He had to duck under the attack, it's been a very long time since Clark has had to think about how to fight someone. But here he was, thinking about how best to deal with this. As the green hammer flew over his head, missing him by just a hair, he jumped forward and slammed his body into the Broker. Unfortunately, that green shield was there to meet him.

And it really did make a difference.

Oh sure, when they met. The Broker was sent flying across the room, smashing threw one of the concrete pilers that held the ceiling up but compare that to what could normally break a moon in half, it was really something. Clark himself stood up from his crouched position and looked at his opponent on shaking legs, with some effort he stood straight. He was about to walk over to him but stood when he felt someone wet running down his nose, reaching up with his hand, he narrowed his eyes at the sight.

Red blood on the tip of his finger, it's been a very long time since his bloods been drawn in a fight. He's taken some of his own before, when he's in a lab studying himself. It looked the same as last time at least, it was a light red and if you looked closer. You could see that it was almost glowing, pulsing, raging with power.

Seeing in his peripheral vision that the Broker is picking himself up off the ground, he flicked the blood to the ground. Ignoring the sizzling that accrued as it slowly started to melt through, the metal not being able withstand the heat coming off it "HOW!" the Broker roared as he slammed the green hammer into the ground "every bite of data I have! ALL OF IT! Claims that you cannot stand in the presence this rock, this mineral" he snarled as he picked himself up.

Clark took a couple of deep breaths before slowly walking forward "I spent decades being beaten by that fucking crystal" he said with a hoarse voice "you think I didn't know how to prevent it from happening again?" he asked rhetorically.

It was true to be fair, Clark's had a lot of time on his hands over the years and one of the projects of his did take priority over others. Nearly the top of his list was working out a way to protect himself from his biggest weakness, it took a couple of weeks of research and some experimentation but he was able to create a method to help strengthen himself against it. A type of battlefield meditation that would allow him to ignore the pain for a time and creating a onetime medication that worked as a type of vaccination that would greatly increase his resistance to it. It also helped that he started to realize that the older he got, the less effective Kryptonite became.

The Broker didn't answer but he did run towards him and Clark was more than eager to match him. This time Clark swung first, the Broker raised his shield to bloke him, for all the good it did. The force of Clarks punch was enough to crack the hard light and it would be a while until it fixed itself. The Broker's body was pushed back a couple of feet though before Clark could press the attack, his opponent instead of swinging like he has until this point. He simply jabbed the hammer forwards and being a lot slower than usual, Clark wasn't able to get out of the way and he was hit in the chest.

He was knocked onto his back and flipped even further, landing on his stomach. Knowing what was going to happen the second the sound of stamping feet his ears. Using his flight which was severely dampened since coming into contact with Kryptonite, he slid across the ground as if he was on a really fast coverer belt. When he felt the hammer impact the spot he just was, Clark span on the ground and kicked the Brokers legs with his own. The larger body fell to the ground, acting quickly he moved forward and grabbed his head before he could recover. With a huff he turned and threw him.

"AAAAHHHH!" the Broker screamed as he flew through the air and slammed into the wall behind his desk. When the wall cracked and he slid to the ground, Clark had a moment to realize just how strong the Yahg really were. It's no wonder the council where so worried about this lot getting space travel, these things make the Krogan seem small. He found himself catching his breath for a moment as the Broker picked himself up "it..." he huffed "it seems that... I may need more of an advantage" he activated his Omni-tool and Clark heard the mechanical sound of the ventilation systems.

He let out a heavy and tired sigh when he could see a green mist drop from the vents spread out across the wall "I wondered why I've found barely any Kryptonite since leaving Earth" he mused idly.

"I thought it would be useful one day" the Yahg added back before he charged forward again, this time with a bigger advantage.

Garrus moved first with his weapon raised as he moved down the first corridor outside the hanger, as soon as the first mercs stepped out of whatever cover they were behind, they were quickly taken down.

If it wasn't by him then it would be by the others, after a few minutes of walking and dealing with whatever came there way, they found the port that they would need to use "I've found the Terminal" he said into the com "EDI, get ready to lend us hand" he added.

"I understand Mr. Vakarian" the A.I's voice filtered through "standing by"

"Cover me" he said and without another word, Ashley and Tali moved in front of him while Liara and Mordin stayed behind, their weapons raised and ready to fire against anyone who gets any idea and based on the weapon fire that Garrus heard while he was using his Omni-tool to allow EDI to connect with the ships system.

