Mercedes Swift- Madness Begins D6*F (submitted as Six, moved to Eight, thought I'd move her back)
It had been fifty years since I died. I wandered around the Games Center numbly- I hadn't eaten since I woke up. Nothing made sense. We could bring people back from the dead? More importantly, I'd been gone fifty years? My daddy was dead by now. Every time I thought of it, my stomach went cold. He was gone. Like I'd closed my eyes and opened them and he'd disappeared. Everything I had was gone- my old life, my entire family, our fortune. Did that make me a peasant? Daddy had arranged to leave me everything, of course, but by now that would have been divided up. No one would expect his dead daughter to come back fifty years later. That meant I was just… a peasant.
Unacceptable. I could never be just a common girl. I didn't know how I was going to pull it off, but clearly I had to win the Games. It was the only way to get my life back. Even better, then no one could say I didn't earn it. I'd be even richer than before.
The training room was so crowded. I couldn't believe the peasants just thought they could get in my way clogging up all the good stations. But then, I reminded myself, some of them are kind of cool. Thomas and I had gone through a lot together. We'd been friends, even, before the Arena forced us apart. I wasn't really sure why I went back to save him that one time. Partly I wanted to be a good ally, but if I had to be honest, I also didn't want to be alone. That was how we ended up, though, in the end.
The Careers were also hogging the good stations, though at least they had the skills to merit it. Since I wasn't rich anymore, they'd never let me ally with them. Maybe it was better if I went it alone, though. I wouldn't have to worry about going back for allies. I couldn't get attached to someone if I never allied with anyone.
Eh, I don't need the weapons stations anyway. I already knew enough about katanas to kill a mutt and a Tribute. Also, I didn't like the look Akari kept giving me when I got too close to her practicing. As humiliating as it was, I was poor now, and that meant I couldn't depend on sponsors. I trudged over to the edible plants station and reluctantly started studying.

PRIVATE SESSION REPORTS
In light of the massive number of Tributes this year, the evaluators have divided the Tributes into tiers based on their performances and skills. This will streamline the duties of the gambling evaluators in setting odds and prices.

CHRYSOLITE ASTOR, DISTRICT ONE- Overwhelmed by developments in Career training and Careers looking to eliminate the weakest among them
SHALE BEECHER, DISTRICT TWO- Same as above
WANGARI/KAMAU KARIUKI, DISTRICT TWO- Careers will target both in light of their unbreakable bond. After one perishes, the other will flee
STEVIE PAGETT- Low athletic skills from former life, issues with dependency
TUESDAY ERELLE- DISTRICT TWO- Targeted by stronger Careers
WYATT SPARKS, DISTRICT THREE- Cavalier attitude
JUDE SYLVUS, DISTRICT SEVEN- Errors in cloning process incompatible with survival instincts
STUDY FURUDO- Impulse control difficulties stemming from Borderline Personality Disorder
KEYLOR HERALD, DISTRICT SEVEN- Honestly just because we forgot about him and that probably means there isn't much to him
LILY WHITE, DISTRICT ELEVEN- Past performance
ECHO OSUUCHI, DISTRICT SEVEN- Past performance
SKY LARCH DISTRICT TWELVE*- Sky's heavy support from Beth Crissino will cause resentment from others, who will target her preemptively.
PRISCILLA/MIALL PISCOT, DISTRICT ONE: Targeted preemptively for their sibling bond
VALERIE LENN: The Lenns will be targeted for their sibling bond. Valerie will protect Jason but Jason will not protect Valerie, resulting in her death
SOREN LYTE, DISTRICT FOUR: Untrained and from an early Games
PATRICK DONEGAL, DISTRICT FOUR: Targeted for Victor relative
SIGMA-TIER: Likely dead within 72 hours
MAJESTY MIRAVAL: Despite Arleen's sacrifice to save him, Majesty's mental state is incompatible with survival in the Arena
WANGARI/KAMAU KARIUKI, DISTRICT TWO- Wounds sustained protecting ally in Bloodbath
MAKARA KHED, DISTRICT TWO- Targeted by Careers prejudiced against non-trained volunteer
SHINJU MATSUSHITA, DISTRICT THREE- Lone Tributes are especially vulnerable in such crowded Arenas.
