Harry had just finished 2nd yr and his plans for the summer changed when he finds himself alone near Whitchuch. A friendly visit with Katie ends with large changes in both their lives. The newly form bond and their changes leads to changes in the lives of friends and allies. Who are their real friends? Only the Pack will know.

5. Chapter 5

A/N: Chapter 5 of the Lycans and a new start. I have read several werewolf stories and came across a handful of Lycan stories. Two Lycan stories and one challenge lead to this story. Inspired by stories: Rise of Lycans from Whitetigerwolf and Kaleb-yamato, and the challenge from timbarney110, challenge not followed. The story starts near the end of CoC 2nd year. The story is focused around the relationship of Harry and Katie. Even with the addition of other witches to the pack and inner circle this is about them as the Alpha's of the new species. The pack must grow to survive. But that cannot happen in a world of biggotry and predjudice nor with the threat of a maglomanic seeking domination.

I only play in the sandbox created by JKR. All known characters belong to her.

Ch5

Last chapter: They all watch as Harry staggers back over towards Ginny and hear Tom monologue about the power of basilisk venom and insults to Lily Potter. Then everyone watches as Harry grabs a hold of the fang and pulls it out of his arm and plunges it into the diary several times and watches as the Tom Riddle shade withers in pain and explode in light. Seeing Harry dying Fawkes flies down and cries tears into the basilisk wound. Director Ragnok was speechless several time, during the viewing, Rockclaw along with him at seeing the size of the beast that Lord Potter faced and defeated. Both Goblins were quiet as they looked a the young lord sitting before them. Young he may be, but a child he was not, he was a warrior unskilled but a warrior no less.

'King Ragnok will want to see this memory, after he has been informed of Lord Potters fight. As no telling of the story can describe the size of the beast,' thought Ragnok. 'If this young Lord continues to follow after his mother in her ways of dealing with The People, he will earn great respect and this fight will earn him even more amongst us.'

"Lord Potter, I will talk with the High King about our services in harvesting this beast," stated Director Ragnok. "When would you be able to escort a harvesting team to the chamber?"

"Director Ragnok, I will need to write the Deputy Headmistress to arrange a time, as students normally are not allowed at Hogwarts during the summer," answered Harry. "Also I do not know which staff are currently present to allow us in."

"I understand you have another meeting in a few day, how about we discuss this more at that time?" inquired Director Ragnok.

"That will work for me, and I will have a prospective date to make the trip," replied Harry.

"I will not take up any more of your time and will let Manager Rockclaw and you to continue your business," stated Director Ragnok. "May I take this memory with me to talk with the King about the basilisk?" Harry nodded his agreement in allowing the Director to take the crystal with him. He bowed to Director Ragnok and exchange formal greetings as the Director left.

"Lord Potter are you ready to continue with the wills and titles?" asked Rockclaw.

"Yes, lets do the titles first and then read the wills," answered Harry. "I do have a question about this blood monitoring charm that is listed as working."

Rockclaw looked at the test results and saw the item of question, "The meddling Headmaster has a blood monitoring/tracking charm on you that will only alarm, there by alerting him, when you have died," answered Rockclaw.

"Is there any way to remove it or make it fail?" inquired Harry.

"The easiest way it to remove the sample of you blood from the device or steal the device," stated Rockclaw.

"Okay. I will need to think on this problem," replied Harry.

[Could the goddesses help?] questioned Katie

[Possible. We will need to ask,] replied Harry

Rockclaw pulled out two ornately carved wooden boxes, one bearing the Potter family crest and Peverell family crest on the other, and slid them across the desk in front of the young Lord. "All you need to do is take out the Lord's ring and place it on your finger, if the family magic accepts you it will resize to fit your hand," stated Rockclaw.

