Austin opened the red doors to the daycare and he entered. As he entered, the doors closed behind him. It was a dim large room, but not too dim for Austin to see. He saw posters of some of the animatronics on the walls, seeing the bear, Chica, Monty and Roxanne with the phrase "Fizzyfaz." He also saw some restrooms and decided to go in the boys restroom. As he entered, it was too dark for him to see, so he closed the door behind him and began to move once more.
Man this place is huge! How can they even pay for all of this? I wonder how much money they need to pay to keep this place functioning, probably a lot.
Austin went further In and saw some palm trees. He also saw paintings of a sun character, and a moon character. He saw they had names on the paintings.
Sundrop? Moondrop? So these must be the names that I might encounter soon.
Just then, Austin saw a large, storage like door. He went over to the door, as he was close enough, it started to open upwards. He was greeted with a golden statue of Sundrop. He went in further and saw the golden Statue of Moondrop, chairs, small chairs, a couch, tables, etc. He saw a slide with the phrase "slide into fun!" Austin went to the slide and sat down on the slide. However, as he was about to slide down, something was crawling up the slide.
"Security alert! Securi...ahhh!" The voice said as Austin began to slide down the slide and collided with it.
Austin slide down with the figure and into a ball pit at the end of the slide. The ball pit covered half of his body.
"Ow," Austin whined in pain. "What... what did I hit while on the slide?" He asked himself.
Just then, Austin started to be lifted up. Austin looked down and saw the figure and knew who it was. Austin was on the shoulders of Sundrop. Two arms reached out to Austin and grabbed him. It brought him to his face. Sundrop's face has a big smile and white eyes. It also had a crescent moon shape on his face.
"Rule breaker! Rule break... er?" Sundrop said before looking at the now scared child. "Wait... your not the rule breaker."
"U-uhh... no? I d-don't think I am a ruler breaker... am I?"
"Hohoho! No." Sundrop said as he took Austin out from the ball pit and onto the floor. "Hello~ Your sure up late, are we having a slumber party?"
"Oh uh..." Austin said before Sundrop butt in.
"Where are your friends?"
"Uh... I'm not too sure."
"That's alright, I'll be your friend!" Sundrop said as he spun around his head.
"Oh, o-okay."
Austin saw Sundrop more clearly now. Sundrop was wearing a red and darkish yellow striped pants, a small dress with the same stripe pattern and a collar on his neck. He also had bells on his wrists and had elf like shoes with bells on the end. Austin looked around and saw that the whole place is a playground.
"Sooo... what do you do for fun?" Austin asked Sundrop.
"Ohhh, I'm glad you asked!" Sundrop said excitedly. "We can finger paint, tell stories, drink fizzy faz until our heads ex-PLODE and stay up all night."
When Sundrop said that, Austin gasped and had another vision. Seeing kids finger painting, reading books, and playing with kids as something was carrying him. As this was happening, Sundrop was waving his hand to his face.
"Helloooo. Earth to new friend." Sundrop said to Austin.
Austin flinched and snap out of it. Austin then looked at Sundrop, who's face is tilted a bit.
"Are you alright?" Sundrop asked worriedly.
"Yeah, sorry. I spaced out a little."
"That's alright new friend. Say, what's your name? I didn't catch it."
"Oh, I'm Austin."
"It's nice to meet you Austin, I'm Sundrop, the Darecare Attendant."
"It's nice to meet you Sundrop," Austin smiled. "So, do you wanna do something?"
"Of course!" Sundrop said excitedly. "How about we do some drawing?"
"Okay, sure."
Sundrop clapped his hands excitedly. "Oh goodie! Stay here for a second while I grab some paper."
Sundrop walked away from Austin to grab some paper, well more like skipped away. Austin sat down where he stood and waited. About 20 seconds later, Sundrop returned with blank sheets of paper and crayons. Sundrop placed down the paper and crayons.
"Their we are. We only have crayons, I hope you don't mind." Sundrop said to Austin.
"That's fine by me."
Sundrop nodded and placed a piece of paper to Austin. Sundrop sat down next to Austin and picked some crayons. They both began to draw, Austin drawing a house, while Sundrop was drawing a picture of himself. As they were both drawing, Austin looked up at Sundrop and asked a question.
"So Sundrop, who was this rule breaker?" Austin asked Sundrop.
"I'm not sure, he didn't tell me his name. I didn't really need to know anyways, the only thing I knew was that he was a rule breaker and I banned him from the daycare." Sundrop replied.
"And how did he break the rules?"
"I told him to keep the lights on, but he turned them off anyway."
"Why do you want the lights on?"
"Because of Moondrop."
"Moondrop?"
"Yeah. He's the nighttime version of me. Whenever the lights are off, he would take over my body for putting kids to bed. However, he's a bit... crazy at the moment, so I tried to warn him."
"Oh, I see. Well I won't turn off the lights then."
"Thank you."
"No problem. May I ask one more thing?"
"Of course friend, what is it?"
"Where is he exactly?"
"Oh, I threw him at the door over their." Sundrop said as he pointed to two giant wooden doors by the end of the daycare.
"And did you see him after that?"
