Digimon Story: The Next Order

A month has passed since the world went back to normal. Six chosen ones fought with Digimon to save two worlds. Little did they know that defeating the Eaters was not the end of it. A new threat has appeared in the Digital World. Now the Cyber Sleuths and their friends are on the case to save Digimon from a war. ...And new allies join them from close by and somewhere VERY far way.

18. Chapter 18: The Solider of Despair

The masked tamer pointed forward. CresGarurumon charged at Rikka and slammed his spear against her horns. BlitzGreymon charged and Yukimura blocked his knee with his shield before pushing back and thrusting his lance, but BlitzGreymon vanished before getting hit then kicked the Gallantmon from behind. BlitzGreymon grappled Rikka and threw her into a wall. "Whoa! These guys are fast!"

"Yeah, and they pack a whaloop." Kouta added. "Yukimura, stay vigilant!"

"Right!" Yukimura blocked a punch with his shield then kicked BlitzGreymon.

"Hmph. That's your take on giving orders?" the masked Tamer asked. "Pathetic. BlitzGreymon, increase your speed." BlitzGreymon started moving faster. Hitting Yukimura repeatedly at different angles faster they he could block or dodge. "Go for the legs!" BlitzGreymon swept into Yukimura's feet with his foot then when his footing was lost BlitzGreymon kicked him across the room. "Now!"

"Nanomachine Break!" BlitzGreymon charged and punched Yukimura right in the chest.

The masked Tamer then turned to CresGarurumon. Rikka was biting down on the middle of his spear. "Let go." CresGarurumon let go of his weapon while Rikka was pulling, and she stumbled backwards into the wall with it in her mouth. The man snapped his fingers. "Attack!"

"Comet Hammer!" CresGarurumon punched Rikka right in the gut making her spit out his weapon.

"Rikka fight back!" Himari ordered.

As CresGarurumon picked up his spear Rikka rammed her skull into him then opened her mouth. "Don't block it!" the masked man ordered. "Dodge!" CresGarurumon jumped over a shining blast and kicked Rikka in the head as he came down. Rikka tried to get back up only for BlitzGreymon to knock Yukimura into her. The man's Digimon gathered back to him. "Is that it?" He asked folding his arms. "Disappointing. After hearing K and Crusadermon's report I was expecting more from you otherworldly Tamers."

"This jerk's making fun of us!" Himari glared.

"Calm down." Kouta whispered. "We need a plan. Listen, it seems like Yukimura isn't particularly weak or resistant to that red one's attacks so it might be a Virus Type like him. But the other one seems to really be hurting Rikka with every hit so it must be a Data Type since Rikka's a Vaccine."

"So? Oh, I get it! Rikka, go after the red one!"

"Yukimura, you take on the one with the spear!"

"Understood! Mach Jab!" Yukimura charged into CresGarurumon. The attack did more noticeable damage then when Rikka was fighting him.

"Thunderstorm!" Rikka let lose a blast of lighting that zapped BlitzGreymon.

BlitzGreymon Got back up. "Mach Rush!" He rammed himself into Rikka who after getting pushed charged right back.

"Buster Dive!"

Yukkimura's lance clashed with CresGarurumon's spear. Sparks flew into the air as they clashed. Yukimura then parried a thrust with his weapon and slammed CresGarurumon in the face with his shield. As CresGarurumon backed up Yukimura thrusted his lance. He barely dodged it but was slightly grazed. "Flash!" He held up his shield and a burst of light pushed his opponent back.

"Alright, this is working!" Kouta said.

"Using Types to your advantage?" The masked tamer asked. Yukimura was trusting his lance rapidly at CresGarurumon who could do nothing but defend while Magnadramon had BlitzGreymon pinned to the ground. "At least you have the common sense to do that much. I'll give you praise for identifying their types on your own." He swiped his Digivice in front of him and a monitor appeared with images of his Digimon. "But such a common tactic won't suffice against us." He made some inputs and pressed an option that said "Bug".

