Paw Patrol X
Land and Sea arc Episode Twelve: Call To Avenge Your Family
Right where the previous chapter left off, Miranda was standing before F.M. and Coral with her trident; and despite her dilemma, F.M.'s instincts had her step in front of Coral. Miranda groaned at the sight of F.M. protecting her former right hand. "Give it up Flare. Everyone knows you don't like that disappointment anymore."
F.M. ignored Miranda due to how much her anger was rising, and Miranda got started on spawning the scorpions after slamming her trident on the ground. When the scorpions started rising, Coral froze in fear again. F.M. noticed this, seeing that just looking at scorpions brought Coral into a daze. "Were scorpions involved in what happened at Starfish Cove?" Coral nodded her head yes, and while the scorpions weren't high past the fifty ratio now, it was enough to tell F.M. what she had to do. Although, that could be her anger talking. "You and me. One on one. Now."
Coral was stunned when F.M. said that, and he then called his truck over with Miranda sending the scorpions after them. F.M. picked Coral up, knowing her extra vulnerability in this situation would make her Miranda's first target. She rushed over to her truck with Coral objecting to this idea. "I can't let you do this alone F.M.! Miranda's too strong for you to fight alone!"
"And I don't care, because she killed my parents, and I have to make things right by them, so get out of here!" F.M. demanded as she made Coral strap in, and then put her truck on auto drive when showing that despite her anger towards Coral, she was still looking out for her. "You'll just get hurt!"
F.M. backflipped out of the truck and drove off, leaving Coral stunned as she watched F.M. charge at Miranda on her own. F.M. took out a knife Charm crafted for her and dodged the scorpion pillar she shot at her. After doing so, she ran at Miranda at max speed and attempted to slash at her. However, she dodged her knife slash, which led to her front flipping over her shoulder and aiming a spin kick at her. She dodged this kick, along with the downward kick F.M. aimed at her. She aimed a swift punch at F.M., who was sent back by the brutal blow.
F.M. regained her balance after falling on the ground, landing right in front of a tree as more scorpions came for her. She backflipped and jumped off of the tree to evade the scorpions, which shot up towards her before F.M. landed. She charged at Miranda again and aimed a sliding slash at her knee, only for her to jump up just in time. F.M. planned ahead for this and rolled backward before jumping up and charging at Miranda. She attempted to stab her, but Miranda grabbed her knife.
F.M. was about to punch Miranda, only for the latter to knee her before throwing her towards the ground. F.M. fell to the ground and tumbled for a bit, but she managed to get back up, despite Miranda's scorpions surrounding her. It was then that Miranda spawned her trident before acknowledging that F.M. had a lot of skill under her belt. "For a transvestite, you have quite a bit of talent Flare." F.M. growled in response to hearing her dead name again, which Miranda ignored when showing contempt. "Such a pity you aren't using it for a good cause."
The rest of the Paw Patrol, along with their friends, were now at the beach, where they heard F.M.'s truck skid to a stop with Coral still in it. When Marshall and Margareth saw this, they immediately rushed over, and Marshall started seething with anger over one possibility. Coral jumped out and tried to explain with little success. "Guys! It's-"
Marshall punched Coral across the face with anger seething through his veins. Coral managed to recover quickly, since it wasn't max strength, but she was still frightened when Marshall pinned her to F.M.'s truck. His distrust in Coral led to him fearing that Coral found another way to hurt F.M.. "Where's F.M.!?"
"Marshall, calm down!" Chase ordered, putting a paw on Marshall's shoulder as he informed him of how angry he was getting. "I totally get your anger, but Coral can't tell us anything if she's too scared."
Marshall saw Chase's point and released his grip on Coral, who became less scared as a result. Marshall then apologized for instantly going in with full anger. "I'm sorry. I just... I want to make sure F.M.'s safe. I can't lose two family members in the same month."
Coral understood that, standing up and telling them where F.M. was. "It's Eveline. Or, Miranda; that'll take some getting used to. She found the shack we were at and F.M. sent me off in her truck alone."
Marshall gained a look of realization that everyone else saw and picked up on as Marshall vaguely commented on F.M.'s biggest flaw. "Darn it F.M.. You couldn't call us while you were doing that?"
