Somewhere in the Oetchi System, one of the Resistance support ships is seen being destroyed by the Supremacy, which began firing its cannons non-stop since the ambush from earlier.
Inside the bridge of the Supremacy, a holographic projection is shown by the officers of the First Order, including a light-skinned red-haired man, named General Armitage Hux observing the view. "That was the last of their support ships." said the blondish-gray haired man named Captain Edrison Peavey. "It's just their main cruiser now."
"And their fuel reserve?" Asked Hux. "By our calculation, critical." Peavey explained about the Raddus.
While the Supremacy is still firing at the Raddus, but the two transport ships made their way into the hangar of the Raddus.
Inside the Raddus, a man in a dark brown jacket named Poe Dameron is seen walking towards the bridge of the ship and spoke. "She in there?" And the blonde Resistance officer named Larma D'Acy tries to reason with him.
"The admiral's banned you from the bridge." She spoke. "Let's not have a scene." Poe said. "No, let's."
The purple-hair woman in a grayish purple dress named Admiral Amilyn Holdo giving the crew of the ship orders about their current situation until Poe called out her name. "Holdo?"
"Captain, you're not allowed in here." said D'Acy, trying to reason with him.
The admiral turns to him. "Flyboy." She rolled her eyes at him. "Cut it, lady. We had a fleet, now we're down to one ship, and you've told us nothing!" Poe started to beg. "Tell us that we have a plan! That there's hope!"
She tries to reason with him. "When I served under Leia, she would say, hope is like the sun. If you only believe in it when you can see it..."
"You'll never make it through the night." He knows something is about to happen. "Yes." She sighed. Poe sighs before noticing the computer depicting the transport ships being fueled. "Are you fueling up the transports?"
Holdo holds her breath before Poe walks to the screen showing the picture of said ships. "You are. All of them?" As the admiral continues to stare at him, unwillingly to answer his question. "We're abandoning ship?" He starts to get upset. "Is that... That's what you? That's what you brought us to?" He reached his breaking point and starts kicking the crates then throws a chair where the monitor is.
"Coward! Those transport ships are unarmed, unshielded." He snaps while the crew members of the bridge witness his speech at the admiral. "We abandon this cruiser, we're done. We don't stand a chance."
He lays a finger on her as he speaks. "No, you are not just a coward, you are a traitor."
"Get this man off my bridge." Upon being fed up with his behavior, she orders the two men to escort Poe out of the bridge of the Raddus, taking him to his quarters in the process.
Meanwhile in the blue tunnel of hyperspace, the Libertine is seen in the blue tunnel of light.
When Poe's voice stated coming out of Finn's comlink "Finn, Holdo's loading the crew in the shuttle. She's going to abandon ship. Where are you?"
"Poe, we're on our back to the fleet. We're so close." He answered. And Jack was excited for action for the first time in years.
"Did you find the Master Codebreaker?" Poe is in his quarters as he questioned.
Finn and Rose hesitate briefly before answering "Well, we found a codebreaker. We can shut the tracker down. Just buy us a little more time. And we spoke to Jacen. He is on way back."
He sighs "All right. Hurry."
After hearing a brief conversation between Resistance members, Jack head back to the place where he meditated. He then sets his lightsaber aside before sitting down on his knees.
*Flashback begins. *
It was nighttime at the Jedi Temple on Ossus, three days after their perspective missions, the Jedi, minus Tai, Voe, and Hennix, who are off world at the time, went straight to bed.
However, Jack and Kara roam around the forest area just miles away from the temple.
"Such a peaceful night to look at the stars! Isn't this a great time to take exercise at night like this?" Jack said in delight.
"Yes! But Master Skywalker would almost be disappointed about what was going to happen next?" Kara said in question about enjoying the beautiful night. "I was wondering if Jacen would plan to come back from Jakku for some time right about now?!"