As he pressed it a strange light glowed around his two Digimon. Then just like that BlitzGreymon shoved Rikka into the air then flew up, grabbed her tail and slammed her to the ground. "What?!" Himari asked. "Rikka!"

After dodged a lance thrust, CresGarurumon grabbed Yukimura and thrusted his spear. Yukimura barely blocked in time with his shield, but then CresGarurumon swung him into a wall. "What's going on?!" Kouta asked.

"I inflicted both of my Digimon with the Bug status effect." the masked Tamer replied. "Now their weaknesses and resistances are reversed."

"You can do that?!"

"Now before you can switch targets again…CresGarurumon!"

"Understood!" CresGarurumon held up his spear and ice formed around it. He turned around and swung summoning an ice wall that separated him, Kouta and Yukimura from BlitzGreymon, Himari, and Rikka.

"What the heck was that?!" Himari asked. "We're cut off from each other!"

"Now then." The man put his Digivice away and looked forward. "Shall we continue?"

The two turrets on BlitzGreymon's shoulders pointed forward. "Thunder Vernier!"

CresGarurumon's lance morphed with ice. "Fury: Ice Moon Fang!"

Keisuke and Takuto hit another dead end. "Welp, this way is no good." Keisuke sighed.

"We searched everywhere we can." Nova said. "I say we head back and see if Kouta and Himari found anything."

"Works for me." Takuto said. "Come on Keisuke, let's-

A loud bang from far behind them got their attention. "That can't be good." Storm said as they all turned around.

"No kidding." TyrantKabuterimon muttered.

"Himari! Kouta!" Takuto rushed on ahead.

"Takuto, wait up!" Keisuke chased after him.

BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon had Rika and Yukimura backed into a corner. Both were on the ground hurting from a great deal of damage. "It seems this is your limit." The masked Tamer folded his arms. "How unfortunate."

"Ah…who is this guy?!" Kouta grunted. "He's strong and he's commanding two partners perfectly at the same time!"

"Rikka…" Himari whimpered.

Yukimura tried to push himself up with his lance but stumbled to his knees. "Ugh…curses…"

"Himari…" Rikka groaned.

"That being said you bond with your Digimon is clear and provided some amusement." The masked Tamer said. "If you two had more time to develop you might have become worthy adversaries. But alas, I grow tired of these games. BlitzGreymon, CresGarurumon, finish them."

"Roger." The red Digimon took aim and Rikka and the golden one stepped towards Yukimura with his spear held forward. He held it overhead ready to strike as BlitzGreymon's turrets started to spin.

"NO!" Kouta shouted.

"DON'T DO IT!" Himari cried.

The man held up a hand ready to snap his fingers and give the signal. "This is war. If you willingly step into the battlefield, you must be ready to potentially meet your end."

"STOP!" Right when he was about to snap his fingers them man heard a shout and looked in front of him. Takuto was right at the door with Keisuke and their Digimon behind them.

"Terra Force!"

"Volcanic Driver!" PileVolcamon and Nova attacked CresGarurumon and BlitzGreymon who jumped back. The ice wall CresGarurumon formed melted away.

Himari looked behind her. "T-Takuto!"

"Man, you two showed up just in time." Kouta said.

"I noticed. Sorry about that." Takuto replied. He looked up at the enemy. "Who is this guy anyway?"

Keisuke stared at him. "Why does this guy look familiar?"

TyrantKabuterimon gasped. "Keisuke, this is that other masked hacker! The one who fought Jesmon and Gankoomon!"

"Wait, that's right! We saw through the memories of Nokia's Digimon!"

The masked Tamer stared at the newcomers. "So, the so called "savior" of the other Digital World enters the fray. Along with Keisuke Amasawa of Hudie. An interesting combination."

Takuto looked at Keisuke. "You know this guy?"

"I know that he's another human working for the Next Order. How he knows who I am is beyond me."

