The first thing I woke up to was the pounding of my head. My whole body felt like it was on fire and it was really hard to move at this moment. I blinked my eyes to finally clear my vision to look around to see where I was at till everything that happened between me and Lori.
I was upside down, being held by my seatbelt and I looked under me to notice that there was a puddle of blood and I knew that it wasn't from a walker. I was starting to feel dizzy as I watched my own blood drip into the puddle. I noticed that I lost a lot of blood, and I knew that I needed to hurry and get out of this car and I looked around trying to find Lori. But when I didn't see her anywhere and I was starting to get scared, ' Oh god. Where is she? Is she okay? I need to get out and try to find her, now.' I thought as I started to struggle with the seatbelt.
" Lori! Where are you?!" I yelled as I looked around for her, while messing with the seatbelt. When I didn't hear a response, I started to freak out till the seatbelt finally unblocked and I fell down from my seat and I groaned in pain. As I was trying to catch my breath, I started to crawl out of the car painfully through the broken glass towards the busted window.
I finally got out of the car and I got up to my feet. Every bone in my body was screaming in pain, I leaned against the car and I noticed a dead body right next to me and it was a walker on the ground. I sighed in relief to knowing that Lori was alive and that she took out that walker, I looked around to see if there was any way I could find Lori anywhere.
" Lori?" I called out as I looked around till I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen, which caused me to hold in my scream.
I slide of to the ground and then I lifted up my shirt to see that my stitches were ripped open and it was bleeding again, ' Fuck, not again.' I thought as I placed my hand on my abdomen to stop the bleeding I turned a little bit and I grabbed my crossbow and I dragged it to me as I looked around trying to see if there was anything familiar to me. I didn't know how far I was from the farm, so I knew walking there was out of the question.
I stayed on the ground for a little while leaning against the car. My vision started to blur and I closed my eyes and I was hoping that Lori was safe and was also getting help for me as well.
' I know that Daryl didn't mean to hit me, he would never do that. It was my fault for getting him so angry with me. I started the fight. All he was trying to do was help me. I forgive you, Daryl no matter what.' I thought as I had a small smile on my face as I listened to the silence that was around me. But the silence was interrupted as a vehicle pulled up next to me and I opened my eyes to see the doors open and I saw three men coming out of the car and I knew that I didn't know these people.
" Look at what we got here boys. You hurt there little lady?" One of the men said as he got closer to me while the others stayed behind him.
" You alone?" The man that was close to me asked me as he knelt down in front of me and I noticed that he was getting closer to me. I never answered him and I tried to move away from him but my wound was making it hard for me to move away from him. He grabbed my face and forced me to look back at him as his other friends decided to come closer to him.
" She'll do nicely. Let's take her back to camp. The boys will have some fun with this one once we fix her up." One of the men said behind the one that was in front of me and I could tell that he was smiling and I didn't like the smile that I was seeing.
" Fuck you." I said as I ripped my face away from the grip of the man in front of me and then I looked towards him and spat in his face, which made him move away from me a little bit and whip the spit off his face. Then he turned back to me and then he slapped me in the face, which made me hit the ground really hard.
" You better watch what you do or it will be worse for you than a slap." The man said as he glared at me while I was glaring back at him.
" I'm not going anywhere with you. He will find me and when he does, your fucked." I said as I just laid on the ground glaring at him.
" Who is this he that you're talking about, little lady? Cause from what I see, he's not here to save you." The man said as he picked me off the ground and started to drag me to the car as I tried to fight to escape from them.
" The he she's talking about it to me." A voice that I wanted to hear made me stop fighting them and I looked up to see Daryl standing there pointing his crossbow at them. I smiled as I saw him.
' He came for me. He really came.' I thought as one of the men let go of my arm and walked towards Daryl.
" What are you going to do man? She's going to be coming with us and there is nothing you can do about it." The man said as he pulled out his gun and pointed it towards Daryl. Then out of nowhere I heard growls from behind us and I turned my head to see walkers coming out of the woods and slowly coming towards us. I looked back over at Daryl as his eyes as he still had his crossbow pointed at the guy who had his gun pointing at him.
