Chapter 6

Eric's POV:

I landed safely in the parking lot of Fangtasia with Sookie in tow. I set her down, grabbed her backpack, and we walked toward the employees back door. Without even knocking, a tall brown-haired vampire opens the door.

"We are honored to have you back, your majesty," he says as he bows to me. "And Ms. Stackhouse, you are most welcome here."

"Thank you," Sookie says politely as I nodded to him.

We walked down the hallway and entered the vacant bar. Nothing had changed. Even my black golden throne was still the same.

Pam entered the room wearing a black, shiny jumpsuit and her hair tied up in a ponytail. She looked a bit apprehensive.

"Master," she said as she kneeled down in front of me.

"Rise Pamela," I said to her. She stood up and I placed my hand underneath her chin.

"I am truly sorry for abandoning you my child," I said sincerely.

She looked at me, her eyes brimmed with blood. "There is nothing to be sorry for Master. I knew it wasn't really you."

"Nevertheless, nothing should have ever come between us," I said.

She took a step back.

"What's the situation?" I asked going back to issue at hand.

Pam cleared her throat. "The Queen went ape-shit after you disappeared with Sookie. She sent everyone all over the city to look for you. She called me a dozen times asking where you and Sookie were. I tried my best to bullshit her, but she didn't take the bait. Then she had the nerve to try and 'command' me to help her bring you back. I told her to go eat a bag of dicks and hung up on her. I had to block her number, she wouldn't stop calling me."

Do you know where she is now?" I ask.

"She is on her way here to Shreveport. I believe her plan is to 'force me' to help her. She knows you and Sookie were in Bon Temps. Her private charter is due to arrive anytime."

"Who do we have here?" I reply.

"Thirty vamps are here. They are ready to die for you in combat. I also called in a favor with the Shreveport wolf pack. They are willing to provide twenty weres. They should be here shortly. Amelia Broadway is also here, downstairs. She is already in the process of putting up protective wards just in case Freyda tries to enchant you again. I have informed Sookie's guards of her whereabouts and they are heading this way to help provide protection for her."

"I need a change of clothes," I say to her.

"In your office. I have laid everything out that you require this evening," Pam said.

"Thank you Pam. As always, you are more than ten steps ahead of me," I say to her sincerely.

I placed my hand on Sookie's back and led her to my office. Now that she was back with me, I was never letting her out of my sight again.

I put Sookie's backpack on the white leather sofa. I looked and saw the items Pam placed on my desk. I picked up my sword and swung and twirled it in my hand.

I ripped open my shirt and tossed it aside. I kicked off my dress shoes and pulled my trousers down. I rarely wore underwear anymore. I looked back at Sookie who was eyeing my ass, her mouth agape. I could hear a soft moan coming from her throat.

I slowly walked towards her. Her eyes didn't leave my well-endowed cock.

"See anything you like?" I smirk.

All of a sudden, she jumped on me. I held her up by holding onto her ass and she wrapped her legs around my waist. She started kissing me feverishly as I swirled my tongue against hers.

She broke away from our kiss. "Everything will be ok, Eric," she said as she was panting.

"To this I have no doubt," I replied.

I put my clothes on. I put on my black leather jacket and leaned against the desk. I held out my arms to Sookie gesturing her to come to me.

She came and I held her against me, wrapping my arms around her waist.

"Sookie, if something happens to me, I want you to get out of here quickly. Run away or even try to teleport again," I said. "I want you to be as far away from her as possible. There is no telling what she may do. I'd prefer if you stood in the back with your guards. You are already in danger just by being here. I cannot put you in even more if you stood by me. I cannot guarantee that I can protect you as well as I should."

She started to rub her hands against my chest in a soothing, comforting motion.

"Eric, my place is with you. I will not hide in the corner. I am aware of the dangers that I'm in. You seem to forget, I'm not as weak as I used to be," she told me.

"I have never thought of you as weak for as long as I have known you," I said as I caressed her hair.

She smiled. "Eric, I will stand with you. Do not worry about me, I can fight."

I smiled back at her. "As you wish."

Just then came a knock on the door.

"Enter," I called.

Pam walked in. "The queen has just landed. She will be here in a few minutes."

"Everything's ready?" I said.

"Yes," she replied.

We grabbed our weapons and walked out into the bar. The room was full of vampires and weres. We stood in the centre of the room.

I could hear a rumbling as the front doors swung open.

It was Freyda, surrounded by forty or more vampires. I scanned over them quickly. They were part of our retinue. None of them older than two hundred years. Most of our seasoned vampire staff had died when Covid hit our kingdom.

Her eyes scanned the room quickly, taking in the vampires and weres behind my back.

She walked closer to me. "Eric, my beloved husband, I'm so glad you're alright! When you disappeared, all I heard was a loud pop! I thought she had killed you! I have never been so worried in my life!" She looked at Sookie.

She held out her wrist. "Something is wrong with us! Our bond!" she exclaimed. "You must be hungry, quick, take my blood."

When I hadn't moved, she continued to ramble. "We will forget what happened tonight. I will let Pamela and these other vampires go freely. But of course, they must leave the area at once. I will even let Ms. Stackhouse return to New York on the provision that she never returns here again and never tries to contact us."

"Eric come now!" she said loudly as she held out her hand to me again.

We all stood still for a moment. "It is over," I said firmly.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"You have no control over me anymore. It is done! Freyda, you have fucked with the wrong vampire," I sneered.

She took a hard look at me and I knew instantly what she was thinking. She looked around the room bewildered and then to Sookie.

"It is her! This is all her fault! She has done something to you, my dear husband," she wailed as she pointed at Sookie.

"I knew you were nothing but a vampire's whore!" she roars as she lunges toward Sookie.

I was about to lunge at her to counter attack but someone had beat me to it. In a swift, vampire-like speed, Sookie slices Freyda's head off her shoulders. The rest of her body collapses to the floor. Her decapitated head flies into the crowd.

As soon as her head lands on the ground, the rest of Freyda's vampires attack. I swing my sword at one or more vamps. It wasn't a long battle. In less than five minutes, it was over. I looked over at Sookie who was swinging her blade in the air, trying to clear the blood off of it. She didn't look hurt. I looked and saw that we had lost no one. All of Freyda's vampires were dead though. Their body parts scattered all over the floor.

I could sense the vampire blood lust in the room. It was affecting me as well. I grabbed Sookie and in vampire speed, we were back in my office. My hands roamed over her body. I was checking to make sure she wasn't injured but at the same time, my lust for her was increasing.

"Pamela!" I yelled.

She was in the office within seconds.

It was already late. The sun would be rising in a few hours.

"Call the cleaners. We also need a place to rest for the day," I told her.

"You have access to my home," she said. "Your code hasn't changed. I have prepared the bedroom you kept for you and Sookie."

I didn't say anything else to Pam as I carried Sookie out of the bar and flew straight into the air.
