A slow sigh escaped Clarks lips as the water from the shower washed over him, the last of the soot from the fires he started washed off. The stall that was attached to his room filled with steam as the hot water continued to pour, Clark looked up, his eyes wide open as the water hit them. Not that he felt it of course, the water doing nothing to irritate him.

Reached up to the hollow graphic button that switched it off, turning around he grabbed a towel and walked out of the stall into his cabin. It's been an hour since he arrived back from the heist and ten minutes since the Normandy had entered FTL and headed back towards the Mass Relay next to the Citadel. Walking past the terminal he caught sight of a couple of unread emails that were waiting for him.

He had a feeling about what they may be and who from. Closing his eyes with a scowl Clark raised his fist as if he was about to punch the wall but stopped himself, settling for slowly placing it on the hard, cold metal service. He shouldn't have let his anger get the better of him like that "show me again EDI" he said out loud.

'Understood, Mr Kent' the AI said as the screen of the terminal lit up with the video that the probe recorded. He looked at the recording and did the maths in his head, all of the signs, how many people where there, their own connections, how many where human. He calculated a seventy six percent chance that they'll figure out who was responsible for what happened and try and find him.

This was not the plan, why did he have to do that. He's a hundred and ninety-three, he's an unstoppable force of nature that can knock a planet out of its orbit. He shouldn't be so easy to piss off, he should be better than that, he moved on from the past, he has a responsi...

His train of thought stopped before he could continue that line of thought, he doesn't have a responsibility, not anymore. That was something he used to have to people, a responsibility to never let himself lose control like that, always taking care not to break something, to break someone, never allowing himself to lose control, otherwise people could die.

But that was so long ago now, he didn't have anyone to care for anymore. The sound of the door chimed indicating that someone was knocking on the door "come in" he said out loud, he guessed that EDI had some systems stationed inside the cabin that paid attention to what was happening without her actively being there... well, being there in the way an AI could be somewhere.

The door opened and he glanced at the entrance as Miranda walked in holding a data pad. Before she could even say a word, she stopped walking mid stride. Clark could tell she was looking but he had to give her credit, she was doing a very good job at hiding her initial reaction. It's been a while since he's been so exposed in front of a woman and there was so little of a reaction "shall I come back another time?" she asked. Clark looked down at the towel around his waist for a moment before he let out a sigh and then he moved. He moved quick, there was barely a gust of wind before he was back in the same position as before but this time, he was now completely dry and wearing a full set of clothes.

The only indicator something happened was when that small gust hit Miranda and her hair was pushed backwards slightly before calmly setting back into the spot behind her ear. She opened her mouth to say something but stopped for a moment as she seemed to consider what it was she was going to say "where you just naked in front of me?" she asked.

"yes" Clark said back quickly, still not really in the mood for tact "what do you want Miranda?" he asked turning around and making his way to the couch and faced the empty fish tank, he really should get some fish at some point.

"I need to talk to you about some things" she said walking further in, the door closing behind her "the first is that Kasumi wants to talk to you about the grey box recovery"

"What else is there?" Clark added "EDI's broken through the encryption right?" he asked.

"yes" Miranda nodded "she has the data she was looking for but she still wants to talk to you, I think she wants advice about something"

"fair enough" Clark calmly added making a mental note to speak to that thief later "what else?" he added.

"a recording showing what happened to Hawk's mansion has been leaked, we don't know where it came from, but it's spreading quickly. People are making the connection and..." she sighed before tapping something on the data pad she was holding and handing it to Clark "and 'Superman's back' has begun trending on a lot of different media outlets" Clark suppressed a sigh as he looked down at the many different comments "I spoke to EDI and based on what's already happened with the Quarian's and the Omega gangs. It won't be long until the normal everyday people start to realise you might be real" she added placing her hands behind her back, with her head the ground like she was some student that was telling a teacher that she was going to be late turning in homework.

"anything else?" Clark asked as his mind started to go over all the different ways this could blow over and how long that would take to happen.

"Aria T'loak has sent you a new message" Miranda added noticing the tense look on his face but tried to ignore it "seems she did what you instructed and has figured out who you are. She wants you to go back to Omega as soon as you can"

Clark stood up and made his way to the terminal "should I really be surprised you read my messages?" he asked, not really caring.

