Hey, everyone. Here is Chapter 15 of the United World Arc. I gotta admit. I didn't think I would get to work on this chapter with my birthday, Thanksgiving and getting ready for Christmas. But here it is. I hope I did a good job.

Chapter 15: The Price of Power

Field: Scale 2 Oafdragon Magician, Scale 8 Timegazer Magician, Supreme King Angel Dragon – Odd-Eyes Cyber Dragon (ATK: 4500, LV: 12, PS: 13), 2 set cards.
Genesis LP: 3500, Hand: 1
Field: Scale 0 Alpha Dragon, Scale 13 Omega Dragon, Genesis Omega Dragon (ATK: 0, LV: 10, PS: 0), Field Magic: Land Before Time, Continuous Trap: G.O.D's Loyalty, 1 set card.
Genesis looked at Yuya with hatred. "Damn it, he managed to get back his Life Points. Those wretched Guardians."
"Rio…" Yuya put his hand on his heart. "I'll give you back your Chaos as soon as this is over. I promise."
"Now, Genesis! It's your turn!" Yuya shouted.
"My turn! Draw!" Genesis drew her card. "Due to my effect, my Attack Points go up by 1000!"
G.O.D. (ATK: 0→1000)
"Next, I activate the Magic Card: Scale Fusion! This card allows me to use cards in my Pendulum Zone as materials for a Fusion Summon! I fuse Alpha and Omega Dragon!" Genesis' two dragons entered the spiraling vortex.
"Dragon of the beginning! Dragon of the end! Merge into one and create a new dragon born from the world of darkness! Fusion Summon! Appear! Level 10! Darkness Dragon (ATK: 4000, LV: 10)!" Genesis summoned a dark-skinned dragon with its bones coming right out of its skin.
"My Field Magic: Land Before Time's effect activates! I gain Darkness Dragon's Attack Points!" Genesis pointed her finger at her dragon form as it gained power.
G.O.D. (ATK: 1000→5000)
"Darkness Dragon's effect activates! I destroy all Magic and Trap Cards in my Magic/Trap Zone and set five random cards from my deck!" Genesis' two cards were destroyed and five new cards appeared.
"Five cards and at random." Yuya narrowed his eyes.
"Furthermore, I'm allowed to activate them this turn! Double Trap, activate! Alpha Zero! Omega Infinity!" The two cards opened. "When these two cards activate, I can activate all the cards in between them! Triple Trap Open! Beta 101! Gamma 102! Delta 103!" Genesis other cards opened.
"Beta 101's effect activates! I can select one Dark Attribute monster on my field and it gains 1000 Attack Points this turn! I have Darkness Dragon gain 1000 Attack Points!" Darkness Dragon gained more power.
Darkness Dragon (ATK: 4000→5000)
"Next, Gamma 102's effect! Until the End Phase of my turn, my opponent cannot activate any Magic, Trap or Monster Effects!" Genesis shouted.
"Tch…" Yuya clicked his tongue.
"Battle! Darkness Dragon, attack Odd-Eyes Cyber Dragon! Dark Hell Blast!" Darkness Dragon unleashed its blast and it destroyed Odd-Eyes Cyber Dragon and damaged Yuya.
Yuya LP: 4000→3500
"At this moment, Delta 103's effect activates! When a Dark-Attribute monster successfully destroys an opponent's monster, all cards on my opponent's field, hand, Graveyard and Extra Deck returns to his deck!" All of Yuya's cards flew into the sky before returning to his deck and it shuffled.
"Damn…" Yuya cursed.
"With a Direct Attack from me, this Duel would be over. But because I used Darkness Dragon's effect, I can only attack with him. With this, I end my turn." Genesis finished.
"At the End Phase, Darkness Dragon's effect makes me shuffle the Magic and Trap cards on the field into my deck. And its Attack Points return to normal." Genesis cards returned to her deck.
Darkness Dragon (ATK: 5000→4000)
"With this, we are even in Life Points. But you have no cards in your hand." Genesis pointed out.
"It's not over, yet…We're just getting started."
Rua vs Roget

Field: 1 set card.
Roget LP: 4000, Hand: 3, SC: 1
Field: Supreme King Murderous Dragon - Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon (ATK: 3000, LV: -8).
Rua was covered in bruises and cuts from Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon's attacks. "That attack…it wasn't normal…"
"Such power…I can't believe that this was sleeping within Yuya Ryuga the whole time…" Roget giggled. "With this, I can take my place as the rightful king of Neo Domino City!"
"You're no king!" Rua argued. "The people of Neo Domino will never accept you!"
