It is a truth universally acknowledged that Vulcans are in complete control of their emotions. I will now relate to you a series of anecdotes which suggest this theory to be, to use a human colloquialism, utter bullshit. When Elizabeth is 15, a compromise by her mother sees her married to a wealthy man 3 times her age. Neither party is happy about the union. Lizzy is banished to an estate in Derbyshire. There, she meets and falls in love with Mr Darcy. Not only is he 23 to her 15, but she is also married. Will Darcy fall for Elizabeth eventually? and should he? Knowing it can lead to nothing?
