Drip, drip, drip a sound that would drive most insane but it keeps Mitsuomi Kiriyu sane in his dark and dank cell. The sound is a welcomed reminder of his sanity or insanity, his chains rattle as he carves a line to correspond with how many days he has been here in captivity. The pain from his carving keeps him anchored to reality as after nearly forty days and nights there were moments of hallucinations. One in particular comes to mind as he was awakened by a searing pain and finding a strange black pyramid-shape mark on his left hand.
"They won't break me" mitsuomi mutters, because the moment he did break he will die. The information inside his head is the only thing keeping him alive for now but no matter their method, genjutsu or physical would ever force him to utter a word. The binding seal on his tongue is the reason for it but even after somehow removing it from his mouth he remains silent and their patience is wearing thin, perhaps one day they'll snap and kill him. Then mitsuomi can take all his secrets to the sweet embrace of lady death. They use electricity and he remains silent, they moved to tying him to a wooden wheel and submerging him in freezing cold water to the point of his lips turning blue and every inch of his body felt like millions of needles were stinging his skin but again he did not break. On day sixty mitsuomi drifts in and out of the waking world as his whole body feels numb. The latest bout of genjutsu has been the hardest to resist but he succeeded, despite endless loops of his tortuous childhood in service of his master. His existence for the past eleven years is thanks to one man and his whim of saving him from a battlefield.
"What kind of Mother fights on the battlefield nine months pregnant?!.. If not for Danzo.. You never would've existed and he Never lets you forget it" a sultry voice says. Danzo Shimura a man who believes emotions were a sin against nature, yet he is jealous, arrogant, condescending and manipulative. He was always told him his parents were traitors to Konohagakure and he needs to work for him to work off their debts. This belief is why mitsuomi took the mission to infiltrate Kumogakure and steal their carefully guarded secrets, doing so by getting close to the Raikage's brother Killer-B over three years. However his cover was blown and the Yondaime Raikage Ei did not care he was a child, subjecting him to such tortures to learn his secrets as he tried to learn theirs.
"Come on Kid Talk!.. Your Mission is a wash" one dark skin man shouts. Mitsuomi is tied to a chair with three of his fingers broken at odd angles, "You were sold out.. How do you think we figured you out otherwise" another says, roughly grabbing his head and looking in his near lifeless steel-blue eyes.
"Who is your spy... I believed we had an agreement... Yet another Rat is in our ranks" an unfamiliar voice says, on a recording.
"You are working too slow for my liking.. The War is dragging on for far too long" another voice says and mitsuomi immediately recognizes danzo's voice.
"And what.. You think stealing our plans and your Rat getting close to Killer-B was enough.. The Raikage is Livid.. There will be no ceasefire at this point.. Even if Iwa has left the war" the first says.
"What If I give you the Rat's identity" danzo says and a pause, "It's what Ei wants is it not.. I'll give you his name and you get me a ceasefire.. If not I go through with what was given to me" danzo says.
"You would sell out one of your own.. Here I thought Konoha was Noble" the first says.
"He is a pawn.. Sometimes pawns are sacrificed.. He is no One.. I raised him be sacrificed for Konoha and win the war" danzo says. That last line is enough to send mitsuomi's world shifting on is axis and a bout of nausea hitting him with vomit spewing from mouth.
"Now you see Boy.. You were sold out by your Leader" the kumo shinobi says, "So why persist.. Talk and I will give you a Quick death" he adds.
"And" mitsuomi whispers, before being kicked over. The kumo shinobi grabs the legs of the chair and tosses it with enough force to break it on the wall, "Why protect a village who betrayed you?!.. You Just heard your leader give you up for a Ceasefire" he shouts. Mitsuomi lays amidst the broken wood but knows this is just a tactic to get him to break under emotional pressure, it would be easy to get someone to mimic danzo's voice.
"Are you sure.. You know how Annoying Danzo's voice is.. His grating inflection" a voice says.
"You are a pawn.. Easily dispensable and easily replaced.. You heard how easy Danzo gave you up for a Ceasefire that will not happen.. So you all you did was for nothing.. Meaning you are Nothing" the kumo shinobi says, hammering nothing home. It was danzo's constant word for him when his training stalled for ineptness in his words, always nothing if not for him.
