"Hi, my name is Miles Morales, you probably haven't heard of me yet, I know that you all know Peter Parker's and Gwen Stacy's stories, but this is my story, and this is where it all began for me, on this day." Miles is narrating his story.
It's September 7th at 7 AM in the morning at LaGuardia Airport where Dr. Jonathan Drew is at the pickup lane with a aluminum briefcase in his hand, he is waiting for an Uber to come and pick him up, a black SUV drove up to the corner and honked it horns for the scientist. The scientist got into the back as an African American man is driving.
"Where to?" Hobie Brown asking Dr. Drew.
"ESU, Empire State University." Jonathan Drew told him his destination.
"Sure thing, ESU we go!" Hobie Brown drives the SUV.
The SUV drives away from the airport taking the British Scientist to Empire State University, Dr. Drew's phone is ringing as he answers and the Uber driver listens.
"Yeah, it's me, I've just arrived and heading there right now with the precious cargo, I've clear it with customs. I'm sure you're very eager to see it once I get there. Okay, see you soon." Jonathan Drew hangs up the phone.
Hobie Brown is curious as to what this precious cargo is this man is carrying inside his briefcase, Hobie will need to think up something to get his hands on the briefcase.
At the same time in a home in Brooklyn, 14 year old Miles Morales is still asleep in his bed until the door is knocking very hard outside his bedroom.
"Miles, wake up, time for school!" Rio told her son.
"Alright, alright... I'm awake." Miles starting to wake up.
Miles is waking up after his mother Rio informed him that it's time for school, he stretched his arms up and yawns out loud, he gets up off his bed and looks around his room to see the suitcase all packed up as he is moving out of the house. His bedroom walls are covered with drawings made by Miles himself as well as newspapers clippings of Spider-Man, his hero.
"Great, first day of school." Miles says sarcastically.
Miles Gonzalo Morales is a 14 year old Afro Latino teenager from Brooklyn, the son of Jefferson Davis and Rio Morales, he has very short black hair and stands at 5'4", he is of Puerto Rican descent on his mother's side and Carrie's her last name.
(Later)
Miles has gotten dressed up in his school uniform for his first day of school as he walks downstairs with his suitcase all packed up, his parents Jefferson and Rio waiting for him.
"Can't believe that my baby boy is finally in high school." Rio is happy for her son's first day.
"Yeah, if I we're going to a regular high school instead of prep school." Miles isn't too enthusiastic.
"Come on, son, Brooklyn Visions Academy is the best school in all of Brooklyn, and you're very lucky enough to be one of the few to attend such a school." Jefferson gave Miles some enthusiasm.
"I'm only lucky thanks to that lottery and I was the lucky winner." Miles reminded his parents.
"Look at it this way, at least you won't be alone, your best pal Ganke is attending that school with you." Rio told Miles of Ganke.
"That's true." Miles agrees with his mother.
"Come on, give it a chance. Who knows? You might end up liking it for a while." Jefferson gave some encouragement.
Miles sighed. "Fine then, let's get going."
"Thatta boy!" Jefferson told his son.
Miles is walking out of his home with his dad until his mother came up and gave a hug before he leaves.
"Good luck at your new school, Mi Hijo!" Rio told her son.
"I will, mama." Miles told his mom.
Rio finished hugging Miles before she kissed his forehead, they parted ways as Miles climbs into his father's police sedan and left his home behind, he's now heading into a new school for a new beginning.
In Manhattan, the SUV finished crossing the bridge, Dr. Drew yawns out as he is tired from his flight, Hobie Brown sees that he hasn't had any cup of Joe yet.
"You seem tired out!" Hobie Brown told Jonathan Drew
"Yeah, it's been a long flight." Jonathan Drew admits that he's tired out.
"Listen, we're driving up to Tribeca, they got the most decent coffee shop in Manhattan, wanna stop there for a drink?" Hobie Brown suggested to Dr. Drew.
"Sure thing, I could use a drink. Let's go." Jonathan Drew agrees to get some coffee.
The SUV drove up to the street where the Coffee Bean is opened and full to capacity, Dr. Drew is amazed this place is so packed for a coffee shop.
"This could take awhile." Dr. Drew told himself.
"Hey listen, I'll park across the street waiting for you to go get your cup of Joe." Hobie Brown told the scientist.
Jonathan Drew sighed. "Fine, wait there and I'll be back soon."
Jonathan Drew got off the SUV and walks into the Coffee Bean, he left his briefcase behind alone Hobie Brown who is eyeballing it.
(Later)
Jonathan Drew came out of the Coffee Bean with his drink only to find the SUV gone along with his briefcase, the Uber driver stole from him his valuable prize.
"Bloody hell!" Jonathan Drew got screwed big time.
(Chinatown)
In an alley in Chinatown, Hobie is in the back of the SUV examining the briefcase that is locked, he started picking it and he broke the combination, the case opens.
"Finally, let's see what this Brit was carrying?" Hobie Brown is excited to look inside.
Hobie opens it up only to find nothing but a glass container that housed a new breed of super spider, his smiled turns frown upon picking up and seeing the spider.
"What the hell? This is the precious cargo?! Man, this is crap!" Hobie Brown is disappointed.
He tossed the container back as it breaks off the upon hitting the back door, the spider got loose. Hobie is very disappointed that there was nothing valuable in the case, but then his phone pinged as he pulls it out and checks the memo.
"Oh shit! I have to get to Rikers to pick up my man!" Hobie Brown is getting jumpy.
Hobie climbs to the driver seat and starts the SUV as he is late picking up someone of great importance to him, he drives away from the alley unaware that a spider is now loose and has turned invisible.
It's 7:45 AM in Brooklyn as the police cruiser stopped at the entrance of Brooklyn Visions Academy, Miles is in the back seat listening to music with his EarPods and has his eyes closed.
"Miles? Miles?!!!" Jefferson calling out his son.
Miles snapped out of the music. "Sorry, what is it, dad?"
"Here we are, Brooklyn Visions Academy." Jefferson told his son.
Miles looks out the window to see the school he'll be attending for four years of his high school life, a lot of students are all dressed in blue blazers with the initials BVA on their left side, this school looked too elitist to Miles
"Are you sure it's not too late to changes school, dad?" Miles is having second thoughts.
"Knock it off, Miles and suck it up. Give it a chance and maybe you'll get use to it." Jefferson tells his son.
"Fine... but if doesn't work, then can I change school?" Miles joking around again.
"Oh, for heaven sake, just get out the car, boy!" Jefferson told his son.
Miles got out of the car and took his stuff with him, Miles went up to passenger side window and looked at his dad.
"Goodbye and good luck, son." Jefferson told his son.
"Thanks, dad, I'm going to need it." Miles told his dad.
Jefferson drives away from the school as Miles is alone standing outside the entrance of Brooklyn Visions Academy, he's about to make his first step in walking towards the front door.
"Miles!!!" Ganke yells out.
Miles stops and turns to see his best friend Ganke Lee who is also attending this school, Ganke is a overweight Korean teen the same age as Miles, he's is wearing glasses and even wearing the school uniform too.
"Ganke, hey! I was wondering when I see you here!" Miles is glad to see his best friend Ganke.
"Hey, you didn't think I'd leave you hanging, did you?" Ganke told his friend Miles.
"Maybe just a little bit." Miles jokes at Ganke.
"Dang, that's hurtful. Come on, let's see what's in store for us." Ganke tells Miles.
Miles and Ganke both walked into Brooklyn Visions Academy together as they're amazing by the place, it's definitely a step from the school they're used to. They walk up to the group of freshman as a 17 year old girl with black hair tied in a ponytail came up to meet the freshman.