The tamer folded his arms. "I am like you. I possess memories and knowledge lost to the rest of our kind. But if you know of me, then it seems my reputation in this world proceeds me."

MetalSeadramon scoffed. "Pfft. Yeah, right pal. We don't even know your name."

"You may call me…Brother Sorrow. The shadow of despair."

"Brother…Sorrow?" Keisuke asked.

"I do not know what brought you to this world Keisuke. But you should not have come. What is happening here has nothing to do with you."

"My friends are involved! It has*everything*to do with me!"

"Your friends you say? Surely you don't mean the Cyber Sleuths and their allies."

"Among others here, yes!"

CresGarurumon glanced at his Tamer. "Sir, if that witch is here, do you think he may have been manipulated into another one of her schemes?"

The man sighed. "It seems that way. How unfortunate."

"Wait, what's this about witches?" Takuto asked.

"Forget it." Brother Sorrow shook his head before looking back at Keisuke. "I have no desire to fight you. But if you do attempt to interfere, I will strike you down."

"Ugh." Hosaka grumbled as he walked over. "What part of "try to keep it quiet" flew over your head back there! This is hard enough without your- He stopped in his tracks when he spotted Keisuke and Takuto. "Oh joy, now what?"

Keisuke gasped. "Wait…is that…Akira Hosaka?!"

"Hosaka?" PileVolcamon asked before doing a take. "Wait, you mean that hacker the original K had steal your EDEN account?! What's this loser doing here?!"

Hosaka looked at Keisuke. "…Do I know you?"

"Um…" Keisuke wasn't sure how to answer that. "Even if I do tell him there's no way he'd remember what happened before Takumi and the others-

Hosaka smiled slightly "Oooooh, wait a second. You're Keisuke Amasawa, aren't you?"

"Huh?"

"Yeah, that boring guy I was hired to steal an EDEN account from. Man, that bit me in the ass in a way I didn't see coming. I swear, trust one guy and your entire ship sinks straight to the sea floor."

"Preaching to the choir on that one." Brother Sorrow muttered so quietly nobody heard him.

"Wait, how could you remember me?!" Keisuke asked. "After our world was transformed the only ones who remember anything regarding Digimon are me, Erika, and Arata and the others!"

"Oh, not just you I'm afraid. I well remember the last "incident" back home."

"How is that even possible?!" TyrantKabuterimon asked.

"Oh, you could say I had a little enlightenment." Hosaka replied. "But enough of that. Brother Sorrow, the program just needs time to install, and we'll have what we're here for. So would you mind just getting these two out of my face?"

"How about you start pulling some weight?"

"Excuse me?"

"There are two of them as well after all. If you don't train your partners, they won't listen to you. Just like Belphemon."

"Yeah, but…"

"Belphemon?!" Takuto asked. "One of the Deadly Digimon?!"

"Yeah, but don't worry about him." Kouta said. "That thing is a total teddy bear in this world, he just fell asleep the moment he came out."

Brother Sorrow turned to Hosaka. "See? I crushed that guy along with his friend easily and he's looking down on you due to your lack of discipline. You're disgracing yourself."

"Ugh, alright, alright." Hosaka rolled his eyes and took out his Digivice. "Let's see, since Belphemon is about as helpful as a sleeping pet, how about I give the other two a whirl?" Two more Digimon appeared in front of him. One had red wings a long white beard and held a staff. The other had blond hair and four angel wings on one side and four bat wings on the other. Two symbols appeared behind them as they emerged. "Alright you two, time to get to work."

"Babramon and Lucemon." Takuto growled. "Two more of the Deadly Digimon."

"So, which one do you want to fight?" Hosaka asked. "I mean, I don't really care either way, so…"

Brother Sorrow stared at Keisuke. "I'll face him. I'm curious about his abilities."

"Sure." Hosaka looked at Takuto. "I guess I get the kid with the weird hair then." Hosaka walked down the steps and stood in front of Takuto.

