I've decided to multi-task. So when I get done with one chapter of one of my stories, I'll start working on a chapter for a different story. This chapter may be short, but the next one will be longer. Stay safe out there.

Today, our heroes are once again traveling to the next Island. While traveling, Tracey decides to voice out his inner thoughts about something.

As the soft ocean waves lull the gang into a calm and serene atmosphere, Tracey couldn't help but think about something that had been bothering him for quite some time.

Misty notices his thoughtful expression, "What is it, Tracey? You've been making that face for a while now." Tracey always had something to say, so him being so quiet kind of worried her a little.

"I just find it so strange." He said, expression confused.

"What's strange?" Misty questioned.

Instead of answering her question, his eyes focused directly on Togepi, "Togepi doesn't seem to know any attacks." He answered.

As one, Ash, Misty, Ritchie, Tomo, and Molly all stare at him. The awkward silence, and the staring unnerved Tracey, "What is it?" He blinked, nervously, "Did I say something wrong?"

Ash stares at him for a moment before saying something, "Tracey…Togepi does know an attack move." He said.

This new information takes Tracey by surprise, "What?! Really?!" He exclaimed, clearly shocked.

"Yeah, Togepi knows Metronome. He used it before on Team Rocket when he first hatched." Ritchie explained.

"Metronome?! And on its first try?! That's amazing!" Tracey gushed, seeing Togepi in a different light.

"So does Togepi know anymore attacks?" Serena asked, curious to know about the cute little Pokémon.

Misty shakes her head, "No, and I have been trying to teach him some new moves, but so far nothing has worked." She said, Togepi giggling and moving around in her hold.

"Give it some time, Misty. Togepi's still a baby, just give him time to grow a little bit more." Ash assured her.

"Maybe you're right, just take our time and things will work out." Misty's worries faded with his reassuring words.

Before anymore talking could continue however, Lapras and the other water Pokemon are caught in a whirlpool. Hard as they tried—there was just no winning against a whirlpool.

"Everyone, hang on!" Ash yelled.

And that was all they could do as they suddenly found themselves sent flying on a nearby island.

Location—Pinkan Island

"Pika Pi (Ash)!" Pikachu called Ash's name and slapped his cheek with his little paw. The mouse Pokémon was trying to wake his friend up after they landed roughly on the island.

Groaning, Ash slowly opened his eyes and tried clearing his vision. What a horrible experience and rough landing, but at least all he got out of it was a slight headache.

"Next time we'll be more aware of whirlpools." Ash grunted, sitting up and rubbing his head.

"Pika, Pikachu (Yeah, no kidding)." Pikachu was in full agreement on that.

"Everybody okay?!" Ash called out.

Ritchie coughed out some sand, "Still alive…" he coughed.

"Pika (I'm okay)!" Sparky said.

Serena was rubbing her bottom, "Same here." She said.

"Fenne…(That was horrible…)" Fennekin groaned.

Molly and Tomo helped each other stand up, "We're okay, too." Tomo said.

"Ursa (Just a little sore)." Teddiursa said.

"No problems here." Misty sighed, holding a giggling Togepi.

Tracey was rubbing his head then realized where they were, "Hey, guys, I know where we are. This is Pinkan Island."

"Pinkan Island?" Misty questioned.

"Yeah, this Island is known for whirlpools and sheer cliffs." Tracey explained as more whirlpools appeared in the water.

"It got the whirlpool part right." Ritchie grumbled.

"Pikachu (Sure does)." Sparky agreed.

Ash looks up at the cliff, "Is it safe for us to climb this, Tracey?" He asked.

Tracey nodded, "They're safe, we just have to be careful climbing up." He said.

"Well, okay." Ash was still a little weary, but trusted Tracey.

They all climbed up the cliff very carefully and made sure not to climb up too fast. There's nothing wrong with keeping a slow pace.

Once they finally reached the top of the cliff, they were greeted with the oddest sight they'd ever seen.