"Good morning everyone, my name is Kate Bishop, I'm the senior here at Brooklyn Visions Academy, here we will expand your knowledge in science and technology, you will also learn math, history, and more. Also we have rooms available for two, find a suitable roommate you'll want to pair up with, cause they'll be your best friends for the whole year. Alright, that concludes our presentation, thank you and enjoy the rest of the year at the school." Kate Bishop finished her presentation.
Kate Bishop walks away as everyone is picking out a roommate, Miles and Ganke obviously are roommates since they're friends, they walked away as they're about to search for a room until Miles bumped into a Latina girl and they both dropped their stuff.
"Ouch!" Anya felt hurt.
"Oh god! I am so sorry! That was an accident, I swear!" Miles felt bad for the accident.
Anya chuckled. "It's okay, that was on me too."
Miles offered his hand and Anya took it, he helped her up on her feet as Miles meet a new girl same age as him and Ganke, she's a Latina teen with brown hair tied in a ponytail with brown eyes and tan skin.
"Uh... hi! I'm Miles Morales." Miles introduced himself.
"Nice to meet you, Miles, I'm Anya Corazon." Anya introducted herself.
Miles and Anya shake hands after their introductions to one another, Anya then picked up her stuff and walked away to find a roommate, Miles is still staring at the new girl as Ganke noticed it.
(Dorm Room)
Sometime later, Miles and Ganke finally found a room for them to share together for a year. Miles is setting his suitcase as Ganke is smiling and giving him the look.
"What?" Miles is wondering about the look.
"Nothing, just that you doing it again." Ganke smiled at Miles.
"Doing what?" Miles is clueless.
"Doing that thing when you have a crush on someone. Be honest with me, you like that girl, don't you?" Ganke teased Miles.
Miles blushed looking nervous. "What? That's crazy, sure she's pretty, but we just meet. It was just luck we bumped into each other."
"Okay, if you say so." Ganke told Miles.
Miles ignored Ganke as he opens up his suitcase and pulled out his sketchbook where his drawings are kept, Ganke spotted it.
"Still drawing as always, I see." Ganke told Miles.
"Yeah, I might a bright kid, but my passion is in art. It was my Uncle Aaron who pushed me into it." Miles remembers Uncle Aaron.
"Oh yeah, that time you were ten and he took you out to teach you to draw graffiti art with the spray cans." Ganke told Miles.
"Yeah, it inspired me to draw." Miles smiles at that memory.
"Too bad your dad didn't like that when he found out. Not to mention that your uncle has had a few scrapes with the law." Ganke told Miles.
"Come on, Ganke, Uncle Aaron isn't really that bad." Miles defended his Uncle Aaron.
It's 10 PM at Rikers Prison, an 35 year old African American man is sitting inside his cell, this man's name is Aaron Davis, an inmate. He's waiting patiently until the guard came by and opens up the cells.
"Alright Davis, it's time!"
Aaron Davis got up and walked with the guards down the cellblock where all the inmates are still in the cells. Wilson Fisk who has been locked up for over a year is having an omelette he cooked, Aaron past by the cell and looked upon the Kingpin, Fisk looked back at Davis as he walks past his cell.
Aaron finally arrives to meet with the review board as he takes his seat facing the review board to determine if he is eligible to be released on parole or not.
"Please state your name for the record."
"Aaron Davis." Aaron told the board his name.
"Mr. Davis, you've been arrested and charged for breaking and entering, armed robbery, grand theft auto, and destruction of public property."
"Yeah, but no one got hurt and I wasn't going to shoot anyone, I ain't no killer, as for the grand theft auto, I didn't have a ride at the time, so I just... borrowed it, right until I crashed it into a telephone booth, not my finest hour." Aaron told them off his previous crimes.
"Mr. Davis, the reason for this board meeting is to determine that if you are released, are you likely to return to your old habits again?"
"I don't know, what does a guy with a criminal record do with his newfound freedom?" Aaron asking the board.
"So what would you do with your new life?"
Aaron remain silent to the review board as he has some ideas.
(Outside)
Later, Aaron Davis is all dressed up casually as he is walking towards the prison entrance, the doors are opening and he walked out the entrance and is finally released as he spotted someone very familiar waiting for him waving to him.
"Aaron!!!!" Hobie Brown smiles and waves to his friend.
Aaron smiled as he walked up to his friend Hobie Brown standing next to his SUV, they bumped fists and hugged each other.
"Hobie, my man, thanks for coming." Aaron hugging his friend.
"Good to see you on this side, homey." Hobie told Aaron.
"It's great to be out, on good behavior." Aaron told Hobie.
Hobie chuckles. "Come on, let's get the hell out of here."
Hobie and Aaron climbed into the SUV and left the prison as Aaron is now a free man on parole.
At Brooklyn Visions Academy, Miles is attending math class sitting with his pal Ganke as they're all doing their work, Miles looked back to see the girl he bumped into earlier, Anya Corazon, she's looking back him and smiled, Miles turns back looking nervous, one of the guys far behind him throws a paper ball and hits the back of his head, Miles got jumpy and stands up in front of the entire class.
"Mr. Morales, something on your mind?!"
"Ah, no." Miles told the teacher.
"Then please sit back down and finish your assignment."
Miles sits back down on his chair as turns to see one of the classmates responsible for throwing that paper ball, he was bullied.
(Midtown High)
At the same time, Peter is now 17 years old and a senior along with most of his friends, Peter is learning history taught by Roger Harrington, Peter is sitting alone as he looks at the chair next him all empty without Gwen Stacy who left New York months ago.
"Welcome back, seniors, I hoped your summer was very relaxing cause now you're all entering your final year here at Midtown High, let's make the best of this year before graduation day, cause all this will become memories." Roger Harrington tells his class.
Mary Jane is sitting with Harry Osborn as she spotted Peter being all alone these past months since Gwen left for London. Peter misses Gwen a lot since she's his first true love.
(London)
At the same time, there's a five hour time difference in London, Gwen Stacy is wearing the school uniform, she's in class attending secondary school with her cousin Jill as they listened to the teacher speaking. Gwen couldn't focus as she's has a lot on her mind, she's a 17 year old American girl from New York now living in England without any friends, she thinks about all the people she loved back home, her friends Mary Jane and Harry, but most of all her ex-boyfriend Peter Parker, the love of her live. Jill looks at her cousin to see that she's all quiet and distracted.
"Hey coz." Jill whispers to Gwen.
Gwen snapped out of her head and turns to her cousin Jill.
"You okay?" Jill asking her cousin.
"Yeah... I'm good." Gwen told Jill she's fine.
Gwen got back to listening class while she still thinks about Peter Parker, she misses him since they've parted ways months ago, they're no longer together due to fate separating them, but he still has a special place in her heart, he's her true love.
Meanwhile in an apartment complex in Brooklyn, Hobie opens up the door and both he and Aaron enters the apartment which is comfy enough for another person to stay in.
"Here we are, home sweet home." Hobie told Aaron.
"Thanks for giving me a place to stay. I'd would've gone to my brother's place but I think that my sister-in-law wouldn't like the idea of having a ex-convict in her home." Aaron told Hobie.
"It's no problem, homey, you can stay as long as you need." Hobie told Aaron.
"It's just until I can get a new job and I'm back up on my feet." Aaron told Hobie.
"Great, got any job in mind?" Hobie is curious.
"I got a job interview." Aaron told Hobie.
"As what exactly?" Hobie is wondering.
(Baskin Robbins)
Aaron is wearing a pink uniform using the name 'Jeff' and taking up the register asking the customer for his order.
"Hi, welcome to Baskin Robbins, what can I get you?" Aaron taking an order.
"Yeah, I'd like something mango flavored if you got any."
"Just what we got up on the menu, pal." Aaron told the customer.
The manager came out of the office looking at the new guy.
"Jeff, a word please."
Aaron is curious what this whole drama is all about as he left the customer and headed into the office.
"Have a seat, please."
Aaron took a seat as the manager has a folder in his hand.
