Eric's POV:

Several months had passed since the queen had made the discovery about Sookie's fae heritage. Though she did not keep me informed, I believed that she was not able to track down Niall Brigant. Maybe it was because he did not want to contact her, or that he was still deciding when to connect to Sookie. Either way, the queen was drawing too much attention to Sookie and Hadley. I was beginning to worry that Braedon would eventually find out about Niall's human blood relations. So far, the protection that I had hired to watch Sookie in Bon Temps had found no traces of faery scent in her woods.

Other problems were also arising in Shreveport as well. A coven of witches had recently arrived in town. One of them had the gall to show up at Fangtasia and threaten Pam one night. That night I had spent the night with Sookie in Bon Temps. She demanded money in order for her coven to not bewitch the bar and the patrons. The witch also demanded to see me in person.

It was a Thursday night and Sookie was working the evening shift at Merlotte's. I had told her many times that I would take care of her and her grandmother, but she always told me that she did not want to be a 'kept woman'. She liked to work, even if it was in the service industry. I had offered to pay for her to attend college if she wanted a career. She declined that offer. One of the reasons she gave me was that it would be difficult for her to concentrate in classes when she could hear the thoughts of other people. The other issue was that she did not want to borrow money or receive it as a gift from me. I even offered her a job to work for me in my bar. She declined that offer as well.

Stubborn woman, I thought to myself many times after having countless conversations with Sookie, regarding her work and home. I wanted her to move in with me, but she did not want to leave her grandmother. Her grandmother did not want to leave Bon Temps either. The one thing I still planned was to ask for her hand in marriage. Vermont was close to making vampire/human marriages legal. I already bought a ring and planned the details of the marriage proposal.

I was planning on sorting through invoices and other work-related papers, then sit out on my throne in the bar this evening, when someone knocked on my door.

I knew it was Pam and someone else.

"Enter," I said as I looked at a bar expense.

Pam entered my office with a homely looking woman.

"Who are you?" I asked, hoping this woman would get straight to the point.

"I am Hallow Stonebrook," she replied.

I looked up from my papers and went through my memory to find where I had heard that name before.

It was the witch!

Before I could react, she started saying some chants in Latin rapidly. Pam and I were frozen. I looked at Pam and there was fear in her eyes.

"Now, I came here the other day and was very polite with this woman," the witch said. "Unfortunately, she wasn't so polite to me though."

The witch ran her hand down my frozen chest. "We only wanted a small fee for a promise that we would not cause you or the bar harm. But then I saw you a week ago from a far and I knew that I wanted you as well."

I still was not able to respond or move. There's no chance in hell of that happening!

The witch kept fondling my body as I stood still. She leaned in to place a kiss on my cheek.

I was so going to take a bleach bath after this, I thought to myself.

"I did a little digging about you, Mr. Tall, Blonde, and Sexy. Apparently, someone has already stolen your heart. A nice, young, woman in Bon Temps, who is currently serving some rednecks food and beer in a shifters bar," she added.

She patted my ass and took a few steps back from me. A man entered the room and closed the door. This must be her brother.

"You formed a blood bond with her," she said.

You fuckers better not harm a hair on her head! I roared out silently.

The male witch smiled. "You've made him very angry."

They held hands and starting chanting in a language I had not heard before. The air in my office began to smell strange and I could feel something powerful happening.

After a few minutes, a black smoke whirled around the room and then they were gone. Pam and I jerked forward as we were both released from the spell.

"What was that?" Pam asked.

I did not answer her. I pulled out my cell phone and dialed Merlotte's immediately. Sookie had finally bought a cell phone but she did not use it while she was working, nor kept it on her.

"Merlotte's," the annoying red-haired waitress answered. Sookie still considered this woman a friend, even though she looked her nose down at our relationship. That was still one of Sookie's weaknesses, her naivety.

"Put Sookie on the phone now!" I demanded.

"You do not have to yell! She is working!" she screamed out.

"Wait, I don't see her on the floor," she said.

I waited on the phone for a few minutes longer, "I don't see her anywhere, she's not in the back. She's probably taking a break, call back in about 15 minutes."

I hung up the phone and dialed the vampire guard that I had hired to watch Sookie.

"Where is she?" I asked calmly.

"Hold on," the guard said. His name was Armand and I had hired him from a California protection agency.

A few minutes later, he was on the line again, "She is not in the bar nor outside. Her purse, keys, and cell are still in the shifters office. Her car is still in the parking lot."

"Fuck!" I yelled out angrily.

"Go to her house and find her. I will meet you there," I said.

"Eric, what is going on?" Pam asked.

"Sookie is missing," I responded. "I think they took her or sent her somewhere with their magic."

I bolted out of my office and took off into the air.

Sookie's POV:

Where am I? I asked myself.

I put my hands on my face and body. "Who am I?"

"I can't remember my name!" I said in a panicked tone.

I looked around. It was dark and cold. I looked up into the dark sky and noticed the beautiful stars and moon right away. I was grateful for the moon as it shone down brightly on the beautiful lake that was in front of me.

The beauty of the place almost mesmerized me, but then I suddenly remembered that I didn't even know who I was.

I searched my pockets for clues but found nothing. The wind started to blow more, and I was getting cold. I started shivering and decided to follow the narrow path that led into the woods. I was already panicked but was feeling even worse because I had no idea where I was.

I stopped as I sensed something nearby. It was like an empty space but it was moving.

I was so scared. I didn't know whether to scream or be prepared to fight.

I picked up at thick branch and got into a defense position.

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8….. I least I still know how to count, I thought to myself.

Whatever it was, was getting closer.

I prepared myself for whatever was coming.

"I was not expecting company," a male voice said to me from behind.

"Ahhhh!" I shrieked as I swung my stick at him.

He held up his arm and the wood shattered.

I started to run as fast as I could. I was doing well, when suddenly I tripped on a rock. As I began to fall, but someone caught me in their arms before I hit the ground.

He flipped me over to face him.

"Are you okay?" he asked me.

I was huffing away, trying to catch my breath, as he continued to hold me.

I started moving my hair out of my eyes and face to get a better look at him.

Oh my god, I thought to myself. The stranger was breathtakingly gorgeous. He had a bit of chin stubble and dark, brown, wavy hair that went a little bit passed his shoulders. He had beautiful cheekbones and he had the deepest blue eyes I had even seen. Well, he was the only one I knew, since I still had no idea who or where I was.

He leaned down to sniff me. As he leaned in closer, I got a good whiff of how wonderful he smelled. He smelled like pine trees, fresh air and lavender. It felt like home to me, even though I had no idea where home was. Maybe he knew who I was?

"How did you come to be here?" he asked. I don't think he was asking me directly, but was wondering out loud.

"Excuse me," he said to me. He helped me to my feet. "Sometimes I forget how to behave with other people."

He gave me the most dazzling smile I had ever seen, and I think I might have moaned out a little.

"My name is Marius, do you remember me?"

I suddenly lost my will to speak as this man continued to mesmerize me.

"Oh sorry," I stammered as I tried to regain my composure.

"I'm, I'm….. I don't even know who I am," I said quietly.

"Your name is Sookie," he replied.

Sookie? What kind of name was that?

AN: So I decided to take a different turn on the amnesia story. But don't worry it is still a Sookie and Eric story. Will update when I can!
