Chapter 87: Birth of Evil (2):
Longhair's POV:
My name is Longhair. My dimwitted associate, Doubledome and I were examining a strange tar pit.
"So, what's so weird about it," asks Doubledome.
"For starters, where did it come from," I asked.
"Oh yeah, that is weird," says Doubledome.
"Also, whenever something dies in it, those strange trees come out of nowhere," I said.
"Should've lead with that," says Doubledome.
"The Neanderthals would be dumb enough to fall in," I said.
"That's right," says Doubledome, "we should keep them safe!"
"Should we really," I asked.
"Hey, they may be smelly, dimwitted, and they protest against the idea of bathing, but they are still people like us!"
"I suppose you are right, they're just less evolved."
"Yep, as it says in this book, us, the Neanderthals, whatever that is, and the monkey. Let's go!"
We then ran off.
Dazrin's POV:
When the humans left, Hsi Wu and I took a look at the tar pit. I put my hand in, and it nearly takes me. I then released myself.
"Did it try to eat you," asks Hsi Wu.
"I... I think it did," I said, "let's go." We then left.
Longhair's POV:
Doubledome and I then saw the neanderthals.
Singer/Chorus: I'm a neanderthal man
You're a neanderthal girl
Let's make neanderthal love
In this neanderthal world
I'm a neanderthal man
You're a neanderthal girl
Let's make neanderthal love
In this neanderthal world
I'm a neanderthal man
You're a neanderthal girl
Let's make neanderthal love
In this neanderthal world
I'm a neanderthal man
You're a neanderthal girl
Let's make neanderthal love
In this neanderthal world!
"With any luck," I said, "they don't know about the..."
"POOL PARTY!"
The Neanderthals were on their way to the tar pit.
"That's the Neanderthals for ya," says Doubledome.
"Let's go," I said.
. . .
The Neanderthals were on their way to the tar pit, but Doubledome and I got in the way.
"Stop, you simpletons," I said, "it's dangerous! You get in there and you could die!" None of them understand. "And dying's bad?" They still don't get it. "Doubledome, get the pictures."
"I'm on it," says Doubledome.
. . .
It took a while, but we finally got them to understand.
"So... pool... bad?"
"Yes," I said, "I do hope someone invents an educational system."
"Pool bad... pool bad... DESTROY POOL!"
"DESTROY POOL!"
The Neanderthals then run to the tar pit. We then ran after them.
. . .
We then saw a lack of neanderthals... but more trees.
"Good thing that wasn't the entire human race," says Doubledome.
"But there are others," says Longhair, "Doubledome, we must act as guardians and keep others from dying in... in this... this... thing!"
"But what could happen after our time," asks Doubledome.
"I don't know, but there is no one, I'd rather take this responsibility with then you," I said.
"Same here, Buddy."
This was our lives now. I stop and turn around to see a woman with knee-length white hair with crimson markings, wearing strange clothing watching us. "Hey, Buddy, what are you looking at," asks Doubledome as I turn around to look at him but then I turn back to look at her, all that I saw was a White Wolf with Crimson Markings and then it was gone.
LXXXVII
In the next chapter, the tar pit continues into the Ice Age.
