Disclaimer: Just want to make clear that Ash's journey team will not be apart of this, so in this rewrite there will be no Dragonite, Gengar, Lucario, Sirfetch'd or Dracovish.
In a forest in the Johto Region during a fierce storm an entire waterfall flowing down dirty and disgusting water into the lagoon below causing it to become unsafe for the Pokémon that want to drink from it and the ones that live in as well, it even caused a Goldeen to become very sick. A lot of the Pokémon living the area took cover from the conditions, including a trainer passing by to be none other than Tracey "I better take shelter I don't think this storm is going to let up" as states as he heads into a dry cave.
While waiting for the storm to clear up he noticed it did begin to stop and revealed the clear skies behind the dark clouds, in which Tracey decided to step out "phew I thought that storm would never end…oh no" he went over to lake to see it had completely been polluted and was absolutely filthy. Tracey felt really sorry for the Pokémon that needed the lake to live "oh man this is bad…" he becomes confused as he watches the water become blue and clear again not to mention it so clean he could see a perfect reflection of himself. Tracey becomes confused until he looks over at a rock and sees the legendary Pokémon Suicune standing on top of it.
Meanwhile back in the Kanto Region Professor Oak was looking through some amazing pictures which really fascinated him, soon enough Ash had arrived to do some training with his Pokémon but then noticed the Professor really involved in something so he asks, "he Professor Oak what's got you in a good mood" he replies, "Ash my boy look at this Tracey sent me pictures of Suicune" Ash couldn't belive what he was hearing so he had a look at the photos and they really of Suicune. Ash was really amazed by all these photos and especially with the fact that Tracey took these himself "so wait Tracey was the one that took these" Ash asked and Oak replies "that's right while he was Pokémon watching in the forests of Mt Silver he saw Suicune himself however after he took the photo Suicune himself disappeared like it does usually".
Ash was really impressed however he also noticed that the professor seemed confused about something and asked, "is everything alright" Oak replied, "well Tracey isn't the first to spot it around the area because there have been a few sighting however it's said Suicune travels the world purifying polluted water and normally once it's cleaned a body of water Suicune usually goes away", confused Ash asked "is Suicune not cleaning other lakes". The Professor then tried to explain "well for some reason this Suicune seems to be staying around the lake let alone there have been multiple reports of it getting dirty every day in which Suicune cleans it up", Ash then states "maybe there's a broken sewage pipe or something" and Oak says "that could be the reason, although a proper investigation is needed but the thing is I've got too much work to get done around here at the lab" while the Professor was pondering on what to do Ash tells him "you know what I'll go to Johto and meet up with Tracey and then we'll see what's wrong" Oak happily thanked Ash "thank you Ash I really appreciate this".
After arriving in Johto and arriving at Mt Silver Forest Ash looks around trying to find either Tracey or Suicune "HEY TRACEY ARE YOU AROUND HERE", just then Tracey walks out from behind a giant rock and is excited to see him "Ash it's you" Tracey ran up to greet his friend "how have you been" Tracey asks and Ash replies "I've been doing great, had a lot of adventures and recently enter the World Coronation Series" Tracey was impressed to hear all this "well it's no surprise you'd enter getting the chance to battle the best of the best", Pikachu then jumps onto Tracey and hugs him "good to see you two Pikachu". As Pikachu jumps onto the ground the takes a whiff and smells something really pungent and the smell was so strong even Ash and Tracey smelt it as well "what's that awful odour" Tracey said while holding his nose and so did Ash "it stinks…huh…over this way" Ash managed to get a whiff of the smell and figured where it was coming from.
