Illium
Clark stood calmly in front of the Normandy's entrance looking out over the city. In his right hand was a data pad that he stole from the Eclipse captain, knowing that he didn't need to slow down for the sake of crew mates. He moved a little less than the speed of sound and rushed through the entire building, moving past anyone he saw and reached the office of the one in charge. Captain Wasea. He didn't kill anyone, didn't even knock them out, just walked into very quickly and grabbed the data pad right out of her hand before she even knew what happened.
It wasn't very surprising that he got back before the others, with very little to do before they would get here. He decided to wait for them then he'll make his way back to Liara and ask about Thane Krios, he didn't like the idea of interrupting an old reunion between the first Normandy crew. He may just give Garrus a message and ask him to ask her. At least getting the assassin should go a lot quicker, he didn't plan on bringing any of the others with him.
"If you knew how you were going to die" that voice hit his ears yet again. Clark closed his eyes, looked down and sighed. Turning his head to the right he saw Lois leaning on the railing next to him, looking out over the city like they were both on the job and looking for the story.
"Why are you here?" he asked calmly at the image of her.
"How would you live your life differently?" she asked, not responding to his first question. She looked away from the city and starred right at him, giving him a small smile, the same he grew so used to see, the same he grew to love so much.
But then it all fell away as her body started to glow red and soon enough flames began to flow all over her body, and she just stood there looking at him while she burned. Clark's face was calm as he looked at the image before him, but on the inside, he was screaming, he was reliving the terror he felt when he was speeding through the burning corridors of the daily planet, seconds after the bomb went off. Even with his great speed, all he could do was arrive at the floor above just in time to see flames burn her skin and shrapnel pierce her heart.
In front of him, the body of Lois turns to a pile of ash on the ground and he doesn't notice someone tapping his shoulder "Clark!" a woman shouted.
Quickly turning around he saw Kasumi tapping his shoulder, behind her Mordin and Samara waited but both looked confused and slightly alarmed by him not noticing her "are you ok?" she asked.
"Hm, yeah, yeah I'm fine" he said though he knew they didn't believe him, hell he wouldn't have believed him either "here" he said before anyone else could talk, handing the data pad to Samara who was quick to take and start looking through the contexts.
After a moment she spoke "it seems my target has fled to Omaga. The perfect hiding hole for her, she won't leave until she has too" looking up she starred at Clark "I'm grateful for the help you have given me but it changes nothing, when the Reapers have been delt with I will kill you, the code demands it" she warned.
Clark looked at her calmly "and just like last time, I won't stop you from trying"
The Justiciar gave him a nod before walking with Mordin into the ship, he trusted that Mordin could show her around the ship and hopefully Miranda could take things from there.
When the two left and it was just Kasumi and Clark, the thief just couldn't help but ask "come on, spill. What the hell makes her want to kill you?" she asked.
Clark sighed and shook his head "she doesn't want to kill me" he corrected "honestly, we worked really well together in the past. But once she learned who I was, that's when the trying to kill me started" he said calmly.
"Come on" Kasumi almost sighed as she slumped in place, placing a hand on her hip "don't tell me this code forces her to kill aliens or something"
He almost chuckled at her "no, not that" he denied "from what I was able to gather before the trying to kill me started. It's against the code for anyone to have the same or a similar amount of power that could rivel their goddess" he explained as best he could, not easy when even he himself didn't know the full story.
She shook her head "but that's ridicules. Your strong, you can do the impossible but the Asari goddess, didn't she like breathe life into the universe or something?" she guessed.
To which Clark shrugged, not knowing much about the Asari goddess but from what he does know it's pretty cliché, one god, creates everything, etc "basically" he admitted "like I said, I don't know the whole reason myself, but I know it has something to do with goddess. She never really gave me a direct answer"
The thief hummed "well maybe I could ask her" she mused looking back to the entrance of the ship.
"Maybe you could" he agreed "but just be respectful" he warned.
"Of course" she smiled at him before heading inside "I know when to behave. See ya soon Cap" she waved goodbye before heading inside the ship.
He gave her a small wave before going back to leaning against the railing and looking out over the city. He really did hate to ruin and reunion, but they were running out of time, pretty soon they would be swarmed by the press and god knows who else. Word of him being at that police station is probably spreading right now. He gives it only a few hours before his face will be all over the news, reaching down for his Omni-tool he typed away a message to Garrus, telling him to ask Liara about where he could find Thane.