"Hmph! The Next Order better reward us handsomely for this!" Babramon said.

"I need no petty rewards." Lucemon said. "I am a proud Deadly Digimon! I will not be defeated by utter scum like this filth!"

BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon went to Brother Sorrow's side as he approached Keisuke. "Keisuke, be careful!" Himari said. "That guy is crazy strong, Kouta and I got our butts whooped!"

"The gold one is a Data Type and the red one is a Vaccine!" Kouta said. "But he did something that reversed their strengths and weaknesses!"

"Reversed?" Keisuke asked. "Sounds like the Bug status."

"That is correct." Brother Sorrow replied. "I shouldn't have to tell you that hackers fight with more then just Digimon. Now." He got into a fighting stance. As did his Digimon. "Let us see what you are made of."

"You want it, you got it! Let's go guys!"

"Right!" MetalSeadramon rushed at BlitzGreymon who took to the air. As MetalSeadramon pursued, PileVolcamon rushed at CresGarurumon who blocked a punch with his spear and then kicked him. He dodged TyrantKabuterimon's headbutt and stabbed him repeatedly.

"River of Power!"

"Elec Guard!" BlitzGreymon summoned a yellow barrier that blocked the hit.

"Their strengths and weaknesses are reversed. In that case…" "Guys, focus on the red one for now!"

"Roger that!" Tyrant and the others made a beeline for BlitzGreymon.

CresGarurumon chased them. "You think you can ignore me?!"

Keisuke grinned. "Psyche! Get him MetalSeadramon!"

MetalSeadramon turned around and slammed his tail into CresGarurumon knocking him back. "River of Power!" He then fired a powerful blast into him before rushing at the golden Digimon.

"Meteor Fall!" TyrantKabuterimon threw a fireball at BlitzGreymon who dodged the attack only to get hit by claws.

"Now PileVolcamon! Hit him hard!"

PileVolcamon descended towards BlitzGreymon with a meteor. "Volcanic Driver!"

"Simple…but effective. In that case…" Brother Sorrow held a hand towards BlitzGreymon and snapped his fingers. "Skip Frame."

In an instant BlitzGreymon vanished and was now right above PileVolcamon just before he came crashing down. Brother Sorrow pressed something and his Digimon flashed again. "Nanomachine Break!" He punched him to the ground.

"What the-?!" Keisuke gapped.

"I removed the Bug status from BlitzGreymon. Now his strengths and weaknesses are back to normal."

"Plasma Stake!" BlitzGreymon then fired at TyrantKabuterimon.

While his friend was being bombarded, PileVolcamon got up and grabbed BlitzGreymon from behind. "Get him TyrantKabuterimon!"

"Shine of…!"

"Freeze Frame." Brother Sorrow snapped his fingers at TyrantKabuterimon and he completely froze.

"What?! TryantKabuterimon?!" Keisuke gasped.

BlitzGreymon rammed the back of his head into PileVolcamon forcing him to let go and kicked him away. He then charged at TyrantKabuterimon and threw a flurry of punches. "Thunder Vernier!" He blasted him away with two powerful shots.

TyrantKabuterimon grunted and got back up. "What just happened?"

"You just froze up there TyrantKabuterimon!" Keisuke said. "What was that, some kind of Hacking Skill?"

Nova and Storm were blown away by Hosaka's Digimon. "Gah! This is bad." Nova grunted.

"Ha! Is that all?" Hosaka laughed. "Brother Sorrow probably could have taken all of you no problem."

"These two…they're both stronger then the Lucemon and Barbamon we know." Storm growled.

"Then we need to step up!" Takuto pressed his Digivice. "Nova! Storm!"

Hosaka shielded his eyes from the bright light emanating from Takuto. Keisuke and Brother Sorrow were distracted from their own battle by the light. "What is that?" the masked man asked.

Keisuke watched in awe. "Takuto…?"