Miranda walked up behind him as he opened his messages "I would be surprised if you were" she added. Clark ignored her for a moment and looked at the message that was sent.

From Aria T'loak

To Clark Kent

Well, I did my research, I never thought you were real. Thought it was impossible for someone that powerful to not do whatever the fuck they want. Guess that explains why you where such a good fuck. The news about what you did to those gangsters is spreading and some idiot in my service decided to talk about you (he's now dead by the way, you're welcome) So now people know you don't apparently age or at least do it slowly compared to other humans and look the exact some as in those old human vids.

Regardless, come back to Omega. I want to talk to you about a business proposal of mine. If you have concerns, I don't care. After you decided to, how do the humans say it 'hit it and quit it' I think you owe me.

Get your ass over here.

Clark sighed as he leaned back in the chair at the desk as he read the message and thought about what was being said, that was just great. Now he had all of Omega to worry about. Well, he said worry, he's never really cared about that station before and he's got no reason to care now. But Aria as a ridiculous amount of influence with the Terminus systems, having her as an enemy would be an annoyance.

"I have to ask, how did you end up sleeping with the self-proclaimed 'Queen' of Omega?" Miranda asked as she walked forward until she stood right next to where Clark sat, then she turned around and leaned backwards against the desk next to the terminal, looking down at the captain of the ship "even I would have trouble with that one and you were only in there for a half hour"

Clark looked up towards his second in command "it's very easy" he said leaning for and typing in a response.

From Clark Kent

To Aria T'loak

I'll come by if I have to time but I have a tight schedule. And for the record, I already do whatever I want. You're proof of that.

"and I don't mean that in an arrogant sense" he said as he sent the message and leaned back in the chair again, looking into her eyes "every species has this sense of looking for a strong mate to have the best possible offspring, even humans" He explained "but the Asari have this sixth sense, more than any other species out there. When they tell others about how their aura, they mean it literally and they use that to decide on a mate. It's why you usually see Asari with every other species apart from themselves because they already have those Asari genes so they want to mix it up with stronger ones that they don't have" he stood up and pushed the chair back in underneath the desk before moving towards the door.

"and what?" Miranda asked following him out of the cabin and into the small section that was between it and the elevator, barely glancing at the large, hundreds of years old statue that sat casually in the corner "They can tell you have strong genes so they can't help but sleep with you?" she asked as the two stepped into the elevator.

"no" Clark said "well yeah but that's just very over simplified. It's a little bit more complicated than that" he added as he pressed a button to the crew deck.

"how do you know this?" Miranda asked "did you figure it out on your own or did you have to ask?" she asked him, generally curious.

Clark glanced at her for a moment before answering "I would have figured it out eventually but no, I did have help to work this out" he admitted "when humanity first made contact with the Citadel and I didn't waste any time getting out there and interacting with them, learning their culture, language, whatever I could really. I didn't want to suddenly land myself on a place like Thessia or Illum immediately because that is just too high profile to soon and this was back before any human had officially made their way onto another species planet. So, I decided to make my way to one of their frontier colonies, when I got there, I met a powerful matriarch who... well I guess you could say we had a relationship of sorts, it was during that time that she described why she who moved on from the casual carefree lifestyle hundreds of years ago seemed to be unable to help herself when around me" he spoke as the doors opened and two stepped out "EDI, tell joker to set a course for Korlus, time we get that Krogan Warlord on bored" he said out loud.

"Understood sir" The AI said back.

He didn't wait for Miranda to follow him but judging by the sound of her footsteps she headed back to her office. Clark continued down the path towards one of the two observation lounges, upon entering he saw Kasumi sitting calmly on one of the couches her legs pulled up to her chest as she held the grey box in her hand "Hey Clark" she said calmly, not taking her eyes off the device.

"hey" he walked forward "Miranda said you wanted to see me" he added taking a seat next to her.

"she tell you that in your cabin" she asked as she looked up and gave a slight smile "after I assume you spent some time reminding her why you're better then Hawk"

Clark gave her a slanted smirk "no" he answered "it's not like that" he said.

