Volume IV: Spider-Girl
This will be the fourth chapter of Volume IV, this story will center around Anya Corazon as she's adjusting to her new life as a superhero, she now goes by the name Arana as she crosses paths with Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, and Kid Arachnid as they're surprised to find out Anya still has her powers and she knows who they all are, Spider-Man decided to train Anya to help her improve on her skills and abilities. Meanwhile Peter and Gwen finally entered their first year in college along with Harry Osborn and Randy Robertson, this will bring new characters like new football star Brad Davis along with his friend Darius LeClerc, Anya along with Miles and Ganke returned back to Brooklyn Visions Academy for their sophomore year as new characters like Danika Hart and Tiana Toomes are attending there as well. Meanwhile the Wrecking Crew are back and stronger than ever as they're causing trouble for the city, the Web-Warriors are in for a challenge as there are only three of them against four supervillains, they'll need the help of Arana to tilt the odds in their favor. Anya will be dressed in a makeshift suit she made for herself, eventually she'll request a new suit and a new name to take as she joins the Web-Warriors as their fourth member.
It's September 3rd around 10:13 PM nighttime in Washington Heights as the neighborhood supermarket is being held up by a group of armed robbers screaming "Don't move!" "Get on your knees!", a lot civilians are on their knees with their hands above their heads while a couple of robbers are threatening them with guns while the other two are stealing from the registers all the cash they can get their hands on, they're in quite a rush to get this done before anyone shows up, especially the heroes or the cops.
"Hurry up, we don't have much time!"
"Relax, the heroes are probably on the other side of the city, they'll won't get here in time, by then we'll be long gone."
"Good, still let's get this done before any cops show up!"
The robbers are just finishing up loading the last of the cash. "Got it, let's get out of here!"
The robbers are making their escape from the supermarket with all the money they've just stolen, they're were about to hop into the car until one of them got webbed and pulled up screaming, the three robbers all stopped to see their buddy stuck in a web above their heads.
"What the? I thought the heroes wouldn't get here in time?"
"Think again." Arana's voice.
The robbers all look up to see a teenage girl coming in for a drop kick and kicked one of them down, the other two started shooting at her, she's quick and agile dodging the bullets, she jumps up and fired off organic webbing from her wrists and jammed their guns, taking away their ability to kill, Arana came in for a punch to the face, knocking one of them down, the last robber pulled out a knife as he attempts to kill her, Arana's spider sense tingles and alerted her of the danger behind her, she jumps backwards over the robber and landed behind him, she the push kicked him down unto a crate of watermelons, the market owner came out to see four of the robbers are neutralize, Arana got a hold of the bag packed with stolen here.
"Here, believe this is yours." Arana slowly tossed the bag up.
The market owner caught it and checks to see all the money is accounted for, the people in the neighborhood sees a teenage girl dressed in a white tank top with a red spider in the middle along with red backpack, black pants, red fingerless gloves and black/red shoes, she's got yellow lens goggles with her hair tied up in a ponytail, she's smart enough to covered her identity, some people got out their smartphones and started recording as she's done her part, she left swinging as the NYPD came by to see the situation is under control, the bad guys are down and nobody got hurt thanks to the new hero Arana.
Later around 10:54 PM in the same neighborhood, inside the apartment in Anya's bedroom, pieces of the clothing she was wearing as Arana are on the floor just outside of the bathroom, inside the bathroom Anya is in the shower letting the hot water rain down upon her with her eyes closed, she then shuts off the valve and ended her shower, she reached her hand out of the curtains to grab a towel, after she's done drying herself and getting dress in a t shirt and sweatpants, she came out of the bathroom as she bent down to pick up the tank top she wore earlier, she's the hero called Arana, she smiled as she made a difference helping people in the neighborhood, all of a sudden the door is knocking.
"Anya, are you awake?" Gilberto Corazon asking outside the door.
"Ah... coming!" Anya is panicking.
Anya is picking up the clothing she wore and quickly hides them under the bed as she doesn't want her father to know that she's secretly a vigilante, she then walks over to the door and opens up to see her father Gilberto.
"Hey Papa." Anya acting cool.
"Are you okay? You seem tense." Gilberto Corazon said.
"Nah, just thinking about tomorrow, going back to school." Anya made up an excuse.
"I know, you're going back to Brooklyn, to that fancy school, it's kinda sad to have to part ways with you again." Gilberto Corazon said.
"Don't worry Papa, it's only Brooklyn, I'll still come every now and then, thanks to that pink Vespa you bought me." Anya said.
"That's the point, glad that you've took that test this summer and got that license, just be careful when driving around, anything could go wrong in the streets these days, especially with that incident last week." Gilberto Corazon said.
"Yeah, it was crazy, a lot of people were turned into spiders." Anya remembers Spider-Island.
"It was very crazy, glad you weren't one of them." Gilberto Corazon said.
"Yeah... lucky me." Anya lied.
"Well, I should get out of your way and let you rest, tomorrow you start school again..." Gilberto Corazon is leaving the room before giving one last look at his daughter. "Sweet dream Anya, don't let the bed bugs bite."
Anya smiled. "I'll keep that in mind, goodnight Papa."
Gilberto smiled as he closed the door behind, Anya couldn't bring herself to tell her father what she went through last week during Spider-Island, she was exposed to the virus like everyone else and she gained powers, she almost lost her life that day but she was saved thanks to Spider-Man giving her his blood so she could still live, even though everyone was eventually cured of this infliction, she still has her powers for some reason, she didn't tell her dad nor did she tell Spider-Man the truth, she now uses these gifts to help people like he did, be a hero. Anya stretch out her arms and yawns as she's feeling sleepy, she hops into the bed and goes to sleep as tomorrow she's going back to Brooklyn Visions Academy for her sophomore year, this time she won't be the same Anya Corazon she was last year, this year she's a new person.
It's now September 4th around 6:15 AM in the morning in the Lower East Side, Peter Parker is still asleep alone in bed as his face is being licked by the dog Ms. Lion, he smiled and assumes that this was Gwen waking him up, but he then starts to wake up to see the dog on the bed in front of him, he's barking and smiling trying to get Peter to get up, Peter is getting up and wiping the dog saliva off his face, he then sees Gwen Stacy already up and fully dressed smiling and giggling at Peter, Gwen is dressed up in a black sleeveless turtleneck top with blue jeans.
"Glad you're finally up, Sleepyhead." Gwen smiled.
"Gwen... why didn't you wake me up?" Peter is surprised.
"I was going to, but I wanted to see if Ms. Lion could do that for me." Gwen smiled.
"He did, by licking my face." Peter felt embarrassed still wiping the saliva off.
"Don't take it personally, even MJ get the same treatment in the morning, she's pretty much used to it... so get up and brush your teeth, I'm making breakfast." Gwen said.
Gwen is walking out of their bedroom to cook breakfast, Peter is getting off his bed and stretching his arms and legs yawning, he walks over to the closet to pick out soem clothes to wear. Sometime later Peter is in the bathroom dressed up in his white t-shirt and blue jeans brushing his teeth, afterward he took in a cup of water as he's rinsing his mouth full of toothpaste, he then spits them out onto the sink.
In the kitchen, Gwen is cooking eggs in the basket while Mary Jane is brewing coffee with a French press, Ms. Lion is chowing down dog food from his bowl, the tv in the living room is play the news about a new vigilante who's been making a name for herself these past days, a footage recorded by smartphone is showing someone who's got powers just like the Web-Warriors, Peter is coming into the kitchen as he's spotted the news.
"Last night, a local supermarket in Washington Heights was held and robbed by four men armed with guns, they came close to escaping with 5 grand until a unknown vigilante came in swinging and thwarted their escaped, someone who's got powers are very identical to the spider heroes, we still don't know who she is, but we've received footage taken by smartphone showing the young hero swinging away after she finished up apprehending the culprits committing the crime, the question remains is she connected to Spider-Man, only time will tell."
"You two have any ideas who she could be?" Mary Jane asking while brewing coffee.
"No idea, it's very possible that she's one of the people who was bitten by the bed bugs last week, the very same bed bugs that gave everyone powers." Gwen theorized.
"I thought the cure used upon the whole city cured everyone of their powers and yet she still has hers, how is that possible?" Mary Jane said.
"I don't know, but if we find her, maybe we'll get our answers as to how and why." Gwen said.
"Later, today is our first day in college." Peter said.
Gwen smiled. "Sure is, come and have breakfast Pete."
Peter came to the table nearby as Gwen came over with a couple of plates of eggs in the basket, she placed one in front of Peter as she took a seat next to him, Peter smiled as he immediately recognized Gwen's favorite breakfast, Mary Jane came with her plate along with the french press full of coffee, she placed her plate on the table as she's pouring in coffee into all three mugs.
"Thanks MJ." Peter said.
"Sure thing Tiger, it's the least I could do for my friends, even on your first day of college, thank you both for giving me a place to stay." Mary Jane said.
