During the day, Demona made contact with Elisa rather reluctantly.

Elisa was going to bed for the day when her phone rang. She hoped it wasn't her boss. She picked up. "Hello?"

"Detective Maza. It's Demona."

"Demona? What do you want?" Elisa demanded.

"Relax, Detective. I'm not calling to cause trouble; I'm calling to tell you that I found Brooklyn." Demona said.

Elisa's eyes widened. "What have you done to him?!" She exclaimed.

"I have done nothing but save his life last night. He was being tortured by some humans in the borough of his namesake." Demona explained. "He's fine. Just in stone sleep right now. But I did notice that he had a broken wing too. He wouldn't have been able to glide home."

Elisa relaxed a little but was still worried for the young male. "Don't you dare harm him." She warned her.

"I don't plan to. He'll be here tonight. If you can get Angela or the clan to come get him, so be it. But he needs to go back with them." Demona stated.

"I couldn't agree more." Elisa said. "Where is he?"

"Angela will know. That I cannot reveal to a human, Detective." Demona proclaimed.

"Fine. But just keep him there until they can come, please." Elisa asked of her.

"Alright."

"Brooklyn is very prone to run right now. He's gone through a lot. Please keep him there." Elisa declared.

"Why? What's going on that he's so prone to run from his own clan?" Demona demanded.

"That's something that just can't be revealed right now, Demona." Elisa stated, trying to protect Brooklyn's secret. She didn't need to know that.

"I also noticed he looks a bit overweight. What's that about, Detective?" Demona asked. "I mean he has a bulging belly. He's never been prone to overeat, not like my daughter's mate, Broadway."

"I don't know, Demona. We'll find out later. He might have been eating more while he was gone. He might have been stress eating. We'll take it from there." Elisa declared.

"Fine." Demona said. "I'll try to keep him here, but I don't know how his wing will be tomorrow night. If his wing is healed, he'll likely be gone."

"If you can, lock him in the room. Don't let him out. The clan will be there." Elisa spoke fast.

"Good." Demona smirked. "Going now." Then she hung up.

Elisa was flabbergasted that Demona, Brooklyn's biggest rival, had him in her custody right now and hadn't harmed him, rather saved him. And she still didn't know about the pregnancy. Angela had not told her mother about it apparently. That was good.

She went to bed knowing that she had to get to the Eyrie building early to make sure she greeted the clan as they woke up. This was their best chance to get Brooklyn back home.

Demona went to go lock the door to the room. Luckily, it was a room with no windows. Brooklyn wouldn't be able to escape. She would be back here before the sun set tonight.

She went to work for the day.

...

That night, Brooklyn awoke in the room again. After stretching, his muscles felt refreshed, and his wing felt a lot better. There was still a little soreness in it. He proceeded to stretch it out fully. He winced. It had to work in order for him to get out of here. He remembered he was in Demona's house.

He went to the door to open it. But it wouldn't open. "Hey! Open this door!" Brook shouted out. He tried some more to open the door.

Demona had gotten home minutes before sunset. She was now at the door after changing into her gargess form. "You're not getting out of there anytime soon, Brooklyn."

Brooklyn heard her on the other side. "Let me out of here, Demona!" He dreaded that she was now going to do something horrible to him. At least she hadn't killed him in his sleep.

"You're not running anymore." Demona declared on the other side.

"Let me out of here or you'll regret it when you come back in here!" Brook warned her.

"You're not leaving. There's a special surprise for you later." Demona told him.

Brooklyn knew this was trouble. He had to get out of here. "Let me go!" He tugged harder.

"Nope!"

Demona couldn't help but have a little fun with him. She was just waiting for the clan to show up.

Brooklyn immediately went to try to find a weak spot in the wall or something. He had to get out.

...

At sunset, Elisa was at the Eyrie building. She greeted the clan as they awakened.

"Hi, Elisa." Goliath greeted her.

"What's up?" Lex asked.

"Guys, I have some news. Demona called me this morning and she says she has Brooklyn." Elisa declared.

The clan was suddenly in shock. "Demona! What has she done to him?!" Goliath demanded.

"Calm down, Father. Mother hasn't seen or heard from Brooklyn in a long time. She must have just found him." Angela tried to settle the argument.

"That's what she said. She needs you to go get him. She said that you will know where to find him." Elisa told Angela.

"Yes, I think so." Angela stated.

"You all need to work this out. Goliath, I don't think we can make Brooklyn give up the babies. It's obvious why he ran away." Elisa decreed.

"Yes. We will accept them as new clan members, no matter what. They are part of him." Goliath said. "But we will watch the young ones closely."

"We also don't want any more clones." Lex stated.

"Let's go get him!" Broadway declared.

Bronx was to stay behind but the other six gargoyles left the castle, following Angela. Elisa was left to go back to her car or wait. She chose to wait. She wanted to apologize to him.

...

Brooklyn tried in vain to get out of the room. He couldn't help but start to cry. He was scared of what was going to happen to him. His enemy hadn't done anything yet to him, but what was she going to do to him?

A little while later, there were some noises outside the room and the loudness of it made Brooklyn jump. Then he heard footsteps coming. They were coming closer. There were lots of footsteps. He feared the worst. Was she turning him over to some hunters or something?

He got up and went to the farthest corner. He wrapped his wings around himself and put a hand over his stomach, trying to protect his babies. He curled his tail around himself too. He flattened his ears, fearing it was the end.