Nova and Storm roared as they became blue particles. Takuto held out his hand and a light formed. His Digimon swirled into it making an infinity sign. "Extra Cross Evolution!" After a bright flash a giant egg appeared. As it started to fade away a Omegamon appeared.

Keisuke gasped. "That Digimon…!"

"What is this?!" Hosaka asked. "His Digimon combined into one?! They can do that?!"

"Let's try this again Omni!" Takuto shouted. "Go get em!"

"Supreme Cannon!" Omni fired a blast at Lucemon from one hand and spun around before drawing a sword from his other hand. "Transcendent Sword!" He then charged into Barbamon and slashed him.

"Gah!" Barbamon dropped to the ground. Lucemon was still airborne but clearly hurt. "Why you…!"

"Omegamon of the Royal Knights?!" Lucemon asked. "Impossible! His partner should be that Nokia brat!"

"This must be the Omegamon of the other Digital World." Brother Sorrow scoffed. "Tch! That idiot K brought a real nuisance to our doorsteps."

"How'd you like that!" Takuto grinned.

"Don't get cocky brat." Hosaka growled and took out his Digivice. He made some inputs. "Lucemon, Babramon, give em hell!" His Digimon healed and glowed red.

"What was that?" Takuto asked.

"A Hacking Skill! Takuto, stay alert!" Keisuke warned. BlitzGreymon and CresGarururmon rammed into two of his Digimon. "PileVolcamon! MetalSeadramon!"

"You've got problems of your own Hudie." Brother Sorrow said.

Lucemon roared and rushed at Omni. "Deadly Roll!" A powerful roundhouse kick sent him flying. Lucemon then appeared above him and stomped him to the ground and jumped off him. "Violated Rune Forrest!" A green blast engulfed him.

"Burst Flame!" Barbamon let loss a blast of fire on Omni.

"Get back up!" Takuto shouted. Omni sprung to his feet and dashed at Barbamon who blocked the sword with his staff. They clashed a bit until Lucemon blind sighted Omni from behind with a kick to the back. Barbramon's staff flew out of his hand and slammed into Omni.

BlitzGreymon threw PileVolcamon into MetalSeadramon. TyrantKabuterimon flew at him from behind. "Skip Frame." Brother Sorrow snapped his fingers again and in the blink of an eye CresGarurumon appeared behind TyrantKabuterimon and slammed him to the ground.

"Okay, this is really bad." Takuto muttered. "These guys are way stronger then the Deadly Digimon I know."

"We could normally beat these guys just fine…" Omni said. "But their Tamer boosting their powers with some strange program really is keeping us on the backfoot."

Keisuke cringed. "It's like this guy can manipulate time or something…How are we supposed to fight this?!"

"Keisuke, these guys aren't the only ones with Hacking Skills!" TyrantKabuterimon said. "So, let's fight fire with fire!"

"Fire with- Keisuke gasped. "Takuto! Use the program Hudiemon gave us!"

"What program?" Takuto blinked. "Wait…that's right!"

"I was planning on giving it to you when you got here. And since Takuto and his friends are Digimon Tamers, I might as well share it with all of you. Would all of you show me your Digivices?"

"Huh? Okay." Keisuke took of his visor and handed it to Hudiemon. Takuto, Himari and Kouta took the Digivices off their wrists and gave them to Hudiemon. She brought them over to her computer and started typing after hooking them up. The others watched a bar signifying a download progress slowly reaching 100%.

"Done." Hudiemon went back to the others and handed them back their Digivices.

They all took a peek at what was installed. "Hmm? What's this?" Himari asked.

"Think of it as my specialty."

Keisuke recognized the program. "Wait…isn't this what you used on my Digimon whenever we partnered up?"

"That's right. And during my time learning more about Digimon in this world I gave it a few tweaks. Like before it will increase your Digimon's attack and defence, but now it will also increase their speed and improve their senses."