Jack starting to feel concerned about Jacen. "Well, I miss him to. As do Ben and Master Luke. He said that his uncle shot and killed Greedo, help rescue Leia on board the Death Star, then helped Luke destroy it,
got frozen in carbonite and took out the Death Star's shield generator."
Kara seems indeed in awe about these events from the past. "At least he told stories about his grandfather, Anakin Skywalker, the Chosen One. He was a slave of Watto on Tatooine before winning a pod racing event for his release,
fought alongside the army of Naboo to destroy a droid-control starship, became a Jedi, fought in the Clone Wars, fell under the emperor's influence, and became Darth Vader."
And Jack seemed awestruck about Anakin. "And then he saves his son and threw the emperor into the reactor shaft. Moments later, he became one with the Force." Kara commented. "What an amazing story. At least Anakin never forgave Palpatine for his crimes,
including Order 66 and turning him into a cybernetic monster."
In the distance, lightning fell from the sky and hit something. Jack and Kara felt something terrible has happened. "Something's happening through the Force." Jack felt a great disturbance. "I hear cries as well! Let's head back to the temple!" Kara said before the two run back to the temple for a major crisis.
The lightning strike turns out to be the Jedi Temple of Luke Skywalker, which has been set on fire due to the Jedi Master's nephew turning to the dark side of the Force.
Most importantly, all of the Padawans are dead, including other Jedi Masters in the temple.
Ten minutes later.
Among the ruins of Ben Solo's hut, Luke awakens before sticking out his metal hand and gets out of the rubble before staring at his burning temple in shock over his nephew's dark path. A blue and white astromech named R2-D2 rolls to his side upon witness Luke's masterpiece in ruins, as Luke places his metal hand on R2's domed head for the trauma he is facing similar to what happened on Bespin 25 years ago when Darth Vader is his father. "Artoo! How am I going to explain this to Leia?!" R2 beeps in sudden concern over the Jedi Master just like what happened to Anakin 48 years ago when was ordered by Palpatine to exterminate the Separatists after the events of the Clone Wars.
Luke said with sadness in his face "Why did Snoke have to manipulate my nephew?" a single tear falls on his face. "Oh, Ben! Why?"
R2 beeps in sadness as well. "Oh, Jacen! I missed you so much!" he cried over his son, who was Jakku at the time. "Come on, R2! Let's get out of here!" he stands up before walking to his X-Wing, the Red 5.
And the droid follows him to the ship before beeping in sorrow.
As Red 5 started to lift off before entering space, a few seconds later, Jack and Kara witnessed the burning temple along with their fallen fellow students and masters "Oh, no! What has happened here?" Jack looked at fires and dead bodies on the ground.
"I have a feeling someone has turned to the dark side." Kara said, concerning one of the students turning out to be Ben Solo. "Oh my, Ben has turned to the dark side." Jack was in shock about the revelation. "Why would Ben do this to his uncle and our fellow students and masters." Kara covers her mouth in shock. "History has repeated itself." She reacted to the truth. "The entire academy was supposed to make our master very happy, and now his nephew destroyed."
The duo still observed the flames of the burning temple in case there could be survivors just in case.
*Flashback ends*
Jack wakes up from his meditation before standing up and walked back to the cockpit just as the Libertine comes out of hyperspace underneath the First Order fleet, including the Supremacy attacking most of the Resistance fleet, especially the Raddus.
"Cloaking our approach." DJ presses a few buttons on the console. "We should be off their scopes. Then we slice a slit in their shield." Jack looks at the Mega Star Destroyer in awe. "Blip bloppity bloop..." DJ takes the key that took himself, Finn, Rose, and Jack out of that Canto Bight prison "...and slip right through." He inserts the key into the slot.
The Libertine gets closer to the Supremacy as the radar starts fuzzing to show a bit of the shield glitching as the Radar Officer notices before tapping of the screen until the shield goes back to normal, making the glitch stop in the process and the man goes back to work while the Libertine flies through the gap.