As they head towards the foul odour they find the lake completely dirty and green with think sludge and discarded junk floating in it, Tracey then states, "this is the lake where Suicune's supposed to be" and Ash asks, "how did it get like this wasn't Suicune supposed to have cleaned up the water". They then hear voices commanding Pokémon to use their attacks so they look over too see four men along with a Muk, Weezing, Trubbish and Garbodor using poison type attacks into the lake along with a water truck dumping sewage into the lake and a dump truck unloading trash into it. The boys don't like what they see "what are they doing" Ash asks and Tracey says, "they look like rough characters we should contact Officer Jenny" Tracey tries grabbing his phone but Ash without hesitation runs in making Tracey go after him "wait Ash". While the men were snickering at what they were doing Ash runs in mad at what they're doing "KNOCK IT OFF" he yells in frustration and one of them men demands to know "and who do you think you are" Tracey tries catching up and worries what Ash has done "oh man this is not good", one of the men tries getting rid of them "get out of here now, get em Trubbish" Trubbish launches countless Sludge Bombs at Pikachu but he dodges them and retaliates with Iron Tail which lands a direct hit, outraged by this one of the hunters says "don't make us angry". Tracey then tries assisting Ash "that's enough Scyther I need you buddy" Ash was happy to see Scyther again "long time no see Scyther" Scyther was also happy to see Ash again but Tracey was a little annoyed by this usual recklessness "still biting off more than you can chew huh" but Ash says, "I can't let this go on". One of the other men says "you wanna fight…" but he was interrupted by another deep voice "hey you don't have time to go playin' with kids" the men look over to see another man wearing a grey jumpsuit, a white hard hat and had a bushy Mustache in which they become surprised and say "BOSS". The boss of the crew calmly walks up and simply states "it's arrived".
Suddenly there's a strong gust of wind and on the other side of the lake was none other than Suicune who let's out a screaming howl which manages to turn the water clean again, Ash was really excited to see the legendary Pokémon "it really is Suicune" and Tracey tells him "I told you I saw him". Suicune runs across the water and jumps onto of the water truck then howls at the men while looking really mad at what the men keep doing to the lake which makes them scared while the boss states "you sure do have spirit but I think it's about time that spirit took a break I'm not letting you escape this time" Suicune becomes very angry with them, Ash then realises "so those are Pokémon hunters" and Tracey adds on "I get it so they're trying to weaken Suicune and then catch it, but to find it they dirty the lake knowing it'll come" now that Suicune was here the boss demands him men "ALL RIGHT TAKE CARE OF THIS". The three of the hunters have their Pokémon attack Suicune with Sludge Bomb while another goes after Ash and Tracey "you won't get in our way all right Garbodor use Sludge Bomb" Garbodor keeps shooting sludge bombs at Pikachu and Scyther to keep them away from Suicune, and now there's nowhere for the two to go in order to help Suicune without being taken out.
Now badly damaged and even being roped Suicune musters all its strength and let's off a really loud roar that could be heard for miles, then a different but also loud roar can be heard coming from the forest and one hunter questions "what the what could be", large and heavy footsteps could be heard rapidly approaching and all of a sudden an angry rampaging Tyranitar comes charging out the forest and roars at everyone. The Tyranitar first shot a Hyper Beam at the Hunters and their Pokémon and even punched, kicked and threw them to the side which also allowed Suicune break free of their restraints and get to safety, then it grabbed the pipe dumping all the sewage into the lake and aimed at the hunters drenching them in sewage, next it shoved and jammed the pipe into the water truck preventing from leaking anymore fluids and then using it's strength it tipped it over and did the same with the dump truck. Ash was amazed and grateful for what Tyranitar did "ash Tyranitar you were awesome" Tyranitar looks at Ash and they both get a good look at each other like they had already met "wait do I know you…" Ash became interrupted by the boss of the hunters who really wasn't happy now "I don't appreciate someone who comes in and foils a catch so it looks like we're gonna have to teach you some manners then and some rules too" Tracey frustratedly says "oh give me a break you were doing bad stuff" the boss angrily glares at him "it's our job, and that's just the way we roll" the rest of the hunters and their Pokémon then stand ready for another battle and the boss continues "when we want something we get it one way or another". Tyranitar was now very angry with these men and used Sandstorm making it hard for the hunters to see anything, using this as a distraction Tyranitar grabs Ash, Tracy, Pikachu and Scyther and makes a run for it.
After getting far away enough Tyranitar takes them all too this tall and twisted tree and sets them all down although they're all a bit dizzy after that little ride they took "next time we should take bikes to make a getaway" Ash then once again thanks Tyranitar for what it did "thanks for getting us out of there…I swear we've met before" Pikachu then took the time and realised who this was and in joy he jumped into it's arms and both were happy to see eachother "they defiantly know eachother, it's clear you've also met this guy Ash" Tracy stated, Ash then started having flashbacks to his travelling days in Johto of when he used to carry a Pokémon egg and then it hatched into a Larvitar. It then suddenly all made sense to Ash "Larvitar is that you buddy" Tyranitar happily smiles and nuzzles his snout against Ash's hat and Ash was so happy to see his old friend "it is you buddy" they were so happy to see eachother that they hugged and Tracey questioned "wait a minute Ash is this the little Larvitar that travelled with you, Brock and Misty back then" Ash answered, "you bet but the last time I saw it was still so small looks like you evolved". Just then they heard Suicune's roar again and it was coming from the tree "wait is Suicune in there" Tracey asked and Tyranitar walked up to it and waved them over to come.