"That sounds amazing!" Kouta said.

"But be carful when you use it. I gave the program so many enchantments that it's come with…negative effects."

"Example?" Kouta asked.

"Well for one thing it takes a lot out of your Digivice, so you won't be able to use it for anything else while the program is running. Also, it puts a heavy strain on your Digimon. They'll burn themselves out fast. I'm sure they will adjust to the strain the more you use it, but still be carful. Especially the first time. I would advise you avoid using it unless it seems like the only way out."

"Gotchya." Takuto smiled. "Thanks."

Takuto opened his eyes. "I guess it's that time."

"Seems like it." Keisuke put on his Visor.

"What are you two muttering about over there?" Hosaka asked. "You know what? Dosen't matter. Let's just finish this so I can wrap up my job here and get out of this tower already. Lucemon! Barbamon!"

While Hosaka's Digimon rushed towards Takutos, Brother Sorrow seemed more intrigued with what Keisuke and Takuto bringing out their Digivices. "What's your play this time?"

"Here we go Omni!" Takuto's finger pressed his Digivice.

Keisuke had monitors in front of him. "It's risky, but it's better than us falling here! Here we go!" He pressed a button.

"Overclock!"

Babramon and Lucemon stopped their advance as Omni glowed red. TyrantKabuterimon, MetalSeadramon and PileVolcamon also started to glow. "What's this?" Lucemon growled.

"Some kind of Hacking Skill." Brother Sorrow noted.

Omni vanished in the blink of an eye. "What the hell?!" Barbamon looked around then got kicked in the side with twice the force of normal. Before Lucemon could react, he was punched in the face. Both recovered and charged at him from the front and behind. But Omni held his sword out and fired his cannon behind him, not only shooting Babramon but the force rocketed him into Lucemon.

"What the hell was that?!" Hosaka yelled. "What's going on?!"

"Skip Frame!" Brother Sorrow snapped his fingers at BlitzGreymon who in an instant was right in front of PileVolcmon, but he ducked under the punch and kicked the Digimon back. "What?!"

TyrantKabuterimon charged up. "Shine of…!"

"Freeze Frame!" Brother Sorrow snapped his fingers and the Digimon paused. "Go! CresGarurumon!"

CresGarurumon roared and charged at TyrantKabuterimon with his spear. "Beast Cyclone!"

"BEE!" TyrantKabuterimon started moving far faster then the last time he was frozen. A brilliant blast blew CresGarurumon away.

"Plasma Stake!" BlitzGreymon unleashed a rapid fire flurry at MetalSeadramon and PileVolcamon. The former swerved around the attack and the other slid under it before they rushed.

"River of Power!"

"Elect Guard!" BlitzGreymon blocked the incoming attack but then PileVolcamon was directly above him.

"Volcanic Driver!" He slammed a meteor down on top of him making an explosion.

"Requiem Ocean Wave!" Lucemon summoned a tide that barley even phased Omni.

"Pandemonium Lost!" Barbramon held his staff forward and a symbol formed.

It generated an orb that shot a beam at Omni who dodged it before charging at him. "Spiral Driver! Judgment!" He immediately followed up with a flash of light.

Lucemon growled as fiery sun-like orbs gathered in his hands. "Dead or Alive!" He threw one after another at Omni who shoot one with his cannon and batted the other aside with his sword. He then rushed in and slashed Lucemon repeatedly. Barbramon came at him from behind.

"DG Dimension V3!" Omnimon distorted the space around them. Not only were the two Deadly Digimon damaged but they became 8-bit.

"W-what the hell is that?!" Hosaka yelled. "Lucemon, Barbramon, do something!"

The two could only weakly punch at Omni who kicked them across the room. "Yes! Takuto did it!" Kouta said.

"Alright pal, time for the finisher!" Takuto ordered.

Omni held his cannon towards the two 8-bit targets. "Supreme Canno- And just before he could fire, he split back into Nova and Storm.

