Ch 13: Infiltrating the Death Star.
Back in space the Falcon had just come out of hyperspace, but as it did a strange surreal light show surrounded the ship.
Inside the Cockpit Han and Chewie are seen taking their seats.
Han: Stand by Cheweie, here we go. Cut in the sunlight engines.
Han instructed Chewie as Han managed to pull back the control lever.
Outside the ship Asteroids seem to come out of nowhere and aimed directly at the Falcon causing the ship to shake and shudder violently.
Han: What the? Aw, we've come out of hyperspace into a meteor shower. Some kind of asteroid collision. It's not on any of the charts.
Han said as he tries to do what he possibly can to fly around the asteroids.
Chewie is then seen flipping off several controls to alert the passengers.
Luke along with Scrooge, Della, and Donald then make their way into the Cockpit to check on the current situation.
Luke: What's going on?
Scrooge: What in the blazes was all of the constant shaking about?
They both asked as they took notice of what was outside of the ship.
Donald: Seriously you have taken us in the middle of an asteroid field!
Della: Han, I thought you said we have just managed to reach Alderaan!
Han: Look Lady, our position is correct, except.. no Alderaan!
Della: We can tell that we don't see Alderaan, Solo!
Scrooge: That can't be possible!
Luke: What do you mean? Where is it?
He asked Han curiously.
Han: That's what I'm trying to tell you, kid. It ain't there. It's been totally blown away.
Luke: What? How?
He also asked but with much more concern.
Donald: How can you prove that?
He also asks as Ben then makes his way into the Cockpit.
Ben: Destroyed... by the Empire!
Ben said as everyone in the Cockpit takes notice of Ben's presence.
Della: Wait, the Empire was here! You have got to be shooting me!
Scrooge: You're telling us that the blasted snowmen are the ones that did this!
Donald: That's impossible!
Han: Yeah, the entire starfleet couldn't destroy the whole planet. It'd take a thousand ships with more firepower than I've...
Han said as he was interrupted by a signal that started flashing on the control panel and a muffled alarm that started humming.
Della: What's the situation now?
She asked.
Han: There's another ship coming in.
Luke: Maybe they know what happend.
Ben: It's an Imperial fighter.
He said which concerned everyone in the Cockpit.
A huge explosion then bursts outside the Cockpit window, which causes the ship to shake violently again.
The group then noticed that a small tie fighter had flown right past them.
Luke: It followed us!
Donald: It looks like we are in big trouble again.
Ben: No. It's a short range fighter.
Han: There aren't any bases around here. Where did it come from?
He asked curiously.
Scrooge: Well I think there's one way to find out. We should follow it.
Della: What! Are you crazy Uncle Scrooge!
Scrooge: Well sorry Lass, you have a better idea in mind?
He asked her.
Luke: It sure is leaving in a big hurry. If they identify us, we're in big trouble.
Han: Not if I can help it. Chewie... jam its transmissions.
He instructed as Chewie went and did just that.
Ben: It'd be as well to let it go. It's too far out of range.
Han: Not for long...
Han said as he continued to follow the tie fighter.
As Han continues to follow the tie fighter the group then noticed the ship was flying towards what appeared tp=o be a star up ahead.
Ben: A fighter that size couldn't get this deep into space on its own.
Luke: It must have gotten lost, been part of a convoy or something.
Scrooge: Well I can't be too sure about that young lad.
Della: Yeah, something doesn't appear right around here.
Donald: Shouldn't we do something before that ship calls for backup or something.
He asked, showing a little concern.
Han: Han: Well, he ain't going to be around long enough to tell anyone about us.
Han said as he was about to shoot the tie fighter but before he did the smaller ship started to fly more closely on what appeared to the crew as a small looking moon.
Luke: Look at him. He's headed for that small moon.
Donald: You sure that it's a small moon?
He asked.
Luke: Well it looks like one to me.
Han: I think I can get him before he gets there... he's almost in range.
Han said while focusing on his aiming.
However as the ship got more closer it is revealed that it was no moon but instead it was a massively big space station much to the crews horror.
Scrooge: Curse me kilts! What the hell is that!
Ben: That's no moon! It's a space station.
Donald: Aw phooey, we're doomed!
Han: It's too big to be a space station.
Luke: I have a very bad feeling about this.
Della: I knew it! I knew something appeared to be wrong!