Harry opened the Potter box first and saw two rings, the larger being the Lord's ring. He picked up the ring looking at the crest and the setting of the ring. The crest consisted of a Griffon and Dragon facing each other with a sword between the two pointed down. The stone was a blood red Garnet almost black looking. He placed the ring on his middle finger of his right hand and felt a warmth wash over him as the magic in the ring appraised him for worthiness to bear the ring and title. Once the family magic was satisfied the ring adjusted its size to his hand. Harry just looked in awl at the ring and basked in the feeling as the family magic washed over him.

Harry then opened the second box and saw the two rings again and picked up the larger of the two and placed in on his right middle finger. The family crest was a golden triangle with a silver circle inside the triangle and an obsidian stick in the circle. All of this was on a dark blue/black stone. When Harry placed the ring on his finger he felt a surge of magic flow through and around him. He sensed a faint pull on his magic in three directions, like something was calling to him to collect them. Once the flow of magic was over the ring adjusted to his finger and then magic made the two rings merge into a single visible ring on his hand, bearing some of the images from both rings.

"Very good," responded Rockclaw, seeing that the family magic accepted Harry. "You should be able to make the rings invisible to everyone by focusing on hiding the ring." Harry focused on the ring to hide and it visible vanished from his hand, but he could still feel the ring. "The ring can be use to draw funds from the family vault when making purchase, just press the desired ring onto the invoice and the funds will be transferred." Harry nodded his under standing.

Harry then picked up the Lady Potter ring and walked over to Katie. "Katie will you accept the Lady ring of House Potter and the duties and responsibilities that it will include as my bonded?" asked Harry. Katie could not speak, she was so over whelmed with emotions that she could only nod her head to his question. Seeing her acceptance, Harry slide the ring onto her right hand and watched as the ring adjusted to her finger as the family magic flowed over her and welcomed her into the family. "Katie, the Lady ring is no substitute for an engagement and wedding ring. I will find those shortly and will place them were they belong on your hand at the appointed time." Katie pulled her bonded into the most loving hug she could and pushed all of the love and caring she felt for him into the hug. Elvina looked on at her daughter and son-in-law with tears in her eyes, at hearing how he carried for her dreams and felt the need to give her the proper rings in time.

Rockclaw cleared his throat to get the meeting back on tract. "Are we ready to read the Wills?" he asked. "I will read both wills today, but only your mothers will be read in its entirety at the public reading as she survived your father, no matter how short. I will only include pertinent sections of your father's will."

"Yes, I would like to know what my parents had planned," answered Harry, as he nodded to Rockclaw's comment.

Rockclaw broke the seal on James will and with a clear voice began to read the will:

This is the last Will and Testament of James Charlus Potter, written on 1 August 1981 supersedes all Wills dated before.

I, James Charlus Potter, of able body and mind, claim this, my Final Will and Testament.

If I am no longer of this Earth, and my wife, Lily Katarina Potter nee Evans, survives me, I leave the contents of this Will to her until my son, Harry James Potter, reaches his age of majority.

If Lily Katarina Potter is no longer of this Earth, at the time of this Reading, I leave these various items to the following:

To the Guardian of Harry, 10,000₲ for the care of our son.

To Amelia Bones, 5,000₲ for protective items needed as a hard charging Auror

To Marcus Delacour, my files on Voldemort supporters in other ICW countries.

To Minerva McGonagall, 3,000₲ for pushing me in battle transfiguration and supporting my stubbornness while at Hogwarts.

To Filius Flitwick, 3,000₲ for his guidance in charms and duelling.

When Harry reaches the age of thirteen, I officially name him Lord Potter, the Head of the Ancient and Noble House of Potter. He was also a quarter owner of the Lovegood owned newspaper, The Quibbler.