"Clark" a voice spoke to him. Turning around he was surprised to see Miranda making her way towards him, walking away from the trade centre and towards the ship instead of the other way around "what are you doing out here?" she asked moving towards him.
"You look nice... casual" he said noticing her clothes and she was to be fair, instead of wearing her usual tight fitting Cerebrus uniform. She instead wore a pair of tight jeans, heels and a white blouse.
Looking down at her clothes she looked back up at him "thank you, I met up with Oriana before she left with her family" she found herself smiling brightly and Clark couldn't help but smile back.
"I'm glad you have fun" he said "Did you talk about anything in particular?" he asked.
She smiled at him before walking up and standing next to him, leaning against the railing looking out over the city "quite a lot actually, I already knew a lot about her but she didn't know anything about me" she let out a chuckle "I don't think I've ever had to talk about myself so much all at once. Turns out we have a lot in common"
"I'm glad you got a chance to connect, are you gonna stay in touch when they're relocated?" he asked looking over towards her.
She was silent "I'd like to but in this line of work, who knows? I've lost count of how many times I've nearly died. It's something I can deal with after our mission. I have to stay focused, besides she needs time to adjust to her new home"
Clark gave a hmm "true, starting a new life can take some getting used too. At least this time she knows there's a reason for it"
"I'm grateful for that" Miranda agreed "now that I know she wants to work in colony development, her moving around so much could help her quite a bit. Give her some experience on a lot of different colonies and how they work"
"it's an important job" he commented "a lot of people will depend on her"
She nodded back "I know but she's as smart as I am and she handles pressure well. There's no doubt on my mind that she'll be able to handle it. She just needs the grades now" Clark didn't have much to say to that, so he just gave her an encouraging nod "what are you doing out here anyway?" she asked suddenly "EDI told me you were heading off to get Justiciar Samara"
"We did" he confirmed "she's inside now. Mordins giving her the tour now that he knows you're not on board" he informed.
"Shouldn't you be the one giving her the tour?" she mused "or is this history you have really that bad?" she asked.
He let out a humourful huff at those words "no, we've reached an understanding. I'm just waiting for Garrus to message me back about the assassin, I want to get him out quick. We're about to get swarmed by the press. Not something we need"
She nodded at his words, seeming to agree with him "I'll let the rest of the crew know that it's time to head back. How long do you think it will take to hear back from him?" she asked.
He gave her a shrug "I don't know but I don't want to interrupt their little reunion. So, I'll just wait"
Miranda didn't immediately speak back but she did take a step away from the railing and stopped in front of him "when was the last time you ate?" she asked suddenly.
Clark rose his eyebrows at the sudden question "a week ago" he answered honestly.
She frowned in confusion at him "how can you go so far without eating anything?" she asked.
He gave her a shrug "it was pretty easy when I realised I no longer needed it" he dismissed.
She placed a hand on her hip "there's a small café on the district floor. Would you like to join me for a small meal while we wait?" she asked.
He didn't answer for a moment, no doubt thinking about it "I suppose it has been a while since I ate" he commented standing up straight from the railing and started to walk alongside the executive officer.
The two sat across from each other in front of a large glass window and gave a great view of the whole district. Clark had to admit, it was a nice place, very cozy. It wasn't full of people, but they were hardly the only people in there. Clark was leaning back in his chair enjoying the atmosphere of the place "what are you planning to order?" Miranda asked as she looked down to the menu in her hands.
"A shadows breath tea and the sandwich of the day" he said quickly.
"Shadows breath tea?" she asked back looking over the menu again "isn't that supposed to be very... rich?" she asked hesitantly not being sure on the right word.
He smiled back at him "incredibly, I wouldn't recommend it for you"
"hhmm" Miranda said as she looked again "maybe I'll just steal some of yours" she smirked.
"At your own risk, be it" he warned "what about your food?"
"I may try the pastry, looks quite nice indeed. Which is surprising because I normally don't like Asari food" she placed the menu down and leaned back herself, the two waiting for someone to come and take their order. Which is what happened after a minute.
When the waitress arrived to take the order but it wasn't hard to miss how much she was staring at Clark "is there, anything else I can get you sir?" she asked in a breathless tone starring deeply into his eyes.
Clark just smiled back "no thank you miss, that will be all" she hung around a couple more seconds then normally, just starring at him before she finally left them.
"I know you explained it" Miranda said as she looked at the disappearing Asari "but to see it with my own eyes, it's incredible how quickly they lose themselves around you" the researcher in her coming out as she looked around and realized that even the other people spread around the café were giving him subtle glances.
