Chapter 2: A Reunion and Another Invasion
Donald Duck can only take a nice view of Duckburg as he returns from his long sailing trip with his girlfriend Daisy along with their two new adopted daughters May and June.
Daisy: Hey sweetie! How's it going?
She asked him as she stood next to him.
Donald: Not that much! I'm just glad to be home again.
He told her.
Daisy: Yeah I feel the same way. Thanks again for this entire trip again.
She told him.
Donald: You are so welcome. Anything for my sweet girlfriend of mine.
He told her to make Daisy giggle a bit.
Daisy: You always find a way to make me laugh whenever I'm around you and your wonderful voice.
She said as Donald bluffed.
Donald: And your wonderful responses about me make me feel more great about myself.
He said as he continued.
Donald: So how has your experience been with the girls so far?
He asked her.
Daisy: Well it was a great experience for me even though it did start off very slow for me but as time did go on I did start to bond with them a lot more. I think they are starting to like me.
Donald: Well I'm really glad to hear that you and the girls are starting to get along a lot better since they both needed this trip as well to get a great experience of what our whole world is like and for them to be more part of the family.
Daisy: Yeah! Definitely!
She said as she took a deep breath.
Daisy: Donald, can I ask you something?
She asked him.
Donald: Sure!
Daisy: Well since we have been seeing each other for a while I was wondering if you are ok of use moving into our own place one day to raise the girls and possibly our own kids together?
She asked, making Donald a little nervous.
Donald: Well I mean I have been thinking about that but I don't really know how I can tell everyone about it especially my sister because you know how she can react to this type of news.
Daisy: Because she wants to make up for her past mistakes to her family?
She asked him.
Donald: Well yeah but you have to understand how much has happened in my life and with my family before I ended up meeting you. My family is still trying to fix all of the mistakes that have had a bad effect on all of us through this past decade and I just don't want them to be upset at me because they need my help to fix everything.
He told her feeling down.
Daisy: Look I'm not going to try to rush your decision. Just try to take your time to think about it. I think maybe when your family problems are fixed I think they can accept your decision.
She said as she placed a hand on her shoulder.
Daisy: Just take your time to think about it so you don't need to stress about it.
Donald: Well that does make me feel much better then.
He said before Daisy continued.
Daisy: Another thing I want to ask is that I still feel like I have something to prove to you and your family but I'm not too sure if I could handle it or not.
Donald: How come?
He asked her.
Daisy: We'll never before in my life have I ever met someone that has a family that is just very unusual and is just completely bizarre. Your family goes on adventures around the world all the time but most of your families adventures involve a life and death situation. I'm just not really sure if I can ever be ready to handle those types of situations if you guys ever do pull me on one of those types of adventures.
She said feeling completely down on herself as Donald moved close to her so he can give her some comfort.
Donald: Look Daisy there were also times where I worried about my family as well and thought that we all got into a situation that is impossible to figure out but no matter what happens we all managed to get through these dangerous situations as a family and make it out alive in the very end.
He said, trying to cheer her up.
Daisy: Well yeah I get that but I really do get worried about you Donald. After hearing about the fact that you almost got blinked out of existence there were times during this trip where I got so worried about you and how many more dangerous adventures are you and your family going to survive.
She said as she took a moment to catch her breath and continued.
Daisy: I'm worried because I love you and I just don't really know what my life would be like without you.
She said as she was about to burst in tears as Donald tried his best to comfort her.
Donald: I'm really sorry that you feel this way Daisy. I didn't mean to make you worried about me. I think once we get back my family would be going one adventures again and drag me along with them but when that time comes I promise you that we would all make it out alive and I would have you wrapped around my arms when we do get back.
He told her as he had her face to face with him.
Donald: Everything is going to be ok between the both of us Daisy.
He said as they took a moment to hug each other making Daisy feel better.
Daisy: Thanks for the talk Donald it did make me feel much better.
Donald: I know it did.
Daisy: Now we should go see how the girls are doing.
She said as she walked back into the boat.
Donald: Yep! Sounds good to me.
He said as he followed Daisy inside.
At the docks not too far away Launchpad drove Scrooge, Della, Webby, the triplets, and Penumbra to greet Donald's return.
Launchpad: Alright everyone we have arrived at the docks.
He announced as he parked the car and allowed everyone to get out.
Della: Thanks for deciding to come along with us Penny.
Penumbra: Well I didn't really have too much going on right now but I'm glad to be with you and your family to greet your brother back along with meeting his girlfriend.
Della: Oh! You didn't get to meet Daisy yet?
She asked her.
Penumbra: No not really.
