Lila and Chloe were having a glaring contest. "Why?" you ask?

It all started this morning, when Miss Bustier announced that it was time for them to pick the new class representative.

Guess who nominated themselves?

Both girls have one goal: Their classmates' loyalty. They want to be respected and loved. Just like their superhero personas.

And nothing...stands in the way of-

"School's over."

Sabrina's voice made both girls blink, ending their little, glaring contest, much to their frustration. They didn't want a tie. Turns out they've been glaring ever since they became election rivals until the end of school.

"It's not too late to throw in the towel, Lila." Chloe taunted, "Being class rep can be so exhausting. Always listening to your classmates' demands... making sure everyone is not disappointed... Take it from someone whose daddy's the mayor."

Lila growled. She wasn't going to let Chloe scare her out of the competition. She smirked, "Why didn't you say you're suffering from a strong case of nervousness? I should ask our classmates to not vote for you. You would'nt want to get them contaminated."

Their teammates, along with the kwamis, rolled their eyes. Here they go again.

Chloe scoffed, "As if! I got this in the bag. You see... I have a very special friend who will secure my victory."

Lila faked surprise, "Well so do I. Except my friend has more influence than your 'friend'. With her help, the others won't be able to resist voting for me. How can they not? They adore her."

A rather sharp "a-hem?" interrupted the argument and alerted the two teens. Warily, they turned around, only to stare at the disapproving gaze of their mentor.

"I'm afraid your 'friends' are too busy." Gabriel remarked, "But that's okay. You have other friends. Everyday heroes living normal lives, and... honest individuals who don't abuse their abilities for selfish gain in fear of dealing with consequences IF...(!) they do so."

Both Lila and Chloe audibly gulped. They hate being reminded whenever they misuse, or in the process of misusing, their powers.

That's why they have Plan B.

Since she couldn't ask her first sponsor to represent her in the election, Chloe decided to ask aid from her second sponsor: Jagged Stone.

Thanks to her father, the mayor, she convinced the rock star to autograph free CD's of his latest hits at Hotel de Ville and personally hand them to her classmates.

Lila's Plan B: Remind her classmates why Chloe should'nt even be class representative in the first place.

She wants the class to remember what a total brat Chloe is and give them false hope to rebel against her so that she won't become class representative.

When Chloe found out about this, she retaliated, reminding the class of Lila's many lies.

The two argued once again, only to stop when they heard screaming coming from outside. Everyone watched with shock as a black-armored knight was transforming innocent civilians into his personal army with two touches of his sword.

And they were now heading for the class and the Mayor!

The akumatized leader, Darkblade, was suddenly hit by a pink-frosted cupcake. He faces sideways, only to be hit by another cupcake.

"Over here you walking soup cans!" Marinette, armed with a box of cupcakes, called to the akuma in order to steer him and his army away from her friends.

"Marinette!" Jag cried with worry as the boys held him back. He could only watch as his niece was being chased by the corrupted army of knights.

"You... stupid...!" Alya cursed, but was also worried for her friend. Beside her, Rose weeps. The others pray their heroes, any of them, would come and save their friend, who just sacrificed herself to buy the others time to get to safety.

Maybe this wasn't a good idea... But she just couldn't let her friends be turned into knights and become mindless minions to the villain-of-the-day.

She tripped. The knights were just inches away from her. One got close enough to reach out and grab her.

But before they could grab her, she was grabbed by a dark purple blur and taken away, far from the Darkblade army.

Her saviour stopped, and gently lowered her down. She opened her eyes and gasped when she found out that she was just saved by Hawk Moth!

Marinette backs away in fear until her back made contact with a tree. In front of her was the villainous mastermind, and one of Team Miraculous' greatest enemies.

She remembered the first time she encountered the masked butterfly man, and how he turned one of her innocent classmates into his mindless pawn. She admits, the unexpected event that happened on that day was terrifying, but she wasn't just going to let a butterfly man turn one of her friends evil and use them to hurt others.

She mustered all the courage inside of her and demanded, "Stop turning innocent civilians into your personal slaves!"

Hawk Moth gave her what she thinks is a look of pity, "I'm sorry. It's not something we can control."

Before Marinette could snap back, she felt her heart aching and grips her chest tightly. It was as if a sudden wave of negative energy was coursing through her.

The dark purple jewel on her bracelet glowed, levitated off her wrist, and embedded itself on her chest. Seconds later, Nooroo flew out of her purse, worryingly awaiting her orders.