"it's not their fault" he dismissed "they can't change their evolution anymore then we can" he added.
"I'm surprised you don't take advantage of it more often" she casually spoke "I can't even count the number of men who would want the power to summon an army of good-looking alien woman to do what you want with"
He gave her a nod "well, I think I've proven that I'm not most men. It doesn't work the same way for me anyway" he mused.
She tilted her head at him "what do you mean?" she asked.
He looked at her, leaned forward and crossed his arms on the table "well, when I was younger it worked the same way that it does for you humans. Sex was a very pleasurable experience, that I wanted more often than not" he started "but as I got older, I realized that Kryptonians... mature differently than other species. Sex stopped meaning pleasure and moved towards feelings instead"
"But... you spelt with Aria on Omega" Miranda pointed out.
Clark nodded "yeah, I still can sleep with people but unless feelings are involved. I don't really get a lot out of it. I could sleep with Aria for days and it would be nothing compared to the first time I slept with Lois for example and that lasted for like two minutes, and saying it was that long is me being generous" he added.
Miranda couldn't help but let out a smirk at him, Superman, the man of steel admitting that the first time he slept with his wife he didn't last long 'he must have been really exited' she mused in her head. But that was when his words started to reach the scientist in her "are Kryptonians monogamous?" she asked.
Clark didn't answer her immediately, no doubt thinking about the answer "I think so" he said.
"You think?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.
He shrugged "well that's my theory, Kryptonians didn't have a word for mate for life but based on what I've found out from my people's history and my own biology. I believe it to be the case but there are some counter points that go against it" he confirmed.
She seemed to accept that answer but soon found herself frowning in confusion "but what about Samara, from what's been said it seems you two had a relationship?" she asked.
He nodded at her "Samara was one of the first Asari I met, when I was on one of their outer colonies. She was there on a mission and since she was going after a very good killer, I thought I could help" he started to explain, Miranda giving him her complete attention "I didn't know about the effect I had on the Asari back then, it wasn't until she started to talk to me about it that I got the idea about how the Asari mating process works. And the effect I seemed to have on them, I was a little... put off by it but I grew to live with it" before he could continue, the waitress came back.
"Here you are sir" she smiled handing Clark his order while another came from behind her and gave Miranda hers, but she was also looking at Clark with a smile "if there's anything else I can do to help..."
"I'll be sure to call you" Clark smiled back before turning to his meal, ignoring the two waitresses as he picked up his cup and took a sip of his tea "now" he looked back to Miranda who was eating her pastry "after I helped her, she asked if I wanted to go with her" he shrugged "I didn't have a reason to say no so I agreed. Over time we got closer and even if Samara does have a strong will, it seemed even someone with her conviction couldn't say no to her biology forever and me myself having feelings for her, I wasn't complaining, and we got together"
She slowly nodded at him "but, then she found out who you where?" she asked. He nodded at her with a small look of sadness, but it was quickly pushed away when he started to eat his meal. As they ate in a comfortable silence, Miranda couldn't help but think about what she learned. He didn't get anything from sex unless real feelings where involved? She guessed that it could be seen as romantic but to her it just seemed terribly inconvenient. She wasn't some blushing virgin; she's had sex many times. Sometimes for missions and sometimes for personal pleasure, for her life sex has always been more practical, a way to take a break from work, to temporally forget stress. Feelings for her have never been involved, she's never had a real relationship.
When it wasn't for a mission, her brief relationships had been meaningless, and she made sure it was that beforehand. She lay downed the terms, you wanted to have sex with her, fine but if you start to feel something then go find someone else who will return them because she wouldn't. But if she never got anything from sex unless feelings where involved? When she thought about it, she realized that she would still be a virgin, if it wasn't for missions that is.
But that was when a new thought entered her head "but, hang on" she suddenly spoke up "back to the whole mate for life thing. Lois wasn't you're only relationship" she spoke, remembering her history and that Clark Kent had a teenage sweetheart by the name of Lana lang.
Finishing one half of his sandwich he looked back up at her "Lana" he mused "yeah, first relationship. Back then I didn't really know who I was myself" he said honestly, he didn't know he was an alien back then, he just knew that he was different "back then... the best way I can explain would be that I was split down the middle, going out with Lana was fun but as it started to get more romantic, I started to feel more and more empty. It just didn't feel right to me. Now looking back it's because we simply weren't compatible in the way that mattered to me and don't just mean 'oh I don't like her anymore'" he took a big gulp of his drink, which was still very hot but why would that matter to him? "It seems my subconscious already choose who I would be best with" he mused.