"We had an empty bedroom, we figured you should have it. You seemed all dressed up, you're still job hunting?" Gwen drank her mug.
"Not anymore, I finally got a job." Mary Jane said.
Peter drank his mug and puts it down. "Really? As what exactly?"
"As a Barista at the Coffee Bean we hang around often after school, its the only job I'm qualify to do, doesn't pay a lot, but it's better than doing nothing." Mary Jane said.
"That's good, you have to start from somewhere, MJ." Peter said.
"Like you Tiger, back in high school your only qualifying skills are in photography." Mary Jane said.
"It pays the bills." Peter said.
"Okay, enough talk and eat, we gotta get going soon, college awaits us." Gwen smiled..
"Right, let's eat." Peter smiled.
Around 6:59 AM in Washington Heights just outside of the apartment where the Corazon lives, Gilberto is waiting outside where the pink Vespa he gifted his daughter is parked, Anya is coming out of the house all dressed up in her school uniform with a duffle bag along with her backpack, Gilberto is stunned to see how much weight she can carry for a teenage girl of her size, Anya's new strength allows her to carry without strain nor sweat as she's stronger than she looks, but her father doesn't know that and wanted to help her out.
"Are you okay carrying all that? It's all look heavy." Gilberto Corazon is worried.
"Don't worry Papa, I'm stronger than I look." Anya carrying her luggage.
"Well... okay, guess this is it. Promise me you'll come by for a visit." Gilberto Corazon said.
"I will Papa, I promise." Anya said.
Gilberto and Anya hugged each other goodbye as she's about to move back into Brooklyn Visions Academy for the rest of her sophomore year, they broke off their hugs as Anya hops onto her Vespa, she turn the engines as she gave her father one last look, she waves to him goodbye as Gilberto waves back to her, Anya then drives the Vespa away from the neighborhood driving through the city heading back to school.
Time is 8:03 AM at Brooklyn Visions Academy as new students are moving in and most are moving back, including Miles Morales who got a lift to school in a police cruiser by his dad, the cruiser pulled up to the entrance as Miles spotted his bed bud Ganke chatting with someone who looks familiar, a black haired Chinese American girl with purple highlights wearing glasses around 15 years of age, Miles is getting out of the passenger seat and went to the back of the cruiser where he opens up the trunk, he pulls out his suitcase as he wheels it around, he went up to the window to wave goodbye to his dad.
"Thanks for the ride Dad." Miles said.
"Take care Miles, enjoy the rest of your sophomore year." Jefferson Davis waves goodbye.
"Bye!" Miles waves back.
Jefferson drives away from the school as he walks up pulling his suitcase to his friend Ganke chatting with the purple haired girl.
"Hey Ganke." Miles waved to his friend.
"Hey Miles, guess who came to school?" Ganke introducing the new girl.
Miles recognized her. "No way, Danika Hart?"
"Hey Miles, long time." Danika Hart smiled.
"Sure has, haven't seen you since Junior High, never imagine you got into Brooklyn Visions Academy." Miles is surprised.
"I won the lottery, just like you, small world huh?" Danika Hart said.
"It's nice to see another friendly face, though you two seemed to be all cozied up, too cozied up." Miles suspects something between the two.
"You haven't told him?" Danika Hart said.
"Told me what?" Miles is curious.
"Danika and I... we've started dating in the summer." Ganke Lee said.
"Oh... didn't see that coming, I'm happy for you both." Miles said.
"Thanks... What about you? You got anyone special?" Danika Hart is curious.
"He did, but he hasn't made any moves yet, still in the friend zone." Ganke Lee teased.
Miles smiled rolled his eyes up. "Thanks Ganke."
"Don't let that bring you down, you still got time, if that doesn't work out, then there's always another girl somewhere waiting for you." Danika Hart encouraging Miles' love life.
"Thanks, but a girl would have to be crazy to be in a relationship with me." Miles referring to his double life.
"Well anyway, I should head on inside and pick out a dorm room, nice seeing you again, Miles." Danika Hart said before leaving.
"You too, Danika." Miles said.
"I should head on in too, need to find a dorm room for ourselves, see ya inside." Ganke Lee said before leaving.
Ganke is heading on inside the school following Danika, Miles is quite envious of his friend Ganke, he's in a relationship with a girl, something he himself gotten to yet due to his shyness and his double life as Kid Arachnid, he had a crush on Anya but hasn't told her how he felt about her, she only sees him as a friend and they stayed friends from then on, he hopes one day he'll find someone who he have a serious relationship with. Coming onto school grounds is a African American teenage girl about 15 years of age carrying a suitcase with both hands that seemed too heavy for her, she eventually slipped her hand and it fell down, it opened up and made a mess as he clothes are scattered on the ground.
"Oh, that's just great!"
Miles turns around to see a new girl has made a mess as she's cleaning it up, Miles went over to help her out, he bend down and starting picking up clothes as she looks at the boy who is kind enough to help a new girl like her.
"Here, let me help you." Miles being a gentlemen.
Miles is helping put all the clothes back into the suitcase as they're finishing picking up, she close the suitcase tight for good measure as she's getting back up along with Miles as this is their first time meeting one another, Miles got a good look at her face, she's pretty cute in his eyes.
"Thank you... ah"
"Miles, my name's Miles." Miles introduce himself.
"My name's Tiana, it's nice to meet you Miles." Tiana introduce herself.
"Tiana, like from the Princess and the Frog." Miles smiled.
"So I've been told, many times." Tiana smiled.
"Well, its' nice to meet you too, Tiana, here, let me help you carry that." Miles offering to help.
Miles took the suitcase that seemed pretty heavy for Tiana to carry, she's surprised how easily he could hold it in one hand, meanwhile unknown to them, Anya is driving up and parking her Vespa on the school's sidewalk, she spotted Miles chatting with someone she's never seen before, whoever she is Miles is really taking a liking to her.
"Wow, you're pretty strong." Tiana said.
"Thanks, you've been carrying something this heavy all by yourself?" Miles asking about the suitcase.
"Seemed like a good idea at the time." Tiana said.
"Well lucky for you, I'm here to help, care to lead the way?" Miles said.
Tiana smiled as she went into the school and Miles is carrying the suitcase following her inside, Anya is feeling unease for some reason watching them, she shouldn't feel this way since she and Miles are only friends, she parked her Vespa and started walking towards the school, moving back in.
Around 8:45 AM at Empire State University, a lot of college students are attending here at this very prestigious Ivy League school, some are still new to this school as it includes freshmen students such as Kate Bishop, Lily Hollister, Carlie Cooper, Janice Lincoln, Brad Davis, and Darius LeClerc are exploring the campus, on the bulletin board are flyer, including a picture labeled "MISSING: Richard Rider, last seen on March 22nd, 2024", coming driving a green convertible into the parking lot is Harry Osborn along with his roommate Randy Robertson riding shotgun, Harry parked his car as the two got out and arrived early at school.
"Just in time, wonder where Pete's at." Harry asking about his friend.
"Knowing him, something came up and he'll come in late as always." Randy suspects.
"Yeah, that's true. Thought for sure that he'd be here on his first day in college." Harry said.
Harry and Randy were about to head out of the parking lot until they heard a noise coming in, they see a red motorcycle driving through the lot carrying two people driven by someone in a black leather moto racer jacket, the bike eventually came and parked itself next to the green convertible, getting off the bike are Peter and Gwen taking off their helmets as Harry and Randy are surprised to see they got a neat set of wheels, a red Sportster 1200.
"Hey Harry, Randy, looks like we're a bit early." Peter smiled greeting his friends.
"Whoa, that's neat." Randy looking at the bike.
"Since when do you ride a Harley?" Harry is curious.
"Since last week, it was my uncle's and now it's mine." Peter said.
"That's cool, now you have a way of getting around." Harry said.
Gwen looks at her watch. "We should get going, class is about to start soon and we don't want to be late."
"Agreed, let's go." Peter smiled.
Peter, Gwen, Harry, and Randy all walked out of the parking lot and made their way through campus, a lot of guys here are eyeballing Gwen Stacy as she's quite a beauty all dressed up in her black sleeveless turtleneck top and blue jeans, they could tell that she's got the figure of a supermodel, Brad Davis and Darius LeClerc could see the all beautiful Gwen Stacy walking around campus.
Brad Davis gave a short whistle. "Whoa, she's hot."
"And she's taken, do you see the guy she's walking with?" Darius LeClerc pointing out to Peter Parker.
"What does she see in that guy?" Brad Davis takes a deep breath and makes his move. "Okay, I'm going in."
"Whoa, that's not a good idea, Brad." Darius LeClerc advise against it.
"Come on, I'm just going to say hi. What girl can resist the Brad charm?" Brad Davis being arrogant.
Darius sighed as he watches his bud walking over to the blonde bombshell everyone is looking at, Brad eventually steps in front of the group about to flirt with Gwen Stacy.
