Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Shooting Blanks. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Black Lagoon; Rei Hiroe and a few others do.
There was a rage that filled Andros…. One that was fed by much more than petty anger. It was a burning stone within his stomach which was fed more and more by the losses sustained from the last battle.
However? It wasn't really like he had many options when it came down to it. There would always be losses as long as battle raged. All Andros cared about currently was defeating the enemy and keep as many of his soldiers alive as possible.
"Someone gets the report." Andros ordered before he sighed to himself, annoyed. "I'll be in my room." Andros added before he left the makeshift command center.
There was something bothering him when it came down to it. He knew the rebels had been getting bolder, they constantly used to strike daily… But the ones who located him? It was almost like they had known where he was, like they wanted HIM in particular.
If that was true? It meant that they had tracked him and him alone…. Which could only mean one thing.
"Alexis…" Andros muttered as he shook his head. "Damn him, I told him I wanted nothing to do with the rebels… And then he proceeds to drag me into this crap for no reason other than he feels like it." Andros added before he hung his head and leaned on the wall.
"I should have killed him years ago." Andros stated as he rubbed his nose. "There's plenty of work to do. He puts me in a bleed hearting situation. I cannot believe him, I'll shut him up with a bullet to the head." Andros added before he started to walk towards the command center.
Still? There was too much at stake for him to simply defend his friend's actions. They had plenty of issues to deal with, he wanted to scream at the moment. His soldiers needed to attend to the battle as he started to walk home.
"I cannot believe what he did to our army." Andros stated while he rubbed at his temples. "There's too much work now and I have more things to do." Andros stated before he clicked his fingers on the wall.
"Sir?" Andros heard as he turned to look at the soldier. "We've checked supplies. There's a small number of them unattended to. I don't know what will happen next. Should I double check it?" Andros also heard as he sighed.
"Do it, we need every single supply we can end up using." Andros added before he hummed. "And make sure to bring the manifest to me when you're done. I need to check it for something that I heard Alexis is busy doing." Andros ordered before he leaned on the wall deeper, contemplating his options currently and sadly.
"Damn him. I'd kill him if I didn't consider the lives of these soldiers." Andros whispered to himself and leaning back into the chair. "That piece of trash probably wanted me like this. If I can't focus on what's going on? I can't deal with the pain cutting through my damn head like this." Andros added while he shook his head and started to sigh to himself.
"I'd kill him just for getting me to this point if I didn't someone who could handle the military affairs." Andros added to himself while he leaned back to look at the rest of the people whom served him.
Andros was annoyed by this, but there was plenty of issues with his plans. The rebels needed a new commander whom cared about him. He would have to stand in at least someone whom could handle these affairs.
Andros tapped his fingers in front of him on the desk while he started to think of what happens next. If it was indeed that easy? He'd have stepped back to allow someone else take over the commander role. He was happy to vacate the position when it was all done and such.
"I need to make a call to someone." Andros stated while he shook his head.
He cleared his throat while he slowly started to sit up. Andros reached for the corded phone and let a sigh. The former military officer didn't know what to do at the time, but he did know as of now.
Andros wanted his friend to be thrown into a wall or something similarly painful. He believed that he had betrayed him when it came to it.
'How many times do you want to control and use me? I don't want to be part of this war. I don't want to be a soldier for something I don't believe in, and yet you want to hurt me.' Andros mentally stated before he looked around.
There were still aspects of the base that needed to be addressed. Andros slowly started towards the door from the room.
Author Notes
Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter will be longer. I apologize for these short chapters at the moment. Next chapter will be delayed at the time. Next chapter will be 900-4500 words and will show Andros trying to contact Balaika and such. The chapter will be in 2-10 months and will be longer than this one. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