"Nope, I yelled security alert to him and I can hear chattering as I closed the door.
"Oh okay."
"Say, how's your drawing coming along?"
"Oh, I'm finished actually."
"Me too! How about we show our drawings to each other."
"Okay."
Sundrop and Austin swapped drawings to each other. Sundrop's drawing was himself and with a child with an arrow on the top that says "new best friend." Austin's drawing was a building with many kids playing with each other outside, except for one kid, sitting alone on a swing set.
"Aww, this drawing is cute." Austin complimented Sundrop.
"Thank you, your too kind," Sundrop said happily. "Yours is... really good. Why did you draw this place? It looks like fun!" Sundrop asked curiously.
"I'm... not too sure. This place feels... familiar to me, but I don't remember it."
"Oh, I see. Hey, it's still a good drawing. Are you an artist?"
"No, not really. I don't draw that much."
"Well I got to say, your drawing is really detailed for a kid your age, even when using crayons."
"Thanks Sundrop. I sometimes doodle, but I haven't done that in a while."
"Say, how old are you? If you are around the same age as the kids that I see, you must be very talented."
"I am 8 years old."
"8 years old?! Wow, in the daycare I have to watch kids 1-5 and they can't draw with this much detail. It's pretty impressive."
"Heh... yeah." Austin said as he sighed sadly.
"Hm, what's wrong Austin?"
"Oh, it's nothing. I'm just trying to figure out why I drew this building and why it feels familiar to me." Austin lowered his head down.
Sundrop spun his head around to make his smile to a frown. Sundrop then had an idea. He spun his head back to a smile and tapped on Austin's shoulder. Austin looked up at Sundrop.
"Tag! You're it!" Sundrop said as he began to run around in circles.
"Oh I see what your doing. Okay, here I come!" Austin said as he got up and began to chase Sundrop.
The both of them were laughing happily as the two of them were running from each other. Austin got close to Sundrop and touched his leg.
"Tag! You're it!"
"Hohoho, you got me, but I'm gonna get ya."
They both ran and ran, until Austin ran out of breath and stopped running so he can catch his breathe. Sundrop got close to Austin and tagged him back.
"Gotcha." Sundrop said happily.
The both of them began to laugh. Just then, they heard knocking on the wooden doors. Austin and Sundrop looked at each other. Sundrop knelt down to Austin's level.
"I'll be right back, alright?" Sundrop said to Austin.
"Okay." Austin replied, still catching his breathe.
Sundrop got back up and skipped over to the door. He opened the door slightly and began to greet the person at the other end.
"Hello ~" Sundrop greeted.
Austin couldn't hear the person on the other side, but he can hear Sundrop.
"Oh, can I help you?" Sundrop said to the person.
A moment of silence can be heard before Sundrop replied.
"Why yes, he is here." Sundrop replied.
Another moment of silence can be heard before Sundrop replied again.
"You want to see him? Okie dokie," Sundrop turned his head to Austin. "Austin, someone's here to see you."
Austin walked over to Sundrop and looked at the other side. He saw Roxanne standing at the other side.
"Oh, hi Roxy." Austin smiled at her.
"Come on Auzzy, we're going." Roxanne replied.
"What? Already? But me and Sundrop were having fun."
"Sorry kid, but this other kid isn't going to find itself."
"Awww." Austin groaned sadly.
Sundrop looked at Austin and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey don't be upset. We can play some other time." Sundrop said to Austin.
"Really?" Austin replied.
"Of course! We're best buds! Your always welcomed at the daycare."
"Thank you Sundrop, you really are a great friend."
Sundrop went to Austin's level and hugged him. Austin returned the hug.
"This is the funnest I have ever had. If you have time to spare, come see me, I'm always here if you need anything."
"It was fun to play with you Sundrop. I'll come back soon, okay."
"Sounds good to me," Sundrop turned to Roxanne. "Be sure to watch over him."
"Yeah, yeah," Roxanne said as she gestured Austin to get going. "Come on kid, let's go."
"Okay Roxy," Austin walked to Roxanne's side and they both started to walk away from the daycare and Austin waved at Sundrop. "See you later Sundrop."
"See you soon, Sunshine!" Sundrop waved back, before he closed the door.
As Sundrop closed the door, silence filled the daycare. Sundrop sighed.
"That kid is certainly something."
"Yeah, it's too bad he won't survive the night." A voice echoed the daycare.
Sundrop flinched and looked around. "Who are you? And what do you mean by that?" Sundrop asked the voice.
"My name isn't your concern for now. And you know exactly what I mean and you are going to help me catch him."
"If your talking about Austin, then forget it! He's my best friend and I'll never help you."
"Oh I wasn't asking you," the voice said sinisterly as the daycare lights turned off. "The other one will help me."
"No! No! What are you doing?!" Sundrop said as he groaned in pain.
"It's like I said, the other one is going to help me." The voice evilly laughed.
Sundrop fell to the floor, groaning in pain. His face started to turn white, his pants turned dark blue with yellow stars on the pants and had a sleeping hat on top of his head. Just then, he got back up. His pupils turned red and started to laugh sinisterly.
"Now, let us find these two children and finish what we started." The voice said as the two of them laughed creepily.