"Do you think I care about them accepting me?! All I have to do is defeat you and once Genesis defeats Yuya, we will rob the people of the United World of their hope and I will make each and every person of Neo Domino beg for death as I make them and their loved ones suffer!" Roget laughed.
"Don't underestimate them! Even if we lose, they will fight back! The United World will never lose to trash like you!" Rua shouted.
Roget sighed. "And this is why children need to be disciplined the old-fashioned way. I set two cards and end my turn!" Roget finished his turn.
"My turn! Draw!" Rua drew his card.
Rua LP: 1300, Hand: 2, SC: 1→2
Roget LP: 4000, Hand: 1, SC: 1→2
"I summon Deformer Copier (ATK: 0, LV: 1)!" Rua summoned a copy machine to the field. "I activate Copier's Attack Position effect! Once per turn, I can switch this monster to Defense Position to Special Summon a Level 1 monster from my hand! Appear! Deformer Mobahon (ATK 100, LV: 1)!" Rua summoned his phone. "Mobahon's Attack Position effect! Dial On!"
Mobahon's numbers blinked before landing on 5. Rua picked up the top five cards of his deck. "Yes! I Special Summon the Tuner Monster, Deformer Remocon (ATK: 300, LV: 3)!" Rua summoned his remote to the field.
"I'm Tuning my Level 1 Deformer Copier and Deformer Mobahon with my Level 3 Deformer Remocon!" Remocon spelled out Tuning before turning into three green rings and Copier and Mobahon flew through them and became two stars together.
"Ultimate machine that is able with the ability to reduce and reuse materials appear now in order to make the world much greener! Synchro Summon! Appear! Level 5! Gadget Recycler (ATK: 2300, LV: 5)!" Rua summoned a Gadget monster.
"Gadget…" Roget looked back at Rua's new monster.
"I activate Gadget Recycler's effect! I'm allowed to Special Summon a Machine-type monster from my Graveyard and equip this card to it! Return! Power Tool Revolution Dragon (ATK: 2300, LV: 7)!" Rua brought back his ace. Gadget Recycler then changed its shape and attached itself to Power Tool Revolution Dragon.
"Battle! Power Tool Revolution Dragon, attack!" Rua shouted.
"You fool! My Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon is much more powerful than your pathetic toy!" Roget said.
"I'm not attacking Genocide Dragon! The monster that is equipped with Gadget Recycler is allowed to attack the opponent directly by reducing its Attack Points in half!" Rua revealed.
Power Tool Revolution Dragon (ATK: 2300→1150)
"Direct Attack!" Power Tool Revolution Dragon bypassed Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon and struck Roget.
Roget LP: 4000→2850
"I end my turn!" Rua finished his turn.
"Is that really all you can do? If that is, I'm really disappointed." Roget brushed his shoulders. "My turn! Draw!" Roget drew his card.
Rua LP: 1300, Hand: 0, SC: 2→3
Roget LP: 2850, Hand: 2, SC: 2→3
"I activate my Continuous Trap: Nothingness Machine – Ain! If I control no monsters, I'm allowed to summon a Level 10 or higher monster without releasing, however, its Attack Points will be reduced to 0!" Roget said.
"You're gonna summon a Time Machine God." Rua questioned.
"A single Time Machine God. Don't be ridiculous. I sent Nothingness Machine – Ain to the Graveyard to activate the Continuous Trap: Infinite Machine – Ain Soph! As long as this card is on the field, I can Special Summon Level 10 or higher monsters from my hand, but their Attack Points are reduced to 0! Furthermore, I can negate the effects of Time Machine God that prevents summoning monsters!"
"That means you can summon as many Time Machine Gods as you want!" Rua's eyes widened.
"Correct! I Special Summon these two from my hand! Appear! Time Machine God Sandaion (ATK: 0, LV: 10!" Roget summoned a yellow Time Machine God. "And time Machine God Raphion (ATK: 0, LV: 10)!" Roget summoned a green Time Machine God.
"Two Machine Gods and a Dark Synchro Odd-Eyes monster…" Rua sweated.
"Battle! Time Machine God Sandaion, attack Power Tool Revolution Dragon!" Sandaion launched his attack.
"I activate Gadget Recycler's effect! When the monster that is equipped with this card is attacked, I can unequip this monster and negate your monster's attack!" Gadget Recycler removed itself and pushed Power Tool Revolution Dragon out of the way.
"So, you avoided the attack. If Sandaion had successfully completed his attack, you would have been inflicted with 4000 points of damage. But I still have more monsters! Raphion, attack Gadget Recycler!" Gadget Recycler unleashed his attack.