"So... four years in Rikers, huh Jeff?" Or is it Aaron Davis."
Aaron looked shocked and kept his cool. "You found out."
"Baskin Robbins always finds out."
"Dang." Aaron has been exposed.
(Apartment)
Later Aaron just returned to the apartment after losing his job for about five minutes when his criminal past caught up to him, Hobie is watching TV as he turns to see his friend Aaron home so soon.
"Hey Aaron, I thought you were working?" Hobie is surprised.
"I was, I got fired." Aaron told Hobie.
"Dang, they find out?" Hobie told Aaron.
"Obviously." Aaron admitted to Hobie.
"Yeah, Baskin Robbins always finds out." Hobie told Aaron that same sentence.
"Thanks for letting me know." Aaron plays along.
"I'm sorry, I know that it can hard for guys like you and me getting a job because of our criminal past." Hobie told Aaron.
"Yeah, you don't seem to be doing too bad for an ex-con." Aaron looking around the apartment.
"The best I can do is drive around, I pretty much got an Uber service, or at least I had until I screwed that up very recently." Hobie told Aaron.
"What happened?" Aaron is curious.
"I picked up this English dude from the airport and drove him into the city, I noticed that he was carrying a briefcase and my ex-con habits kicked in. I stole that case only to find out that there's jack shit, and now I'm blacklisted from the Uber industry." Hobie told Aaron.
"Dang, sorry man." Aaron told Hobie.
"Don't worry, I'll find another job eventually, I'm sure you will too. By the way, have you got in touch with your family since you got out!" Hobie is wondering about Aaron's family.
"Nah, they don't know that I got out, I want it to be a surprise. I'll go see them tonight when my nephew Miles is home from school, I'm sure he'll be happy to see me, my brother too, Rio, I'm not so sure." Aaron told Hobie.
"Well, just in case you want to go see them, here." Hobie tossed Aaron his keys.
Aaron caught them in his hands, they're car keys to the SUV Hobie owns.
"The keys to your ride?" Aaron told Hobie.
"Yeah, I'd figured that you want to drive again after four years, you can borrow it anytime, just remember to fill it up with gas when you do." Hobie let's Aaron borrow his ride.
"Thanks homey, for everything." Aaron is grateful to Hobie.
"That's what friends are for." Hobie told Aaron.
It's 3:50 PM at Chinatown, at the homeless shelter called F.E.A.S.T., May is now the manager and owner of this establishment since Martin Li left it to her after his arrest, she's leading the employees in doing their jobs.
"Be sure that everyone gets a decent meal, we don't want anyone to go hungry, do we?" May leading the shelter.
"Of course not."
"Okay, let's get to work, people." May tells her employees.
Everyone is getting busy as Rio Morales came into the shelter and meets up with May Parker, Rio is volunteering her services for the shelter.
"Rio, thank you for coming. How is your day?" May asking Rio.
"It's great, my son is starting his new life at the school, at Brooklyn Visions Academy." Rio told May.
"I know that school, I once consider sending Peter there, but my nephew didn't want to part ways with his friends, so we sent him to Midtown Science High, which is a pretty good school." May told Rio.
"I heard that it's doing better since it's where Spider-Man was born, the school became pretty famous around New York, even the students there are big supporters of the hero." Rio told May.
"Yeah, Spider-Man has made a big difference in everyone's lives." May is proud of her nephew Peter.
"Well, I should get to work. Nice talking to you, Mrs. Parker." Rio told May.
"You too, Rio." May told Rio.
Rio walked away as Mary Jane walked past her and towards May without Peter.
"Mary Jane, where's Peter." May is curious.
"I don't know, he's probably out there doing his neighborhood duties." Mary Jane made a guess.
May sighed. "I'm very worried for him, he's been too busy ever since..."
"Yeah, since Gwen left. He's all alone doing hero work without a partner, I'm worried about him too." Mary Jane tells May.
"If you see him, tell him that I'd like to talk to him." May ask Mary Jane to tell Peter.
"Sure thing, Mrs. Parker. I'll do that." Mary Jane agrees for May.
Mary Jane walks away and let's May get back to managing the shelter, Mary Jane is worried for Peter since he hardly hangs around his friends anymore due to his duties as Spider-Man.
Later at the Spider-Cave, music is being played around as Peter is busy working on the Spider-Mobile that he built out of the Dune Buggy that Uncle Ben stored in the garage, Peter had it moved to the Spider-Cave to do some modifications to it using resources provided by Stark Industries. The Spider-Mobile is incomplete but Spidey has colored it red and blue like his suit, he twisting the bolt with the wrench and building up a sweat, his skin cover in black grease. Mary Jane just came into the lair and finds Peter working on the Spider-Mobile, she turns off the music and got Peter's attention as he sees Mary Jane.
"Oh, hey MJ." Peter wipes his hands with a rag.
"Hey Tiger, I figure that I'd find you here. I see that you're still working on that piece of junk." Mary Jane told Peter.
"Hey, this ain't a piece of junk, my uncle bought this years ago from a junkyard and we would work together as a project." Peter told Mary Jane.
"I know, don't forget that I've lived next door to your house and knows what goes on in your garage. I know that you've been keeping yourself pretty busy in these past months since..." Mary Jane told Peter.
"Since Gwen left? I have to, this city still needs a hero to protect it now more than ever, after that incident with Mister Negative, not to mention the world almost coming to an end again, crime has been on the rise and I'm stretching myself covering too much territory, I don't have time for a normal life these days." Peter explained to Mary Jane.
"That's what worries me, even your aunt is very worried. Look Tiger, I know that you have so much responsibilities on your hands, but even you're entitled to have a life beyond the suit." Mary Jane tells Peter.
"I did, Gwen was my reason for having a life, but now she's not here, she's about 35000 miles across the ocean living in another country." Peter told Mary Jane.
"I know, Tiger. It's not fair losing Gwen like that. You both deserve better." Mary Jane tells Peter.
"Thanks, speaking of relationships, what about you and Flash? I thought you two would be dating these days?" Peter is curious about Mary Jane and Flash.
"About that... we're... well... we called it quits." Mary Jane confessed to Peter.
Peter is surprised by this news. "You two broke up?!"
"Come on, Tiger, we had a good thing going, had some laughs and some fun, but we knew that it wouldn't last. We did end it on good terms though." Mary Jane explained about the breakup.
Peter sighed. "Sorry I asked, MJ."
"Don't worry about it, when it comes to me, relationships never last long." Mary Jane tells Peter.
"Yeah, I can relate." Peter knows what that's like.
Peter and Mary Jane both have bad luck when it comes to romantic relationships ending for a short time, Peter's dues to his double life as Spider-Man, and Mary Jane still haunted by the scars of her parents failed marriage.
"Well... see ya, Tiger. Oh, and May wants to talk to you in person, just so you know." Mary Jane told Peter.
"Thanks, I'll see her when I get the chance." Peter appreciates Mary Jane.
"See ya, tomorrow, Tiger." Mary Jane told Peter before she left.
Peter watched as Mary Jane is walking away, he thought he was the only one with relationship issues, now Mary Jane is single just like he is. He throws away the rag and walks up to the glass cases where all his suits are stored, including the one that once belonged to Ghost-Spider, his partner. He focused on Ghost-Spider's suit as it reminds him of his great love, Gwen Stacy.
Peter sighed. "I missed you, Gwen."
Peter walked up to the supercomputer and types in his email address to access his email account, he's been in touch with Gwen writing through the email, he has his hands on the keyboards as he became hesitant to say anything to Gwen.
"Okay Pete, write something." Peter talking to himself.
(London)
At the house of Arthur Stacy and his family, Gwen is in her room looking at her computer accessing her email hoping to hear back from Peter Parker, but she hasn't gotten any messages back from him.
"Please Pete, write back to me." Gwen is waiting for Peter's reply.
