Chapter 18: Reaching earth's hideout and reaching the Planet Yavin.
Back at earth, as the empire has pretty much taken over pretty much the entire planet as it was becoming dark. However, as they tried to search for the Mcduck's family and friends managed to escape the Empire's wrath thanks to help from an anonymous caller to help them get to a much safer route for further instructions.
In the woods Drake is seen with Goslyn and Mayor Zan who are currently approaching what looks like an abandoned cabin near a cliff.
Drake: Ok Ladies, it looks like this is the place.
He told the two ladies, but they aren't completely sure.
Goslyn: I don't know about this dad. Are you sure?
She asked him.
Zan: Yeah, I mean this place kind of looks quiet and seems like it has been abandoned for years.
Drake: It was what the tipster had informed me to go far into these woods and find the place where the empire would least suspect us and I think this is the least suspecting place that he was talking about.
Goslyn: I mean we came this far to avoid these invaders. I think it's best that we give this place a shot.
Zan: Well, I guess we will go for it then I guess. Since we are at a point of desperation.
Drake: Let's hurry then before they see us.
He said as the three of them quickly rushed up to the cabin and when they did the door was already open and they quickly rushed inside to shut the door.
Goslyn: So, what do we do next?
She asked.
Drake: Alright so the guy told me once we get inside, we find a secret lever that should open up a secret layer.
Zan: Well, we should start looking because anything in this house could be a lever. So, we should get started now.
She said as the three of them looked around the cabin and lifted various items that could possibly open up a secret door.
After a few minutes looking around, Goslyn was seen searching through the cabins bookshelf thinking that it had to be one of the books and after pulling on a few books she lifted a red large book causing the bookshelf to split open and reveal the secret passageway.
Goslyn: This must be it!
She said before she continued.
Goslyn: Hey guys I found it!
She shouted to Drake and Zan as they quickly rushed to her direction.
Zan: I'm assuming that this must be the entrance?
She asked.
Drake: Only one way to find out. We go in.
He said as the three of them entered the passageway before the door slid shut behind them.
Goslyn: Looks like there is no turning back now.
She said as the three of them walked further down the passageway.
After walking for a few minutes, they managed to reach a bunker locked door.
Drake: Looks like this is the entrance to the main room.
He said as he knocked on the door.
After he knocked, a laser was revealed to be on top of the wall which quickly scanned them before the vault door opened.
After the door opens Drake, Goslyn, and Zan can't help but feel relieved to see that it was not a trap done by the Empire.
On the other side of the door, it is revealed to be Lena, Violet, Boyd, Gyro, Fenton, and his mother who also feel relieved about their presence. The group then took a moment to hug one another.
Fenton: Darkwing, Goslyn, and Mayor Zan you guys managed to make it.
Drake: Well it's also great to see that you guys are all right as well.
Goslyn: Yeah it was completely insane chaos out there and it seemed like it was impossible that we could take a stand against them.
Zan: Well there was only so much we could do to fight back.
Mma: Si, we tried our best to fight back as well but there were just so many of them coming in every direction.
Gyro: How about we talk about all of this once we close this door.
He said which everyone agreed as they all entered the hidden panic room with the door closing shut behind them.
Boyd: So it seems like St Canard has been taken over as well?
He asked.
Goslyn: Yeah, it has been taken over completely and we have no idea how many citizens escaped or have been captured.
Gyro: Well to put it shortly these invaders have pretty much taken over the entire planet at this point and it seems like their take over is successful unlike the previous invasion.
Drake: So how long have you guys been under here?
He asked.
Fenton: Well I think maybe about two days I'm thinking.
Violet: Or maybe a little longer.
Lena: Have you guys heard anything about Webby and the others?
She asked.
Goslyn: No we didn't. Guess they're not here either?
She asked.
Gandra: No their not unfortunately but their two cousins are though. Along with Mr Mcduck's immortal parents and his sister.
Drake: Well I'm worried that something bad happened to them.
Violet: Well let's not give up just yet I know that they have been in situations like this before but this one seems to be even far more dangerous but still.