"I activate my Trap Card: Synchro Evasion! When I have two or more Synchro Monsters on my field, I can treat one of them as a Level 1 Tuner Monster and perform a Synchro Summon and end the Battle Phase!" Rua quickly played his set card.
"You little punk." Roget was getting upset.
"I'm Tuning my Level 7 Power Tool Revolution Dragon with the now Level 1 Tuner Monster, Garbage Recycler!" Garbage Recycler turned into a single green ring and Power Tool Revolution Dragon flew through the ring and his armor began to crack.
"The echoing courage and power that resides in your heart! Unleash it to break through your armored prison and protect the planet! Synchro Summon! Appear! Guardian of the Crimson Dragon's servants! Life Resolution Dragon (ATK: 2900, LV: 8)!" Rua summoned his dragon.
"The dragon of the Crimson Dragon. That being said, you can't use its effect to destroy my monsters, for one, Power Tool was summoned back from the Graveyard, so you can't use Life Resolution Dragon's effect to destroy my monsters, and even if you did have that effect, Time Machine God's cannot be destroyed, the only one you could've gotten was Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon." Roget examined.
"I ended your Battle Phase; you can no longer attack!" Rua said. "And your Time Machine Gods will return to your deck during the Standby Phase! All I have to do is summon a monster stronger than Odd-Eyes Genocide and on my following turn, I'll win!"
"But if I draw another Time Machine God, I'll have a chance." Roget pointed out.
"Don't you get it! You guys may win a few times, but in the end, true victory always goes to us!" Rua declared.
"Well then by all means, destroy Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon. I end my turn!" Roget finished his turn.
"My turn! Draw!" Rua drew his card.
Rua LP: 1300, Hand: 1, SC: 3→4
Roget LP: 2850, Hand: 0, SC: 3→4
"I activate Gadget Recycler's effect from my Graveyard! By banishing this card from the game, I can add two Gadget Monsters from my deck to my hand!" Rua added two new cards to his hand.
"I summon Gadget Gamer (ATK: 300, LV: 3)!" Rua summoned a gadget monster that looked like a game system. "When Gadget Gamer is Normal Summoned, I can add one Level 1 Machine monster from my deck to my hand!" Rua added another card to his hand.
"Then, I activate Gadget Gamer's Monster Effect! By releasing this monster, I can Special Summon a Deformer monster from my hand and then Special Summon Gadget Trailer from my hand or deck! I Special Summon the Tuner Monster, Deformer Smahon (ATK: 100, LV: 1) from my hand! Then from my deck, Gadget Trailer (ATK: 1300, LV: 6)!" Rua summoned two machines.
"I activate Deformer Smahon's Attack Position Effect!" Smahon's numbers started shuffling before landing on two. "If any of those two cards is a Deformer card, I can add it to my hand!" Rua flipped the top two cards of his deck and he added one of them to his hand.
"Next, I use a Speed Counter to activate the Magic Card: Junk Box, this card lets me Special Summon a Deformer monster from my Graveyard! Revive! Deformer Mobahon (ATK: 100, LV: 1)!" Rua brought back his phone monster.
Rua SC: 4→3
"Mobahon, Dial on!" Mobahon's numbers blinked before stopping at one. Rua looked at the top card of his deck. "I Special Summon Deformer Cleanen (DEF: 0, LV: 1) in Defense Position!" Rua summoned a vacuum cleaner.
"I activate Deformer Cleanen's Defense Position effect! Once per turn, I can equip one Attack Position monster on my opponent's field to this card as a Equip Card!" Rua revealed.
"What?!" Roget was surprised.
"My target is Time Machine God Sandaion!" Rua pointed to Sandaion. Cleanen powered up and sucked in the Time Machine God. "Your Time Machine God cannot be destroyed but that doesn't mean their immune to effects!"
"Damn you…" Roget cursed.
"But my turn's not over yet!" Rua showed the other Gadget Monster in his hand. "This monster cannot be Normal Summoned, but by returning three Deformer monsters from my field to my hand, I can Special Summon it! I return Cleanen, Mobahon and Smahon to my hand!" Rua added the three Deformers back to his hand.
"Appear! Gadget Wings (ATK: 0, LV: 8)!" Rua summoned a Gadget that transformed into a pair of wings.
"Damn it. Because it was an Equip Card, Sandaion was sent to the Graveyard." Roget cursed.
