This is the life story of Peter Parker as the legendary hero Spider-Man. This will explore his destiny as a hero as he goes on the most difficult journey, he'll faces off against all sorts of danger and saving lives, he'll meet and team up with other heroes like himself in his long quest to becoming the greatest hero of all time.

80. IV: The Uncanny X-Men

Volume IV: The Uncanny X-Men

This will be the fifth chapter of Volume IV, this will introduce a team of mutants called the X-Men consisting Professor X, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Iceman, and Rogue as they're part of a school in Westchester called the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters which is a school for a subspecies of humans called mutants, the X-Men will cross paths with the Web-Warriors to stop a mutant terrorist called Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutant from assassinating Senator Robert Kelly, a member of the Mutant Affairs committee, who plans to initiate a new law to expose mutants all across the country and making their presence known public as someone close to him will use this law to initiate a new program to hunt down mutants. Xavier and the X-Men's goals are to fight for mutant rights and to peacefully co-exist with the rest of humanity, they use their mutant gifts for good and teaches other mutants to do the same, it's a long fight that'll take years to accomplish and not an easy one given all the fear and hate they've received , something Spider-Man can understand too well but respects their efforts for change. Spider-Man forms a new friendship with the X-Men, Cyclops is quite antagonistic towards Spider-Man at first but came to accept him as an ally, Iceman has taken an interest in Spider-Man in a way he's yet to be aware, but came to accept his friendship in the end as they plan to have future team ups in the future.

It's September 18th around 9 PM at the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C., a man name Robert Kelly, a U.S. Senator representing his state of New York, is walking down the hallway with his aide Henry Gyrich as they've arrived in a private conference room surrounded by fellow senators and government officials as they're all part of a private group of officials called the Mutant Affairs Committee, the doors closed behind them as this meeting is private and no one knows about the existence of this committee, not officially anyway, his fellow committee member are getting up upon the arrival of Senator Kelly.

"Gentlemen, glad you all could make the time for this meeting, please take a seat." Senator Kelly said.

Everyone sat back down as Senator Kelly is about to make an announcement on how to keep the mutant population in line and to make everyone aware of what they're capable of, among the aides is a woman who seem shady and fixated on what the senator is planning for mutants.

"As many of you are all aware, the issue in keeping the mutants in check is failing us in these past few years due to the rise of many people with powers, mutates and now these Inhumans, we've done our best to conceal their existence for years but now it's impossible, every time these mutants shows off their abilities, we the Mutant Affairs Committee, have spent millions and millions in dollars to cover it up and bribing witnesses into silence to keep the public from knowing about the mutants." Senator Kelly explained the issue with mutants.

"I'm sorry Senator Kelly, I'm not following you, we know that none of these beings chose to be born with these gifts, we can't condone them if they can't control or conceal them."

"Perhaps, but recently everything has changed." Senator Kelly said.

Senator Kelly turns on the TV screen in the room showing off the events of Spider-Island that happened three weeks ago and the involvement of the Spider-Queen, AKA Adriana Soria whom is identified as a mutant.

"Last month there was an incident in New York, a young woman calling herself the Spider-Queen was responsible for the chaos that happened, we believe this woman was Adriana Soria, a mutant. What happened last month is merely a taste of what is to come, even the though the population is completely unaware of the involvement of a mutant, we can't keep this hidden for too long as there is a group of mutant extremist out there causing trouble and another group of mutants fighting against them, it is unclear what their agenda is, the point is we need to do something new, gentlemen it's time for a change." Senator Kelly explained the dangers of mutants.

"What kind of change, Senator?"

"The American people deserves to know now more than ever that mutants exists and we need to put the mutants in check by any means necessary, what I'm proposing is a new act to identifying mutants all across the county, I call it the Mutant Registration Act, we need to know who they are and what they can do." Senator Kelly revealed his agenda.

"Exposing mutants to the world?"

"Yes, for too long we've keep this private, no more, now we need to make this public more than ever, we can't be caught unaware anymore, this time we need to be prepared for what's soon to come, the world has changed, now it's time for it to change again. I'm going to propose this act before the senate next week, but before that I'll make an announcement at the U.N. tomorrow night, I'll be heading off to New York City tomorrow, soon the whole world will learn about the existence of mutants." Senator Kelly finished explaining his agenda.

Senator Kelly and his aide Gyrich are now taking their leave after the Senator revealed to the committee that he's about to reveal the existence of mutants to the world in hopes to gain a lot of attention and the Senate's approval needed for his Mutant Registration Act, he plans to identify every mutant across the country and find out what each of them can do in order to gain the upper edge against them. A lot of senators and aides are walking out of the room after Kelly made his announcement to the committee, the female aide is walking alone from everyone as her eyes briefly turned yellow before turning back to regular color, she's secretly something else.

Kelly and Gyrich are coming outside of the Capitol and walking down the stairs towards their vehicles as the Senator hops into his car and drives away, Gyrich stays behind as he's alone and pulls out his phone making a call to someone.

"Bolivar Trask here." Trask answered from his side.

"It's Gyrich, just left the meeting after the Senator has finished introducing his new bill to the committee, everything is going as planned." Gyrich explained the situation.

"Excellent, once the bill has passed, we'll be able to start our hunt in finding these mutants and eliminating the problem for all of humanity." Trask said.

"I take it you have a solution for it." Gyrich said.

"I've been working on something for over a year, but we still need to wait until the bill is passed before I unveil my solution to protect humanity." Trask said.

"Not to worry, the Senator is about to make the existence of mutants become public before the UN tomorrow, enough to stir up the Anti-Mutant hysteria, once everyone learns about how dangerous mutants are and what they're capable of, the government will be forced to take matters into keep them in check, the bill will pass soon, I can guarantee it." Gyrich smiled sinisterly.

"For humanity." Trask said.

"For humanity." Gyrich hangs up the phone.

A car pulled up as Gyrich enters it to head on home for the night, the man is secretly working closely with the Senator who shares his views on Anti-Mutant sentiments to work his own agenda with Bolivar Trask in eliminating the mutant problem their own way. Coming out the Capitol is a woman who was in the room with the committee, she's walking far away from the building until she found someplace private to hide herself, she pulls out a comm device making contact with her leader, she then forms back to her original form, a blue skinned woman with red hair and yellow eyes clad in a white outfit, she's a shapeshifter called Mystique, a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants.

"Magnus, it's me, Mystique I got something urgent to share." Mystique said.

"I'm listening."

"Senator Kelly has put his plan in motion in exposing all mutants, he's about to initiate a new bill to register mutants and their powers." Mystique said.

"This cannot be, it's bad enough humanity fears us, now they want to control us, we can't let it happen, we need to put a stop to this before he can legitimatize his new bill."

"You'll get your chance soon enough, the Senator is leaving tomorrow for the UN in New York City, he's about to make mutants public before the world." Mystique said.

"Tomorrow will be the day we make our move too, for all mutantkind."

"For all mutantkind." Mystique said.

Mystique cuts transmission as she transforms back to her aide's disguise and walks away after making contact with her leader who plans to take drastic measure to ensure the Senator doesn't deliver on endangering and exposing all mutants.

It's September 19th, time is 2:43 PM in New York City at Empire State University, a bio-chemistry class is in session as Peter and Gwen are sitting together listening to Dr. Curtis Connors teaching his class and explaining about the importance on mutation and how it lead to their evolution as a species, Peter and Gwen have been adjusting well to college life since they've started a couple weeks ago, they continue to listen as Peter has taken an interest in what Dr. Connors say on mutation as it reminded him of someone who is born as a result of an unusual mutation.

"Mutation: It is the key to our evolution, it has enabled us to evolve from a single-celled organism into the dominant species of the planet. This process is slow, and normally taking thousands and thousands of years, but every few hundred millennia, evolution leaps forward." Dr. Connors talks about evolution.

"Into us, back when we're all cavemen." Harry smiled as the class laughed.

"I wouldn't mind seeing an actual caveman, I heard they were pretty wild and hot back then." Lily Hollister jokes as the class laughed again.

Dr. Connors smiled. "If you're all done with the cavemen jokes, it's get back to the topic, it's thanks to mutation that we're all the human beings we are now, but mutation still exists as we're still in the evolutionary chain await to undergo evolution once more, is humanity ready to evolve or have we already gone through it, there are many mysteries in the world of science awaiting to be solved..."

All of a sudden the school bell rang as its now 2:45 PM and class has ended for the day.

"Okay, we're all done for the day, remember to study tonight." Dr. Connors said.

Everyone collected their stuff and walks out of class as their time, Peter and Gwen are walking around campus and leaving school for the day heading towards the parking lot as Gwen could tell that there's something on Peter's mind, he's been like this since Dr. Connors talks about mutation that got his attention.

"Something on your mind?" Gwen is curious.

"Yeah, I was just thinking about what Dr. Connors said about mutation." Peter said.

"Didn't know this subject would peak your curiosity as a scholar." Gwen said.

"It's much more than that." Peter said.

"What do you mean?" Gwen said.

"I was thinking about what Ana Soria said about her origins." Peter said.

"The Spider-Queen?" Gwen said.

"She told me that here powers are a result of a unique mutation, she was born with them." Peter said.

"What? How is that possible?" Gwen is stunned.

"I don't know, but after she died, I took a sample of her blood to be studied, her DNA chain contains a unknown gene that is unlike anything I've ever seen before." Peter explained.

"So she's not an enhanced or an Inhuman, but something else entirely." Gwen said.

"I think that there are many things in this world we still have yet to learn, I think that Ana is one of them." Peter said.

"Well, we'll have to figure it out another time, just got a call from Robbie this morning, he said that he's in need of a photographer at tonight's summit." Peter said.

"The UN summit in New York." Gwen said.

"The same, though I don't know if I'll make the time given that trouble might occur during that same time." Peter said.

"Well, you have some time to decide, come on, Anya and Miles texted me, they'll meet us at the Spider-Cave." Gwen said.

"Let's not disappoint them." Peter said.

Peter and Gwen are in the parking lot as they've arrived at the bike they rode on together, Peter hop onto the front while Gwen rides in the back, they both put on their helmets as Peter starts the engines, they rode out of the parking lot and leaving the university.

