Sorry, this was a short one.
Like any other day and Ash was training hard along with his Pokémon at Professor Oak's lab, today he wanted work on some accuracy techniques so that his Pokémon were ready and quick enough to take down an opponent he had set up a few targets then called upon Pikachu and Boldore to work on their skills, "Pikachu Boldore use Thunderbolt and Rock Blast at the targets" Ash commands then and they happily oblige. Targets were scorched or destroyed by many blasts by bolts of lightning or hurling rocks and in the end all the targets were shot at but with pin point accuracy, this made Ash so proud he complimented his friends for all their effort "you guys were great at this rate we'll all win the World Coronation Series for sure" Pikachu and Boldore begin to cheer in excitement.
After training Ash and his friends were heading back to the main building and then Professor Oak came up to see them "well my boy how's training going" Oak asked and Ash replied, "honestly I'm pretty confident for our next battle", Oak then retorts "well that's nice to hear but if I may ask who's your next opponent" and then answers, "well the problem is everyone competing here in Pallet Town is low in the Normal Class so I really don't know here where I can get a battle". Ash became baffled on what he was going to do however Oak came up with a solution "you know I believe there's a trading event going on at the Vermillion City which means they'll be a lot of trainers gathering so if with any luck there might be someone who can battle you that's in your rank" Ash then turns to his Pokémon and asks "what do you say guys you up for another trip to Vermillion City" they give off an expression saying yes and then they all head out to Vermillion City.
A while later after a bus ride Ash and Pikachu arrived at the Vermillion City Pokémon Centre and witnessed the trading event, it filled with all sorts of trainers willing to trade their Pokémon with each other. A lot of the trainers took notice of Pikachu and begged Ash to trade their Pokémon for Pikachu which freaked both them out however after he politely declined all their offers a lot of them became sad and went about their business, however Ash decided to stay on task "okay there's got to be someone competing and that's in my rank" Ash said. Ash got out his phone used an app which tracks competitors so trainers can find each other and battle, so as Ash checked the App and it said someone was in rank and it appeared to someone named "Kricketina Kylie" and weirdly enough she was also dressed like a Kricketune.
Despite her odd appearance Ash still requested to issue to battle and then went looking for her and soon enough he then saw the back of a person that fit the description. The person then took notice of Ash and then immediately came running at him and exclaimed "it's my outfit right, you know why I'm wearing it don't you" Ash uncomfortably responded, "because your trying to look like a Kricketune" she replies "exactly, so you must Ash the trainer that wants to battle me huh" Ash then greets himself "that's right I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town" she then introduced herself "the name's Kricketina Kylie the bug type queen of Sinnoh" Ash then questions about her title "bug type queen, so you've caught every Sinnoh bug type" and Kylie answers "you bet and now I'm working on catching bug types from other regions". Just then both their phones starting chiming saying, "a battle challenge has been issued so do you wish to accept or reject it" they both accept it at the same time and then then the phones say, "an official battle has been registered".
They proceed to the docks to have their battle in which a drone arrives and announces, "you have been approved for an official Pokémon World Coronation Series Great Class battle", both Ash and Kylie take their places and become fired up to battle "Keep your guard up my bug types and I are as strong as they come" Kylie announces while Ash retorts "oh yeah well me and my Pokémon are the best of the very best". The drone then creates a scoreboard and states, "for today's battle each of you will be allowed to use one Pokémon, will both challengers please bring out your Pokémon, thank you 3…2…1…go", "okay Boldore I choose you" Ash throws out his poke ball and releases Boldore "Pinsir it's your turn" Kylie throws out her poke ball and releases a Pinsir.
Boldore releases a Sandstorm attack which does a little damage to Pinsir and wear it down but Pinsir stood strong and stood it's ground, however Pinsir then pushed forward using Fury Attack which lands a few hits on Boldore and make things worse then tries to attack with Arm Thrust but Boldore stopped it in it's tracks with Flash Cannon. Pinsir's speed was reduced which mean Boldore was then free to fire a few Rock Blasts at it but Pinsir situationally fought back using Rock Tomb and both took damage, however in a last-ditch effort Pinsir ran in using X-Scissor but Boldore attacked using Rock Smash and the second they collided with each other Pinsir was knocked to the ground and fainted. The drone then flies closer and announces "Pinsir is unable to battle, the win goes to Boldore which means the victory goes to Ash of Pallet Town".
Ash was happy about the win and then Boldore came up and hugged Ash of all it's efforts, the drone also stated that "as a result of today's battle there has been a change in the Pokémon World Coronation Series rankings". Kylie accepted her defeat and put Pinsir back into its poke ball for a rest "you did well Pinsir, you're quite strong I admit defeat" and Ash compliments "thanks you caught the two of us in really good shape", Ash's phone then started chiming saying he's now ranked 531st place "moved up again all right" Ash, Pikachu and Boldore jumped into the air in excitement of their newest victory.
Our hero may only still be ranked in the great class however every battle is one step closer to making it to the masters and the monarch himself, as the journey continues.