Della: Well you do have the opportunity now then.
Penumbra: I guess so.
Louie: I can't wait to see Uncle Donald again. It felt like years since we last saw him.
Huey: As well as to tell us stories about their experiences in the different countries they have managed to visit.
Webby: As well as seeing my sisters again.
She said in excitement.
Scrooge: Easy lads Donald is not here just yet where just a tad bit early then he is.
He said as the group continued to walk docks.
Dewey: Hey LP! Can I tell you something?
Launchpad: Sure what is it Dewey?
He asked him.
Dewey: Can I tell you in private.
He asked as he and Launchpad were hiding behind a large cargo box.
Launchpad: So what did you want to talk to me about Dewey?
He asked.
Dewey: Look I didn't really tell anyone about this yet but I have something crazy to show you.
Launchpad: Really what is it?
He asked with his eyes wide open.
Dewey: This!
He said as he took out his space weapon and activated it.
Launchpad: Whoa! Cool Dewey! What is it?
He asked in amazement.
Dewey: I'm not really sure what it is but I did find it out of the sky just last night.
Launchpad: Wow! So you're telling me that you discovered a weapon from outer space!
Dewey: Heck yes I did LP! I think this weapon is 100% legit!
Launchpad: Does anyone else know?
He asked him.
Dewey: Only Webby since she found a space weapon similar to mine.
Launchpad: That is so cool! You are both so lucky to discover items that came from space.
Dewey: Just promise me you don't tell anyone about this!
He said in warning.
Launchpad: Of course! Anything for my best friend!
He said as Dewey placed the weapon away.
Dewey: Thanks LP! You really are the best.
He said as he hugged him but then someone grunting nearby. When they both turned to see Huey and Louie nearby.
Launchpad: Oh hey Dewey's brothers!
Dewey: Guy's! Hey! What's up!
He said in concern.
Dewey: How long have you two been listening?
He asked.
Huey: Long enough until we heard everything.
Dewey: Look guys I can explain!
He said, waving his hands in concern.
Louie: You discovered a weapon from outer space. Do you realize the possible dangers that can come here!
Huey: Not only that but Webby also has one too! Do both of you have any type of knowledge of how those types of space weapons can work?
He asked, crossing his arms.
Dewey: Well no but I...!
Before he can finish Louie interrupted him.
Louie: Then you should have it at all! We should sell it to someone that has knowledge so we can get paid so much...
Huey: Louie!
He said, interrupting Louie's sentence.
Louie: Oh! Right! Sorry about that.
Dewey: Look I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys about this but if Uncle Scrooge, Mom, Uncle Donald or anyone finds out about these space weapons I might never have mine again! This space weapon is the coolest thing I've ever found.
Launchpad: Yeah! Do it for Dewey!
Louie: That shouldn't be difficult.
Huey: For me it will! I suck at keeping secrets and you all know that!
He said getting a bit stressed about the situation.
Scrooge: Lads come quick!
Scrooge said, getting their attention.
Louie: Let's talk about this later.
He said as Louie, Dewey, and Launchpad went back to the main docks.
Huey: Wait guys! Come back!
He said to no avail, making him feel anxious.
Huey: Uhhhh! Why do I always end up in these situations!
He said to himself in frustration.
As the four of them walked to the main dock they saw Donald's house boat making a stop as He, Daisy, May, and June made their exit off the boat.
HD and L: Uncle Donald!
The three triplets said in excitement as they tackled their uncle to the ground.
Donald: Hahahahaha! Ohhhh! Boys I missed the three of you so much!
Dewey: We missed you too Uncle Donald!
Louie: We're so happy that you're back!
Huey: Did you have fun and enjoyed yourself this time?
He asked Donald as the three let Donald go to allow him to get back on his feet.
M and J: Webby!
Webby: May! June!
She said as she hugged her cloned sisters.
Webby: How was your girls tour around the world?
She asked as she let her sisters go.
May: Ohhh Webby! The trip was amazing!
June: I never knew that the whole world can be this huge.
Webby: Well I'm glad that both of you had a really great time.
When Donald got back to his feet he was met face to face with his sister Della as she hugged him with tears in her eyes.
Della: Ohhhh Donnie I really missed you so much!
She told him.
Donald: Awwww! I'm really glad to see the greatest sister ever again!
As he hugged her back for a moment and let go.
Della: So how was it?
She asked him.
Donald: It was great! Me, Daisy, and the girls had a wonderful time. There were times where I wished you were here as well. I'm still sorry that I didn't tell you sooner.
Della: Nahhh! I got over it and I also understand that you two wanted to spend more time with each other with the girls too.
