Sookie's POV:

I woke up the next morning with a throbbing headache. I looked around the room and for a few seconds I had forgotten where I was or rather what year I was in.

"Ugh!" I groaned. My body was sore and it felt like I had a slight fever. I'm pretty sure the combination of a two mile walk in the cold and the hardships of time travel was the source as to why I was feeling like shit.

I was hungry as well.

I called downstairs and ordered room service. I needed coffee, a large cup of strong coffee and aspirin. Luckily, I had put some in my satchel bag.

After I finished eating, I took a long, warm shower to ease my sore joints and muscles. I didn't have any more clothes so I put on the ones I was wearing last night. I tried to do my hair the way the hair stylist had shown me.

I sort of had a plan on how to gain the attention of the King at the nightclub tonight. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that my idiotic plan wasn't going to work. My plan was to approach Alexander when he arrived and to somehow plant the letter in his outfit. Perhaps in his coat. But if royalty was like how it is in my time, then there would be no way I could get close to him without being stopped by bodyguards. Besides, he would probably just throw it in the garbage if he found something in his coat pocket. I knew I needed to 'charm' him like what Octavius had said. But there was no way I was going to put myself in uncompromising position and sleep with him. I was going to have to use my charms on him though to get close to him, at the very least. It had been a very long time since I last flirted with another man, to at least try and get a man's attention. I had been married for ten years. And the only other man whom I wanted was Eric. I definitely didn't do any flirting with him in our recent interactions. Did I even know how to flirt? I had minimum experience with the opposite sex despite my serious relationships. I had never even gone out to bars to flirt with men before when I was known as Crazy Sookie in Bon Temps. Christ I was an amateur! He will see right through me! I ran my fingers through my hair and took deep breaths.

Having a panic attack was soooo not going to help me right now. I thought about what Alexander said last night. He said he enjoyed disco dancing and that he spent way too much of his time with it. A light bulb went off in my head. That was one of the things I had always been good at. I could never carry a tune, but I sure knew how to dance! Disco dancing was one of the things I learned during my many hours of dance lessons in New York. I mastered 'the hustle' after one session. That's it! I was going to attract him with my dancing skills.

If I was going to impress him with my dancing skills, I had to have the most sexiest dress and heels to go with it. I was pretty sure there was going to be a throng of gorgeous young girls vying for his attention. This was going to be like survival of the fittest. I cursed myself for not choosing one of those sexy dresses last night to wear. I had to go shopping. My hotel was located downtown so the boutiques were going to be within walking distance. I put my coat on and decided to go shopping!

I had no trouble finding the high-end boutiques in downtown Stockholm. I was trying on a few different dresses. I had a hard time choosing between dresses so I chose a couple different options to buy. I also bought a few pairs of sweaters, heels, and slacks. The employee was working on commission so she was eager to show me more. I also picked some underwear, stockings, bras, and another coat. She also recommended makeup and hair products.

After an hour of shopping, I took my purchases back to the hotel. I had noticed a spa in the lobby. After all the stress that I'd been feeling lately, I knew I needed some much self-needed care. I decided to arrange for a massage, facial, and a makeover.

I spent the next two hours unwinding in the spa. It was so therapeutic.

I had a light dinner. I didn't want to risk getting a stomach cramp if I was going to be dancing up a storm at 'Club Enigma' tonight.

I was thankful the spa did my makeup and even my hair. The hair stylist curled my hair in soft waves and put a ton of hair spray in it to make sure the waves didn't go flat.

After debating the pros and cons of each dress, I decided to go with the red silk chiffon Halston dress. I paired it with silver heels. I also wore my new cream-colored coat with white fur wrapped around the collar.

It was nearing 9:30pm, so I decided to make my way to the club. The hotel called a taxi and picked me up. There was already a long line-up of people trying to get in. As I scanned the line, I could sense a few voids. I was about to walk to the end of the line, when a bouncer gestured to me.