"It is laughable a Nothing like you remains loyal when your home tosses you aside.. You devoted three years to this and like that..." the kumo shinobi says and snaps his fingers, "Danzo sells you out for His convenience.. I guess it easier to let you die than bringing you home.. Especially because you are Nothing" he adds. White noise fills mitsuomi's ears but every nothing pierces through like a lightning bolt, "Why am I doing this" he thought.
"Because you wanted to prove you exist.. That you are not Nothing" a voice says.
"Who are you" mitsuomi thought and the voice giggles.
"I am Beelzebub Otsutsuki and if you accept me.. I will make sure No one harms you again" the voice says, as the mark mitsuomi's left glows and spreads. The next thing mitsuomi feels is rain on his body and washing blood off his skin, behind him is a destroyed facility and scores of dead in various states of gore. An almost broken laughter escapes mitsuomi's mouth as lightning drowns it out but on this day it was the awakening of a ghost and eventual leader of organization bent on cleansing the world's corruption by any means.

Kushina Uzumaki watches her childhood friend Yahiko pace around their hideout in the highest building of Amegakure, while the third of her friends Konan looks out into the rain and using her origami to make butterflies fly in the rain. He is animatedly explaining his dream of a peaceful future and what that entails, while she sits uncomfortably listening and avoiding his wide arm movements with her eyes hidden behind special goggles.
"We have about a hundred members but our influence doesn't expand beyond Ame's borders" konan says, breaking yahiko's looping rant.
"Then we need to expand outward.. Kai mentioned towns being overrun by mercenaries paid by a politician called Daiso" yahiko says.
"Will we help them" konan says and wasn't surprised by his quick yes, something kushina giggles about. So the ame trio trained by one of the Densetsu no Sannin and about a dozen members head to the town of Talpa in the Land of Woods to free the town and expand their names. However reaching talpa did the Akatsuki as they were called find a man laying face down with broken limbs.
"This is one of the Mercs" kai says, after checking for a pulse.
"Could someone in town do this" konan asks.
"I doubt it.. When I was here.. People were afraid of them.. This speaks of Shinobi training" kai says.
"Well let's find Daiso" yahiko says, as kai leads the way. The other members remain behind to protect the citizens while the trio follow kai but soon find another body, then two and at most six in one place.
"They are all Mercs" kai says and solidifies to yahiko that a skilled foe is here.
"Can we take them" yahiko thought but didn't approve of their methods, could they be swayed to their side perhaps. They soon reach the street of daiso's home and a thick wave of Killing Intent hits, enough to send kai into hysterics but the ame trio rush forward. Yahiko reaches the home first as a hooded but small figure drags daiso out as the fat man pleads for his life, "He looks younger than us" yahiko thought.
"Are you the one who killed these men?!" yahiko says.
"And if I am" the figure says, his face hidden by a mask. It is half black and half white like a yin-yang symbol, the black half has a frown and the white half a smile.
"What is your motive" yahiko asks.
"I am eradicating corruption" the figure says and all three blink in surprise but more so his voice is one of a pubescent child.
"Corruption... There are better ways to resolve corruption beyond simple violence.. Killing him will not lead to a resolution" yahiko says and daiso rapidly nods his head, the former hoping his words could reach someone so young.
"He rules this place through Fear and Violence.. He preyed on this place at their lowest point.. Doing Whatever to make himself Richer" the figure says, a threatening tone in his voice and a poignant pause erupts, as the three interpret his words and hidden meanings.
"So should he live.. After the things he's done" the figure says and yahiko's answer is an immediate is that he should repent.
"Killing him is easy but Reforming such a man corrupted by greed would take time and effort but could be worth it.. I created Akatsuki with my friends to utilize peaceful methods of change" yahiko says.
"Then you are Woefully Naive" the figure says.
"What gives you the right to decide who live and who dies" kushina says but after her words left her mouth daiso is dead.
"I've heard of you and your group.. You think your methods of obtaining peace without violence is Righteous and Just but there is no such thing left in this world.. Again you are Naive" the figure says.
"Naive?!.. Then what should we do" yahiko says, angered by being called such but the figure remains silent.