Time is 3 PM at JFK airport in Queens, the whole airport is packed with press as a number of secret service men are escorting Senator Robert Kelly and his aide Henry Gyrich through the gate towards the limo as the crowd is waving to the man, the senator smiled and waved back at the crowd before entering the limo with his aide, the limo drives away from the airport escorted by the NYPD, the convoy is driving through Queens and continues on until they're about to enter the Queensboro Bridge as Gyrich is on the phone making arrangements for the Senator to speak before the UN tonight.

Gyrich hangs up the phone. "Everything is set for tonight, Senator."

"Good, the sooner the world learns about mutants, the sooner people will come to fear them, we can't these beings run around doing as they please, if we can keep them in line here in our country, the rest of the world will learn to do the same." Senator Kelly said.

"After what happened last month, a mutant taking over New York City, everyone is bound to give into your ideas." Gyrich said.

"That's the plan, what happened last month was just the beginning of the many horrors mutants bring into the world, there is a war coming and humanity needs to be ready to stay a step ahead for it's own survival, it's the reason people like me exist." Senator Kelly said.

All of a sudden the limo stopped as they have no idea what's the delay.

"That's strange, there shouldn't be a delay in our route." Gyrich is concerned.

The convoy couldn't advanced forwards as there are many car stopped in their places as many of the drivers are unable to drive them any further, something is keeping them from moving forward, the NYPD and servicemen came out to see that many people are running away from something as the Senator is looking out his limo window to see many people running back away from the bridge like they're fleeing something or someone.

"What the hell is going on?" Senator Kelly is worried.

All of a sudden cars are moving sideways away from each other as someone is levitating in the air dressed in some kind of red and purple suit in a cape and a helmet, walking down the bridge is five more mutants, one of them is the shapeshifter Mystique, a tall guy with sharp teeth and claws with fur, a very fat overweigh man and a light green skinned guy walking oddly, and a guy strapped with a fuel tank on his back armed with flamethrowers around his arms, the Senator and his aide can look ahead of the limo from where they are to see one of them hovering in the air and figured out who they are.

"Oh god, it's them." Senator Kelly feared the worst.

(Spider-Cave)

Around the same time at the Spider-Cave on Roosevelt Island, everyone is wearing workout clothes as Anya is practicing her capoeira kicks she learned from Peter Parker who's been training her for two weeks since she joined the team, Gwen and Miles are observing Anya kicking the dummies while being flexible and are impressed with how much Anya has progressed in her training, even more easily than what the other three been through with their own training, Anya then performed the martelo de negativa technique on the dummy and knocked it down with force.

Anya stands back smiling after showing off. "Ha! How was that?!"

"Impressive, but don't overdo it, if you put too much force into your attacks, it could be fatal, have some restraint while in combat." Peter said.

"Sorry, I'll keep that in mind." Anya said.

"Don't worry, this is just practice. I'm impressed how easily you've progressed, even more so than any of us." Peter said.

"Had some training of my own, after I was kidnapped by the Tracksuit, I needed to protect myself and be strong, so I took some training from Kate Bishop." Anya said.

"The heiress?" Gwen said.

"Yeah, she took martial arts after the incident and offered to teach me to protect myself, I learned plenty under her." Anya explained where she learned martial arts.

"Looks like those lessons paid off." Peter said.

All of a sudden the supercomputer in the Spider-Cave is beeping red as it's getting an alert of something happening right now, everyone stop training and went to check out what's going on, Peter made it to the keyboard to check out the update.

"What do we got, Pete?" Miles asking.

"Something is going on right now and it's not very far from here." Peter said.

"Where?" Miles said.

"The Queensboro bridge, a convoy escorting a US Senator is under attack by a group of enhanced individuals." Peter said.

"How many?" Gwen said.

"Six, all very dangerous, we need to move now, suit up!" Peter tells the team.

The team all rush to get their respective suits and began suiting up for battle.

(Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters)

Meanwhile in Upstate New York in Westchester County exists a school called the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, the place is packed with a number of young men and women all hanging around both on the grounds and inside the manor itself, everyone here is mutants each gifted with their own mutant abilities, meanwhile in the living room a young woman with brown hair with white streaks is play pool while a group of kids are watching the news being broadcasted by helicopter including older students Jean Grey, Scott Summers, and Bobby Drake, all around 18 years old are watching something happening right now in New York City at the Queensboro Bridge.

"We're here live hovering around the Queensboro Bridge where a convoy escorting Senator Robert Kelly is under attack by a group of unknown men, each of them seemed to exhibit powers, the NYPD and Secret Service are doing everything they can to hold them back but these assailants proven to be too much for them to handle."

Rogue stopped playing pool as she saw the news, the camera from the copter is recording the events live right now at the Queensboro Bridge as they've zoomed in to see a group of six mutants causing a scene, Rogue knows this group too well, one of them is very familiar to the others, coming into the living room in a hoverchair is the headmaster of this school, Professor Charles Xavier along with his fellow teacher Dr. Hank McCoy who is all blue and bestial, Xavier is stunned to find his old friend Magneto on live TV causing trouble.

"Professor, is that..." Jean Grey said.

"Yes, it's him... suit up and get to the Blackbird." Professor Xavier said.

"Let's go." Hank McCoy said.

Hank McCoy is leading the team as Jean Grey, Scott Summers, Bobby Drake, and Anna Marie follows for battle, they went down to the subterranean levels of the mansion where they conduct their secret operations as a team of mutants dedicated in using their gifts for good, they each arrived at the lockers to suit up, the brown hair guy takes off his red sunglasses and kept his eyes closes as he puts on a special kind of visor, next is a redhead dressing up in a green outfit, the brunette put on a jacket over a green and yellow suit, a blonde guy dressing up in a blue and black suit, the blue fur guy is wearing a trunk as he's walking beside his teammates heading towards the underground landing pad where a black stealth plane called the Blackbird is parked. Everyone on the basketball court got the alert to clear out as they rushed away, it opens up as a big stealth jet is rising up and taking off from the courtyard, the Blackbird is flying away.

(Queensboro Bridge)

Back at the bridge as the battle still continues on, Toad is jump around on car as he's spitting slime upon the officers shooting and blinding them, Blob is picking up a squad car and tossed it towards another squad car as Pyro then unleashed flames out of his thrower and uses his ability to manipulate the flames into a form a ball as the squad cars blew up upon contact and the officers all retreated, the servicemen all shot their guns at Magneto but the bullets all stopped all of sudden as they never touched him as he's protected by a force field of magnetic energy, Magneto then uses his powers of magnetism to redirect the bullets back at the servicemen as they're all injured by their own bullets suffering from flesh wounds.

Senator Kelly and Gyrich are troubled how easily these mutants were able to best NYPD's and the Service's finest with their powers, the door was ripped wide open as Sabretooth is the one who caused it, he grabbed and dragged the senator out by force and present him before the leader, Magneto is hovering down closely to come face to face with the man who threatens all mutants.

"You don't seem too surprised to see us, Senator." Magneto said.

"You're them, you're all mutants." Senator Kelly said.

"Brilliant deduction, Senator." Magneto said.

"What do you want?" Senator Kelly said.

"You know exactly why we're here, what you're planning." Magneto said.

Senator Kelly looks stunned. "You know about my agenda, don't you?"

"Your agenda to expose mutantkind to the world and to keep them in line, we're well aware, your agenda endangers all my kind, it's something we cannot allow." Magneto said.

"If you're going to kill me, do it, you'll be making me a martyr, you'll prove to everyone that I was right about your kind, you're all dangerous." Senator Kelly said.

"Typical homo sapiens, always fear what you don't understand, I wouldn't restore to this method, but people like you push me to this, I do what needs to be done for mutantkind's survive. Sabretooth, finish him off." Magneto gave the kill order.

Sabretooth stands before the Senator pulling out his claws from his fingertips about to perform the assassination on Kelly, he thrust his claws until a webbing was fired and wrapped itself around Sabretooth's hand and divert his strike, he missed. Spider-Man came in swinging and took the Senator away to safety, Henry Gyrich got out of the lime until he got caught and swing away by Kid Arachnid, the heroes took the senator and his aide to a safe distance away from the fight, Senator Kelly is relieved that his life was saved as Ghost-Spider and Spider-Girl joined up with their teammates.

Spider-Man turns to the Senator. "Run, get to safety. We'll hold them off."

Senator Kelly and Gyrich are making their escape from the bridge while the Web-Warriors stayed behind to hold off the Brotherhood, Magneto is disappointed that he lost his chance to take the senator off the board thanks to the intervention of the local heroes, Spider-Man has never seen villains like these before, these are different from the others he came across before.

"Who are you guys supposed to be?" Spider-Man said.

"You shouldn't be here, step aside hero, I have no quarrel with you." Magneto demands.

"I can't do that, now I'll ask again, who are you and what do you want with the senator?" Spider-Man said.

"I'm quite surprised you've haven't heard of us yet, we're not like the other superpower beings you've fought against, we're something much more, we're the next stage in evolution and that man you saved, he threatens our entire existence, that's something we cannot allow, he must be eliminated. So for the last time, stand aside or die." Magneto making his threats.

"Can't let you take a life." Spider-Man refused.

"A pity, then you all shall die, kill em!" Magneto said.

The rest of the brotherhood charged in to fight the Web-Warriors head on, Pyro is the first to unleash is flames that turned into a dragon as the Web-Warriors scattered away from the flames, Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, and Spider-Girl are surprised to see that the fire dragon is moving and trying to hit them, Pyro is focusing on the flames on the three heroes but one of them is missing, Kid Arachnid came out invisible and strikes Pyro in the face, knocking him down out cold, the flame dragon dispersed the moment Pyro lost focus, Blob is tossing a car towards Kid Arachnid as the hero jumps away, meanwhile Sabretooth is jumping up and tackled Spider-Man in mid air as they came crashing down upon a car, Spider-Man has his back on the hood as Sabretooth attempts to thrust his claw down but the hero shoot a web line and zipped away from the car before he lost his life, Sabretooth roar like a tiger.

"Hey, bad kitty!" Spider-Man said.

Spider-Man fired a couple of web lines past Sabretooth as he pulls and came in fast for a slingshot kick and knocked down the mutant with force, meanwhile Kid Arachnid is still in a fight against Blob as the hero throws in some punches at Blob's body, but it took in the impact without any damage as he can take it any punch Kid Arachnid throws.

Blob chuckles. "That's tickles... hey!"