Miranda tilted her head at him as she held her half eaten pastry in her hands under her chin, pausing from having another bite "and?" she asked.
Clark took another bite of his sandwich before looking at her with raised eyebrows "hhmm?" he hummed at her.
"Who did your subconscious decide what you're attracted too?" she asked with a smirk.
"oh" he nodded "well, it seems I'm attracted to the strong, independent woman" he answered.
Her face deadpan at his words "really?" she asked dryly at the very boring and cliché answer.
"Oh, I'm not kidding" he reassured her, finishing his sandwich "Lois was a badass, she didn't take shit from anyone, she broke into places" he let out a chuckle "one time, she broke into a penthouse bedroom to prove that this Lex corp executive was sleeping with an underage girl. When she saw them in bed, got the proof, sent the proof away to usually either me or Jimmy. She just opened the door and started questioning, right in the middle of the two going at it" there was a fond smile on his face as he thought about that "same with Samara. Strong, independent, driven. Did whatever she had to in order to complete her objective" he then lifted a hand from the table and gestured to her "same with you" he added calmly.
She raised her eyebrows at him "me?" she asked. Why was she surprised? Miranda knew she was a beautiful woman, she's known that for a very long time. It's one of the reasons she's so good at espionage. Maybe it was just how he so casually came out and said it or more how that she was surprised that it was Superman who was saying it.
Taking a sip of his tea he looked at her none pulsed "You're strong, capable, you don't have the patience for the incompetents, you're real loyal to those who can earn your trust and when you want something, you go and get it" he listed.
She didn't know where he got the whole loyalty thing but by this point, she knew how smart he was, and it was best to just go with it because he was probably right. When looking at him, she found herself smiling "thanks, you're very attractive too" she admitted.
He smiled back and nodded "I know" he smirked before looking down at his cup "little bit left, did you want to try it?" he offered the cup with a small shake.
Shrugging she reached out and grabbed the cup, she's never really tried it before but looking down at the black liquid, taking a sniff of the drink. She recoiled at the strong scent, though looking at the small smirk on Clark's face, practically daring her too. She steeled herself, starred right back into his eyes and placed the cup onto her lips.
She really did try to hold it; Clark could tell, and he had to give her credit. She nearly did, though after a few seconds she started to cough and stutter. Placing the cup down she reached for a napkin and covered her mouth as she coughed. It took her a couple of seconds but when she finally did calm down she tried to get her face neutral again "that's... potent" she tried to say regaining her composure.
He didn't even try to hide his smirk "yes, yes it is" he agreed as he looked over to the waitress that was still starring at him from behind the counter, waving her over. She almost tripped over herself to get to them faster.
"Yes sir, is there anything I can help you with?" she asked.
He smiled at her "yes, I would to pay please"
"Oh, of course" she flushed as she opened her omni-tool, Clark doing the same and she soon walked away after he payed for the meal.
"Wait but hang on" Miranda said as she and Clark both stood up and started to make their way outside "if Kryptonians mate for life then how can you and Samara... break up?" she asked when the two walked outside.
He shrugged "well that's one of those counter points I was talking about. I don't really know myself" he said he stopped walking completely.
Miranda walked a few steps in front of him before she noticed and turned to see him looking off to the distance "what is it?" she asked walking back to him.
Looking back to her, he gave her a sad smile "give me a minute" he said before moving off into the direction he was just starring. Very confused at the sudden change in attitude, she walked after him.
Clark knew she was following him, he didn't need power for that but it didn't matter. Walking through the thick crowd of people around the trade district, he started to make his way towards the balcony that when looked over gave a great view of the city.
Standing in front of it, looking down to the ground with a sad face was a small Asari child. She was trying her best not to cry but she wasn't doing a very good job "hello" he said gently. The girl wiped her eyes before looking up at him "what's wrong little one?" he asked, kneeling down to meet her eyes.
The girl sniffed "I... I can't... I can't find my mummy and daddy" she struggled to say.
Clark gave her a gentle smile "well that's not good is it? Why don't you come with me" he reached out with a hand "and we can go find them" normally Clark would be worried about a small child being so ready to go with a stranger, but she was still an Asari and that instinct was still there. With a small timid smile, she reached out and grabbed his hand, even going a step further and putting an arm around his neck. Having experience with kids before, he knew what she wanted. Reaching around her, he picked her up and held her against his chest "you look like daddy" she mused.