As they all climbed up the tree when Ash got to the top he was almost knocked off by a Pidgey but when they all got to the top they saw that a bunch of little forest dwelling Pokémon were gathered around a very wounded Suicune "they're protecting Suicune" Ash says confused but Tracey theorises "of course Suicune's trying to purify the lake water so they'll be able to keep living here". Tyranitar grabs some berries and gives it Suicune to help get his strength back and Ash asks "Tyranitar have you been helping Suicune to try and get rid of the hunters" Tyranitar nods while trying to care for its friend Ash then asks, "Tracey what are we going to do" Tracey responds, "we'll have to let Suicune heal on its own because we can't risk taking it to a Pokémon Centre with those hunters" but Ash retorts "but are these berries going to be enough" Tracey answers "no but I can take care of that". Tracey sends out a Venomoth in which Ash is happy to see "wow did you're Venonat evolve" and Tracey replies "yep it's been really useful to me lately now Venomoth and Scyther patrol the skies and keep a look out for the hunters, Ash come with me" they got it and headed out while Ash and Tracey climbs down the tree and ventures back into the forest.
Soon enough they return with an entire bag full of berries for Suicune to eat "here eat them all up and soon enough you'll be back to full health and they should also help with the poison" Ash happily says and Suicune happily eats the fruit while the other Pokémon huddle around them thanking them for their efforts in which Tracey tells them "hey no need to thank me just happy to help" he says, Ash then notices Tyranitar looking into the forest looking concerned "you're worried about the hunters aren't you" Tyranitar rolls it's eye down knowing Ash is right but Ash tells him "don't worry I promise you we'll be ready for them".
Meanwhile by the lake the boss and two hunters were looking over it until the other two arrive informing them "boss we found out where they're hiding" the boss gets up and says, "is that right, we were just taken for a bunch of fools and there's no way we're gonna let that stand", one of the hunters "so how exactly are we going to deal with them especially since they got that crazy strong Tyranitar with them" the boss then answers "you boys handle the kids leave that big lizard to me".
Back at the tree Ash attempts to call Officer Jenny for assistance but they were too far out to get any cell service "no good it won't connect" Ash says, Suicune makes a groaning sound and then they notice that it's back leg is hurt "you're wounded" Tracey comments he tries to help it but Suicune growls at them "I don't think it fully trusts us" Ash says but Tyranitar tries reasoning with it and then Suicune reluctantly allows them to treat him in which Tracey grabs a heal spray "it's okay just let me see" Tracey gently sprays a little on the wound but Suicune feels great pain "did it sting you I'm sorry about that, but I'm glad I brought this" Tracey then wraps a bandage around the leg and says "okay that should do it". Ash then says "don't worry Suicune you'll feel better real soon before you know it" as everything seemed to be calming down now Scyther and Venomoth returned in which Tracey and Ash knew the hunters were coming "guess they're here" they both say.
The hunters arrive at the tree and laugh evilly and the boss commented "so this is where they've been hiding out, let's draw them out" one of the hunters has their Muk attack the tree with Sludge Bomb but before it could react Scyther immediately strikes Muk with Quick Attack and then Pikachu struck a Thunderbolt at Garbodor, Tyranitar then gets into the action by using Rock Tomb and hurling a bunch of giant rocks at Weezing and Trubbish badly damaging them as well. Ash then gloats thinking he has the upper hand "you guys should give up we have the advantage here" Tracey agrees "yeah poison types don't exactly do well against a 6-ton rock type do they" Tyranitar crackles it's knuckles and then growls angrily; the hunters were intimidated by this however the boss showed no fear and says, "so what I don't care go get em". One hunter has Trubbish use pound but Tyranitar strikes it hard with Thunder Punch knocking it way back making the other hunters worry, Ash then rants "just face it we have the advantage so go home". The boss grew tired of this and took matters into his own hands "feeling a little cocky aren't we, go Hippowdon and use Earth Power" a Hippowdon is then released and uses Earth Power which does some real damage to Tyranitar almost knocking it making Ash worried "OH NO TYRANITAR", the Hunter then states how smart he is "you really thought we only had Poison types, the tide has turned hasn't it a rock type don't exactly do well against a 7-ton ground type do they".