"oh" her shoulders slumped "seems I just lost a bet, normally I would just cheat and spy on you but I have a feeling that wouldn't work very well" she admitted.

"Not on me, no" Clark said back with a small amused tone "what did you want to talk to me about?" he asked.

The smile left her face as she looked back down to the grey box "EDI broke through the encryption, I've been looking at the data inside. Turns out Hawk wanted this because it has some incriminating data about a couple of high-ranking alliance members" she explained.

"well, that's good" Clark nodded "so you deleted it?" he asked but based on her body langue he knew the answer.

She looked down and Clark could see her eyes start to water "I can't" she said "Keiji, my partner. He encoded all the data to mix in with everything that's one here. All of the memories, all of our time together, I'd have to get rid of all of it in order to do that" Clark nodded slowly, understanding why she would be hesitant "Keiji, he was all I've had for so long. I can't just give that up, he was the only one for me, I don't want to forget what it was like to be with him" she looked down to the device.

"Kasumi" Clark said scooting forward sitting normal way while she had her feet up as she sat sideways "destroy it" he said. She didn't say anything immediately, just stared at him but slowly she began to break down even more. The first tear dropped down her cheek and all she could do is shake her head before turning back to the box "you know" Clark started as he looked forward and slumped his shoulders "people love to make theories about me, what I can do, how it works, make a list of crazy abilities I find myself laughing at. One of them was that I could shoot another version of myself out of my hand" he stopped as he laughed remembering the moment, he read about that "but what people never seem to think is what I have right here" he lifted his figure and tapped his head a couple of times "I remember everything, I mean that literally. Eidetic memory, photographic memory, perfect memory recall" he listed before looking down and sighing.

"That is my curse" he didn't turn his head, but he knew Kasumi turned his head and looked up at him "my mind is an organic grey box but a much more advanced one. I don't even have to close my eyes anymore, I just reach out" he lifted his right hand and reached outwards "and there she is" a small smile arrived on his face "I can feel her skin pressed against mine, that small scar on her lower back, the smoothness of her hair" there was a moment of silence before he continued "but it's not just that, it's everything. I can't choose what I remember and what I don't, it's like someone else flipping a switch" the smile dropped and from an outside view, his eyes adopted a dead glaze "I can feel her skin flake off her body, hear her lungs fill with her own blood, feel her heart struggling to beat until finally stopping" his hand slowly fell, and he turned to face Kasumi "Trust me on this. Let him rest in piece"

Kasumi didn't say anything at first, she just sat there in complete silence contemplating what she was just told. Clark didn't say anything, he just sat there and let her decide, he wouldn't force the choice on her, if she wanted to keep it then that was up to her. Kasumi looked down to the device before closing her eyes, bringing it forward she placed a gentle kiss on it before handing it to him. Clark took one look at her before taking the box, grabbing it with his right hand, he held it in front of him as his eyes began to glow with a red hue. Being honest she couldn't help but be amazed by what she saw as two red beams slowly left Clarks eyes and landed on the grey box. As soon as it did the device started to turn white as it heated up, then it simply melted in his hand and dropped to the floor in a pile of hot goo.

"So, there's this guy who seems to have the power of a god. At least compared to all of us, does everything he can to make your world a better place. From what I've been told did a very good job, so good in fact that for a small period he was worshipped as some new god before he came and told you to stop. Does this for around fifth-teen years, saves the whole world at least a dozen times either from a naturel disaster or yourselves but his number one arch enemy was a businessman?"

"yeah, that about sums it up" Jacob said back answering Garrus's question as the two sat opposite each other on one of the tables in the middle of the crew deck.

Given the time of day or at least the day night cycle on the ship, it was the general lunch time. At least for those who don't have essential jobs on the ship that take precedent at the moment and would wait for someone to replace them for the shift. So, the tables were mostly full. Which led to Garrus sitting next to Jacob discussing the most pressing thing that was plaguing the Turians mind.

Superman.

"but if this supposed all powerful being says this guy is bad, why wasn't he arrested?" he asked.

Jacob waited for a moment before responding "I have no idea, it was before my time but from what I've seen it was a matter of no evidence and apparently Superman's word wasn't enough" he answered.

