A/N: I wrote this a while ago. I hope you like it :)

Beck and Andre were on their way to the locker rooms. After Andre and Robbie had that accident in their ballet class their teacher had finally agreed to let them change classes, so here he was with Beck entering the locker rooms to get ready for salsa dancing. Andre was just telling his best friend about the new song that he had in mind for one of his assignments when he almost ran into Beck, who had suddenly stopped. Looking at him, Andre could see his back tensing up and a moment later he knew why.

"Come on, I'm sure you know Jade West." A male voice could be heard from around the corner.

"You don't mean that scary chick, do you Tyler?"

Now it was obvious who the first voice belonged to, Tyler Roberts. He was known as a player and was probably worse than Ryder Daniels. Beck felt his anger starting to rise just because he mentioned his ex-girlfriend's name. Sure, they had broke up weeks ago, but that didn't mean that he didn't care about her any more, quite the opposite. If Beck was honest to himself, he couldn't forget Jade and the feelings he still had for her. Despite that on the outside he didn't show that he was bothered by the break up, he was. Loving someone for three years didn't go away just like that. Shaking his head, he focused back on the conversation between Tyler and what he assumed was one of his equally stupid friends.

"Yeah, that's her. She might be scary, but you can't deny that she's hot. I mean did you see her in that skirt she wears today? Definitely worth putting up with her for a few days."

"So she's next on your list?"

Andre, who had been listening as well, felt anger rise in him. Jade was a good friend of him and maybe there were still some lingering feelings there. Beck must feel even worse, considering that Andre was quite sure that his best friend was still in love with his ex-girlfriend, if the secret looks he sent her way meant anything. Looking at Beck to confirm his suspicious, Andre was shocked at what he saw. He had known Beck for years now, but he had never seen him so angry. His normal laid-back facade was gone and replaced with an angry expression while he tightly clenched his fists. However Beck's reaction after Tyler's next words was much worse.

"Well she looks like fun, so I will ask her to be my dance partner and we'll see from there. The goal is set, if you know what I mean."

Everything happened so fast that Andre couldn't react. One minute Beck stood just next to him and then he was suddenly lunging at Tyler. However Tyler was twice the size of Beck and more muscular, so Beck landed one hit, probably because he took him by surprise, before Tyler reacted with a powerful punch of his own. While Andre tried to help his best friend, Sinjin who was in the locker rooms as well, ran outside to get their salsa teacher.

"What's going on here?" Despite that their salsa teacher was a small woman, she was known to be very strict, so even the two guys, who were currently fighting, stopped when she entered the room. "Who started this?"

"All of a sudden Beck attacked me for no reason." Tyler smirked smugly at Beck, clearly knowing the reason why Jade's ex-boyfriend had hit him.

"It doesn't seem like something you would do, Beck. Is that true?" Their teacher turned to Beck.

The whole locker room had seen what had happened so there was no point in denying it and Beck wasn't a liar anyway. He turned to their teacher to answer when he saw the small group of girls who had entered the locker room and his eyes immediately landed on Jade. The look in her eyes was unreadable, like it had been so often since their break up and that hurt Beck more than where Tyler had hit him. She wasn't letting him in on her feelings anymore and he was to blame for that. Shaking his head to clear his thought, he finally faced the teacher and nodded.

"Alright, go to the nurse and let her look at your cheek. Then go to Helen to get your dentition. The rest of you get ready for class and be in the gym in five minutes."

As soon as the teacher left with the girls, Tyler smirked at Beck.

"So now that you know what I'm after, tell me if she's any good."

This time Andre was ready to hold Beck back even if he would have loved to join him in beating up Tyler.

"He's not worth it, man."

Beck accepted that for the time being. When Tyler was no longer in the locker room, having passed them with an arrogant smirk, Beck turned to his best friend.

"Be Jade's dance partner. You're one of the few people who she considers her friends, so don't let him get his chance."

Beck's worried look and thinking about that he had attacked Tyler without thought, showed Andre that he was in fact right, Beck was still in love with Jade.

"Don't worry, I got it. Go to the nurse, dude. You look awful."

Later, when Beck entered the Asphalt Cafe, he saw something that made his blood boil again. There standing at the Grub Truck were Jade and Tyler, talking. After what had happened only an hour ago he couldn't believe his eyes. Just when he reached the table, Jade seemed to say goodbye to Tyler and sat down at the same table.

"That looks painful." Tori looked sympathetically at him.

"Why did you punch him? I mean that guy is twice your size. You might have fluffy hair and all that going for you, but fighting isn't your thing." Rex mocked from his position next to Robbie.

However both, along with Cat and Andre, were ignored by Beck who was only focused on Jade who was eating her salad as if nothing had happened.

"Why were you talking to him?" His voice was laced with barely restrained anger.

"I don't know why that's any of your business." Jade replied coldly.

"That guy is a jerk and he's obviously trying to make a move on you. Do you even know what he is saying about you behind your back?"

"You can't be serious." Jade's eyes widened in realization. "You hit him because he said something about me? You're an idiot."

"I'm an idiot because I care?" Beck's voice got louder with every word.

"No, you're an idiot because you think that I don't know what these kind of guys are after. Tyler is clearly a jerk and not everybody is easily fooled by pretty words like Vega." Tori's 'hurtful' was ignored by both sides while Jade continued. "And even if I wanted to go on a date with him, it's none of your business, I'm not your girlfriend anymore."

Jade's last words intensified the pain in Beck's heart. She wasn't his girlfriend. He had messed that up and she obviously didn't love him anymore by the looks of it. Still, he wanted her to know how much she meant to him, how much he cared about her.

"Even though we aren't a couple, I still don't want to see you hurt." His voice was soft now, nothing left of the angry loud tone he had used before.