AMPHILIA FORTUNA- Likely to anger other Careers by her antipathy toward them
RICHARD FRANKLIN, DISTRICT FIVE- Very low survival instinct and common sense
RACHEL LARSON, DISTRICT FIVE- While Rachel's unpredictability will shield her in the Bloodbath, stronger opponents will carry out a planned attack at an early opportunity
WIT CASTIGLIONE, DISTRICT FIVE- Simply overshadowed by dozens of stronger opponents
VOLVO COURVAILE, DISTRICT SIX- Volvo is formidably fit but is alone in a very crowded Arena
FERRARI BENZ, DISTRICT SIX*- No common sense or grasp of danger
MARLEY ASTERO- DISTRICT TWO: Targeted by other Careers for being creepy
GIZMO TORRENS, DISTRICT THREE- Gizmo's past betrayals will increase the likelihood of passersby attacking him
ZIBBY SPOOLY, DISTRICT NINE: Targeted for perceived advantages due to Arena
CYRENE LONGUEMARE, DISTRICT FOUR*: Same as above
BRADDOCK SIMPSON, DISTRICT SEVEN: Aggression
LEO SERROCOLD, DISTRICT TEN: Unable to stand up to competition
ALSACE/LYON CARTIER, DISTRICT FOUR- Targeted for family bond. Survivor's odds will greatly increase
ALYSANNE AUDREN, DISTRICT SIX: Targeted by Careers for prodigious physical skills
LACEY WEAVER, DISTRICT NINE: Unlikely to survive Alysanne's death
CAMILLE IGAWA, DISTRICT NINE: Outclassed by allied opponents
DECLAN MALONE, DISTRICT NINE: Same as above
ANJOU CORRIENTE, DISTRICT TEN: Anyone who sees him will try to kill him
CALLUM ROSENCRANZ, DISTRICT TEN: Risk-taking behavior
GAVIN BOOTH, DISTRICT TEN: Overwhelmed by allied opponents
FELIX VEAUX, DISTRICT TEN: Same as above
VALENCIA CADILLAC, DISTRICT SIX: Same as above
TONY GEAR, DISTRICT SIX: Same as above
CLOELIA DALEIGH, DISTRICT SEVEN*: Targeted by Careers who resent her martial skills
CHRISTOBAL CHANEL, DISTRICT EIGHT: Placed here and not Omega only because of his ally
ZEBULON CHARLES, DISTRICT TWELVE: Miscellaneous wear and tear from Arena
DAISY STEM, DISTRICT FOUR: While Daisy's allies will prevent attacks in the Bloodbath (mostly Mahi), they are not enough to protect a Career so weak
DELTA-TIER: Death likely approximately halfway through the Games
ARTEMIS JAGER, DISTRICT TWO: The temptation to target Artemis will be tempered by the fear of angering Pray. Nonetheless, Artemis does not have the skills to win.
TABITHA SPARKS- Tabitha is a complex case. She will be heavily sponsored, which brings a target on her. This is combated by her strong alliance, which will zealously shield her. At this point we project her only surviving ally will be Nene, who does like Tabitha but will put herself first in a crisis.
