Air, Water, Earth, Fire.
"So I get why we are ditching the ship, but why did you send them back to the Fire Nation?" Tomoko asked.
"It's for their safety. Can't have them just sitting at a random port waiting for us. It's a vulnerability I can't risk. It's easier if we just went for it alone." I replied.
"You're cutting our one and only life line."
"I know, however, the plan is to go incognito. So first things first, we need to drop the Air Nomad attire."
"Say no more. I am sick of wearing orange all the time. I want to try black, plus, wouldn't you agree that this thing looks stupid?"
"I wouldn't say that however, maybe if it was brown it wouldn't look so bad."
"You're joking?"
"Not at all."
She lightly punches my shoulder. "At least I know I don't have to do much to please you."
We both laughed before continuing on our way to find some clothes to 'barrow'. I grabbed a white shirt and green pants. I looked over to see that Tomoko went for a dark green form fitting dress. It looked stunning on her.
"Would have figured you would have went for something a bit more loose fitting." I said.
"Trust me, I will have no problem bending in this, I figured it fit my personality better, plus I thought my Fire Lord would prefer the woman in his life to dress pretty for him?" She replied while cupping my chin.
"That's not what I meant."
"I know. And of course you like it, I can see it in your eyes."
I start to wonder what I gotten myself into with her. "Let's quickly get going."
"Agreed."
So we head North along the coast, eventually we arrive at a small village. Place seems pretty dead even for a village. However we do find someone fishing.
"Place is rather dead." I say to the fisherman.
"Yeah well that's what happens when the men of a settlement that hardly tops out at 100 goes out to take part in a Civil War every year. Of course they mostly fight to keep the fighting away from here." The Fisherman replies.
"I mean that's fair, but what are they fighting for?"
"Mostly for a Omashu Free State. While the other Warlords are trying to establish themselves as the true ruler of the entire country, whatever that means anymore. The King of Omashu wants to establish an independent Kingdom in the south. I don't really care either way but the people who support it have a point. What do we Southerners have in common with Ba Sing Se? Or Republic City, if you still consider that Earth Kingdom, Empire, Federation, whatever."
"You guys need any help around here in exchange for a bed for the night?"
"I do actually, I fished a lot more than I normally do today and I need help getting my produce back to my shop so I can carve it up and preserve it. Do that and you two can sleep in my extra bed."
"You got a deal."
