Christmas Dinner

The pink haired girl skipped down the sidewalk with ease despite the snow and ice that harshly coated over it. She was so used to this weather that the cold wasn't bothering her. Bags wrapped around her arms filled with enough food to hopefully last for the week plus some extra for Christmas Dinner. It was all thanks to the stranger that was currently resting in her apartment that this was all possible. "Paige really is something else." She spoke out loud thinking back to how ballsy this girl apparently was. None of them have ever attempted to go after Torrie Wilson like that; it's more likely that you would end up in jail than escape. But the rookie managed to escape with help of Daisy, Liv was curious to know why her friend was watching Wilson for. Maybe the raven haired woman was thinking to do what Paige had succeeded in doing, Liv knew that could have spelled disaster for her friend. She dismissed the thoughts of losing her friends away and continued her way back home. The pink haired woman was pretty hungry and was eager to get started on dinner. It wasn't going to be a massive feast like she desired for Christmas but it will suffice. She was spending the holidays with the closest people in her life since Liv's family doesn't care about her at all. Liv turned the corner to go down the alleyway to avoid all the people and the urge to snag something else on the way. No reason to be greedy at the moment. An arm was quick to wrap her waist which earned a gasp from the woman as she got pulled back toward whoever grabbed her. There was no way in hell that Liv wasn't going down without a fight. "Motherfu-" She started to scream as she turned back to face her potential kidnapper ready to attack but her eyes laid upon a very familiar face. "Ah! Babe, don't do that! You asshole, I almost decked you in the face with my bags."

Liv huffed annoyed at the woman, who could only smile at the adorable pouty face the pink haired woman was making. "I love you babe." Ruby cooed, wrapping her arms around the slender waist. She planted a small kiss on the crook of Liv's neck, earning a small giggle. "You had your guard down, you know how dangerous that is." Ruby Riott was the oldest out of the group that lives in the apartment. Her and Liv had met about a year before meeting Daisy, they decided to run away together whenever they found out Ruby's family wouldn't accept the relationship. Here they are two years later and going strong.

Ruby had long, dark red hair with one side completely shaved off, normally her clothing would show her massive amount of tattoos all over her body but on missions, they definitely needed to be hidden. She wore a baggy hoodie and a pair of black sweatpants, she hated wearing something so baggy but Ruby wasn't risking getting caught. "Shush, I know. Still didn't have to do that, asshole. Anyways, I have groceries." The pink haired woman spoke excitedly, holding up the bags.

The redheaded woman made an 'o' shape with her mouth as she tried examining what all was in the bags. There was no way they had enough funds to grab all that. Unless Liv was able to pocket or seduce some money from horny fucks. Ruby was very curious. "Where did you get the money for that?"

"I will explain that on the way home." Liv pointed down the alleyway, she wanted to get home and start cooking. The shorter of the couple looked closer and saw a small bruise on her girlfriend's cheek. Her blood started boiling, someone was going to die. "Babe! What happened to your face? Who did that to you?"

"Ah, this isn't much of a problem. I handled it myself. It doesn't hurt that bad. Anyways, I got something for us too." Liv cocked her head to the side as she watched Ruby walk over and grab a box that was sitting on the ground nearby. "Stupid fucks didn't even notice, we have enough meat to last a week or two."

"You are the best babe, now let's get home. We have an extra guest staying with us for the time being and I know you will like her." A new guest was news to the older woman but it probably connects in some way as to how Liv managed to get money for the groceries. On the way home, the pink haired woman explained what Daisy had toward her about the young teenager named Paige. Ruby couldn't believe what her girlfriend had said, but Daisy wouldn't have lied about something like that. A dangerous little rookie belongs in this group, Ruby was excited to meet Paige. The loving couple opened the door to the apartment as Liv shouted, "D, we are back and got food!" The door shut as they started working on putting what they weren't going to put up.

Ruby looked to the couch in the living where Paige was suppose to be resting only for the space to be not occupied. "Hm? The girl isn't on the couch, do you think they went somewhere?"