"Miss! Miss!" The bug burly bouncer yelled. A club promoter who was standing on a stool behind him was pointing at me. She's got great tits! I bet the master will enjoy her! He thought to himself in English.

The bouncer opened the velvet rope and moved aside to let me in. Pheww! I thought to myself as I heard the groans and mutters of disappointment of the people waiting in line. I told the bouncer thanks and handed him a tip as I made my way through the doors. The coat check lady took my coat and even offered to take my purse but I declined. I had Alexander's letter in there and I was hoping that I would get the chance to give it to him ASAP.

The music and the crowd noise were getting louder as I got closer to the main club. The club looked fantastic! There were hundreds of mirrors along the walls along with a cascading water wall near the bar. There were bright, shiny disco lights above the large dance floor which was currently filled with dozens of people dancing to the latest song by Rod Stewart. Purple coloured booths were occupied with customers drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes and cigars. There were some who were even snorting cocaine.

I scanned the entire room looking for Alexander but I didn't see him. I looked up to the VIP section. There were a few people sitting up there and drinking. I decided to go sit at the bar which seemed to have the best view of the club. I needed a drink to help calm my nerves so I ordered a gin and tonic.

I turned around in my stool to face the crowd and bobbed my head along to the music. I hadn't even taken a sip of my drink before a man came up to me and asked me to dance. I politely declined. A few minutes I was approached by another. I declined again as well. A few others approached and offered to buy me a drink or sit with them at their booths. After awhile, it had gotten sooooo annoying receiving unwanted attention. Now I knew how Eric felt when he would sit on his throne at Fangtasia.

I had been sitting at the bar for almost a half hour. I was starting to lose hope that the king of Sweden would show up. Maybe I was at the wrong club? Suddenly, the crowds started to clap and cheer. Loud squeals of women filled the room. I looked towards the entrance and saw him standing there smiling and waving to the crowd. A spotlight was on him as the sound of the music started fading. He was surrounded by his security but he also had several beautiful women standing beside him and behind him. His brown hair was slicked back. He was wearing a sparkly silver coloured shirt and black shiny trousers. I started to feel even more nervous but at the same time my confidence began to rise. I was determined to complete my mission tonight.

I watched as he walked towards the dancefloor flanked by his entourage. The dancing patrons vacated the floor and gathered around it as Alexander and his women went to the centre. He looked towards the DJ booth and they began playing a new song. I stood up to get a better view. Alexander started dancing with two of the women. I could see why he loved disco dancing. He was an exceptional dancer. The crowd was cheering him on and chanting his name. I couldn't help but clap along with the crowd. I didn't know how I was going to get on that dance floor to impress him. It was crowded and some people were trying to get closer but to no avail. No one wanted to move. As he danced around the floor, the two women tried their best to keep up with him. When he wasn't satisfied with his partners, he gestured to his bodyguard to take the woman away and she was soon replaced by another. I watched as the rejected women ran away towards the exit crying and upset. By the time he finished dancing, he had gone through six dance partners.

All the women were brilliant dancers too. I started questioning my dancing abilities.

I watched him as he and his bodyguards went up to the VIP area with new women in tow. The dance floor started to fill up again.

I ordered another drink. I think I needed a shot of confidence. I downed my drink quickly, readying myself to put my plan in motion. There was a bouncer guarding the VIP entrance. I hoped he would let me through. I didn't walk too far before luck caught up to me.

A man behind me tapped me on my shoulder. It was a void mind.

"Mr. Karlsson wishes for you to join him in his booth upstairs. Do you accept?" he asked. He was a vampire and he was all dressed in black.

"Yes, I do," I responded nervously.

He led me up the stairs. Alexander was sitting in the booth flanked by women on each of his side. He was smiling and looked like he was in the middle of a story. The women looked at him like he was some sort of god.

He stopped and looked up at me as I stood in front of him. The vampire went behind him and whispered something into his ear. He smiled as he scrutinized me from top to bottom. His eyes fixated on my breasts for too long before he met my eyes.

