Rainlily had woken up in a daze, feeling the hard floor under her as she had sat up. Feeling a headache already forming in her head when she took in her surroundings. Rainlily immediately noticed the door was clear, with the number 009 painted on it. She could see the hallway was dark but that didn't stop her from the fear running through her.

Bruce had tracked her in Life Foundation and pulled up all vids after deftly hacking the cameras thanks to Jarvis. Watching her in pure white scrubs, her hair loose and her jewelry gone, but she wasn't harmed.

But the big guy was boiling in anger.

Nat saw him tun green for a moment, but he was controlling himself, but it didn't look good for Rainlily.

"Blueprint confirms her location, she's underground."

"Any idea on their defenses?" Steve asked, but Clint took a deep breath.

"It's quite large, surprisingly. It shouldn't be too big of a problem, but Lily isn't the only in there…" Clint answered, pointing at the other camera feds.

"We can't just leave her there."

"What is the plan then?" Bucky asked.

"Give me a minute to hack the system, maybe we can…what the hell is that?" Tony whispered, the team watching as a tube appeared above all of the prisoners, including Rainlily in the video feed.

Rainlily looked up when an odd sound came from above her, pressing herself up against the wall in caution. With nowhere to run, she gasped when a black sludge dropped in front of her. It was pulsating, moving around a bit. It made its way to the door but it turned, if that somehow made sense to her, heading now to her direction.

Rainlily could hear the shouting around her, and she panicked, suddenly hyperventilating softly when it attached to her hand. She refused to panic but when it crawled up to her arm, she felt it sponge into her body.

Feeling like it crawled under skin, she hissed painfully before she whimpered.

"Get out of me!" She yelled, her entire body glowing white as she tried to purify it out of her.

"Regeneration, a wonderful trait. You'll make a perfect host."

Rainlily heard a voice enter her mind, her glow died down and she fell onto her knees. Sliding her hands into her loose hair, she shook her head as she felt the sudden urge of hunger. she grinded her teeth, refusing to scream in pain before she fell forward on her hands, panting heavily as she struggled to stand.

She heard a tap at the door and looked up to see a thin tall man smiling down at her.

"That was fast...interesting. Maybe it's non-hostile?"

"Open the door, we'll find out." Rainlily spat.

"A common enemy. Trust me, host, we will eat him for you."

Mentally, Rainliyl was freaking out, not sure what the voice was but that goo, it's alien- and in her.

"Prepare testing on her in the morning, as well as anyone else who survived…" The man said with a smirk before walking away.

Rainlily looked around frantically, but she began to panic when a thought hit her. Her pain had seemed to disappear, as well as the voice in her head, but she had to get out of here: fast.

"Let me help you."

Rainlily looked around in a haze, refusing to believe she heard what she heard.

Maybe she was losing her mind? She really hoped so.

Maybe the effects of no sleeping was finally taking a toll on her?

The alarm went off over her head as her door open slid open and Rainlily didn't think twice: she ran.

"Good work, Nat." Clint said with a smile; the girl had a chance.

"Pull up the other cams." Bruce spoke, going through them frantically, the team watching the feeds just as urgently.

Rainlily narrowed her eyes when she saw one of them men look at her. His eyes were dilated, his lips dry from dehydration, but his eyes were frenzied. He took a step towards her, and she took a step back, unsure what he was doing.

The man had attempted to grab her, but she high kicked him, gasping when he went through the wall. She looked at her hands alarmed but ran out of the room without a second thought.

Rainlily had ran out into the hallway when she was a door in front of her. Running full speed, she threw her shoulder into it when the door went through the wall in front of her, coming off the hinges and nearly stopped in awe.

She couldn't afford to do that though.

She kept running as she heard shots behind her, taking a short turn where she saw a few securities armed guards coming at her. She jumped, bouncing off the wall as she knocked them out. Surprised by her newfound strength, she knew something was wrong, but she couldn't stop now.

She forced herself through another door before she found herself outside, in the vast wilderness.