Blob strikes back with a super strong punch and knocked Kid Arachnid back against a car with so much force, Kid Arachnid felt so much pain as the Blob didn't even feel any pain at all, Blob then walks over and took Kid Arachnid, he began to squeeze the hero to crush his entire body as Kid Arachnid can feel the pain in his bones being squeezed, he then resorted to unleashing a mega venom blast, Blob is screaming as he's being zapped with so much voltage until he lost consciousness and fell back down and loosen Kid Arachnid, the hero exhausted himself from the voltage drain and the pain of almost being crushed to death.

"Did that tickle, Tubby?" Kid Arachnid said.

Ghost-Spider is fighting against a blue skinned woman called Mystique who is incredibly flexible and a very skilled fighter, she executed a flash kick and kicked Ghost-Spider off the ground, Spider-Man sees that Ghost-Spider is in for a fight as he decides to intervened, Mystique caught on as Ghost-Spider got back up and tackles Mystique, they're both rolling on the ground as Mystique is shapeshifting into Ghost-Spider as they got back on their feet and they're mixed up as Spider-Man can't tell which one is which. Ghost-Spider thought of something as she then fired off webbing as another Ghost-Spider ducks down and does the sweep kick, Ghost-Spider fell down as Spider-Man fired off webbing off his own and wrapped the other Ghost-Spider who then shape-shifts back to her original form, Ghost-Spider does the martelo de negativa and kicked Mystique down hard as Spider-Man joins up next to her.

"Nice job taking down the smurf." Spider-Man jokes.

Meanwhile Spider-Girl is still engaged in combat against Toad as the mutant is hoping around chasing after her, firing off his slime at her but her spider sense alerted her and she jumped up high, she fired back her organic webbing and it stick to his face, blinding him, Spider-Girl came in for a drop kick and kicked the mutant down on the ground, the Web-Warrior took down five mutants as Magneto is the only one left standing.

"You took down my brothers, I'm impressed." Magneto said.

"Why not make it easy for yourself and surrender." Spider-Man said.

Magneto isn't too worried as he demonstrate the full power of his mutant ability, he's unleashing his magnetism to manipulate the metal around him by lifting cars up in the air along with anything metal as the Web-Warriors are stunned to see what he's capable of, he sent the cars down towards the heroes as they all scatter and dodged the incoming barrage, Magneto smiled as he can sense some metal on them, Spider-Man unleashed his spider legs from his back to boost his movement, he found an opening and charged towards Magneto but the mutant stopped Spider-Man in his place by controlling the metal from his legs, Spidey isn't able to proceed further as Magneto spotted Ghost-Spider coming his way, he then turns Spider-Man around and tossed him towards Ghost-Spider as they collided with each other, Magneto then forced the legs around Spider-Man's back to trap him and Ghost-Spider together.

Spider-Girl is jumping through the floating car Magneto is using to protect himself, she sees Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider are trapped together, Magneto then forced a support beam from the bridge to attack Spider-Girl as she's caught and wrapped tight, she's unable to break out, Magneto sees that only three heroes are neutralize, one of them is out of sight, Magneto then sensed something as he used his powers to stop Kid Arachnid who tried to reach the mutant, but his hands is trapped for some reason as his webshooter are metal, his arms stretched out as he's unable to move and he de-cloaks himself, all four Web-Warriors are trapped and powerless at the hands of Magneto, the rest of the brotherhood are getting back up to see their leader overpowered the heroes thanks to his magnetism.

"Very impressive, but pointless, though I applaud your efforts, but now this where it all ends for you." Magneto said.

Magneto then picked up sharp pieces of metals and have the Web-Warriors moved to their line of sight for the kill, all four heroes are powerless and unable to break free as they await their deaths, Magneto then sent the sharp metals to kill them until they all stopped in their place as the heroes has no idea why they stop, even Magneto is having trouble moving them as someone or something has control, Magneto and the rest of the brotherhood look up to see the Blackbird up in the air with the ramp opened and Jean Grey focusing her telekinesis to keep the metals from killing the hero, she saved their lives in time, coming onto the ramp is Cyclops as he unleashed a beam of red energy from his visor and hits Magneto, knocking him off the air and he lost focus on his powers, the Web-Warriors all broke free and drop down, landing on their feet to see a jet up in the air.

"Who are they?" Ghost-Spider is curious.

The brotherhood recognized them as their enemies as Pyro unleashed flames from his throwers as Iceman is coming to the ramp and unleashed beams of sub zero ice from his hands as the opposing forces collided and cancelled each other out, Beast and Rogue are coming onto the ramp as Jean Grey uses her telekinesis to lower herself and her teammates down to the bridge as the Web-Warriors can see that this mysterious team has powers just like the villains, these team of mutants joined up with the Web-Warriors. The brotherhood isn't too surprised to see them as they're very familiar with them, Mystique and Rogue see each other as they're both stunned, Magneto is getting back up and joins up next to his brothers.

"So Charles has sent his X-Men to stop us again." Magneto said.

Spider-Man is confused. "X-Men?"

"Give it up Magnus, there's a lot of us and only six of you, you're outnumbered." Beast said.

Magneto isn't pleased. "You won this battle, but the war has already begun."

Magneto gave Pyro the look as the mutant unleashed flames and formed a wall between them and their enemies as it's too intense, Iceman steps in and fired his ice beams from his hands to dispersed the flame wall, steam formed around and the wall completely dispersed, but the brotherhood are already gone as they've escaped, the Web-Warriors has no idea what's going on or what they've gotten into as they have so many question, starting with their mysterious allies who saved their lives, one of them is all blue and bestial, they all have powers like their enemies.

"They're gone, for now, let's go." Beast tells the X-Men.

"Hey wait! I got questions!" Spider-Man attempts to stop them from leaving.

"I'm sure you do, but not today." Beast said.

"Then when? Until these guys strike again?" Spider-Man protests.

"With all due respect, this is our business, not yours, stay out of it." Cyclops said.

"Look, we appreciate your team stepping in at the right time, but let us handle this. Thank you for all your help." Beast said in a polite way.

The Blackbird lowers itself down as the X-Men hops onto the ramp and boarded, the ramp closes as Spider-Man took matters into his own hands and tossed a Spider-Tracer onto the hull of the Blackbird before it takes off, the Blackbird is hovering up and flying away heading back to base as the Web-Warriors are still left without any answers.

"Are we going to stay out of it?" Kid Arachnid asking.

"What do you think? How's the Senator?" Spider-Man asking about Kelly.

"He's shaken, but alive." Ghost-Spider said.

"That's good, even though we've saved his life, I don't think this is over. We need to know what exactly what we're up against and this new team we've just met might have the answers. Ghost-Spider, you and the team while stay behind and keep an eye on the Senator in case these guys come back for another attempt" Spider-Man said.

"What are you going to be doing?" Spider-Girl said.

Spider-Man holding the Spider-Tracker. "I'm going to meet us with our new friends and gets some answers."

"Are you sure they're going to be chatty? They basic told us to back off." Kid Arachnid said.

"Then I'll have to investigate this the sneaky way." Spider-Man said.

"Okay, then we'll need to be prepared in case they strike back, especially this guy in the helmet." Ghost-Spider said.

"From what we can tell he can manipulate the metal around him, so use anything non metallic." Spider-Man suggested.

"Good idea, we'll try to make our web shooters without metal." Ghost-Spider said.

"Okay, I should get going and meet our new friends. Wish me luck." Spider-Man said.

"Go luck." Ghost-Spider said.

Later somewhere else far away from New York City in an abandoned plant that Spider-Man once fought Kingpin and won, now the Brotherhood of Mutants are hiding out here away from everyone including the X-Men who are aware of their intentions with the Senator, the brotherhood are recuperating their strength and processing their defeat at the hands of the X-Men and the Web-Warriors, Mystique is thinking about the intervention of the X-Men Rogue who has a personal history with the brotherhood, especially to Mystique.

"We had him, we almost had him." Sabretooth growls in anger.

"Calm down Sabertooth, this is merely a setback." Magneto remains calm.

"Well this setback has attracted the attention of the X-Men, now they know what we're up to." Pyro said.

"And we had a surprise from someone we didn't expect to see again." Toad said to Mystique.

"It's been a year since I've seen her." Mystique said.

"And now she's switches sides, to our enemies. I hope this doesn't affect you." Toad said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Mystique felt her nerves touched.

"That you're emotional when it comes to her, that this could question your loyalty to the brotherhood." Toad said.

"DO NOT EVER QUESTION MY LOYALTY, TOAD!" Mystique felt offended.

"Enough... now is not the time to fight one another, we need to stay focused on our mission, there's too much at stake." Magneto said.

"Except there's one problem, two problems actually, the Web-Warriors are now going to keep on the Senator and the X-Men will likely try to stop us." Pyro said.

"Not if they don't intervene, we maybe on opposite sides but we're all still mutants along with his students, if I can convince him and explain everything the Senator is planning to do, he might understand." Magneto tries diplomacy.

"And if he can't?" Pyro said.

"Then we do what we have to do, for all mutantkind." Magneto said.

"FOR MUTANTKIND!" The brotherhood said together.

All the brotherhood are in agreement to see this mission to the end for the survival of all mutants everywhere, Mystique is still feeling conflicted as she had a personal attachment to the X-Men Rogue, she then pulls out a locket showing the only picture of her baby all blue with three fingers on each hand, the boy is her son she hasn't seen in years, she was a mother at one time until she parted ways from him and only recently regained her maternal feelings thanks to Rogue, she's vert dedicated in the brotherhood's cause but will she do what needs to be done when she encounters Rogue again? Magneto came by to check up on Mystique as she puts away her locket and turns her attention to her leader.

"Are you ready for your assignment?" Magneto said.

"I'll do what needs to be done." Mystique is on board.

"I know you will, you'll find a way, for all of us." Magneto said.

Magneto is putting his faith in Mystique's abilities to get into place, she's about to perform a very special mission for all mutantkind.

Time is 5:15 PM in upstate New York at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngster as the rest of the X-Men are resting after their mission, Rogue is at the window thinking about seeing Mystique again as she's still has a bond to the mutant terrorist, in a bedroom Bobby Drake is laying on the bed next to a pride flag on his wall, he opens up a can of soda and felt that it was warm, he blows a cold breath from his mouth as the soda became cold as he drinks and watched the news on the small TV.

"Earlier today at the Queensboro Bridge, a convoy escorting Senator Robert Kelly was under attack by a group of assailants with powers as they've managed to overpower them within minutes, thankfully thanks to the local heroes, the Senator was saved, but our biggest surprise is the intervention of an unknown group of vigilantes who displayed powers just like the villains the heroes have fought against, who are they and what is their intention? Only time will tell."