It only took a minute or two but soon EDI's voice came through again, though unlike before it didn't come through the Omni-tool but instead the ships intercom "I have been connected" she said.

"EDI" Liara started as she lowered her weapon slightly and looked up to the ceiling "can you locate Feron?" she asked.

"One moment" she said back and the whole team stood still, still looking down their weapons. Three more bodies joined the ones already on the ground as more mercs thought that turning a corner without looking was a good idea "there is a Drell currently being held captive one hundred and fifty minutes down the corridor you are currently heading" the entire team began to move, this time following Liara's lead. Not that it was too much of a problem, in truth they were all able to lead the team. Garrus thought that he was only made team leader because he thought that he would be the easiest for all to follow.

"I am trying to make the path more clear but my control of the ship is limited" she carried on "be advised, the Drell who is most likely Feron is being bound to a complicated device that is tied to the ships power core" while she spoke the team had to deal with more mercs and it was hard not to notice that the fighting was getting more and more intense, their training and skills seemed to be getting harder.

But thankfully he didn't seem to make too much of a difference "how much do you want to bet the other team has it easier" Tali mused out loud as she quickly turned out from cover and fired her shotgun into the gut of one of the mercs who tried to sneak up on her.

"Not likely" Mordin was quick to say as the team continued to duck and cover as they slowly moved forwards down the corridors "moving to small cell? Prison? While other team heads towards data centre. Most important part of Broker, most heavily defended. Has to be" he explained.

"Makes sense" Ashely commented as they all moved forward "well, if they can't handle it, we'll just have to circle back and help them out" she quickly moved to the side in order to dodge the sniper round that came from further down.

"They won't need it" Garrus commented as he took out the sniper with his own "I'm sure they're fine"

"AAAHHHHH" Miranda had to force herself not to wince as she heard Grunt yell, running forward and slammed himself into another merc, crushing them between the wall at himself. They fell down quickly after that "I AM KROGAN"

"Bravo team, be advised you are nearing the data centre now. A small squad is attempting a flanking manoeuvre" EDI said into the groups com.

"Damit" she cursed "Thane, make sure they don't take us by surprised. Jacob watch his back" she ordered.

Both the assassin and Cerberus operative moved away from the front of the group and made their way backwards. As of the moment they were in one of the many concreate corridors of the ship and based on what EDI told them when the other team connected her to the system, they were heading right towards the back half of the ship. Which was nothing but narrow corridors and choke points, makes sense from a defensive point of view and it was making the mission much harder.

If it wasn't for Samara and Grunt they would still be a square one, the Krogan was running forward ripping up what got in her way and the Justiciar was using her biotics to not only pull the mercs out of cover leaving them open for the others to shoot them but also giving Grunt a shield making sure that all the weapons shooting at him didn't overwhelm him. It was a good play and was working so far, being honest she didn't even think Grunt knew she was doing it.

But now was not the time for that, she stepped forward with her weapon raised "Grunt! Don't go too far!" she yelled the order and while the Krogan turned and growled at her, but he did lower his weapon and take a step back. The sound of weapons fire was heard behind them and when she glanced over her shoulder, she could see that Thane and Jacob were positioned at the corner they just turned and where shooting at something she guessed either more mercs or mechs.

She ignored them for now, not out of heartlessness, more so she trusted them to handle it. She walked forward just a few feet in front of Grunt and was met with a T-junction in the hallway "EDI, which way to the data centre?" she asked.

"To reach your objective, you must take a right turn and move forward until you reach the bulkhead door" the A.I informed her and as Miranda looked back she could see that based on the way Samara and Grunt looked they could hear her as well "be advised, it seems that the bulk of the Shadow Brokers forces are in your way. Based on my estimates, by the time you arrive I should have overridden the security protocols and the door will be unlocked for you"

"Hehehehe" Grunt laughed from behind her before running forward "I AM KROGAN!" he shouted.

Both Miranda and Samara just starred at the empty space he just occupied before turning around and looking down the corridor he just ran "AAAAHHHH" they heard someone scream.

"Re-calculating... you may have to wait for a few moments while I open the door" EDI commented.