Margareth still wasn't convinced, despite knowing very well how often F.M. put others over her own safety. "I don't buy it Coral. I know Miranda ditched you, but what are the odds she knows where the shack even is?"
"Yeah. I only texted it to F.M.. She couldn't have just leawned where-" Zuma thought of something during his explanation that made sense to him. "Unless... she has a twacker on Cowal-"
"And she used that to find where F.M. was!" Rocky finished, rushing over to Coral to see if she could remember anything. "Coral. Did Miranda track you in any way during the time she took you in?"
Coral gained a look of realization after hearing this, opening up her mouth and pulling one out from inside her teeth. She showed it to the others when she explained what it was, and everyone, especially Marshall, became horrified when he saw it. "This tasteless one was in my mouth for so long that I forgot it was even there. She said it was in case I-"
"Cut the backstory Coral! There's no time!" Marshall stated, and Coral nodded in response due to knowing the times were dire. Marshall looked to Zuma, knowing he'd need his help on finding this shack. "Give me the directions Zuma! I'm going in!"
F.M. and Miranda were still fighting with F.M. making backward dodges against five trident stabs from Miranda. She leaned back for the last one, attempting to backflip kick the trident into the air. She succeeded, however, Miranda summoned it back by simply raising her paw. F.M. took notice of this and made a goal to make Miranda's right paw useless. After making that deduction, Miranda raised her left paw and sent more scorpions after F.M.. She rolled out of the way of the first one, and ran off to evade the ones that rose up right beside that pillar.
As much as F.M.'s anger overshadowed everything else right now, she wasn't unable to strategize for this battle. She started running up the shack, jumping off to grab the roof after another scorpion pillar rose below her. She then kicked a pillar on the porch and broke it, grabbing it with her hind paws and jumping up to throw it into her front paws. Miranda saw this and sent a scorpion formation to charge right at F.M., which it did. However, F.M. managed to dodge it before preparing the pillar.
F.M. threw the pillar to the left at max power, causing Miranda to dodge to the right, which F.M. planned for when making her move on the roof. Miranda found herself surprised by this movement. 'He used a broken down building to attack me!?' However, her conclusion was only half true, as F.M. had jumped off the roof with a perfect angle for striking Miranda. As soon as Miranda noticed, F.M. landed a solid right hook, punching her in the face as hard as she could. This sent Miranda back, and she flew right into the road, where she rolled before getting right back up.
F.M. landed on the ground with pure determination in her eyes, and Miranda was left impressed by her move there. "That was quite the tactic Flare."
"Shut up and keep fighting so I can kill you!" F.M. demanded, charging at F.M. as she declared her current alias. "And my name is F.M.!"
Miranda sent a scorpion pillar up, and while F.M. dodged it, she ended up being grabbed by Miranda as soon as she jumped in for a kick. Miranda held her by the neck, holding her just lightly enough to let her breathe. She had some final words for her that she wanted to share. "You really don't understand Flare. My loathe for change comes from a desire to make a perfect world." F.M. scoffed as Miranda continued preaching her false garbage to her. "A perfect world where my Mer-Pups can stay content with themselves, and avoid unfair tragedies... forever."
F.M. rolled her eyes in response to Miranda's hypocrisy as soon as she started calling her out on it. "You are such a hypocrite. You whine about change as if it's a disease or something, but you changed everything about yourself, even becoming a bigoted, hate fueled monarch to kill a family who didn't deserve it." F.M.'s next quote showed that he lost any sympathy for Miranda by this point. "I'm sorry you lost your husband in such a horrific way, but that will never justify you killing my parents."
Miranda sighed, truly feeling that F.M. was missing the point of what she was trying to say. However, in F.M.'s eyes, she was sad, pathetic, and a danger to everyone. "And if you really hate change so much, then why did you make an exception with Coral!? You convinced her to life the rest of her life! At least if what she tried to ask you said what I think it was!" Miranda looked at F.M. with contempt, showing no care for what she was saying. "Coral broke my trust, but at least she knows what she did was wrong! You're so crazy that you can't see the pain you're causing!"