"So we should enter into a Endless cycle of violence" yahiko adds.
"Perhaps" the figure says, preparing to leave.
"You're an Orphan aren't you" kushina says and the figure freezes.
"We're orphans too.. Our parents died during the war.. We grew up scavenging for food each day.. We learned Shinobi arts from a great but flawed man to protect and not kill... Look I don't know your story or what you've gone through.. However I can tell you have a kind heart.. Even if our methods vary.. You can't let those in power take advantage of the weak" yahiko says.
"A kind heart is something I lost" the figure says.
"Then perhaps we can help each other.. Join Akatsuki.. Your power can be used for good" yahiko says.
"Though an intriguing offer.. I doubt you would like my methods and I don't intend to change..." the figure says not knowing his name.
"Yahiko" yahiko supplies.
"I doubt this will be our last meeting Yahiko.. Call me Ghost" the figure says and vanishes with a buzz of static.
"I don't think we could have taken him" kushina says but yahiko's thoughts were on getting ghost into akatsuki and no one could tell him otherwise.

It has been six months since escaping his captors and two years since meeting the akatsuki trio as the now fifteen-year-old mitsuomi is sitting in booth of a dango shop with a several trays of dango, his thoughts sometimes drifting to the ame trio.
"Perhaps you should have joined them" beelzebub or beel says.
"I didn't feel the need to.. However I may now need to" mitsuomi thought, looking at a report from his spy inside Ne. The pink hair girl followed him around when he was training in Ne and she promised to see him again as a powerful kunoichi. Hanzo of ame and danzo of konoha were joining forces to eradicate akatsuki but he would intervene, "Will you join them then" beel says.
"We will see.. We will see" mitsuomi thought, finishing his dango and tea. A few days later mitsuomi is hiding in a tree on route to ame and sees a group of twenty Ne moving below him. He waits until last one passes and he drops down with two kunai through her neck, then three shadow clones appear and strike at the rear of the formation. Quickly the remaining Ne move into action and engage mitsuomi but thanks beel's kāma mark allows him the use of Bekutoru Henkan. This power allows him to control and manipulate vectors keeping him from being harmed but also able to send even a simple rock with enough force to explode a head.
"Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu" one says, spewing a fireball and another using wind, increasing its size. Mitsuomi absorbs the fireball with ease and brings his boot down to create a small localized earthquake to throw them off and then creates a vacuum as the remaining Ne start to choke as he holds his breath.
"Maybe use your clones to do this" beel says, as the last Ne chokes out their last breath. Mitsuomi stares at the corpses of more than likely former comrades and takes a mask from one, "I will" he says, heading to find the akatsuki members. He reaches a cliff and sees dozens of bodies with kushina on her knees in front of someone's body as konan is next to her, before leaping down and getting their attention.
"G-ghost?!" kushina says and mitsuomi sees her ripple patterned eyes but also yahiko's corpse.
"What are you doing here.. Are you aiding Hanzo?!" konan says, anger in her tone and hot tears masked by rain.
"No.. I came to aid you.. I even killed a group of Konoha Ne coming to aid Hanzo" mitsuomi says, tossing a blank mask in front of them.
"Konoha?!" konan says.
"Yes.. Your group became enough of a threat to Hanzo.. He went to Konoha for help" mitsuomi says.
"Yahiko died because of Konoha" kushina says, KI leaking from her.
"What happened to her eyes" mitsuomi says.
"None of your concern" konan snaps. Mitsuomi looks over yahiko and kneels to one knee, "My words will sound Harsh but Yahiko died a Fool's death.. I do not know what Yahiko did before his death but he made the wrong choice" he says, reflecting several paper shuriken.
"He died for me and our dream!" konan snaps.
"And how many more have died here with him.. His Naivety killed him and most of your group... Power changes things and Akatsuki needs it" mitsuomi says.
"What does That mean?!" kushina says, her haunting eyes unblinking. Mitsuomi rises to his full height and extends his hand, "I offer Akatsuki Power" he says.

Mitsuomi moves through the rains of ame towards the border and left kushina and konan to mourn yahiko but also think on his offer, "Do you believe they will accept" beel says and mitsuomi looks to the sky. The pair explained to him that things were going well between them and hanzo but it changed as he kidnapped konan, luring them into his trap that cost yahiko and many comrades their lives.