Donald: Yeah! Can't wait to tell all of you about the trip.
He said as Daisy joined in.
Daisy: Hey Della! It's great to see you again.
Della: Great to see ya too, Daisy! Heard you guys had a great time.
Daisy: Yep, we did! Sorry again about the fact that we tried to keep it a secret from you.
Della: Just like what I just told my brother here I got completely over it.
She said as Penumbra joined in.
Penumbra: Your Daisy right?
She asked her.
Daisy: Yes I am.
Della: Oh, Daisy this is my best friend and roomie Penumbra! We met while I was stuck on the moon.
Daisy: Well it's great to meet you Penumbra.
She said as she and Penumbra shook hands.
Penumbra: It's great to finally meet you too Daisy. You can call me Penny for short.
Donald then ran into Scrooge with a smile on his face.
Scrooge: Donald Duck.
Donald: Uncle Scrooge.
He said as the two hugged.
Scrooge: Glad to see that you and the ladies made it back here safely.
Donald: Glad to see that not much has changed here when we left.
Scrooge: Indeed not much has changed around here Nephew. The trip was great?
He asked.
Donald: Yep! We all had a wonderful time.
He said as Launchpad joined in.
Launchpad: Great to see that you came back Mr D.
Donald: Great to see you too.
Scrooge: Launchpad can you give Donald and the ladies help with their bags and get the car started?
He asked.
Launchpad: No problem! I'm on it Mr Mc D!
He said as he started to get the packages out of the boat.
Donald: So where's Mrs B and Duckworth?
He asked.
Scrooge: They are both back at the mansion making a welcoming back feast.
Donald: Well I kind of am getting hungry.
He said holding his stomach.
Scrooge: Well then let's head back to the mansion then.
He said as the family made their way to the limo. While they did they did not notice a giant ship coming near the planet's atmosphere.
When the group got back to the mansion they were greeted by both Beakley and Duckworth.
Beakley: Welcome home Donald and Daisy! Glad to see both of you again.
Donald: Same with you Mrs B. and same with you Duckworth.
Duckworth: With great pleasure.
Beakley: You guys came back just in time because everything is ready.
Louie: Well that's great because I'm hungry.
Webby: You should tell us more about your guys trip!
May: That's a great idea because we have so much more to talk about.
Donald: We can talk about it at the table.
He said as the gang went to the main dining table to eat but as Scrooge did Duckworth stopped him to tell him something.
Duckworth: Sir I want you to know that I'm going to leave on another one of my long overdue vacations. Is there anything else you want me to do?
He asked.
Scrooge: Nah! I think we're good.
Duckworth: Why thank you sir.
He said as the ghost butler left.
Scrooge then made his way to the main dining room to join the rest of the group but before he could make his way to the dining room his phone started ringing.
Scrooge: Hello!
He said before recognizing the voice.
Scrooge: Ahhh! Dr Gearloose what's going on?
He asked.
Gyro, who is Scrooge's top scientist at the bin, is making a call from the bin's lab calling Scrooge with a terrified expression on his face.
Gyro: Hi Mr Mcduck can you turn on the tv or look out the window for a moment?
He asked terrified.
Scrooge: Why?
He asked, confused.
Gyro: I think a big alien spaceship is near our atmosphere and much smaller ships are entering it! I think we are about to be invaded again.
Scrooge: You're being a bit too daft right now Gyro. I think...
But before Scrooge can finish he hears a loud noise outside causing the entire house to shake and him dropping to the ground.
Scrooge: What in the blazes was that!
He said as he got back to his feet and picked up the phone.
Gyro: I don't know Mr Mcduck but I need to call you back! I think they are at the lab.
He said as he hung Scrooge up.
Scrooge: Wait Gyro!
He said as he tried to call Gyro but it was too late.
He said as he got back to his feet and picked up the phone. He then went to look out a near window and is completely terrified at what he sees as multiple ships and machines along with soldiers in strange black and white are invading the entire city and are making their way to the manor.
Scrooge: Curse me kilts! We have to get out of here!
He said as he rushed to the dining room to warn everyone.
When he entered the dining room he noticed everyone was getting up from the ground as well and gave him concerned looks.
Dewey: Uncle Scrooge what's going on?
Louie: Is an earthquake happening?
Webby: Are our enemies attacking us again?
They asked him.
Scrooge: No lads it's something worse!
Huey: What could be worse?
He asked.
Scrooge: I don't know but we need to go now! To the limo!
He said as they made their way to the main door.
Donald: This was not how I thought our return would go.
He said in dismay.
Daisy: I'm mad as well but we need to focus on getting out of here.
