Chapter 1
The night was October tenth, and everything seemed to have tended many of the shinobi, and even some civilians. Though it couldn't be explained, their was an evil in the air that would put chills down the nine tailed beast.
Minato Namikaze, the fourth Hokage, he was currently looking down at the village, experiencing the same uneasy feeling. His newborn son, Naruto, was just born a few hours prior. Suddenly, a large explosion was seen in the western part of the village.
"So, it's time." Minato thought as he vanished in a yellow flash. When he arrived on the scene, the sight began to put the blond man in a state of disgust. Many villagers had been slaughtered in the most brutal way possible.
"Who are you?" Minato asked as he stood across the strange figure. Stepping in the street light, the man revealed himself to be wearing a black set of robes, brown needs across his chest and hands. He held a black scythe firmly in his hand with three prongs at the end. The biggest feature that Minato saw was the skeletal structure of the man.
"Haha!" The figured laughed evilly. He charged towards the Hokage with his scythe, nearly clip the man in half, drawing only a little bit of blood. However, the man was soon met with the Rasengan planted into his chest.
"Who are you, why did you attack the leaf?" Minato asked, adding more aggression in his tone. Without receiving another answer, multiple sharp needles were sent flying. Thankfully, Minato managed to avoid with only a few minor cuts.
Shocking the Hokage, the man created a symbol that he stood in the center of.
With one stab to his chest, Minato dropped down, coughing up blood, in absolute pain. Many shinobi had arrived to the scene, immediately getting medical aid to the Hokage.
"Lord Fourth!" Shouted the Anbu, only to see the man walk off like nothing happened.
"Just get him!" Minato ordered while using all his strength to get to his wife and child. Not many people knew this, but Minato had been well aware of who the man was, and he feared that both his wife and son were in grave danger.
Kushina Uzumaki, the clan head of the Uzumaki clan, and the wife of the fourth Hokage. She was currently rocking her son, while singing a softly lullaby. Like the other shinobi, she was aware of the eerie presence that entered the village.
It was because of this, Kushina and Naruto went to one of Minato's safe houses. The security seals were so high grade, that not even a shinobi that's kage level shinobi could enter. Soon, a glass hit the ground, and Kushina decided to enter her protective mother mode.
"What do you want? How did you get to this place?" Kushina asked, placing Naruto in his crib, and draw her two swords.
The man simply pierced his gaze at the woman with his cold red eyes. When he drew his scythe, Kushina's Adamantine sealing chains wrapped themselves around the man. When she gazed into the cold and demonic eyes, the red head was met by a demonic laughter.
"Okay, creep. I'm going to make you regret that you ever tried messing with us." Kushina said while going through hand seals. However, she soon found her shoulder with a gash from his scythe that extended.
This further pissed Kushina off, and she tightens her grip on the man, only to receive a darker sinister laugh. Kushina pulled the man closer and pierced her sword through the man's heart, delivering a killing blow.
Almost as quickly as she stabbed the man, blood splattered across Kushina's chest, and she dropped down, dead. The chains receded back to her. The man walked over casually to the dead corps, and after a slight grunt, the red chakra that was forming around Lushina faded away.
What only the former Hokage, his wife, the three sannin, and her husband knew, Kushina was the Jinchuriki of the Kyuubi No Kitsune. It seemed the man managed to absorb the fox for his own purposes. The cry of Naruto was heard, and this brought the man's attention to him.
Looking down at the blond haired newborn, crying. The man gave a slight smile. Instead of piercing the baby, the man took a small knife and stabbed his own hand, allowing a few drops of blood to land in the baby's mouth, causing him to stop, and fall asleep. Following up, he softly placed his hand on Naruto's on hand, transferring the
Kyuubi inside of the blond with a unique seal. Suddenly, the underground room exploded with multiple shinobi, including a heavily injured Minato.
"Kushina! No! Hey, get away from Naruto!" Minato shouted as he charged at the mysterious man, only for the man to vanish.
"Go after him, now!" Minato ordered as he quickly got to his son, and teleported to the Hokage's office. The shinobi didn't argue, and left after the man.
During the night of October tenth, many of the shinobi that the strange individual encountered, they were slaughtered like animals. As the man stood before the Hokage monument, he smiled sinisterly, until Minato appeared.
"You. Why are you doing this? Were you after the nine tails?" Minato asked weakly, clenching his chest from his previous wound. Without answering the Hokage, the man drew his scythe out.
"Lord Fourth!" Shouted to Anbu members that appeared. One has long brown hair with the mask of the turtle, and the other had the mask of a dog, with gravity defying silver hair.
"I want you two to go to the Hokage's tower. Naruto is in there, remain until I return." Minato ordered.
"Lord Fourth, where is Lady Kushina?" Asked Turtle.
"I'm sorry. It seems he got to her before I could. Now go!" Minato ordered and the two Anbu vanished in a body flicker.
"You are a brave one, Minato Namikaze." Said the high pitched voice, that was filled with a sinister tone (think of Babidi from DBZ).
"Who are you?" Minato asked, gripping his kunai tightly.