Miranda started choking F.M., making her gasp for her life as Miranda looked into her eyes with pure apathy. The words she spoke were said in a chilling tone of voice. "You're far too nice Flare. It's simply disgusting how far you'll go to reform everyone. Change, and forgiveness, only slowed you down." Just then, Miranda looked to the right to find Chase driving over at max speed with Charm and Marshall in his car. This annoyed her more than anything. "Oh bother. I was hoping to kill you all one by one."
Back at the beach, Coral was contemplating everything she'd done while looking out to the sea and questioning if her positive traits were real. She thought she was a good Canine, but the events she'd faced lately brought that into question. As she was doing this, Skye and Snow came over to her, the former sitting down next to her on the right, and the latter sitting on her left. Coral expressed her fear to Skye, knowing she would understand. "I spent seven years being oblivious to how much pain we were causing. I let her get away with so much."
"And now that you know the truth, you can focus on yourself and work towards making things right." Skye encouraged, knowing that Coral wanted to regain everyone's trust. "F.M. told me that you started acting as her insider informant on the way back. You still have a lot of work to do, but if you ask me, that's a good start."
"I guess. It didn't last long though." Coral admitted, having struggled to get a lot of information that F.M. could've used. "I wish I never gave Charm that recipe. I just... I couldn't..." Coral didn't know how to explain herself, worrying it would just be her making excuses when she wasn't trying to. She was so indecisive now that she was losing her mind over how hard it was to explain why Eveline, or... Miranda, used to mean so much to her. Skye was quick to take her paw to calm her down. "Who am I kidding? You guys have every reason not to believe me."
Snow sensed that now would be a good moment to help Coral open up. And doing so included something that was on her mind for some time now. "You're not alone Coral." Coral looked at Snow, who surprised her when she revealed hers and Everest's own family history. "Everest and I had horrible parents. Our father always beat us, and our mother never held up on it when she said she would protect us from him. It got worse when we discovered I have a deadly allergy to peaches."
Coral felt horrible for Snow after hearing about that. She couldn't imagine what it was like to go through something like that. "I'm so sorry Snow. I can't imagine what it's like to have parents like that."
"I don't ever expect someone to. And even when we do notice it, we're only kids. How much can we do?" Snow pointed out, and then she assured Coral that talking about why she was so loyal to Miranda wouldn't classify as making excuses. "It's okay to talk about stuff like this when you have to. And you shouldn't ever think that it's not. You just have to know when to pick your moments."
Coral understood what Snow was trying to tell her. After mustering the courage, she looked out the ocean and began speaking about her former loyalty towards Miranda. It led to her having to revisit the destruction of her old home in the process. "I don't know if Skye told you about what happened to Starfish Cove seven years ago. Long story short, Charm and his father destroyed it, along with an army of scorpions." Snow was almost surprised by that, but had to admit that she had a feeling it was something tragic. "Charm killed my parents during the attack."
Coral shed a tear of sadness, which Snow wiped away to help her focus on telling the story. "I was all alone. Then, Eveline, or... Miranda, found me sitting by myself at the beach. She offered me a chance at a life that would make me happy. Out of impulse, and... stupidity, I accepted it." Coral clenched her fists when mentioning the next part. "She took me to the Mer-Pup Kingdom and told me that all I had to do was listen to her, and I could... atone for what happened in Starfish Cove."
That made Skye, and especially Snow, furious, the latter of whom started shouting as she stood up and stepped away to avoid yelling in Coral's face. "What the heck is wrong with that woman!? Besides the Munroe family revenge thing! You were six back then, right!? You had no control over what happened then! The stuff you DO have to atone for is using Skye, what happened to Wave, and letting Miranda warp the Mer-Pups for as long as she did! And that last one only worked because it started when you were six and didn't know anything about this stuff!"
"I appreciate that Snow, but I don't think it's that simple." Coral admitted.
"What do you mean?" Snow asked, walking back over to Coral while being confused about her statement.
Coral answered Snow's question as she was sitting down. "I thought I was a good Canine soon after Miranda started raising me. After she took me in and taught me to suppress every emotion that would hold me back... I felt like I was doing right by her, and being the Canine I wanted to be." Skye and Snow were shocked by what Coral just said there. Eveline really had warped her entire perspective on life. "I felt so indebted to her, that I prioritized satisfying her over everything. Until Wave died. I can hardly tell what right and wrong are anymore."