Times like this Clark was really grateful he didn't need to breath in order to live, because this was just getting ridiculous. It was also in times like this Clark thought Karma was a real thing, he hasn't dealt with Kryptonite in decades so now he's dealing more than he ever has before all at once. Seriously, this guy could make Lex green with envy with how much he has.

The entire room was almost blurry to him, the entire bottom two feet of the room was covered in a green mist that made his feet sting and legs shake. This much was defiantly affecting his mind as he couldn't even remember how long he's been in here for and it was getting harder to keep standing. Yes, he's been able to build up some resistance to Kryptonite over the years, if he encountered this much when he first started out he would already dead.

At least he was giving as good as he got, a couple of feet away from him, the Broker was limping on one knee, the arm that held the green shield hung limply by his side unusable, completely broken in three places. Unfortunately, Clark wasn't doing much better. He didn't have any broken bones but he was bruised everywhere and bleeding from a lot of different places, when he looked down to his hands Clark could see green vanes under his skin "oh, that's not good" he thought to himself.

He slowly started to walk forward towards the Broker who did the same, when the large hammer was swung towards him. Instead of stepping back, Clark stepped forwards and raised his left arm. The head of the hammer stopped just behind his head and he held the shaft of the hammer, with his other hand he jabbed the Broker in the face and his head rocked backwards as he did so. Though when Clark made to it again, his hand was grabbed and the large head came crashing down towards him.

His vision became blurry as he was head butted then knocked back a couple of feet, he was able to not fall over thankfully but he also knew that this wouldn't last too much longer "Captain, do you read me?" EDI's voice filtered through the com, though he barely heard it.

"...yeah" he said with a horse voice "what... is it?" he asked and it seemed the Broker himself was just standing there taking deep breaths, trying to stay upright and taking the break that Clark was giving him.

"Alpha team has reached Feron but the device he is connected to is tied to the ships Power source, in order to free him you must disrupt the power core directly above you" Clark looked upwards at the huge glass ceiling which held a white liquid that seemed to be pulsing. He did wonder what that was, but with all the Kryptonite he wasn't able to figure it out.

"I'll err... I'll get on that. Oh, and do me a favour and tell Chakwas to prep the med-bay for me" he asked as he turned to face the Broker who was already walking towards him.

"... Apologies sir, my processors must be malfunctioning. Do you say you would require medical aid?" she asked.

This time Clark did duck in order to avoid the green hammer, he was about to use his heat vision but stopped when he remembered how low on power he was and that ability used up his solar energy much more any other. He wasn't really in a position to be throwing it all away "you heard right, now please do what I say" he said before hanging up his end of the call back he used what little energy he had left to run forward. He wasn't very fast but after everything, neither was the Broker.

Getting on his knees, he slid underneath his legs as the hammer swung above him. Missing but cracking the ground behind him, when Clark reached the other side, he swung his arm backwards hit the Patella on the knee forcing his enemy to fall onto his knees. Before he could recover from the attack, Clark let out an angry growl himself as he quickly stood up and grabbed the Broker by the back of his neck and with the other hand, the small of his back. Grunting from the effort, Clark lifted him up above his head "Any... last... words" he asked as he bent his legs.

"hehehe" the Broker said with angry chuckle "I'll take some pride... that it took Superman... to kill me" he hissed with a broken voice.

"... Good enough" Clark shrugged before he used pretty much all of his strength to push him upwards and the two flew upwards, right into the power core. The glass didn't withstand the force of the Brokers huge body and it shattered upon contact but Clark was still safe, as he hovered in the air with charged up liquid pouring down on them, he used the larger body of the Yahg as a shield to protect himself from what would undoubtably really really really hurt.

And he didn't even need to hear the Brokers screaming to understand that, or the body he was holding that was getting lighter and lighter as it was disintegrated. When he felt the last of the core drip around him, which wasn't hard as it was no longer a practical waterfall but instead a light shower. He dropped the body to the ground and he could see that most of it was missing, the only thing left of the once large Shadow Broker was the back layer of skin and a spine. Pretty much everything else was gone.

It took everything he had to not take a deep breath and calm down, breathing in this gas would not help. Not at all and as much as he would want to leave, he couldn't do it just yet. He needed to get what he came here for, slowly he limped forward to the back of the room to where a console was, one that was still working at least.

When he reached it, his right hand found its way his back pocket and he pulled out a very small electric device, a little smaller than a closed fist. He fitted it to his back of the console, and it lit up for but a moment and sounded with a gentle hum.