Holy nuggets.

She kept running as more shots came her way, with multiple vehicle engines roaring around her; she was in trouble. She felt herself inclined to climb up, an went through the trees. With nowhere else to go, she had only one option left.

She had to leave the city.

But first, she had to grab what little she had. She needed to go back to her apartment.

After so many hours of running, she finally made her way back to her apartment, and grabbed her duffle bag. Grabbing all the cash she had, her ID, and her ukulele, she was ready to leave her apartment when there was banging on her door.

"Don't answer it. Go through the window."

Rainlily didn't need to be told twice, and followed the voice's suggestion. She had quickly climbed down the ladders, making her way to the ground floor before she climbed onto her motorcycle.

"Get her!" Rainlily looked back to see a man running towards her with an SUV, and she bolted out of there.

They were hot on her tail, and she couldn't afford to do this the whole way through. Should she try for the Compound? No, she didn't know where they were even at…she was on her own.

"Let me in."

Rainlily wasn't sure if it was a good idea, everything in her body told her no, but she was out of options. Or she was really desperate…

"Okay…" she whispered under breath.

Her hands turned into a white gooey substance, taking control of the bike as it helped her zip through the traffic. Still, she had to trust it as she somehow found her way to the bay area. She got off her bike, but she knew it wasn't over.

Quite a few SUV's had approached her, and she was quickly surrounded. She had put her bag down, bringing her hands up as she felt her arms consumed by the black substance.

"I will guide us."

Rainlily defended herself as the bullets bounced off her, running at them in a vast speed before she slammed down on the cars. She grabbed debris of the cars, throwing it at them before she fought them off. She had just fought off the last of them when mores came, and she felt drained so suddenly.

Rainlily heard a loud roar behind them and was surprised when she saw Hulk suddenly approach. He landed in front of her, roaring at the enemies before he charged at them.

Once the enemies were down or gone, she yelped when Hulk grabbed her, putting her on his back. She only had a second to grab onto his neck before he leaped out of there. Rainlily held on tightly, putting her head down as he is going at such a vast speed.

Finally braving up the nerve to look up, she was exhilarated when saw New York in a new way. Soon enough, they arrived at a large building in the wilderness with the Avengers logo, and she knew she was at their compound.

When Hulk landed, she was flipped in the air, but she squealed before she landed on the ground. She coughed out before she sat up, letting out a giggle.

"Can we do that again?" Rainlily asked but she saw that Hulk was still angry.

"Careful, Lily," she looked back to see the team, plus new faces approach them carefully, "Bruce still isn't back yet. He's hard to calm down when he's like that."

Rainlily smiled sadly before looking back at Hulk; she did it before and she'd try again.

"Thank you for helping me Hulk," Rainlily said, smiling at him as she offered her glowing hand, "but can I thank Bruce also?"

Hulk roared at her, but still looked over her with a less aggressive look on his face.

"Please? I'll make those brownies you both like so much?" Rainlily asked as she approached closer.

Hulk huffed, crouching before he slowly approached her, placing his inhumanely large hand carefully on hers. It made her smile, knowing Hulk was still kind to her in a sort of way since back then. Hulk swayed before he stepped away, going into the compound before his naked form was exposed.

It wasn't something Bruce was fond of finding himself in with an audience.

Rainlily sighed in relief before she lost consciousness one last time.

When she woke up, she sat up carefully, expecting soreness but was surprised to feel nothing. Looking around, she found herself in a grey painted room in a queen size bed and saw a familiar face sitting beside her.

"Bruce?"

Bruce looked up from his book and stood up with a small smile on his face, feeling a sense of relief to see her awake now. He was worried when he saw Bucky carry her into the compound, and had a room set up for her.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" Bruce asked in a soft voice, making her smile warmly.

"Physically, I'm fine but emotionally? I'm confused, and a little scared. I don't know what's happening to me." She answered.

Bruce could hear the sadness and fear in her voice, and carefully placed a hand on her shoulder.