"Then, we'll help you get consistent morals." Skye assured Coral, who looked at her as she assured her that she was there for her. "It's going to take a lot of work, but we think you can change. And don't forget that you helped F.M. with her seminar of your own volition. That doesn't sound like something Miranda would want." Coral saw Skye's point there, even recalling it as the same one F.M. used. "My theory is that you started seeing her true colors in full when she started mistreating F.M.."
"I... guess that makes sense. It was my first time seeing Miranda hurt someone other than... me." Coral started tearing up, and Skye wiped her tears for her to show that the support was genuine. Snow placed a paw on her shoulder, and Coral showed gratitude for both of them. "Thank you." Coral didn't know how to react. She didn't feel deserving of this level of kindness. Not after Wave's death. But Skye and Snow seemed to want to help her. So maybe, just maybe, there was a chance she could earn back everyone's trust, and maybe be their friends again.
Just then, Claw's voice was heard from behind as the Doberman's paw was handing Coral a flower. "Maybe this could help?" Coral turned around and looked at the daisy, along with a smiling Claw, who also wanted to help her. "One of the flower's meanings is, I think... new beginnings." Coral happily accepted the flower, placing it in her right ear with hope that she wasn't beyond redemption being given to her. She still had her doubts, but at least she knew she wasn't alone. Now she just hoped F.M., Marshall, Chase, and even Charm were okay.
Meanwhile, Marshall, Chase, and Charm were still going at Miranda at max speed, only for her to raise her let index finger while F.M. tried to escape her grasp. This caused a scorpion pillar to lunge at Chase's car, sending it into a tree at full force. The car was tilted on it's side, and Charm quickly noticed the scorpions growing near them from his end. Chase and Marshall did as well, and the scorpions rose up too fast for any of them to react. Chase's quick thinking led to him unbuckling Marshall and throwing him out of the car with his gun. "Marshall; hurry!"
Chase barely threw Marshall out of the car in time, and just before the car was completely covered, a spec of something green on the inside was revealed. Marshall saw what happened to Chase's car and was devastated, but knew he couldn't mourn now. He turned to Miranda, and he became furious when he saw what she was doing to her sister. "MIRANDA!" Miranda was kicked again by the choking Dalmatian, who took her knife out as Marshall made a demand. "PUT HER DOWN, NOW!"
F.M. stabbed Miranda's hand when she was distracted, causing her to drop the Dalmatian, who fell to the ground and started gasping for air. Miranda kicked her over to Marshall, who caught her and became distraught when he saw her body. She even had a choking bruise, which was especially noticeable on the right side of her neck, as that's where Miranda held her from.
F.M. was still alive, but Marshall could tell she was struggling and called for backup, desperate to get F.M. some help. "Ryder! We need backup! F.M. got choked by Miranda and almost ran out of breath and Chase's car got surrounded by scorpions with him and Charm still in it! Get here as fast as you can!"
Marshall hung up, and Miranda started approaching him as she assured him of one more thing regarding her scorpions. "Don't fear Marshall. The scorpions I used on Flare, and your friends, aren't poisonous. I saw use for the non venomous scorpions and made them the attack scorpions you see now. They're merely covering up the entirety of the car."
Marshall was still looking right at F.M., walking her over to the shack as he responded to Miranda. "I'm gonna guess you meant that for all three of us." Marshall set F.M. down on the porch and used a shield device to protect her. "F.M. wouldn't want me to give up. And I'm sure as life not gonna let you hurt her anymore." F.M. did her best to get up, but Marshall assured her of otherwise. "Take it easy F.M.. Big brother's here." F.M. started resting as advised, and Marshall turned to Miranda with a battle cry. "You'll have to get through me first! BRING IT ON MIRANDA!"
Miranda was in no doubt ready to fight against Marshall, which was a battle that begun as soon as he dashed at her, knowing she wouldn't let them escape. Marshall did his best to dodge the pillars of scorpions being sent to attack him. He jumped up at Miranda and attempted to strike her, only for Miranda to punch him back with a brutal right hook. He managed to regain his balance, and but got sent up by the first pillar that rose up. It sent him up to the roof, which he ran on to keep moving.