Meanwhile outside the school Professor Xavier is strolling around with Beast on the grounds where many students are going on with their lives displaying their mutant powers, Beast explaining everything to the Professor about the Brotherhood's assassination attempt against Senator Kelly.

"How is the Senator?" Professor Xavier said.

"Fearful of mutants as always, but still breathing, we've only arrived later as the Senator was already saved thanks to Spider-Man and his team." Beast explained.

"That's good to know, we were very fortunate, but I fear what Magnus is doing is only the beginning." Professor Xavier said.

"He wants to start his war with humanity, that much is clear." Beast said.

"I know Magnus, he wouldn't just target a U.S. Senator, there must be more to it than we realize, he's targeting Kelly for a reason and we need to know why?" Professor Xavier said.

"The X-Men will still be on stand by incase he tries again." Beast said.

"Do it, we need to stop him before he stirs up so much fear in all humanity." Professor Xavier said.

Beast nodded. "Excuse me."

Beast walks away leaving the Professor all alone as he's far away from the mansion thinking about everything Magneto has done recently and what consequences could unfold by his actions, he was about to head on back to the mansion until his hoverchair stopped moving as he's has no control for some reason, he then realized that it's being controlled by someone with magnetism, he knows exactly who it is.

Professor Xavier remained calm. "I was wondering when I would ever see you again, Magnus."

Coming out hovering over the trees is Magneto in the flesh. "It's been a long time, Charles."

"Indeed old friend, I see you're still focused on your goals for mutant supremacy." Professor Xavier said.

"I do what must be done for our survival, and what have you done, Charles? You opened your school as a sanctuary for all mutants who don't fit in among humanity." Magneto said.

"I opened this school to teach mutants how to control their gifts and to find their place in the world among humanity, to coexist." Professor Xavier said.

"That is impossible, my friend, humanity will never accept us, they fear us and now they want to control us." Magneto said.

"Control us? How?" Professor Xavier is curious.

"That Senator you and your X-Men are willing to protect endangers all our kind, his mutant registration act will see to that, but that's not all, he plans to expose us, all of us to the world." Magneto said.

"It's no secret the governments of the world has known about the existence of mutants for years, with the way the world is going maybe it's time we finally learn to coexist." Professor Xavier said.

"You're deluded Charles, if this act passes, then all mutants will be at risk, including your own students. Are you willing to do nothing while our species suffers from hate and fear?" Magneto said.

"I am doing something for mutants, I want to create a world where there is peace between humans and mutants, so there won't be a war, a war where no one will win. What you're doing Magnus is only going to make things worse for all mutants." Professor Xavier said.

"What I'm doing is making sure that our species survives and take our rightful place in the chain of evolution, humanity had their chance, now it's our turn." Magneto said.

"I know why you're doing this, what you've been through, what you've seen, I know that you want what's best for mutants, but taking the war to humanity isn't the answer." Professor Xavier said.

"Wrong again, it's the only answer. I only came to ask you to stand down and let me do what needs to be done, for all mutants." Magneto said.

"Then for all mutants, I'll do what I must, the right way." Professor Xavier said.

"Don't be my enemy, Charles." Magneto said.

"Magnus, we never were." Professor Xavier said.

"Then I guess there's nothing left to say, farewell old friend." Magneto said before leaving.

Magneto is hovering away from the school ground after his conversation with Charles Xavier failed, the Professor will still do everything in his power to stop Magneto from taking a human life, especially one who endangers their safety.

Meanwhile outside of school grounds the Spider-Cycle stopped as Spider-Man finally arrived outside the gate of the mansion as he looks up to see that he's outside some kind of school he's never heard of.

"Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters? I don't get it?" Spider-Man is confused.

Spider-Man drives his Spider-Cycle away from the gate, unknown to him a security camera is hidden nearby the gate and spotted Spider-Man driving away, he found someplace nearby to stash it as he got off and went up to the wall and jumps over to inflitrate the school grounds, he sneaks around the campus hiding himself among the tree to avoid detection, he got a good view of some students, one of them is an Asian American around 16 years old as she's holding her hand up and displaying sparks of light like firework to a young girl who seemed wolf-like as Spider-Man is stunned by what he's seeing here, they seemed to display abilities that define explanation, clearly this isn't no ordinary school and neither are the students.

"What the? What is this place?" Spider-Man hiding in the tree.

Spider-Man's sense are tingling as a beam of red energy is fired at the tree, Spidey jumped away in time before he got hit as he lands down on the ground to see a young guy with brown hair with red sunglasses and his eyes glowing red underneath, he's the one who fired that beam, he figured this guy is the same guy who he encountered earlier as some students are running away from the conflict.

"I told you to stay out of this!" Scott Summers holding his sunglasses.

"Whoa, hang on, I didn't mean to cause trouble!" Spider-Man tries reasoning.

"Too late, you're trespassing, so now you'll answer to me!" Scott Summer said with a serious voice.

Scott unleashed another beam at Spider-Man who managed to jump and dodge it as he counters by firing webbing at Scott until it stopped before it reached it, Spider-Man lands down to see the webbing stopped suddenly as Jean Grey came up next to Scott and uses her telekinesis to lift Spider-Man up off the ground as he's having trouble moving around as he now in Scott's line of sight.

"Anything to say before we finish this?!" Scott Summers threatening Spider-Man.

"Ah, Parley?!" Spider-Man being nervous.

"Scott!" Professor Xavier hovering towards them. "Stand down! This man is not our enemy!"

"With all due respect, Professor, this guy has trespassed on our grounds, he must be dealt with." Scott Summers holding his sunglasses.

"You want us to strike down everyone in sight like the Brotherhood does? That's how we do things, Scott, stand down! Jean, let him go." Professor Xavier said.

Scott doesn't like this idea but he respects the Professor, he stands down and Jean lowers Spider-Man down on his feet.

"Okay Professor, just keep in mind Spider-Man, I'm watching you." Scott Summers gave a warning.

"Thanks for the warning, Shades." Spider-Man jokes.

"I apologize for the misunderstanding, you'd have to forgive Scott for his behavior, he just doesn't trust people easily." Professor Xavier said.

"So I've noticed." Spider-Man said.

"How did you find us?" Jean Grey asking.

"I..." Spider-Man was about to answer the question.

"You placed a Spider-Tracer on the Blackbird." Professor Xavier answered for Spider-Man.

Spider-Man looked surprised. "Yeah... how did you know?"

"I read your mind... Mr. Parker." Professor Xavier said in telepathic voice.

Spider-Man is stunned to find out this man in a hoverchair is a telepath.

"Who are you?" Spider-Man said.

"My name is Professor Charles Xavier, you have so many questions, I'll be glad to answer them, follow us." Professor Xavier hovers away.

Professor Xavier hovers back to the mansion with Jean and Scott as Spider-Man follows them, they made it inside as many students are stunned to see Spider-Man here in the flesh, one of them is an eighteen year old brunette as she got past the group, she's phased through the closed doors that surprised Spider-Man yet again, another student displaying powers just like the others.

"Wow!" Spider-Man said.

"Yeah, wow, welcome Spider-Man to the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters." Professor Xavier said.

"And by gifted you mean..." Spider-Man said.

"Yes, everybody here is gifted with powers just like us." Professor Xavier said.

They made it to the private elevator in the hallway as all four enters it, the doors closes behind them and they go down to the subterranean level underneath the mansion until they've finally made it down and the elevator opens up, Spider-Man is stunned to see a hidden headquarters underneath the school, hallways all metallic as they've arrived at the War Room where Hank, Rogue, and Bobby are waiting to meet with Spider-Man, he's still processing that he's in a school full of students with gifts and now he's in a secret lair, clearly this more than just a school, it's something else entirely.

"We're here, welcome to the War Room." Professor Xavier said.

"Who are you guys? Inhumans?" Spider-Man is curious.

"No, we're something else entirely, a different species of humans with powers, we're called mutants." Professor Xavier said.

"Mutants? Never heard of them." Spider-Man isn't familiar.

"No surprise there, certain people within the governments of the world are aware of our existences for years, but to keep the fear of people with unusual powers from getting out, they covered up everything related to mutants, making up false stories and bribe witnesses into silence, anything to keep the world spinning normal as always." Professor Xavier explained.

"So me and the rest of my friends, are we kinda like mutants too?" Spider-Man is curious

"No, you're what we call a mutate, mutants are human beings born with powers through the mutant genes, mutates are beings who gained their powers through other means, those who are born by the mutant genes inherits their own gifts, mutation can be random in our case, some appears more human, other more different." Professor Xavier explained the difference.

"Mutants, I've met someone last month who told me that she was born with these gifts." Spider-Man said.

"Adriana Soria, she's a mutant too." Professor Xavier said.

"She done some things,, turned a lot of people into her spider slaves, caused so much destruction to the city, but she told me that she suffered a lot because she was different, everyone feared her." Spider-Man told of Spider-Queen's experiences.

"She wouldn't be the first mutant to be victimized by the fears and prejudices of humanity, sadly she won't the last, that's what I'm aiming to change." Professor Xavier said.

"Really? Cause it seems you're doing more than that, you're running a school for mutants while secretly having a lair underneath it." Spider-Man said.

"I guess there's a reasonable explanation for everything, at first I've started this school with my friend Hank McCoy, back then we only started out four students, the first class, Scott, Jean, Bobby, and Warren who isn't present, I built this school for mutants, to teach them how to control their powers and to learn how to fit in with the rest of society, it's also a haven for mutants who don't fit anywhere else, some are runaways without a place to go, I help mutants in need whenever they ask for it." Professor Xavier explains his mission.

"It's very noble of you, Professor." Spider-Man admires his efforts.

"Starting the school was a good thing for mutants, but it's not enough, not when there are other mutants out there who uses their gifts to do harm." Professor Xavier said.

"Like that team we've encountered, they're mutants too, aren't they?" Spider-Man said.

"Yes, they're called the Brotherhood of Mutants, a group of mutant extremists aiming for mutant supremacy, they're lead by a man named Erik Magnus Lehnsherr, he calls himself Magneto, a mutant with the power of magnetism." Professor Xavier said.

"Yeah, I caught his show earlier, you sound like you know him." Spider-Man said.