He was about to turn to leave when a voice stopped him "Shadow Broker, this is Operative Murat. We had a momentary connection failure. Can you confirm status?" the voice said through the monitor, Clark frowned in confusion.

Turning around he looked at the completely destroyed power core "a... momentary connection failure?" he said to himself "how... the fuck does that even..." he started.

"Operative Shora requesting update. Are we still online?" another voice interrupted him.

He almost didn't hear that one, still to shocked that this power core being destroyed was just a momentary connection loss "Shadow Broker, I've lost out feed. We are online and awaiting instructions"

"Fuck it" he said to himself as he limped forwards and pressed a button on the console "this is... the Shadow Broker, the HQ is about to undergo a large-scale system renovation... a power fluctuation is expected, and more are predicted to occur... if that happens you are to resume standard procedures. Shadow Broker out" with that said he hung up his end of the call and turned around. He can deal with that later, right now though. He just wants to lay down.

Miranda sighed as she leaned back on a railing, the last of the mercs dead at her feet. No, scratch that. She looked over and saw an Asari try and crawl away from Grunt only for the Krogan to give a small grunt himself before walking forward and planting his foot on her back, he raised his weapon and fired at the back of her head.

She looked away before her eyes could take in all the blood and gore that came about "tell you what though" Jacob started as he made his way over towards her "it's not a bad view" he said.

She took a couple of deep breaths as she turned to look behind her and she had to admit. He was right. The back half of the ship, which if described as a stick hanging off a dish, wouldn't be wrong. Turns out most of it was hollow, in front of the second team was a vast cavern of metal. With small towers made of nothing more than servers and platforms keeping them up. It wasn't too surprising when you really thought about it, with the amount of data here, it would be crazy to think that it would just be on a data drive. The Broker would need a large data centre in order to hold all of it.

The small balcony the team were standing on seemed to be the primary access point, she assumed that there would be another one in the Brokers office but she didn't care enough to look into it just yet "imagine all the things you could do with this information" she said more to herself than anyone else.

"It is certainly impressive" Thane said as he walked forward and joined the two, his hands calmly placed behind his back "Perhaps it would be worth looking for some information myself. Could find something useful" he mused and Miranda while wanting to disagree couldn't really think of a good reason why not to.

"You must show care with temptation" Samara added with a gentle voice that even Miranda could tell held centuries worth of experience "while the data here may prove useful, there is no telling the amount of damage it could cause"

"Who cares about the data do-dads" Grunt commented as he kicked one of the downed bodies onto their backs making sure they were dead, when he checked and saw that yes, the body with a giant hole in the chest was indeed dead "When do we get to kill more enemies?"

"We don't" Miranda said quickly, though before the Krogan could make an issue of it, he was interrupted.

"Bravo team, what is your status?" EDI asked the team.

"The access point is secured and the mercs are dead" she informed calmly.

"Alpha team reports the same and based on my estimates through the ships systems, all enemies have been eliminated. You are to report back to hanger and assist the captain and Alpha team make their way to the Normandy's med bay" EDI instructed the team and Miranda understood every word that was said.

Turning her head she looked at the others and gave them all a nod, calmly they all walked back the way they came. Even Grunt followed them without complaint, though it did seem like he wasn't happy that there was no-one to fight. Though when they made it to the halfway point, she slowed down and activated her Omni-tool reconnected the call "EDI, did you just say that Clark needs assistance getting to the med-bay?" she asked with a confused voice.

And based on the way the others slowed to turn and look at her, they didn't catch it the first time around either "That is correct, the captain has requested that a bed be made available for him upon his return" she informed everyone, the steps Miranda took became noticeably increased as the A.I talked, and the others seemed to keep up with her.

"Do you know why?" she quickly asked trying her best to keep her voice.

"Negative" the A.I said.

"For what reason could Clark possibly need medical assistance" Samara commented as she joined the team in jogging back to the hanger.

"The Broker couldn't have a weapon that would work on him. Could he?" Jacob asked with an unsure voice.

"If anyone could, it would be him" Thane added.

As much as Miranda would have wanted to deny it, she really couldn't. From every source, including the ones Cerberus has claims the Shadow Broker has more information than anyone else in the galaxy, that includes the species full governments. In fact, the argument could be made that the Shadow Broker is Cerberus's biggest rivel. They've certainly clashed enough times.