"Would you like to sit down?" he asked.

I plastered on a smile and nodded eagerly. Take it down a notch Sookie, I thought to myself. He motioned to one of the women to move over so that I could sit beside him.

Needless to say, she wasn't too happy to make room for me.

I took the space beside him.

"I am Alexander Karlsson. I am the owner of this club," he said.

Crap, what do I say next? I thought in a panic. "My name is Anna Kingsbury. I love your club. You really are a good dancer," in my Southern drawl.

Oh… my… god. I could feel the heat in my cheeks rising as he stayed silent. I wouldn't blame him if he waved me off like those other women.

"Do you like to dance?" he asked.

"Yes, I love dancing. Nothing gives me more pleasure," I responded. Maybe I still had a shot.

"Miss Kingsbury, would you like to dance with me?"

I nodded my head. Alexander got up and offered his hand to me. I took it and he led me downstairs. I wrapped my arm around his. I could hear the women in the booth cursing me in their minds for taking him away and gaining his attention.

When we reached the dancefloor, everyone retreated and there was just him and me. 'Disco Inferno' began playing and Alexander started dancing. I wasn't quite sure what to do so I joined him. It didn't take me long to match his rhythm as he started dancing. He twirled me around a few times and we did some lifts. I could hear the crowd cheering us on. Their excitement was spurring me on to dance harder. I took the lead a few times and added a few modern-day elements to my choreography. A new song started playing and he stopped dancing.

"I want to watch you dance," he whispered into my ear huskily. He hands lingered a little too long on my backside.

He moved to the side as I started my solo dance. The more I danced, the more the crowd cheered me on. I could feel their excitement. I couldn't help but enjoy myself as I did all the disco moves I could think of.

I was met with loud applause at the end of my dance as I was catching my breath. Alexander was about to approach me when a vampire came up to him and spoke into his ear.

He listened and came up to me. He held both my hands in his. "You are a beautiful dancer, my dear. One of the best I've seen in a long time. May you excuse me for a moment? I have to meet some business associates in my office for a few minutes. Why don't you stay here and dance some more or you can go up to booth and enjoy some drinks on me. It is up to you."

I politely responded and he left. The DJ started playing the Night Fever dance line and the floor started filling up again. I didn't want to sit with those girls upstairs, so I decided to join in. I found a spot and began dancing. I was enjoying the beat of the music when a man, a human man, started to approach. I was getting ready to turn him down, when he stopped dead in his tracks and ran off the floor briskly. He looked a little frightened. Suddenly, I felt two hands on my hips and a void mind. Alexander. He must've finished his business meeting. He was standing so close behind me so I started moving my hips to the song and closed my eyes. After a minute or so, he twirled me around to face him.

I froze and I think my heart stopped. For one moment the music just faded away as I stared up at my vampire, my Eric. A ton of different emotions hit me all at once. I was so elated that I wanted to jump into his arms. I wanted to cry and I yearned for him to carry me away from this place and to tell me that everything was going to be okay.

But I couldn't. This Eric wasn't mine, at least not during this era. If I did what I truly wanted to do with him, his reaction probably wouldn't be too positive. He would see me a threat if he knew that I knew who and what he was. The song ended and a slower Bee Gees song began to play. He still hadn't said anything to me and I was waiting to him to say something first.

He held out his hand to me. I took it and he pulled me closer to him. We started dancing to the song. He twirled me around the floor as we moved together. I smiled at him as we danced. He was a good dancer as well. Towards the end of the song, he dipped me and we locked eyes. I couldn't help but let my love for him overwhelm me. He slowly brought me up and leaned in close to me. I thought he was going to kiss me but instead he smelled my hair and brushed his lips against my cheek.

"Vem är du?" he asked. He looked confused but at the same time cautious.

I plastered on my Crazy Sookie smile. Oh shit….
