She can't believe how she can be at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport…in Hawaii…on the island of Oahu…waiting to meet the man of her dreams. At least, she hopes he'll be the man of her dreams. The last time he texted her was before his flight took off. Looking at the arrivals board, she sees his flight is still on time and should be arriving soon. Rey hugs herself and sighs as her mind wanders to the day Ben Solo came into her life.
Rey never had a relationship, a real relationship, last longer than a year. No man ever stayed with her long because they only wanted one thing. But she was never ready. And, of course, because she said no, they would leave her. Rey all but gave up on relationships. She wanted a man who could be her best friend, be there for her, be the one she would want to hold hands with when walking around or watching movies, and reach up to kiss his cheek when she thought he was being so cute she wouldn't be able to keep herself from him. Her friends Rose and Jannah convinced her to make an online dating profile just to appease them but never expected to find anyone on there.
The first match the app ever made was Ben Solo. As Rey looks on at the arrival board again, she smiles to herself as she remembers their first few online conversations. She opened herself up to him and found Ben really easy to talk to. The first time he sent a picture of himself to her she thought she wasn't worried. But when she sent a picture of herself to him, she never expected his reaction to be one of excitement or joy, even one of admiration of her beauty.
He was the first man she ever felt she could truly be herself around and he's the only man who could make her heart pump madly beneath her breast…the only man who made her want to touch herself. Rey bites her lip and blushes to herself. A fuzzy announcement comes over the airport intercom pulling Rey from her happy memories and she looks at the arrival board again. Her eyes light up when she sees Ben's flight information flashing on the board. Ben Solo has touched down on Oahu.