Goslyn: Yeah, hopefully you're right.
Lena: Let's go meet up with the others. They are probably curious to see who has just entered this hideout.
Violet: Everyone is currently asleep right now Lena.
Lena: Oh right I forgot.
Zan: Others?
She asked.
Fenton: Yeah they are other earthlings who also escaped the attack and they are some new and old faces you guys might recognize. We were gonna go to sleep as well until we noticed that someone was coming inside.
Zan: Well can't wait to see who else managed to escape from all of this chaos.
Gyro: However everyone is currently asleep right now and it seems that you three should get some rest as well since it's gonna be another long day tomorrow.
He said as the group entered the main room of the underground base to meet the other known earthlings that had managed to escape the empire before the doors closed behind them.
Back in space the Falcon is still traveling in space flying further and further away from the Empire's death star. Inside the death star Scrooge, Donald, and Della ran into Luke who was exiting the ship's gunpoint cockpit.
Luke: Oh, hey guys I was just about to see if you guys were ok after those Tie fighters tried to shoot us down.
Scrooge: Well we are in fact ok lad. Thank you so much for asking.
Donald: Even though the ship felt like an earthquake was happening after a couple times giving us a couple bruises but we are ok.
Luke: Well I'm really sorry to hear that.
Della: But we have been through worse. So are we good now? Are we away from those snow people now?
She asked him.
Luke: Well it looks like we are in fact good. We scanned no enemy ships nearby. So yeah we are clear.
He said as he started to walk towards the pilots room and the three ducks decided to follow to see where their next possible destination would be.
As the four of them managed to reach the pilots room Leia is seen exiting the room feeling discussed before she spoke.
Leia: Your guy's friend is quite a mercenary. I wonder if he really cares about anything or anyone.
Luke: I care!
Donald: We also care as well.
Della: Yeah, and we don't really consider Han a friend princess.
The four then enter the pilots room as Leia walks away where Han and Chewie are sitting controlling the ship and then they both notice the group's presence.
Luke: So what do you think of her, Han?
He asked him.
Han: I'm trying not to, kid!
Han told Luke as Scrooge, Donald, and Della noticed Luke mumbling something under his breath before Han continued.
Han: Still, she's got a lot of spirit. I don't know, what do you guys think? Do you think a princess and a guy like me...
He said as the four interrupted him.
Luke: No!
Scrooge: Are you completely daft! Not a chance.
Della: Not in a million years will she ever fall for a rogue troubled pilot like you Han.
Donald: It is nowhere near close to how me and Daisy fell for each other.
They said as they all looked away from Han who could only laugh and smile at their response as he and Chewie continued to pilot the Falcon.
Not long after the Falcon is seen orbiting another nearby Planet that is known as Yavin and is coming close to one of its moons which is known as the fourth one.
As the ship entered the moon it soon soared over its dense jungle before being spotted by a nearby alert guard who scans the ship for a moment before letting it go as the ship comes close to an oncoming temple where the rebel base is located to make a clear landing.
After the Falcon made its landing, the group managed to make their exit and were greeted by a large number of people who were pleased to see Leia's safe return. Leia was then quickly greeted by the Rebel Commander Willard who hugged the princess feeling relieved.
Willard: You're safe! We had feared the worst.
He told the Princess as he quickly bowed in front of her before he continued.
Willard: When we heard about Alderaan, we were afraid that you were lost along with your father.
Leia: We don't have time for our sorrows, commander. The battle station has surely tracked us here.
Leia said as she took a moment to glare at Han before She continued.
Leia: It's the only explanation for the ease of our escape. You must use the information in this R2 unit to plan the attack. It is our last hope.
She told the Commander who noticed the Duck family who responded by waving awkwardly at him before he started.
Willard: I didn't know you also brought along some new friends as well and didn't expect that they would bring children here as well.
Leia: We could save the intros for later but right now we need to plan our attack.
Willard: Well without further ado then follow me and we will inform Dodonna about this.
He said they quickly followed the commander inside the base to prepare for a possible Empire attack.