Marshall slid down the wall to the house and made his way towards Miranda while barking for his water cannon. "Water cannon!" The water cannon popped up and barked again to spray them at Miranda. She spawned the scorpions to block it, and when Marshall jumped at her to land another strike, she smacked him to the side. Thankfully, he managed to block it this time, and he barked again to cause another spray. Miranda blocked this with her scorpions again, and she then charged at Marshall, who dodged the stomp attack before she low sweeped him.
Miranda kicked Marshall to the side, causing him to roll across the ground before jumping back up mid roll. Marshall then dodged the next scorpion pillar, and then he took a gun out and aimed it at Miranda, only for her to use her trident to teleport out of the way. She vanished behind Marshall, who aimed a punch at her before she grabbed his fist. He barked again, causing his water cannons to spray Miranda and blind her. He then landed a front flip kick right on her chin.
Marshall attempted to kick Miranda again, only for her to grab his feet and throw him towards the ground with them. She then sent three pillars at Marshall, who barked and sprayed the pillars with Miranda then teleporting in front of him. F.M. started recording as soon as Miranda stood over Marshall with her trident. When she tried to stab him with it, F.M. called out the moment Miranda dodged. "HEY MIRANDA!" Miranda looked to F.M. as soon as she called to her, and when she saw her recording, she flinched. "Let's see what PupLantis thinks of murder!"
F.M. finished the video and sent it to Coral, just as Miranda teleported over to her and started smashing the shield. As soon as F.M. sent the video to Coral, she glared at Miranda while also taunting her. "At least half of your Kingdom should be questioning what you tried to do just now! Have fun explaining attempted murder to them!"
"You're kidding me, right!? Even if that brat turned against me, my army will always remain loyal!" Miranda shouted, and just as she did, the rest of the Paw Patrol arrived with Miranda noticing after making another trident stab on the shield. "Efficient. I should look into your devices."
F.M. showed Miranda her video, grinning smugly as she saw how many views it was getting so fast. "You sure questioning is out of the question?"
Miranda slammed the handle of her trident onto the ground as she expressed anger and disgust towards the Paw Patrol. "This isn't a victory Flare! I'll be back for a real battle!" Miranda glared at F.M., while getting ready to teleport back to PupLantis. "Even if some do retreat, I can make up for it. You will fall." F.M. got up to her knees as Miranda insulted her one last time before leaving. "I'll love having the pleasure of ending your miserably confused existence myself."
F.M. flipped Miranda off right before she teleported, and Marshall ran over once she did and deactivated the shield protecting her. As soon as Miranda vanished, Chase and Charm were freed from the scorpions with Chase revealed to be farting to keep them off of them...
...RRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUP
Charm wafted the yellow cloud away as soon as he and Chase jumped out of his car with Chase running over as Charm walked. "Fart shield. Can't say I didn't see that coming."
Snow had already run over as well, and she and Marshall helped walked with F.M. as soon as she took her paw. She showed concern like everyone else, but she was horrified when she saw F.M.'s bruise. She held it together the best she could and assured F.M. she would be safe. "You're gonna be okay baby. We'll get you back home, and we'll patch you up best we can."
"I haven't doubted you guys yet." F.M. admitted with a smile, and then she got concerned about pups who weren't members. "Are Rubble, Sweetie, Moby, and Coral okay?"
Snow should've seen that coming, just like everyone else. She couldn't help smiling, despite the example before then being a dangerous one. "That's so you. Even after almost getting strangled to death, you still worry about everyone else."
F.M. hopped into Chase's car after Chase opened the door for her while trying to remind himself that he couldn't control the scorpion attack. "Just make sure to call us next time something like this happens, okay?"
"Yeah. I can do that." F.M. assured Chase, strapping herself in as Marshall showed concern for his younger sister. Rocky whispered something to him after walking over, and Marshall nodded in agreement, feeling that would be a good idea. And after that, everyone else went to their vehicles, with Marshall and Charm riding with Chase, as they all headed back to the Lookout.