Scrooge: Could you and your furry looking copilot do something!
He said to Han in an alert.
Han: I'm working on something right now you old duck man!
Han said as he tried to to move away from the space station's entrance but with no success.
Luke: Why are we still moving towards it?
He asked.
Han: We're caught in a tractor beam! It's pulling us in!
Della: Well this is just great we are all going to be captured yet again.
Luke: But there's gotta be something you can do!
Han: There's nothing I can do about it, kid. I'm in full power. I'm going to have to shut down. But they're not going to get me without a fight!
Han said as he Chewie turned off the ship's power.
Ben then places a hand on Han's shoulder.
Ben: You can't win. But there are alternatives to fighting.
Donald: Well we also need to do something quickly because our family, friends, and the droids have no idea what's going on.
Han: Ok I think I have an idea.
Della: Ok what's your idea at a time like this Solo.
Han: All of you follow me to the passenger's room and I will give you all a quick explanation.
Han said as the crew left the Cockpit.
The Falcon would eventually be dragged to the Death Star's docking bay as a large number of ranked officers and stormtroopers surround the ship as it makes a clean and perfect landing on its docks.
Officer To your stations! Come with me!
The Officer said to a fellow as all the stormtroopers quickly ran to their posts towards the Falcon.
Officer: Close all outboard shields! Close all outboard shields!
The Officer said as all the shields are closed down.
Inside the Conference room, Tarkin notices the intercom button was buzzing and he quickly went to answer it.
Tarkin: Yes?
He asked before listening to a response.
I.C Voice: Sir, we've captured a freighter entering the remains of the Alderaan system. Its markings match those of a ship that b;asted its way out of Mos Eisley.
The voice on the intercom was saying before Vader slowly approached Tarkin.
Vader: They must be trying to return the stolen plans to the princess. She may yet be of some use to us.
Vader said as he left the conference room.
Not long after Vader along with another commander approaches the troops as an Officer and several high armed troops approach them before the voice from the intercom spoke again.
I.C Voice: Unlock one-five-seven and nine. Release charges.
Officer: There's no one on board, sir. According to the log, the crew abandoned the ship right after takeoff. It must be a decoy, sir. Several of the escape pods have been jettisoned.
The officer told Vader.
Vader: Did you find any droids?
He asked the Officer.
Officer: No, sir. If there were any on board, they must also have jettisoned.
Vader: Send a scanning crew on board. I want every part of this ship checked.
Officer: Yes sir.
Vader: I sense something... a presence I haven't felt since...
He said to himself before he quickly exits the hangar.
Officer: Get me a scanning crew in here on the double. I want every part of this ship checked!
He ordered as a scanning crew quickly started to check through the whole ship for the next thirty minutes before managing to exit the ship when they still could not find anything that was living around the whole ship. Not long after the scanning crew left the Falcon, Four panels popped open.
One panel had Han, Chewie, and Luke inside. The second had Ben, 3PO, and R2. The third had Donald, Daisy, Della, Huey, Louie, May, and June. The last one had Scrooge, Penumbra, Launchpad, Beakley, and Duckworth.
Huey: Are they gone now?
He asked nervously.
Della: It looks like they are for now, dear.
Scrooge: I think we need to be a little quiet because who knows how many of them are still near the ship.
Louie: That really was a close one to be honest.
Daisy: I was scared that we were gonna get captured again.
May: Same with me.
June: Yeah, if we did get caught again then it probably would be over for all of us.
Donald: What matters most is we are all safe for now.
Luke: Boy, it's lucky you had these compartments.
Han: I use them for smuggling. I never thought I'd be smuggling myself in them. This is ridiculous. Even if I could take off, I'd never get past the tractor beam.
Louie: Which is why we need a plan to find where they are controlling it so we could turn it off and get out.
Penumbra: But how are we going to do that? Especially with how much security these guys have.
Ben: Leave that to me!
Han: Damn fool! I knew that you were going to say that!
Ben: Who's the more foolish... the fool or the fool who follows him?
Ben asks as Han shakes him before muttering something to himself and Chewie howls to him in agreement.
Outside the Falcon the crewmen carry a heavy box on board the ship past the two stormtroopers guarding both sides of the ramp.
Trooper: The ship's all yours. If the scanners pick up anything, report it immediately. All right, let's go.