"You know guys! This is where the fun begins right about now!" Jack said with determination. And Finn and Rose turn to him. "Okay, here's the plan! We sneak into the laundry room before we get spotted. Change into First Order clothes and blend right in."
Rose starts to finish "And all we have to do is find the tracker and disable it so the cruiser can get to lightspeed as fast as possible." DJ comments "All r-r-right! L-L-Let's do this!"
Meanwhile on the Raddus, most members of the Resistance are beginning to evacuate the Raddus by transports while Holdo questions Poe about Finn and Rose boarding the Supremacy to deactivate the hyperspace tracker. "So, a stormtrooper and a who now are doing what? And Leia's nephew is going where?" And Poe tells her about them. "They are trying to save us.
This is our best chance for escape. And Jacen is finding his mom on Tatooine." He emphasized. "You have to give Finn and Rose all the time that you can. Until Jacen gets back."
"You have bet the survival of the Resistance on bad odds and put us all at risk. There's no time now." Holdo commented, fed up with what she was hearing about before turning to the transport crew. "We have to get clear of the cruiser." She motions to one of the crew members and walks pass Poe. "Load the transports."
"Right away, admiral." said a Resistance member. "Yeah, I was afraid you'd say that." he sighed before he and his mutineers, including Lieutenant Kaydel Ko Connix and C'ai Threnalli turned around pointing their blaster at Holdo and the rest of the current command. "Vice Admiral Holdo, I am relieving you of your command for the survival of this ship, its crew, and the Resistance."
Holdo retorts coldly "I hope you understand what you're doing."
Poe puts away his blaster pistol. "Yeah. I'm going to the bridge." C'ai grunts as Poe turns to him. "If they move, stun them." He, Connix, and two other pilots go with him to the bridge. Leaving Holdo stern while the other command is starting worry as of lately.
In the Supremacy's laundry room, an iron is seen ironing a jacket while Jack, Rose, Finn, and DJ wearing First Order uniforms running out of the room before Finn grabs and empties a trash can of its contents. BB-8 chirps about the mission as Finn places it over him, using it as a disguise. Momentarily, Jack conceals his lightsaber beneath his jacket.
An automated door opened right in front of them, revealing a room full of First Order technicians being really busy observing a variety of monitors and displays.
Finn took a deep breath, a rush of adrenaline pumping into his system. He looked at his three companions, all of whom looked equally nervous. He noticed DJ's improper posture and Rose's hat is slightly off-center.
But Jack seems fine. He straightened DJ's back and guided the hacker's arms to his sides, then straightened the cap on Rose's head before nodding to both of them and entering the monitoring room.
Finn takes the lead, with Rose, DJ, and Jack are following closely, positioned behind each of his shoulders. BB-8 rolled behind them in his trash bin disguise, imitating the beeps of a First Order droid.
Luckily, Finn tried his best to face ahead and avoid drawing attention but found himself nervously glancing around the room. But Jack almost sensed a familiar presence on board the Supremacy.
Rose is concerned that their cover will be blown if this does not occur. "This isn't working." Finn turns to her. "Calm down. Just keep this up." He glanced to his left and saw an intelligence officer in white coat and black trousers walking parallel to them, never letting the four disguised officers out of his suits.
Jack motions to Finn and Rose. "Come on, let's pick up the pace." The four imposters began to take faster steps, the white-coated officer does the same thing.
The five have finally reached the elevator, which has been empty. They all step inside and turn around, looking out the open doors into the monitoring room. The intelligence officer walked into the middle of the room, right before approaching the elevator.
"Finn!" Rose whispered, nudging the former stormtrooper. "I know." he replied, hitting the elevator's up button frantically. Jack almost took out his lightsaber hilt. BB-8 chirps nervously. Finn continued to mash the controls to the elevator.
Rose shuts her eyes, struggling to keep calm. DJ took off his hat, rubbing his temples with his free hand.
"Stop!" the intel officer ordered, reaching his hand to the group.