" Well looky there, we have company. Now redneck, here's what we are going to do. You can walk away and get back on your back and let us take this girl or I can just kill you and still take the girl and leave you for walker food. What's your choice?" The man asked Daryl as I looked back at the walkers that were coming closer to us. But then a plane started to form in my head and I knew that I needed to act on it.
" Daryl." Was all I said as he looked back at me and as he looked in my eyes, I was hoping that he knew what I was thinking cause all I did after was nodded my head to him and that was when he nodded his head back to me.
I stepped on the man feet and then I headbutted him for him to go down to the ground and that was when the other man who pointed the gun at Daryl to turn to me and that was when Daryl dropped his crossbow and landed on top of the man and started to beat the living shit out of the man as the man tried to fight back but failed.
I looked over to notice that the other man was getting eaten by the walkers. I forgot about the one that I headbutted. That's when I turned back and I got hit square in the face and I fell to the ground as the man ran away and left me on the ground.
I shook my head to clear my vision but once I did I felt something wet underneath me and I looked down and I noticed that I was losing blood faster than normal, ' Shit!' I thought as I placed my hand on my abdomen to stop it from bleeding, but it was bleeding through my hand. I looked over at Daryl as he was still beating that man to death and then I looked over at the walkers and I started to feel fear inside me again, " Daryl! The walkers!" I yelled at him, which made him stop what he was doing to look up to see the walkers were within a few feet from us.
Daryl grabbed the man that was on the ground and he tossed him into the herd. My eyes stayed on the man as he was screaming in pain as the walkers started to fest on his flesh. My vision started to blur again and it was thanks to how much blood I was losing. That was when I felt a hand touch my shoulder and I looked up at him to notice that not only did Daryl have his crossbow but he also had mine as well, which I completely forgotten about.
" Can you stand, Sam?" Daryl asked if he was looking at me and then back at the walkers.
" Yeah." I said as Daryl took my arm and helped me up to my feet till I hissed in pain. I leaned over and placed my hand back on my abdomen and I was starting to feel a lot weaker than I was before.
" Daryl, you need to go. Just leave me, I'm only going to slow you down." I I whispered to him as my eyes started to lower even more.
" Hell no. Not happenin." Daryl said as he looked over his shoulder as we were running back to his bike to see the walkers following them. But when he looked at me and that when he noticed that something was wrong with me and that was when he noticed the blood from my shirt.
" Shit." Daryl said as he scooped me up in his arms and started to run faster with me in his arms.
" Sam, I need to keep your eyes open for me. We are almost there on my bike, okay?" Daryl told me as he looked at me as my head was leaning on his shoulder.
" I'll try my best." I weakly said as I fought to keep my eyes open, but with how much blood I already lost, I was losing that fight. I looked up at Daryl as he was focused on getting us to his bike. My thoughts started to think that this was the last time I was going to see Daryl.
' Thank you for everything you have done for me. I love you Daryl, I always have and always will.' I thought as my mind started to go dark and I continued to look at Daryl as my vision went completely black.
Daryl's P.O.V
I was running to my bike as fast as I could, but then I felt Sam going limp in my arms which made me stop running and I looked over at her and her eyes were closed, " Sam?" I asked her but she never answered me.
" Sam!" I yelled as I shook her a little bit to see if she would open her eyes but she never did. I ran even quicker then I ever ran before and I finally made it to the bike and I got on it and I started to adjust Sam in my arms so I could check on her. I placed my fingers on the side of her neck trying to feel for a pulse, and I finally felt one but it was very faint, ' When I get my hands on Shane. He's going to be very sorry.' I thought as I looked at Sam.
I looked over at the spot that I noticed was bleeding and I lifted up her shirt to see that her stitches have ripped opened and even now, blood was coming out. I found my duerage and I placed it right on the area and I took off my belt and tightened it around to hopefully stop the bleeding. Once I was done I held her in my arms and just held her for a while and then I adjusted Sam in my arms in front of me and I placed her head on the crook of my neck and her body across my lap.
I started the bike and I kicked up the stand up and the bike roared to life and I took off down the road then any bike should go. I held onto Sam tightly so she would slip off, " You're not going to die on me, Sam. I'm not letting you die. I promise." I said I was focused on getting her back to the farm.