"It was more than that" another voice spoke. Jacob looked over his shoulder to see the Yeomen making her way over towards them "it was more along the lines of the one being blamed, Lex Luther was good at manipulating the masses and used the fear and paranoia people had to turn them against him" she said sitting down next to Jacob with her tray of food "though he was arrested eventually" she continued "that didn't stop him from planning from behind bars, which led to the bomb being planted at the Daily Planet and we know how that ended" she finished.

"And he just didn't come back at all?" Garrus asked. While he did know about Superman, like most of the galaxy he never took the character seriously, assuming he wasn't even real. Since he re-joined the Normandy he's done some research but there aren't that many hard facts about the alien. It was all superstition and conjecture, nothing reliable or that could be trusted.

"Not once" Jacob answered with a head shake "he just showed up, killed Luther and left. There wasn't one confirmed documented appearance after that" he said.

"It's amazing" Kelly said "for someone who did so much for humanity, to just turn their back on it without hesitation. I'd love to see inside his mind" he muttered.

"Not completely surprising or true for that matter" the voice of Mordin spoke as he joined the table and sat next to Garrus.

"What do you mean Doctor" Kelly asked, wondering what he meant.

"Please miss Chambers, formalities not needed. Crew mates now" Mordin said as he began to pick at his food.

Kelly smiled brightly at the Salarian "ok Mordin but if that's the case then you have to call me Kelly. But what do you mean?" she asked again.

"While there may be no documented sightings of Superman, he did not completely disappear" he informed "while never involved in mission to locate Superman myself, work with the Genophage earned me a high level of clearance, used that to see reports shadow teams had on the 'S.L' Project" he said.

"S.L?" Jacob asked "what does that stand for?"

"Superman Location" Mordin answered.

Garrus couldn't help but chuckle at that "very original" he mumbled, and the others couldn't help but agree.

"True, didn't name it myself, would have chosen something more memorable if that was the case" he added taking in a mouthful of food "perhaps 'omni-power' 'God locator' 'Project Krypton' make it flashy or catchy, either is good. Point being, the STG started looking for Clark Kent when it became clear that he was real, that being when all the data that humanity had on him was too much to ignore. One of the primary methods of finding his trail was looking for the signs of hero work" as he spoke it became clear that almost everyone was listening to what he was saying.

"wait" Garrus said turning to look at the doctor "hero work? As in him helping people? I thought he gave that up" he said turning to look at the two humans who he was just talking to.

"Superman gave that up" Mordin said before either Kelly or Jacob could answer "seems emotional attachment to people, not so easily broken, 'S.L' found at least two hundred and thirty-seven different instances of someone, human and alien being saved by an unknown force from a potential life-threatening situation. Used that for bread crumb trail, came close a number of times, must remember to message Shadow team soon, would very much like to know that I have found Superman"

"I would advise against that Mordin" another new voice said and the heads turned to see Miranda approach with a small cup of what the aliens guessed was coffee "while it does seem likely that Clarks secret is about to become all but public very soon, it would be best if you don't go and tell your government where he is" she added sitting down on the other side of the scientist.

"hhhmmm" Mordin said seeming to consider what he was told "perhaps best to not say, would hound me considerably for information, distract from work, can't afford distractions, work proven difficult" he concluded.

"how's that going anyway?" Jacob asked as he took a final bite of his egg "we won't be able to do anything against the collectors if those swarms get us" he added.

"as I said, proving difficult" Mordin said back calmly "first plan was to find a way to protect squad mates from possible swarm attack, would have been simple but Captain said we should do more" it wasn't hard to tell that everyone's attention became more focused on him as he mentioned Clark "claimed we should do more, now working on a way to knock out all seekers and revive anyone that have been effected"

"That sounds difficult" Kelly said casually.

"difficult" Miranda said back with reside eyebrows "that's next to impossible, if we had a couple of years to study the data and come up with an idea of how to do it and then develop the tech to use" she turned to face the scientist "how far along are you with something we can use?" she asked.

"unsure" Mordin spoke after a moment of hesitation "have been working hard but truthfully, play role of assistant, unable to work the long hours Clark does" he added calmly taking in some more of his dextro-aminic food "from what I've been able to piece together based on what he has me working on, he plans to use a modified EMP burst" he explained.