If anyone has a weapon or method that could hurt Superman, it would be him and that unnerved her more then she cared to admit. If they lost him, then this mission was over. Without the credibility of Superman, no-one would listen to them, and they would be right back to sqaure one. Then there was the small voice in the back of her head that whispered that she would miss if he were gone but she shook her head, now was not the time for those thoughts.

After a few minutes they arrived back in the hanger where they first arrived and she was quick to tell the shuttle to make its way back and seeing as they were on their own, they had no choice but to wait.

Thankfully it didn't take long. Only after a few minutes did something happen. Looking towards the door that the Alpha team came back through, but they had an extra member. Miranda could clearly see an injured Drell that was being held up by Liara, Mordin was on the other side of him with his Omni-Tool open, no doubt trying give some medical aid "what happened?" she asked as the two groups walked towards each other.

"don't know for certain" Garrus informed her "he was connected to some type of torture device" he looked back over his shoulder to the injured and barely conscious Drell "Mordin's doing what he can but he needs real medical attention"

She was about to respond but the sound of the shuttles thrusters making its way into them. Liara wasted no time in making their way towards the ship carrying Feron with her "get him comfortable but we're not leaving yet" she said to everyone with a loud voice.

"Why not!?" Liara was quick to demand "he needs help now"

"Apparently he's not the only one" is all she said back to them and when the Asari took a step off the shuttle after having placed Feron across three of the shuttle chairs so he could lay down, she marched towards Miranda with angry glare but before she could reach her. Grunt stepped forward.

The large Krogan completely covered the smaller human and he starred down the Asari with an angry glare "the battle master needs aid" he said in a gruff voice before lifting his hand and shoving Liara back a couple of steps "we wait for him to get here"

Garrus stepped in next, knowing full well that Liara will start a fight if she has too "what do you mean he needs aid?" he asked as he looked over Grunts shoulder, him being able too due to his Turian biology making him just as tall as the Krogan.

"We don't know" Miranda said stepped past Grunt, making a mental note to thank him for his support later "but EDI claims he requested medical aid so we're not going anywhere without out him" her tone was stern and her clenched fist made it clear this wouldn't be something to be debated.

"that's nice" a new voice said. Everyone present turned to face it and all of them were shocked at the sight. Clark looked terrible, his clothes were torn up, he was pale, covered in bruises and cuts, not to mention the sickly green vanes covered over his body "good... to know I've... earned some loyalty" he said with deep breaths and hoarse voice.

"What happened!" she said with a shocked voice, quickly walking forward and the closer she got, the worse he looked.

"He had..." he stumbled forward and was only just able to catch him, though even then she nearly fell as well. If it wasn't for Garrus who took some of the weight himself, they both would have fell "A lot of Kryptonite"

"WHAT!" she shouted as both she and Garrus lifted his arms over their shoulders and carried him to the shuttle "No one go in there" she ordered everyone as she pointed to the door Clark just came from as they both guided him to the shuttle "Kryptonite is harmful to him but it is to us as well, exposure is going to cause a rapid cancer"

Thankfully it seemed that she didn't need to warn them as they all piled onto the ship. It was noticeably more cramped on the way out then it was the on the way in, not suprising considering that all of the seats were taken up by the downed bodies. Miranda was kneeling down next to Clark's head, looking at him with concern "Clark, what do we do?" she asked concerned as she placed a hand on his head checking for a fever "Chakwas is good but she doesn't know how to treat someone like you" she said.

Clark's half-closed eyes looked over towards her, looking like he was about pass out at any moment "I just... need a bed... and to be left alone. A few hours should be enough but do me a favour and don't let anyone into that office" his eyes landed on the Asari and Krogan "the amount of Kryptonite in there will kill them... or at least give them more tumours they'll be able to heal" with that his eyes closed and his head fell backwards slightly.

Knowing that he should be ok based on what he said, Miranda calmed down slightly. She stood up, her back hitting Grunts forward armour plate as she did so. Unable to avoid as they were all pressed against each other "EDI, when we get back onboard, I want the ship on full lock down, no-one enters or leaves until the captain has the all clear from medical" she ordered, knowing that now Clark is unavailable she was in charge of the ship and crew.

"Understood executive Lawson" the A.I said.