"Gadget Wings can become an Equip card for a Dragon or a Machine-type monster! I equip Gadget Wings to Life Resolution Dragon!" Gadget Wings attached themselves to Life Resolution's wings.
"Next, Gadget Trailer's Monster Effect! By sending any number of Deformer monsters from my hand to the Graveyard, Gadget Trailer gains 800 Attack Points! I send the three Deformer monsters to the Graveyard and Gadget Trailer gains 2400 Attack Points!" Rua's trailer got more power.
Gadget Trailer (ATK: 1300→3700)
"Battle! Life Resolution Dragon, attack Time Machine God Raphion!" Rua ordered and Life Resolution soared towards the Time Machine God.
"What?! You're attacking my Time Machine God?!" Roget's eyes widened.
Life Resolution Dragon struck Time Machine God Raphion. "At this moment, Gadget Wing's effect activates! When the equipped monster attacks, at the start of the Damage Step, the monster that it battles is returned to the opponent's deck!" Gadget Wings expanded and grabbed Time Machine God Raphion and threw him away that he turned into a light that returned to Roget's deck.
"Damn it…" Roget cursed.
"Now for the last monster! Gadget Trailer, attack Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon!" Gadget Trailer aimed its cannon at Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon and fired. The blast went so fast that it pierced right through Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon, destroying it and damaging Roget.
Roget LP: 2850→2150
"I set one card and end my turn!" Rua finished his turn. "How do you like that?! Doesn't matter if it's a cheap Odd-Eyes or a Time Machine God, I'll handle them and protect the United World!"
"Cheap Odd-Eyes, huh?" Roget smirked. "It seems you still don't get it."
"What?" Rua questioned.
"I told you before that Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon is a monster that show's Yuya's true feelings towards the world. It's from his power and now that you've destroyed it…" Roget laughed and he showed a screen of Yuya facing Genesis.
"Argh!" Yuya fell to his knees.
"Yuya!" Rua cried out.
"Since you destroyed Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon, you've made him and Odd-Eyes much weaker. You may have a chance to win this Duel, but if you win, Yuya will lose!"
"That's…you're wrong! Yuya will definitely win!" Rua shouted.
"He's facing Genesis, the dragon who began everything. You really think that a punk like him has a chance against a divine being?" Roget questioned. "He may have had the chance if you hadn't destroyed Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon. He's going to lose thanks to you."
"No…" Rua looked at Yuya with worry.
Yuya vs Genesis
Yuya grunted for a bit as he held his chest before the pain went away. "Another Odd-Eyes was destroyed, but it probably got revived."
"His Life Points didn't go down but I can clearly tell that one of the Odd-Eyes monsters I gave to the others was destroyed. They probably brought it back." Genesis thought.
"Odd-Eyes…get ready. We're gonna strike again hard." Yuya thought.
"I'm ready. Let's do this, together with our friends!" Odd-Eyes roared.
"Here I come, Genesis!" Yuya raised his right hand and it glowed.
"That's!" Genesis's eyes widened.

Genesis LP: 3500, Hand: 1
"Light and strength, gather to my hand! All the Duels of the strongest Duelists are ordained by inevitability! Even the cards they draw are created by the Duelist! Shining Draw!" Yuya drew his card.
"My effect activates! I gain 1000 Attack Points!"
Genesis Omega Dragon (ATK: 5000→6000)
"I activate the Magic Card: Guardian Bond – Odd-Eyes/Sylphine! This card allows me to Special Summon Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon and Zero Bird Beast Sylphine from my Extra Deck! Then, I can treat Sylphine as a Level 7 monster as perform an Xyz Summon!" Yuya summoned his monster and Rio's.
"This time Rio Kamishiro." Genesis grumbled.
"I Overlay Odd-Eyes and Sylphine!" The two monsters entered the spacelike portal that Yuya created from his Duel Disk.
"Dragon with dichromatic eyes, gain the power of the ice and put the stop on our foes! Xyz Summon! Appear! Rank 7! Odd-Eyes Snow Dragon (ATK: 3000, RNK: 7, OVU: 2)!" Yuya summoned a different version of Odd-Eyes Absolute Dragon.
"Rio…" Yuya thought of his friend who said goodbye to him.
"Odd-Eyes Arctic Dragon!" Yuya unleashed the Chaos that Rio gave him. "Chaos Xyz Change!" Odd-Eyes Arctic Dragon evolved.
"Dragon with dichromatic eyes, emerge yourself in the frozen tundra and become the habitat for all creatures of ice! Chaos Xyz Change! Appear! Supreme King Ice Dragon – Odd-Eyes Arctic Dragon (ATK: 3000, RNK: 7, OVU: 3)!" Yuya brought out a blue skinned Odd-Eyes dragon with ice scales and its breath froze the air itself.