"Nooroo... Dark Wings rise."

Hawk Moth could only watch as his niece was transformed into his unwilling partner-in-crime.

Darkblade's minions never found the teenage girl again, but when they saw the Butterflies, they kneeled and bowed before them in respect.

Darkblade raises his sword and uses it to transform a limousine into a black butterfly-themed carriage, complete with horses.

"Now this is what I call loyalty." Mariposa smirked as a knight took her hand and escorted her into the carriage.

Hawk Moth hated seeing her like this. His niece has always been a sweet, caring girl, but when corrupted by the Butterfly Miraculous, she becomes obsessed with her power, treating every victim she akumatized like a toy. While she is set to fulfill their wish, she doesn't hesitate to turn it into a game for her own amusement.

Jag knew the heroes will save the day. They always do.

But he couldn't shake the fact that he couldn't save his own niece, who, in her brave, selfless way, sacrificed herself to save others. Just like she always do.

Rose, Juleka and Mylene did their best to comfort the rock star and his pet crocodile while the others barricade the doors with anything heavy they could find.

"We should hide upstairs." Chloe advised.

"My thoughts exactly." Lila interjected, earning a growl from her rival. She growled in return.

While the two argued, their teammates were trying to find a way to sneak off in order to transform without any of their classmates noticing. Luckily, Adrien had fencing practice and couldn't join them earlier.

That gave him the chance to transform into Chat Noir and warn his classmates about Darkblade's plan: To enslave all of Paris by placing his flag on top of City Hall.

Chat managed to distract the mayor, Jag and his classmates, allowing Trixx to conjure up illusionary copies of his teammates' civilian forms to take their places while they go out to save the day.

The Team got out, just as the Butterflies' carriage came to a halt and Mariposa came out first.

"Dang it!" Queen Bee stomped her foot on the ground. The tone of her voice changed, somewhere between a whine and complaining, "Why can't Daddy get a ride like that?"

Mariposa chuckled in amusement as a knight escorted her off the carriage.

"Claim the kingdom that is yours, Darkblade." Hawk Moth told the akumatized villain, "Just remember to surrender the rebellious heroes to us."

"Advance!" Darkblade ordered his soldiers to attack the heroes. Some fought the heroes, but were actually keeping them busy while the other soldiers climbed, or catapulted themselves, to the building so that they could place Darkblade's flag on the highest peak.

After realizing this, Chat uses his baton to launch Carapace to the top of the building so that he could use his Shell-ter to prevent the knights from reaching the top. Unfortunately, the others have less than five minutes to come up with a master plan before he uses up his superpower.

This is where Ladybug comes in. And the Lucky Charm-of-the-day is...

A wind-up toy...

Mariposa clashed weapons with Chat, "You know every princess has a prince."

Chat got the hint. And hated it.

He already has a princess in his life... His one and only...

He has to focus. Carapace has only a few minutes left before his Shell-ter disappears.

As it turns out, Darkblade was ticklish. His armor was durable, but there were small, open spaces that a small, wind-up toy can fit and enter in.

After everything was turned back to normal, Marinette got a good scolding from her Uncle Jag for being so reckless, despite him being proud of how she was able to save her classmates and friends.

"WHAT?!"

After the votes were counted, and the new class rep was announced, Lila and Chloe couldn't believe their ears.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng WON?!

How come noone told them she was also running for class rep?!

"We told you guys like a hundred times." Alya pointed out.

"Literally." Sabrina added, "I counted."

"Did you guys even read the school blog?" Nino asks, holding up his phone to show them an article of Marinette running for class rep.

Lila and Chloe were in the background. Arguing.

While the two were too busy sabotaging each other, Marinette has won over her classmates through her selflessness and her willingness to sacrifice herself so that her friends and family may be spared from the villains' wrath.

"All hail President Marinette!" Adrien covered his mouth, and his blushing cheeks, in embarrassment. Dang it! He still has vibes from the Darkblade incident.

Nino came to his friend's rescue, "We pledge our loyalty to you!"

"We swore to protect you as you have protected us!" Alya joined in.

The rest of the class, minus two sour candidates, joined in the act. Kim and Ivan linked arms, making a makeshift chair for Marinette to sit it and raised her high in the air.

Marinette laughed at her friends' support. Together, they can overcome any obstacle, and no evil Butterflies and/or akumas will ever stand in their way.