"I did, we were friends. We met when we were young and got to know him, he came from a country ravaged by war and lost his family, we had a common goal in helping mutants, we did a good thing together until one day a couple of mutants facing oppression from humans, we stepped in and stopped them, but that wasn't the end of it, he's seen too many mutants suffering at the hands of humanity, he came to believe that humanity will never come to accept humans into their world, due to all the horrors he's seen from his traumatic past and all the hatred mutants suffered for too long, it changed him, he became radicalized and decided to start a new revolution, to fight for mutant supremacy, believing that mutants are destined to take their places as the new dominant species of the planet." Professor Xavier said.

"I'm guessing you don't share his vision for all mutants." Spider-Man said.

"No, my goal is to fight for mutant rights, to coexist with humanity for peace, a future for all mutants. Starting a war with humanity isn't the solution, a war where no one will win, many will die on both side, mutants and humans, we can't allow that to happen, we mutants maybe evolved but we still inherit many qualities humanity does, even the same flaws, we're still no different, deep down we're all still human just like everyone else. It hasn't been easy trying to get people to stop fearing us just because we're different." Professor Xavier said.

"I can relate, back in my first year I've been misunderstood as a vigilante and a menace by everyone, but with time I was able to show everyone that I'm a good person. Don't give up on this fight, prove to everyone that not all mutants are dangerous, not with words but with action." Spider-Man said.

Professor Xavier smiled. "That's exactly what we've been doing, when the Brotherhood first started terrorizing humanity, we decided to fight back and use our mutant gifts for good, we became the X-Men."

"A team of mutant superheroes." Spider-Man said.

"Is that what you think we are?" Beast said.

"Why not? You guys saved our lives and you're all sporting costumes." Spider-Man said.

Beast smiled. "I guess that kinda makes us superheroes."

"Okay, now that I know who you all are, let's get back to the important stuff. What does this brotherhood want with a U.S. Senator?" Spider-Man said.

"Senator Robert Kelly is part of a secret group called the Mutant Affairs Committee, this group's goal is to keep the existence of mutants a secret and to monitor them, but recently the Senator has his own agenda for all mutants, he wants to tell the world that mutants exists, he's about to make us all public, all in the hopes to get enough approval for his mutant registration act, he wants all mutants to be identified along with their powers." Professor Xavier said.

"I take it that you don't agree with it." Spider-Man said.

"I don't, having mutants exposed endangers them to everyone, I want to stop this bill, but the right way." Professor Xavier said.

"That's not going to stop the brotherhood from trying to take out Senator Kelly, they'll try again, I know how they operate." Rogue said.

"How?" Spider-Man said.

"Cause I used to be one of them." Rogue revealed her past affiliations.

Spider-Man is stunned. "You?"

Rogue sighed as she's about to explain her whole past. "When I was 15, my mutant power finally manifested, I was in the middle of kissing my boyfriend until it happened, I had the ability to absorb the life force by skin contact, I didn't realize what was happening until it was too late, we broke off the kiss before it became fatal but he ended up in a coma, my parents and everyone else were terrified to find out what I had done, they all feared me and what I could do, I ran away from home, I kept on roaming around the country until I met someone who took me in and accepted me as who I am, a mutant. Her name is Raven Darkholme, she's a mutant, the one you've encounter, she calls her Mystique, she came to accept me as her daughter and told me that I was born with a gift just like her and her fellow mutants. I was raised and served in the Brotherhood for two years until I finally got my shot at proving myself wothy, we attacked a home of a politician who was very anti-mutant, we invaded his house where he and his family were all together, we were ordered to make an example out of them, but the moment I saw his wife and son all frightened, I couldn't do it, I didn't have the stomach to hurt innocent people even if they were afraid of mutants, but the Brotherhood didn't show any mercy, they... executed them, right there in front of me. Then the police showed up and there was a firefight, I escaped during the chaos and ran as far away I can, it still haunts me."

Spider-Man sighed uneasy from hearing everything. "I'm sorry."

"I was still roaming around after I escaped from the Brotherhood, traumatized by what I had seen, felt like I had nowhere else to go, that is until the Professor found me, he knew about what I had been through and what I had done in the past, with my hometown and the brotherhood, he took me in without hesitation and helped me find my place in the world, he gave me a home where I can be myself among mutants, in time I became an X-Men dedicated to do good, hoping to right all the wrongs I've done." Rogue explained her place with the X-Men.

"I can tell that you're a good person, ah..." Spider-Man doesn't know her name.

"Anna Marie, but many call me Rogue." Rogue said.

"Okay, Rogue it is." Spider-Man being friendly as Rogue smiled.

"I'm Hank McCoy, others call me Beast." Hank smiled.

"Bobby Drake, Iceman." Bobby introduced himself.

"Jean Grey, I go by Marvel Girl." Jean Grey smiled.

Scott remained silent until Jean gave him the look, he sighed. "Scott Summers, call me Cyclops."

"Okay, now that we've introduced ourselves, care to introduce yourself, Spider-Man?" Professor Xavier said.

"Aren't you going to do that?" Spider-Man said.

"I haven't revealed your secret to anyone, I respect your privacy, but if you don't want to share your secret, I won't force you to." Professor Xavier said.

Spider-Man is still unsure whether to share his secret identity to his new allies he just met, but one of them already know who he is underneath the mask without telling anyone, one of the X-Men is still untrusting of the hero, since the Professor was kind enough to share his secrets with him, it's only fair he does the same, Spider-Man pulls off his mask and shows his true face to the group, Jean and Rogue are stunned to see a handsome young guy around their age, even Bobby is smitten with him.

"My name is Peter Parker, I'm Spider-Man." Peter introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you, Peter Parker, now care to explore more of the mansion?" Professor Xavier said.

Professor Xavier shows Peter around the mansion to show what the X-Men has at their disposal, Bobby Drake is still eyeballing Peter's backside as his suit fill up in certain places, Jean Grey noticed Bobby's fixation on Peter as she probed the hero's mind and got her answer.

"Sorry Bobby, you're not his type." Jean smiled.

"Aww!" Bobby is disappointed as Jean patted his back for comfort.

Bobby walks away as Jean looks at Peter walking with the Professor and Beast on a tour of their headquarters, she read his mind and knows what kind of person Spider-Man is, a man full of conflict and loss, just like someone she knows, someone she's very close to.

Time is 6:02 PM at the Daily Bugle, coming out of the elevator is Peter Parker all dressed in a black moto racer jacket over a white shirt and blue jeans as everyone is super busy given everything that has happened today and what's soon to happen at the U.N. summit, Betty Brant is at her desk as she spotted Peter here, she got up and pulled out a press pass out of the drawer and walks up to Peter.

"Glad you're here, Pete, here you go, you're all set for tonight, you got your clearance for the U.N. building, Mr. Robertson will be waiting for you there." Betty hands him the pass.

Peter looks at her name tag on her desk. "Thanks for the pass, Ms. Brant."

Betty looks at Peter walking away looking confused. "Ms. Brant?"

Peter arrived back at the elevator as it's opening and people are coming out, he enters and closes the door as he's going back down after getting what he needs to access the UN building for tonight, he looks at the pass and smiles as his eyes briefly turned yellow before going back to normal chocolate brown.

Later around 6:57 PM at the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, Professor Xavier and Beast are still showing Spider-Man around their headquarters as they're in some kind of training room built with holographic projectors and blank automatons that can adapt into any kind of threats, the ground is designed to adapt and replicate into any environment or terrain required for training.

"And this is where we train ourselves to improve our skills, a training ground built with state-of-the-art holographic technology to replicate any environment of our choosing, we call it the Danger Room." Beast said.

"Nice, we got something like this back at the tower, we call it the H.A.R.M. Room." Peter said.

"H.A.R.M.?" Beast said.

"Stands for Holographic Augmented Reality Machine, Iron Man loves his acronyms." Peter smiled.

'Not bad, since we started this team, we figured we take a page from the Avengers playbook and learn teamwork." Beast said.

"From what I've seen, you've trained your team well." Peter said.

All of a sudden his phone is ringing as he pulls out to see Robbie Robertson is calling him.

"Excuse me, I gotta take this." Peter said.

"Of course, take your time." Professor Xavier said.

Peter answered the call. "Hey Robbie, what's going on?"

"Peter, I'm still here waiting at the U.N. for you." Robbie Robertson said.

"The U.N.?" Peter is confused.

"Yeah, you told me that you'll take the assignment tonight, Betty told me that you've already picked up your press pass for full clearance." Robbie Robertson said.

"Yeah... I did, I'll be as soon as I can." Peter said.

"Don't be late." Robbie hangs up from his end.

Beast and Professor X sees Peter is completely confused by that phone call for some reason.

"What is it?" Beast said.

"That was my boss, apparently I got the U.N. assignment for tonight." Peter is confused.

"And?" Beast said.

"I didn't accept the assignment." Peter said.

Professor X and Beast looked at each other and both said. "Mystique!"

"Mystique? What's going on?" Peter doesn't understand anything.

"It's Mystique, she's going to the U.N. posing as you." Beast said.

"As me?" Peter is more confused.

"Mystique is a shapeshifter, she can mimic anyone, even you, Peter Parker, she's going to use your appearance to gain access to the U.N. building past security, she's going to assassinate Kelly in front of everyone and kill off the registration act in the process, we can't let that happen. Beast, assemble the team and get to the Blackbird, we have to stop her before it's too late." Professor X said.

"Right away Professor." Beast is rushing away.

"I'm going to give my team the heads up, if they see someone as me, I'll tell them to stop them by any means necessary." Peter said.

"Alright, meet the team at the Blackbird when you're ready." Professor X said.

Professor X hovers away as something big is about to go down tonight at the U.N. summit, he's on his phone trying to reach his friends back in the city.

At the same time back in New York City at the U.N. building, a number of press and cameramen are outside awaiting the arrival of Senator Kelly as security here is very tight than usual due to the attempt made on the Senator's life, the three Web-Warriors are at the building overlooking the summit that's about to happen, they're assign to keep an eye on things to make sure those assailants won't make another attempt. Coming to the U.N. by limo, Senator Robert Kelly is getting out and waving to the crowd keeping his cool despite the fact someone wants to take his life, the Web-Warriors are watching from afar.

"How could that man be smiling to the crown when there are some people out there itching to kill him?" Kid Arachnid said.

"He's still planning to see this through to the end, like this guy has some kind of agenda." Ghost-Spider said.