If you are reading this alone, then we are no longer part of this Earth and for this I am truly sorry. The time we are living in is dangerous and filled with danger, no one can tell who is an enemy and who is a friend. Even apart from you we still love you and will be watching out for you if we can. Because even in death our love cannot be taken from you. I hope that you have grown up in a family with love and caring. Your new family will tell you that they can never replace us, but if they love you the way we hope they would as being your guardians then our love will be shown to you. I anticipation that one day you will find someone special, someone to love, and who loves you just as much as I love your father. I hope that you will be able to cherish our love for you always, never doubt that. I will forever be proud of your accomplishments as long you are proud of them.

Any marriage contracts or betrothals written for Harry James Potter not signed by James Charlus Potter and myself or one of the listed guardians after our passing, are null and void, illegal and all parties involved shall be subjected to full extent of Goblin law.

If we are killed while in hiding, let it be known that our secret keeper is Peter Pettigrew, and not Sirius Black. A decision forced on us by Albus Dumbledore, I would have chosen Remus. I do not trust or have faith in Albus Dumbledore, and I do not believe that his goals for the 'Greater Good' are best for the Potter family. Something is wrong and I cannot identify it and it has gotten stronger every time we meet with Albus. James acts strangely after the meetings with Albus for several hours. The death of Charlus and Dorea have not been explained in sufficient detail to plaquette my fears of foul play by others than Voldemort and his Death-eaters.

Harry James Potter, will not be registered at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for his magical education, while Albus Dumbledore is the Headmaster or has any position there. The teaching at Hogwarts under his leadership is subpar at best and sits at the bottom of the list of the major schools.

Harry, do not trust or believe Albus Dumbledore on anything, question everything he says and be very careful of manipulation by him and others. He will never answer a question and will only give half-truths as answers. Never meet with him alone, always have a guardian or solicitor with you when meeting with him or better only meet with him at Gringotts. Being the last Potter and Heir of the family people will want to use you for their own gain or fortune. Many will try and trick you or take advantage of you to gain control of the Potter political seats and vaults.

I love you Harry, and I always will. I have faith we will see each other at one point or another, though I hope for you it is not for many, many years and after spoiling numerous grandchildren.

"Who is Sirius Black and why did I not stay with him after my parents were killed? Why was I not allowed to live with Mrs. Lovegood or any of the others?" asked Harry.

Elvina looked at Rockclaw and the two of them both had a sad look as to how they could explain where he was and what is believed to have happen the horrible night.

"Sirius Black is in Azkaban prison for the murder of your parents, 12 muggles and the murder of Peter Pettigrew," answered Rockclaw. "It was put out that he was the secret keeper and betrayed your parents location to Lord Voldemort."

"Manager Rockclaw, Sirius Black would be dead if the public rumour was correct and the wills wrong about the secret keeper," responded Elvina. "Harry, in the god-parent ritual the adult pledges to protect and raise the child as their own, on their life and magic. For him to betray your parents and you magic would have killed him."

"How is it then, my godfather is sitting in prison?" asked Harry. "Wouldn't this information be brought up in his trial?"

"Yes it should have. That is another item to brought up with Madam Bones when we talk with her," stated Rockclaw. "She will also be able to see how Dumbledore placed you with your relatives, as it is apparent the wills were not followed nor executed as required by law and treaty."

They discussed other concerns brought out in the wills and decided that a solicitor was needed to help with several actions and advice on legal matters.

"Manager Rockclaw could the actions of Dumbledore, in regard to Sirius Black, been done to take and keep control of Harry away form Sirius Black, as Dumbledore was a witness to Lord Potter's will, and possible an earlier will by Lady Potter?" inquired Katie, after reflecting on the two wills and the discuss that followed.

"Quit possible, again I think something to talk with Madam Bones about," answered Rockclaw.

"Manager Rockclaw, do you know of a list of reputable solicitors that I may contact or do you recommend any?" asked Harry.

"I think you would like to talk with Solicitors Tonks," responded Rockclaw. "He is muggle-born and she is a pure-blood and practices law in both worlds."

