Later they evening Chloe sat with her sister inside her bedroom at Horseland. They we're excitedly admiring they're new rings.
"We need to get Bailey alone so no one will see us casting the spell. Then we can have him," Chloe told her. "Come on. Let's go see if he's in his room."
A moment later Chloe knocked on Bailey's door and asked if they could come in.
He opened the door and they was Sarah sitting on his bed.
"Zoe? Chloe? What are you doing here," he asked. "It's not like you to visit me so late."
"Oh. We just wanted to see how you were doing," said Chloe. "You been practicing so hard for the upcoming competition. We thought you might want some to talk with about it. Seeing how it must be so stressful and all."
"Uh. Right," he responded his voice full of confusion.
Bailey had been in races before and he didn't know why they say something so strange.
"Well. Bailey doesn't have time to talk right now," said Sarah standing up and placing her hand on the door.
"Well if you don't mind," Zoe began only to be cut off by Sarah.
"Maybe later," said Sarah shutting the door and locking it.
Sarah clicked off the lights and they sat down on the bed.
"Now? Where were we," she whispered putting her arms around him and kissing him deeply on the lips.
Sarah and Baily had never had sex before least of all in Horseland. The walls were paper thin and they didn't want to wake everyone up but they could get away with sucking face.
The next day Chloe stood in the stables. She was busy grooming Chili and thinking of how to get some some alone time with Bailey. She heard Baily and Aztect in the arena. They were practicing for the upcoming race. She placed her saddle on Chili and hitched up into the saddle. She rode out to the arena and called out. "Bailey. What do you say you take a break? Come ride with me."
He had to admit he need a break. Bailey rode over to Chloe and asked again. "Do you wanna go for a ride?"
"I guess I could," he replied wiping the sweat from his forehead. "Where did you wanna ride to?"
"There's a place north of here we can," Chloe told him to be cut off by Sarah who rode up to them on Scarlett.
"Bailey there you are," she said. "I was wondering if you wanted to join on a picnic? It'll be just the two of us."
"Sounds good to me," he told her.
They rode off leaving Chloe alone.
Zoey rode up beside her sister on Pepper.
"Sis? Where have you been," asked Chloe.
"I was giving Chili a bath. Do you have any luck with Bailey," inquired Zoey.
Chloe sighed unhappily and shook her head.
The next morning Zoey Chloe Will Sarah Alma and Molly all sat around eating breakfast. Chole was thinking about how to get Bailey alone for a minute. They need to separate Sarah from Bailey. The only question was how? Chloe took a bit of eggs a idea hit her like a horseshoe in the head.
"Zoey. We're running low on grain for the horse," said Chole "Why don't we have our driver take us up to Jones stable and get some?"
Zoey looked at her sister. She could tell by the expressions on her face she was up to something.
"Yeah. Sure. OK," Zoey responded.
"No," Bailey cut in. "The last time you two did that we got a flat tire and you had to call a tow truck.
"Yeah. It's too bad our diver didn't put a spare tire in the trunk," Zoey stated.
"We could rude up Switch Back trail to Jones stable," Zoey suggested. "Me Alam and Sarah can go together. We'll have a girls trip. That way Bailey can keep on practicing for his up coming race."
"Maybe Bailey and I should ride to get the grain," suggested Sarah.
"No. She's right," interjected Bailey. "I need to practice."
Later that morning Zoey Alam and Sarah all loaded up their horse and set off up Switch Back trail. Chloe and Molly stood inside the stables grooming their horses. Seeing how the stables had been recently clean out and there were no chores to do Molly asked if her wanted to join her on a ride through the woods.
"No. You go ahead," Chloe declined. "I'll just hangout here."
"Suit yourself," remarked Molly.
A minute later Molly rode Calypso out of the stables.
Chloe seeing that she was alone in the stable walked to arena where Bailey was practicing with Aztec.
"Bailey? Could you come help me for a sec," she call out. "I need your help in the stable for a second."
Bailey stopped Aztec. "What is it?"
"It's a sack of old stale grain," Chloe lied. "It's really heavy. Can you give a hand moving it out of the way?"
He dismounted Aztec and walked with her into the stables.
"Where is it," he asked looking around.
"It's in the back behind that stack of hay," she lied again.
He walked to the rear of the stable and Chloe followed behind him. He looked behind the haystack and saw nothing.
"Chloe? Are you feeling alright," he asked turning to her.
"Bailey," she said holding up her left hand on which she wore her ring. "Obedire."
A green light shot from her palm and hit Bailey in the chest. A blank look came over his face.
"B-Bailey," Chloe asked. "Are-are you OK?"
He nodded.
Wanting to test her control over his she ordered him to stand on one foot.
He obeyed.
"Now. Follow my hand with your eyes," she told him.
Chloe moved her hand around in a circular and he followed it with his eyes. She smiled devilishly and Will popped his head into the front of the stables.
"Hey cousin? You in here," Will called out.
"Put your leg down," she whispered.
He obey and they stepped out from behind the haystack.
"What are you two back there," Will questioned.
"It's nothing," Zoey replied. "I just thought I was a mouse. I wanted Bailey to chase it away. Right Bailey."
Bailey nodded.
"Well. Jimber just threw a shoe," informed Will. "I need your help re-shoeing him."
Jimber was Will's horse and had been so for the next few years.
"He'll be right there," said Zoey.
Will walked away leaving them alone. Zoey lean into Bailey's ear and whispered "At midnight come alone to the apple tree north of West Trail. We'll meet you there."
Bailey nodded and went to help Will.