Ash and Tracey try helping Tyranitar up but while they were dealing with the boss the hunters had netted Suicune and forced it out the tree and as it struggled they kicked it so it would stop squirming, this made Ash and Tracey "NO STOP" Ash screamed but then Garbodor and Muk grabbed them and Tracey yelled "YOU'VE GOT TO STOP…" Pikachu, Scyther, Venomoth and the rest of the Pokémon were also being netted by the other hunters "PLEASE STOP" Ash begs but they don't listen. Tyranitar tries helping but Hippowdon uses take down and forces him to the ground and then pins it into the ground, Tyranitar looked over to see all its friends in great trouble and looked back at the boss who laughed maniacally and then it started to get flashbacks from when it was an egg and it's mother being attacked by three poacher brothers. Tyranitar then mustered all the strength it had lifted Hippowdon off it's back and tossed it at the boss who scaredly jumped out the way, it then charged both it's fists with Thunder Punch and struck both Muk and Garbodor at the same time freeing Ash and Tracey from them, Weezing and Trubbish run in to attack but Tyranitar whirled its tail and knocked them both away. It was about to turn it's rage to the hunters who were almost about to give in but the boss decided to end things here and yelled "WE'RE FINISHING THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL" Hippowdon used Sand Attack and launched a gust of sand at Tyranitar's eyes almost blinding him and making him fall to his knees, Ash tried helping but Tracey held him back not wanting him to get hurt. As Hippowdon was about to make the final blow Suicune grew mad itself and channelled all it's strength and energy and broke out the netting and blasted Hippowdon with a really powerful Hydropump knocking him back hard. Tracey freed the Pokémon from the netting while Ash was helping Tyranitar but he did ask "Suicune we help our friends do you think you handle these guys on you own" Suicune nods and rushes in, it used Hydro Pump on all the hunters Pokémon and knocked them all out and so only one left was the boss' Hippowdon who charged in with Take Down but Suicune used Ice Beam and froze Hippowdon in a huge block of ice.
The boss and his men try running away but Suicune leaps over them and blocks their path while looking really angry with them, the men all huddled together and cowered to Suicune who was charging up a powerful Ice Beam and then froze them all together in a huge ball of ice. Everyone else came running up to see what happened and they were overjoyed and Tracey said, "alright let's try and call Officer Jenny again to clean up this whole mess".
A little while later Officer Jenny arrived with a large police van to take the men away, she rolls them all into the van and then thanks the boys for what they did "thanks so much your help was invaluable this malicious band of Pokémon hunters has been on our most-wanted list, I'll take it from here" the boys then tanked Jenny "thank you Officer", Jenny then locked the door and took off.
Later Ash and Tracey were about to go their separate ways again "it nice seeing you again Tracey good luck in your travels" and Tracey replied "you sure don't change Ash I'll give you that and good luck in the World Coronation Series I guarantee you'll be making it to the Masters 8" they shake hands but then notice Tyranitar, Suicune and the forest Pokémon approach them. Tracey then told Suicune "don't worry those men won't be back anytime soon this forest will remain clean from now on" Suicune then nuzzles it's snout against Tracy making him giggle, Ash and Pikachu where then saying it's goodbyes to Tyranitar "it was nice to see you again and I'm proud of how much you've grown and how strong you've gotten" Tyranitar becomes a little sad knowing Ash was about to leave again but it then looked over to Suicune who nodded it's head at him. Ash became a little confused for a sec "hey wait what's going on" but Tracey explained "I think saying Tyranitar can go back home with you" hearing this made Ash filled with joy and asked "what do you say Tyranitar you wanna come with me" Tyranitar happily smiled showing it did so Ash grabbed a poke ball a threw it "go poke ball" as it hit Tyranitar it absorbed him into the poke ball and then the ball flashed a few stars and Ash's phone chimed saying "Tyranitar has been registered to your Pokedex" Tyranitar then came out and hugged Ash and Pikachu hard knowing they'd be together again.
Ash and Tracey's reunion has done a lot of good here today, a group of evil Pokémon hunters has been captured, the lake waters has been restored, Suicune has been saved, and an old friendship has been restored as the journey continues.