"Harry, that would be good for you to have," advised Elvina. "Solicitor Tonks would be able to advance the paperwork for your change in non-magical guardianship." Harry could see Katie's agreement with her mothers statement along with Rockclaw's approval.

"Manager Rockclaw can you arrange a meeting with Solicitors Tonks here at Gringotts on the same day we meet with Madam Bones?" inquired Harry.

"Yes, I can," replied Rockclaw. "Any other concerns on the wills currently?"

Harry looked at Elvina and Katie and received a no from each, "Not at this time, but I will once I have read through the wills again, work through what was in them, along with the inheritance test. Can an audit be performed on all of my accounts to see what has been removed and what funds have been taken and by who?"

"Wise decision," replied Rockclaw, as he made official copies of the wills for Harry to take and review. "I will start the audit as soon as you leave for today and will have the results at our next meeting. Now for the last bit of business I have for now."

Rockclaw laid out three pieces of parchments on his desk. "Here are three marriage contracts that now involve you Lord Potter."

"But, my parents will did not indicate that they had set up any contracts," exclaimed Harry.

"You are correct," answered Rockclaw, trying to calm the young Lord. "Only two of these contracts are valid. The last one is invalid for the reasons given in you mothers will, and by family magic. The two valid contracts are Alliance marriage contracts, for line continuation, that can be repeated in the future, if the need arises. They became applicable and active upon your formation of the soul-bond and marriage to Lady Potter."

"How did the soul-bond cause these contracts to become valid and what alliance?" questioned Harry. [We will need to ask the goddesses about this issue.]

[Most definitely.] answered Katie.

"The House of Potter belongs to two different alliances," stated Rockclaw. "One is called the Great Alliance, formed by your Great-Grandfather and Grandfather. After Charlus's death the alliance has been sidelined by other forces during the last war though now. The first and older alliance is the Potter Alliance established in 1500-1600's. It is this alliance that the marriage contracts belong to. The contracts were written to ensure the survival of the houses in the Alliance."

"So, how did my marriage activate them?" asked Harry.

"All three houses involved have only a single heir left in the line," replied Rockclaw. "As you are the only male between the three, the contracts were not valid as any marriage between you and the other two house could cause the loss of one of the houses. Since your soul-bond and marriage, you can marry the ladies of the two houses in Line continuations contracts as they are written. All children that you would have with them will bear the mothers last name and continue their houses, while Lady Potter will be the mother for all houses that you have."

"That was smart forward planning of the founding lords of the Alliance," stated Elvina. "To anticipate the possible loss of houses and to prepare a way to keep the Alliance together. Did the contracts only work this way?"

"No." responded Rockclaw. "If Harry were female and one of the other houses had the male heir and was married then the contract would work the same, to support House Potter."

"What do you mean that it is repeatable?" inquired Harry.

"As long as the houses of the Alliance remain together, the contracts can become active any time when one of the houses are threaten with extinction, and the conditions are met," answered Rockclaw.

"Who are the two houses involved," asked Katie.

"Lady Potter, the other two houses involved are House Bones and House Lovegood," answered Rockclaw, with a humerus toothy grin. Harry stopped and starred as his brain slowly started to process what was just said. Slowly Harry's brain came back online and allowed him to ask a question.

"So that's why you said when we meet with Madam Bones?" asked Harry.

"Yes. I saw the names on the contracts when they appeared on my desk at the time of your soul-bond notification and again when they were brought up today," answered Rockclaw.

"Who was involved in the invalidated marriage contract and when was it written?" asked Harry.

"The last contract was made between Dumbledore and Molly Weasley on 31May1993," replied Rockclaw.

"That was only two days after I had rescued Ginny, killed the basilisk and destroyed the diary," stated Harry in some confusion.

Katie was thinking back on what had happened during those few days and what she had learned on house traditions. Elvina was thinking back at what she had learned as a child growing up.

"A life debt," stated Elvina. "Harry, you most likely earned a life debt that night in the chamber."