Back at the Lookout, F.M. was playing video games with Marshall sitting next to him, and Skye came over with some chips and cheese dip. She set them down on the coffee table before sitting down in the chair. "Mind if I watch you guys? I could use a distraction after Chase and Zuma got called for that mission."
"The more the merrier." F.M. and Marshall answered in sync, and F.M. was extra focused on her game when she did. Charm and Rocky were walking down the hallway, and they saw F.M., Marshall, and Skye in the living room together. When they did, Rocky put a paw on Charm's shoulder, assuring him that everything would be okay. Charm sighed before walking over to the pups with Rocky.
Marshall noticed Charm and Rocky coming over to them and happily greeted the two. "Hey Rocky. Hey Charm. You wanna hang out with us too?"
"You could say that." Rocky patted Charm's back to encourage him to speak up, and Charm braced himself for the outcome.
Charm stepped forward, breathing in through his nose and out from his mouth as he began the conversation. "About Wave's death."
F.M. paused her game after taking down a horde of demons, knowing that this would require her full attention. "Yeah?"
"I should have never crafted that poison, let alone allow her to drink some of it." Charm admitted, and F.M. and Marshall saw where he was going with this. "I acted blindly because I was so desperate to be someone other than my demon blood. I thought I could finally be something other than my artificial sadism. And it's that desire which led to Wave's death happening the way it did." F.M. and Marshall looked at each other before looking back at Charm. "I know this doesn't even begin to make up for how serious the tragedy was, but... I'm sorry."
F.M. took Charm's paw as she and Marshall looked at him with reassuring eyes. "Charm. We never blamed you for what happened."
"You didn't?" Charm asked in surprise, and then he noticed that F.M. and Marshall didn't look at him with resentment.
Skye stepped up and walked over to the four pups, assuring Charm that they were right to avoid blaming him. "You were tricked Charm. It happens to all of us. It happened with Wave, and it happened with you too." After hearing Skye's point, F.M. started to think about her current thoughts on what happened to her parents. Was it really her fault they died?
Charm felt immense warmth from these words with Rocky finishing what Skye had to say with one final point. "And if it weren't you, it would've been someone else; someone who was ill prepared, and would've died alongside Wave."
Charm can't say he expected this, even from the Paw Patrol. Skye said something else that surprised Charm even more. "I thought about what you said, and... I realized how lost and alone you must have felt after you realized what Slash and Trickery were doing to you." Skye smiled when mentioning her next point. "It helped me see that every day, you're getting closer to becoming a truly honest, and caring, if a little crazy, Canine." Charm knew that last bit was about how he acted when he was having fun, particularly in battle. "I want you to know. I forgive you."
Charm became even more surprised when he heard that, and Marshall backed it up with his own stance on it. "I forgive you too." Charm looked at Marshall, who expressed the moment he forgave him. "Today, I saw you being the Canine you want to be. From attending mom's funeral to saving Skye from that soldier, to coming with me and Chase to save F.M., I saw how hard you were trying." Charm smiled when Marshall finished what he wanted to say. "So I'm confident we can be friends now."
Charm felt extremely elevated, but along with Marshall, Skye, and Rocky, he noticed when F.M. started talking. "That's great Charm. You've made even more progress now."
Marshall and the others could tell that F.M. was upset about something. Marshall assured F.M. that she could talk about it. "Is something on your mind F.M.?"
F.M. struggled to speak at first, but then she thought about how this would worry the others. The last thing she wanted was to give them anything negative, whether it be pain, or thoughts. It was hard to talk about, but she managed to open up. "I'm such a hypocrite!" Marshall, Skye, Rocky, and Charm were surprised and confused by that. How could F.M. ever be a hypocrite? "I still can't get over what Coral did to mom. Even though she didn't plan to, or want it, she still helped Miranda kill her."
F.M. looked right at Charm, trying to contain herself when doing so. "I still want to help the team forgive you Charm. But how can I do that, when I can't forgive Coral?"
"F.M., it's okay if you can't forgive her yet." Marshall assured F.M., who looked at her to assure her she wasn't alone. "Margareth and I can't forgive her yet either. And I don't even know if we can."