"We'll figure it out together. Tony and I are preparing the vids and files we got from the location, but why don't you shower and meet us down there? We're here to help, I promise you." Bruce assured her.

"Thanks, Bruce, I really appreciate this. If I didn't have you…I don't know what I'd do." She confessed but felt relief wash over.

He smiled, knowing the familiar feeling of having no one by his side. He didn't know himself what she was experiencing, but he'd help her find the answers, and learn to adjust to whatever came her way.

"I'm just glad to help," he said as he stood, "the bathroom is just behind these doors. The closet is that sliding door. Just ask for Jarvis and he'll help?"

"Who's Jarvis?"

"I'm here, Miss Rainlily," a voice came through the intercom, making her look around the ceiling, "I'm an AI created by Mr. Stark. Please let me know if you need anything."

"Oh, thanks Jarvis." Rainlily said with a smile, unsure still on how to process all this.

"I'll leave you get settled, see you in a bit." Bruce said before leaving the room, looking back at her as she waved bye to him.

She had quickly taken a shower, dressing SHIELD sweatpants and a black V-neck shirt before she slid on some socks when there was a knock on her door.

"It's open!"

Sitting on the bed, a smile grew on her face when she saw Nat walk in. She looked over their guest, as if to make sure she was in piece before she careful sat beside her.

"Hey, how are you feeling? Last night must've been a little scary for you." Nat asked, a smile on her face.

"I'm feeling okay, glad I woke up to familiar faces this time…" Rainlily answered, rubbing the back of her neck in anxiousness.

"Do you remember what happened?" Nat asked, nodding.

"It's been replaying in my head. The screams, the faces…my brain is analyzing every little detail, you know?"

"I get that, but don't push yourself," Nat assured her, "why don't you join me in the kitchen? There are a few people who want to meet you before you head over to Bruce and Tony?"

"Oh, yeah! Yeah, I'd like that." Rainlily agreed.

Following Natasha down the hall and into the living room area, Rainlily immediately grew nervous when she saw more new faces than she expected.

"Rainlily, these are mostly the rest of the Avengers. You remember Steve, right?" Nat reminded her.

"Hello again." she said softly with a smile, Steve acknowledging her with a small wave.

"Glad to see you safe." Steve said with a small smile.

"Clint Barton, nice to meet." Clint offered his hand and she gasped.

"You are amazing with a bow, just, wow. Pleased to meet you." she said, shaking his hand back.

"This handsome man is Sam Wilson, and the teen is Peter Parker." Nat introduced.

Rainlily offered her hands courteously, "Pleased to meet you both."

"Same here, you are pretty scary out there. In a good way, of course." Sam spoke.

"You were so amazing, wow. The way you handled yourself, I hope I get to train with you sometime." Peter added, making her chuckle.

"Maybe once I figure it out, yeah?" Rainlily agreed, but her eyes grew distant when she was hit with her memory of first interacting with the…thing.

A tall handsome blonde man towered over her, making her smaller than her own 5 feet form.

"Lady Rainlily, my name is Thor, God of Thunder. A pleasure to finally meet you, Banner spoke highly of you before today's incident. I trust you are well?" Thor asked and she smiled.

"Yes, thank you. Pleasure to meet you," she spoke, "by the way, love the hammer!"

Thor smiled excitedly, "Pretty amazing, right?"

"We also have Scott Lang, Vision, Wanda, and Pietro, but not here until sometime today." Nat said.

"Oh, that's okay. I'm sure I'll be gone before they arrive," Rainlily responded when her eyes laid on Bucky, "Hello Mr. Barnes."

"Hi. Bucky is fine." Bucky said instinctively, nor liking 'Mr. Barnes.'

"Why don't you get some breakfast? Do you want cereal?" Nat asked suddenly.

"Oh, did everyone have breakfast already?" Rainlily asked.

"We usually just have cereal. We don't like to cook." Nat spoke.

"Or know how to." Sam added.

"Seriously?" Rainily questioned and frowned; this wouldn't do.

