Chapter 14: Reuniting with Webby and Dewey.
As the group left the command office, they headed to the nearby elevators and waited for the next upcoming lift to come to their floor.
As the group waited, plenty of troops, bureaucrats, and robots walked by without noticing any type of suspicion. While Luke, Han, and Chewie did their best to remain calm and wait patiently the Duck family on the other hand were shaking and sweating nervously fearing that their cover was somehow going to get exposed. However, to their relief the elevator managed to open, and they quickly walked in before anyone else did.
Luke: I can't see a thing in this helmet.
He complained.
Donald: Well at least be thankful that your identity is fully covered.
Scrooge: I really wished that these blasted doors would close quickly.
Scrooge said as he noticed that the elevator doors were closing very slow.
The doors were about to close completely before a bureaucrat member placed his foot at the door to keep it open which caused the Duck family to panic again but thankfully Han managed to single him away and the doors managed to close before anyone else managed to come in. When the doors closed Han pushed an elevator number to the floor of the station's detention area.
It didn't take long for their elevator lift to stop on the floor of the old grey security station. When the group exited the elevator, they all could not help but feel shocked and concerned to see the heavy amounts of Guards and laser gates are seen in place.
Han: This is not going to work.
Han whispered to Luke.
Luke: Why didn't you say so before?
He asked Han.
Han: I did say so before!
Huey: Were gonna die! All of us are gonna die!
He said feeling even more stressed and nervous.
Della: Just stay behind us Huey. All of us are going to be fine hopefully.
Beakley: Well, this isn't the first time I had to deal with this type of situation.
Scrooge: It's best if we all stay put, Bentina. We can't risk having the children killed.
The group then slowly makes their way to the station's detention area which didn't take them too long to reach. When the group managed to reach the detention center the doors opened to reveal a tall and grim officer noticing their presence.
Officer: That is quite a handful of prisoners you both are occupying. Where are you taking these .. things?
He asks as he notices the appearances of the Duck family in their disguises and Chewie.
Luke: Prisoner transfers from Block one-one-three-eight and counting.
Officer: I wasn't notified. I'll have to clear it.
The officer told them as he went to the nearby console to start punching in the information Luke had given him.
When the group slowly entered the detention area they all noticed that there were only three other troopers inside the detention area. They also took notes on alarms, laser gates, cameras, and any other security defenses that are inside.
Without any of the troopers looking, Han quickly unfastened Chewie's cuffs and shrugs to Luke letting him know to be ready.
Chewie then quickly throws up his hands, grabs Hans rifle, and howls loudly which got the troopers attention.
Han: Look out! He's loose!
Luke: He's going to pull us all apart.
Han: Go get him!
They shouted at the four troopers in the area before Luke and Han pulled up their pistols and aimed aimlessly at Chewie but their shots were actually aiming in the directions of the security cameras, laser gates, and the guards as well before any of them had a chance to pull on the alarm system.
Han then makes his way to the comlink system along with the computer readout while Luke manages to uncuff the entire Duck family.
Della: Well that was very impressive shooting.
Penumbra: Yeah, your shots were on point.
Louie: Yeah you guys both managed to aim directly at the guards and their security.
Luke: Thanks, it just took a little practice to aim that perfectly at your target.
Scrooge: Glad to have these blasted cuffs off of us now. You and Solo put the cuffs on too tight.
Daisy: Yeah the cuffs gave me marks on my wrists.
Luke: Well Han and I didn't mean to put the cuffs on that tightly.
Della: Well I doubt that Han is sorry about that.
Huey: So what's the plan now? Because we don't have much time before the bodies are discovered.
Beakley: Huey is right we don't have that long before we are discovered.
May: Well we should go looking for the princess, Dewey, and Webby as well.
June: Same here I can't believe that they are both here in this station.
May: I also feel that way sis.
Just then Han managed to return back to the group.
Han: We've got to find out which cell this princess of yours and your kids is in. Here it is cell twenty one eight seven, twenty one eight eight, and twenty one eight nine. You go get them. I'll hold them here.
Han said as he gave the group the prison numbers.
Beakley: I will stay put and give some back up.
Penumbra: Same here.
Han: Well ok then. Chewie and I might as well need back up.
Luke: I will go get the princess.
Scrooge: Sounds good. Me, May, and June will go to Webby's cell.
Donald: The rest of us will go into Dewey's cell.
Launchpad: How do we know who is in which cell?
He asked.
Luke: Their names should be on the car number.
Luke said as he gave Webbys cell number to Scrooge. While giving Dewey's number to Della.
Della: Well I guess we are good now?