"Hey, look down there." Spider-Girl pointing out to the crowd.

The Senator has entered the building as security are scanning I.D.s and press passes to let reporters, camera crews, and photographers into the premises as Web-Warriors spotted their friend Peter Parker fully dressed in his regular clothes as he's holding up his press pass being scanned by security, they're running his prints and I.D. through the database to make sure he's not a threat, the computer cleared him for entrance.

"Alright Mr. Parker, you're all clear."

Peter Parker got the go ahead to enter the premises as nobody knows that he's secretly the mutant shapeshifter Mystique in disguise, even the Web-Warriors watching from the rooftop didn't noticed anything strange about him.

"I guess Peter took the assignment after all, strange he didn't tell us." Ghost-Spider said.

All of a sudden, her phone is vibrating as she pulls it out to see that she's got some missed calls from Peter, she's confused as to why he's calling her after she witnessed him entered the U.N. building, she answered the call and held the phone to her ear.

"Peter, we're still outside looking at the summit, we just saw you." Ghost-Spider said.

"Gwen, listen to me, it's not me, she's a shapeshifter, she's posing as me to get into the building, she's going to assassinate the Senator!" Spider-Man warns them.

"Oh no, we've just saw her, she's already in the building!" Ghost-Spider is terrified.

"You gotta stop her before it's too late!" Spider-Man said.

"We're on it." Ghost-Spider hangs up.

"What's going on?" Spider-Girl said.

"It's not Peter we saw, it's a shapeshifter posing as him, she's going to try to take out the Senator in front of everyone! We have to stop her!" Ghost-Spider said.

"We can't just storm the U.N., security around here is very tight, as soon as they see us, they'll start shooting." Spider-Girl warns of the risk.

"You're right... but they won't see him coming, you're our only hope to stop this tragedy." Ghost-Spider said.

"Don't worry, I got this." Kid Arachnid assured his teammates.

He jumps off the rooftop and turns himself invisible as he's going to stop an assassination against Senator Kelly.

The Blackbird has already left the mansion and heading back to New York City to stop the Brotherhood from carrying out their threats against humanity, Spider-Man is sitting with Rogue and Iceman in their suits as he's amazed by the transportation they're using to get around.

"Wow, this craft is amazing, it's no quinjet, but it's great. Can she make it to the city in time?" Spider-Man is curious.

"Don't worry about her, she's faster than she looks, we'll be there in a few minutes." Rogue speaking with a southern accent.

Up at the cockpit, Cyclops is copiloting the plane with Beast flying the craft, he looks back to see Spider-Man chatting with his teammates as he himself still has some reservations about Spider-Man taking part in X-Men business, Jean Grey noticed it as she gets up and walks over to the cockpit to have a chat with Cyclops.

"Scott, can we talk?" Jean Grey asking.

Cyclops get's up from the copilot seat as he and Jean are going back to talk alone. "What wrong, Jean?"

"It's about your opinion on Spider-Man." Jean Grey said.

"Look, I know that the Professor trust him, but that doesn't mean I do, still think he has no business with us." Cyclops said.

"Scott, I know it's hard for you to trust and open up to people, but Spider-Man doesn't deserve this attitude you're giving him, he's no different from you." Jean Grey said.

"What are you talking about? You've read his mind?" Cyclops said.

"When Bobby was showing interest, I took a peek at Peter's mind." Jean Grey said.

"What did you see?" Cyclops got curious.

"Pain and loss, he's lost his parents too, just like you." Jean Grey revealed Peter's loss.

"I had no idea, though he was just a goofball who jokes around and doesn't take things very seriously." Cyclops said.

"He hides his pain with jokes and smiles, kinda like you're still hiding your pain with your seriousness." Jean Grey said.

Cyclops remains quiet as he's been through a lot, he lost his parents and brother from a plane crash, he had a hard childhood fitting in due to his mutant abilities, he felt more like a loner growing up, never opening up to anyone, that is until he met the Professor and Jean, they only two people he trusts.

"I know you still don't trust him, but we still need his help to stop the Brotherhood, I'm just asking you to put your issues aside for now." Jean Grey said.

Cyclops sighed calmly. "Okay Jean, for you."

Jean smiled as she walks back to the seat with her teammates chatting with Spider-Man as everyone else is friendly with him except for Cyclops, he's still unsure if he can trust Spider-Man right now, but he'll put his personal feelings aside and focus on the mission. Rogue and Jean are sitting together on one side of the Blackbird while Spider-Man and Iceman are still chatting at the other side.

"So what's it like living as a mutant?" Spider-Man asking.

"It's hard, there are some humans that accepts us for who we are, others not so much, not even my own parents." Iceman said.

"I'm sorry it hasn't been easy for you, Bobby." Spider-Man said.

"It's... not just my mutant status they don't accept." Iceman said.

"What do you mean?" Spider-Man doesn't understand.

"I... have a preference for... guys." Iceman confessed.

"Oh! So you're..." Spider-Man is surprised.

"Yeah." Iceman nodded his head as he's has more to say. "And I gotta confess something, when I first saw you, I though you're quite hot when I saw your face."

Spider-Man is even more surprised. "Oh!"

"Does it bother you?" Iceman is curious.

"No, I mean I'm very flattered that you feel something for me, I do, but..." Spider-Man said.

Iceman smiled. "It's okay, I get it, you love women."

"Yes, I love the most amazing woman in my life." Spider-Man being honest about his feelings.

"It's good that you're honest about yourself." Iceman said.

"Thanks, just as you respect my preference, I respect yours." Spider-Man said.

"Thank you." Iceman said.

"Just as long as you're happy." Spider-Man smiled.

"That's the point." Iceman smiled.

Spider-Man and Iceman get along just fine even after finding out Bobby's sexuality and that he's part of the LGBTQ community even among mutants, but Spidey still accept him for who he is, Beast is still piloting the Blackbird as they're about to enter Manhattan airspace.

Back at the U.N., many people have assembled here from all over the world to hear Senator Kelly's opinions on mutants, the Senator plans to see this matter through to the end despite knowing that he's put a target on his own back, he made it to the podium and waved to everyone before he's about to speak to the whole world, meanwhile Kid Arachnid is cloaking himself crawling around trying to find an imposter who looks like Peter Parker, but he hasn't had much luck since there's so many people here.

"Dang, where is he?" Kid Arachnid said in his thoughts.

Senator Kelly speaks to the U.N. "Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you all for making the time, I want you all to know that I'm fine, as many of you are alredy aware, there's been an assassination attempt against my life, there are people out there who want to silence me, don't want me to speak the truth, very dangerous people with abilities that are unnatural and they're not the only ones, these beings live among us in every part of the world, they may look like us but they're not, these beings are called mutants..."

At the booth where the press are assembled to record the whole event happening right now on live TV to the whole world, Robbie Robertson is among the press as he's still waiting for his photographer to come and take a picture of this event.

Robbie Robertson sighed. "Parker, where the devil are you?"

"I'm right here." Peter Parker/Mystique came to Robbie with a camera in hand.

"Finally, I was getting worried that you busy with a disturbance." Robbie Robertson said.

"Not to worry, I wouldn't miss this for the world." Peter/Mystique aims the camera at Senator Kelly giving his speech, he's adjusting the lens. "All I need now is just one good clean shot."

Kid Arachnid is still crawling around while cloaked as he's trying to find the imposter Peter Parker among the crowd, he then looks at the booth where all the press assemble to witness this event, he spotted someone looking exactly like Peter Parker among them, he's aiming the camera at the Senator, his spider sense is tingling as he got a bad feeling about this. Mystique has her camera built as a weapon with a single bullet inside, she's about to press the trigger to assassinate the Senator, but Kid Arachnid de-cloaks and came in swing, he kicked Mystique away as she triggered the camera, the bullet fired but it missed it's target and hits the wall, as soon as everyone heard the gunshot, they all panicked and ran, Peter/Mystique is on the ground as Kid Arachnid wrapped his arms around the mutant's neck.

"Gotcha!" Kid Arachnid traps the mutants.

Peter/Mystique does a backward headbutt on Kid Arachnid's head, he loosen his grip as she elbows him in the chest, then she back kicked him far as she makes a run for it, Kid Arachnid quickly recovers to see that she's shapeshifting back to her original form, she kept running past the crowd all running to the exit in fear to noticed a blue-skinned mutant is running beside them as she's making contact through her earpiece.

"Erik, I've failed to take out the Senator, the heroes stopped our attempts once again." Mystique kept running.

"How unfortunate, but inevitable, return to us, we shall come to you, perhaps it's time we take matters into our own hands." Magneto said.

Mystique kept on running until she made it outside of the U.N. building where a lot of U.N. security and NYPD are waiting outside, they all aimed their guns at the mutant as she stopped herself and raised her hands up, Kid Arachnid made it outside to see the mutant shapeshifter has stopped, Ghost-Spider and Spider-Girl swings down to aid the authorities in containing the situation, Mystique on the other hand remains calm despite being outnumbered.

"It's over." Ghost-Spider said.

Mystique smiled. "No, not even close."

The Web-Warriors all had their spider sense tingling at the same time as danger is nearby, coming towards the building is the Brotherhood of Mutants with Sabretooth, Blob, Toad, and Pyro walking as the mutant unleashed flames all around the area creating a firewall perimeter, nothing can get in or out, everyone is trapped as the NYPD all aimed their guns to stop them, Magneto is hovering towards the U.N. as he uses his magnetism to force their guns away from the officers and turns them against everyone, the Web-Warriors spotted the Brotherhood's leader and were about to take action.

"I wouldn't do that if I were." Magneto aims all the guns at everyone, cocking them into action and ready to fire, threatening to kill. "I know you're quick, but even you're not fast enough to stop all these bullets at once. Care to test out that theory?"

The Web-Warriors sees that all the guns are being aimed at innocent people, they can't risk someone getting killed as they're forced to stand down for now, Magneto smiled as he knew they're compassion for life is their weakness, he then spotted the press and their camera crew, he uses his magnetism to move all the cameras and microphones towards him for the whole world to see, he's about to send his message.

"Citizens of the world, your own governments have lied to you for so long, you're not the only sentient species on this planet, we've lived among you in secret, but no more, as of right now we make our place in this world, destined to be the next dominant species of this planet, humanity had their chance and now it's our turn, to all my fellow mutants all over the globe, now is the time we make a stand, all of us, we the Brotherhood and I, Magneto, are here to fight for all mutants, for your future where we can all live without feeling ashamed of who were all are, join us, we mutants are the future!" Magneto speaks to the world.