"Hey." Brad Davis smiled and flirts.
"Well, hello there." Gwen said.
"Don't think we've met, the name's Brad, and you are?" Brad Davis flirting.
Peter intervened feeling a bit protective. "Gwen Stacy, my girlfriend, and I'm Peter Parker, her boyfriend."
"Okay, don't need to feel overprotective, just saying hi." Brad Davis said.
"Yeah, I think you want more than that." Peter still isn't buying it.
"Like I said, I just wanted to say hi. Why don't we start over properly? Hi, the name's Brad Davis." Brad is extending his hand out.
"The name's Peter Parker." Peter took Brad's hand.
Brad Davis smiled as Peter took the bait, he started to squeeze Peter's hand to break him, but Peter didn't feel any pain as he caught onto Brad's act, he turned the table and squeezed back a bit as Brad's eyes are widen and he's feeling the pain, his hand being crushed as Brad is doing his best to keep his cool in front of everyone, Gwen smiled as she knows what Peter is doing.
"You know, I could've sworn that you were trying to make moves on my girl, but I'm sure you wouldn't do such a thing with another guy's girl, would you Brad?" Peter still gripping Brad's hand tight.
"No, that's ridiculous." Brad Davis is breaking.
"It is ridiculous, so I would appreciate it if you won't do so every again, and I would strongly suggest to avoid anymore misunderstandings in the future, okay?" Peter gripping Brad's hand.
"Yeah, yeah, I got it!" Brad Davis is breaking.
"That's very kind of you, thank you so much." Peter smiled.
Peter let's go of Brad's hand as the arrogant jerk is feeling the pain of his hand being squeeze by a regular guy, Darius came up to see how easily Brad broke by a simple handshake, Peter and Gwen are walking towards their assigned classes as they're quite impressed by what Peter just accomplished with a handshake, Gwen isn't too surprised since she knew Peter got this in hand.
"Dang, very subtle Pete, how you handle it." Harry is impressed.
"Yeah, especially with a guy like Brad Davis." Randy is impressed too.
"You know him?" Peter is curious.
"Yeah, he was the star quarterback on the opposing team from Standard High we've gone up against, the one we lost in our junior year." Randy explained.
"Yeah, I remember that game, we were so close but we lost." Peter remembers that game two years ago.
"From what I heard, he was the runner up when ESU was seeking football stars to recruit, Flash was suppose to be the one to receive the scholarship, but he turned it down, looks like Brad Davis got the spot instead." Randy explained.
Harry scoffed. "The guy didn't even care that Gwen was with Pete, he still tried to hit on her."
"He can try all he wants, but I'm with Peter, then and now." Gwen smiled as she leans against Peter.
Peter and Gwen smiled and kiss each other, Brad is still watching and felt humiliated that someone like Peter got the better of him, and yet he's locking lips with the hottest girl on campus, there's nothing he can do about it, Peter and Gwen are heading to attend classes with their friends as this is their first day in college.
Later around 10:23 AM far out in Newark, New Jersey in an abandoned broken down apartment building, the criminal gang called the Wrecking Crew are hanging out eating can food and feeling unpleased stay here in this dump, their financial situation is pretty grim as they haven't taken any big time jobs from anyone every since they've suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Spider-Man and Thor almost three years, their weapons still have the enchantments Loki gave them, their once great reputation has been ruined and nobody is looking to hire them, Bulldozer is eating a lot since he's the biggest of the four, but he sees a rat attempting to eat from his can, Bulldozer growl in anger and attempts to stomp the rat but he missed, he then tossed the can at the rat, but the little guy managed to get away back to his hole.
"Wow, the almighty Bulldozer can't even crush a little tiny rat, how the mighty have fallen." Thunderball mocks.
"Shut up, Thunderball!" Bulldozer felt annoyed.
Thunderball got up to challenge Bulldozer as Piledriver steps in to stop the two from duking it out, Wrecker slams his crowbar down on the table hard, breaking it in half as the rest noticed.
"ENOUGH! I know our situation is worst, but this is no time to fight against ourselves." Wrecker trying to get his crew under control.
"Why not? Nobody is hiring us anymore, you know why?" Cause this, our little posse, are nothing but a big joke." Thunderball said.
"Yeah, it's all because of that little bug, Spider-Man." Bulldozer said.
"I haven't forgotten about him nor his friend, the God of Thunder, cause of those two, we've suffered humiliating defeats again and again, shattering our once great reputation, but one day we will get vengeance on those two and restore our image, we just need one opportunity to get back everything we've lost, just one." Wrecker telling his crew.
"When is that, Wrecker, huh? Cause in case you've forgotten, no one is hiring us, if only we get one phone call, and that's if we ever get a call." Piledriver being doubtful.
The Wrecking Crew are suffering from grave misfortune and came close to accepting that everything is hopeless, but all of a sudden the burner flip phone is ringing and got the whole Wrecking Crew attention, after so long someone is finally reaching out to them, Wrecker came up and answered the call.
"Ah... hello?" Wrecker asking who it is.
"Am I talking to the Wrecking Crew?"
"Yeah, who is this?" Wrecker asking the identity of the caller.
"Unimportant, what is important is I want to hire your crew for your services, interested?"
"Yeah, of course, what do you need from us?" Wrecker said.
"I want you and your crew to destroy certain buildings owned by certain criminal elements, if you do your jobs well, then you'll be paid very generously... so are you in or out?"
Wrecker chuckles. "Yeah, I'm in."
"Excellent, I'll soon send you a hit list of targets to wreck in New York City, for each one hit, you shall be paid handsomely."
"Understood, awaiting your instructions, thank you for this opportunity." Wrecker said.
"Do not fail me."
The mysterious client hangs up the phone as Wrecker turns to his crew with a smiled as they got an opportunity to restore their image for the first time in a long time.
"Guess what boys, the Wrecking Crew is back in business!" Wrecker smiled.
The rest of the Wrecking Crew all smiled as they got a chance to prove themselves again, someone hired them to do business in destroying buildings on their behalf, but all they care about is getting a second chance, not only to regain their reputation but also to get back at the very guy responsible for their misfortunes, Spider-Man.
Later around 3:13 PM in Tribeca at the Coffee Bean where Mary Jane Watson is working as a barista to earn money to save up for acting classes, it's her first time as she's still new to this work, but she knows a thing or two about making some decent coffee, coming into the cafe is Peter and Gwen along with Harry and Randy as they spotted their friend MJ in an green apron making coffee for the customer waiting as they came up to the line soon to be next. Mary Jane gave the cup to the customer as she is stunned to see four of her friends here.
"Harry?" Mary Jane is surprised.
"Well, well, well, Mary Jane Watson, barista, what are the odds? You come to drink here and now you work here." Harry teasing.
"Hey, hey, hey, no need to tease her on her first day of work. What she's doing is calling having a life, Harry Osborn, you should try it sometime." Gwen defending Mary Jane.
"Okay, okay, I didn't mean to take it the wrong way, there's no shame if she needs to make a living, we just wanted to come by for some coffee on her first day of work on our first day of college." Harry said.
"It's okay Gwen, I appreciate you standing up for me, but I know Harry wasn't being serious. So, what would you four like to drink?" Mary Jane asking for their drink orders.
"Okay, I'll have a tall oak milk vanilla latte." Harry placed his order.
"I'll have a tall caramel frappuccino." Randy placed his order.
"Tall mocha macchiato." Gwen placed her order.
"I'll have the same as her." Peter will have the same order as Gwen.
Mary Jane started writing their names and orders on the cups, Harry is paying off the cashier as all four picked out a table waiting for their drinks, they all took a seat with Peter and Gwen sitting together, Harry and Randy sitting opposite of them, they've started chatting while Mary Jane is brewing their drinks, Harry missed out a lot since he was out of town last week.
"So how was the Hamptons?" Harry asking the couple
"It was great, the house is amazing, thanks for lending us the place, Harry." Peter said.
"See, told you it'd be fun, though I did hear there was trouble that day." Harry said.
"Yeah, some shark guy came by to terrorize everyone, but thanks to Spider-Man, no one got hurt." Peter said.
"Except for you two." Harry said.
"What do you mean?" Gwen said.
"One of the maids from the Hamptons house told me that they found what appears to be blood on the sheets, along with something else. Care to explain how that happened?" Harry asking the couple.
"Oh... ah..." Peter is being shy.
Harry is waiting for Peter and Gwen to give an answer but he could tell by their expressions that they've did something together that led to that mess on the sheets, he widen his eyes as he finally figured it out.
"Oh my god, did you two..." Harry smiled.
Neither Peter and Gwen said anything as they're still being shy about that moment they've shared together, the moment they've consummated their relationship for the first time.
"Wow!" Harry smiled.
"What's wow?" Randy is confused.