Marching into the kitchen, she went through the cupboards and fridge, smiling when she knew what she could do.

"As a thank you, I can make breakfast for you guys. You have enough here for pancakes, eggs, bacon, and toast, and even hash browns." She offered.

"Oh, you don't have to, really." Steve told her but she looked at him in annoyance.

"I want to, I'm offering." She reminded him.

"I won't say no to that. Thanks, Miss Rainlily." Peter said, excited to eat.

"Please, call me Lily. My name is too long." Rainlily told them as she got to work.

For the first time, the team sat at the island; rarely did they get together like this. Bat called Tony and Bruce to join them; it seemed worth them joining.

During the middle of making the food, the remaining team walked in and Steve greeted them immediately. Looking over to the strange woman in their kitchen, but it seemed the team was talking amongst themselves with her chiming in every now and then,

"Hey, how did the mission go?" Steve asked Vision.

"Good, we reported our findings to Hill. Who's that?" Vision asked, his eyes still on her.

"That's Rainlily. She's a friend of Banner, enhanced but was captured last night." Steve stated.

"Is this involved with the roadblocks all over town?" Scott questioned.

Steve nodded.

"What happened?" Pietro asked.

"We are going to find out in detail after this but simply put: She was imprisoned and given something, we don't know what yet." Steve explained.

Bucky could see her giggling and smiling from something Sam told her before she turned around, filling up the coffee pot.

"She's a good person, Buck," Steve told him, noticing his friend was observing her, "Why don't you go introduce yourself? You as well."

"What?" Pietro questioned, but Wanda rolled her eyes before she and Scott already approaching.

"Hello, pretty lady!"

Rainlily smiled as she poured a cup of coffee, overing it to Clint as Scott came up.

"Hey there, stranger. You must be Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man."

"Oh wow, you actually got my name right!" Scott exclaimed, a big smile on his face that made her smile just as widely, "Yeah, I'm Scott. I just wanted to introduce myself, what's your name?"

"Rainlily but you can call me Lily, please." Rainlily said as she made the hash browns.

"Thanks…are you making breakfast for everyone?" Scott asked.

"Oh yeah, it's like a little Denny's restaurant up in here right now." Rainlily joked.

"Hey, I won't say no to food. I literally eat applesauce or cereal for breakfast," Scott confessed, "does this mean you're an Avenger?"

"Oh-Ho!" Rainlily exclaimed, feeling a little embarrassed, "No, no, I'm not worthy of that! I just…ran into problems last night so, I'm just showing my gratitude."

"Hey."

Lily looked up, smiling politely when she a platinum blonde man and a red headed woman approach them, Scott giving them space as he poured himself coffee.

"I'm sorry to bother. I just wanted to introduce us. I'm Wanda, and this is my brother, Pietro."

"Oh, hi, nice to meet you both. I'm Rainlily, but you can call me Lily, if you'd like." Rainlily said with a smile.

"Lily, it is then. Are…you enjoying your stay so far?" Pietro asked, surprised to see someone actually excited to meet them.

"Well, I've only just woken up but yeah, I'm enjoying it so far thank you," she spoke, "did you want some coffee?"

"Uh, sure." He said awkwardly. He wasn't particularly a fan of coffee but she looked to excited to offer, it was hard to say no to that face.

"Great!"

Pouring a cup for him, she put the sugars and creamers for him in front of him.

"Breakfast is almost ready if you're both hungry." Lily said with a smile, looking back at the pan as she flipped the pancakes.

"Thanks, we appreciate that." Wanda said before they went to sit down. Bucky had joined Steve and Scott, ignoring the stares he was getting.

Since his arrival, everyone kept their distance and didn't want to partner with him. Even after his rehabilitation in Wakanda, they were distant with him. The only people who spoke with him was Steve and Sam.

"She seems great. Honestly, I'd love to get to know the kid." Scott stated softly.

"From what I know about her, she'd appreciate a friend…" Steve said.