"I activate Odd-Eyes Arctic Dragon's effect! By using an Overlay Unit, it can decrease the Attack Points of all monsters on my opponent's field by 1000! I use all three to decrease Darkness Dragon and Genesis Omega Dragon's Attack Points by 3000!"
Darkness Dragon (ATK: 4000→1000)
Genesis Omega Dragon (ATK: 6000→3000)
"Damn it…" Genesis cursed.
"If I attack Genesis Omega Dragon, she'll use her effect to negate the attack. Therefore…" Yuya knew what he had to do. "Odd-Eyes Arctic Dragon, attack Darkness Dragon! Spiral Ice Ray!" Odd-Eyes created a ray of ice that spiraled towards Darkness Dragon, freezing and shattering it instantly and damaging Genesis.
Genesis LP: 3500→1500
"At the End Phase, for every Overlay Unit that was sent to the Graveyard, Odd-Eyes Arctic Dragon's effect lets me draw one card each." Yuya drew three cards. "I end my turn."
Rua vs Roget
"Don't worry, I'll give you a second chance." Roget put his fingers on his deck. "My turn! Draw!"
Rua LP: 1300, Hand: 0, SC: 3→4
Roget LP: 2150, Hand: 1, SC: 4→5
"I use a Speed Counter to activate the Magic Card: Time Treasure! By banishing a Time Machine God in my Graveyard, I can draw one card for every two Levels of the banished monster! I banish Sandaion who's Level is 10! Therefore, I draw five new cards!" Roget drew five cards.
Roget SC: 5→4
"Next, I use another Speed Counter to activate the Magic Card: Resurrection of the Dead! I revive Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon (ATK: 3000, LV: -8)!" Roget brought back Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon.
Roget SC: 4→3
Rua looked at the screen with Yuya and saw him getting his strength back. "If I destroy Odd-Eyes Genocide again…" Rua thought.
"Next, by banishing Nothingness Machine – Ain, Infinite Machine – Ain Soph and Infinite Light – Ain Soph Ohr from my hand, field and Graveyard, as well as another Speed Counter, I can activate the Continuous Magic: Infinite Dark – Hell Gate!" A dark gate appeared on the field.
Roget SC: 3→2
"Using Infinite Dark – Hell Gate's effect, I'm allowed to Special Summon two Time Machine Gods in my hand and treat them as Dark Tuners with a Level of 2!" Roget revealed.
"What?!" Rua gasped.
"Appear! Time Machine God Kamion (ATK: 0, LV: 2)! And Time Machine God Hailon ATK: 0, LV: 2)!" Roget summoned two Time Machine Gods.
"Behold! The ultimate power!" Roget's body changed as his skinny self was no more and now, he became extremely buff with Dark Signer Marks all over his body and he laughed maniacally.
"I'm Double Dark Tuning my Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon!" Kamion and Hailon turned into four black stars and they went inside Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon and extracted the eight black stars and soon all twelve started revolving around Roget.
"Dragon with dichromatic eyes, surrender yourself to the abyss of darkness and bring about the world's end! Dark Synchro! Appear! Supreme King Dark God Dragon – Odd-Eyes Zero Reverse Dragon (ATK: 5000, LV: -12)!" Roget summoned an even more dangerous Odd-Eyes monster.
"Zero Reverse…" Rua trembled as he remembered Zero Reverse again.
"When Odd-Eyes Zero Reverse Dragon is summoned, the effects of all cards face-up on my opponent's field are negated!" Roget shouted.
"No!" Rua cried as he saw Life Resolution Dragon losing support from Gadget Wings and Gadget Trailer lost power.
Gadget Trailer (ATK: 3700→1300)
"Now it's time for you to die! Battle! Odd-Eyes Zero Reverse Dragon, attack Life Resolution Dragon! Minus Energy Burst!" Roget made Odd-Eyes Zero Reverse Dragon unleash a breath attack of negative energy.
"I activate my Trap Card: Gadget Assistance! For this turn, all Gadget monsters on my field become Equip Cards to a monster on my field and that monster gains their Attack Points! However, their Equip effects are negated!" Gadget Trailer broke itself down and attached itself to Life Resolution Dragon.
Life Resolution Dragon (ATK: 2900→4200)
The attack struck Life Resolution Dragon. "Thanks to Gadget Assistance, the equipped monster isn't destroyed." Rua grunted.
"But you still take damage!" Roget laughed as Rua screamed in pain as the damage overtook him.