Harry leaned in closer to Randy's ear and whispers, Randy's eyes widen upon hearing what Peter and Gwen did together.
"No way, you two..." Randy smiled.
"Okay, yes, we did it, don't make a big deal out of it." Peter said.
Mary Jane came by with a tray of cups. "Don't make a big deal out of what, Tiger?"
"Peter and Gwen lost their cherries last week." Harry said.
Mary Jane isn't too surprised by this news as Harry picked up on her expression.
"Wait, you knew?" Harry is surprised.
Mary Jane sighed. "Unfortunately yes, caught them skinny dipping in the pool."
"Whoa, in the pool." Randy is stunned.
"Okay, enough of this." Peter said.
"Come on, don't be like that, Pete, I'm actually happy for you two, never thought you both had it in you." Harry smiled.
Mary Jane is taking drinks off the tray and giving it out. "Okay, one tall oak milk vanilla latte, one tall caramel frappuccino, two tall mocha macchiatos."
Peter took a sip from his cup and smiled. "Mmm, thanks MJ."
"Keep up the good work." Gwen said.
"That's the plan." Mary Jane said before walking back.
"So how's the new pad you two share?" Peter asking about Harry's apartment.
"It's sweet, very homey, got a good view of the neighborhood." Randy said.
"Too bad you turned down the offer of being roomies with me, then again you seemed to be enjoying sharing the apartment with two of the hottest women of your life." Harry said.
"Dang, you got Rizz, Parker." Randy envied Peter's luck.
"Come on, it's not like that, we had an empty bedroom available and we decided to let MJ have it, her and her dog." Peter said.
"It must be nice having her and her dog living with you." Harry said.
"Got no complaints." Gwen said.
"Okay, enough chatting, let's drink." Peter said.
Everyone got to drinking their cafe drinks and enjoying their moment after their first day in college, Mary Jane is brewing drinks watching her friends enjoying themselves, they all got to have their decent education at the school of their choosing while she herself is working as a barista to earn some money to afford acting classes at Juilliard, she hopes that one day she'll reach her goals and make something of herself, but for now she must do the only thing she knows what to do, brew coffee.
Around the same time in Brooklyn at a decent coffee shop nearby the academy called Foam Party where a lot of people are lining up for their drinks, Ganke is sitting with Danika and Anya as they're drinking and chatting, waiting for their friend Miles to come, Anya suspects that Miles is with the new girl he just met this morning, she is curious about Ganke's friend as this is her first time meeting her.
"So what is it that you do in your free time, Danika?" Anya is curious.
"Making videos on YouTube talking about superheroes, heroes like Spider-Man." Danika said.
"So you're a YouTuber." Anya is surprised.
"I got a channel, it's called The Danikast, you should check it out sometime." Danika said.
"Maybe I will." Anya said.
"So what's it like meeting Spider-Man?" Danika is curious.
"Excuse me?" Anya said.
"Ganke told me that you once run into Spider-Man last year." Danika knows about that incident.
"Yeah, me and this older girl Kate were kidnapped by the Tracksuit Mafia and held for ransom, thankfully Spider-Man and Hawkeye came to our rescue, they saved our lives that night, Spider-Man is my hero." Anya said.
Danika smiled as she could tell Anya sees Spider-Man as a hero like everyone else, coming into the shop is Miles along with Tiana as he spotted his friends sitting together, Ganke spotted Miles and waves to him, Anya sees Miles and Tiana coming their way.
"Sorry I'm late, just showing the new girl around the neighborhood.' Miles said.
"Aren't you going to introduce us?" Ganke is curious about the new girl.
"This is Tiana. Tiana, this is Ganke, Danika, and Anya." Miles introduced Tiana and his friends.
"Nice to meet you all." Tiana smiled.
"Likewise." Ganke smiled.
"Same." Danka smiled.
"Nice to meet you too." Anya smiled.
"By the way, I saw a pink Vespa parked outside, pretty sure it's the same one parked outside the school." Tiana said.
"That's my Vespa." Anya said.
"Didn't know you drove one." Miles is surprised.
"My dad bought it for me recently after I passed my driver ed test and got my motorcycle license." Anya said.
"Wow, you got yourself a set of wheels, my dad never bought me a car, let alone a bike." Miles said.
"That's because you still don't know how to ride bikes." Ganke said.
"Really? You don't know how to ride bikes?" Tiana smiled.
Miles looked embarrassed. "You had to tell 'em, didn't you?"
Danika and Anya smirked and giggled at the remark, Danika's phone is buzzing an alert as she stopped giggling and checks out, Ganke noticed something by Danika's expression.
"What is it, Danika?" Ganke asking.
"I got this app for alerting me about crime activities, a warehouse in Brighton Beach is under attack by four supervillains." Danika said.
Miles heard trouble is brewing in Brighton Beach that requires a hero to stop it.
"I should get going, I'll see you all later." Miles is leaving the shop.
Tiana has no idea what's going on as Miles just left all of a sudden, Anya knows that Miles is heading to face trouble.
"I should go too, got somewhere else to be, see ya!" Anya is leaving too.
Anya is leaving as Ganke, Danika, and Tiana are left behind, meanwhile Miles is walking down the sidewalk with a phone to his ear informing his teammates.
"Hey, there's trouble in Brighton Beach." Miles telling his teammates.
"We heard, we're on our way." Peter said.
Miles hangs up the phone as he turns to the alley and runs while discarding his clothes concealing his Kid Arachnid suit underneath, he jumps up and climbs to the rooftop, Kid Arachnid then swings throughout the neighborhood as unknown to him Arana is swinging after him keeping her distance, she's know exactly where he's going, the same place she's heading to, to battle.
Around 3:46 PM in Brighton Beach, a warehouse loaded in stolen items is being demolished as the Wrecking Crew are causing so much damage, the members of the Tracksuit Mafia are fighting back to stop these supervillains, but Thunderball swings his wrecking ball on his chain and hits several thugs hard, some thugs with guns are shooting at Bulldozer as their bullets aren't penetrating his armor, he tackled them without any difficulty, one of the thugs swings an aluminium bat but Piledriver caught it with his enlarged hands and bend it easily in front of the guy, the other thug attempts to escape but he bumps into Wrecker who swings his enchanted crowbar and hits the thug hard.
Wrecker chuckles. "It's so good to be back in action."
Thunderball smiled. "Ha, I won't complain, this feels great."
Piledriver pounds the support beam. "I love doing what I do best."
Bulldozer chuckles. "Me too."
"Keep up the barrage, boys, boss wants this place totaled to the ground." Wrecker said.
As the Wrecking Crew are causing even more damage and destruction, coming in swinging down through the broken window ceiling is Kid Arachnid as he lands in a three point stance, he meet new villains he's never seen before, his presence got the Wrecking Crew's attention, the hero looks like Spider-Man but he isn't.
"Where's Spider-Man?" Wrecker asking.
"On the way." Kid Arachnid said.
"We were hoping to meet Spider-Man again, that bastard owed us big time, but I guess you'll have to do for now. Wrecking Crew, take him down!" Wrecker said.
Bulldozer is the first to make a move as he's charging in for an attack, Kid Arachnid jumps up and landed behind him, he fired a couple of webbing onto the back of Bulldozer's legs, he pulls the lines hard and made Bulldozer trip off his feet.
"Looks like you're trippin', Big Guy." Kid Arachnid teases.
Kid Arachnid took care of Bulldozer but his spider sense tingles as Thunderball is swinging his wrecking ball hard, the hero ducks down and dodged the ball, he then strikes back with an uppercut charged with venom energy and sent him off his feet, unknown to anyone Arana came by on the rooftop and took a peek through the ceiling to see the fight happening inside, Kid Arachnid is facing four supervillains all by himself, he's engaged in combat against Piledriver dodging his enlarged fists, unknown to him Bulldozer is getting back up along with Thunderball, he's too distracted to noticed he's about to be overwhelmed without knowing it.
"Oh no, he'll never see it coming." Arana is troubled.
Piledriver kept on punching until Kid Arachnid counters with some punches of his own, he punched Piledriver hard as Bulldozer is coming in charging for an attack, Kid Arachnid turns around as he's getting close to being tackled, but someone jumped in and pushed Kid Arachnid away in time before he could get hit, Bulldozer missed as Kid Arachnid looks at his savior as did the Wrecking Crew, they all find a teenage girl dressed in some kind of makeshift suit, meanwhile the building they're inside it is losing it's structure from all the damage, it's inches away from tumbling down on top of their heads.
"Are you okay, Kid Arachnid?" Arana asking.
"Ah... who are you supposed to be?" Kid Arachnid asking.
"Just call me Arana." Arana introducing herself.
Wrecker is stunned. "Another spider hero? What is this? You're all multiplying?"
"Don't look at me, I'm just as surprised as you are." Kid Arachnid said.
"Doesn't matter, point is you now have two heroes to deal with." Arana said.
"Boss, look up." Thunderball said.
