Hey everyone!

I have no idea where January went. Between the news about my Nan and some other stuff these updates took a while to write. I am feeling more confident about being able to write more. Writing sprints ftw on this one. I'm enjoying figuring things out and am being able to add extra things to my chapters. I really hope to get better at updating again and am going to try and update again at the end of the month... so we shall see how that goes.

Lots of love,

A Wild Heart – Part 5:

Faramir kept his eyes on Éowara as she remained silent as she sat in the chair she'd chosen. A slight smile graced his lips as he realised that it was Éowyn's favourite chair as well.

"Too like they are and yet so different as well." Faramir thought as he shook his head at Éowyn in warning to stay away from her sister and allow her the time to speak when she wished to speak.

"Her remaining silent is alarming me," Éowyn whispered as she looked from her sister to her husband.

"And forcing her into anything is likely to push her away," Faramir whispered in reply as he looked at his wife, "we need to keep her onside," he said as he squeezed her hand gently.

Éowyn looked at her sister and knew that Faramir was right. The last thing she wanted to do was push her sister away. She knew that Éowara struggled when it came to her emotions and she wore her heart on her sleeve and that was something she'd done but differently to her younger sister.

Éowyn remained silent before slowly deciding that enough was enough and she walked over to her sister, resting a hand gently on her sister's shoulder.

"The King will be setting out to Edoras soon and you will be accompanying him," she told her sister and then, when she didn't get a response, she carried on, "then the two of you shall journey to Rivendell and onto Evendim. The King wishes you to lead the rebuilding of Annúminas in the North so the seat of Arnor can be restored."

Éowara still didn't react before she turned to face her sister, eyes cloudy with a million thoughts.

"Basically a plot to get rid of me," she said after some thought, "I should have seen it coming."

Éowyn's heart broke as she processed her sister's words and she shook her head gently.

"No sister. Not at all," she said, "it's to help you find yourself again. Our parents' death affected you deeper than myself and Éomer and then you lost the love of your life and suffered, like I, at the hands of Grima. We all want to help you and you need something to focus on. This will help you to find a role in the Reunited Kingdom. You deserve a role as much as anyone Éowara," she said, eyes locked onto her sister as she watched her, "that is what we're trying to do," she said softly as she looked at her younger sister, "you are the best person to do this and you can see your Hobbit friends for as long as you like as well. I know you love to see them. Maybe you can speak to your Elvish friends as well. Yes I know all about them. Remember who our Queen is."

Éowara sighed as she remained looking out of the window and wondered how it would be to have a role back in the Reunited Kingdom but she wasn't too sure. She knew she needed something to focus on but she wasn't sure if this was the role for her. She looked at her sister and brother-in-law. Éowyn knew her on a level but Faramir also knew her in a different way to her sister.

"Why me? Out of everyone who is able to do the job why me? I'm a woman…"

Faramir chuckled as he moved to kneel down in front of Éowara.

"You are a woman who is part of the reason the Witch-King of Angmar is no more," he said, "you are strong… both willed and in mind… and you aren't forced to return as we all are. You're a free spirit, a wild and rough around the edges one but you are the perfect person for this," he added as he looked at her and smiled softly, "then, once the seat of the Northern Kingdom is restored, you will be turning your mind to the Morgul Vale."

Éowara's eyes widened as she looked at the Prince. How did he know she went there? Did she ever go anywhere without someone following her.

"How do you know I have been there?" she asked, needing to know the answer as she studied his face, "am I always being followed?"

"The King and Queen know that you have been there. You are followed when you leave safety. There are still enemies everywhere," Éowyn spoke softly as she looked at her sister.

"You are the only person who has been to the Morgul Vale and has not been corrupted by the evil which lingers there," Faramir added as he looked at her, "the evil has to lessen before anyone else goes there but you can go there even if the evil is still so strong there."

"I still do not understand why everyone thinks I am the right person for this job," Éowara spoke as she was trying to process everything. If this was their plan to make her settle down then it wouldn't work, but she couldn't deny that the longing to see her friends was strong and she would be able to explore Evendim more and maybe even venture north to Forochel and see the famous lights in the sky that she'd heard of. Maybe her friends could go with her as well.

She felt a hand on her arm and looked up seeing Faramir looking into her eyes and she looked down.

"Éowara you are the best person for this… do it for Boromir. He would want you to find something to live for," he said softly. He truly had taken on the role of an older brother to Éowara and she'd found a special place in his heart, "I know you don't believe in yourself so trust us all that we know what we are doing."

"It seems like my future for a while has been decided without any consulting me," Éowara said before feeling Éowyn's hand on her arm as well.

"Trust me sister. You have trusted me before so do it again," she spoke softly and Éowara nodded slowly and forced a small smile making Éowyn smile as well.

"I think I will go and have a walk around the City," Éowara said suddenly, "I just need some time but I promise I will not leave the City alone," she said and rose from her seat and headed out of the room. Éowyn watched her sister go and wondered what was going through her mind as she so often did.

"I trust her. There is something in her eyes that makes me believe her," Faramir said as he looked at his wife, "she needs time. A lot has been decided about her but without her allowed a voice," he said as he looked at her.

"I know. I trust her as well but she is struggling and now we have lost our uncle as well she appears to be more lost than ever," Éowyn said as she sat down and picked up her book again, "I am assuming that you will have her followed," she said and Faramir nodded before he headed out of the room and to find someone to follow Éowara around the city and make sure she didn't land herself in some sort of trouble as trouble appeared to find Éowara no matter where she was.