Rua LP: 1300→500
"Th-This is…" Rua saw Zero Reverse happening in front of him again. He saw Kazama and his grandfather dead. He saw the Tops and Commons injured. He saw his friends losing their spirit to continue on.
"This is how Yuya felt during and after Zero Reverse. I knew it affected him in a bad way, but as a leader, he must've put a lot of responsibility on himself." Rua thought.
"Your very lucky. Had my dragon destroyed your monster, you would've taken double its Attack Points as damage. But there's always next time. At the End Phase of my turn, I can send one monster from my deck to the Graveyard and have Odd-Eyes Zero Reverse Dragon gain that monster's effect! I send the Ultimate Time Machine God Sephylon to the Graveyard! I end my turn!" Roget finished his turn.
"Sephylon's Monster Effect is that it can Special Summon as many Timelords from my hand, deck and Graveyard and have their Attack Points 4000. Also, I can negate the effects of any monster that it battles and gain their Attack Points. My victory is assured. Check." Roget smirked.
"That Dark Synchro Monster is strong, way stronger than anything I've ever faced. Not even Scar Gold Nirvana Dragon can take him on." Rua looked at the screen of Yuya facing Genesis.
"If I destroy Odd-Eyes Zero Reverse Dragon, I'll be putting you into a corner. But I can't let Roget win. I can't…what should I—" Rua looked at his arm and his eyes widened. "My mark…that's right, Grandpa told me about this mark."
Ai vs Yuzu, Ruri, Rin and Serena

Ai LP: 2600, Hand: 2
Field: Dark Knight Ignister (ATK: 2300, LNK: 3), Light Dragon Ignister (ATK: 2300, RNK: 4, OVU: 1), Field Magic: Ignister AiLand.
"Man, you ladies are really making me try here." Ai commented. "That being said, you might want to throw in the towel. I just defeated two of the Nature Dragons on my own and one of them was in their evolved form."
"It's not over yet. We're fighting for something important. When we have that, we won't lose!" Rin shouted.
"Oh, but why do you say it like that idea is just for you?" Ai asked. "I mean, everyone even the cruelest of people have something important to fight for. What makes you the exception?"
"That's…" Rin couldn't really answer because Ai had a point. Everyone had something important to fight for.
"I get you have to get your children back, but there are other ways to do that." Ai said.
"You don't understand! Genesis…she…" Rin trembled at Genesis holding her son. "Just end your turn already!"
"I set one card and end my turn." Ai finished his turn.

"My turn! Draw!" Rin drew her card. "I summon the Tuner Monster, Wind Witch – Tech Bell (ATK: 0, LV: 1)!" Rin summoned a small bell.
"I activate Tech Bell's effect! I can use this card as well as Wind Witch monsters in my hand for a Synchro Summon! I'm Tuning the two Level 3 Wind Witch – Freeze Bells in my hand with the Level 1 Tech Bell!" Tech Bell turned into a single green ring while the two Freeze Bells flew through it and became six stars together.
"With your beautiful wings that change along with the season, strike down the enemies that pollute your territory! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Wind Witch – Cyclone Dragon (ATK: 2500, LV: 7)!" Rin summoned her dragon.
"Next, from my hand, I activate the Equip Magic: Summer Wind! With this, when a Wind Witch monster destroys an opponent's monster in battle, the destroyed monster's Attack Points are dealt as damage to the opponent!"
"Battle! Cyclone Dragon, attack—" Rin was gonna order an attack.
"Whoa, at this moment, I activate my Trap Card: Cunning Lightning! With this card, I'm allowed to use Light Dragon's effect during my opponent's turn! I activate Light Dragon's effect, by using an Overlay Unit, I can destroy monsters on the field equal to the number of Ignister monsters on my field! I destroy Cyclone Dragon!" Light Dragon destroyed Cyclone Dragon.
"Damn it!" Rin cursed loudly. "I set two cards and end my turn!" Rin finished her turn.

"My turn! Draw!" Ai drew his card.
"I activate my Trap Card: Revenge Tornado! When Cyclone Dragon is in my Graveyard, I destroy all monsters on my opponent's field and for each one destroyed, they take 500 points of damage!" Rin's trap destroyed Light Dragon and Dark Knight and damaged Ai.
Ai LP: 2600→1600
"Not bad…" Ai complimented.
"It's not over!" Ruri spoke up. "I activate my Continuous Trap: Bird-Wind Assistance! I can only activate this card when both Lyrical Eagle Dragon and Wind Witch – Cyclone Dragon are in the Graveyard, I can revive one of those monsters and their Attack Points are raised by the other dragon's! I revive Cyclone Dragon and have him gain Lyrical Eagle's Attack Points.