"Do I?" he smiled at her, turning around and planning on taking her to the security area where he was told about where to find Samara. Though when he turned around, he found Miranda looking at him with a small smile "is your daddy a human?" he asked as he started to walk in that direction, Miranda following close behind him.
"Hu-huh" the girl nodded "you're pretty" she added looking into his eyes.
He chuckled at her words "not as pretty as you" he reached up with his free hand and boobed her nose causing her to giggle and try to hide her head in his neck.
Miranda really couldn't help but smile at the sight, it was very homely to see the most powerful man in the galaxy be so kind and gentle with such a frail thing. He had contact with kids before, she knew that. There where hundreds of vids of Superman help children from a dozen different dangers such as fires, crashes, earthquakes, everything really. But to see it with her own eyes, it really was something special.
Though before she could follow them, Clark stopped walking as his Omni-tool light up. Looking down to his wrist he had a small scowl when he read the message "it's Garrus" he answered her unasked question when she stopped next to them "Liara has the building in which Thane be hunting a target right now. I need to head over now or I'll lose him" he looked over to her and then down to the small child in his arms.
Knowing what he was asking, Miranda didn't hesitate "here" he said reaching out with her arms "I'll take her" she promised.
Smiling at her, he turned and looked back to the girl "hey" he whispered "this is my friend Miranda" he pointed to her and the girl looked up from his neck to look at her "she's going to help you find your parents"
The girl just looked back up at him "but... I don't want you to leave" she said sweetly.
"I know" he said gently "but I need to help my friend, can you be a big girl and trust in my friend to help you?" he asked. Looking back to Miranda and then back to him, the girl hesitated before nodding "good girl" he said before handing the small child over to his executive officer "once you find her family, head back to the Normandy, we need to leave soon" he order and she nodded. He had to admit, if Miranda had any trouble with kids, then it didn't show it, handling the girl without any trouble. Taking a few steps back, the kid still looking at her with an uneasy face, now that he was further away, he stood in the middle of the trade district "do you want to see a magic trick?" he asked.
The girl nodded at him. Smiling back at her Clark quickly used his powers and shot up into the sky, going so fast he created a small shock wave due to his speed.
'Why did I do that?' Clark asked himself as he sat calmly on the edge of the tall skyscraper, his legs dangling in the wind. The reason he was here is because just under where he was sitting was the office of the target that Thane was supposedly hunting and when he looked further, he could see the green coloured Drell making his way up the building. The sun had set by now and the city was bathing in the light of the moon and the bright city lights.
But why did he blast off like that? He wanted to stay out of it, he didn't want to create a scene and look at what he's doing now. Killing people left and right, not even trying to hide his power or who he is and now he just announced to everyone who he was, when he looked over in that direction now and zoomed in closer. He could see half a dozen news crews appeared around the area talking into cameras.
Did he really just do all of this because he wanted to make a lost scared child feel better? 'Or maybe you're starting to like being out of the shadows again' a voice in the back of his head said "people would always say they have a dozen different regrets or things they would change" quickly turning his head, he saw the translucent form of Lois sitting there right next to him. He didn't interrupt her, just kept staring closely "but I don't, the regrets, the mistakes. They're what us who we are" she turned to look at him and gave him a bright smile.
He only just started to smile back when a loud bang caught his attention, quickly looking back down he could see that the woman in charge, he really didn't know anything about her was standing behind her desk with four guards in front of her all of which were pointed at the entrance, but Clark saw what they couldn't. They couldn't see the very quick Drell moving around in the vents above them.
Standing up Clark stepped off the building and hovered in the air before slowly lowering down. When he did, he saw the assassin jump down from vent, completely out of view and due to how quite he did it, there was no hearing him. As Clarks body stopped in front of the window, he saw the assassin raise two pistols and fired a single shot from each, hitting two of his targets. They fell to the ground and when the others turned to face him, he raised a leg and kicked the weapon out of the hands before aiming a well-timed punch to the neck, knocking her to the ground. Quickly moving to the other, pushing the tip of the weapon out of his way in order to only just avoid being shot, then before the merc could react Thane pushed forward with a half dozen to her body, ending with an uppercut followed by an elbow to the chest.