"Yes, from seeing your memories of the events in the chamber Miss Weasley most certain acquired a life debt to you," responded Rockclaw. "Mrs. Weasley and Dumbledore, most likely understood that a life debt had been formed, after hearing what happened, and made the contract to full fill the requirements of repayment for the debt."

"But no one told me about the debt. Why?" stated Harry.

"Speculation only. By not telling you of the debt, you could not discover how it could be repaid," mentioned Elvina, getting a nod from Rockclaw. "If you knew about the debt, then you could have chosen a method of repayment that neither Mrs. Weasley or Dumbledore wanted."

"I would agree with that summation," stated Rockclaw.

"Last summer, Ginny could not look at me or say 'Hi' without blushing or becoming speechless, after the twins and Ron rescued me from my relatives and brought me to their home," commented Harry.

"Ginny most likely has a crush on 'The-Boy-Who-lived' and dreamed of marring him when older, and now her fantasy object was sitting in her house," added Elvina. "Mrs. Weasley most likely knew of this and made the contract with Dumbledore to ensure her daughter's dreams came true."

Harry nodded his understanding, but did not like how people in the magical world set him up as some special hero.

"Will three days from today be enough time to set up meetings with Solicitors Tonks and the two Houses?" inquired Harry, after reflecting all that he has just learned and still trying to fully process.

"Yes, that will be sufficient time to inform everyone of the date and time and allow adjustments," replied Rockclaw. "Now when would you like to have the public reading of the wills?"

"For the meetings how is 0900 on the 9th and the public reading on the 10th at 1200. This way we can inform Solicitor Tonks and Director Bones ahead of time to start processing all necessary items for their investigations," suggested Harry.

"Those are good times and I will send out the notices today and will only contact you if there is a need to change times. I will send you a port-key for both days so you your party can bypass the alley and lobby," agreed Rockclaw. "I suspect the Headmaster will be looking for you when he learns that all of the charms he placed on you are broken." Harry nodded to this assessment.

"Manager Rockclaw, I noticed that on both of the inheritance test it listed poor fit on both of their wands. Would you know of a wand shop for us to visit to see why their wands are now a poor fit. I do not think we will get a straight answer from Ollivander's and he will inform the Headmaster," inquired Elvina.

"Yes I do. Behind Florean Fortescue's as you turn into Knockturn Alley is Marcello wands and staff shop. She specialize in custom wands and all of our curse breakers get their wands from there," answered Rockclaw.

"Thank you. We will stop there and have their wands checked," replied Elvina.

"Any thing else for today?" asked Rockclaw.

Harry looked at Katie and Elvina and received negative indication so he bid farewell to His Account Manager. "Rockclaw, may your accounts never fail," stated Harry.

"Lord Potter, may your gold multiply and your adversaries wither away," replied Rockclaw.

Harry, Katie and Elvina departed from Rockclaw's office and left Gringotts for the Marcello's shop to investigate why the wands have changed. Elvina also insisted that they stop at Madam Malkin's for new robes for the up coming meetings for both Harry and Katie. But the first stop will be Marcello's.

The group turned onto the Alley behind Florean Fortescue's and there on the left was Marcello's wand shop. Harry opened the door and let the ladies enter first before entering the shop and closing the door. After entering Harry sees that there is no on in the front shop.

"Hello, is their anybody here?" Harry called out. They all hear some movement from the back of the store before a older lady appears from the back.

"Why, hello and welcome to Marcello's wand and staff. I am Tabitha Marcello," greeted the owner. "Now how can I help you today?"

"Nice to meet you," greeted Harry. "My companion here and I were just at Gringotts for Family House affairs and a test we both performed stated that our current wands were poor fits."

"I see. When did and where did you get your wands?" asked Marcello.

"I've had mine since just before first year at Hogwarts and I got it from Ollivander's," answered Katie.

"Same with me," added Harry. "He had to go through multiple wands to find mine."