"They perhaps will" mitsuomi says but turns back as a strange sight emerges from the ground. It is large green bulb of a plant and opens to reveal a literal black and white humanoid with shaggy green hair, pupil-less yellow eyes and sharp teeth.
"You are not easy to track down Mitsuomi Kiriyu former Shinobi of Konoha" it says, light in its tone. Mitsuomi narrows his eyes as someone who knows his true moniker is very dangerous and walks on the side of caution with this one.
"And you have been following me for some time..." mitsuomi says.
"Zetsu.. You impress me with sensing my presence.. You were not meant to" it says but darker this time. Mitsuomi's entire existence has been one of being not meant for things, his birth from a corpse, his training with danzo and his torture in kumo made him keenly aware of things he was not meant to know.
"What do you want" mitsuomi says, preparing to fight zetsu if needed but it seems more support than frontline.
"We wish to form an alliance with you" zetsu says.
"We?!" mitsuomi says.
"Yes.. Our partner... Madara Uchiha" zetsu says, light in tone.
"Impossible.. Madara is Long dead.. Even if he survived the Shodami Hokage.. Time would've taken him.. It must be someone using his name perhaps" mitsuomi says, shaking his head at the foolishness of zetsu.
"Madara is Alive!.. He is No Impostor" zetsu says, darker in tone.
"Come see for yourself.. Judge with your own eyes" zetsu says. Mitsuomi slowly closes the gap between them with wariness in his posture, "Where is Madara" he says, extending his left hand.
"Underground" zetsu says but screams, once mitsuomi's hand makes contact. It tries to break contact but feels as if thousands of flies were moving from the light side, "I-Impossible.. You have Her mark" zetsu says, from its darker side.
"Yes.. I have Beelzebub Otsutsuki's Kāma mark and I know much about your Mother" mitsuomi says but his voice shifts to feminine giggling.
"Kaguya's plan of Reviving herself through the Jubi and not a Vessel will Fail.. Just as I was Nothing to our Destroyed clan.. She will become Nothing and You.. Her Will.. Will become my Will or shall I say Wills" beel says, as zetsu pulls apart and changes into two naked women. One has silvery-white hair that is wavy and unruly, with several notable cowlicks of hair dispersed in no particular pattern and the other has white hair too but in a messy bob.
"What have you done" mitsuomi says.
"I have overrode Zetsu's will with my Will.. Meet Modeus and Malina.. Just as Kaguya created Zetsu.. I have created my own" beel says and giggles, "Besides Dear.. They can help you with your Burgeoning Carnal Desires" she adds and mitsuomi scowls. Malina and modeus start to move as they kneel to one knee despite their nudity, "We live to serve you Mother" both say, their red eyes unblinking.
"They retain Zetsu's memories and skills.. They'll take you to this Madara" beel says.
"Take me to Madara" mitsuomi says and he watches as both women seem to absorb each other, fusing into one and retaking the form of zetsu.

A ghost of a bygone era opens his old eyes to the ghost of a new era, "You have brought him" madara says, his voice scratchy and hoarse to sound barely above a whisper. Mitsuomi stares at madara or his impostor with various scenarios running in his head, "Zetsu says You wish to align with me.. Why" mitsuomi says.
"I have heard much about you from Zetsu.. I believe you and I are similar... Konoha betrayed you as I was.. You despise Corruption and root it out where you can... You despise those who use Power to Bully the weak... That is why you Kill corrupt politicians and leaders in Civlian towns" madara says, stopping frequently with hacking coughs.
"He is on the verge of Death" beel says.
"And your point" mitsuomi says.
"I wish to create a Perfect World" madara says, lifting his frail and bone thin arms. This prompts madara to begin an explanation into the power of the Sharingan and eventually the Rinnegan, an ocular jutsu stemmed in conspiracy theories or conjecture but seeing those eyes in kushina said otherwise.
"The Eye of the Moon Plan would cast a Genjutsu down on Everyone.. Giving them a World of their making and allowing them to live in a perfect world.. A much better world than this cruel one" madara says but a harsh and cruel laugh escapes mitsuomi.