"That's rich coming from you." She tried to sound harsh but her voice broke at the end. However it was the look that she gave him when he their eyes met, that shattered his heart. It was the first emotion she let him see and the windows to her soul showed him how much he had hurt her. Her next words only made it worse. "You were the one who hurt me the most, Beck. You were able to hurt me so much because I let you so close to me."

"I never meant to hurt you."

"Never meant to?" Her voice got stronger again. "Let's see. You never meant to kiss Tori during her first week at Hollywood Arts, you never meant to announce in front of an audience, full of Northridge girls of all people, that you aren't happy with our relationship. Oh and let's no forget how you slammed the door in my face in front of our friends to break up a three year long relationship and finally a few weeks after we broke up you try to kiss Vega."

At that the remaining four at the table, who had been easily forgotten by the ex-couple, gasped. Tori went very pale at Jade's words and the other three just looked shocked.

"Jade I-"

"Save it, Beck. I don't want to hear it. We're broken up and you can do whatever you want and the same goes for me. Next time you want to beat up a guy for talking bad about me or trying to hurt me, save yourself the trouble because it's none of your business anymore." With that she grasped her salad and left, closely followed by Cat.

Running a hand through his hair, Beck sighed, the most desperate look on his face that anyone had ever seen on him.

"I really screwed up."

When Andre just lay a hand on his shoulder to support him silently, Robbie looked as if he was about to cry and Tori wouldn't look up from her food, Beck knew that his friends basically agreed with him. He had hurt Jade deeply and just like that his heart broke all over again. What was left to say to get the girl, who he loved, back?

The next few days Jade ignored him, even when they all sat together to have lunch. Andre had kept his word and had asked Jade to be his dance partner for their salsa class. Despite that Beck was glad that Tyler didn't even get a chance to be so close to her and that he appreciated what Andre did, he still couldn't bear seeing Jade with anyone else, even if it was his best friend. While he was stuck with a girl, that he didn't even remember the name of, he could clearly see that Andre and Jade got along great. Beck could only watch Jade's smile from afar. It was the first real one he had seen since that day at lunch, and it wasn't even directed at him but at his best friend. Andre's reaction to it made Beck's blood boil. He knew that look from other guys when they saw Jade and he didn't like it one bit.

When him and Jade had been a couple he hadn't been really bothered by other guys finding her attractive and checking her out, but now that she wasn't his girlfriend anymore and he couldn't be sure that she only loved him, jealousy slowly poisoned him. Every guy who looked a little too long at Jade, every guy who talked to her for a second more than he had to, felt like one of Jade's beloved scissors was stabbed right into his heart.

Ever since he hadn't opened that fateful door, he had tried to move on, but he couldn't. Jade was the one he loved with all his heart and there was no moving on from her and his love for her. He had done a lot of things wrong, he knew that now, but he had to try everything he could to get her back.

After school he saw that she was just about to enter her car. Since their break up she had refused to drive with him, despite that she hated to drive in the daylight.

"Jade, can we talk?"

"I'm pretty sure that we have said all there was to say." She didn't even look at him.

"Please just give me a few minutes." He looked pleadingly at her.

"Fine, but after that I'm going back to ignoring you. I'm coming over tonight, so you better have coffee ready by seven."

This was his chance and he wasn't going to ruin it this time. He paced nervously around his RV, a coffee already sitting on his small table. A few seconds after seven o'clock it knocked on his door, which was another reminder that things had changed between them. When they had been a couple she had just opened the door with her foot because his RV had basically been her home as well, now she felt the need to knock. Running a hand through his hair and taking a deep breath he opened the door and gestured for her to come in. Without hesitation she sat down on the couch and took the coffee that he had placed on the table for her. With a raised eyebrow she looked at him, clearly telling him that he should start talking.

Seeing her back in his RV, drinking coffee out of the cup that had always been hers when she had stayed over, his heart skipped a beat. It had been too long that he had seen this picture in front of him. Here in his RV, which had always been like their own haven from everything, he wanted to make things right with her.

"I know that I screwed up. Badly. I should have never said what I did during Sinjin's game show and never let you walk out that door, but I did and it was wrong." He nervously ran a hand through his hair. "I tried to move on, but I couldn't. Every time I come home I wish you were here with me. My RV is so empty without you, my whole life is empty without you. I love you, Jade West. So much."

"If that had been an audition you would have failed."

"I'm good at acting, but I'm not good at speaking from my heart to the girl who I hurt and still love."

"You know that pretty words won't get you anywhere with me."

"Believe me I know, after all I asked you out a hundreds times before you finally agreed to go on a date with me." When Beck saw her smile slightly at the fond memories of the beginning of their relationship, his hope rose that she might give him a second chance. Gently he took her hands in his and locked eyes with her. "I know that you can't forgive me just like that, but please consider giving us a chance. I love you, I never stopped and I don't think that's ever going to change."

"You're right, everything that has happened isn't easily forgiven." Beck's face fell at that, this didn't sound good. "But if you're willing to apologize a hundreds times I might go on a date with you and see where it goes."

Beck's eyes lighted up and his heart felt complete for the first time since their break up.

"I promise you that you won't regret it."

"You better." She smirked before it vanished into a small smile, the first one since their break up that was directed at him.

Gently he cupped her cheek with his hands looking deeply into her eyes, trying to tell her how much he loved her. Slowly he moved closer, giving her enough time to pull away if she wasn't ready yet, but when she closed her eyes he closed the gap between them. When their lips met his heart beat faster, just like it had the very first time he had kissed her all those years ago. Normally their kisses were passionate, but this one was different, it was hesitant but still full of love. Beck had missed this so much. He had missed her so much. The love he held for this beautiful talented girl would never change and he would show her that he really wanted to be with her again, this time for a lifetime.
