Hi! This is my first fic in the fandom and I'm super excited to share it with you! I've had this idea in the middle of the night, and just couldn't get it out of my head ever since. I hardly ever write fluff, but oh well, codywan makes me feel things - and this is the result. English is not my main language, so as always I'm sorry for all mistakes. I'll be gratefull for every kudo and comment. Hope you'll like it. Enjoy!

"Alright, that's enough," Cody stated suddenly, putting his fork down.

Across the table, Obi-Wan stopped mid-bite and blinked at him, confused.

"Hm?"

Cody pointed with his chin towards his plate of mostly untouched food. "If you thought I wouldn't notice you've been wincing since we started eating, then you were wrong. I don't need the Force to know you're in pain. Is it your tooth that hurts?"

Obi-Wan shook his head and smiled softly, but it seemed forced. "No, Cody. I'm fine," he said and took another bite, but as if on cue, he winced again. Cody sighed at the Jedi's stubbornness.

"You need to go to the dentist," he stated.

And if he hadn't been looking closely, he might have missed the strange feeling that for a split second flashed across Kenobi's face. It disappeared, however, before Cody could think about it any further. Obi-Wan shook his head again.

"There's really no need for that. I can handle it, I'll take a painkiller if it gets worse."

"Oh, come on. I know Sticker well, he will fix your teeth like no one else in our medical unit. He's the nicest guy ever."

"Huh. No doubt."

Obi-Wan suddenly fell silent and stared at his plate, where he began mindlessly digging with his fork, and Cody frowned, not understanding his behavior and trying to find some logical explanation for it.

And then the answer came by itself.

"You're scared," he said, making Obi-Wan flinch and curl in on himself, which only confirmed his suspicions. Cody felt a wide smile spread across his face. It was one of the most adorable things he had ever learned about his General.

The Jedi groaned as he realized he couldn't hide his secret any longer and buried his face in his hands.

"It's pathetic," he muttered. "I'm fighting in a war, and I feel terrified at the mere mention of something as mundane as a dentist appointment." Cody knew he meant it. In his mind, it was probably a sign of weakness that he couldn't afford. But after all, Obi-Wan was only human, and little things like this were a reminder of that - and perhaps more necessary than it seemed.

Cody reached across the table to place a hand on his forearm and smiled soothingly.

"It's not pathetic at all. Actually, it's quite normal to feel scared, but you Jedi may not know it." This earned him a quiet laugh from the man. He put his hands back on the table and Cody continued. "But there's no point in waiting it out, Obi-Wan. Let me get you to Sticker. I'll be there with you the whole time if it makes you feel more confident. I'm sure you won't even notice when it's over."

Obi-Wan sighed, but smiled eventually. He leaned his head down and placed a kiss on the hand that Cody still had on his arm.

"Thank you, dear. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Fortunately for them (or unfortunately, if you asked Obi-Wan), they didn't have to wait long for the appointment. The clone medic Sticker welcomed them into his office with a pleasant smile and a handshake.

"It's nice to finally meet you, General Kenobi," the man said. "My name is Sticker, and I will take care of you and your teeth today. Don't worry, the drugs we have here are pretty good, so you won't feel a thing. Now please sit down and make yourself comfortable."

"Of course," Obi-Wan nodded, but when Sticker turned away for a moment, Cody noticed how he suddenly tensed. He walked over to the dental chair and sat on it hesitantly.

Sticker, now with a mask over his face, turned back to them.

"Thank you for bringing the General to me, Cody," he said to his brother. "You can return to your work. I promise I'll return him in one piece."

Cody glanced at Obi-Wan. There was that feeling in his eyes again. Cody had no problem identifying it anymore. It was panic.

He turned his gaze back to Sticker. "Actually, I'd like to stay, if you don't mind."

Sticker smiled warmly at both of them. "Of course I don't." Cody nodded gratefully and walked over to Obi-Wan, where he sat down on the chair next to him. Obi-Wan smiled at him, and Cody could see his muscles relax slightly. "Okay," Sticker said, putting on his dental goggles and rubber gloves and standing over Kenobi. "Please open your mouth, sir, and we'll see what's going on there. I'll give you some anesthesia and then we can start."

Obi-Wan did as he was told and looked for Cody's hand with his fingers. Cody found it and held it tightly in his as Sticker began the procedure, and didn't let go until the end.

When it was all over and the aching tooth was extracted, they both breathed a sigh of relief. Sticker removed his goggles, mask, and gloves and patted Obi-Wan on the shoulder.

"All done. You did well, sir. No eating or drinking for at least the next two or three hours. I recommend placing a cold compress on your jaw to prevent swelling. It's completely normal if it swells, though, and it may hurt a bit for some time. It's a fresh wound, it needs time to heal. But if you're concerned about anything, you can always come to me."

Obi-Wan blinked at him, seeming to understand little of what the medic told him. He was still slightly disoriented from the anesthesia. Cody had to hold back a laugh.

"Got it," he said for him. "I'll make sure the General takes care of himself."

"That's great." Sticker went to one of the cabinets and took something out of the drawer. "I normally keep them for slightly younger patients, but I think I might make a small exception this time. Here, General. You earned it."

Cody watched him place a sticker on Obi-Wan's chest that read, "The Doctor Says I Was Brave Today!". Obi-Wan looked down at it and frowned.

"Sticker," he said slowly after a moment of silence. Then he looked back at the medic and smiled widely, pointing his finger at him. "Sticker." Sticker smiled back and chuckled.

"Yeah."

"Can Cody get one, too? He was braver than I was."

"Oh, sure he can."

Sticker handed the second sticker to Obi-Wan. With slightly uncoordinated movements, the Jedi placed it on Cody's right cheek. He smiled, clearly pleased with the result. Cody laughed.

"Thank you, Sticker," he said and shook his brother's hand, then turned to Obi-Wan. "Let's get you to bed."

When they got to their quarters, instead of going to bed, Obi-Wan insisted on sitting on the couch. They sat down, pulling their legs under them and cuddling into each other. Cody covered them with a blanket.

"It wasn't all that bad, huh?"

"No," Obi-Wan mumbled, settling himself comfortably on Cody's chest and pressing the ice pack to his jaw. "I like Sticker."

"Told you you would."

"But he's not the nicest guy ever." Cody looked down at him, raising an eyebrow. Obi-Wan smiled sleepily. "You are."

Cody couldn't hold back his laughter any longer. He wrapped his arm around Obi-Wan and kissed the top of his head.

"Thank you, my brave little patient."
