Hey everyone!

Another round of updates and I need to get writing some more... which I'm about to do as soon as I have uploaded these latest updates. I have no plans to drop the bi-weekly updates. They may not be on assigned days but they will be happening still. I have some time off next month and I'm hoping that when the schools start up again it'll be a bit calmer as well.

Lots of love,

A Wild Heart – Part 11:

Éowara silently rode behind Aragorn and Éowyn as they entered Far Anórien and the King bowed his head to a hidden Wild Man, who was hidden from the sisters' eyes but not his. The two were discussing the situation in Gondor and how the two Kingdoms would be linked once the Great Roads of Middle Earth were rebuilt.

"How long do you think it'll take?" Éowyn asked as she looked at the King, "surely it cannot be a easy venture to undertake?"

"It is not. The Roads stretch for mile after mile… from Ered Luin, Forochel and Fornost to Rohan, Gondor and the Lonely Mountain in the North. I shall have to seek permission from various rulers in order to rebuild the Roads. Arnor, Eriador, will not be a problem as I have rule over the vast swathes of land and your sister will not say no to me as the ruler of the Northern Kingdom," he said with a glance at Éowyn, "at least until I announce who the ruler will be."

"Éowara cannot be the ruler of the Northern Kingdom. She's far too wild and free to be here and unable to leave but I can see that makes sense as she will be overseeing the restoration of Annúminas," Éowyn spoke as she looked at the King.

"How are we permitted to pass through these lands? The Wild Men are the rulers here," Éowara spoke pulling her sister and Aragorn back from their private conversation.

"You do not miss a single thing," Aragorn spoke with a chuckle, "I sent messengers to speak with the leader and, provided we do not give them reason to think we will harm them, they will allow us to pass through the lands. Should anything threaten us then they will come to aid us."

"Do you think there will be any danger on the roads?" Éowara asked as she looked at Aragorn.

"I do not think there will be a direct threat but there are Servants of Sauron lurking in places we have yet to discover. Do not fear. You are safe here and know how to wield a sword so I wouldn't worry about anything," Aragorn spoke as he moved his horse aside so Éowara could ride along with them as well. He could feel the solders closing the gap to make sure the three of them were safe.

Éowyn looked around and wondered where they were going to camp for the night. She looked around and there were trees and distant lights, fire from the Wild Men no doubt.

"Where are we going to camp?" Éowyn asked as she looked around, trying to figure out where they were stopping, "I can't see a suitable place to stop," she said and Aragorn looked at her.

"You'll both know it when you see it," he said, "rebellious nieces indeed," he said with a smirk.

Eventually they came to a stop and the women looked around as they wondered why they'd stopped here and then they realised where they were.

"This is near where we, the Rohirim entered Gondor," Éowyn spoke as she looked around, "where we entered under disguises…" she added as she looked at her sister, "with Merry."

Éowara nodded as she remembered back to that time and the fear and determination that wrapped around her as she and her sister had deified their Uncle's orders and had joined the Muster of the Rohirim.

Her thoughts were disturbed as she heard Aragorn ordering the accompanying guards to get the tent up. He'd made sure that there would be a dividing area within the tent so the guards would only have to watch the one tent. It would, hopefully, not be needed but Aragorn knew both Faramir and Éomer, not to mention his wife would be prepared for battle if anything happened to Éowyn or Éowara.

The latter having found an area of trees to curl up with a book for the duration the tent was being constructed.

"This is the one place she has avoided on her travels," Éowyn spoke as she stood by Aragorn and watched her sister reading the book she'd 'borrowed' from the Minas Tirith library.

"It is not too far from where Boromir fell," Aragorn spoke in reply, "she can sense it I'm sure."

"But then why didn't she feel it when we were riding to the Battle of Pelenor Fields?"

"Because of what was developing at the time," Aragorn replied before he was told the tent was ready and the three headed inside whilst a fire was stoked and made ready to cook on.

Soon the three were eating food and it was in that moment when Éowara turned to the North and heard a voice on the wind that caught her attention, almost as if whispering her name. A gasp left her lips and she was so focused on the North that she hadn't realised she'd been joined by Aragorn.

The King took her hand and led her outside the tent, Éowyn following behind silently as she knew her sister had heard something that she hadn't.

"That's where Amon Hen and Parth Galen is," he said as he pointed it out to her, "that's where Boromir made his final stand," he said.

"What happened that day? How did my fiancé die?" Éowara half-whispered, the question that had been on her lips for so long and the suspicions that most close to her had suspected all spoken in the same sentence.

"The Ring corrupted Boromir. I'd had my suspicions he would be taken," Aragorn spoke, "he realised the error of his ways and rushed to protect Merry and Pippin," he spoke, "he fought so many Orcs and Uruk-Hai that they lost a great deal of fighters but it was the arrows that pierced him. He fought to save the Hobbits but he failed and stood firm until the end," he said before wrapping an arm around Éowara as he looked at her, "I wish he could have survived for you but, alas, the battle was his end but he fought bravely until the end," he said before gently kissing her head softly.

"He was always the soldier," Éowara spoke as she remembered back to what Faramir had told her about his older brother. She looked to the North once again before heading back inside to finish her meal.

Night fell and Éowyn and Aragorn fell asleep and Éowara tossed and turned before she got up and headed to see her horse. She heard Boromir's voice once more and she mounted her horse and slipped away in the night, heading to the North and Parth Galen.