"Why live in a Fake world.. There would be No point in living then" mitsuomi says.
"That's the beauty... No one would know... No one ever wakes up... That is their reality and it is perfect until you die" madara says, coughing several times.
"Why do you believe I would wish for something like that.. I'm content with my life" mitsuomi says.
"You have a purpose but you are One.. You can not be everywhere.. So long as this reality exists.. You will Never know peace but in the Dream world you will.. A Family.. Friends.. Lovers.. All will be given in the Eye of the Moon plan" madara says and continues to preach about building a perfect world.
"Join me Mitsuomi Kiriyu.. You can see I can longer sustain myself with the cells of Hashirama.. Become my Successor and carry out my plan" madara says.
"Why not have one of your Uchiha brethern carry out your plan.. Why choose someone like me" mitsuomi says.
"Despite what others say.. You have a Will that overcomes all in your path.. Wielding the Sharingan will come to you in time.. You even have an army ready and waiting in Akatsuki.. Even the girl who wields the Rinnegan will bend to your will" madara says. Mitsuomi reaches into his pocket and pulls out a coin having a melted side, "I will leave it to chance.. Because I've learned that in this Cruel world.. The Only Morality is Chance.. It is Unbiased.. Unprejudiced.. Fair" he says.
"Then flip your coin and let Chance judge my cause" madara says. Mitsuomi flips his coin into the air but it whizzes towards madara and destroys his chest center mass to kill the ghost of the uchiha.
"Was that speech even real" modeus says, seperating from malina.
"No.. It was from a play" mitsuomi says.
"Can we eat his remains" malina says. Mitsuomi searches this carvern as malina and modeus devour madara's remains with each taking a Sharingan, "Gaining the Nine Biju would be a bolster of power but it would lead to Kaguya's revival right" he says.
"Yes.. Her remains are a husk known as the Gedo Mazo.. The Girl can Summon it with her Rinnegan" beel says.
"What now" malina says, wiping some blood from her mouth and her left eye a Sharingan.
"You and Modeus gather everything of value.. I will leave a clone to give you information on locations for drops.. I'll be in Ame.. Find me there in two weeks" mitsuomi says and creates a clone as malina nods, before using his powers to reach the surface among a massive bone graveyard.

Ne operative Cherry Blossom moves along the various bridges leading to her leader's office, her pink hair in a bun and her face hidden a blank porcelain mask having three cherry blossoms on it. Her thoughts often drift to her senior named Komodo or mitsuomi and it hurt her heart to hear of his death from danzo. However several months later got to see her senior alive in their hidden cove and became his spy. CB reaches danzo's office and knocks in a specific pattern to reveal who she is to him and not someone else.
"Enter" danzo says. CB slowly enters and kneels with her head down as danzo's lone eye looks her over, "Have you completed your tasks" he says.
"Yes Lord Danzo.. I have begun adding the enhanced strength to my skillet" CB says.
"Good.. You will be joining Minato Namikaze's team to replace one of their members.. You are to watch Minato and ingratiate yourself to her.. Learn her secrets" danzo says.
"Is she a threat Lord Danzo" CB says.
"She is on Hiruzen's short list to become Yondaime.. She must be made to heel and I hold the leash" danzo says.
"Yes Lord Danzo" CB says and danzo dismisses her. The next day CB or her true name Sakura Haruno poses as one of the graduates of the academy, her cover of being trained in the capital and allowed to join. She is waiting on the roof and a yellow flash erupts behind her as sakura looks to see the famed yellow flash, her blue eyes warm and her blonde hair like the sun.
"Sakura Haruno" minato says and sakura nods, "Welcome to Team-7.. You'll be replacing Kakashi Hatake who has joined Anbu" she adds.
"Thank you for taking me" sakura says. Minato grasps the pinkette's shoulder and they vanish to appear in one of the training grounds where her chunin Obito Uchiha and Rin Nohara were waiting, "She's replacing Kakashi" obito says, adjusting his goggles.
"Obito and Rin have reached Chunin rank but don't let that bring you down as a Genin" minato says.
"I'm here to learn Sensei" sakura says, making sure to do a proper smile like her senior told her.
"Is she your new teammate" a voice says and sakura sees a man with blood red hair and violet eyes, before he kisses minato on the cheek.