Cyclone Dragon (ATK: 2500→5000)
"Ruri, thanks." Rin smiled.
"We couldn't take him on alone, but together we can defeat him!" Ruri said.
"There you go again, saying something that makes you the exception." Ai called out. "You think you're just taking me on? I guess you haven't been paying attention to my moves."
"You're moves?" Rin questioned.
"Guess you need another demonstration. From my hand, I summon the Tuner Monster, Bururu Ignister (ATK: 600, LV: 3)!" Ai summoned a green monster.
"Then I activate the Continuous Magic: Council of the Ignister! With this card, once per turn, I'm allowed to Special Summon one Ignister monster from my Graveyard and then immediately afterwards use it as a material for a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz or Link Summon, otherwise all Ignister monsters on my field are destroyed." Ai revealed.
"A card with the risk of destroying all of your monsters?!" Yuzu was surprised.
"There is no risk when you believe in your friends." Ai lectured. I Special Summon Doyon (DEF: 1600, LV: 4) from my Graveyard!" Ai brought back his dark monster. "I'm Tuning my Level 4 Doyon with my Level 3 Wind Attribute Bururu!" Bururu turned into a green ring with the number 3 while Doyon turned into a purple ring with the number 4. The two overlapped then turned into seven blue rings.
"Chaos that roams the dark road! The gale that soars the blue sky will bring the path! Synchro Summon! Appear! Level 7! Wind Pegasus Ignister (ATK: 2300, LV: 7)!" Ai summoned a Synchro Monster.
"Link, Xyz, and now Synchro. He has access to all the summoning methods." Yuzu sweated.
"Not all of them." Ai answered. "I don't have any Pendulum Cards in my deck, that being said it doesn't mean that they are my weakness. My comrades are able to take care of that for me."
"Your comrades…" Ruri said.
"At this moment, Council of Ignister's other effect activates! When I successfully Fusion, Synchro, Xyz or Link Summon an Ignister monster, I can Special Summon a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz or Link Ignister monster from my Graveyard! Revive! Fire Phoenix (ATK: 2300, LNK: 3)!" Ai brought back his phoenix.
"Now he has four monsters on the field." Yuzu sweated.
"But they're no match for Cyclone Dragon's power that Lyrical Eagle blessed it with." Ruri said.
"Wind Pegasus's effect activates! For every Ignister monster on my field, I can destroy that many Magic and Trap cards on my opponent's field!" Ai smiled.
"What?!" Rin gasped.
"I'll destroy all of your set cards and Bird-Wind Assistance!" All of the girls' cards were destroyed.
"When Bird-Wind Assistance is destroyed, the dragon that Special Summoned via its effect is destroyed." Ruri sadly stated as Cyclone Dragon was destroyed.
"If he attacks…" Rin sweated.
"I end my turn." Ai finished his turn.
"What?!" The girls gasped.
"I'll give you two more chances." Ai said. "If you can't defeat me by then, I'll end the Duel send you back to the Human World."
"Damn you…" Serena growled.
Rua vs Roget
Rua looked at his mark. "Grandpa told me about this mark. This mark allows the one who has it to unleash the full power of the Crimson Dragon. But…"
Synchro Dimension – Godwin Penthouse
"Rua, may I see your mark?" Godwin asked.
"Sure." Rua rolled up his sleeve and showed his mark.
"I see…I feared as much." Godwin said.
"What do you mean? I thought you said those that had the Mark of the Crimson Dragon would have the power to save the world." Rua said.
"I did say that, but the Crimson Dragon was supposed to have only five Signers. For the Sixth to appear, the Mark of the Heart, it means that your fate is sealed." Godwin said somberly.
"My fate is sealed." Rua said.
Godwin took out an old parchment and it showed a man with the Heart Mark of the Dragon. "The Sixth Signer is a unique person, different from the other five. The Signer who wields this mark has the power to unleash the full power of the Crimson Dragon, a power that is strong enough to overpower the God Cards of legend. But with such power comes at a cost. After using that power, the Sixth Signer…dies."
"Die…" Rua looked at his mark. "So…I'm going to die."
"Rua, I hope the day never comes where you have to use the full power of the Heart Mark. But if you do have to use it, ask yourself this question."
Rua vs Roget
"Am I willing to give up everything to protect what is important to me?" Rua looked at Yuya and then down at his locket where it had pictures of his family. He then saw a folded paper. It was the letter that his grandpa gave him before he died. He was supposed to read it when he changed Neo Domino but he never did. Rua opened the paper and read it.