At that same moment, the doors closed. The lift slowly began to descend to the lower level. The four of them let out sighs of relief. However, their relief was short lived as the elevator stops and the doors behind them opened. Six stormtroopers enter the lift, standing directly behind the four. They remain silent, hoping to continue their incursion without any series of interaction with the First Order personnel.
One of them standing behind Finn cocked his head curiously, staring at him. Finn noticed this out of the corner of his eye but kept facing ahead.
The trooper continued to stare. With the pressure starting to mount, Finn turned around to address the issue. Jack knows what is completely at stake.
"Is there a problem, soldier?" he asked in a stern tone, doing his best to sound authoritative.
"FN-2187..." the trooper started, "remember me? 926? Induct camp?"
"Oh, my!" Jack facepalms about Finn's history with the stormtroopers.
Finn's hand hovered over the pistol on his hip. "926, please don't do this." he said, slowly drawing the weapon. DJ looked over, watching Finn unholster his blaster. Rose eyes flitted back and forth nervously, unsure of how Finn would handle the situation. DJ slyly reached over to Finn, forcing him to place the pistol back into his holster. Finn complied but kept his hand on the weapon. Jack seemed unsure that he would take out his lightsaber hilt.
926 was the first to break the tense silence. "I'm sorry FN-2187... I know I'm not supposed to initiate contact with officers, but I never took you for captain material."
Finn let out a long breath. His hand left the blaster clipped to his side. The elevator door opened. Finn, Rose, DJ, BB-8, and Jack hurried out, turning a corner.
Rose made sure no one was nearby before speaking up. "We're not going to stay this lucky."
"Agreed!" Finn said with confidence.
"K-keep it cool, man." DJ said. "Don't blow your top."
"I know. I'm sorry" Finn took a breath to compose himself. "Follow me."
Jack feels a sigh of relief. "Well, this is going to be tough than I expected."
The infiltrators entered into a large walkway next to a chasm. A series of black tubes covered the walls on their left, while a series of tall pillars stood inside the chasm on their right.
"...at least three cycles so far." a First Order Officer said. "Yes, sir!" said the second Officer. "We are working on it."
On below, BB-8 imitates a mouse droid right before accidentally hitting a stormtrooper's leg and rolls back to what he was doing. "I will do my best, sir." said the third Officer.
Unbeknownst to them, a black and gray droid called BB-9E chirping inquisitively observing DJ, Jack, Rose, and Finn walking before looking to BB-8. "Almost there!" Finn whispered to them.
"Snoke's Star Destroyer is definitely huge for some reason." Jack commented about the big ship.
In front of them, an elevator lifts its way to the top level of the Mega Star Destroyer carrying two figures in there.
As Rose and Jack start to look around for an elevator. "There's got to be an elevator that would take us to one of the top levels." Rose noted. "I know where it is, so let's keep a low profile and follow my lead." Finn told her.
"There it is!" Jack noticed before pointing at the doors. "Come on!" DJ said.
Then the five rushed towards the elevator doors before Finn pressed the up button. Then they get inside, but BB-8 just got in time before the doors close. Finn presses the button to the third level.
"So, the tracker must be on the third floor of this ship?!" Rose knew about this from the start. "Yes, it is!" nodded Finn. "It m-m-must be a way for you guys to shut it d-down so big ship can escape." DJ stammered.
"Those corridors are full of bucketheads and officers on this ship. Just to make sure everything is clear." Jack said with deep determination.
The doors then open to the third floor. BB-8 was the first to get out of the elevator before his comrades stepped out into the corridors. The four humans walk down the hall to the left. After walking down, the hallway, BB-8 bumps into the wall and the panel falls off. Momentarily, Jack puts the panel back where it belongs before following the group.
"This is it," Finn said, pointing to the door where the tracker is. "The tracker's right behind this door."
"Bingo!" Jack commented. "All we have to do is stand guard while DJ tinkers the control panel of the blast door."
Rose shouted softly "Right!"