DEMARCUS KING, DISTRICT THREE: One of the less physically imposing of his alliance
JAY DALLAS, DISTRICT ELEVEN: Heavily targeted due to his charisma and past performance
THEODOSIA MULROY, DISTRICT TWELVE: Lack of noteworthy skills
NIKO LAFONT, DISTRICT NINE- Overwhelmed by large alliances
MAXSON DELORIA, DISTRICT SIX: Really we should have put him in Sigma since he has no allies, but we forgot to and this fits okay. Oh wait he does have allies. Whatever I'm not changing it
HELIOS CARNEGIE, DISTRICT ONE: Emotional baggage
PRISCILLA/MIALL PISCOT: Survivor will eventually be overwhelmed by superior alliances
MAHI ARAPAIMA, DISTRICT FOUR: Among the weaker of the Careers
TYLER ALVAREZ, DISTRICT TEN- Targeted for imposing appearance
DECIDUOUS STOWERCRAFT- Killed with Tyler
CIERRA DALINE, DISTRICT TWO: Is not at the level of several other Careers
ELISE DELACROIX, DISTRICT EIGHT: Unable to compete with stronger competitors
DELILAH CLEMENTINE, DISTRICT TEN: After Gabriel's death she will be overwhelmed by larger alliances
JUNIPER TRITON, DISTRICT FOUR: Juniper's ally is offset by his relative lack of training compared to other Careers.
CHARYBDIS KINCAID: Charybdis has shown great improvement in outlook. She is placed relatively low due to the lack of performance data due to her untimely death in her previous Games.
DOMINIQUE RINDELLE, DISTRICT NINE: Simply not elite enough to win
JEANIE CLAY, DISTRICT NINE: Same as above
GAMMA-TIER: Late deaths/ long-shot Victors
HADLEY KINNETH, DISTRICT SIX: Despite her loner status, we have placed Hadley in Gamma because of her past performance. Some loners will not doubt evade notice and we believe she may be one of them.
LINDEN ANDERSON, DISTRICT EIGHT: Linden's alliance is formidable, but he is an outlier in it. In a crisis, he will be the first abandoned.
HOSANNA RAYLES, DISTRICT : Despite her loner status, Hosanna attained this tier by her resilience and strong inner drive.
VULPES KERR, DISTRICT NINE: A controversial choice. Vulpes has the mentality and the strength to last longer, but his darker morality may eventually cause his allies to turn on him.
XZAVIER THOMAS, DISTRICT THREE: Xzavier's support from Acee will enable him to survive the loner culls. Nonetheless, they will find him eventually.
JOSEPH CARPENTER, DISTRICT TWO: Joseph's aversion to violence and depressive tendencies will be perceived as weak by other Careers, who will wait for a chance to target him
JASON LENN, DISTRICT TWO: After the loss of his sister, Jason will have no moral restrictions. His increasing aggression will either lead him to an unwise battle or turn his allies against him.
GRANDE ST. LEGER, DISTRICT ONE: Grande's combat and tactical skills are impressive, but his anxiety, which will of course be untreated in the Arena, may cause him to crumble in crisis. It may also cause other Careers to target him out of perceived weakness.
JYNX SUSURRUS, DISTRICT ONE: Strong in general but this selection of Tributes is far higher-quality than most, bringing Jynx down relatively.
LOGAN QUINN, DISTRICT FIVE: By this point, alliances will be failing or being destroyed. Logan is a strong fighter but cannot survive on his own in this group of Tributes.
MATI BERLIN, DISTRICT TEN: Mati's incongruously high tier is due to the fanatic protection of her allies, most of whom will be dead by this point.
MARLEY XANDER, DISTRICT FOUR: Marley is among the weaker Careers and her allies cannot protect her forever.
UNIQUE DIOR, DISTRICT ONE: While Unique's new interest in tactics holds great potential, she is not trained or strong enough to survive. She placed this highly only because of Mahi's massive assistance.