She asked.
Luke: Yes we should but we need to move fast because we don't have that much time. Let's go!
Luke said as he started to run to the cell numbers while the Duck family followed suit.
It didn't take long for the group to find the correct cell numbers.
Luke: Ok the princess should be locked in this cell cell twenty one eight seven. Your daughter should be in cell twenty one eight eight, and your son should be in twenty one eight nine.
Luke told Della and Scrooge.
When Scrooge tried to open Webby's cell he was having a hard time opening it. Della on the other hand had the same issue.
Scrooge: I can't get this stupid blasted door open.
Della: Yeah, it's going to take a while to try and gain access to these doors.
Luke: Don't worry, let me help you guys.
Luke said as he used his laser pistol to gain quick access to Webby's and Dewey's while doing the same to the princess's cell.
Scrooge then quickly ran into Webby's cell with May and June following him. As they entered her cell Webby was woken up in surprise and quickly hid under her bed in fear but when she managed to see who was entering her cell she easily bursted into tears when she noticed that it was her dad and sisters that entered her cell.
When Webby got up she slowly approached her father and her sisters.
Webby: Dad? May? June? Is it really you guys?
She asked as she could not help but feel incredibly emotional.
Scrooge: Yes Webbigail darling, it's us.
She said as she hugged all three of them.
Webby: I missed you guys so much! I thought I would never be able to see you all again.
May: We feel the same way.
June: We're just glad that you and Dewey are still ok.
Scrooge: What matters is that you and Dewey are finally safe with use again.
They all then stopped hugging each other and when they did Webby was shocked to see the type of injuries that they have endured.
Webby: What happened to you all? You guys look completely different.
Scrooge: It's a long story but we can explain everything once we escape this dreaded station.
He said which Webby quickly agreed to before they left the cell.
Inside Deweys cell Della, Donald, Daisy, Huey, and Louie entered to notice that Dewey was hiding under the covers.
Dewey: No! Please no! You cold blooded murders leave me alone! Leave me alone please! I'm too young to die!
He said in fear.
Donald: Dewey calm down, it's just us!
Donald said as Dewey quickly recognized his voice.
Dewey: Wait! Uncle Donald is that you?
He asked in disbelief.
Donald: It's me Dewey but I'm not the only one.
He said as Dewey pulled off the bed covers and noticed Uncle Donald, aunt Daisy, his mom, and his two brothers staring at him with tears in their eyes. Dewey then started to have tears in his eyes as well before he ran to his family for a big group hug.
Dewey: Oh my gosh! I really missed you all so much.
Huey: We all feel the same way.
Louie: Yeah, we were all really worried that we would never see you and Webby ever again.
Della: We are so happy and rejoiced to see our dear Turbo again.
They all then released from their group hug.
Dewey: So where is everyone else?
He asked.
Daisy: Your Uncle Scrooge is also here as well and we also got a little assistance from some willing travelers as well.
Dewey: You mean that you guys have managed to meet other people or something?
He asked.
Della: Well to put it short we have been through a lot but we could explain everything later.
Donald: What matters is we got out of here now.
Dewey: That sounds like a great idea.
He said as he followed everyone out of the cell to meet back with everyone else including Luke who managed to free Princess Leia.
Luke: Oh you guys are just in time, I just managed to release the princess.
Della: We did the same with our kids.
Leia took a moment to take a look at the entire Family.
Leia: I'm guessing that these are your family members that you told me about Dewey and Webby?
She asked them,.
Webby: You correct Miss princess. This is my dad along with my sisters.
Dewey: While this is my mother, my uncle, my aunt, and brothers.
They both said introducing their family to the princess.
Leia: Well it is really great to finally have the chance to meet you all and I would love to know more about all of you but after we have the chance to escape this station.
Luke: She's right we should meet back up with Han and find an escape route.
He said as the group quickly ran back to the front of the detention center.
As the group returned, they noticed that there was a large number of really loud noises coming from the other side of the entrance with Han, Chewie, Penumbra, and Beakley aiming their blasters.
Han: Chewie!
He said, getting his attention.
Chewie growled in response before Han continued.
Han: Get behind me! Get behind me!
He yelled as the doors exploded.
Scrooge: Kids! Get back! Now!
He told the kids as they quickly went for cover.
Several imperial troopers are now seen entering the room with Han, Chewie, Beakley, and Penumbra firing at the troopers as they enter.
As they fired they quickly moved back to join the rest of the group.
Han: Can't get out that way.
He told the whole group while panting a bit.
Leia: Looks like you managed to cut off our only escape route.
