Chapter 89: Birth of Evil (4):
Perseus' POV:
I am the son of Zeus and Danae. I defeated the gorgon, Medusa and saved Andromeda from Cetus. Now, I am in this country in the East because my Father told me of an evil that Odin, Ra, and Rama failed to destroy. I don't know why my Father doesn't just do this himself, but it does not matter. I destroy this thing and then I'll return to Andromeda. This eastern land is different. I then walked.
Dazrin's POV:
I saw this Demigod and figured he could be useful in my attempt to control this unknown source. I just have to manipulate it.
Perseus' POV:
I was walking until I found the evil. It was a pool of darkness. I have the strength of the Gods and I will destroy it!
Chorus: A divisive force
Bestowed with the power of gods
Move us like pawns
Marching us towards the fall
Conquerors of heaven
Tearing down our gates
Like hands of God
Molding our world's fate
Their vipers unleashed
Their conspiracies slither among us
Orchestrating death
The filthiest of work in motion
Masters of perdition
Imprison us in chains
Like hands of God
Choking life and seeding ruin
Pull the strings that oppress
Another day of pain
Like nooses around our necks
We die once again
Taint the air and fill our lungs
Poison the ground and drink it deep
Masses of fire seen for miles
Watch the horizon burn with their greed
All glimmers of hope will fade
Corral us in and watch us fail
Wretched forms of humanity
Consuming all life and light
Like demons racing towards the sun
We'll fall to ashes one by one
Pull the strings that oppress
Another day of pain
Like nooses around our necks
We die once again!
I then held out the lightning bolt my Father landed to me and I attempted to use it, but then someone takes it from me. I looked and saw it was a demon.
"Now, I shall use the power of Zeus to control this thing," she said. I then tried to fight her over the lightning bolt, but the demon overpowered me, but then the lightning bolt shocked her, and she disappeared. I was about to fall in, but then a woman saved me.
. . .
I opened my eyes and saw a white wolf with red markings. I don't know how, but I believe this was the woman who saved me. "Thank you," I said. The wolf then left.
. . .
I was back in Greece. "Father, I have failed you," I said.
"Fear not, my Son," says my Father, "for the Fates told me that it was not your destiny to defeat this evil. One day, it will be defeated."
"Then I will spend time with Andromeda and our child," I said. Whoever is destined to stop this thing, they have the praise of Perseus, Son of Zeus.