DIAMOND STARK, DISTRICT ONE: Diamond is very intelligent and will use this to great advantage, but physical strength is an unavoidable element of survival
CALVIN HEIDI, DISTRICT ONE: Simply does not rise to the elite level of some Tributes in this group and will eventually encounter someone stronger
MALCOLM ROYDEN, DISTRICT ONE: Same as above
PALOMA BENNETT, DISTRICT NINE: Paloma's alliance with Yttria looks set to yield great results. Despite this, neither girl has the skills needed to prevail against such stacked opponents
CINDERELLA DARE, DISTRICT ONE: Simply not strong enough in this elite group
FLEUR LAVEAU, DISTRICT ELEVEN: Fleur's impressive adaptability has led to her high tier placement. Nonetheless, she lacks the fighting skills necessary to survive
HAVELOCK GRIMM: Havelock is formidable on his own, but without his brother he will lack the edge needed to survive
LAKEN DERVISSEY: Laken's focus on close combat will leave him open to the many Careers who focus on ranged weapons and can kill him without engaging him
FAUST XANTINA, DISTRICT FOUR: Faust is a competent Career but lacks any one exceptional skill to boost him to the win
SIREN KAECKO, DISTRICT FOUR: Does not rise to the elite level of some opponents
ARROYO CARDOSO, DISTRICT FOUR: Same as above
ALSACE/LYON CARTIER, DISTRICT FOUR: Survivor is competent Career but is not exceptional
MARGO CASPIAN, DISTRICT TWO: Margo values thrill above pragmatics. Though others will be afraid to attack her, her risk-seeking behavior will eliminate her in the end.
ELISSA DI ANGELO, DISTRICT ONE: Elissa's eccentricities will be viewed by others as weakness or instability. Even with Grande she would likely not survive to the endgame.
VISENYA LLOYD, DISTRICT NINE: Visenya's large alliance will shield its members. Once it starts to weaken, Visenya does not have the needed skills to survive exposure to combat.
JASMINE ASHENVALE, DISTRICT SEVEN: Jasmine's alliance is very strong. Jasmine is among the weaker of her allies, and her strongest ally, Akari, will not risk death for any of her allies.
THEO WONDDEROO, DISTRICT EIGHT: Theo is among the weaker and more unfocused members of his alliance, which will shield him this long but cannot forever
OLIVINE MARTINEZ, DISTRICT ONE: Despite Olivine's creditable performances and strong alliance, her lack of ability to see the endgame through have placed her here and not Beta.
VICTORY AMARANTHINE, DISTRICT: Victory is an excellent Career but does not reach the elite status of some of her opponents
BETA-TIER: Endgame deaths/possible Victors
MAHI KATAO, DISTRICT FOUR: Mahi's massive size and strength deter attackers, and his previous Games show great potential. He is placed here and not in Alpha because of his gentle nature and his extreme stressed when his allies inevitably die.
RAPTURE KAI, DISTRICT ONE: Rapture's elite killing potential merits him an Alpha placement, but his increasingly aggressive tendencies will either get him killed or targeted by concerned rival Careers.
EMMELINE BLYTH: Emmeline shows very high adaptability and intelligence. She will thrive in this Arena. Furthermore, her several unavoidable demises lower her perceived threat level by Tributes who would otherwise target her. For this reason she is placed in Beta despite her loner status.
KATRINA MOONSHADOW, DISTRICT SEVEN: Though she will no doubt be alone by the endgame, Katrina's exceptional survival drive and ability to adapt have earned her a spot in Beta. We judge her the loner most likely to survive the culls.
KERRY SELMOSA, DISTRICT FIVE: Kerry's several high placements in past Games suggest ability to survive past the loner culls and the open-ended thinking needed to survive a dynamic Arena.
NENE PALMER, DISTRICT SIX: Most Tributes shrink from Nene due to her really, really, foreboding aura. Her alliance will protect her a long time. She has the strength to survive and the solitary nature to not become lonely. The longer the Games go on, the greater her chances to win.
CASTIEL WICKHAM, DISTRICT TEN: Castiel's placement will depend heavily on his allies' survival in the Bloodbath. He is sacrificial enough to die for them, but if he survives long enough to become a loner, his chances to win skyrocket. His high placements in several previous Games prove this.