"...Huh?" Takuto blinked. "Guys, what's wrong?"

Both were panting heavily. "Ah...Takuto..." Nova groaned.

"Sorry..." Storm muttered. "But we burned through too much power to stay fused."

Keisuke averted his gaze from his fight to observe. "That's right. Hacking Skills aren't a thing where they're from. They must not know how to control such modifications."

Hosaka laughed. "Ha! You don't even know how to use your own program? What a joke."

Nova stood tall. "I wouldn't get cocky if I were you."

Storm also held his ground. "We may not be able to merge but we can still fight. Which is more than I can say for your Digimon."

"Ngh..."

PileVolcamon hammered BlitzGreymon to the floor then backflipped over TryantKabuterimon who slashed at him twice. MetalSeadramon rammed his skull into CresGarurmon and backed up. "Hydro Water!" He blasted him with water.

"Thunder Vernier!"

"Beast Cyclone!" CresGarurumon and BlitzGreymon hit back making PileVolcamon and MetalSeadramon stumble. The two of them grappled TyrantKabuterimon and with effort pushed them back.

The red glow vanished from Keisuke's Digimon. "Looks like they ran out of steam." CresGarurumon said. "That program has left them exhausted. Sir, we're going for the kill."

"BlitzGreymon. CresGarurumon. Don't be reckless."

BlitzGreymon looked at Brother Sorrow. "Sir?"

"You two are slowing down. This fight clearly took its toll on you two as well. We need to assess the situation. Besides, I refuse to expose you two to too much risk."

"...Understood." The two of them leapt backwards to the right and left of Brother Sorrow.

Keisuke gave him a surprised look. "Huh. I wasn't expecting you to care so much for Digimon."

"Why wouldn't I? They are not programs, weapons or puppets. They are my comrades. They fight by my side with everything they have. So, I owe it to them to keep them safe."

Keisuke stared at him. "Wow. This guy is nothing like K or Hosaka. He's nowhere near self-obsessed."

Brother Sorrow's gaze shifted to Keisuke. "You've improved a great deal since I last saw you. I must admit I'm quite impressed. It makes me wonder just how you got dupped into being another one of her puppets. You're clearly overqualified."

"Who is "her"?"

"The root to everyone's suffering. The one who I will have my vengeance on." Brother Sorrow took out his Digivice and looked at it. "I harbor no ill will towards you or your team Keisuke. But I've made up my mind. In order to put that tragedy behind me, I must punish those responsible. And I won't let anyone get in the way of that." He held it forward. "Time to end this. Creepymon, come forth!"

In between BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon a pillar of fire rose up. It swirled as everyone turned to it. "Now what?!" Himari shouted.

The flames slowly died down. A black and purple Digimon with horns and eerie wings appeared. As he roared the Crown of Greed appeared behind him. "Another Deadly Digimon?!" Takuto gapped.

BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon stood tall as the third Digimon entered the ring. But then a beeping was heard from the back of the room. "Finally!" Hosaka ran back to the monitor.

"Hey, where are you going?" Takuto asked.

Hosaka hastily continued working on his computer. The egg in the green tube started to glow red. It cracked all around and hatched into a small grey Digimon with red eyes. "What is that?" Takuto asked. "I've never seen a Digimon like that."

"Can't say I'm surprised." Brother Sorrow replied. "This one is one of a kind."

The small Digimon started to glow and blinded everyone in the room. As the light died down there was the sound of smashing glass and green fluid spilling onto the floor. The small Digimon became bigger. It was pink with red scythe hands and horns. It hissed as it stood up. "At last!" Hosaka grinned. "I've done what none other could do! After snatching that Digi-Egg from Under Zero I was able to awaken the ultimate Digimon!"

"Under Zero? Ultimate Digimon?" Takuto asked. "Any idea what he's ranting about over there Keisuke? …Keisuke?"