DJ stepped towards the door, examining the control panel beside it. He flicked open a small flap beside a panel, revealing a mess of wires, fuses, and circuits. He reached into his pocket and pulled out Rose's medallion, using it to connect between two fuses. The circuits sparked in response, and the door control panel flashed a blue light before resetting itself. DJ then removed the crescent medallion from the fuses, blowing off a few wisps of smoke coming off its singed surface.
"Haysian smelt. Best conductor" DJ mused before handing the golden pendant back to Rose. As she smiled back at him, seeming pleasantly surprised. Finn and Jack even managed to crack a smile at DJ's actions. "And you're welcome." the slicer said in a kind tone before gesturing for the technician to move out of his way and let him continue his work.
"So, I think now's a good time to figure out how we get back to the fleet?" Rose said, grabbing Finn by his arm to get his attention,
"I know where the nearest escape pods are." he replied.
"Course you do." she commented.
And Jack motions the two to stand guard. "Let's prepare for anything right after we're done disabling the tracker."
"Okay." they said.
Then the voice of Poe Dameron is suddenly heard on the radio. "BB-8, tell me something good."
BB-8 chirped and throws the comlink out through one of the slits in the trash bin before Finn makes the catch then speaks into it. "Poe, we're almost there. Have the cruiser prepped for lightspeed."
Poe and his mutineers, including Connix strode down the white corridors of the Raddus, headed towards the bridge. "Yeah, I'm on it, pal. You just hurry."
The blast door opens as Poe and the mutineers entered the bridge. "Clear the bridge, escort the officers down to the hangar." A golden protocol droid named C-3PO, who is on the bridge at the, shuffled nervously. "Commander... Captain Dameron, Admiral Holdo was looking for you."
"Yeah, we spoke." He dryly replied. "Sir, I am almost afraid to ask." C-3PO commented. "Good instict, Threepio. Go with that." Poe said while stepping up to the command chair, pressing a few buttons on the console to prepare the cruiser for a jump to lightspeed.
Back in the transport hangar, the lights in the room turn off as the evacuation goes. In the meantime, Holdo and her closest advisors were still being held at gunpoint by Poe's mutineers. However, the admiral gains the upper hand by kicking a pipe on the ground, blowing steam in the faces of her captors, including C'ai. As the Abednedo takes out his blaster to stun the admiral, who fires a blue ring before her comrades follow suit to stun the mutineers.
Upon witnessing the fight breaking out from a viewscreen on the bridge, Poe turns to Connix. "Seal that door!"
She complied by heading towards the entrance of the bridge, pressing a button on the console. The door was now completely sealed and could only be opened by someone in the bridge.
Finn, Rose, and Jack all anxiously kept gazing down the hallways of the Supremacy, looking out for any passerby First Order personnel that could actually expose their mission.
"We're running out of time." Rose said quietly. As Finn glanced over at DJ. "Come on, how's it going?"
"Almost there!" he reported. "Good job, DJ!" Jack congratulated. "Keep it up!"
Back on the Raddus' bridge, Poe turns around on the command chair, facing C-3PO, who is walking towards the door, hoping to step out of the bridge. "Threepio, where do you think you're going?" he questions the protocol droid.
"It would be quite against my programming to be party to a mutiny." C-3PO replied, thus refusing to participate in the mutiny.
"Hey!" Poe tells him. "It is not correct protocol." he reaffirmed. He goes back to the entrance until the sparks erupted from it as the breaching party began using laser cutters to open the sealed door.
"Oh! Neither is this!" He panicked before turning back around, shuffling towards Poe and Connix.
"Finn? We're ready to make the jump!" Poe tell him over the comlink.
The former stormtrooper turns over to DJ, hoping his job was done. "Now or never."
"Well?" the Jedi asked.
DJ held up his hand, his index finger extended. A few seconds later. The control panel emitted a small beeping noise.