"Like hell you are!" Senator Kelly walking past the crowd. "Your actions right now have just proved to the world that I was right about mutants all along, you're all dangerous!"

"Senator Kelly, at last we meet in the flesh, it wasn't enough you wanted to expose all of us, you wanted to control us, keep us all in check." Magneto said.

"Someone had to, your kind had all kinds of powers that are unnatural, abilities that are too dangerous, you're all loose cannons." Senator Kelly said.

"What happens right now is because of you, Senator, we mutants have lived among you without problem, we didn't want a war but you pushed us to this, forced us to take the extreme measures. All of humanity will suffer as a consequence of your actions, starting with you." Magneto justify his actions.

Magneto manipulates one of the guns to aim at the Senator to be executed in front of everyone, the Web-Warriors are conflicted in whether to intervene or not as one of the lives here is about to be killed on the spot, but they also don't want to risk the lives of others here because of them, Magneto has the huge advantage here, he cocks the guns about to pull the trigger via magnetism to kill Kelly, he was about to execute the Senator until he stopped and looks up to see the Blackbird has arrived, the X-Men are here. Beast puts the Blackbird on autopilot as he gets up from his seat and joins up with the X-Men and Spider-Man for battle.

"Alright, this is it, we have to stop the Brotherhood here and now!" Beast said.

"More importantly, we need to keep the fight focused on us, no innocent soul gets hurt, got it?" Spider-Man said.

"I'm good with that." Iceman said.

"Me too." Jean Grey said.

"Agreed." Cyclops said.

"Then we're all in it together, let's head out." Beast said.

"Hang on, I could use a little power boost for this." Rogue said.

"Power boost?" Spider-Man is confused.

"Oh, I forgot to mention, I could more than just suck the life out of someone." Rogue said.

"Such as?" Spider-Man is curious.

Rogue smiled. "Let me show you."

Rogue got her gloved hands on Spider-Man's unmasked face and pulls him in for a kiss, Rogue is kissing the hero in front of everyone, Spidey couldn't focus as he's feeling something happening to him during the kiss, Rogue broke it off as she got everything she needed from him from that single kiss, Spidey felt a little weakened for some reason like a little of his life was taken.

Spider-Man looks stunned. "Wow... what did you just do?"

"I just borrowed your powers from that kiss, temporarily of course." Rogue said.

"Really, cause I don't see the difference." Spider-Man said.

Rogue smiled as she jumps up and clings to the ceiling of the Blackbird, she's clinging in the same manner as Spider-Man, the hero is surprised to find out that she temporarily gained his powers from that single kiss.

"Whoa!" Spider-Man is surprised.

Rogue drops down in front of him and stands smiling. "Thanks for that kiss, Sugah."

"Couldn't you just take off your gloves and touched my face?" Spider-Man said.

"Kissing was easier, by the way, you're quite a kisser, Bug Boy." Rogue flirting as she licks her lips.

"Okay, now that we're all done, let's head out." Beast said.

Spider-Man sighed in his thoughts in disappointment. "Gwen's gonna kill me."

Spider-Man puts his mask on as the ramp of the Blackbird opens up, the X-Men are heading out, Iceman jumps out and uses his powers of ice to form an ice bridge to transport himself down to the ground, Jean is using her telekinesis to lower herself along with Beast and Cyclops down, Rogue and Spider-Man are next to head out.

"Let's go." Rogue said.

"Hold on, Rogue!" Spider-Man stopped Rogue as he pulls out his spare web-shooters. "Here, you might need these if you're going to fight like me."

Rogue took the web-shooters and straps them on her wrists. "Thanks Sugah."

"Let's go." Spider-Man said.

Spider-Man and Rogue jumps off from the Blackbird and both landed in a three point stance together as the X-Men are together about to face off against the Brotherhood, everyone here at the U.N. are seeing more mutants with Spider-Man as none of them are sure what side they're on, Magneto isn't pleased to see the X-Men here interrupting their mission for mutant supremacy.

"So Charles couldn't stay away, he sent his X-Men to stop us. Do you all know what this man you're protecting plans to do with all mutants?" Magneto said.

"We know Magnus, but killing him isn't the answer, what you're doing is going to endanger all of us, make people fear us more." Beast said.

"They already fear us and now they want to control us cause they see us as monster." Magneto said.

"We have to show them that we're not the monsters they made us out to be, we have to do better than resort to violence." Jean Grey said.

"At what cost? How many mutants like us must be victimized until real change comes? I'm doing what needs to be done so all mutants don't suffer." Magneto said.

"And we're doing what needs to be done for mutants, the right way." Beast said.

"I have no desire to fight any fellow mutants, leave now and let me do what must be done. If you stand against us, we'll show you no quarter. Leave now while you can." Magneto said.

"Last chance Magnus, stop this now!" Beast said.

"Very well, you all made your choice. Brothers, kill them." Magneto is done reasoning.

The Brotherhood of Mutants all engaged in combat against the X-Men as many people are witnessing a fight between a team of mutants, the Web-Warriors decide to join in and help their new allies in the fight, Pyro is unleashing flames as Spider-Man is swinging around avoiding the fire moving towards him, Pyro is having a hard time getting a hit on the hero, he then resorted to unleashing flames all around the air as his webbing are burning up upon contact, he lost his grip and falls down to more flames down below until Iceman came to his rescue and they both move around on the ice bridge.

"Nice save, Frozone." Spider-Man made a reference.

"It's Iceman, Spidey." Iceman smiled.

Pryo then manipulate the flames into Iceman's path as he see flames heading his way in front of him, Spider-Man got a hold of Iceman and jumped off the bridge together before the flames could touch them, they're still in the air coming down as Pyro fires more flames towards them as Iceman counters with ice as the two opposing forces collided and cancel each other out, steam is forming up as Pyro can't see anything, coming out of the steam around him is Iceman gripping Pryo's flamethrowers and freezing them, Iceman formed an ice armor around him, Iceman lets go as Spider-Man then punched out Pyro after he lost his weapons, he was defeated by the pair as Spider-Man looks at Iceman in his ice form.

"Wow, that's very ice of you." Spider-Man said.

Iceman chuckles. "Very ice of me, good one."

Spider-Man and Iceman high five each other after taking down Pyro, meanwhile Sabretooth is fighting against Beast as they're quite evenly matched due to their bestial forms, Sabretooth tries to strikes his claws down but Beast caught his claws before they could touch him, he's doing his best to hold back but Sabretooth is too strong, Rogue then came in swinging via web and dropped kicked the mutant off of Beast, saving his life, Beast gets back up and is grateful to Rogue for saving his life.

"Thank you." Beast said before going back into the fight.

Rogue was about to swing away until she sensed something tingling in her head, she turns around to see Mystique is here as she hesitates to fight back.

"Mama?" Rogue said.

"Rogue..." Mystique said.

"Why are you doing this, Mama? All this chaos and violence, all for what?" Rogue said.

"For our survival." Mystique said.

"What you and the Brotherhood did to that family, you call that survival?" Rogue said.

"I don't expect you to understand, maybe I was wrong to bring into this, you weren't ready then, but that doesn't mean I wanted you out of my life, I still want you back in it." Mystique said.

"And then what? Support the Brotherhood in their war against humanity?" Rogue said.

"What has humanity ever done for us, Rogue? Humans took everything from us, I lost my son because of them, and you, your own parents pushed you out of their lives when they found out who you are, they disowned you, have you forgotten?" Mystique said.

"I haven't forgotten, Mama, you took me in and raise me as your own, but I can't be a part of this, I don't want to cause harm to humans just because they fear us, I'd rather not be the monster they made us out to be, I chose to be something better, to follow the right path for all mutants." Rogue said.

"I see Xavier has brainwashed you, but this changes nothing, you're still my daughter, Rogue, I don't want to fight you." Mystique said.

"You still my mother, I still love you, I don't want to fight you either, but I'll do what I believe is right, I hope you do too." Rogue said.

Rogue then looks to see the fight happening as she looks upon Mystique before heading back into battle, she chose not to fight Mystique, Mystique couldn't bring herself to fight Rogue either, she still sees her as her daughter despite them being on opposite sides. Meanwhile back to the battle, Toad is hopping around trying as Cyclops is trying to get a hit with his optic beam, Toad jumps and fires spit at the X-Men as his visor got covered in slime, he's blind and unable to unleash his beams, Toad then hops in for a drop kick until he got drop kick hard by Ghost-Spider, Toad fell back down and unleashed his tongue at the hero as Ghost-Spider caught it, she pulls him in and punched him hard in the face as the mutant went down, Cyclops took off the slime to see that one of the enemies is down thanks to Ghost-Spider.

"And that's the end of the Wind of the Willows for you, Mr. Toad." Ghost-Spider said.

Cyclops was fortunate that he was saved thanks to his new allies, Magneto on the other hand still has guns aimed at everyone as he doesn't like the way this is going, his fellow brothers losing as he decides to take matters into his own hands, he's about to trigger all the guns via magnetism, all bullets are fired as many people are about to be killed off until the bullets stopped by telekinesis, Jean Grey stepped in and saved everyone's lives, the politicians are stunned that a mutant saved their lives, Senator Kelly isn't too pleased to be saved by one of them, Jean Grey is in the air as she's about to take on Magneto, as the mutant uses his magnetism to lift cars up in the air, he tossed them towards Jean who stopped them in their place as she's suffering strains from using her powers.

"You're quite gifted, I'll give you that, but your powers aren't that strong compared to mine." Magneto said.

Magneto unleash more magnetism to overpower Jean's telekinesis as she got strained a lot and feel down in the air, Rogue runs and jumps up to catch Jean in the air as Magneto is sending cars their way, Rogue is swinging around via webbing taking evasive action, meanwhile Blob is attempting to crush both Spider-Girl and Kid Arachnid with his might strength as the two heroes are very quick and agile, Spider-Girl counters by fire organic webbing at the mutant's face and blinding him, she and Kid Arachnid then webbed up both of Blob's legs and pulled together making the mutant fall on his back, Spider-Man and Iceman came as the mutant unleashed an ice beam to keep Blob trapped in ice.

