Kai POV: I was standing in the bathroom, looking over all the new scars that I had. It's been a month now and I was mostly healed at this point. I still had to be careful with my hand and shoulder. But everything else was healed and only scars were left behind. But I still stared at my shoulder wound.
I didn't need to bandage it anymore, but cleaning it was still required to avoid infections even though it was mostly just a scar. It kinda hurt as I gently poked at it and sighed. I don't think I will ever move on from all that. I washed my hands quickly, carefully threw on a shirt, and left the bathroom.
Just in time to see Yuko, in fresh clothes and a bag over her shoulders, heading for the door. She was also healed up quite a bit and could move again without it being too oblivious. But she still had some ways to go and now she was trying to make her escape.
"Yuko, really?" I asked, as she looked away.
"I need to go, Kai. You know that." she said, rubbing her wrist.
"No, you don't. At least not yet." I know that she wanted to leave, but after everything I wasn't going to let her run while in this condition.
She looked at me and said, "I'm just going to find a place. I'm not looking for any fights."
"Good, but stay here. You still need to heal." I responded, putting myself between her and the door just in case. I know for a fact how fast she really is.
She just glared at me until she finally sighed. She walked back to her bed and flopped down, flinching a little.
"Do you have to pout?" I asked, crossing my arms.
"I'm not pouting. I just didn't plan my landing very well." she argued, but sounded a little weak.
But I let it drop and sat down to put on some shoes, which she noticed and asked, "Now where are you going?"
"...I'm gonna try and watch training." I said, suddenly really nervous.
They have been offering since my legs have recovered, but I've been putting it off. I'm still not used to having people around and I don't know how this will go. But I need to try and push myself.
Yuko must have noticed this and stood back up to say, "Mind if I come?"
"Sure." I tried to not make that sound so eager.
She just ignored that and we left. The halls were empty since this wasn't a real hospital and we headed to the training room. Cole and Zane were sparring when we walked in and Nya was giving some pointers to Lloyd with Jay.
Jay noticed us first and said, "Hey, dude."
Everyone looked at us and Nya walked over in support and said, "It's really good to see you here."
I just smiled at her. She turned to Yuko and said, "And I see you brought a friend."
Yuko nodded to her and remained silent to her. And that reminds me of how we first met and she barely talked. We both sat down on the benches to watch them and they all looked really happy.
"I'm glad we have judges that won't rig the bet." Cole said, earning a dramatic look from Jay.
"I would never rig our bets." he responded, but Cole ignored him.
They prepared themselves and went at it, with Zane and Nya throwing out some pointers here and there. Lloyd joined us on the bench next to me.
"Jay bet that he could get him since he was faster, and Cole wanted to prove that wouldn't happen." he explained, and I chuckled.
"That sounds like Jay." I said, and Lloyd laughed quietly. Yuko just looked confused and shook her head.
I guess things were slowly going back to normal.

? POV: The portal to Ninjago was finally successful, despite the large amount of men we had to sacrifice. The light from their sun is quite… blinding at first. However, I can understand why those two wanted to return here.
My last general came up to me and said, "Only five percent of our forces remain, my lord."
"Less than I thought, but it won't matter in the long run. Once we get what we came for." he nodded and walked back to the troops.
Now the hard part is over. All that's left is to gather our quarry.