Wrecker looks up to see that this place is barely holding itself together as it's one pound away from collapsing, his crew has a job to do and they have a chance to take down a couple of heroes in the process.
"As much as I'm eager to get back at that Wall-Crawler, we have a job to finish. It's been fun, insects!" Wrecker about to leave.
"Hey, wait!" Kid Arachnid tries to stop them.
"Bulldozer, give this place one last stomp." Wrecker gave the order.
Bulldozer raised his foot up and stomps down the ground very hard as the whole place is breaking apart, Kid Arachnid and Arana looks up to see that this place is about to collapse on top of them, the Wrecking Crew are making their escape as the heroes see a few Tracksuit thugs unconscious on the ground about to be buried alive, Kid Arachnid prioritize into saving the lives here rather than catch those supervillains, Arana sees Kid Arachnid saving the thugs, she's got no love for the Tracksuits but she's not about to let them die, she followed his example and picked up a couple of them, Kid Arachnid picked up two as they quickly make there escape as pieces of the ceiling are falling down. Kid Arachnid and Arana sees an opening up ahead as they continued running until they jumped out of the building before it finally collapsed down behind them.
They finally made it outside with the Tracksuit thugs as they turn around to see the building finally collapsed into rumble, they breathe feeling tired out from the running and almost being buried alive, they look around to find the Wrecking Crew are nowhere to be found, they're long gone from this place, but they're relived that no one was killed today.
Kid Arachnid breathing. "Hey, thanks for the help."
"Anytime." Arana said.
"By the way, who are you?" Kid Arachnid is curious.
"I already told you, didn't I?" Arana said.
"I mean who are you underneath those goggles, you seemed... familiar." Kid Arachnid said.
They then hear sirens coming in from a distance as the FDNY and the NYPD are coming their way.
"This might not be the best place to discuss it." Arana said.
"Agreed, let's get out of here." Kid Arachnid said.
(Later)
Kid Arachnid and Arana are standing on a rooftop overlooking the crime scene where the Tracksuit warehouse used to be before it was demolished by the Wrecking Crew, luckily nobody was in the building before it collapsed thanks to the heroes, meanwhile Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider finally arrived to see that they're too late, but their biggest surprise is the young vigilante standing with Kid Arachnid, her appearance matches the description of the other spider hero from last night.
"Sorry we're late, are you okay?" Spider-Man asking.
"Yeah, I had help." Kid Arachnid referring to Arana.
"And she is?" Ghost-Spider asking about Arana.
"This is... I'm sorry, who are you again?" Kid Arachnid said.
Arana sighed. "Seriously, are you really that forgetful? The name's Arana and don't you forget this time."
"From the way you're dressed, you must be that vigilante who stopped that robbery last night in Washington Heights. I have so many questions to ask you." Spider-Man said.
"Go ahead and ask... Peter." Arana revealed Spider-Man's name.
Spider-Man is stunned. "How did you know my name?"
Arana then takes off her goggles and reveals her identity to them, the Web-Warriors are stunned to see Anya Corazon is the hero called Arana.
Kid Arachnid is stunned. "No way... Anya."
"Hey Miles." Anya smiled.
"What? How?" Kid Arachnid is even more stunned.
"Not just you, I know who she is too... Gwen Stacy." Anya revealed Ghost-Spider's name.
The Web-Warriors are all stunned to hear that Anya know who each of them are underneath the masks.
"Now that we're done introducing ourselves, why don't we go someone else and talk?" Anya suggested.
Later elsewhere in a parking space in Queens, the Wrecking Crew are having drinks to celebrate their success in completing their first job, even though they didn't get the chance to fight Spider-Man, they've successfully took down an entire building, they felt good being back in business after a long time.
"Gentlemen, a toast to our success." Wrecker raised his can of beer.
"Here here!" Thunderball raised his can up.
"Too bad we didn't get the chance to get back at Spider-Man." Piledriver said.
"All in good time, my friend, all in good time. For now, let's just take the win." Wrecker said.
The Wrecking Crew are still celebrating until Wrecker's burner phone is ringing, they figured that it's their mysterious client, Wrecker pulls out the phone and puts it on speaker.
"Wrecking Crew here." Wrecker said.
"I see your crew accomplished the mission, I'd admit I had some doubts you'd all success, guess my investment in your skills paid off, job well done, I'm wiring the money to your offshore account."
Wrecker's phone is getting a buzz as he checks out the transaction made to the offshore account for their services, Wrecker shows the transactions to his crew confirming the payment, they all smiled.
"Check it out, payday!" Wrecker smiled.
"Day is not over yet, I still need your crew to take down some more targets and I'll even pay for each building demolished."
"We're still available, though it'll be challenging, this will bound to attract more attention of Spider-Man and his friends, we've just ran into a couple of them, they were inside the building we've just demolished, no telling if they're still alive or not." Wrecker said.
"If you do run into Spider-Man, even better, if your crew can kill him and his friends, then I'll pay your crew even more money for their heads, interested?"
"Oh yeah, it's a deal, that bug still owes us big time, killing him will be a pleasure." Wrecker said.
"Don't make promises you can't deliver, kill him then you'll get more money."
The mysterious client hangs up after he offered a bonus for the death of Spider-Man, the Wrecking Crew are more than please to take this job both for profit and revenge.
Later around 4:59 PM at the Spider-Cave, headquarters of the Web-Warriors, Anya Corazon is stunned as she's looking around the place to see the lair where Spider-Man and his friends conduct their operations in keeping the city safe, this place has everything, a lab where all the equipment and resources available to create tools, a training ground to practice their combat skills, a big supercomputer to monitor for crime activities in the city, a parking bay where two Spider-Cycles along with the Spider-Mobile, the glass cases containing previous suits worn by Spider-Man in the past, Peter, Gwen, and Miles are waiting for Anya to finish touring around the lair as they have so many question to ask her, coming into the lair is Ganke Lee became stunned to find Anya Corazon wearing some kind of outfit she wears as Arana, Anya spotted Ganke here.
"Ganke... figures you knew about Miles since you two are so tight." Anya isn't too surprised.
"No way, Anya is a superhero too." Ganke is still processing it.
"Yeah, apparently she still has her powers." Miles said.
"That ain't all, she knows who we all too, somehow." Peter said.
"Yeah, about that, how did you know about us?" Gwen is curious.
"Well, okay... it all started months ago around the time the Earth was threatened by Doc Ock, I was beginning to suspect that Miles was up to something cause of all those times he disappeared unexpectedly, I got curious and I called his mother at one time, I asked her if she's seen Miles when he told me he went to see her, she told me she didn't, that was the confirmation that he lied to me." Anya told about her suspicions.
"That still doesn't explain how you know about us?" Miles said.
"I'm getting to that, around that same night you left, I snuck into your dorm room and I found a mask torn up tucked in the bed, the mask of Kid Arachnid." Anya explained how she figured it out.
"That's when you connected the dots from him to us, you figured out that all three of us were heroes." Peter said.
"The very same heroes who saved my life last year." Anya smiled.
"Wow, you're quite the detective, Nancy Drew." Peter is impressed.
"I learned everything from my father, he's quite an investigative journalist." Anya said.
"I can see that, but back to the matter at hand, how is it possible that you still have your spider powers? I know that you're one of the many infected by the Spider-Virus last week, so the cure should've cured you of everything including your powers and yet you still have them." Peter is curious on Anya's powers.
"This came as a surprise to me too, I don't know how but I still have them and I haven't even been turned into a spider like everyone else has." Anya is just as surprised as Peter.
"How could this be?" Peter is curious.
"It might have something to do with the blood transfusion you performed to save her life, your blood cells weren't tainted by the Spider-Virus and they became a part of her along with your genetic code, the cure only cured her of the Spider-Virus, but your blood must've enabled her to keep her powers without undergoing any further mutation." Gwen theorized how this is possible.
"Wow, lucky me." Anya smiled.
"That's one word for it." Peter said.
"Okay, now that we've cleared that part up, care to explain what happened today in Brooklyn?" Gwen asking about the other incident.
"Oh right, we were fighting off against four guys, all very strong with an affinity for destruction." Miles explained.
"Did they say who they are?" Peter asking.
"Nah, but they seemed to know you, I heard one of them calling the other guy Bulldozer." Miles gave clues.
Peter figured it out. "The Wrecking Crew."
"You know these guys?" Miles said.
"Almost three years ago I fought against a team of supervillains specializing in destroying public properties, I've stopped them until Loki sent them after me and Thor, they almost killed me but Thor stepped in and saved my life, we took them on and sent them running." Peter explained about the crew.
"And then what happened?" Gwen said.
"Nothing, never heard from them again, til today." Peter said.
"Looks like they're back." Gwen said.
"What was the building they've destroyed?" Peter said.
"It's a warehouse that seemed to be owned by the Tracksuit Mafia, the place seemed to be packed in stolen merchandise." Miles said.