"Why are you here Nagato" obito says, huffing. Nagato ruffles obito's hair with a smile, "I can't come see my girlfriend" nagato says.
"So she dating the Jinchuriki" sakura thought and would learn much from minato but would feed information to her senior also deflecting info to danzo. However six months later sakura would see tradgedy as on mission to sabotage kumo supply lines, her team without minato would encounter Ginko a descendant the famed Ginkaku and Kinkaku, who helped kill the nidaime. Ginko fought like some mad dog for kumo, toying with them but that arrogance cost her as Obito's Sharingan, sakura's enhanced strength and rin's ninjutsu were able kill her. However major losses would happen as sakura loses her right eye but would gain a new one from obito before succumbing to his wounds given by ginko and rin no longer able to remain as an active kunoichi due to an extremely taxing jutsu destroying her coils.
"You now possess a Sharingan" danzo says, his lone eye on CB.
"Yes and Namikaze placed a seal that keeps it from be such a Chakra drain" CB says, kneeling before him.
"Be weary of the Uchiha.. You are to remain close to Namikaze.. Continue your role" danzo says and CB nods, excusing herself and heads to her ground floor apartment near the market. She looks in her mirror and obito's eye staring back with a dark scar, "You shouldn't have died that way" sakura says.
"Hi Sakura" a voice says and sakura enters her living room as modeus is coming from her floor or melded to her floor.
"Something wrong" sakura says, concerned mitsuomi was hurt. Modeus is wearing a red sweater with a black coat, matching shorts and red tights along with black boots.
"Mitsuomi is fine.. He wants to meet in your usual spot.. I'll stand in for you" modues says and sakura nods, as a copy of modeus slips from her. The clone grasps sakura's arm and modeus turns into her as they vanish into things, passing through the ground towards a secret cove. They soon arrive at their secret cove north of konoha, not so much near water but manmade by doton courtesy of mitsuomi.
"Mitsuomi" sakura says, seeing her senior waiting with mask and cloak gone. Being fifteen and still growing he would be considered handsome having high cheekbones, a straight slender nose and messy black hair.
"You look well.. Save for your face" mitsuomi says.
"Yes.. It was a hastily done surgery" sakrua says, touching the ugly scar on her face.
"Danzo must be pleased" mitsuomi says.
"He does not show it but tasked me to remain close to Namikaze Minato" sakura says.
"The Yellow Flash.. She is very skilled and can become Hokage.. If not for those in power" mitsuomi says and the thirteen-year-old pinkette furrows her brow.
"I know Danzo.. Homura and Koharu are corrupt but the Sandaime as well" sakura says. Mitsuomi closes the distance between them and places a hand on her head to look over new eye, "They were comrade in arms.. He will turn a Blind eye to their actions.. His care for those close to him allow them to take advantage of him" he says.
"I see" sakura says, as mitsuomi grabs his cloak.
"Continue your mission for Danzo... However if he you allows a chance to live in the Light.. Take it and forget me" mitsuomi says and sakura's eyes widen.
"No.. I can't do that.. I won't" sakura says.
"Yes you can.. Don't let Danzo do to You what he did to Me.. Once you are no longer useful.. You will die" mitsuomi says.
"I am useful.. I have Perfect Chakra control.. I am recreating Tsunade Senju enhanced strength and I now possess the Sharingan.. I am very useful to him but more so to you.. I am your eyes and ears" sakura says. Mitsuomi places his mask back on and looks to his junior, "Then grow stronger.. Stay close to Minato as well.. She may force Danzo to relinquish you" he says, before breaking down into flies.
"I will return you" modeus' clone says and sakura slowly nods, determined to become powerful.

"We will join forces with you" konan says. It has been two months since yahiko's death and his meeting with sakrua as mitsuomi stands before the leaders of akatsuki in their tower.
"I commend you for choosing it... Now we will grow in power by looking outside" mitsuomi says.
"Outside" kushina says.
"Yes.. Akatsuki has surived on Quantity but we need Quality.. Hanzo will be more paranoid now and your remaining people are not good enough" mitsuomi says.
"Many are civilians with limited training.. Only a few were interested" kushina says.