"Now." the hacker said, lowering his hand. The blast door opens, revealing some heavy machinery in the breaker room. A single bright light stood in the middle, contained in a large black case: the hyperspace tracker's main power source.
"You're up." Finn said to Rose, tipping his head towards the power breaker. "And make it quick. There are some First Order personnel are on their way." Jack noted that the crew of the Supremacy are arriving.
On the bridge, as the breaching party starts to break in, Poe gets off the command chair before taking out his blaster pistol and gets behind the chair. Connix stands alongside with C-3PO. Poe immediately turns off the alarm, preparing to fire at the incoming party. More sparks are coming from the entrance to the bridge.
The group minus Jack and BB-8 crossed the gangway leading to the breaker itself.
Before they get to the breaker, they hear a shrill robotic screech. BB-9E rolled out from behind the machinery, followed by the intelligence officer and a cadre of stormtroopers.
"You there, hands up!" One male stormtrooper shouted.
"Watch 'em, watch 'em!" another one said.
"Drop your weapons, now!" One stormtrooper shouted.
"Hands up, Rebel scum!" Poe heard it from the comlink on the stormtrooper said.
"Get down! I said, down!" DJ did what the stormtrooper said.
BB-8 witnessing that their plan has failed. Momentarily, Jack hid somewhere behind the blast door, observing his comrades getting captured. "Oh, no! The First Order got them!" he was shocked about this.
A chrome stormtrooper named Captain Phasma arrives in the breaker room, her crimson cape dragging behind her.
Finn stared at Captain Phasma with a look of pure hatred in his eyes.
"FN-2187. So good to have you back." she gloated.
And Poe suddenly realizes that his plan has failed, knowing that his worst fears becoming a reality. "They didn't make it..."
Then the blast door explodes, giving its attention to Poe, who held his blaster which is set to stun.
The smokescreen poured into bridge, concealing the identity of the breaching party. However, a woman in white medical robes name General Leia Organa emerged from the smoke, walking with a cane.
Poe lets out a sigh of relief when he saw who it was. "Leia."
As the Princess of Alderaan looked upon her mentee in a shred of disappointment. After a few seconds, she raised her pistol to shoot Poe with a stun blast. Both Connix and C-3PO looked at the stunned Poe before turning their attention to Leia, who just woke up from her coma. Then the two surrendered to her cause so the evacuation can continue.
Back on the Supremacy, Jack is still hiding behind the blast door watching his companions get captured by Captain Phasma and her group. BB-8 is still in the trash bin, avoiding capture like the Jedi did.
Moments later, Phasma leads her group, including the captured Finn, Rose, and DJ. "Move along, Rebel scum!" said one of the stormtroopers.
"Watch where you point that thing!" Finn demanded.
"Keep moving, traitor!" another stormtrooper snarled.
Rose sneered angrily at the stormtroopers. DJ looks very concerned about the failed mission he and the group were bound to achieve.
One male stormtrooper says "Find that other intruder, bring him in for execution!" to his comrades.
"Got it!" said one female stormtrooper.
They go their separate ways to find Jack.
After they First Order personnel leave, Jack comes out of hiding and meets BB-8 to help find Finn, Rose, and DJ.
"Well, that was a close call." he sighed in relief. The droid chirps in response. "I understand why we had to hide in case if something occurs that will happen in each mission we are involved into this mess." BB-8 bleeps about their companions getting captured. "Captured?" Jack questioned as the droid frantically chirps at him. "Okay, calm down! There's no need to rush!" BB-8 chirps responsively as Jack removes the trash bin from him. "Now let's find Finn, DJ, and Rose."
The two rushed off in the corridors of the Supremacy.
Note: I did not add any of Rey's scenes in this, but Jack's flashback was the actual focus in this scene. Also, there was no Rey and Kylo Ren in the elevator scene. Most importantly, I hate to see Poe that upset with Holdo, who was planning to help the crew evacuate the Raddus. Poe's splinter resistance was a group of mutineers against Holdo and her plans on the cruiser.