She told him.
Scrooge: When we get in the limo get ready to drive as fast as you can LP!
Launchpad: You got it Mr Mc D.
The gang then exited the mansion and headed straight for the limo but as they did a shot from out of nowhere occured shot the limo causing it to burst in flames and when it did they only stare in complete shock. Then they noticed small black and blue ships heading in their direction and started to shoot at them.
Scrooge: Incoming!
He said as he and the rest of the gang ducked for cover.
Penumbra: We need a plan, quick!
May: I'm really scared right now!
June: I feel the same way.
She said as the cloned sisters hugged each other.
Donald: We need a plan now Uncle Scrooge!
Scrooge: I'm trying to think of one lad!
Beakley: Well can you hurry because more support is closing in!
She said as more small and large machines close in to the mansion.
Launchpad: What about we take the cloud slayer?
He asked.
Della: We can't, it's still under repairs.
Louie: So much for that i
She said as more small and large machines close in to the mansion.
They then noticed carrier ships dropping off more soldiers wearing black and white armor in the mansion area.
Penumbra: I got it! We can try to take my ship!
She said coming up with an idea.
Della: Are you sure Penny? Does it even work?
Penumbra: I think I just finished fixing it the other day.
Donald: Are you sure that is a great idea Penny?
He asked in concern.
Penumbra: Well what other choice do we even have!
Scrooge: I think the lassie has a clear point.
Beakley: Well we need to hurry because it looks like they are dropping off more troops.
Daisy: Well what are we waiting for then lets go!
She said as the group slowly made their way past the troopers.
Huey: Wait!
He said as the group stopped.
Della: What is honey?
She asked him.
Huey: We can't just leave our friends and allies here like this! They need us!
Webby: Hueys got a point. Without us our allies aren't capable of dealing with this situation by themselves.
Scrooge: Look Webby darling, I'm not a fan of this idea as well but once we get out of this situation I promise we can think of a plan of helping our closest allies. Our allies are tough so I think they would be fine when we have our plan in place.
Webby: I guess you do have a point about that dad.
Scrooge: I know I do.
The troopers in the area then spotted the area where the whole gang was hiding.
Trooper 1: Over there! Freeze!
He said as his fellow troopers raised their blasters at the gang.
Scrooge: Run lads!
He said as the gain started running causing the troops to shoot their blasters at them.
Penumbra: The rocket should not be far from where we are just follow me!
Dewey: Well, take the lead then Penny!
He said as they started to follow Penumbra to her rocket as they entered an area with multiple trees as the troopers followed them.
Louie: They're following us! They're following us!
Beakley: Just keep moving! Hopefully we can lose them further in this area!
As the group kept running one of Daisy's heels broke causing her to fall to the ground.
Donald: Daisy!
May and June: Daisy no!
They said as they quickly rushed to her.
Donald: Girls keep running! I got her.
He said as the girls quickly agreed and ran to stay with the group.
Donald: Are you alright?
He asked as he helped his girlfriend.
Daisy: I'm fine I can't really run while wearing these heels!
She said as she quickly took her heels off.
When she did, Donald noticed some troopers closing in on them. In a moment of panic he strongly grabbed Daisy's right hand and ran away before she had a chance at grabbing her heels.
Daisy: Donald!
Donald: Sorry Daisy, those wired armored soldiers were closing in. I promise I will buy you some new heels when we get out of this mess.
He said as they caught up with the rest of the group.
Huey: Are we almost there?
He asked.
Penumbra: No but once we get out of this tree area hopefully it can give us time to reach the gurage before they can gain in on us.
Launchpad: You're talking about over there?
He asked, pointing to a clear area.
Scrooge: That should be it, Launchpad! Let's go!
He said as the whole group came out of the tree area, a whole pack of troops along with their large and small machines, and ships were waiting for them pointing their weapons.
Della: Oh no!
Dewey: You can't be serious!
Scrooge: Move back inside! Hurry lads before they...!
But before he finished more troops came from behind blocking any other escape route they could think of.
Captain: Don't make this difficult!
Donald: Awww phooey!
He said as he and the rest of the group understood the message and got on their knees with their hands behind the back of their heads.
Scrooge was the last one to do so.
Scrooge: How wonderful!
He said sarcastically as he got on his knees.
Captain: I report we have some prisoners ready for pick up! Over!
The captain said, talking to his communication device on his right wrist as the troops put cuffs on Scrooge and the rest of his family. The troops then forced them off the ground and pointed their blasters at them to make sure that they remained in place until their ship arrived. Another ship then dropped down near them and once the doors opened it revealed a familiar green skinned alien wearing some type of captain's uniform. Most of the Duck family can only stare in complete shock at Lunaris's return.