Keisuke was bug eyed, gapping with cold sweat running down his face along with his Digimon. "No, no, no, no, no!"

"Keisuke?" Takuto stared at him worryingly. "What's wrong?"

"Not him…Not him!"

"Yo, boys, mission accomplished!" Hosaka called to his Digimon. "Time to go!"

"What?!" Lucemon scowled. "You want us to just turn tail and run?! We have them cornered!"

"That's not how I'm see it." Takuto grinned.

"You dare make fun of me boy?! I am Lucemon! The Deadly Digimon of Pride! The most powerful-

"Yeah, yeah." Hosaka scoffed as he sent his pixilated Digimon along with this new one back into his Digivice. "Alright, come on, Brother Sorrow, we're done here so let's go tell the king the good news so I can claim my reward!"

"Very well." Brother Sorrow withdrew his Digimon and turned around.

"Hey, stop!" Kouta ran over to join Keisuke and Takuto.

"Running away from us now?" Himari glared as she joined them.

Brother Sorrow looked at them over his shoulder. "Running away? You must be confused. Our orders were to hatch this Digi-egg, not fight you. Now that we completed what we came for, we have no reason to be here. Your job was to stop us, and you failed. Don't worry, if you still insist on meddling with the Next Order, I'm sure our paths will cross again." He walked over to Hosaka.

Hosaka laughed as he pulled up a menu on his Digivice. "We're done with this place. See ya losers!" He activated a Home Gate.

As light glowed around the two Brother Sorrow looked back at Keisuke. "I'll see you around..." He gave him a two fingered wave "Errand boy."

They both disappeared. "Dang it!" Storm growled. "They got away!"

Takuto turned to his friends. "Himari, Kouta, are you alright?"

"I'm fine." Kouta replied.

"Me too." Himari nodded. "But Rikka and Yukimura..."

"We'll survive." Yukimura said. "Don't worry about us."

The door banged open and Justimon rushed into the room. "Keisuke!"

"Justimon!" Takuto turned to him. "Are you done with what you needed to do?"

"Yes. We are done here. I gave everyone the order to pull back. We should go."

"Got it." Kouta turned to Yukimura and Rikka. "Can you two move?"

"Don't worry, we can make it back to the hidout." Rikka replied.

Takuto turned to Keisuke who stared at the shattered tube with a pale expression. "Keisuke?" He went over and shook his shoulder. "Keisuke!"

"Wha! Huh? What?"

"Come on man, we gotta pull back."

"Right..." Everyone walked towards the door. Keisuke stood there for a moment longer. "Why him...?" He slowly walked out the door.

So, in case it wasn't clear I decided to give the Deadly Digimon personalities that reflect the sin each on represents. The exception being Beelzemon who had a set personality already thanks to Hacker's Memory but that aside all you need to remember is: Babramon is greedy, Belphamon sleeps on the job, Leviamon is jealous of others stronger than him but won't admit it, Lilithmon is creepy, Creepymon is grumpy, and Lucemon is Vegeta.

Lucemon: You! Leopardmon! Too strong! Explain now!

Crusadermon: He destroyed King Drasil and became the new leader of the Digital World.

Lucemon: The ****'s a "King Drasil"?

Dynasmon: Basically God.

Lucemon: But I'm still here!

Crusadermon: Do you really believe your own hype that much?!

Lucemon: I AM THE HYPE!

DBZ Abridged jokes aside we now have a name for our second masked hacker. Brother Sorrow and his identity are another mystery you can look forward to our friends solving later down the road. In the meantime, next chapter things will start to heat up a little bit.

One more thing. Next week I will be going away for a bit. I'll still be writing but I'm not sure if I'll have Wi-Fi access where I'm going, in which case I will upload next part when I get back. Just wanted to put the safety net out in case people don't see a new chapter Sunday and think I'm abandoning the story. I promise you all that's NOT going to happen. Whether it's next week or a bit later there WILL be a next part. Thank you.