"The God of Evil." Said the strange man as he extended his scythe that managed slice at Minato's leg. This caused the blond to grunt in pain. The man proceeded to create another symbol beneath him that consisted of a triangle with a circle around it. Following up with his actions, the man pierced his body with the end of his scythe, causing great injury to the fourth Hokage.
Minato was on the ground in a pool of his own blood. He was using all his strength to hold on. Jumping down, many of the leaf village jonin, and Hiruzen Sarutobi, the former Hokage, had arrived to the scene. "Minato!" Hiruzen declared.
"Lord Third, you must, you must be cautious… The man, he, he is different." Minato said through the pain.
"Different? What do you mean?" Hiruzen asked as he gazed into the man's demonic red eyes.
"Look, there." Minato said weakly, and when the Hokage's eyes saw the seal, his eyes went wide.
"Everyone! Get back! Do not engage, I repeat, do not engage!" Hiruzen shouted until a squad of incoming ninja attacked the man suddenly. At the same time, as the man had swords, kunai, and all kinds of weapons in his chest, Minato had received the same injuries, causing him to die on the spot.
"Haha!" The man laughed sinisterly, while pulling the weapons from his body, and walking towards the village gate like nothing happened. Everyone remained silent, paralyzed with fear, including the powerful Hokage.
When the man stepped out of the village, it was if the man's appearance had never been there, aside from the multiple dead bodies. "Alright, I want all Jonin to search the area, and make sure the threat is gone! Chunin, go assist the injured shinobi, and I want any genin to assist with any and all civilians, now!" Ordered Hiruzen, and without hesitation, they left.
At the same time, the Hokage proceeded to the tower, and saw both Turtle and Fang. "Why are you two here?" Hiruzen asked in a sharp tone.
"Lord Third, Lord Fourth has ordered us to remain here with Naruto." Said the brown haired woman.
"Naruto? You mean he is alive?" The former Hokage asked as he walked over to see the blond haired baby. What caught Hiruzen off guard, the symbol that the man stood over appeared.
The elder man sighed. "Okay, okay, Kakashi, Rin. I'm assigning you both to watch over Naruto. There has been quite the disaster. Lord Fourth and Lady Kushina have been killed. At no time are you to let Naruto out of your care." Ordered Hiruzen.
"Yes, Lord Third." Both Anbu said, and the former Hokage left the office to further assist the village.
"I can't believe Lady Kushina, and Lord Hokage are dead." Rin said as she had tears running on down her face. Kakashi sighed and gave his teammate a tight hug.
Both Anbu were snapped out of their thoughts from the sound of Naruto crying. Rin quickly picked the boy up, and began rocking him, and whispering soothing words to him. "There, there, it's okay. Aunt Rin is here Naru." Rin said, trying to calm the crying baby.
A few hours passed, and a council meeting was currently being held. The council room was set up with the Hokage, alongside his two advisors before him, and the civilian side on his left, and the shinobi on his right. The civilian side was made up of merchants, and many of the kage's administration, while the shinobi was primarily full of clan heads.
"Alright, as you all know, the village received a deadly attack. While the physical damages were not that bad, the loss of Lord a fourth has greatly damaged this village." Said Hiruzen.
"Lord Fourth has been killed?" Asked Tsune Inuzuka, the clan head of the Inuzuka clan. "What about Lady Kushina?" Tsune asked.
"I'm sorry, Tsune. But both Kushina and Minato were killed on this evening." The elder kage said.
"What could have caused this?" Asked Fugaku Uchiha, the clan head of the Uchiha clan.
Hiruzen sighed. "It seems that we were attacked by a stray rogue. This shinobi had no visible affiliation to any group or village. Even myself found this shinobi to be mysterious." Hiruzen said.
"What of Minato and Kushina's son? What has happened to him?" Asked a Hiashi Hyuga, the clan head of the Hyuga clan.
"Baby Naruto is alive and well. He's currently in the care of Kakashi Hatake, and Rin Nohara. Due to the circumstances, I am leaving him undytheor care due to their relationship to Minato and Kushina." Hiruzen said, deciding not to reveal the extra information to anyone.
"While the loss of Minato and Kushina is a great tragedy, we need a new leader. I recommend Jiraiya for the fifth Hokage.
"As I agree with you on needing a new leader, I must inform you that I have already decided on this matter. While in most cases, I would resume the position, Tsunade Senju has returned to assist with Kushina's birth. After speaking with her, she has agreed to become our fifth Hokage." Hiruzen declared.
"Huh? Tsunade has returned? That's great news." Inoichi said.
"Indeed. Now, due to the damages being minor, and everything has been said, I would like to end this meeting. We could all use a night of rest." Said Hiruzen, and the meeting came to an end.
At the Namikaze residence, Tsunade was inspecting Naruto with her student Shizune. As she inspected the blond, the strange marking appeared on his chest. When the former Hokage arrived, he began explaining everything he knew about the seal, and has reason to believe that Naruto was somehow affected by the man directly.
"As stated, you and Kakashi will watch over Naruto, and become his official guardian. Tsunade, you and Shizjne will be the only ones allowed to perform any medical duties on him." Hiruzen said.
"Understood." The four said, and the life of Naruto Namikaze has begun, and the members inside that room could only imagine the life ahead of him.