Penumbra: No! Not this! Anything but this!
Della: That can't be possible!
Dewey: I thought he was dead by now.
Daisy: Who is he?
She asked in confusion.
Donald: Remember when I told you about the moon invasion and how I accidentally switched my sister's place. That's the maniac who led the invasion.
Daisy: That's him! Then why are these guys helping him?
She asked while staying close to her boyfriend.
Donald: I'm not really sure.
He told her as Lunaris approached the Duck family.
Lunaris: Greetings Duck family! It's great to see all again along with some new faces.
Scrooge: Lunaris! I should have known that you had a hand in this!
Huey: How could you still be alive!
Webby: We all thought you were stuck orbiting the earth as the new moon with no way to escape!
Lunaris: You are correct, I was stuck as the earth's new moon for a long while until I managed to make some new friends.
Louie: By calling another army to invade us!
Lunaris: Oh not just any army! The Galactic Empire, the current imperial rulers of most of the galaxy!
Beakley: Most of the galaxy?
Lunaris: Yes indeed. Most of the galaxy within this universe and soon your planet will meet the same fate.
Penumbra: This barely makes any sense at all!
She said as Lunaris put his attention on her.
Lunaris: Well look who we also have here. My formally trusted Lieutenant Penumbra! It's also a great pleasure to see you with the Duck family as well.
Penumbra: Yeah I'm so pleased to see that you're still alive!
She said to him sarcastically.
Della: She has a point you no good treacherous maniac! How can you manage to lead a whole army this quickly!
Lunaris: I don't Della.
Scrooge: Then who is it?
He asked as another ship landed to reveal an all black armored figure with a black mask and cape.
Lunaris: My new master and ally Lord Vader.
He said as the Duck family grew a lot more afraid of the situation.
Lunaris: Ahhh! My lord, it's great to see your presence here.
Vader: The situation is under control now?
Lunaris: Yes we did sir. We also have some prisoners in our possession.
He said as Vader took notice of the prisoners as the adults did their best to put the kids behind them.
Vader: Care to explain why a whole family is captured?
He asked.
Lunaris: Their are not just any family my lord, they are the ones who have ruined me and my reputation in the first place.
Vader: This entire group here?
He asked again.
Lunaris: Yes my lord you have no idea how unnormal they mostly are.
Vader: Very well then. Well take them as prisoners.
He said as he started to go back to his ship but as he did Vader then felt a strange sense in him.
Lunaris: Is their a problem my lord?
He asked.
Vader: I feel a strong connection of the force near by.
He said as he approached the Duck family again.
Vader: It's right here!
Donald: What is he talking about?
He said scared.
Della: I'm not sure bro but I'm scared.
Donald: Me too.
He said in agreement.
Vader then took a look at every single member of the group to see if they have a strong connection with the force and for the most part was unsuccessful until he took a look at Dewey and Webby who are hugging each other in fright.
Vader: That's impossible! How do you two have a strong connection with the force?
He asked them in confusion.
Dewey: Connection with the force?
Webby: What does that mean?
They asked confused as well with the situation.
Vader: Take these two aboard my ship! Their coming along with me!
Trooper: Yes lord Vader.
Dewey: Wait what!
Webby: What's happening!
They said as the troopers took both Dewey and Webby to Vader's ship.
Della: Hey! Where are you taking my son you dark bucket freak!
Scrooge: And where are you taking my daughter!
Vader: Take these prisoners on your ship.
He said pointing at a pilot trooper.
Pilot: Yes sir.
Trooper: Alright prisoners lets mover it!
He said as the troopers force the rest of the gain to a near by prison ship.
Lunaris: Wait my lord why the two children they don't have much value!
Vader: Don't question my judgements!
Lunaris: Yes lord Vader.
Donald: No let those two go!
Della: Let my son go!
Scrooge: Leave my daughter and my young nephew out of this!
Louie: Leave my brother alone! Take me instead.
Huey: Their just kids!
Dewey: Mom! Uncle Donald! Uncle Scrooge! Help!
Webby: Dad! Granny! No!
The duck family can only helplessly watch as Dewey and Webby are taken away with Vader and Lunaris while they are taken else where as prisoners when they went on borad both ships took off into the space atmosphere.
Unbeknownst to anyone Gyro who managed to escape the lab is near by and all he can do is watch in extreme worry and fear as both ships took off into space.
Gyro: Oh no! This is not good! I have to warn the others.
He said as he quietly moves away before any troopers near by took notice of him.