Clark's eyes opened quickly, there was a grogginess to them, something he hasn't delt with in while. The headache he felt was helping the situation either, thankfully the bright light coming from the ceiling didn't make things too much worse. In fact, he allowed himself a moment to close his eyes and sighed, his head leaning further back into the pillow it was resting on, just giving himself a moment to relax.

When his eyes opened he tried to get an understanding of how injured he was, he felt sore everywhere, but nothing was broken and most of the significant damage had been healed, at least that was what he could tell at first glance. He knew that he would need to give himself a closer look over later. Shifting his body slightly, not too much but enough for him to tell that he was removed from his clothes and now rested in only a piece of underwear. Along with the bed blanket covering him.

The sound of a door opened caught his attention "Now, Mr. Feron. How are we feeling today?" the voice of Chakwas hit his ears but what she said caught his attention. Reaching out with his senses, he could tell that there was someone else in the ship's med-bay with them. The fact he didn't know that immediately was concerning but he pushed that worry to the side, there could still be some Kryptonite in his system which would explain that.

"Much better" a male voice said, this must be the hostage Liara was worried about "I think I'm well enough to be able to leave now" he added calmly.

"Yes, I believe you may be right" she conceded "I assume that you'll be leaving with Miss T-soni when she's allowed too?" she asked and Clark frowned when he heard that 'allowed too?' he thought to himself.

"Yes, I that'll be for the best" the male Drell agreed.

"Well then" the sound of footsteps hit his ears along with the sound of a draw being opened "here are your clothes, you can use the A.I core to get changed"

"Thank you doctor" Feron said as he heard him standing up from the bed.

"Now, let's see how captains..." Chakwas body came into his field of vision, and he turned his head to get a better view of her "ah, seems your back with us Mr Kent, how are you feeling?" she asked calmly as she stood by his side and leaned over in order to get a better look at him.

"How long have I been out?" he asked with his horse voice, that should fix itself soon enough.

"Around ten hours" she informed him "I'm not going to pretend to know anything about Kryptonian physiology I did what I could to make you feel comfortable" she stood back up straight and typed away on her Omni-Tool "so I followed the advice you gave miss Lawson and let your body heal itself, which seems to have worked. Though you do still have a green tint in some areas" she said calmly.

Clark shuffled in the bed until he was pushed up against the headboard and was sitting up. Looking down he pushed the cover further down until his complete upper body was exposed. When he looked he could see that he had a good deal of bruises spread out over his body. Normally they would have healed immediately but Kryptonite lessens all of his powers, including his healing factor. Well that proved that he still had some in his system "not yet" he said "that was..." his head fell back and he took a deep breath "he had a lot, I don't think I've ever had to deal with that much at once before. It's going to take a couple of days for it to be filtered out completely"

The doctor hummed as he moved closer to him and then reached for a data-pad that was placed on a small bedside take that held some other medical tools "and how are you feeling?" she asked.

"sore" he started knowing that he really should deny answering her, this was her job after all and he knew that she just wanted to do that job "slight headache, a little nauseous, very weak. But those are expected"

Before the doctor could say anything else the door to the med-bay opened and he had a small smile as Miranda made her way inside "Clark, your awake. How are you?" she asked quickly.

Rather than give her the same answer he just gave the doctor, he gave her a small shrug "I'm ok, what have I missed?" he asked back quickly before she could follow up.

She walked over to the other side of the bed, standing opposite the doctor. Though he was sure that she had a doctorate herself, so she herself was technically a doctor as well... he mentally shook his head, now was not the time for that "Once we got back, I locked down the ship, no-ones been on the Shadow Broker ship since. T-soni has been trying to get out every way she can but so far she's not getting much help. The Illusive man reached out and wants to speak to you as soon as possible, it sounded urgent"

"Have you told him?" Clark said to her calmly.

She knew what he was asking, did she tell her boss that they currently have the Shadow Brokers data completely unguarded and free for the taking "I informed him that we were following a lead on the Shadow Brokers location" she said back just as calmly.

He gave her a very small smirk with a tilt of his head "you didn't tell him we have the ship for ourselves?" he asked already knowing the answer.

"no" she said back just as quickly, though there was a hint of weariness in her voice "I thought it would be best to leave that to you" she added.