Rocky had an idea on how to help F.M. in her time of need. Sitting down next to her, he placed a paw on her shoulder with a reminder on how life wasn't so easy. "There's something I think you forgot F.M.. Forgiveness isn't something that's just owed to you. That's something you earn. And Coral still has a lot of work to do. As far as I know, the only three who forgive her entirely right now are Skye, Chase, and Snow."
After being reminded of that, F.M. was reminded of one other detail in earning forgiveness. "Charm earned Skye and Marshall's forgiveness now because he earned it. Heck; it took me years to forgive him for killing our mother!"
Charm was curious about that, putting a paw on Rocky's shoulder to ask about it. "When did it happen for you?"
Rocky smiled, confirming that it was a moment Charm already knew. "The moment you recaptured your ability to feel remorse."
Charm smiled when Rocky said that, glad that him earning it was what led to him earning his brother's forgiveness. Marshall gave F.M. some more advice about how to handle the situation with Coral. "And if you still want to help Coral, you can. Just give yourself some time before you do, okay? You have to look out for yourself too."
F.M. got that, and after touching her choking bruise, she started to see in full what he meant. She always put others before herself, even when her life was at risk. She decided it would be best to take his advice, and her smile showed. Charm had another comment about the bruise, hoping it would fit. "Hey. On top of your Prison City scar, they kinda match now."
F.M. touched her right eye and laughed with Charm after realizing this. "I guess. But bruises aren't permanant like scars."
Charm shrugged in response as Skye took her phone out to give Coral a text. "I'll text Coral and let her know about your decision F.M.. Just let me know when you feel ready to help her."
"Sure thing Skye." Another idea sparked in F.M.'s mind after that, and she got right to doing it before it was too late. "Oh, wait!"
Coral was at Sid and Arrby's ship, and she was currently helping them make dinner with Arrby teaching her how to season fish. "And after the salt and pepper, you just squeeze some lemon on it."
Coral did as instructed, and Sid had a bit of the pain liquid splash close to him, making him laugh when it did. "Whoa lassie! Too much liquid can be a problem."
"Sorry. I'll remember that for next time." Coral assured Sid, and then she set the lemon out as she started wondering if she should've done that. "Maybe you should've done it Arrby. You wouldn't have screwed up like me."
Sid and Arrby were confused about that, but then someone knocked on the door. Coral tried to decide if she should leave the pan or answer the door, so Arrby took over for her. "Don't worry Coral. I got this."
'Thank God.' Coral thought to herself, heading over to the door while being relieved that Arrby made that choice for her. When Coral answered the door, she found Skye standing there, much to her surprise. "Oh, Skye!"
"Hey Coral. Sorry, I can't stay for long." Skye handed Coral a card before heading off. "F.M. wanted me to give you this. Gotta get home for dinner. Love you!"
Skye hugged Coral before heading off, and Coral looked at the card, which read 'I believe in you Coral!'. Coral almost didn't expect that, but it was when she opened the card when she became fully surprised. It had a drawing of her and Skye holding paws, showing them being loving and supportive as they did. Snow obviously drew that. The inside read as followed: 'One act of kindness, shows who you can be. But consistent kindness, shows who you are.'
Coral felt she understood what F.M. meant by that. If she wanted to be a good Canine, she had to show that she can be one. And in order to do that, she couldn't stop trying. At least she hoped that's what it meant. She was still indecisive like crazy after everything that's happened the past month and a half with Miranda, but she felt assured in believing this to be what F.M. was trying to tell her. She know she had a lot of work to do in order to regain everyone's trust. The first step for now, was to make her morals consistent, with the help of those who truly supported her.
Rock music played as Snow started speaking in regards to what was going to happen with specific moments from the next chapter being shown. "Finally, I get to do the preview this season! Working with two hotheads is never an easy task. At least Claw and Charm can stand each other. Maybe if I can help Charm with his emotions, it'll help him get closer to being the pup he wants to be. Oh, so you both want to join. That definitely sounds like an easy task."
Snow finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines surrounded with a white border with F.M. on the right, and Marshall on the left. "Next time, Emotional Control! (Zuma and Rubble were tending to a sick Rocky, who was hesitant to cuddle Zuma due to not wanting to get him sick) I may not be Charm's biggest fan, but I should still help him when I know how to."
