Chapter 13: Pluto Attacks!
In the Temple of Mist Valley...
"Omens have already begun to appear." Asteria glanced up at the red star in the night sky.
"It is all the will of the Heavens." Pluto mocked.
"It's the evil-doer." Dynamis turned to the interloper. "I wish we could've gotten everything in order before you appeared here in the temple."
"The stars are already moving." Pluto addressed the Goddess. "Why don't you offer up the power of your Divine Aura to the God of Destruction. I require your aura to give Nemesis more power."
"This world has always been protected, developed and inherited by its people." Asteria drew on her Divine Aura.
"Impressive, Asteria." Pluto's hood was blown away from his head. "Wonderful. That fragrant Aura... that is what Nemesis desires."
"You will have to go through me first." Dynamis stood guard before his Goddess.
"You swore allegiance to Zeus and fulfilling that promise is part of your mission." Pluto reminded. "Therefore, being struck by Hades' curse in place of Zeus is also the will of the Fates. You know, don't you? Zeus and Hades were brothers and that jewel you hide around your neck is proof of that. It was passed from Hades to Zeus and inherited by the guardian of this Temple. It contains the desires that Hades was unable to fulfill."
"As long as I keep it sealed in my cloak, those wicked desires will not be revived." Dynamis swore.
"It is no use." Pluto tsked. "You cannot escape from Hades' curse." he activated his power, only to have Asteria's reinforced seal repel his power. "I see." he remarked. "So, this is your doing, Asteria. In that case, you will bear Hades' curse in his stead!" he ignited his power once more, branding Asteria with Hades' curse. "Does that hurt?" he mocked, grinning at the dark, inky wounds that erupted on Asteria's arm. "If you force your Divine Aura to ignite right now, it will mix with the power of Hades' curse and burst." laughing mockingly, he strolled out of the temple.