"I don't get it, why would they go after a warehouse." Anya is confused.
"Most likely someone hired them to cause disruptions against rival criminal syndicates, take down their places and cripple their business in the process, we gotta figure out what their next target before they strike again." Peter said.
"It might be too for that." Ganke Lee is at the supercomputer monitoring recently activities, the four heroes joined up to the screen. "These guys just hit a carniceria in Queens about five minutes ago, the whole place was totaled, no survivors."
"Dang." Miles is stunned.
"Any connection to organized crime?" Peter said.
"According to NYPD narcotics, the place served as a front for the Lobo Brothers where they sell drugs." Ganke Lee read the report.
"Tap into the NYPD and federal databases, see if you can find any buildings owned or controlled by organized crime, it might give us a lead on possible targets." Peter said.
"On it." Ganke Lee is typing the keyboard starting the search.
"Okay, Ganke is doing his thing, so are we going to go out on patrol?" Anya is wondering.
"Not yet, in the meantime, let's see what you can do Anya, follow me." Peter is walking away.
Anya has no idea what Peter has planned for her as she follows him and they came up to the training mat along with Gwen and Miles spectating, Peter is standing opposite facing Anya on the mat as she did the same.
"What is this?" Anya is curious.
"Now we're going to test out your combat skills, come at me." Peter dares her to make a move.
"What?" Anya is confused.
"Attack me." Peter said.
"Okay..." Anya takes a deep breath.
Anya tightens her fists as she's about to spar against Peter Parker to see what she's capable of, Anya made the first move as she throws the first punch, but Peter weaves slightly to the right, she missed as she strikes again with a back fist but Peter bend slightly backwards as she missed again, Anya then strikes with a side kick but Peter caught her heel and stopped her easily, Anya couldn't believe that he caught it without putting too much effort.
"What the..." Anya is stunned.
"I see you know how to fight, but not well enough." Peter holding Anya's heel up.
"What do you call what I did last night?" Anya still has her heel up.
"Fighting common thugs isn't the same as fighting supervillains." Peter holding Anya's heel up.
Peter then let's go of Anya's heel as he steps back and waits for her to make her move again. Anya will try to make more of an effort to prove herself against Peter, she came at him jumping in for a superman punch as he parry her fist, she kept on striking as he blocks until he counters with a one inch punch and pushed her back hard on the mat, Miles and Gwen are watch to see how easily Peter is besting Anya as she's getting back up with a hand to her stomach.
"Ow, did you just hit me? A girl?" Anya is surprised.
"What? Do you think that every bad guy is going to go easy on you just because you're a girl? That's not how it works out there Anya, in a real fight they're not going to hold back, they will kill you when they get the chance, or did you forget what happened last time?" Peter is talking serious.
"Yeah, yeah, I got hurt." Anya said.
"No Anya, you didn't get hurt, you almost died, if I hadn't stepped in and offered you my blood, you would've been dead by now." Peter reminded her he saved her life.
"Hey, if I didn't step in, you would've been the one who would've been dead by now, or did you forget that?" Anya reminded him she saved his life.
"Look, I appreciate you stepping in and risking yourself for me, I really do, but in this life as a hero it's life or death, you were lucky Anya, but if you go down this path you won't be so lucky again, you could die and this time it'll be for good." Peter explain the risks being a hero.
"So what? I just go back to being a regular girl? I can't Peter, my life will never be normal again cause I have these powers now just like you, maybe this is who I am now, rather than just trying to fix me, why don't you just accept it." Anya said.
"Okay, then prove it, take me down if you can and don't hold back." Peter daring Anya.
Peter is ready and waiting for Anya to fight again, Anya tighten her fists as she's more determined than ever to give it everything she's got, she came in fast with her fists as Peter is bobbing and weaving her strikes, she tries her best as Peter eventually caught both of her fists and hold them up in place, stopping her attacks, Anya then strikes with a headbutt and landed a hit on Peter's lip, Peter let's go of the fists as Gwen and Miles are surprised to see Anya managed to get a hit on Spider-Man who's got years of experience ahead of Anya.
Peter has a cut on his lip as he's still focused on the fight, Anya throws in a punch but Peter got a hold of her wrist and pulled her over his shoulder in a throw, she landed down on the mat as Peter then tossed a fist down towards Anya, she closes her eyes waiting to be hit but Peter stopped at the last second, Anya still has her eyes close but nothing happened as she opens them up, she see Peter holding his fist close and smiled, he then opens up his fist and offered her his hand, Anya took it and he pulled her up gently as the fight is over, Peter checks out the cut on his lip Anya caused with her headbutt.
Peter smiled as he wipe the blood off. "Not bad, Anya, not bad at all, you got guts I'll give you that."
"Hey, you said not to hold back." Anya smiled.
"True, though you shouldn't flinch in combat. Just remember one thing, fear does not exist in this dojo." Peter made a pop reference.
"Thanks Cobra Kai, I'll keep that in mind." Anya said.
"You got great potential for fighting, that's good, but we'll try to make you even better with some training. Okay, while we wait for the Wrecking Crew to surface, we need to discuss your suit." Peter said.
Anya looks upon herself. "What's wrong with my suit?"
"Nothing's wrong, but wouldn't hurt to get a better one." Peter suggested.
"Are you offering to make me a new suit?" Anya said.
"Yeah, you could say that. Let's go." Peter said.
"Where are we going?" Anya asking.
"To see someone about a new suit, Miles, Gwen, I need you both to wait around if the Wrecking Crew shows up again." Peter said.
"Don't worry, if they show up again, we'll call you." Gwen said.
"Thanks, let's go Anya." Peter walks towards the Spider-Cycles.
"Whoa, these are neat, love to ride these bad boys." Anya likes the Spider-Cycles.
"Sorry Anya, not today." Peter smiled.
"Ah!" Anya moans in disappointed.
Peter hopped onto his Spider-Cycle as Anya hopped on behind him, he puts on his mask and becomes Spider-Man, Anya puts her goggles on and got a hold of Spider-Man as he starts the engine, he rode the Spider-Cycle out of the Spider-Cave through the tunnel until they reached the outside, Spider-Man and Arana are riding the streets of Roosevelt Island heading to see someone about a new suit for Arana.
Time is 5:45 PM in Jersey City at Pym Laboratories, inside the private lab once owned by Hank Pym, his widow Janet Van Dyne is using the place to conduct her operations as the Wasp, but right now she's measuring Anya Corazon for her measurement as Peter brought her to Janet to design a new suit for Anya, Janet is still measuring Anya as she noticed a cut on Peter's lip and got curious how that happened.
"Who gave you that cut?" Janet is curious.
"She did." Peter looking at Anya.
Janet looks stunned. "Her?"
"Lucky hit." Peter smiled.
"Wow, didn't think anyone could land a hit on you, even a little girl like her." Janet smiled.
"I'm not that little, I'm only 15." Anya corrected as she's turning.
"Stay still please, still don't have your measurements yet." Janet holding up the measuring tape.
"Sorry... so you've done all this before? Making suits?" Anya is curious.
"Who do you think made Spidey's new suit?" Janet puts away the tape. "Okay, got everything I need for your new suit."
"Actually, I was wondering if you could make something different for me." Anya said.
"Different how?" Janet said.
"Can you make mines like Spider-Woman? I like her design." Anya said.
"Okay sure, if that's what you want, then I got something to show you." Janet puts away the tape and picks up the tablet to show Anya. "Here are the alternative designs I made for her, go ahead and scroll down till you pick one to your liking."
Anya took the tablet and scrolls down looking at the designs of the Spider-Woman suit, there are so many with different colors and symbols, she first peeked at one that is black with a red spider, then she scroll down the next design that resembles Spider-Man's original suit all red and blue with a black spider, she scroll the next design that is red with a gold spider, she scrolls the next all dark red with a white spider similar to venom's symbol, she kept on scrolling until she found one to her liking.
"This one." Anya points to the design on the tablet.
Janet came up to see the design Anya picked out. "Great choice."
"How long will it take?" Anya asking.
"Normally a suit with extra features would take a couple of days, but I could have a new one with less features done within a couple of hours." Janet said.
"Okay, I'll take it." Anya said as Peter is getting a call and answered it.
"Great, I'll get started, I'll have it done before the day is over." Janet said.
Peter hangs up the phone. "Hey, we gotta go, the Wrecking Crew has surfaced again attacking a restaurant suspected to be a front for the Italian Mob, Gwen and Miles are on their way and need assistance."
"Okay, let's go." Anya said.
Peter and Anya puts on their respective headwear to hide their identities as they're leaving the lab while Janet stayed behind, she got started in using the fabrication machine to make Anya's new suit based on an alternative design of the Spider-Woman suit.