"wouldn't that also affect us?" Garrus said finishing his meal "wait" he interrupted himself "what do you mean you can't work the long hours?" he asked.

"truly amazed" Mordin said "never considered he would simply not require basic necessity's we all don't think about. He's there when I arrive and still there when I leave. Even now, everyone here, eating, not him, never seen him partake in anything others need for survival" he explained, and others were paying attention.

There was silence around the table for a moment as everyone thought about what was being said "how long have you all been on this mission so far? before Mordin and myself came aboard?" Garrus asked.

Miranda's brows knitted for a moment as she thought about it "it's been six days since the ship was launched, I and Jacob where with him two days before that" she answered.

"give or take" Jacob added.

Garrus was silent for a moment as he continued his train of thought "err... EDI" Garrus said aloud, still not used to the idea of an AI that has free range of the ship.

"yes Mr. Vakarian" the voice of said AI filtered "how may I help you?" it asked.

"Has Clark eaten anything since he's been aboard?" he asked.

"no" she said back over the com "as far as I am aware Mr Kent has not consumed any food or water since embarking the ship, he has also not slept either" she informed.

The table seemed to ponder that for a moment before responding "hhmm, most curious. Not feasible, anyone of sufficient size and mass must need fuel source in order to survive, as well as rest for the brain to 'recharge' for lack of better term" he listed off, his mind no doubt trying to understand how something like this may be possible.

"Maybe it has something to do with his power source" Kelly of all people theorized "I mean, let's be honest he is the impossible. After what we've seen him do, is him not eating anything really that out there" she added.

When she mentioned a source for power, Miranda couldn't help but wonder "Mordin" she said getting the doctors attention "I'm finding myself curious, what did the STG theorise about how Clark gets his power?" she asked.

The doctor was quite for a moment as he thought about what to say "Unkown" he answered "while given clearance on project S.L, not all data was made available. Though, many different theories present" he said.

Everyone seemed to ponder that for a moment before anyone else could say something to add, the topic of the conversation entered the room. All heads turned to face him but if he cared then he didn't show it, he stopped at the front of the table "Hey Garrus, you got any experience leading?" he asked calmly at the front of table.

Garrus was quite for a moment before responding "some, nothing like in the front lines of war but I know how to lead in a firefight" he answered.

"good" he smiled back "we're heading to Korlus next, I want you to lead the team down there and see if you can convince the Krogan to join up" he added "think you can handle that?" he asked.

Garrus did a double take on that before responding "you're not coming down yourself?" he asked.

"no" Clark said quickly "it's not my place to hold your hand through all of this. I need to work on the counter measure for the seekers, with Mordins help we'll have it done in a five days and seven hours" he added casually.

"hhmm" Mordin said as he activated his omni-tool "must have found method that would have the desired results, will head up to continue work momentarily, looking forward to talking more about Kryptonain society" he added noticeably eating faster then before.

"not this time. I think this time we should talk about you" he added before turning to look at Garrus "so, you up for it?" he asked. Garrus was quite for a moment as he considered what he was being asked to do, Clark just looked at him calmly before nodding "Great" he smiled before turning to leave.

This might just be the most tense moment in his career, ever since David Anderson took the post of the human councilor two years ago. True it was quite bad when the news of the Normandy's destruction and Shepards death reached them, that argument about what to do about it had been quite severe and created a large amount of tension, in fact the council has only just recently moved on from that.

But even with that, this was the tensest this room has ever felt to Anderson. Himself and the rest of the council where not in the large open amphitheater that they would use for public addresses. Now they were in the smaller but just has professional conference room that they used when the situation called for it, which wasn't that often as most would thing, as situations called for a smaller one on one meeting between two councilors which was usually done over a holo-call. It was rare for a situation to demand the presence of all councilors.

As Anderson sat down on his side of the four-sided table, each of the other councilors Tevos, Eistan and Sparatus, taking their own seats as well. Each seat in question was equipped with a terminal that had top level security, so they could share files, reports, footage, etc. There was very little conversation between the four as they all arrived, only polite greetings. Anderson found himself very curious as to what brought them here, but he quickly found out that it was only Eistan who knew as he was the one who called the meeting.