(New York City)
Peter was about to write something until his supercomputer got an alert of a crime activity happening right now, he pulls back and went to fetch his suit from his backpack.
(London)
Gwen is still waiting patiently for Peter to write back, but still nothing, Jill came by Gwen's room to find her cousin on the computer.
"Hey, dinner is ready." Jill told Gwen.
"Thanks, I'll be right there." Gwen told Jill.
Gwen closes her laptop and walked out of her bedroom as she didn't hear back from Peter nor did she write back to him.
It's 6:45 PM back in Brooklyn, Miles stopped by his parents house to check up on his folks after his day of school and having dinner his mother cooked up of Puerto Rican cuisine.
"So how is the new school, Hijo?" Rio asking her son.
"It's not bad, at least I have Ganke as my roommate." Miles told his mother.
"Is that the only reason you're adjusting to the school?" Jefferson sensed something else.
"Yeah, what else could it be?" Miles looking nervous on that subject.
The doorbell is ringing as their conversation got cut short and Miles was saved by the bell.
"I got this!" Miles got up and walked.
Miles walked up to the front door and opened up only to be surprised by who's here at the front door.
"Uncle Aaron?!" Miles smiled in excitement.
"Look out ladies, the Davis boys are back together again!" Aaron smiled at his family.
Miles and Aaron hugged each other, Jefferson is happy to see his little brother again, Rio on the other hand is stunned and surprised to see her brother-in-law here and out of prison.
"Aaron?! My god, when did you get out?!" Jefferson is happy to see his brother.
"Just this morning, I wanted to surprise you all. My god Miles, look how you've grown." Aaron tells Miles.
"Hey, it's been four years, I wasn't going to stay the same forever." Miles told his uncle.
"Well the last time I saw you, you were still in diapers." Aaron teases Miles.
"Hey, no jokes, I was only ten at the time." Miles corrects his uncle.
Aaron and Jefferson laughed at that joke, Aaron then turns to see his sister-in-law Rio Morales who didn't greet him much since he came here.
"What's up, Rio! Miss me?" Aaron tells Rio.
"I wouldn't have to miss you if you didn't break into someone's house and went to prison." Rio told Aaron.
"My bad, but seriously, until you learn to accept and love me as your brother-in-law, I got enough love for both us, sister-in-law." Aaron tells Rio.
"Alright, knock it off, Aaron. It's good to see you again, I hope that you're out on good behavior." Jefferson tells Aaron.
"Of course, just I'm still on parole and I have to report to my PO ever now and then." Aaron tells his brother.
"And where are you going to be staying? Not here, I hope." Rio tells Aaron.
"Not to worry, Chica, I'm crashing with my man Hobie, remember him?" Aaron told his family.
"Your old gangster buddy Hobie Brown, still hanging out with a bad crowd I see." Jefferson tells his brother.
"So did you back in the old days, or did you forget?" Aaron tells his brother.
"Nah, just turned my life around and married a wonderful woman." Jefferson told his brother.
"And you got a great son who takes his mother's last name, your kid has great skills in art." Aaron complement Miles's skill in drawing.
"Thanks to you teaching to draw on public walls, not a good example you're setting for your nephew." Rio told Aaron.
"Look, as much as fun it is to reminisce the old times, Miles needs to get back to school before the curfew. Come on, Miles, time to head back." Jefferson tells his son.
"Hold up, why don't I drive him back to school?" Aaron is volunteering to drive Miles back.
"You got a car?" Miles is surprised.
"An SUV, Hobie's actually, borrowed it." Aaron told Miles.
"Thank you, no!" Rio is against this idea.
"Come on, let me do something for my nephew, I promise to have him there before curfew. Just give me a chance, bro." Aaron asking his brother.
Jefferson sighed. "Fine, he goes to Brooklyn Vision Academy, I assume you heard of it?"
"Dang, that prestigious school, he got in?" Aaron is surprised.
"By lottery, luckily." Miles reminded everyone.
"Okay then. Ready to go, Miles?" Aaron asking his nephew.
"Ready, let's go. Bye mom, bye dad!" Miles waving to his parents.
"Bye Mijo!" Rio waves to her son
"Bye son!" Jefferson also waved to his son.
Miles left with Aaron as Jefferson and Rio watched and stayed behind, Rio couldn't help but being worried about her brother-in-law Aaron.
"I still don't like Miles getting along with your brother." Rio told her husband.
"Look, Aaron ain't no saint, that's a given. But he does love Miles like a son, and that's enough for me." Jefferson vouches for his brother.
Rio sighed. "Yeah, that's true."
Somewhere in Brooklyn, the sun has already set down as an SUV is driving through the neighborhood, Miles is in the passenger seat as Uncle Aaron is taking him back to school. Unknown to anyone, the spider is still camouflaged and climbing up the passenger seat Miles is sitting on.
"So how's the new school?" Aaron is driving.
"It's okay, I wanted to go to a regular school, but I got lucky thanks to the lottery and I got sent to Brooklyn Visions Academy instead, at least I got my best bud Ganke by my side." Miles explained about the school.
"That's cool, so any luck with the girls?" Aaron asking about Miles's dating life.
"Girls?" Miles got nervous.
"Come on, you're fourteen years old and you're at that age where you get curious about girls. So you like anyone in particular?" Aaron asking Miles.
"Well... I did bump into this girl by accident." Miles told his uncle.
"Is she cute?" Aaron asking Miles.
"She's seems nice and smart." Miles told Aaron.
"And cute?" Aaron teased Miles.
"Yeah, she's cute." Miles rolled his eyes and smiled.
"Way to go, nephew! You definitely got the charm for a kid your age." Aaron is proud for Miles.
"Oh stop it." Miles felt embarrassed.
Aaron is passing by a store that sells Spider-Man merchandise, Aaron heard the tales about a vigilante dressed in red and blue kicking the butts of criminals.
"So this Spider-Guy is for real, huh?" Aaron asking Miles
"It's Spider-Man, you heard of him?" Miles says to Aaron.
"I heard about the guy from inmates who already made his acquaintance, I always thought he was a myth." Aaron told Miles.
"No, he's very real, he once saved an entire school couple years ago, since then he's gone around taking down criminals and saving lives, he even saved the world twice with the other heroes." Miles told Aaron.
"Sound like you're a fan." Aaron is amazed by how much Miles speaks of Spider-Man.
"Who isn't? This guy is my hero." Miles admires Spider-Man.
"So do you still draw?" Aaron asking Miles.
"Always, I still know how to draw with spray cans. What about you, now that you're out, you got any work?" Miles is wondering.
"I did, I worked at Baskin Robbins for like five minutes, right until they found out about my criminal records." Aaron told Miles.
"Sorry things didn't work out, Baskin Robbins always finds out." Miles told Aaron.
Aaron rolled his eyes as he had to hear that same sentence again. The SUV finally arrived and drove up to the entrance of Brooklyn Visions Academy.
"Okay, he were are." Aaron told Miles.
"Thanks for the ride, Uncle." Miles thanked Aaron.
"Anytime... Miles, you know that you're lucky that you have good parents who wanted to give you a good life, not everyone is that fortunate, you have a great future ahead of you, stay true to who you are." Aaron gave Miles advice.
"I will, I promise." Miles told Aaron.
Miles got off the SUV and waved back to his uncle.
"See you around, Uncle Aaron." Miles told his uncle.
"You too." Aaron told Miles.
The SUV drove away as Miles heads back into the school, unknown to him a spider is stuck on his back as he enters the building. Miles walks up the stairs and finally arrived at his dorm room to find his best bud Ganke working with LEGOs building what appears to be a Death Star.
"Still playing with LEGOs?" Miles asking Ganke.
"I'm building with LEGOs, still halfway to finish completely the Death Star. How are your folks?" Ganke asking Miles.