Time is 6:13 PM in New York City in an Italian Restaurant in Little Italy, a lot of people are running out in fear as members of the Maggia are doing their best to stop the Wrecking Crew from causing too much damage to this place, they kept on shooting their guns at Bulldozer stomping and creating seismic waves, but he is resilient against bullets, Thunderball is swinging his wrecking ball and took out several of them, Wrecker is swinging his crowbar at one of the lieutenants leading this group of criminals and taking him down, Bulldozer and Piledriver are working together to cause as much damage as possible.
"All too easy." Piledriver punching with his enlarged fists.
"Don't get too cocky, boys, it's only a matter of time until we've attracted everyone's attention, including his." Wrecker said.
The Wrecking Crew kept up the barrage destroying the restaurant and terrorizing the neighborhood, they continue the destruction until they heard sirens coming from a distance as the NYPD finally arrived outside of the restaurant, officers getting out of their squad cars armed with pistols and shotguns, a SWAT van came up and SWAT officers armed with assault rifles are getting out, an unmarked cruiser came up as Yuri Watanabe is leading this operation wearing a bulletproof vest, all the officers are taking up position outside the restaurant as the Wrecking Crew took a peek outside to see the NYPD has arrived.
"Oh look, it's the Po Po!" Thunderball said.
Yuri Watanabe is holding up the megaphone. "Attention inside, this is the NYPD! Come out of the building and raise your hands up in the air!"
"What do you say? Should we come out?" Piledriver smiled.
"Why not?" Wrecker smiled.
Yuri and the NYPD are holding position outside as a number of press are outside of the barricades including Gilberto Corazon sent by the Globe to report the incident here, coming out of the restaurant is Bulldozer with his hands up in the air until he smiled and caught them off guard, he then charged towards them as they all opened fire upon the supervillain but their bullets are ineffective against his armor, he tackled the cruiser and sent it off the ground as the cops are having trouble containing the situation, the cruiser crashed into a building opposite of the restaurant.
Thunderball and Piledriver both came out and joined in on the fun as Piledriver's fists are enlarged and punched out a few cops as many people in the neighborhood are watching the chaos happening in Little Italy. Thunderball is swinging his wrecking ball hard and knocked another cruiser off the ground as it's flying towards the crowd of people outside the barricade awaiting to be crushed, they all had their eyes close awaiting their deaths, but it never happened as a giant web is formed up and the cruiser is stuck above their heads, coming in swinging down is Ghost-Spider and Kid Arachnid, Yuri and the NYPD are happy the calvary has arrived, the Wrecking Crew sees two heroes here, none of them are Spider-Man.
"How disappointing, Spider-Man sends his two sidekicks to fight and he won't even show himself for a fight." Wrecker said.
"Careful what you wish for, cause you might just get it." Ghost-Spider said.
Coming in swinging down the streets are Spider-Man and Arana as they pass above everyone's head and landed down next to their teammates, everyone is stunned to see that there is now four of them, a new spider hero has joined the Web-Warriors.
"Looks like we're just in time." Spider-Man said.
"Spider-Man, long time no see." Wrecker said.
"I see you guys haven't changed much, still being thugs for hire as always." Spider-Man said.
"We were until you and your friend with the hammer disgraced us, we were the best until you came along and we became the laughing stocks. Now we're back and we finally have a chance for revenge, this time you don't have your friend to save you." Wrecker said.
"I can still take you guys on, I'm not the same guy I was before and I'm not alone this time, I have a team to back me up." Spider-Man said.
"Four against four are great odds." Ghost-Spider said.
"Why don't you guys make it easy on us and surrender?" Kid Arachnid said.
"And pass up this chance for revenge? Like hell!" Thunderball said.
Wrecker swings his enchanted crowbar down on the ground creating a seismic wave towards the Web-Warriors as they all split up, but the wave is reaching towards the crowd as innocent people are scattering away in fear.
"Hey watch it! Someone could've been killed." Spider-Man said.
"Not really our concern, just collateral damage." Wrecker doesn't care.
"How cold." Kid Arachnid said.
"Not personal, it's our job." Wrecker said.
"Well we're about to put you out of business again." Spider-Man said.
"Don't count on it Bug." Wrecker said.
Bulldozer is charging in towards the Web-Warriors as each of them splits up and engages against each of the Wrecking Crew, Kid Arachnid is doing some backflips as Bulldozer is chasing until the hero disappeared right before him, Bulldozer stopped as he lost sight of the hero, he's looking around trying to find him, he heard footsteps coming from his right side as he swings his arm around but he missed, he then hears footstep from his left side as he swings his arm again and missed, Bulldozer is getting ticked off as Kid Arachnid is just taunting him.
Bulldozer growing. "WHERE ARE YOU?!"
Bulldozer then got zapped by so much venom electricity from behind until he went out cold and collapsed down on the ground, Kid Arachnid finally appears standing over a defeated Bulldozer.
"I'm right here, one down." Kid Arachnid said.
Ghost-Spider is bobbing and weaving as Piledriver is trying to land a punch with his enlarged fists, Ghost-Spider finally got her back against the wall as Piledriver continues the barrage as his fists are missing and punching the bricks on the wall, breaking them, Ghost-Spider then counters with a strong uppercut as Piledriver flew up and landed upon the wrecked cruiser, she webbed him up for good measure, she looks to see Bulldozer is down thanks to Kid Arachnid.
"Two down, two to go." Ghost-Spider said.
Thunderball is swinging his wrecking ball trying to hit Spider-Man but the hero is too fast and agile, Spider-Man stopped his backflips and fired some webbing at the villain who then spins the ball around forming a shield blocking the incoming webbing, he then swings the ball down as Spider-Man flips back and the ball impacted the ground hard, Spidey then jumps and wraps his leg around, performing the hurricanrana and flips the villain down hard on the ground, Thunderball attempts to get back up but Spider-Man strikes with a martelo de negativa, Thunderball got knocked out cold and Spidey webbed him up.
"Three down, only one left." Spider-Man said.
Arana is still engaged in combat against Wrecker, the leader of the Wrecking Crew, as he's swinging his crowbar around trying to hit the new hero, even though this is her first time teaming up with the Web-Warriors she's able to hold her own against someone like him, the three heroes are wondering if they should help her out but she seems to be doing alright by herself. Wrecker swings his crowbar too close to her head until she duck down and she does the back sweep kick, she knocked him off his feet and he fell down on his back, Wrecker is still focus as he swings his crowbar but she backflips out of the way and webbed up the crowbar, she yanked it off his hands and disarmed him, Arana webbed him up and got a hold of the crowbar, Wrecker is trapped unable to break out.
"And you make four." Arana holding Wrecker's crowbar.
Wrecker growls unable to break the webs. "This isn't possible, you're just a girl."
"Not just any girl, a Spider-Girl." Arana calling herself Spider-Girl.
Arana looks around to see the rest of the Wrecking Crew are taken care of thanks to her teammates, Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, and Kid Arachnid all gave her a thumbs up for her work in defeating Wrecker, she's definitely got what it takes to be a hero, a lot of people including the NYPD and the press are clapping for the Web-Warriors success in taking down the Wrecking Crew, Arana sees that her father is among the crowd, she's fortunate that she's in disguise and he doesn't recognize his daughter, her secret is safe. Unknown to the Web-Warriors, Madame Web is among the crowd too wearing a coat as she smiled to see that the team is complete before she walks away.

A number of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are at the scene taking the Wrecking Crew into custody for their crimes in vandalism and destruction of public properties awaiting to be transported to the Raft, Damage Control are there as well fixing up the neighborhood of all the damages the supervillains have caused, paramedics tending to the wounded customers at the restaurants, the Web-Warriors are on the rooftop overlooking the scene being cleaned and taken care off.
"Well, now that we're done here, why don't we go eat and celebrate to Arana's success?" Spider-Man said.
"I'm down with that, I know this decent place in Brooklyn I like to go to." Arana said.
"Sure, let's go." Spider-Man said.
"Any ideas who might be behind all these attacks?" Ghost-Spider is curious.
"All the places hit were controlled by organized crime, someone hired this crew to disrupt their businesses, this seemed to have the hallmarks of someone with a vested interested in controlling everything." Spider-Man has his suspicions.
"Someone we've crossed paths before." Ghost-Spider shares her suspicions.
"Are you guys talking about who I think you're talking about?" Kid Arachnid made a guess.
"Or someone connected to him, but either way we'll find out who it is and stop him one day." Spider-Man said.
Time is 7:01 PM at Fisk Industries, at the office owned by Richard Fisk, son of Wilson Fisk AKA the Kingpin, is watching the recent news about the Wrecking Crew's attack in Little Italy and now in custody thanks to the Web-Warriors and their newest member, Richard isn't too happy to see the Wrecking Crew defeated at the hands of his father's enemies since he's the one who orchestrated theses attacks.
"Here in Little Italy a restaurant was hit by these criminals calling themselves the Wrecking Crew was responsible for a series of destruction around the five boroughs, but thanks to the Web-Warriors, they're finally in custody and the city is safe once again, with the newest addition to their team things are looking to improve with more heroes out there protecting the city."