When the answer was delivered in the form of video footage that was shown on each of the computer terminals. This was the culprit of the tense situation, once the footage was complete. There was the silence, nobody said anything to each other for a good five minutes. Each of the councilors typing quickly on their terminals, no doubt reaching out to their agents and contacts, seeing if they can get more information on the subject.

Anderson meanwhile did none of that, he simply restarted to footage and watched it again. The footage was from a camera that was stationed groundside that spied into the mansion of Donovan Hawk. A well-connected leader of organized crime that had recently taken notice of the council when it was leaked that he came into possession of a grey box that held citadel secrets. Though it was never expected that this was the footage that it would get, pausing the video halfway through, just before the mansion was reduced to rubble. From the angle it was positioned, once it was zoomed in and enhanced, it was clear as day. It couldn't be ignored, that was man flying with a large statue over his shoulder and stone pillars under his arm.

"is there any way we can stop it from spreading?" Sparatus, the Turian councilor asked the other three.

"not based on this" Tevos, the Asari councilor spoke as she typed more on her terminal, her screen being shared with the others. Allowing all to see the public response to the news and the many different videos from the ground floor and the social media outlets "if we're lucky we may be able to contain and discredit it, claim it all nonsense but let's face reality, that should not be our primary concern"

"no" Anderson said "no, it should not" he shook his head.

"Do we know why he has returned?" Sparatus asked, though it may have seemed he was speaking out loud, when the other they all turned to face him, it was clear the question was directed at him.

"I don't know why you're all looking at me?" he said back calmly "I know as much about this as you do"

"If we're not careful, this can turn into a major incident" Eistan spoke "the last thing the citadel needs is an unknown alien of god like power wondering around" he explained.

"It was fine when he seemed to be in the shadows" Sparatus spoke calmly "at least that way he didn't interfere but he's never been this active before" Anderson couldn't help but agree, Superman has been completely docile for decades.

If it wasn't for the councils' special forces such as the Asari commandos, Turian shadow teams, the Salarian STG and of course the Specters. Even the council would start to doubt his existence or at least continued existence as they well could have believed he had died ages ago. They've never caught him of course but they've found evidence in both in eyewitness statements of the agents and camera footage, the council and by extension, the higher levels of all governments had no choice but to acknowledge his existence. The only thing that stopped a full galaxy wide hunt for him was the fear that they all had of him, even to this day they had no knowledge of a weakness they could use against him. The vast stores of the earth famous Kryptonite seemed to have dried up around the same time Superman disappeared.

"There is something that could be connected" Tevos spoke "though I hope it isn't" the others turned to face her as she typed in her terminal. The screens of the other terminals lit up and they could see what she was doing "an hour before the attack, a ship was recorded docking with the planets primary space port, a large alliance designed frigate, it's callsign 'Normandy SR2'"

Anderson looked down at the screen and saw an image of very familiar ship docked into a space port. Though he was surprised by that, what really got him was the logo painted on the back of the ship "that's a Cerberus insignia" he said.

"Why would an alien like Clark Kent be working with human supremacists?" Sparatus asked aloud.

"What are the chances of this being just a coincidence?" Anderson asked allowed.

"would normally not be completely unbelievable" Eistan said before he looked down and sighed "but when compared to what recently happened on Omega, becomes none existent" he added.

"what's happened on Omega?" Tevos asked turning to face her colleague.

"Spectre Bau, who was stationed on Omega to keep an eye out for large criminal operations. Recently got intel surrounding an odd occurrence" he started to explain "as some of you may not know Omega recently became home to a Turian vigilantly by the name of Archangel. Who Bau admits did good work culling the mercenary gangs on the station, however when he was almost overwhelmed by a combined assault of the Blue Sons, Eclipse and Blood Pack, he vanished. Bau however was able to find this footage" he typed on his terminal and Anderson looked down and saw the inside of some building that was being flooded with Mercs.

As the video played Anderson could see the man who entered the building have no problem getting past them all, while the video played Anderson started to type and started a facial recognition program and marked it specifically for the face of Clark Kent. It only took a moment before it came back '97% match' it said as a picture of the two was placed side by side.