Before their very eyes was a Rhyhorn, and it was not ordinary Rhyhorn either.

Serena couldn't believe what she was seeing, "Is that Rhyhorn…pink?!" How did it get to be so pink?

Tracey took out his sketch pad, "This is an amazing discovery! I have to sketch this!" He slowly creeps over towards the distracted Rhyhorn—who was busy eating fruit from a tree to notice his approach.

"Be careful, Tracey." Serena said from behind him.

"He'll be okay, Serena. He's a Pokémon Watcher, so he knows what he's doing." Misty assured her worries.

"If you say so…" Serena was still worried, but Tracey does look like a pro, so it should be fine.

Ash was impressed with Tracey as he was finally going to see how a Pokémon Watcher does things out in the field.

'Too bad Brock isn't here. He'd be impressed.' He missed his friend, but they'll see each other again someday.

Serena was feeling more anxious as Tracey got closer and closer to the unsuspecting Rhyhorn. She didn't have a very good history with this particular Pokémon and hoped it wouldn't notice her at all.

And just when Tracey was close enough to observe and draw the pink Pokémon—

—it turned its head and looked right at her.

Her blood went cold, and she was as still as a statue.

Oh, no.

"Uh, that Rhyhorn is looking at us. And I'm starting to get a bad feeling." Ritchie felt a slight shiver.

"Pikachu ( I'm starting to get flashbacks)." Sparky said, dryly.

Ash was starting to feel that, too, "This…feels very familiar…" he trailed off.

"Pikachu (Sure does)." Pikachu said.

"But why is Rhyhorn looking at us like that?" Molly wondered.

"I don't like that look." Misty's whole body tensed.

"Me neither." Tomo said.

Even Tracey, who was in close proximity to the Rhyhorn, also stilled. What happened?

Suddenly, Rhyhorn let out a roar before charging at them. Tracey scrambled to get away and follow behind the others as they were running away from an angry Rhyhorn.

"What's going on?! Why did it get so angry all of a sudden?!" Misty yelled.

"I don't know what happened! Maybe it sensed we were here and got angry!" Tracey guessed.

"Doesn't matter right now! Just run!" Ash said.

As they run away, the group notices the cliff just up ahead.

"Oh, no! We're trapped!" Serena wanted to cry right now.

Togepi started moving his little arms back and forth, using Metronome—the little egg Pokémon used the move Teleport to get everyone out of harm's way.

Serena opened her eyes and noticed they were behind the still running Rhyhorn, "Huh? What happened?"

"I think it was Togepi. He must have used Metronome again!" Molly said, smiling.

"Togephree (That was fun)!" Togepi giggled.

Ash couldn't help but smile, "Nice to know that Togepi will always be a happy little Pokémon."

"Pikachu (That might cause more problems)." Pikachu sighed,

"Oh, no! Guys, look!" Tracey points at Rhyhorn, who just went over the cliff, "We have to help it!"

"But how? We don't have any equipment to help." Ritchie pointed out.

By some miracle, help did arrive in the form of Officer Jenny, "Hey, what are you kids doing here?" She questioned them.

"Officer Jenny, thank goodness! There's a Rhyhorn that needs help! Or just went over the cliff!" Tracey tells her.

"That's not good! You kids come with me, and we'll try to help." She said to them before getting to work.

Getting her Jeep close enough, she jumped down and wrapped the rope around it before climbing back up the cliff. She got behind the wheel of her Jeep.

"Okay, here we go." Officer Jenny puts the vehicle in drive and starts moving forward. Thanks to her efforts, she was able to slowly pull Rhyhorn back up, "And there we go."

Jumping back out of her car, she installed the ropes from around Rhyhorn. The Pokémon quickly ran off.

"Wow, she's amazing…" Tracey gave her a star struck expression.

Misty rubbed her temples, "Please don't turn into another Brock." Dealing with the real one when it came to Officer Jenny and Nurse Joy was bad enough.