"Who do you mean?" Bucky asked.

"She doesn't a family. From what I understand, Bruce is the only few friends she has." Steve answered.

"Foods ready!" Rainlily chimed, smiling as she began to clean up.

Sam, Thor, Scott, and Peter swarmed the food, Nat and Tony rolling their eyes but grabbed themselves some food. Bruce poured himself a coffee as she leaned against the counter, looking down to Rainlily gratefully.

"Thanks for doing this." Bruce spoke.

"It's the least I could do," Rainlily simply said.

"Hey Supercuts," Tony spoke, "is it okay if we have a group meaning about this? That everyone is aware of the situation?"

"Supercuts?" Rainlily chuckled, shaking her head, "but yeah, that's fine with me."

"Good, why don't you get some food and take it down with me while we wait on everyone? There are some things we need to go through." Tony asked of her.

"Oh, I'm just having this," Rainlily said, grabbing a slice of toast, "ready."

Tony and Bruce looked at each other, and Rainlily felt the hair stand on the back of her neck: why did she feel like something was off?

"Because it is. Do not trust them."

Rainlily chose to follow them, knowing that Bruce was only looking out for her, but still- she was going to be cautious. Following them down to the meeting room, the rest of the team ended up joining them in a large conference room.

She was beyond nervous but didn't have the desire to sit down. Bruce saw her eyes now alert and cautious, and frankly, he didn't blame her one bit for being cautious with them. The team weren't oblivious to her stance but didn't dare to make a comment on the matter.

"Early morning two days ago you were taken from your apartment, good work on using the SOS so we could find you. I'm going to play the video of what we found, so everyone is up to date on what happened." Tony said, preparing the video before he put it on play for everyone.

Clips of her being taken from her apartment, the team watched as the vid changed over to her time in the lab. Rainlily was surprised but had wandered before.

She didn't remember but in the vid, she had apparently woken up in the lab and fought them off as she tried to escape before she was hit with electric wands, knocking her multiple times before she knocked out. The guards had dragged to her room, but she didn't know how she had forgotten that.

The next scenes she had played were familiar to her. Waking up, the tube coming down and a white goop had come down. Hearing the screams of other unknown people filled the room before the goop attached to her. Rainlily's screams and trying to resist whatever was happening to her came through the room.

Pietro, Peter, Sam, and Scott looked to her briefly before the scene when someone came and spoke with her. Her attempt to be free before the doors were opened before she defended herself against others.

The team were surprised to see her show speed and strength of a super soldier, the scene changing to her adventure in the city. With the white goop on her hands from time to time, it ended with Hulk coming in to help her escape.

"So, this was how you got here! Wow!" Scott chimed, Rainlily slightly embarrassed.

"I'm so, so, so, sorry about all that damage I put the city through. I…I panicked." She said, Tony smirking at her humility.

"I wouldn't worry about it too much, but we need to discuss what happened to you. Do you have any idea why they'd be interested in you?" Tony asked.

"No, not at all," Rainlily answered, "I'm just a regular person. I work two-three jobs, I haven't made enemies with anyone…I don't know what I did."

"Bruce said you went on a date a few months back, any chance it was them?" Nat asked, suddenly remembering that.

"Oh, Matt? He's my boyfriend but…" Rainlily frowned, was he involved?

"Do you have his information?" Tony asked, and she nodded.

"Yeah, phone number is 555-555-7549. Matthew Yates, he works at a bank as a loan specialist. Bank is called New York National Bank." She stated.

"You didn't tell me it was serious." Bruce stated but she shrugged.

"It's not, I was planning to break up with when they next saw him. He was cheating with the girl at my salon job." Rainlily said simply.

"Damn…" Sam muttered, shaking his head.

"It's possible this was at random. And the people that died there...for something like that, you'd grab people that others wouldn't really miss." Rainlily stated.

"That makes sense." Tony muttered, but Thor was confused.

"I'm confused, what do you mean?" Thor asked.