"it is also states in this report that a ship also docked with station around the same time" he continued and the screens showed the same ship as before, an image of alliance designed frigate with the words 'Normandy SR2' on the side "it was also around this time that Bau recorded footage of two humans wearing Cerberus colors approaching a former STG agent Mordin Solus and him leaving with them, on that ship" he spoke calmly while all others listened.

"he's recruiting?" Sparatus guessed as eh scratched his chin.

"what could someone like Mr Kent possibly be recruiting for?" Tevos asked back calmly.

"that's what will need to find out" Anderson spoke as the others turned to face him "we've never been able to find him before but now we have somewhere to look" he said.

"the ship" Eistan finished "it's the only lead we have, find the ship and we may find him"

"we'll send word out" Sparatus said "put everyone on alert for a ship of this design and title. If Mr Kent wants to start making noise, then he'll do it under our conditions"

"agreed" Tevos said back quickly nodding "I'll forward what we have to Spectre Visar, she's one of the best trackers we have. If we have anyone hunting Kent down specifically, it should be her" she explained.

"I concur" Eistan added and Anderson agreed, Spectre Visar has proven to be an incredible agent and someone that could be trusted with such a mission "what will she do if she finds him?" he asked.

Tevos turned to face Anderson along with the other two councilors "if she does then she'll let Mr. Kent know that the Citadel Council would very much like to speak with him. If he refuses, then we'll discuss methods of forcing him too. No one is above the law, not even him" she explained and everyone else agreed.

As the meeting was ended and Anderson started to make his way back to his office, he couldn't but hope this wouldn't end badly, angering superman is not something the citadel needed at this time.

Clark had a small smile on his face as he looked at the large pod that was being rolled into a room above the cargo hold "sorry about this" Garrus said as he stopped next to him "I'll have a full report written up later" he added.

Clark gave the Turian a sideways glance, for a moment he didn't know why he would right up a report. Despite what others might think Garrus didn't work for him, they just had an agreement to help each other find proof of the Reapers. So when Garrus left for Korlus with Jacob and Kasumi, he didn't think about it too much. It was a good team, and he was confident that they would get the job done. While they did technically fail the mission as the warlord Okeer was killed they didn't leave empty handed as they came back with what was described as the perfect Krogan "don't bother" he said back calmly as the crewmen who placed the tank in room saluted Clark and returned to their stations "I'm sure you did everything you could" he added before stepping forward and stopped in front of the tank "why don't you head back up and get some food" he finished.

"err... right" Garrus nodded "I'll leave you to it" with that the Turian turned and left.

Clark took a moment to get a good luck at the Krogan and he had to admit, the title of perfect Krogan was quite accurate. He won't pretend to be an expert in krogan physiology but as he looked at the krogan's muscle and bone structure, he could tell that he was above average "alright EDI" he said aloud "what can you tell me?"

"The subject is stable Captain. Integration with onboard systems was seamless" the AI spoke.

"good, based on what I can tell so far. He is still unconscious, at least some what" Clark added.

"agreed, current neural patterns indicate minimal cognition"

"any way to tell how intelligent it may be?" he asked "he's fully grown but he hasn't been born yet"

"Okeer's technology could impart data, not methods of thinking. The subject may know of his views, but would not necessarily share them" EDI informed.

"ok, that's not too bad" he as he paced back and forth in front of the tank, thinking of the best thing to do. Its not that he couldn't deal with the Krogan if it turned out to be hostile, it was more along the lines of him wanting the Krogan to be somewhat friendly at least, that was something he could work with, a strong Krogan could easily take over a clan, even if no-one knows who they are or where they came from "ok then, I think it's time to say hello to are new friend"

"Cerberus protocol is very clear when it comes to untested alien technology" EDI said back.

"Good thing I'm not a part of Cerberus then" Clark added calmly.

EDI was quite for a few seconds "very well Captain, the controls are online. The switch and the consequences are yours" she added.

Clark walked forward and activated the tank. There was a humming sound that soon followed, he took a couple of steps back in preparation for what he knew was about to occur. The tank started to be drained of liquid that kept the Krogan at bay, the class front opened and as soon as it did. The large alien fell forward and immediately started to throw up what seemed to be around three and a half pints of the same liquid that filled the tank.