"Hi, Rua. This is your mother. If you're reading this, then that must mean that Neo Domino City has finally changed for the better. No more Tops, no more Commons, a city where everyone is equal. It's too bad that neither me nor your father were able to see it happen. But we both know that you had a hand in changing the society. How did we know, when I had a sonogram with you and Ruka, the doctor said that your heartbeat was so strong that it was beating better than mine. A heart like that has the power to do anything."
"Unfortunately, my heart is about to stop in a matter of days. I just hope that it's still beating so I can meet you and your sister. If my death is to be via childbirth, then I will gladly give everything I have so that you two can have a chance to see the future. We haven't even met, but I'm willing to give up everything for you and your sister, including my life. Life your life to the fullest, take good care of your sister, make lots of friends, and one day, when we meet again, we can hear your story. The story of a hero I love. Mom."
Rua finished reading the letter before putting it away in his locket. "Mom…Dad…Grandpa…Ruka…Bruno…" Rua put his hand over his mark. "Thank you for everything." Rua's mark then released a powerful light, creating a crimson beacon over him.
"What?!" Roget was surprised by the light.
"My turn! Draw!" Rua drew his card.
Rua LP: 500, Hand: 1, SC: 4→5
Roget LP: 2150, Hand: 0, SC: 2→3
"When I have Life Resolution Dragon on my field, I can activate this Trap Card from my hand! I activate the Trap Card: Final Life!" The card showed Life Resolution Dragon giving up his power to a weakened Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon.
"When I have Life Resolution Dragon on the field, I can treat is as a Tuner Monster, and then I can Special Summon a Dragon-type monster from the Graveyard and treat it as a Level 4 monster and perform a Synchro Summon!" Rua shouted.
"Fool! You don't have a Dragon-type monster in your Graveyard!" Roget mocked.
"I said a Dragon-type from the Graveyard, I never said which Graveyard!" Rua shouted. This made Roget gasp.
"Come to my field, Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon!" Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon appeared.
"Life Resolution Dragon, let's give Odd-Eyes hope!" Rua's mark glowed brighter and hotter as Rua's skin began to burn off. "I'm Tuning my Level 4 Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon with my Level 8 Life Resolution Dragon!" Life Resolution Dragon roared and turned into eight gold rings and they went around Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon, the gold light taking away all of Odd-Eyes Genocide Dragon's maliciousness and darkness.
"Dragon with dichromatic eyes, take in the power of the light of hope and shine bright for the future of the world! Synchro Summon! Appear! Level 12! Odd-Eyes Life Dragon (ATK: 4000, LV: 12, PS: 4)!" Rua summoned a new Odd-Eyes that had similar outlook than Genocide Dragon, only instead releasing warm light and was radiant.
"A Synchro Summon using a Synchro and Dark Synchro Monster…" Roget couldn't believe what he saw.
"Odd-Eyes Life Dragon's effect activates! It negates the effects of all monsters with a lower Level than this card!" Rua revealed.
"But, it's still weak—" Roget was gonna argue.
"Odd-Eyes Life Dragon's other effect! If my Life Points are lower than my opponent, its Attack Points are doubled!" Odd-Eyes Life Dragon roared.
Odd-Eyes Life Dragon (ATK: 4000→8000)
"8000 Attack Points?! This can't be!" Roget panicked. "But if you attack now, Yuya will…"
"Yuya won't be losing anything today! Battle! Odd-Eyes Life Dragon, attack Odd-Eyes Zero Reverse Dragon! Life Spiral Burst!" Odd-Eyes Life Dragon unleashed a golden light burst attack that instantly disintegrated Odd-Eyes Zero Reverse Dragon.
"No!" Roget was consumed by the light and his body began to turn to ash. "My kingdom! My rule! This can't be!"

United World – Neo Domino City
A portal opened and Rua zoomed right through it before falling off his D-Wheel and hitting the ground hard. Rua's Mark of the Dragon started to fade away.
"My duty…as the Sixth Signer…is done…" Rua thought as he laid on the ground. "Yuya…everyone…the rest…is up to you…"
Life Resolution Dragon's card glowed and he appeared over Rua. His role was done, he did what he was meant to do, but that didn't mean he didn't form a close connection to his owner.
Life Resolution Dragon heard Rua's heartbeat getting slower and slower and then…
Life Resolution Dragon let out a sad cry as the Mark of the Heart on Rua's arm was completely erased.