A Trooper said as the crewmen entered the ship and quickly heard a loud noise not too far away.
Han: Hey down there, could you give me a hand with this?
He asked from a distance which caught the crew's attention as they slowly approached Han's direction before Han managed to quickly shoot the crew dead.
Han: Ok everyone, the coast is clear.
He said as everyone came out of hiding.
Han: Ok Kid, seems like this trooper is your size. So you switch with him while I switch with this one.
Luke: Ok, got it.
He said as the two of them took a moment to change in the troopers uniforms.
Louie: So since they will disguise themselves as troopers is it a good idea that we should be in a disguise as well just in case these guys recognize us.
Della: I think that sounds like a good idea Louie.
Daisy: So who should switch with who then?
She asked.
Before Han and Luke came out wearing the troopers uniforms.
Donald: We that was fast.
Luke: Yes it was, I never thought that putting the empire's armour on was this easy.
Han: So I heard that you guys were thinking of wearing disguises as well it seems like.
Penumbra: Yes because maybe these guys have us on the records at this point.
Beakley: Do you have any solutions for us Solo?
She asked him.
Han: Well yes I do because I have actually had many forms of attires that Chewie and I have collected from different worlds.
Han said as he led the group to another room in the ship which showed different types of attire that Han had managed to collect.
Launchpad: Whoa, this is so cool.
Louie: I'm feeling so jealous right now.
Della: So how were you able to get this many attire Solo?
She asked him.
Han: By trading for them obviously. Now all of you pick an attire and get changed into it because we don't have all day.
He said as the entire Mcduck group did just that.
Han: And I don't want any of them ruined.
Luke: What about you Ben, should you get a disguise?
Luke asked as Ben just put up his hoodie.
Ben: This is my disguise Luke.
Luke: Ok then.
3PO: But what about me and R2?
He asked in concern.
Ben: I think that you two droids would be just fine.
He told them feeling very calm.
A short time later a Gantry Officer who was in the command office notices that the guards were not in their position next to the ships entrance and quickly speaks to the comlink.
Gantry Officer: TX four one two. Why aren't you at your post? TX four one two, do you copy?
He asks as a stormtrooper comes down the ramp of the Falcon and waves to the officer and points to where his ear is to let the officer know his communication device is not working which annoys the Officer as he starts to approach the exit.
Gantry Officer: Take over. We've got a bad transmitter. I'll see what we can do.
The officer said to his aide as he opened the exit door only to be met face to face with Chewie which surprised the officer as he fell backwards.
Chewie then howled loudly and before the officer had a chance to pull out his weapon Chewie managed to knock him out with one blow.
The aide then notices the current situation and tries to pull out his pistol but before he has a chance to take a shot Han in disguise as a trooper quickly shoots the aide down.
After he did that, everyone else quickly came inside the room before shutting the door.
Luke then quickly took off his helmet.
Luke: You know, between his howling and your blasting everything in sight, it's a wonder the whole station doesn't know we're here.
Han: Bring them on! I prefer a straight fight to all this sneaking around.
Scrooge: Well then that would make everything much worse.
Della: Yeah, especially when we are wearing these ridiculous outfits that really itch by the way.
She said as her outfit she was wearing was causing her to itch a lot.
Duckworth: At least we got by without arousing suspicion.
Beakley: Now we need to know how we can shut down their shields without being caught.
3PO: We found the computer outlet, sir.
He said as everyone approached the outlet system.
Ben then sits on the computer chair and notices R2 was making some whistle noises. When Ben turned towards the small droid he noticed that R2 was right next to some sort of key hole to the wall and he immediately knew what the droid was talking about.
Ben: Plug in.
He told R2 as the droid did just that.
Huey: So what is it doing right now Ben?
He asked.
Ben: He should be able to interpret the entire Imperial computer network.
Huey: That seems to be very impressive.
When R2 reaches through the keyhole it takes a moment for the droid to work with the keyhole before managing to set up the Empire's entire network system.
Scrooge: Now that is outstanding.
Daisy: So what's it doing now?
She also asked.
Ben: Feeding as much information as it possibly can.
Louie: Hopefully it's information that is very useful for us to get the hell out of here.
Just then R2 started to beep and whistle again.
Della: What is it saying now?
She asked.
3PO: He says he's found the main computer to power the tractor beam that's holding the ship here. He'll try to make the precise location appear on the monitor.