In other words 'you can figure out what to do now' still, it was nice to know that she trusted him enough to go behind her bosses back. Of course, Cerebrus would really really really want to get their hands on the Brokers data, god knows what they'd do with it. When Clark thought about it, he could tell that Miranda still trusted in Cerebrus, in the idea. So, was that she just trusted him more? "Well then" he started as he pushed the covers back and moved his body into a sitting position facing Miranda "what's happening with everyone else?" he asked.

Miranda took a step back giving him space to stand up "no trouble from anyone else" she said calmly, ignoring the face he was in his underwear in front of her "most have just gone back to their regular tasks, a handful have been asked to be given updates on your health. Williams has requested the QEC to give a report to the Alliance, I denied it until you were back up. Grunt seems to have calmed down slightly, worth noting that he seemed to have placed himself as a bodyguard to you, spent most of his time standing guard outside until I dismissed him an hour ago" she informed.

"that's nice of him" Clark managed to stand up, though not without a grimace and not as quickly as he would have liked.

"Are you ok?" she asked taking a step closer and placing a hand on his right shoulder, where when he looked, he could see a green vain still present.

"Yeah" he nodded as he stood up to his full height, a couple of inches taller than Miranda herself "just gonna take a little longer for it to flush out my system" he added giving her a gentle smile.

"unfortunately, your clothes did not survive" Chakwas said as she moved around the bed, carrying a set of clothes in her arms "I'm sure they could have been sowed back together but based on the amount of Kryptonite present they proved to be a great hazard for the rest of the grew so I incinerated them"

Clark took the clothes from her and let out a small sigh as he saw the Cerebrus logo, not the best image but it would have to do "Samara's attitude was slightly concerning" Miranda continued "she seems to want to head back onto the ship as much as Liara does"

"that's not surprising" he added as he pulled up the pants and grabbed the tight-fitting shirt "she wants to Kryptonite"

Miranda didn't look too surprised by his words, most likely having guessed this already "what should we do about it?" she asked, really not knowing. Of course, they could try and kill her because her intent would be clear but at the same time she was a Justiciar, their way into the republics. They couldn't afford to lose her like that.

"nothing" he added as he sat on the bed and reached out for the pair of black boots.

"What?" she asked surprised "Clark, if she's after the Kryptonite, then you must know what she'll do with it"

"That won't matter too much" he said standing up again "yes, she'll get some kryptonite, but she won't use it. Not yet at least" he turned and started to make his way out, though there was a slight limp in his step and he did move slower, giving a thankful nod to Chakwas "her code won't let her. The Reapers are still coming and so long as they are, she won't hurt me. Not until they're gone" there was confident tone in his voice "so for now, it won't be a problem"

The two entered the elevator and it started to go up "but why let her get it at all? Why not just tell to stay on board?"

"Because I don't want to make things harder between us" he explained as the doors opened and they met the entrance to the captains quarters "having the Kryptonite will make her feel better even if she wouldn't use it, it'll make her less hostile in the future, knowing that she has that contingency. Not that it'll work for her" the doors opened and Clark walked in immediately moving the two couch, practically falling onto it. He allowed himself to be swallowed by the fabric.

"So, I assume that I can lower the lock down of this ship?" she asked calmly.

With his eyes closed, Clark nodded "yeah, you can tell everyone that they have one hour to do what they need with that ship. After that we head towards Tuchanka. You hear that EDI?" he asked a little louder than normal.

"Yes sir, I have lowered the ships Lockdown state and preparing a shuttle. Joker has been informed that we have one hour until we depart" the A.I said back immediately.

"Oh and make sure that anyone going near the Brokers office needs to be wearing a hazmat suit, there will still be a lot of Kryptonite left there. I don't need any of the crew members developing tumours" he ordered and Miranda nodded at his words, even though the A.I didn't say anything else she knew that she would pass the message on to all who went to the ship.

Miranda waited there for a moment before turning to leave, she did want to talk about their... situation. She did but at the same time, she knew that this wouldn't be the best time for it. Clark still seemed like he wasn't at a hundred percent, and he still needed his rest. She left his room calmly, ready to prepare the ship for the trip to Tuchanka.

Across the galaxy, within the confines of the citadel council chambers. The council had just received word of the death of one of their best Specters and they also knew who was responsible for it.

Ok everyone, let me know what you think of Clark dealing with the Shadow Broker and everything that's happened after. I wasn't sure how to go about the whole Kryptonite situation but I think I handled it well considering what I could have done. Anyway, not that is dealt with. It's time for some side quests and loyalty missions.