The pink haired woman looked over to the couch where she had last seen Paige; this was weird. That wasn't the only thing off about the scenario, their roommate has yet to come out and greet them. "Hm? Daisy hasn't come out of her room either. Maybe she decided to take the rookie out on a run to teach her the ropes." The raven haired woman wasn't one to go places without letting the couple know with how dangerous their lifestyle is, communication was important. Ruby started putting the meat in the freezer and Liv started grabbing the pots and pans needed for this feast. That's whenever she remembered that Daisy had mentioned taking a cat nap while she was gone. That makes a lot of sense but does that mean that Paige just bailed on them? Liv walked back toward the bedroom, she had to make sure that D was safe. She made sure to crack the door quietly and was almost shocked at the sight in front of her. Daisy wasn't alone in her bed, Paige was laying in there with her. Both were resting peacefully as the newbie seemed to be snuggled close to Daisy.

"Let them rest, they will wake up whenever they smell the food." Ruby whispered, looking into the room with a smile of her own. Liv nodded in agreement as she shut the door gently. Both of them needed comfort and seemed to be similar in some ways. It was pretty cute, Liv was definitely going to pick on them later. "I got a pork roast here that we can cook, there is a recipe that I want to try."

"Hell yeah babe, I will start with some of the other stuff. Put on some music." The pink haired woman was ecstatic to see that they would finally get to have a good feast for the holidays although there were no presents. That didn't matter, they had each other. Ruby started out by putting on her favorite band, Rancid while the couple started to prepare the dinner. Occasionally goofing off and dancing together in between, they were having the time of their lives. Every single day was a different adventure and the pair thrived on it. One song turned into many as two hours had passed and the food was pretty much done. The plates were now set down and everything was about ready to be served. The door to the bedroom slowly opened as both women slowly made their way out of the bedroom. "Look who decided to wake up after everything has been cooked, hello sleeping beauties."

Daisy rubbed her eyes a little bit as she looked at the food in front of her. "Holy shit! Liv and Rube, this smells amazing!" She was clueless about the couple planning an actual Christmas Dinner this year. It gave the raven haired woman mixed emotions as she wanted to think back to the family she used to love, but they don't matter anymore. These girls were her family now and all she needed.

Paige, on the other hand, couldn't form words to express what she was feeling at the moment. She was still tired but that nap did help a good bit. She was finally warm and the massive feast in front of her was making her stomach do flips. Her stomach growled loudly which attracted the attention of all three of the girls. Paige mentally scolded herself, she was so embarrassed. "Go ahead and have as much as you want, it's because of you that we have this." It was a redhead woman with a lot of tattoos that spoke to the British woman. She had no idea who this was. "The name is Ruby by the way, I am Liv's girlfriend. Nice to meet you, Paige."

Paige nodded her head at the new information, it cleared a couple things up for her. So Liv and Ruby are dating; that means that Daisy is single then. The young girl mentally scolded herself again at thinking those weird thoughts. Why does that matter? Daisy was playfully flirting with her but that could be her personality. Yes maybe, they slept in the same bed and snuggled but that was to keep warm. "Nice to meet you, Ruby. Thank you so much, you all have been so nice to me." Paige was finally able to speak, getting all those thoughts about the woman who saved her and pushed to the back of her mind.

"It's not a problem cutie, you are welcome to stay here as long as you like." Daisy patted the youngest girl on the shoulder, giving her another little wink. Paige felt her face heating up again as a plate was placed in her hands. "However, you are going to be properly taught how to live like us. We won't force you, that is a decision solely up to you. Let's eat, I am starving and I know you are too." Paige let out a content hum as she started putting stuff on her plate; it was almost a bittersweet feeling. This was the first Christmas not at home with her family, she wanted to think that they missed her. Were they even looking for her? The raven haired woman knew that it didn't matter now, she found somewhere that she belonged and wanted to stay. This was her new family.