"There fine, missed my moms cooking, oh and Uncle Aaron gave me a ride back here." Miles told Ganke.
"Uncle Aaron? He got out?" Ganke is surprised.
"Surprise!" Miles smiled at Ganke.
"How did your parents take it?" Ganke is curious.
"My dad seemed happy to see him, my mom, not so much. Okay, I'm going to go brush my teeth and then hit the bed." Miles told Ganke.
Miles went into the small bathroom as he picked up his grabbed the toothbrush and apply the toothpaste over it, Miles started brushing his teeth, the spider on his back is climbing up to his neck. Miles put some water in his mouth as he swirls it around mixing it with toothpaste, he gargles it as the spider finally reached his neck and bits him, Miles felt the bite and spits on the mirror making a mess.
"Ow! What the?" Miles felts the pain.
Miles hits the back of his neck and kills whatever bit him, he got a hold of something and pulls his hand back to hold what appears to be a spider, dead now thanks to him.
"A spider?" Miles is confused.
Miles messed up the mirror with his toothpaste spit, he grabbed the towel and wipes it off. He walks out of the bathroom as he's felt dizzy in the head from the spider bite, Ganke noticed Miles not looking too good.
"You okay?" Ganke being worried.
"Yeah, just need to lie down." Miles felt dizzy.
"Okay, guess I'll see you in the morning then. Goodnight Miles." Ganke told Miles.
"You too." Miles told Ganke.
Miles climbed on top to his bed and cover himself in the blanket, he got himself some sleep as he's feeling the changes happening to his body as a result of that singe spider bite, his whole life is about to change forever.
It's now September 8th, 7 AM, the alarm clock went off, Ganke is the first one to wake up as he get up from the bottom bunk, he noticed that Miles is still asleep in his too bunk.
"Miles, it's morning, time to wake up!" Ganke tells Miles.
Ganke went to the bathroom to brush, Miles removes the blanket and was invisible until he fully wakes up and he sudden he isn't, Miles stretches his arms up in the air, he didn't know that he was camouflaging unconsciously in his sleep. Ganke got out of the bathroom as he's finished brushing his teeth and all dressed up for school.
"Okay, I'm done, bathroom's yours." Ganke told Miles.
Miles got off and jumped down as he walks inside the bathroom and picked up his toothbrush, he picked up the toothpaste but he squeezed it as he used too much force in his hands, the paste got stuck on the mirror as he uses his toothbrush to collect some off the mirror. Miles brushed his teeth off with paste and put some water in his mouth, he rinsed and gargles before he spits it in the sink. Miles finished brushing as he puts away the toothbrush but finds himself unable to part with it, the toothbrush is stuck on his hands as he attempts to take it off by force. He used his other hand to pull it off and remained confused as to what happened all of sudden, he check his hand.
"What the..." Miles is very confused.
"Miles, get dressed, class is about to start soon!" Ganke talking outside the bathroom.
"Coming!" Miles told Ganke.
Miles is confused as to what is going on with himself, he felt different than ever before since last night. Miles unknowingly gained the power of a spider just like Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider.
At the same time in the city at the 13th precinct, the place is now under the management of Yuri Watanabe who is now a captain after the death of George Stacy, Jefferson Davis enters the precinct as Captain Watanabe noticed it.
"You're early." Yuri tells Jefferson.
"Is that bad." Jefferson is wondering.
"No, you usually come in the precinct later on." Yuri told Jefferson.
"That was before when I had to take my son to school." Jefferson told Yuri.
"I see, well it's good that you're here early, the whole NYPD has been pretty busy these past few months, still dealing with criminals filling in the power vacuum Martin Li and Wilson Fisk left behind, the whole five boroughs is experiencing the same problem. Not even Spider-Man is enough to solve everything at once." Yuri told Jefferson.
"Used to be that Spider-Man had a partner, this Ghost-Spider. She disappeared after that war in Brooklyn Chinatown months ago." Jefferson remembers that incident.
"Yeah, the night that Captain Stacy lost his life." Yuri remembers the tragedy of George Stacy.
"I miss him." Jefferson is sadden.
"Me too, he was the best cop I've ever known. But we must carry on and protect this city he risked his life to save. Now it's up to us to help make New York safe like he did." Yuri told Jefferson.
Jefferson salutes to Yuri. "Yes Captain Watanabe."
Yuri salutes back. "Carry on, Sergeant Davis."
Jefferson went to work as Yuri is leading the precinct that is now hers to command, everyone is carrying on George's mission to protect this city he gave his life for.
Later back in Brooklyn Visions Academy, Miles is attending class with Ganke as they're listening to the teacher teaching life science, today's subject is on the different species of spiders.
"There are many different species of spiders in the world, each has their own characteristics and special trait that differs from the other, some can sense danger before it happen, other that can camouflage itself in their environment, and those that can produce a special kind of electricity from their bodies."
Miles is listening to the teacher talking about spiders, he had a recent experience with one last night, he puts his hand behind his neck to feel the spider bite it left on his skin. One of the kids from before has another paper ball in his hand and tossed it at Miles while he wasn't looking. Miles got a tingling feeling in his head as he used his hand and quickly caught the paper ball in his hand before it could hit him, everyone in class is amazed by how Miles suddenly caught it without looking, even Miles himself is surprised, the teacher noticed that someone threw a paper ball at a student.
"Who threw that?"
"He did!" Anya pointed out towards the one who tossed it.
"You, wait outside the class, we'll discuss your punishment later."
The bully that tossed the ball is mad at Anya for narcing him out to the teacher, he's even mad at Miles for catching that ball and starting this whole problem. Miles looks back at Anya for helping him out, he smiled at her and she smiled back. The teacher watched as the troubled student walked out and he turns back to class.
"Okay, shall we continue?"
Sometime later as the school bell rang, everyone is hanging around campus and some are going out elsewhere, Miles and Ganke are walking out together.
"Wow, that was impressive. Nice reflexes." Ganke is impressed.
"Thanks." Miles still felt confused.
"Hey you!"
Miles and Ganke turns back to see the bully with his friends as he ain't looking too happy with Miles.
"Now what's your problem?" Miles asking the bully.
"My problem is that because of you and that Latina, I got suspended for a week!"
"Hey, you're the one who started that problem by messing with my friend Miles." Ganke told the bully.
"Not only did I started it, we're going to finish it right here and now!"
"Miles, run!" Ganke told Miles.
Miles doesn't know how to fight as he runs away as the bullies chased after him, Miles is running fast than he's ever done before, the bullies are having a hard time catching up to him.
"Damn, he's fast!"
Miles tries to lose them in an alley but he ended up in a dead end, Miles could hear them coming, he gets very nervous as he's about to get beat up by bullies. Miles unconsciously camouflages himself and turns invisible. The bullies arrived at an alleyway but finds no sign of Miles Morales. Miles is still cloaked as the bullies couldn't see him, they left the alley and searched elsewhere for him. Miles is confused as to why the bullies didn't find when he was right there before their eyes.
"What's wrong with them? Are they blind or something?" Miles is confused.
Miles checks himself to see that there's nothing left of him, he got freaked out and turns back visible, Miles finds out that he somehow turns himself invisible.
"What the?" Miles is even more confused than ever.
Miles holds out his hands and tries to tap into his fear, he camouflages himself again, then he turns back visible.
"How in the world can I do that?" Miles is wondering,
He looks up at the fire escape and finds a web with a spider crawling on it, he suddenly remembers last night that spider bit him in the neck and he felt sick, then this morning he felt himself differently than ever before, that spider bite somehow gave him powers like Spider-Man, but with an added power.
"Am I like? Could I?" Miles is wondering.
Miles decided to test out his new abilities as he got his hand on the wall, it cling, he then used his other hand and it cling too, he started to climb up the wall and keeps on climbing until he realizes that he's got powers like Spider-Man, he looks back down to the ground and smiles.