"There had to be over 20 rooms in there, each with one person," Rainlily told him, "And there as traces of old blood in there-so there had to be others there before. We haven't heard anything in the news about them. So that means they're grabbing people who they know no one would report missing."

"Have you no family?" Wanda asked but Rainlily looked down immediately, shaking her head.

"Or they are maybe they're growing desperate." Steve stated, helping remove the focus from her.

"Maybe, but in the meantime," Tony said, approaching her,

He took a disk out of his hand and offered it to her. She looked at him suspiciously, but took it without asking, "I want to say…I'm sorry kid."

Before she could ask, glass broke around her as pieces of Iron Man suit was clasped around her. Being dragged out of the room from the window, Bruce grabbed Tony's suit jacket, clearly upset.

"Tony, we agreed to gain her trust first!" Bruce shouted.

"You saw what she did, we need to contain her while we figure out what she is." Tony countered.

"She's just a kid!" Bruce shouted before he ran out of the room, knowing exactly where she was taken.

Rainlily landed in a room, walls surrounding her that was a clear but clearly thick. The pieces flew away from the room before the room imprisoned her. She was beyond mad, feeling a sense of betrayal; it hurt her knowing it was Bruce.

She pounded on the walls as the team came in, Bruce approaching her, but Tony was right behind him. Bucky felt upset for her, knowing fully well how she was feeling as she screamed in frustration. Her eyes watered, clearly upset but she took a step back, looking around feverishly as she took in her space.

"Bruce! How could you do this to me!?" Rainlily shouted, clearly crying as it fully hit her how serious her situation was. She really thought that if anyone could protect her, defend her, and look out for her, it was him; she wouldn't make this mistake again.

"She can't see us…" Tony advised them before he pushed the button on the wall.

"This is just a precaution, Supercuts, until we figure out what exactly is attached to you. We need to find a way to remove the parasite in you."

"Parasite!?"

Rainlily's eyes flashed black for a moment before she was dropped to her knees, a large black mass consumed most of her body. Bruce and Bucky attempted to take a step forward but Tony and Steve held them back. Hearing her grunt as she attempted to fight the mass, her hair came curtained as she looked up at them with fear in her eyes.

A black mass came out from behind her neck, making her gasp as it came around her shoulder to the wall, a head forming. The team took a step back, alarmed by such a sight. It was all black with white eyes; it's sharp teeth horrifyingly large.

"What are you?" Bruce asked, looking at the creature in awe.

"I am Venom, and I loathe the word parasite. I am a symbiote, and I have no quarrel with you, but you have upset my host."

"Why don't you remove yourself from her, huh? Why don't we talk about this?" Tony asked.

"We cannot separate. To separate would inevitably lead to my possible death, if not her. I require a host to survive, and out of all my hosts in the past, she is the only one who is compatible for us."

"Then tell us why you are here?" Steve asked.

"Only a few of us came to your planet, each with our own purpose. Come came to conquer you, as others came to simply bond with a host, to find a purpose; a peaceful one."

"Guessing by the vid, we know the others are wanting to conquer." Clint muttered under his breath.

"And why is Rainlily a good host?" Bucky asked, wanting the answer.

"Our new host can heal physically; it's a perfect pair to our Venom, best of both worlds. I will use her to conquer this world."

"And what will make you leave her?"

"I will not leave her. Even if I did, she would not be harmed, I promise you. We are one...and I will decide when."

Venom looked to Rainlily, taking a good look at its host, and smiled at her, "You know that I will control you. You are to do my bidding, little one."

Rainlily was still worried, what would this mean for her?

"Now, we must leave. This cage will not hold us, you are to rise and allow me control."

Rainlily shook her head, refusing to stand even as it tried to force her.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

Rainlily shook her head, refusing to given in. Remembering her trauma, her childhood, what she endured...she swore herself to not be controlled...

"Why are you still holding back?"

"Lily..." Bruce whispered, the team nervous by Venom's angry tone.

"Have you forgotten what they said to us? What they did to your trust?

