Author's note: I am aware that Disney is making an official third instalment to the Frozen series but I still want to make this story on what I think would make an interesting third movie.

Also Happy 10 years to the original Frozen.

Hope you all enjoy.

Snow is a beauty, she brings winter's joy

but she is cold and can destroy.

White as a sheet and a cooling blue

She covers the earth in winter's hue.

She rides the northern wind over the tundra

Looking to bring pain or wonder.

FROZEN III

Chapter I

The Legend of the Magic Snowflake

Snowflakes fell gently down, dancing in the winter twilight sky as the Aurora Borealis painted the air with mesmerising light green and purple alongside the stars that twinkled like silver diamonds with the crested moon looking down at the peaceful land. Seagulls nested on masks of docked ships, and foxes began their nightly hunting, as wild reindeers sought shelter in the nearby forests from the bitter cold. The people of Ariendlle settled down for the night as one by one, the lights in the kingdom were put out and street lamps were lit.

In the castle, the king and queen walked down the corridor to their daughters' bedroom, the former holding a candle that served as the only source of light in the otherwise darkened pathway. As they came near the door, they could hear the two girls laughing as they played with each other.

"And then the Snow Queen saved everyone from the evil sorceress." The eldest daughter cheerfully said.

"And then she and the Prince kissed and lived happily ever after." The younger sister added.

"Blah."

Their parents chuckled before he knocked on the door.

"Anna, Elsa." King Agnarr said as he and his wife came in to see them playing with toys made of snow.

"Bedtime." Queen Iduna added.

"Arr." Anna groaned.

"Ten more minutes, please," Elsa begged.

"Alright, but that means your mother and I can't read you a bedtime story."

Immediately the princesses rushed into the oldest bed. Elsa used her powers to remove the snow.

"Now what story would like me to read?" their mother asked.

"The Magic Snowflake," Anna suggested in excitement, holding up a blue book with a picture of a snowflake.

"It's our favourite," Elsa added excitedly.

"Alright then. The Magic Snowflake." Iduna opened the book and her daughters came in closer to look at the beautiful illustrations that covered the pages, each perfectly matching the text to a tea.

"Once upon a time, there was a snowflake. This snowflake was unlike any other before or after it, for it held remarkable powers. It could control the magic of the seasons, making the flowers bloom during spring, the sun shine brighter in the summer, and paint the sky with fallen leaves during the autumn but most of all it could make every day a snow day during winter. Its powers brought great joy to many, but they also brought grave danger for its gift could also bring out the worst of the seasons, making life difficult for people to live. Many cruel people tried to catch it and use its powers for themselves hoping to create an eternal winter but the snowflake escaped hiding in an enchanted land hidden from the rest of the world, a land inhabited by magical creatures of good and evil. It is believed that the Snowflake to this day is still there keeping itself hidden in the heart of the land, safe from the prying eyes of darkness. If one were to find this snowflake then they could use its gift to bring either sorrow or joy. Many have tried to go after The Magic Snowflake but none propelled. Maybe someday someone will find it. Maybe it could be you."

Iduna closed the book. Anna had already fallen asleep halfway through while Elsa still listening with wide eyes.

"Do you think the story is true?" She asked as her father carried Anna to her bed.

"It might be." He said as he placed his daughter into bed. "I remember when my grandparents told me about when they saw it."

"They saw it?"

"They did. They were amongst the last to see it before it disappeared from this world."

"Why did some people want to use its powers for bad?"

"Some people have frozen hearts that can never be thawed even by the kindest acts of true love." Her mother explained. "And to them, the only thing that matters is being more powerful than anyone else."

"Not ever family?" Elsa asked.

"Not even family."

"Do they have powers, like mine?"

"I don't know, but you're not one of those people." Her father reassured her. "You love your sister don't you?" Elsa nodded. "And your mother and I?" She nodded again. "That's why you're not evil. You're a good person Elsa, and know when you're queen, you're be a great leader."

"And you are already a wonderful older sister to Anna."

"Thank you, papa, thank you mama."

"Goodnight Elsa."

"Night papa, night mama."

Agnarr and his wife left the room as their daughters fell asleep. As they made their way to their bedroom the king noticed an uneasy look on her face.

"Is something bothering you Iduna?" He placed his hand on her shoulder.

"I'm just worried about her. You know not everyone is accepting of magic." She started. "What if the people of Arendelle do think she's a Monster?"

"We'll do whatever it takes to make sure they see her for who she truly is." He reassured her.

"I just hope that nothing happens to them when we're gone."

"As long as they have each, they'll always be safe."

"I hope you're right."

"I know they will. Besides they've got your spirit." He smiled a bit. "Especially your misfit-vie side."

"I wasn't that misfit-vie at their age."

"Yes, you were."

"I wasn't."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm hundred percent certain."

"Oh really? Because if I recall correctly you had a habit of sneaking up behind me and tickling me."

"You mean like this?" She playfully tickled him from the sides.

"Yes like that." He laughed. When she finished he turned to face her. "They'll be fine. Even when we're gone."

She smiled a little before they continued walking to their room.