She said feeling a little angry at Han.
Han: Maybe you'd like it back in your cell, Your Highness.
He told her sarcastically.
Della: Right no is not the best time to get into arguments. We need to work together to find another way out of here.
She said in an attempt to prevent a possible argument from happening between Leia and Han.
The whole then quickly dived for cover as the troopers started to close in a bit and kept firing their blasters.
Luke then has an idea as he manages to get his small comlink transmitter from his belt while also trying to fire at the incoming troopers.
Luke: C 3PO! C 3PO!
He said on the comlink hoping 3PO would respond.
3PO: Yes sir?
He asked Luke in response.
Luke: We've been cut off! Are there any other ways out of the cell bay?
He asked 3PO but didn't understand what the droid was saying because of the constant shooting noises before continuing.
Luke: What was that? I didn't copy!
He said as he still had a hard time listening to 3PO.
Back in the command office 3PO is seen pacing back and forth while R2 was whistling with Duckworth next to the small droid.
Duckworth: Are you sure that the entrance is the only exit? There needs to be another exit somewhere.
Duckworth asked 3PO.
3PO: Yes I believe that I'm completely sure of that ghostman I know I have checked each surrounding.
Duckworth: I don't think you are looking hard enough.
He told 3PO as he started to speak back on the comlink.
3PO: I said, all systems have been alerted to your presence, sir. The main entrance seems to be the only way in or out: all other information on your level is restricted.
3PO told Luke on the comlink.
Just then the two droids along with the ghost butler heard loud banging on the room's entrance.
Trooper: Open up in there!
3PO: Oh, no!
The large droid said in panic.
Duckworth: You and your little droid friend hide. I got this!
3PO: Are you sure?
The droid asked.
Duckworth: Yes, I'm sure. Now go hurry and hide!
He said as the two droids did just that.
Back in the detention center Luke, Han, Chewie, Leia, along with the whole duck family and their friends are still taking cover from the massive fire from the on coming troopers.
Beakley: They just keep on coming at us.
Della: They are coming at us fast. Is there any other way out of this place?
She asked.
Louie: There should be one but as long as none of us get shot doing so.
Donald: Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's another way. Right Luke.
Donald asked him.
Luke: There isn't any other way out.
Luke said which worried everyone else.
Penumbra: Well that's wonderful.
She said sarcastically.
Scrooge: Things just keep getting better for all of us.
He also said sarcastically.
Huey: This is bad! This is really really bad!
He said feeling very stressed.
Han: We can't hold them off forever now what?
He asked.
Leia: This is some rescue. When you all came in here, didn't you all have a plan for getting out?
She asked everyone.
Launchpad: Well we are all trying the best we can right now your highness.
Leia: Well sorry that your guys best right now is not good enough.
Han then pointed at Luke and the Duck family.
Han: He's the brains while they are smarter than the smarties and tougher than the toughies. Sweetheart.
Luke: Well, we didn't..
Luke said, trying to defend the plan before he was caught by the princess grabbing Lukes gun and firing at a small grate next to Han who can only look in complete surprise.
Han: What the hell are you doing?
He asked the princess.
Leia: Somebody has to save our skins. Into the garbage chute, wise guy.
The princess said as she quickly jumped into the hole.
Soon Han and Chewie approached the chute and as they did Han noticed that Chewie was not a big fan of the smell.
Han: Get in there you big furry oaf! I don't care what you smell! Get in there and don't worry about it.
Han told Chewie as Han forced him to go into the chute despite Chewie's protest.
Han: Wonderful girl! Either I'm going to kill her or I'm beginning to like her.
Han said as he then put his attention to everyone else before continuing.
Han: Well are you all coming or not because we don't have all day.
Scrooge: The kids should go in first.
Louie: Do we have to go down there? I don't want to get covered in trash.
Donald: Unfortunately we don't have much of a choice.
Webby: But what about you guys? We can't just leave you all up here.
Scrooge: We will be ok and we promise it won't take long.
Della: Well have to hurry up because we can't hold these guys any longer.
Donald and Della then lead the kids to the chute with Webby, May, June, Webby, Dewey, Huey, and Louie all jumping inside.
Donald: All the kids are in. Now ladies first before everyone else.
He said as Daisy, Della, Penumbra, and Beakley jumped inside.
Scrooge: LP your next.
Launchpad: I'm on it Mr mcd.
Launchpad said as he jumped into the chute as well.
Scrooge: Now your turn, Nephew.
He told Donald as he got inside with Scrooge following suit.
Not long after Luke and Han jumped inside to make their escape from the detention center.