"Well lets see what you have and see if I can find the problem in them or determine if you will need new wands," responded Marcello, while nodding her head to what the two teens had to say.

Katie hander her wand over first for Marcello to look at. "Black walnut and dragon heart string, in good physical condition," then she cast 'Avis', which produced a yellow canary. "Wand seems to be in good working order." stated Marcello, as she handed the wand back.

Harry then handed his wand over to Marcello to exam. "Holly with phoenix feather, in good physical shape, has been used hard but cared for," she then cast Orchideous, producing a bouquet of flowers. "Wand looks to be in good working order," said Marcello as she handed the wand back. "Here lets go to the range and see how the wands work and behave." Marcello leads the family over to the side of the shops back where she has casting range to test wands on.

"So, now I want you to start casting either Stupefy or stinging hex at the target down range and I want to see what happens with the wand," instructed Marcello.

Nodding her understanding, Katie started to cast the stunning charm. She noted that it was harder and the wand got warm when the spell did leave the wand. She had only cast a few spells before she switched to the stinging hex and noticed that it was even harder to cast and her wand got quit hot.

"I noticed you seemed to have difficulty in getting the spells off," commented Marcello, watching Katie nod her agreement. "Any thing else with the wand?"

"Yes the wand became warm while casting the stunner and quite hot with the stinging hex," replied Katie. "Also it felt like the magic was trapped in the wand."

"Okay, young man your turn," directed Marcello to Harry.

Harry stepped up to the line and started to cast Stupefy and he could not cast the spell. He felt his magic move into the wand but the spell would not leave. He stopped and practised the wand motion and the incantation and then tried casting again. He tried to push more magic into the spell and wand and finally the red stunner left the wand but his wand had become quit warm from only one spell. Harry tried again to cast the stunner and he had to consciously push magic into the wand and this time he dropped the wand as it got hot.

Marcello watched Harry as he was attempting to cast the stunning spell and noticed the changes in the wand and became quite concern after watching him drop the wand after the second spell left.

"What caused you to drop the wand?" asked Marcello.

"It was hot and starting to burn," answered Harry. Marcello went and picked up the wand and noticed that it was still rather warm to the touch. Enough that she was concern about letting him try another spell.

"That is enough testing for know," stated Marcello. "You have both changed in your magic to were your original wands no longer match your magic. It is not uncommon for a witch or wizard to have to change wands as they age, but it is very uncommon to occur so shortly after acquiring their wands. Did Ollivander say anything when the wands selected you?"

"No." answered Katie.

"Yes," replied Harry. "Ollivander said that he expected great things from me as the phoenix that gave a feather for my wand only gave one other feather and that feather resides in the wand of Voldemort."

"So there is a possible brother wand to the feather in your wand," summarized Marcello. "Did anything else happen to you recently?" Harry was thinking over the attack, but did not want to mention that, then he remembered the information on the inheritance test showing the loss of a soul shard binding his magic.

"The inheritance test that indicated the poor fit on the wand, had a line about a broken binding on my magic from a soul shard," answered Harry. Now Marcello looked closely at the teen and could now see the healed scar on his fore head.

"Mr. Potter, nice to meet you. Your presence here will remain just our secret. I have a theory that your wand was matching the soul shard that was binding your magic and not your true magic," stated Marcello. "I take it by the way your face changed as you thought through my question other things happened."

Harry and Katie looked at one another and the look shared a whole conversation. [Should we tell her what happened and what we are ?] asked Harry.

[We may have too, to get the correct wands for us,] replied Katie.

"Stop it you two, it is not polite to have a discussion when others are present," chided Elvina. Both teens blushed from being caught having a privet conversation.

"Did I miss something, as I did not see any conversation?" questioned Marcello.