The door unlocked finally. The light came on and in filed Demona along with six other gargoyles that he hadn't seen in a long time. Brooklyn's eyes lit up.

When the clan saw Brooklyn cowering in the corner, that had an instant reaction. "What did you do to our brother?!" Broadway demanded angrily.

"I didn't do anything to him." Demona retorted. "Just kept him locked in here to make sure he wasn't going to escape before you could come and get him."

Angela then stepped forward to Brooklyn. "Brooklyn, it's alright. We're not going to hurt you." She said gently.

She got in front of him and stood there.

"Brooklyn, it's us? Do you remember us?" Lexington asked gently.

"Yes, I remember you." Brooklyn replied. He slowly stood up, uncurling himself.

"Demona, could we have some moments to be alone?" Goliath stated.

"Fine." Demona declared and walked out.

Hudson then came forward. "We really would like for ye to come home, lad. We miss ye." He said in his thick Scottish accent.

Brooklyn looked warily at his clan. Their eyes were softer now. With his wacky hormones, he couldn't help himself that tears came to his eyes. He ran into Hudson's waiting arms. He sobbed hard.

"I want to come home!" Brook sobbed.

"It's not the same in the castle without you there, Brooklyn." Angela declared.

The clan let Brooklyn cry for a bit. Then they settled down enough to talk.

"Where have you been all this time?" Hudson asked.

"Around the city, but I also stayed at your friend's house, Robbins." Brooklyn admitted. He flattened his ears. "At least up until last night."

The clan was shocked. Robbins had said he hadn't seen him. But then it had been before Brooklyn had moved in with him.

"Did Robbins lie to us that he said he hadn't seen you?" Lex asked.

"No. It must have been before I started staying with him." Brook replied.

"Brooklyn, we would like you to come home with us." Goliath declared.

"I want to, Goliath, but there's one catch. What about my babies?" Brooklyn held his stomach.

The leader saw that his Second's belly had gotten bigger in the few months he had been gone. The clan all noticed it.

"I won't let you harm them." Brooklyn warned them.

"Brooklyn, we won't harm them either." Angela said.

"But then, I heard you the night I told you. You were all planning on me having an abortion. I know this isn't a natural pregnancy and all but am I making it clear that I won't have an abortion!" Brooklyn glared at the others. "They are clan now too, as they are part of me. I don't care if I don't have a mate yet. I'll find one when the time is right, but these are my children."

"We understand, lad. We won't let anything happen to them. We had discussed it and agreed to support ye and the offspring." Hudson decreed.

The others all nodded and smiled. Goliath was still serious but nodded too.

"Good." Brook replied.

"How did Demona catch you anyway?" Broadway asked.

"Last night, the same humans who did this to me had caught me again. She apparently followed them to the place where I was, and she saved me. I found out from the doctor of them that my babies are half gargoyle and half human." Brooklyn explained. "And how they got me pregnant, which I don't want to talk about."

"Understandable. Are you ready to go home, Brooklyn?" Goliath asked.

"Yes."

"We must also stop by Robbins' house so you can tell him you're coming home." Hudson decreed.

"I know. I didn't have much anyway." Brook stated.

"Can you glide on that wing?" Angela asked.

"I think so. It's a little sore but it was broken last night after landing on it hard." Brook said.

"Try it." Goliath said. The clan then left the room.

"Thanks for saving Brooklyn, Mother." Angela thanked her.

"You're welcome, Angela." Demona replied. The clan was grateful to her this time.

Outside on the balcony, the clan all spread their wings and took to the air. Brooklyn was determined to glide with them. He was the last to rise. His wing was sore but not too sore. He was able to glide with them, but they stayed with him to make sure he wouldn't fall.

They all went to Robbins' house. Hudson knocked on the door and Gilly barked in excitement. Robbins answered. "Who's there?" he asked.

"It's me, old friend." Hudson replied, petting Gilly.

"Hudson, nice to see you. I have seen young Brooklyn." Robbins said.

"I'm here, Robbins." Brooklyn stated.

"Brooklyn, why weren't you here last night?" Robbins asked.

"I uh... had some trouble with some people who captured me. I was saved and I am going home with my clan tonight. But we came by for me to just say thank you for putting me up for these few months." Brooklyn thanked the blind man for his hospitality.

"I was happy to be of service. I wish you luck with your future babies too." Robbins stated.

"Thank you."

After the thank you, the clan proceeded to get going again. Brooklyn was more than ready to get home. But there was something still bothering him. After the landing last night, he wanted to know if the babies were truly alright.

When they got home, they were greeted by Elisa and the Xanatos family. Looking at little Alex gave Brooklyn thoughts on maybe he could get experience from him before his twins arrived.

"Good to see you are doing well there, Brooklyn." David smiled warmly. "It's never too late to congratulate a new father."

"Thanks, I guess." The red male replied.

Elisa came up and gave him a hug. "Are you alright?" she asked.

"I have a concern if the twins are okay after my fall last night from being drugged." Brooklyn replied.

"How far along are you now?" Lex asked, amazed at the size of his brother's stomach.

"Five months, but I doubt they'll be ready to be born for a while yet. That's what Sato said." Brook stated. "Yes, I saw him. But I need to see him again."

"That can be arranged." Fox declared.

Sato was called to come and take a look at Brooklyn and his twins to make sure they were alright. While they were waiting, Brook showed the clan his last sonogram before his capture.

The clan couldn't believe how big the babies were inside him. No wonder his belly was swollen out.