"Whooo!!!" Miles yells out.
Miles climbed onto a rooftop and runs across it, he then leaps off and jumps across to another building without difficulty, he then made it back to see Brooklyn Visions Academy from another building, Miles is too happy.
"Wow! This is so awesome!" Miles likes his new gifts.
Later, Miles is cloaking himself and climbs up the wall towards his dorm room without anyone down below noticing it, he opens up the window and climbs on inside onto the ceiling and stopped cloaking, he kept on crawling and jumps down to the floor standing. Miles smiles as he turns around to find his friend Ganke here with the LEGO Death Star, he missed Ganke sitting at the bed without him noticing it. Ganke is stunned by what he just witnessed, his best friend crawling on the ceiling, he suddenly drop the LEGO Death Star on the floor and it broke into pieces.
"You... you..." Ganke is still in shock.
"Ganke..." Miles tries talking with him.
"You..." Ganke suddenly faints and falls down on the floor.
Miles sighed. "Way to go, Miles.
Much later at 4:50 PM, Miles slapped Ganke to wake him up from his faintness, Ganke is woken up and sees Miles before him.
"Ganke, you're awake." Miles tells Ganke.
"Yeah, I had this crazy dream that you were crawling on the ceiling." Ganke thought it was a dream.
"No, you weren't dreaming, I did crawl on the ceiling." Miles confessed the truth.
"No way... are you... Spider-Man?" Ganke asking Miles.
"Yes... I mean no... well kinda." Miles getting mixed up in his words.
"Okay, I'm confused." Ganke told Miles.
"Yeah, me too." Miles is confused too.
"How did this happen?" Ganke is curious.
"Come, I'll show you." Miles told Ganke.
Miles lead Ganke to the bathroom where the dead spider that bit him last night remained near the sink, Ganke looks at the spider.
"A spider?" Ganke is confused.
"Yeah, it bit me last night, all of a sudden I got sick, next morning I woke up and felt different than ever before. I think that this spider bite somehow gave me powers like Spider-Man." Miles theorized to Ganke.
"Wow, that's cool. So you can do everything Spider-Man can?" Ganke is amazed by Miles's new gifts.
"Yeah, except for the web shooting part, I don't know how he does it." Miles admits to Ganke.
"So where does the webs come from?" Ganke is curious.
"I think that it comes from the wrist, haven't you seen the videos on YouTube." Miles told Ganke.
"So besides the wrists, do the webs come out of any part of your body, like your butt?" Ganke asking Miles.
"Oh no! I don't think so, at least I hope not!" Miles told Ganke.
"So now that you have these powers, what are you going to do with them?" Ganke is curious as to Miles's intention with his gifts.
"For so long, I've admire Spider-Man, I never imagine that I would end up becoming like Spider-Man. He made a big difference in everyone's lives. So I'm going to use these power to help people like he did." Miles thought about being a hero.
"So you're going to be a hero like Spider-Man?" Ganke asking Miles.
"Why not?" Miles made up his mind.
"Well, if you're going to be doing this, then you'll need a suit." Ganke suggested to Miles.
"Yeah, good point. I think I could make a suit out of something. In the meantime, do you still know your way around with a computer?" Miles asking Ganke.
"Yeah, why?" Ganke told Miles.
"Do you think you can tap into the police scanners and emergency dispatches to find any activities that might require a hero?" Miles asking Ganke for his expertise in computers.
Ganke sighed. "Give me an hour or two."
"Thanks, in the meantime, I'll start making a suit." Miles told Ganke.
Miles went through the closet to find some clothes, hoping to find something suited to make a suit for himself, he found a black turtleneck tracksuit with red stripes on the sides.
(Later)
It's 6:15 PM, Ganke is using his computer skills to tap into the NYPD police scanners, meanwhile Miles is making himself a suit out of a tracksuit as he paints a red spider in the middle to make it more like Spider-Man, Miles finished making the suit as he holds it up.
"There, all finished." Miles holds up the suit.
Ganke finished typing as he got into the NYPD and emergency dispatch without them knowing, Ganke is a computer prodigy.
"There, all finished." Ganke succeeded in hacking.
"Wow, you're a whiz with a computer." Miles complemented Ganke's abilities with the computer.
"Thank you for the compliment... Wait, I think we got something happening right now." Ganke moves the arrow.
Ganke and Miles tapped into emergency dispatch and listened in on the call.
"911 emergency?"
"I need help, a couple of cars crashed into each other at the corner of 41st Street and 7th avenue, there's gasoline spilled on the ground and I think the cars are both about to catch fire soon, send the fire department immediately!"
"That's not far from here, I can get there in time!" Miles told Ganke.
"Miles, you're still new to this! Are you sure you're up to it?!" Ganke has some doubts.
"Ganke, I can't just sit back and do nothing, someone is in danger right now. I have to do this!" Miles made up his mind.
Ganke knows that Miles is still new to this whole superhero business since he just got his power last night and has no experience in this life, but he could tell that Miles has made up his mind and nothing will change it.
Ganke sighed. "Go... be careful out there."
Miles smiled that Ganke finally agreed to let him do this, Miles picked up his new suit that he made out a black tracksuit. He went inside the bathroom and dressed himself up in his new suit that is a modified black and red tracksuit with a red spider in the middle, he wears a ski mask with red shades built in as his eyes. Ganke is waiting outside as Miles came back out now in his new suit.
"Wow!" Ganke is amazed.
"What do you think?" Miles asking Ganke for his opinion.
"It's definitely you." Ganke smiled and gave Miles a thumbs up.
Miles cloaks himself right before Ganke's eye as he climbs out of the windows and manages to sneak out of the school without anyone seeing him.
Minutes later at the corner of 41st and 7th, two cars crashed into each other as both drivers are unconscious and gasoline is spilled on the ground, some people are getting worried for the drivers in both cars trapped inside.
"We have to do something!"
We can't, there's gasoline on the ground and any one of these cars can end up throwing in sparks anytime soon, it's too dangerous, we should wait for the fire department to arrive!"
"They might not make it in time, besides, there's a child in the back with the woman unconscious! Is there anyone who can save them?!"
"I can!" Miles yells out.
Everyone turns around to find what appears to be a superhero dressed in black and red.
"Who are you?"
"Just someone here to help. Allow me to get to it!" Miles told the crowd.
"Well hurry up, any one of those cars will set off a spark that will blow them both!"
"I'm on it!" Miles told the crowd.
Miles rushed towards the cars and went for the nearest one, he found the male driver unconscious from the impact, he then used his new strength to pull the driver door off hard as everyone is surprised by how strong he is, he tossed the door aside and went to pick up the driver and rushed him away towards safety with the crowd.
"Tend to him!" Miles asking the crowd.
Miles rushed back to the other car and finds a woman inside unconscious, he ripped the car door off and tossed it aside, he picked up the woman in his arms and carried here to safety. Miles dropped her off with the other guy as she's waking up.
"What? What happened?"
"It's okay, you're safe." Miles told the woman.
"Where's my son?!"
"Your son?!" Miles is confused.
"Mom!!!"
Everyone looked back at the car to see that there's a boy still trapped in the back, one of the cars started to spark out, but it only hits the hood and not the gasoline lucky.
"No!!!"
"You can't, that car can blow up anytime!"
"Don't worry, I got this!" Miles rushed back.
"Save my boy, please!!!!"
Miles jumped up onto the back of the car where the big is trapped, the kid got started by the appearance of someone new.
"It's okay, I'm going to get you out of here! Stand back, I'm going break the windshield." Miles told the boy.
The boy move aside as Miles used his fist to break the windshield down hard and made an opening, Miles extended his hand to the boy.
"Okay, take my hand. I'll get you out, I promise!" Miles told the boy.