Richard turns off the TV and puts the remote down on his desk, his personal phone is ringing as he recognized the number, it's from Riker Prison, he only knows one person who would call him from there, his father.
Richard answered the call. "Hello father."
"Hello son, I've seen the news, these attacks on those places, I know this was you." Wilson Fisk said.
"It was me, I was hoping to prove myself by breaking apart all my rival's businesses enough for my power grab, not to worry, they can't trace this back to me, I've been very careful covering my tracks." Richard Fisk said.
"I've taught you well, don't despair son, your rival enemies are now crippled, this will only slow them down not stop 'em, but this will provide you an opportunity to expand your business while they're still in recovery, play the long game Richard, soon you shall rise to the top and many will come to fear your name." Wilson Fisk gave some encouragement.
"I won't disappoint you father." Richard Fisk said.
"I know you won't, stay on course... Rose." Wilson Fisk said before hanging up.
Richard puts away his phone as he's still has ambitions in taking over the city, now that the Wrecking Crew crippled his enemies operations, it'll give him an opportunity to expand his power while they're still down, he plans to make his father proud by becoming the crimelord called the Rose.
Later around 7:39 PM in Brooklyn at a Mexican restaurant, latin music is playing everywhere as Peter, Gwen, Miles, and Anya are chowing down after a day of fighting the Wrecking Crew, they're having some tacos and drinking horchata as they seem to be enjoying the food here celebrating their success in taking down the bad guys and welcoming their newest addition to the team, the TV is showing news about the new hero making a name for herself and her success in aiding the heroes, she calls herself Spider-Girl.
Peter chews and shallows. "Mmm, this is great."
Gwen finished drinking from her cup. "This horchata is good too."
Miles took a bite and chews. "Mmm, what kind of tacos is this?"
"My favorite, Tacos de Cabeza." Anya said.
"Tacos de Cabeza... what does that mean?" Miles is unfamiliar.
"Seriously? You still don't know Spanish?" Gwen is surprised.
"I'm still practicing, still don't know all the words. So what does Cabeza mean?" Miles said.
"If I tell you, you probably won't still be eating it." Anya smiled.
"Either way, it's still good. You seemed to have a great joy coming here to dine." Peter said.
"I come here every now and then after school, they make decent Mexican cuisine here." Anya said.
"Oh, I forgot, Ganke sent me this video link made by Danika, it's about you, check this out." Miles is holding up the phone playing the video.
"Hey, this is Danika from Danikast, as everyone already heard there's a new spider hero in town calling herself Spider-Girl and apparently she's a part of the Web-Warriors, the heroes were successful in taking down this Wrecking Crew thanks to a little Spider-Girl power, we can all sleep better knowing there's an extra hero protecting the little guy, let's all give an applause for her, GO SPIDER-GIRL!" Danika broadcasting from YouTube.
"Technically I call myself Arana, but Spider-Girl's got a ring to it." Anya likes the name better.
"Better get use to it, cause now everyone knows your name." Gwen said.
"I never imagine this would happen, to think that last week I was just an ordinary girl living with her dad thinking about school until I woke up one morning and gained powers just like you, it gave me an opportunity to help people in a way you did, made me feel like being a hero." Anya said.
"And you did, you saved me from certain death, risked your life for mines, from what I've seen so far you've definitely got the heart of a hero, Anya Corazon." Peter smiled.
Anya smiled. "If I'm a hero, it's thanks to you, you changed everything from me from the day you save my life last year, you inspired me to toughen up, and now I got these powers and felt like I have a responsibility to use them to help people."
"With Great Power come Great Responsibility." Peter quotes his uncle.
Peter smiled until he got a vibrate on his phone and he pulls it out to check out the text.
"Trouble?" Gwen is curious.
"No, it's Janet, she told that Anya's new suit is all done and dropped off at the Spider-Cave." Peter said.
"My suit is done?" Anya said.
"Yeah, want to go and check it out?" Peter said.
"Sure, I'm all finished here." Anya is done eating.
"Let's go." Peter gets up and left the tip.
Peter, Gwen, Miles, and Anya are walking out of the Mexican restaurant and walking down the streets, Anya came up to her personal pink Vespa she brought here as she hops on along with Miles, Peter and Gwen are surprised to see Anya owns and driver a scooter.
"That's your scooter?" Peter said.
"Sure is, sorry I can't take everyone on it." Anya said.
"That's okay, we got our own ride." Peter said.
Peter points out towards the red Sportster parked on the other side of the street, Anya's eyes widen upon seeing a motorcycle owned by Peter.
"Whoa, that's a Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200." Anya is stunned.
"Huh, I see you know your bikes." Peter said.
"I love motorcycles." Anya smiled.
"Glad to hear it, let's go." Peter smiled.
Around the same time at the Daily Globe, the newspaper tabloid that is rivals with the Daily Bugle, the place works in the same fashion as the Bugle but it's employees operate differently, the place is run by their editor-in-cheif Barney Bushkin speaking in his office with Gilberto Corazon, his investigative journalist, speaking about the emergence of a new hero calling her Spider-Girl as Gilberto is giving the details of everything happened today, he's liking the detail but lacks the decent picture for the paper.
"So there's another hero in town, how interesting. Is she the real deal?" Barney Bushkin said.
"She's very real, she made quite a reputation in these past few days, now she's a part of Spider-Man's team, she's big news." Gilberto Corazon said.
"Would've helped if we had a decent picture of her along with those heroes, would've help sale papers big time, too bad we don't have a photographer on staff capable of getting one, I heard the Bugle's got someone who somehow get good photos of the hero." Barney Bushkin said.
"I heard of him, Peter Parker, been taking photos of Spider-Man for three years for the Bugle, too bad we don't have him on staff." Gilberto Corazon said.
"Maybe because we haven't offered to pay more than the Bugle and that's exactly what we should be doing, I'll put out an ad offering more money for the pics of the Spider-Man, hopefully he'll get the message and change his mind." Barney Bushkin said.
"That's not a bad idea boss." Gilberto Corazon said.
"Thank you for the story Gilberto, you never cease to disappoint men." Barney Bushkin said.
"Appreciate the compliment, excuse me." Gilberto Corazon said.
Gilberto left the office and went to his own office space as he's got a lot on him mind, in his space is a computer, a mug, a photo of himself with his late wife Sofia and their five year old daughter Anya, he got a glimpse of Spider-Girl from a distance, he can't quite figure out why she's on his mind, something about her seemed familiar like he knows her from somewhere, whatever it is he's going to look into it and find out who she is.
Time is 8:10 PM at the Spider-Cave, Peter, Gwen, and Miles are all wearing their respective costumes as they're awaiting Anya to come out of the bathroom after she's done changing into her new suit, on the table is her Arana outfit she wore today and now traded in favor of a new suit, Ganke Lee is here as well as he's waiting with Miles who is checking out a text he's got from the new girl Tiana, it quotes "Thanks for showing around Miles, I guess this makes us friends", Miles smiled as he took a liking to Tiana, meanwhile Peter and Gwen are still waiting wondering what's taking Anya so long.
"Is everything okay in there, Anya?" Gwen asking.
"Yeah, I'm still not used to putting on a fancy suit like this." Anya still in the bathroom.
"Okay, take your time." Peter said.
"Looks like the team is taking on another member, never imagine Anya would end up becoming one of you." Ganke Lee said.
"Neither did I, back then Anya was just a regular high school girl who ended up become friends with us and nows she's a hero like me, still trying to process it." Miles said.
"I get you, Miles, it was the same way for me when I found out Gwen was Ghost-Spider, it was difficult at first and we hit some bump in our relationship but eventually I came to accept her for who she is, a hero, you just need to accept Anya for the person she is now." Peter gave some advice.
Miles smiled until he and his friends sees Anya Corazon coming out of the bathroom all dressed up in her new Spider-Girl suit, all black with a white spider in the middle, it's based off the Spider-Woman design as her mouth is visible along with her hair all tied up in a ponytail, Anya takes off her mask and shows herself to her friends.
"Well, how do I look?" Anya in her new suit.
"Like a hero, welcome to the team, Spider-Girl, congratulations." Peter smiled.
Anya felt happy that she's now part of something bigger, a team of heroes.
"Hey, why don't you guys get together for a photo?" Ganke Lee suggested.
"Great idea, use my camera, it's in my backpack." Peter said.
Peter, Gwen, Miles, and Anya all got together in their respective suits they're wearing as Ganke is pulling out Peter's camera and has it pointed towards the four heroes standing together.
Ganke aiming the camera. "Okay, say GO SPIDEY!"
"GO SPIDEY!" Peter, Gwen, Miles, and Anya all said together.
Ganke snapped the photo of the Web-Warriors together on this day, Anya is now officially part of this team, this is day Spider-Girl was born.