The computer monitor then manages to flash its readouts to the crew.
3PO: The tractor beam is coupled to the main reactor in seven locations. A power loss at one of the terminals will allow the ship to leave.
Penumbra: Now the question is how are you going to turn one of these beams off?
She asked.
Beakley: Without creating any major attention.
The crew then start to talk it out a bit except for Ben who took a moment to look and memorize the routes to the tractor beams before getting up.
Ben: I don't think you boys and ladies can help. I must go along.
He said as it surprised the whole crew except for Han.
Han: Whatever you say. I've done more than I bargained for on this trip already.
Donald: What! Are you a crazy old man?
Scrooge: Have you gone daft?
They asked.
Della: That's completely suicide.
Huey: How do you expect to turn one of them off without getting caught?
Luke: I want to go with you.
Ben: Be patient Luke. As well as the rest of you. Stay and watch over the droids.
Luke: But he can...
Luke said before Ben interrupted him.
Ben: They must be delivered safely or other star systems will suffer the same fate as Alderaan. As well as your star system Mcduck family. Your Guy's destiny lies along a different path than mine. The Force will be with you always.
Ben said as he opened the office door and shut it after he made his exit leaving everyone else shocked and speechless for a moment.
Donald: He's going to be ok isn't he?
Louie: I really hope he will be Uncle Donald.
May: It would suck if he was not able to make it.
June: Especially with how he has no help with him.
Beakley: Let's just keep our fingers crossed.
Duckworth: And hope for the best.
Chewie then muttered something to Han.
Han: Boy you said it, Chewie.
He said as he turned his attention to everyone.
Han: Where did you guys dig up that old fossil?
He asked them.
Della: Obviously when we were all stuck on Tatooine.
Launchpad: He's also not just an old fossil Mr H.
Luke: Yeah, Ben is a great man.
Han: Yeah, great at getting us into trouble.
Scrooge: Ben actually saved our lives.
Han: Really, how?
He asked.
Donald: When we were almost beaten to death by those weird looking sand guys.
Luke: I didn't hear you give any ideas...
He said before Han interrupted Luke.
Han: Well, anything would be better than just hanging around waiting for him to pick us up...
He said as Luke interrupted Han back.
Luke: Who do you think...
Luke said as he was interrupted by R2 making whistles and beeps excitedly.
Luke: What is it?
He asked the droid.
3PO: I'm afraid I'm not quite sure, sir. He says " I found her" and keeps responding "she's here."
Luke: Well, who.. who has he found?
He asked as R2 whistled frantically.
3PO: Princess Leia.
3PO said which surprised everyone except for Han and Chewie who looked very confused.
Luke: The princess? She's here?
He asked the droids in disbelief.
Just then the Mcducks had an idea of their own.
Scrooge: Well if the princess is here could you see if the droid can also find my daughter Webby?
Della: Along with my second oldest son Dewey?
They both asked the droids.
3PO: Well just give R2 a moment.
3PO said as R2 took a moment to check if Dewey and Webby where also imprisoned as well before responding to them with whistles and beeps.
3PO: Well it seems like R2 has just confirmed that your daughter and son are both imprisoned here as well.
He said which gave excitement and relief to the entire Mcduck clan.
Della: Oh thank goodness they're here as well.
Scrooge: Oh feel so relieved now. All we have to do is find the lads along with the princess as well.
Huey: Our brother is alive. That's great.
Louie: I was worried that we would never see him and Webby again.
June: Our sister is here!
May: I can't wait to see her again.
Donald: Let's just hope they can hang in there for a little longer.
Beakley: If they touch Dewey and Webbigail before us then those white armoured freaks will pay.
Han: Princess? Daughter? Son? What's going on?
He asked, feeling very confused.
Della: Where are they located?
She asked.
3PO: Level five. Detention block A A-twenty- three, four, and five. I'm afraid they are all scheduled to be terminated.
3PO said, which horrified Luke along with the rest of the gang.
Della: They're planning to kill my baby!
Scrooge: As well as my daughter.
Luke: Oh no! We've got to do something!
Han: What are you talking about?
He asked as everyone turned at Han giving him an angry stare.
Luke: The droid belongs to her. She's the one in the message. And those two kids are there as well. We've got to help them.
Han: Now look, don't get any funny ideas. The old man wants us to wait right here.