Without wasting a second, he turned around to face the target that was moving behind them, grabbing her wrist and pushing the weapon out of the way while at the same time placing his own against her stomach, with one shot and she was dead.
Clark placed his hand on the window as the assassin placed a gentle hand on the back of the woman's head and calmly laid her back on her desk, placing both her hands on her stomach in a peaceful gesture. Pushing against the glass, to even his own surprise, instead of the glass shattering against his pressure. The entire sheet seemed to just fall off the frame and the whole sheet of glass quietly fell to the ground with barely a sound.
Calmly walking into the office, he starred to look at the assassin who held his hands clasped together in front of him in a prayer like gesture, he had to admit. He was surprised to see this, not that he was complaining, it was nice that a killer with Thane's reputation would have a type of code of honour.
Deciding that it would be best to wait for a moment, he just stood there calmly, waiting for him to finish. When he did, he turned around and saw Clark standing there, no doubt surprised to see him of all people "I didn't want to interrupt you" he spoke nodding towards the dead woman on the desk.
Thane slightly tilted his head at him "thank you, that is most considerate of you" he nodded "prayers for the wicked must not be forsaken" he explained as he started to slowly walk towards him until they both stood at the open window, looking out over the city.
"Is that what she was? Wicked?" he asked as they stood side by side.
"The prayer was not for her" Thane shook his head "it was for me. I am not an easy person to find, but you are here for me" he turned and looked over to Clark "I had heard the rumours that you were on Illium but I never took much stock in them. Here I am, what can I do for you?" he asked calmly, placing his hands behind his back.
"Do you know of the Collectors?" he asked calmly, turning to face the Drell.
"Only by reputation" he answered "I had heard the news of the downed ship on Horizen" he explained and that was about all Clark expected. What else would an assassin know about the very elusive Collectors?
"A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Cerberus" he started to explain "they wanted me to look into Commander Shepards claim on the Reapers. Long story short, they're real and the Collectors are working for them. That ship on Horizen was just the start, it's a good start but it's not enough. We need more information on the Reapers and from what I can gather, the best way to do that is going to the Collector home world"
"Attacking the Collectors would require going through the Omega-4 relay" Thane said quickly "no ship as ever returned from doing so" he warned.
Clark gave him a smile "I've done the impossible before" he said.
"hhmm, a fair point" Thane nodded "you do have a reputation of being the impossible personified" he closed his eyes before looking down for a moment "this was to be my last job" he announced looking over towards the bright glow of the sun "I'm dying. Low survival odds to do not concern me anymore"
Clark crossed his arms before giving Thane a sad look "I'm sorry to hear that" he said honestly.
"Do you ever contemplate death Mr. Kent?" he asked softly.
It was a fair question "I used too" he said honestly "now, the only experience I have with it is when I am around others" that was the truth, he used to think about death the same amount of everyone else. There was a part that was scared of the idea but not anymore, he's only come close to death once before. And that was a fight he never wanted to think about again and he was just happy that fucker was locked up tight.
"I will help you" Thane announced "I have spilt much blood in my life, some from those who deserve it and others who did not. Ending the threat the Collectors pose, perhaps doing that will finally allow me to remove some of the red from my ledger" quickly turning around to face Clark fully, reaching his hand out he and Clark shook "I will work for you, free of charge"
"I'm glad to hear it" Clark nodded with a smile "would you like a lift to the ship or do you prefer to make get there yourself?" he asked calmly.
Looking over his shoulder and towards the door to the office, he soon turned back "I would like to meet you at the ship, there are a couple of things I must see to before I leave"
He nodded back to him "very well" opening his Omni-Tool, he handed Thane the address of the Normandy "I will see you soon" without another word, Clark stepped off the ledge of the building and began to fall to the ground but when he met the halfway point, he stopped and started to calmly fly through the sky.
But before he could even turn in the direction of the port, his Omni-Tool started to chime, indicating that Garrus was calling him "Hello, Garrus? Are you on your way back?" he asked as he just hovered in the air "woah woah, slow down. What!" he shouted "What do you mean you're fighting a Spectre? Wai... Liara's being hunted by the Shadow Broker? Ok, stay there, I'm on my way" hanging up the call, Clark turned in the air and made his way towards the locator beacon Garrus had in his Omni-Tool.
Ok guys, let's call it there. Let me know what you all thought and next chapter in case you didn't know is the Shadow Broker DLC. I'm not sure if I can fit the entire thing into one chapter but I'll try. Anyway, I'll see you all in the next chapter.