Officer Jenny approached them, "I really appreciate you kids letting me know about what happened. That was a close call." She said.

"It was nothing, we were just glad you came when you did." Tracey said.

"Of course, protecting and helping the Pokémon here is my job after all." Officer Jenny said.

Ash looks at Pikachu and almost has a heart attack, "Pikachu's turning pink!" He exclaimed out in worry.

Pikachu had a half eaten berry in his hands and tilted his head at his partner's worried expression. Pikachu's tail and cheeks had turned pink—hence why Ash was worried.

Officer Jenny found their reactions humorous, "Don't worry, that's just the Pinkan Berries. They turn any Pokémon that eats them pink. And if a Pokémon eats them a lot, they remain permanently pink."

Ash breathed a sigh of relief, "That explains Rhyhorn and probably any other Pokémon that's here. Speaking of which, Officer Jenny, would you mind telling us more about this Island?"

"Of course, we can all go to my headquarters." Officer Jenny offered to give them all a ride there, too.

Who's That Pokémon?

It's…Kabuto!

"Kabuto!"

She brought them to her office and proceeded to explain that Pinkan Island is actually a reserve and that she won't be pressing any charges against them since they didn't know.

Ash called Professor Oak and told him where they were and confirmed what Officer Jenny told them, "[Many poachers have tried going to the Island in hopes of catching one of the pink pokemon and selling them on the black market. It's a good thing Officer Jenny is there to scare them away.]"

This just made them respect her more.

But the comfortable atmosphere didn't last long, however as the alarm suddenly went off and they were all in her jeep to see if some poachers got on the Island.

Unfortunately it was much worse—it was Team Rocket.

"Prepare for—" Jessie didn't get the chance to finish their motto as the pink Nidoking that was chasing them, promptly sent them flying away.

"Thank you, Nidoking." Ash thanked the angered Pokemon.

But once Team Rocket was no longer a problem, "Nidoking then turned its attention over to them.

"Uh-oh." Tomo said.

"You kids stay back!" Officer Jenny said, getting her rope out.

Nidoking got ready to charge at them before it was slammed into by the same pink Rhyhorn from earlier.

"Hey, it's Rhyhorn!" Molly said.

"Did it come to help us?" Ritchie wondered.

"I…think so." Serena didn't fully trust it, but was grateful for the Pokémon's help.

With another tackle attack, Rhyhorn sent Nidoking flying away from them and stood its ground. Nidoking stood up before walking away, having calmed down thanks to Rhyhorn.

Officer Jenny was surprised by this, "That's never happened before, but I'm glad Rhyhorn was able to calm Nidoking down."

Rhyhorn looked back over to the group and approached them slowly, but towards Serena!

Serena's whole body tensed up as the Pokémon got closer, "Wh—What do I do?!" She froze in place.

"Just hold still, Serena. Don't move." Ash tells her, eyeing Rhyhorn just in case it decides to attack.

To their surprise, Rhyhorn didn't attack Serena at all, and instead nuzzled against her. Shocked by this sudden development, Serena slowly reached her hand out and began petting Rhyhorn.

Officer Jenny smiled, "I guess this means Rhyhorn really likes you, Serena. You can keep this Pokémon if you want." She offered.

"Is that okay?" Serena's eyes widened by the offer.

"I don't see why not. If Rhyhorn wants to go with you then it's okay with me." Officer Jenny said.

Serena ended up catching Rhyhorn, and while she was doing that Tracey was interviewing Officer Jenny about how brave and incredible she is, much to her embarrassment.

"At least he's not trying to become the new Brock." Misty sighed, tired from today's events.

Ash chucked, "Trust me Misty, there will never be anyone who can be like Brock."

Pikachu was nodding his head.

And so, after their interesting experience in Pinkan Island—our heroes are now off on their journey once more.

Stay tuned, as the journey continues.