Beast drop kick Sabretooth out of balance as Cyclops unleashed his optic blast and knocked the mutant out, Jean is doing her best to hold back against Magneto's powers trying to send the cars their way, Rogue decides to tip the scales as she takes off her gloves and touched Jean's face briefly and absorb her life force, she let's go after getting what she needed, she now has Jean's telekinesis as she helps Jean with her new powers to push back against Magneto, the enemy mutant is being overwhelmed by two mutants with telekinesis overpowered his magnetism, he still maintains his hovering but then Cyclops came in and fired off his optic blast, knocking Magneto out of the air and he fell down to the ground, Mystique rushed to help her leader up, Magneto sees his fellow mutants are defeated at the hands of the X-Men and the Web-Warriors.

"It's over, Magnus." Beast said.

"What you and the X-Men did was pointless, it doesn't matter if you stopped us or saved a few human lives, it won't make a difference, they'll still hate and fear you, even now." Magneto making a point.

"We can't control what everyone thinks of mutants, but we can't allow ourselves to be the monsters they believe us to be, we need to prove to them that we're still human and we have a place here in the world." Beast said.

"That's going to be impossible at this point, the world now knows of our existence, there is no turning back for any of us, as I said before, the war has already begun. Enjoy your victory, X-Men, cause when the real war comes, I hope you choose to side with us rather than against us." Magneto said.

Magneto then gets up and uses his magnetism to manipulate the metal around the area and uses them to pick up the rest of the Brotherhood as he took Mystique in his arms, he hovers away taking his brotherhood away from the city as the X-Men and Web-Warriors watch them escaping, Mystique took one last look at Rogue down below as she's forced to part ways with her again, Rogue had that same feeling. The X-Men and Web-Warriors looks around to see all the damages caused by the Brotherhood, but luckily there were no causalities, but the damage has already been done as many witness mutants in action, some terrorized everyone while others saved them.

"Looks like we've done our job, no one got hurt." Beast said.

Senator Kelly walks up to the group. "You mutants should've never have come, look at this, look at all this destruction your kind caused, you proved me right all along, you're all dangerous!"

"You're wrong, Senator!" Spider-Man spoke back.

"Excuse me?!" Senator Kelly felt offended.

"You're wrong about them, not all mutants are dangerous, they're no different from humans because they are humans, they're just born with gifts as part of life's evolution, awe shouldn't condone all mutants for the actions few bad mutants have done, there are good mutants in the world, mutants who used their gifts to do good, mutants like the X-Men, and don't forget that the only reason you're all alive is caused they saved all your lives, remember that. Every politician here listened to Spider-Man defending mutants as he made a point that they're all saved thanks to the few good mutants like the X-Men, but no everyone buys into it including Senator Kelly who sees that Spider-Man supports mutants. The rest of the X-Men are smiling as Spider-Man stood up for them and their kind, maybe not all hope is lost, it's not enough but it's a start. Spider-Man then walks away and joins up with his teammates and allies after a night of saving the U.N. from the Brotherhood.

The day is September 26th, about one week has passed since the incident at the U.N. building has ended, meanwhile at the Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, many mutant students including the staff are in the living room watching the news at the capitol concerning the future of mutants as the Senate is deciding their fate, but the anti-mutant hysteria has already been spread all over the country as some people are against mutants while others aren't, the world has undergone another change once again as everyone knows of their existence.

"As we can see, many people all across the country are protesting against mutant rights due to the actions made by the Brotherhood of Mutants since the attack on the U.N. last week, though not everyone are against them as some are accepting them into our society, but it hasn't been an easy road for mutants. Here at the capitol, the Senate has made a decision in their vote, the Mutant Registration Act has been passed, soon all mutants will be forced to register themselves or face prosecution..."

Scott turns off the TV after everyone heard the bad news, the Mutant Registration Act has been passed and now all mutants are forced to reveal themselves to the public, Spider-Man came by to check on the school to see that it hasn't been a good day for them, but he came with some news that could help their cause, Professor Xavier sees Spider-Man here.

"Excuse us please." Professor Xavier tells the students.

All the students here are being excused as the Professor and the X-Men needed the privacy to discuss something with Spider-Man alone.

"How was your day, Mr. Parker?" Professor Xavier said.

"I spend weeks explaining to Robbie that a mutant shapeshifter borrowed my identity and assumed my form, cleared up the whole misunderstanding. But I take it you're all not having a good day than me." Spider-Man said.

"Sadly no, even though we've saved the U.N. from the Brotherhood, the damage has already been done, anti-mutant hysteria has been spread, in the end Senator Kelly got exactly what he wanted, senate approval for his mutant registration act, the fate of all mutants is now sealed." Professor Xavier said.

Spider-Man sighed. "I'm so sorry Professor, I thought I did better speaking on your behalf, hoping it would change their minds."

"None of us are blaming you for this, Spider-Man, this was inevitable, we knew the moment the world knows about all mutants, people would still fear us just because we were born different, but we're not giving up, we'll still continue to fight for mutant rights the right way, they're still hope for all of us." Professor Xavier said.

"Actually, I came here cause I might have a solution to help with that." Spider-Man has an idea.

"We're listening." Professor Xavier is interested.

"I was talking this matter over with Cap and Iron Man, I was thinking about adding mutant heroes such as yourselves into our ranks, to show the world that humans and mutants can work together for a better future, to be united as one." Spider-Man said.

"Like a unity division?" Professor Xavier said.

"Exactly." Spider-Man said.

"Hmm, interesting... let me think about it." Professor Xavier said.

"Well, I guess I'll wish you all the best luck in your fight, I got my own to get back to, but just remember you got an ally." Spider-Man said.

"Will do, it's been a privilege fighting beside you, thank you for everything, Spider-Man." Professor Xavier said.

Spider-Man is shaking hands with the Professor, he then shakes hands with Hank and Jean before turning to Rogue.

"We should team up again sometime, Sugah." Rogue flirting.

"Flattered, but I'm already taken." Spider-Man said.

Rogue sighed. "What a shame, to lose such a hottie like you, oh well, it's been fun while it lasted."

Rogue smiled and winked her eye as she like the moment she shared with Spider-Man, but unfortunately it wasn't meant to last, Scott intervened to speak with Spider-Man.

"Hey Spider-Man, I... I didn't get the chance to say this, but I... wanted to apologize for the way I acted last week, I misjudged you." Scott Summers said.

"It's fine, and to be honest I didn't exactly do my part to show my trust in you either." Spider-Man said.

"Well, I guess that's true, but you're okay in my book, I'd be happy to fight beside you any day." Scott Summers extends his hand.

Spider-Man took Scott's hand and shakes hands as they made peace with each other, Jean smiled as she's proud of Scott for doing right by her and Spider-Man.

"Let me walk you out." Bobby offered.

Spidey stopped shaking hands with Scott as he waved his hand goodbye to the rest of the X-Men, he hopes to team up with them again someday, he and Bobby are walking out of the mansion towards the gate where his Spider-Cycle is waiting.

"You know last week, we made quite a team, you and I." Bobby said.

"Spider-Man and Iceman, a pair of amazing friends, what are the odds?" Spider-Man said.

Bobby smiled. "Yeah, we should call ourselves the amazing friends, maybe add one more person, make this a trio."

"I like the idea, either way, I'd be happy to team up with you again someday, Iceman." Spider-Man said.

"Likewise, Spider-Man." Bobby likes the idea.

Spider-Man and Iceman shakes hands as they've formed a new friendship, calling themselves the amazing friends. Spider-Man leaves the school and hops on his bike, he waves goodbye to Bobby before driving away, Spider-Man has new allies of mutants called the X-Men.

Later around 7:34 PM at a private robotics company called Trask Industries, the company's owner Dr. Bolivar Trask is waiting outside as a car pulled up, Henry Gyrich is getting out of the driver's seat and Dr. Trask came up to welcome his most trusted ally as the two shake hands.

"Greetings Gyrich, I've been waiting for you." Trask said.

"Apologies Trask, I had to be discreet, the Senator doesn't know about our agenda, it's better this way. I take it your mutant solution is ready." Gyrich is eager to see it.

"Follow me." Trask leads the way.

Trask and Gyrich enters the building as they reach a private elevator where only Trask has access as he placed his palm on the scanner, the elevator opens up as they enter it together, it's taking them down below to a private lab no one knows about, the elevator finally arrived as they got out and started talking about their plans for mutants.

"I saw on the news, is it's done?" Trask asking about the registration act.

"It's law now, the mutant registration act is now in effect, mutants all across the country will be forced to registers and reveal themselves to the public, we'll be able to know who they are and where to find them." Gyrich assures the registration act is legit.

"Good, once all mutants are finally identified, you'll give me full access to the mutant registration's database." Trask walking beside Gyrich.

"We need to keep this operation under the radar, we can't attract too much attention to anyone, not even our own government. Spider-Man spokes on behalf of mutants, no doubt the Avengers will support them too." Gyrich said.

"Which is why we need to take matters into our own hands and deal with mutants ourselves and this is how." Trask stopped as they arrived.

Trask turns the lights on and reveals his solutions to protect all of humanity, to hunt and eliminate mutants, a giant robot all maroon and purple armed with weapons and flight capabilities as Gyrich is amazed by what he is seeing with his own two eyes.

"Fascinating, what is this?" Gyrich is impressed.

"This is merely the first of it's kind, the protector of humanity, I call it... Sentinel." Trask reveals the Sentinel.

Trask and Gyrich both smiled as they have a weapon designed to hunt down mutants called Sentinel, they plan to unleash it in time as the mutants, including the X-Men are in for the fight of their lives.

Around the same time back at the Xavier Mansion, down below in the subterranean level, Professor Xavier and Hank are heading towards Cerebro while discussing the recent event in the past week concerning the Brotherhood's growth in power.

"I don't see how we can fight the Brotherhood with just six of us, many more mutants have already joined them and they're getting stronger." Hank McCoy said.

"Which is way we need to get stronger too, there are many good mutants out there in the world, just like us, we need to find them." Professor Xavier said.

Professor Xavier arrived at the room where a machine called Cerebro is waiting, it's linked to a specially designed helmet the Professor is putting on his head, he then access it and amplifies his telepathic powers to locate anyone across the globe as Hank does nothing and waits while the Professor is looking for some mutants to add to their ranks in the X-Men, he then opens his eyes as he already found a suitable candidate.

"You found someone already?" Hank McCoy said.

"Yes Hank, one I find very mysterious and yet fascinating, he's in Tokyo, Japan, his name... is Logan." Professor Xavier revealed the name of the mutant.