TALISE CICERO, DISTRICT FOUR: Placed here due to strength of past performance
YTTRIA NOXUS: Yttria will thrive in this Arena. She will benefit from the security of her ally, and once on her own in a dwindled Arena, she will become an endgame dark horse threat
EMMA WOLFE, DISTRICT ONE: Emma is always a collected and logical fighter, with several past high placements. Her bond with Calvary Warsaw will aid her in getting sponsors
JESSIE CABELLO, DISTRICT TWO: Jessie and her allies are a complex case. Their blend of sibling bond and close friendship give them an alliance that would be targeted, but their four-way alliance is too large to safely attack. Jessie is weaker than most Tributes of this tier, and some in Gamma, but the protection of Chrome and Fable will enable her to survive. Despite their best efforts, we predict she will be the first of the alliance to die.
TARABEL ASPEN, DISTRICT TWELVE: Tarabel's elite training in unknown to most of her opponents, allowing her to slip past their notice. This same training will enable her to survive the loner culls. As the Games progress, she will be more and more of a threat as the numbers dwindle.
LOTTIE PARKER, DISTRICT TWO: Lottie's great strength and bulk are massive assets, as is her closely bonded alliance. However, her carefree attitude will result in mistakes and oversights that will eventually cause her death.
VALERIAN MERCURY, DISTRICT TWO: Placed her on strength of past performances
ALPHA-TIER: Likely Victors
PERFECTA FLAWLESS, DISTRICT ONE: Perfecta has dozens of skills, all expertly honed, and no noticeable weaknesses.
CHANTAL IVINGIN, DISTRICT ONE: Past performances are the only justification needed
JAYDEN CHADSEY, DISTRICT ONE: Jayden's compact and fierce alliance will compel its members to the endgame. Jayden, safe from the overwhelming crowds of Tributes, will be able to exploit her top-level combat skills to quite possibly earn herself the win
CHROME CABELLO, DISTRICT TWO: Like Jayden and Fable, Chrome will likely arrive at the endgame with little injury. Her pragmatic attitude and elite skills will then give her a large chance of victory
FABLE ANDERS, DISTRICT ONE: While perhaps not as vicious or strong as Chrome and Jayden, Fable will very likely reach the endgame, where the lower amount of Tributes results in much higher odds of victory. Fable's greatest asset will be her positive outlook, in contrast to Chrome and Jayden's cynicism
AKARI IGNEOUS, DISTRICT ONE: Placed here on strength of past performances
TULSI SA, DISTRICT FOUR: Tulsi's skills will be of great use in this Arena. For this reason, she was placed in Alpha despite her unfortunate early death in her last Games.
FLINT KENYTE, DISTRICT TWO: Flint's street fighting skills are unexpected to more formal fighters, throwing them off-balance. His past in a deadly job has given him sharp reflexes and real-world experience most Careers don't have. His hands-on skills will likely allow him to evade the loner culls with ease.
ARIELLE ERMIN, DISTRICT FOUR: Past performances
GAIUS MCLELLAN, DISTRICT TWELVE: Gaius' unique skills in martial areas will translate well to his large alliance. Gaius' alliance will likely thrive in the Arena, even dominating if a number of them survive to the latter half of the Games. Gaius' cool nature allows him to make the quick and difficult decisions required of a leader, and he is accustomed to rigorous physical activity.
TODDWARD HOWARD, DISTRICT NINE: Despite his bizarre name, "Todd" is brimming with charisma. This will motivate his alliance and rally them around him, both shielding him and strengthening him. Once left in a depleted Arena with fewer opponents, Todd's athletic skills and healthy optimism give him a shot to win it all.
NORTH FREEMONT, DISTRICT SIX: North's skills are unexpected from an outlier, allowing her to evade Career targeting. Her difficult home life has prepared her for harsh conditions in the Arena. Finally, her cold nature prevents her from showing weakness to opponents or endangering herself.
ELARA ANGELO, DISTRICT TWELVE: Elara has shown extreme prowess in enduring psychologically damaging Arenas, surviving with little resources, and determination. Her impressive performances in several previous Games suggest that the only reason she has not won yet is that something just didn't quite line up.
FAVORITE: Tulsi Sa, due to interviews with Academy instructors, private session performance, and compatibility with Arena