The boy took the hero's hand and Miles pull him gently out of the back, he took the boy in his arms. But his spider sense tingles strongly as the car threw in more sparks, one of them is heading to the gasoline. Miles quickly jumps away with the boy as the spark touched the gas, both cars blew up right before everyone's eyes, including the mother who screamed out in fear.
"No!!!!!"
Both cars are on fire, the mother mourned as her son was there with the hero right before there cars blew up, she's cried in sadness.
"Mom!!!"
The mother heard her son's voice as emerging out of the smoke, Miles is carrying the boy to his mother, she rushed to their side as Miles hands her son back to her, she hugged her son in relief that he is alive and unharmed.
"God bless you, hero, thank you!"
Everyone around the area looks upon the mysterious hero who saved three lives today, Miles is amazed that he saved some lives for the first time. Everyone is recording and taking pictures of the mysterious hero who then rushed away and started climbing up the walls like Spider-Man, Miles made it to the rooftop and left the scene.
At the same time at F.E.A.S.T., May is leading the shelter as many employees are preparing the bunks for the homeless spending the night, Peter came by the shelter and May spotted him walking towards her.
"Peter, finally you came. I thought you were too busy to make time for your dear old aunt. Please follow me to my office." May told Peter.
Peter followed May to her office that was used to belong to Martin Li, now it's hers. The TV in the office is still on, Peter and May have some privacy to talk about his life as Spider-Man.
"MJ gave me your message yesterday, told me that you're both worried for me." Peter told May.
"We are, we hardly see you much anymore." May told Peter.
"You've seen me at home." Peter told May.
"Hardly, you usually head for school and we both have busy schedules, but I'm more worried about how much you're pushing yourself these past months." May told Peter.
"With Gwen gone, I had become Spider-Man full time to keep the city safe, and after the Ultron incident, I had to push myself even harder than ever. I just don't have the time for a normal life, Aunt May." Peter told May.
"Peter, I admire what you're doing, and I'm proud that you're taking on so much responsibilities." May told Peter.
"But?" Peter wants to hear more.
"But you don't have to do everything alone, even you need some help. You really do need a partner." May suggested to Peter.
"I had one, she's living in Jolly Old London. Where am I going to find someone like me to partner up?" Peter asking May.
May is looking at the TV behind Peter as it shows something of interests that he'll be very interested in seeing, she became shocked what she's seeing.
"Uh Peter, you better look at the TV." May points to the TV behind Peter.
Peter turns around and sees breaking news about an event that happened in Brooklyn concerning a hero dressed in black the media dubbed 'Brooklyn Spider-Man.'
"Breaking news, approximately at 6:44 PM,an unknown vigilante swooped in and saved three lives from cars blowing up, we have received footage taken by smartphone of the hero climbing up walls, whoever this individual is shares characteristics similar to that of Spider-Man. Could New York have another spider hero in the neighborhood?"
Peter is shocked to see that this unknown hero can climb up walls like he can, his suit is nearly similar to his own, Peter is curious who this new spider guy is.
"Did you know anything about another spider hero in the city?" May is wondering.
"No, this came as a surprise to me too. Whoever he is, I better find him." Peter told May.
Peter is leaving the office as he wants to seek out his mysterious spider hero roaming around Brooklyn, May is happy that there's another spider hero just like him and Gwen out there, Peter might've found a potential partner to replace Ghost-Spider and help him in his quest as a hero.
Back at Brooklyn Visions Academy, Ganke is watching the news on the laptop of Miles Morales rescuing several lives from certain death, he gained some recognition as the Brooklyn Spider-Man.
"Who is this new Spider-Man? Could this new hero have any ties to Spider-Man or Ghost-Spider? Only time will tell, but Brooklyn is lucky enough to have their own Spider-Man helping the neighborhood."
The dorm room window opens as Miles is still invisible and climbs up inside, he stopped cloaking and appears right before Ganke's eyes and spooked him by his sudden appearance.
"Easy Ganke, it's just me." Miles takes off the mask.
"I'm just not used to you appearance out of thin air like that! It's spooked me!" Ganke told Miles.
"Sorry... by the way, did you see what I just did out there?" Miles is wondering if Ganke saw it.
"Yeah, everyone saw it, it's on the news and the internet, check this out on YouTube." Ganke is typing the keyboard.
Ganke is accessing YouTube and typed in 'Brooklyn Spider-Man,' and he clicked on one of the videos showing one of the people who were there, Miles and Ganke watched together.
"This was so epic! This guy came just in the Nick of Time and rushed to save them! This guy is so strong, he just ripped the door off like paper! It's about time our neighborhood got its own hero!"
"Wow, you gained some recognition after one day. How was it out there?" Ganke asking Miles.
"To be honest, I wasn't sure what I was doing, but one thing for sure is that what I did was right, it felt great." Miles told Ganke.
"You saved several lives today, I think that spider chose you, think you were destined to be a hero." Ganke told Miles.
Miles smiled at the compliment his friend gave him, before he was just a normal artistic kid living in Brooklyn, now he's become something more. Ganke and Miles heard something on the police scanners on Ganke's laptop.
"Attention all units, a woman has been abducted in Brighton Beach, kidnappers are suspected to be members of the Tombstone gang based out of a warehouse on the corner of Neptune and W 21st street, proceed with caution."
"Looks like I'm getting into the action again." Miles is eager for more adventure.
"Whoa, I don't think this is a good idea, saving lives from cars blowing up is one thing, but fight off criminals is another. You might not be ready for that yet." Ganke told Miles.
"So what do you suggest? Let's the cops or Spider-Man handle this?" Miles told Ganke.
"Actually, yes!" Ganke told Miles.
"There's no guarantees that Spider-Man will even come, besides he's probably patrolling New York City taking on some criminals. I'm the closet one nearby, I have to do this. So wish me luck!" Miles puts his mask on again.
"Good luck!" Ganke told Miles.
Miles turns back invisible and jumps out the window heading out towards danger again, Mile landed on the ground and found a truck heading towards the road leading to Brighton Beach, he runs up and jumps on top hitching a ride.
Later in Brighton Beach at the corner of Neptune and W 21st street, the cops has the place surround as gangsters are firing back against the cops, Tombstone is inside the building looking down at the conflict happening outside. Tombstone went back to the men who abducted the woman tied up to a chair.
"This is quite a show you both put on taking this woman and bringing her here." Tombstone isn't too pleased with his men.
"Sorry Mr. Tombstone, we just left the bar and found this hot babe cruising around the streets at night, we couldn't help it."
"And now you brought the cops right to our doorsteps. Not too smart for a henchmen."
"I apologize sir, it was..."
Tombstone grabbed the man's throat and cut off his sentence, the man is getting held up and choked, Tombstone uses his strength to break the man's neck easy and drops him dead on the ground, the other guy got frightened by his buddy killed by the boss.
"Let this be a reminder what happens if any of you step out of line again! Is that clear?!" Tombstone is intimidating the guy.
"Yes boss."
(Outside)
The police are having a hard time trying to get inside as the goons are formidable foes armed with automatic weapons and explosives. Miles finally made it to the scene to see the police are pinned down and unable to advance into the warehouse.
"Dang, looks like the cops are having trouble getting inside. But not me, they'll never see me coming." Miles talking to himself.
Miles cloaked himself and proceeded in infiltrating the compound undetected, hoping to the catch the criminals by surprise.
(Brooklyn)
Spider-Man is swinging through Brooklyn hoping to find a lead on this new Spider-Man, he stopped himself on a rooftop after spending half an hour scouting around Brooklyn.
"Still no sign of this new Spider-Man. Wait, why am I calling him that, I'm Spider-Man! This is so confusing and you're talking to yourself, Spidey. What's really eating you up, that you can find this Spider-Guy or that he's taking up your name? This is really getting to me." Spider-Man says in his thoughts.
His suit's visor has tapped into the police scanners and listened in on a crime activity happening in Brooklyn.