"Ms. Marcello, allow me to introduce everyone," stated Harry. "This lovely young lady is my wife, Lady Katie Potter, I am Lord Harry Potter and the adult with us is Mrs. Bell, Katie's mother. My wife and I are married by soul-bond" Now Marcello jaw would have dropped on the floor if it could upon hearing that she has a soul-bond couple in her store, and it took a moment for her mind to being processing what this information meant.

"That is a big change in your magic, no wonder your old wands do not work," answered Marcello. "Is there anything else that I need to know before we begin making new wands, because that is what it will take for each of you."

"We will need an oath on life and magic on what we will tell you to completely answer your question," stated Harry. "We have only discussed this with my account manager and Gringotts Director and no one else about the change we have had."

Tabitha Marcello, looked at the two teens in her store and knew that to make them proper wands to match their magic, she needed to know all of the pertinent details, otherwise the wands will fail or fight them. She nods and pulls her wand to make her oath, not to reveal any of the information she is to learn or has been given to her by Lord and Lady Potter and Mrs. Bell.

"We were both attacked on the last full moon by Greyback," answered Katie, upon seeing magic accept Marcello's oath. "We were both bitten, and we were infected but will not become werewolves." Katie pulled out the copy of her inheritance test and showed Marcello that she is listed as Lycan. Harry followed Katie and pulled out his test showing he was also Lycan, he kept the information on his Houses concealed.

"We were informed that because of some foul dark magic, the presence of basilisk venom, phoenix tears, the forming of our soul-bond and other ancient magic the curse carried in Greyback's bite was mutated and changed to make us the Alpha pair of Lycan," continued Harry. Marcello sits back against her counter reaching for her stool as she processes what she had just been told. "We will need a wand maker, for anyone that accepts our gift of change as they will need a new wand and our children will need wands when they start school. So you will have some business coming from us as we will not be able to get our wands from Ollivander's."

Marcello's slowly gathers her composure over what she has just learned and that there will be a need for future wands for friends of Lord and Lady Potter. She may even get some side business from their friends. "But creatures are not allowed wands, per the Ministry," stated Marcello.

"We are not creatures," stated Katie. "The Ministry does not even know about us, and we will not be informing the Ministry of our new talents."

"What about your change on full moons?" inquired Marcello.

"We will change, but we do not become mindless raging animals," responded Harry. "We are gifted with alternate forms, but we never loose control to the animal. What we are is a gift from Mórrigan, Hecate, Freyja, Bastet, Diwija, and Selena."

Marcello, now saw a glow in her shop behind the two teens that slowly changed into six balls of light that surrounded the two teens in a protective fashion. She took the presence of the six glowing balls as a sign from the mentioned goddess that the teens were special and given the gift they have. Marcello then slowly reached into the cabinet next to were she had been sitting and pulled out a small bottle of fine quality scotch. She poured herself a small dram and emptied it in one swallow. "Now with that helping to calm my nerves over everything I have just learned or witnessed, lets get on with making you two new wands. Let me change the shop sign as we work." stated Marcello, as she changed the sign to closed.

Marcello then returned to her counter and pulled out three trays of different types of wood blocks in them. "Lady Potter please run your hand over the trays and focus your magic in your hand. Your hand should then be pulled to a block or two of wood that best suits your magic," instructed Marcello. "After we find the wood then we will try the wand cores the same way."

Katie walked over to the counter and the trays of wand wood types and push some of her magic into her right hand and began to pass the hand over the blocks of wood. As her hand passed over one tray several blocks started to vibrate towards the right upper corner, but they stopped moving when a block of Sequoia was pulled to her hand. She continued to check the trays again and a second block was pulled out, that of Linden wood. Once done Katie moved over to the trays of wand cores, while Marcello noted the two wood types and put them back in the trays. Marcello then motioned for Harry to start on the wand wood selection.

Harry Followed Katie in checking for the wand woods and as his hand approached the block of Sequoia it jumped into his hand. He set it aside and started again. On his second pass a block of Hornbeam. With the wand wood selected and noted by Marcello, Harry moved over to the tray of wand cores.