Rainlily felt the ooze force her up stand, but she grunted, her body turning white in glow,

"Look at where they put you. They think you're a monster! Prove them right!"

"No!" Rainlily shouted, the black mass over her body disappearing but Venom still watched her.

"Why do you fight? You are more powerful than them, you don't need them. You will only need us."

"Am I mad? Of course, but they had good intent," Rainlily said, panting heavily, "but I am your host. You can go, find yourself another host, but I will not hurt anyone."

"You are no fun...but you are willing to co-exist with me."

"Just until they stop looking for you." Rainlily said.

"Uh, that's not a good idea SuperCuts. You don't know what this...Venom is capable of. And it wants to conquer us, did you not hear that?" Tony reminded her.

"We...are willing to try co-existing. You...are a strong host. I would like to see why you fight to save this pitiful world, little one."

"I believe in chances, and we should try to see if this works out." Clint sugggested.

"Agreed, we should try." Nat agreed.

"Well, as one who was given chances, I agree also." Scott agreed.

It seemed that Tony was alone on this one, "Fine, but we should run tests on this. We need to know what makes it stronger, and what weakens it- take precautions."

Rainlily nodded, but Venom wasn't done, "We do need two things to survive; we don't need to have both. One or other, if you'd be kind to help us."

"What's that?"

"The chemical is phenethylamine. It is a source in two items here on earth. Brains and chocolate; that's all we need."

Rainlily's eyes widened, before she chuckled nervously, "Chocolate or brains. I…I can get us some chocolate sure."

"Good, because we hunger. Now."

"I have some in my backpack, I'll go get it." Peter said before scrambling out of there, but Rainlily looked over to the glass.

"Let me out, please. I-I need to process this and…I can't handle small spaces for long time. I'm claustrophobic." Rainlily pleaded.

"Open it, Tony." Nat spoke, and he sighed.

The glass came up and Rainlily let out a breath of relief, Venom disappearing.

"Well, that wasn't weird at all." Sam muttered but her eyes were filled with hurt and anger.

"As fun as that was, I would've come down here willingly, you know." Rainlily stated.

"To be fair, I know you would've. I just didn't know if you're…friend would of let you. We didn't know what we were working with." Tony stated but Rainily sighed.

"I get it; precautions and all. Still, I appreciate this...i was afraid for a moment there." She said softly, feeling unsure how to really feel.

"Your feelings were justified," Nat spoke as she approached her, "don't be hard on yourself."

Rainlily smiled and merely nodded, but Bruce approached her, realizing they needed to think of the next steps for her. IT was clear they were going to look for her, and with the other symbiotes loose, who knows what she'd encounter.

"So, what are you thinking right now?" Bruce questioned.

"Ugh, I don't know," Rainlily said, running a hand through long loose hair, "probably take my bag and hit the road again? I have enough cash to buy a small RV, maybe? Start a new life on the road, take odd jobs."

"That's not ideal, you know." Bucky told her but she shrugged.

"Wouldn't be my first time doing it; it's doable." Rainlily said, missing the pitiful look on his face.

"Why don't you stay with me? My apartment has a spare bedroom, and you know me- I'm no stranger and I can help you learn your limitations with…Venom." Bruce offered.

"I…I really appreciate that, but this is my problem, I don't want to inconvenience anyone." She countered but Tony wasn't taking the chance.

"Stay here then, my offer to join us is still open. If the other symbiotes are loose, they'll be looking for you too." Tony stated.

"I don't want to be trapped down here, as wonderful as the ride was to get here." Rainlily said making Bruce chuckled.

"We have dorms here, why don't you pick one here?" Bruce asked and Rainlily was still feeling conflicted.

"Come, I'll show you the rooms- you can pick which one you like the most," Nat said, hooking her arm with Rainlily's as she escorted her out of the room, "honestly, I'm glad to have another girl here."

"I'll do my best," Rainlily said softly, "but thanks. Thanks for welcoming me."

"Welcome to the team, Lily."