"Units at the corner of Neptune and W 21st are pinned down by the Tombstone gang, requesting immediate assistance."
Spider-Man has got a location on crime activity happening at Brighton Beach.
"If this guys is anything like me, then he'll likely be there handling the situation, but either way, I can't ignore this." Spider-Man talking to himself in his thoughts.
Spider-Man jumps off the rooftop and heads towards Brighton Beach to aid the cops in taking down the Tombstone gang.
(Brighton Beach)
Back at the hideout of Tombstone and his gang, the guys shooting guns from the windows are keeping the cops pinned down. The cops are unable to advance forward, but something unexpected happened as the shooters are being taken down one by one, the cops on the ground are confused as to what is happening inside. Back inside the building, the shooters are knocked out cold by Miles who helped the cops out of a jam.
"That takes care of the shooters, now to find the hostage." Miles told himself.
Miles proceeded ahead to find the hostage, he remains undetected as he finds a room with Tombstone and at least a dozen men, a woman is tied up to the chair. Miles is cloaked as no one in the room is aware that he is here hiding in plain sight, Tombstone looks out the window to see that the cops are slowly approaching the building.
"What happened to our shooters?!" Tombstone is panicking.
"I don't know, boss. They were throwing shots and all of a sudden, they've stopped."
"This is bad, time to improvise." Tombstone is getting desperate.
Tombstone walks over to the woman and rips the ropes tying her to the chair off, he grabbed her arm and pulled her up, she's looks frightened by what he has planned for her, Miles is invisible and looked at the woman is in danger.
"The cops better back off, otherwise she's dead!" Tombstone threatens the woman's life.
The woman is screaming out in fear, Miles couldn't stand by and watch, he stopped cloaking and appears out of thin air, surprised everyone inside.
"Hey! Let's her go!!!" Miles yelled out.
Tombstone sees an unknown vigilante dressed in black sharing some resemblance to Spider-Man, he lets the woman go as he wants to know who this kid is.
"Who the hell are you?!" Tombstone demanded his name.
"I'm Spider-Man." Miles proclaims himself as Spider-Man.
Tombstone's gang laughed at his claims being Spider-Man and take him too seriously.
"So I forgot my suit!" Miles backs up his lie.
"You, woman, leave us!" Tombstone told the woman.
The woman is permitted to leave by Tombstone as she rushed away from danger, Miles stayed behind as he's outnumbered by Tombstone and his henchmen.
"The rest of you, handle the cops, I'll deal with this one myself." Tombstone orders his men.
Tombstone's men left the room, leaving him and Miles alone to fight. Miles is a bit nervous since he's going up against a supervillain with powers, Miles only had these powers for a day, Tombstone had his for three years along with experience, Miles is at a big disadvantage.
"So you're the one who took down my men. You think I should be impressed? Well, I am not." Tombstone tells Miles.
"I'm not here to impress you, I'm here to stop you." Miles told Tombstone.
"Fine... take your best shot!" Tombstone dares Miles to attack.
Miles is still new to this, he just rushed in and throws in the first punch, but Tombstone caught it, he strike back with a strong punch to the face and push kick him hard that sent him back, Miles got bested by Tombstone.
"How disappointing, this was way too easy. You obviously don't know how to fight, boy!" Tombstone mocks Miles's fighting skills.
"That's not going to stop me!" Miles working through the pain.
Miles then charged in and tackled Tombstone hard, the villain strikes back with a knee strike and hits Miles in the guts, the villain then picked him up and tossed him hard against the wall. Miles is getting too hurt suffering so much damage.
"For someone calling him Spider-Man, you're nothing but a joke." Tombstone mocks Miles.
Miles turns himself invisible right before his eyes, Tombstone lost sight of the hero, he walks around searching for the invisible hero.
Tombstone chuckled. "Marco?! Polo?! Marco?!"
Tombstone got hit pretty hard in the back as Miles managed to sneak around and hit him from behind. Tombstone swings his arm around hoping to hit him, but he missed.
"Miss me!" Miles still invisible.
Miles strikes again and punched Tombstone in the face hard as he fell back against some barrels, he looked to see a pan full of oil, he can hear the footsteps coming as he picked it up and tossed it towards the footsteps, Miles got covered in oil while cloaked.
"Oh come on!" Miles is all covered in oil.
"Gotcha!" Tombstone tightens his fist.
Tombstone strikes back as he can see his target and hits him pretty hard in the face, Miles fell back down on the ground and stopped cloaking himself. Tombstone gets back up and walked over to the downed hero.
"You should've run away while you had the chance." Tombstone told Miles.
Tombstone kicked him hard in the stomach, inflicting pain. He kept kicking him hard as Miles can't fight back and Tombstone is getting the best of him. Tombstone stopped kicking as he looked down on the hero all beaten and defeated, he picked up a sledgehammer nearby.
"You got spirit, kid, I'll give you that. You might've made a good Spider-Man, but that's never going to happen." Tombstone told Miles.
Tombstone holds up the sledgehammer as Miles looks up to see that the villain is ready to swing the hammer down, Miles is too weak from his fight with Tombstone to move and escape.
"Say Goodnight, boy!" Tombstone tells Miles.
Tombstone is about to swing the hammer down and kill Miles Morales as his eyes are closing waiting for his death to come. But something unexpected happened, Spider-Man came crashing down from the ceiling and drop kick Tombstone in the back hard. Spider-Man made it just in time and saved Miles Morales from being killed by Tombstone. The supervillain recovers and stands back up to find the Spider-Man he recognized.

"Tombstone, surprised to see you out of prison, last time I heard, you were in a coma." Spider-Man told Tombstone.
"I was, the cops had me moved away from Rikers after my old friend Fisk failed to kill me. I woke up and managed to escape on my own, now I'm back and enjoying my new freedom." Tombstone explained how he got out.
"Don't get too comfortable, you won't stay free for long, I got a place where they hold up supervillains such as yourself, it's called the Raft." Spider-Man told Tombstone.
"You'll never take me in again." Tombstone refused to get locked up again.
"Let's find out." Spider-Man told Tombstone.
Tombstone still has his hands on the sledgehammer as he charged at Spider-Man ready to swing, Spider-Man does some backflips and agility dodging all of Tombstone's swings, Miles is still hurt as he's closing his eyes unable to watch the fight. Spider-Man stopped the backflips as he webs up the sledgehammer and pulls it off Tombstone's hands. Spider-Man got the hammer now, the villain is charging in as Spider-Man swings the hammer hard and sent Tombstone back hard. Spider-Man drops the hammer as he walks over to the supervillain getting back up on his feet.
"Give it up, Tombstone, I've beaten you once before and I'll do it again. Make it easier on yourself!" Spider-Man asking Tombstone to surrender.
"You're not taking me back again!" Tombstone refused to give up.
"If that's how you want to play, so be it." Spider-Man ready to fight again.
Tombstone charged in and tries to slam his fists down on Spider-Man, but the hero dodged them and strikes back with a strong back fist on Tombstone's face, the villain got hit pretty hard and got angry. Tombstone strikes back in anger as he tossed in some punches, but Spider-Man bobs and weaves easily thanks his quickness as he waits for the villain to wear himself out, Spider-Man found an opportunity to strike back with an uppercut to Tombstone's face and sent him back down again. The villain is standing back up as Spider-Man fired a couple of web lines past him on both sides.
"Time to end this!" Spider-Man holding both web lines.

"There, that's a wrap!" Spider-Man finished trapping Tombstone.
Spider-Man then turns to the unconscious hero Tombstone was fighting, the one the media has dubbed the Brooklyn Spider-Man. Spider-Man went to check up on him and sees that he's hurt pretty badly, but he's still alive.

The cops finds the whole place is wrecked by all the fighting that happened, they found Tombstone all webbed up and unconscious.