Clark just stood their quietly and let the Krogan deal with it himself and after a moment that's just what happened. The Krogan stood up to full height and towered over the Kryptonian, his eyes seemed to gloss over for a moment before he acted "AAAHHH" he yelled as he charged Clark.

Clark only had time to sigh in annoyance at the action before he reached out. With his one arm he grabbed the Krogan by the neck and lifted him off the ground with ease before he slammed him back into the ground, the sound of metal denting echoed through the room "holy shit!" a voice hit Clarks ears, turning his head as the Krogan tried to regain himself. Looking at the back wall and slightly upwards, he rolled his eyes slightly as he looked through the walls and saw a large gathering of crew members all gathered around the galaxy map.

Well, it was supposed to be a galaxy map but now it showed an image what must have been the feed from a camera. He sighed "EDI, stopping letting everyone eavesdrop on me" he ordered.

"Yes Captain" Edi said.

"aw man" he heard someone moan.

"you" the Krogan said causing Clark to look down at him "you are strong, a worthy opponent. Before we battle, I need a name" he requested.

"I'm Clark Kent and battle is not needed" Clark said back quickly as he let go of the Krogan and took a step back, allowing him to get up.

"not your name, mine" he said standing back up "I am trained, I know things, but the tank... Okeer couldn't implant connection. His words are hollow" he said as Clark continued the stare down "warlord, legacy, grunt... grunt. Grunt, it was among the last. It has no meaning. It'll do. I am Grunt. You are strong, prove that you are worthy of such strength, destroy me in battle"

Clark had to admit, this was unexpected. He's met many different Krogan before and he knows how they act, the Krogan are the most worrier like of any race in the galaxy there is very little respect more than strength. If you could prove that you are strong to a Krogan then it's entirely possible for them to see you as a member of the clan even if it's not official 'hhmm, maybe I could use this' he thought.

"is that what you want Grunt" Clark said as he started to walk around Grunt looking at him up and down, as if assessing him. Something that a clan leader would do when talking to someone young or someone trying to join the clan "an honourable end, warriors death?" he asked as he stopped closer in front of Grunts face hand placed a hand on Grunts chin and tilted his head up something Grunt didn't fight against.

"want" Grunt said as Clark he let go "I do what I am meant to. I fight and reveal the strongest. Nothing in the tank ever asked what I want. I feel nothing for Okeer's clan or his enemies. That imprint failed. He has failed. Without a reason that's mine, one fight is as good as any other and you. You may be the best fight I will ever get" he explained.

"and that's it" Clark took a step back "one minute out of the tank and Okeers perfect Krogan to abandon the mission he was created to uphold" don't get

"Okker is just a voice in the tank" Grunt explained but when Clark starred into his eyes, Grunt lowered his head slightly and avoided direct eye Contant 'a sign of submission' Clark thought to himself as he noticed the indication that Grunt was starting to see Clark as less of an enemy to fight and more of a clan leader "If his imprints are true, then he created something stronger then him. So he's no worthy of me. And if his hatreds aren't strong enough to compel me, they've failed too. I feel nothing, I have no connection" he said.

Clark tilted his head to the side "is that what you want Grunt, a connection? a clan? A place to belong?" Clark asked, there was a silence in the room as Grunt thought about the question "I am strong" Clark continued "but that does not make you weak" he reached up and grabbed the head plate, not in a painful manner but enough to keep the grip firm and allow Grunt to think he was being judged "you wish to prove your strength? You may have your chance, join my crew. We're going after the Collectors, they are a powerful foe, worthy of Krogan strength"

Grunt looked to the ground though this time in concentration "hpmh, that's acceptable. You are strong, a worthy clan leader, I will fight for you and your clan" he said.

Clark smiled "EDI, give Grunt access to the extranet and answer any questions he has. Get him caught up on basic education that is not about fighting, the common knowledge stuff" Clark said as he turned to leave.

"yes sir" EDI said "and please make your way to the conference room, the Illusive man would like to speak with you"

Clark sighed briefly "very well, let's see what T.I.M wants" said as the elevator doors opened.
