime. I built it."
Prime nodded then they all walked out to the parking lot with the cryo chamber.
Autobot HQ. All the Autobots were standing outside, waiting for Optimus to show up with the cryo chamber with his daughter in it.
There was 2 lines on either side of the entrance of HQ. Prowl gave the command to salute as Prime slowly drove by everyone. They all continued to salute 'til everyone had drove by.
"At ease!" Then everyone walked back into the base. They all were silent the rest of the day.
Med bay. Ratchet and Wheeljack had unloaded the cryo chamber and set it against the wall for right now. Prime had transformed and activated his holoform. He walked up to the chamber and put his hand on it.
"I'm so sorry, Wolf. I wish you were still here. With us. With…me. Rest in peace, my beautiful daughter. May Primus be with you."
Prime deactivated his holoform and headed for his office. He didn't want to be disturbed for the rest of the day.
"Poor guy. I know his spark is breaking. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a family member."
Prime's office. He had debated on either emailing his niece or just calling her. He opted on just calling her. He just hoped he didn't get Magnus.
He put in the code for long distance calls to Cybertron. Then put in another code to get a hold of his niece. Then it's the waiting game.
A few mins. later, she came up on screen.
"Uncle Prime. Its good to see you. How's my mom and my half-brother?"
"Your father isn't around, is he?"
"I'm over at his place right now. Want me to get him?"
"No. The news I have would make him happy, unfortunately. This isn't happy news."
"What's going on, uncle Prime? Is my mom ok? I had made plans to come to Earth and see her for a few weeks."
"Keep those plans. You need to be here."
"You're beating around the bush, uncle Prime."
"You're just like your mother, rest her spark."
"Are…are you saying what I think?"
"I'm afraid so, Charlene. Your mother passed away earlier today. I'm so sorry."
"That's why you didn't want my dad to know? Why?"
"He would have been happy to hear that your mother is dead. His reputation was more important than her past relationships."
"I understand now. Do you still want to talk to him?"
"Yes. Regardless of how he'll react, he should know."
"Then I'll go get him. Hold on."
While Prime was waiting to talk to Magnus, someone came knocking on his door. He pushed a button and let the person in. Prowl walked in.
"I apologize, Prime. Just letting you know that Throttle left."
"He's hurting. I'll call him after I'm done here."
"He's radio silent. He won't answer anyone."
"Then I'll go look for him. Thank you, Prowl. I don't want to be disturbed for any reason."
"Understood. My deepest condolences on your loss, Prime."
Prime nodded then Prowl left. Magnus had just come on the screen.
"What can I do for you, Optimus?"
"I don't care how you take the news, Magnus, but Wolf passed away earlier today."
Magnus sat there in silence. He was actually shocked.
"I…I don't know what to say? When's the funeral?"
"In the next couple of days. Thank you for not making any rude comments about her."
"I know she's your daughter, Optimus. I am so very sorry for everything I ever said to and about her. I had seen the resemblance between you and her when the 5 of you were here. How's your son taking this?"
"He's hurting bad, Magnus. I just got word from Prowl that her mate just left. He's also hurting."
"I didn't know she found someone knew after me. What about Skywarp and his twins? Shouldn't they be notified?"
"Only if Megatron will allow them to leave."
"You better find out then. Let me know what day and Charlene and I will be there. Our condolences, Prime."
"Thank you, Magnus." Then he ended the call. "That went better than expected."
Prime got up from his office and headed for the front of the base. He knew Throttle needed some space. Since they still had the basketball court, Prime decided to occupy his mind with something fun. He really wasn't in the mood, but he needed to distract himself for the day.
Later in the night, Prime called Megatron. He knew this was going to be hard on Skywarps' twins. They love their mother.
"This is a pleasant surprise. What do I owe the call, Optimus?"
"I need to talk to Skywarp."
"Why?"
"Wolf passed away."
"I'm sorry to hear that. My condolences. Him and Thundercracker aren't here right now. I will have him call you when they get back. They're making an energon run for me."
"They're..running errands?"
"After fining out that 2 of your children were killed, I had decided to end the war. Its hard to believe but I'm a family mech, Prime. Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker are my triplet boys. And now having 2 grandsons, It was time to end the war."
"I'm glad to hear that, Megatron. I wish Wolf was still alive to hear this. She would be so happy to know that the war is finally over."
"I did really like her. Even if she was a spy. She had a positive influence on just about everyone here."
"That's nice to hear you say that. The funeral will be in the next couple of days. I've already notified Ultra Magnus and his daughter on Cybertron."
"We will all be there. Just let me know. I have to go spend some time with my grandsons. They have me hooked on a war game called Call of Duty."
Prime chuckled. "What?"
"Sideswipe and Sunstreaker played the same game. If the twins want to talk, they can call me. Same goes to Skywarp, too."
"Thank you, Prime. We'll see you in a couple of days. Megatron out."
After Prime cut the connection, he headed for his room. He needed to write an eulogy for his daughter. He still couldn't believe that she was gone. His spark hurt so much. He wanted to rip it out so he wouldn't have to feel like this.