Katie started on the wand cores and she felt a pull in several directions. The first sample was of dragon scale, she got no reaction from the heartstrings beside it. The next sample was of Thestral tail hair. The third sample reacting almost like the first was Icy white feather, quickly followed by Nundu bone and last reaction was Kneazle whiskers. Marcello noted the core types and placed them back and waited for Harry to start.

Harry looked at the trays of wand cores and what Katie had selected. He was some lost in thought as he started to move his hand over the trays. His had was immediately pulled to the Thunderbird feather, and then to long thin basilisk fang, then over to the Thestral tail hair, a piece of Nemean Lion blood and Kneazle whiskers. Again Marcello noted the cores, she then pulled the unique types from the trays.

"Very interesting selections you have made," commented Marcello. "You can see the presence of the soul-bond in the wands that will be made. You both have selected a rarely use wood for your wands and you both share some uncommonly used secondary cores for your wands. Let me move these trays aside and pull up a few more as I feel the contents of these trays will be needed to fine tune and bind the wands." With that said she moved the woods sample and core sample trays aside and laid out on the counter two trays of gems and one tray of pieces of metal.

Katie went first and looked at the gems and was drawn to a sample of obsidian and no other sample. Over at the try of metal her hand was drawn to Peruvian silver. Marcello noted the components and had Harry approach. Harry moved his hand over the samples and was drawn to a dark purple-blue stone (Tanzanite) and with the metal he was sample of Mithril. Again Marcello noted the items and put the trays away.

"It will take me a few days to prepare the items and then to make the wands," stated Marcello, with a gleam in her eye. "I have not had this much of a challenge in making a wand in some time. Each of your wands will be very personal and will reflect who you are. I expect that they both will be very powerful in what they do. The wands should be ready in a three to four days."

"Draw up a draft for 50₲ commencement fee and I will pay the remainder when we pick up our wands. As I know that you cannot know what the final price will be today," stated Harry.

"Thank you, and here is the commencement fee draft, I will just need your signature or Lord ring stamp," stated Marcello. Harry called up the Potter ring and pressed it onto the bill draft for transfer of funds.

"Madam Marcello, thank you for your services in making our wands. I cannot stress enough the importance of not sharing what you have learned to anyone," said Harry.

"Lord Potter our business shall always remain between us," answered Marcello. "I do not recommend attempting to cast with your old wands any more, and suggest that they be mounted in honour of their service."

"Madam Marcello, that is a wonderful idea," answer Katie.

The Potters left the wand shop and proceeded to Florean Fortescue's for some ice cream and a light snack. After they had finished their ice cream they made their way to Madam Malkin's to get their new robes. Elvina suggested that they only get two sets of robes now for the up coming meetings, as they do not know how their bodies will change shortly. Both Katie and Harry agreed with her logic and selected two sets of daily robes and informal robes with the Potter crest on each. Harry also picked up a set of Dragon Hide boots with ever sized charm on them. Once done with Malkin's Harry recommended that they go to Stocberg's Trunk and bags for some new book bags. There they found two messenger bags with expansion and feather weight charms on them. The bags also had an outer covering of dragon hide and had a pouch for inks and quills separate from the main carrying space. The only difference was the colour of the bags, Harry's was a rich dark brown, while Katie's was cool blue-grey.

With their business in Diagon Alley finished the group moved to muggle London to get Harry some more appropriate clothing. They spent the rest of the afternoon visiting several stores in the mall. They helped Harry select a few sets of new clothes knowing of the change to come, but more to help him find the styles and colours of clothing that he liked. Seeing that is was late afternoon when they were done, Elvina suggested that they pick up some pizza for dinner and then head home. They found a small family owned pizza shop and picked up three large pizza with different toppings, once Katie had learned that Harry had never been allowed pizza with his relatives.