Luke: But he didn't know they were here. Look, will you just find a way back into the detention block?
He asked Han.
Han: I'm not going anywhere.
Penumbra: You know what you and your hairy friend are both unbelievable.
Della: Yeah, that's just fine then Solo we don't need your help.
Donald: Yeah you're pretty much just saying that you don't mind children's lives being at risk.
Luke: Yeah, They're going to execute all three of them. Look, a few minutes ago you said you didn't want to just wait here to be captured. Now all you want to do is stay.
Daisy: Seems like he does want to stay and do nothing.
Huey: Some type of hero you are, not!
Launchpad: Darkwing Duck never stood around and did nothing. He was always in action.
Della: Do you really need to bring that up LP?
She asked him, feeling annoyed.
Launchpad: No, but I did anyway.
Han: Marching into the detention area is not what I had in mind.
Luke: But they're going to kill all three of them.
Han: Better them than me..
Della: Luke lets just go and save them ourselves. This is not worth it.
Scrooge: Della is right, time is money on saving my daughter, my great nephew, as well as the princess and we are wasting it.
The Mcduck gang were just about to walk out the exit until Luke had an idea.
Luke: She's rich.
He told Han and Chewie which surprised them both.
Chewei growled at Luke in response.
Han: Rich?
He asked Luke.
Luke: Yes, and even better Scrooge here is rich as well. He is known as the richest Duck on his planet.
He said as the Mcduck crew can only gasp in surprise.
Scrooge: What in the blazes are you doing Lad?
He asked, feeling angry with how Luke bought that fact up.
Han: Really?
He asked.
Donald: Uhhhh Luke, what are you doing?
He asked, feeling a little worried.
Luke: Yes, they are very rich, powerful! Listen if you and Chewie both help rescue the princess along with the kids, the reward would be..
Luke said as Han interrupted.
Han: What?
He asked in demand.
Luke: Well more wealth that you can imagine.
Han: I don't know, I can imagine quite a bit.
Luke: You'll get it.
Han: I better!
He demanded Luke.
Luke: You will...
He promised to Han.
Han: All right, kid. But you'd better be right about this.
Han told Luke before he then took a moment to look at Chewie who gave him a grunt response before turning his attention back to Luke.
Luke: All right.
Han: What's your plan?
He asked.
Luke: Uh.. 3PO, hand me those binders there will you?
He asked the droid before approaching Chewie and the Mcduck gang.
Luke: Ok. Now, I'm going to put these on you guys.
Louie: Do we really have to put these on?
He asked.
Donald: We have to Louie so then it can look like we are prisoners.
Huey: Yeah, Uncle Donald has a point so then they wont wonder why they are random people wandering around the whole station.
Chewie then growled in fear as Han approached him as Luke handed Han some binders..
Han: Don't worry, Chewie. I think I know what he has in mind.
Han said as he put the cuffs on Chewie.
Not long after the entire Mcduck group also had cuffs on as well.
3PO: Master Luke, sir! Pardon me for asking but ah what should R2 and I do if we're discovered here?
He asked.
Luke: Lock the door!
He told the droids.
Han: And hope they don't have blasters.
3PO: That isn't reassuring.
Duckworth: I will also stay with them as well.
Beakley: You sure that's a great idea?
She asked the ghost Butler.
Duckworth: I think so and if any troopers do come I will easily scare them away.
Scrooge: Well just be careful.
Duckworth: I will Mr Mcduck.
Luke and Han then took a moment to put their helmets back on and before they were about to walk out Della and Scrooge got close to Luke.
Della: I really hope you know what you are doing Luke.
She said to him in a whisper voice.
Luke: Trust me I know.
He wispered back.
Scrooge: I'm also not giving a large amount of that money to that jerk pilot either.
He also wispered.
Luke: Look do you want your son and daughter back?
He asked them while still wispering before continuing.
Luke: Look I'm not a big fan of him either but we need all the help we can possibly get especially saving the princess, your children, keeping the droids safe and escaping this station.
He told them before Han approached Luke.
Han: Ok Kid, you ready?
He asked.
Luke: Yes I'm ready.
Han: Then lets go because I have a big prize awaiting me.
He said as the group walked out the exit Leaving 3PO, R2, and Duckworth inside the Command Office as they put their plan to save the Princess, Dewey, and Webby in motion.
