I was honestly excited to see Cassandra after so long. Even now the outline of the Gloriana-class Battleship was coming into view. This kinda reminds me of my youth when my family and I were waiting at the airport for my dad to return from Afghanistan. Happy moments all around, though I don't know if this was going to be hugs and go home or me trying to defuse a bomb in the shape of a primarch. As the massive ship got closer my eyes began to make out the battle damage of the ship's melted armor, large holes, and blackened spots. As the ship got even closer, I unraveled my psionics and a wave of depravity washed over me from a little under half of the space marines onboard. I cringed on the inside as I would have to help fix all this.

Once the Night Lord's flagship, The Nightfall, finally docked the workers began their task of fixing the ship. A large docking tube extended and connected with the battleship. Once everything was connected the massive door to the Night Lord's ship opened revealing not but a pitch-black interior. A few small lights peered out from the darkness moving towards the docking tube. Ship grew men and women exited the ship looking pale as all hell and having a hanging light source from their gear. Most of them looked happy to get off the ship.

Tapping my thigh with my fist a few times, I started down the docking tube. I was not wearing any armor, as I had yet to be given any. From what I have been told it was still being designed and crafted but I was promised it before The Nightfall would depart again. So, for the moment I wore a simple shirt and pants that was common among the middle class of Tarra. I had a bag of my other personal prefects, and I had my, now working and battlefield ready, Psi-Shard Gauntlets.

As I neared the Nightfall, my psionic senses told me of a squad of marines who were lying in wait just beyond the darkness. Once my eyes adjusted to the dark, I noticed their armor was primarily a dark blue with streaks of thunderbolts running down their armor. Each of their armor had different trophies hanging from their armored plates. I also noticed only two in their number was male, the rest were female.

I could sense their depravity as one of them spotted me and pointed me out to the rest of her squad. A part of me wanted to see what they were going to do, the other part did not want an angry primarch going all Doom Slayer on her own legion. I decided to side with the latter, with my psionics I influence their minds to classify my presence as nothing out of the ordinary. The effect was instantaneous as the lead marine alerted the others that I had disappeared.

Once I was on board the Nightfall and out of sight of the squad I began making my way to the upper decks. I kept up my psionic field allowing me to pass by the crew and marines without problem. I finally made it to the bridge where the Nightfall's fleet Admiral was going about his duties. Torun Keshr was his name, and he was as stoic as his file said he would be. Even surrounded by all these icons of death and monsters his face betrayed no fear. I undid my psionic influence and approached the Admiral.

He spotted me and turned to face me, he looked me up and down. "Can I help you… marine?"

"Orders from the Empress." I declared, handing him my orders.

He took them from me and read through them. Yet he remained stoic as he ever was. "Very well… Legatus. I can summon the Primarch."

"Don't worry I'll just follow the gloom." I replied, turning and making my way out of the bridge. I could already sense her as it is. She was suffering, my heart ached for her.

I once again deployed my psionic influence around me. Before long I arrived at the door that led to Cassandra's chambers. She was inside, tormented by her visions, I could hear her painful grunts from here. It pained me to be away from her for so long, forcing her to endure her visions alone. Before I knocked at the door, I reached out with my Psionics and blocked her visions. The effect was instantaneous as the grunts stopped. Yet there was a sudden commotion from inside the room, Cassandra was quickly moving around the room at speeds far beyond any human. The door also seemed to have been magnetically sealed all of a sudden.

'Uh.'

It took about ten minutes, but Cassandra stopped running around her chamber like a mad woman. Suddenly the door unsealed and opened revealing Cassandra's inner chamber. It was a stark difference from the rest of the ship. While the ship was dark and decorated with corpses and symbols of the Night Lord's bloody trade. Cassandra's room was reminiscent of our "royal" room back on Nostramo. It was far better lit and held the same tapestries of the nobles of Nostramo. However, I did notice a small drop of blood here and there. The furniture also looked like it had just been moved in. Yet my eyes were quickly drawn to the armored figure sitting by the only table in the room.

This was the first time I had seen her armor in person. It looked like her armor in lore, blue with golden trim, but lacking the gore from her victims. The only thing I noticed was that her chest plate came out a little more, obviously to keep her breasts from compromising the effectiveness of the armor. Basically, one was not going to notice her "boob plate" unless one was really looking. I had to admit… I was… girls in armor was always a quiet kink of mine.

"Permission to enter my Lady Primarch." I asked the woman, taking on a fake official tone.

"Do not ask for what is already given." Cassandra bit back, as it would seem she was not in the mood.

'Alright, time to calm the scary lady.' I thought as I walked in the door shutting behind me then locking. 'Ominous.'

As soon as the door closed, Cassandra was before me and next I knew I was in a bone crushing hug. She pressed her head against mine. She was trembling, holding onto me as if I were a life line, not too far from the truth in all honesty. I felt a witness against my cheeks. She was crying.

"I'm sorry." She whispered her voice was as shaken as her body. "I'm so sorry."

It did not take me long to figure it out.

"For forcing you to live." She continued sobbing. "I kept you alive for my own selfish reasons. You are the only one who could keep my visions away and keep my mind clear. I put my own selfish needs at the expense of your own suffering. When you died, I could think of nothing else than rage… and despair. The visions came back, and my mind began to betray me. I was given a vision of a golden giant not long after you died. I witnessed her power and I believed that she could bring you back. Bring you back to me. All I had to do was hold out until she arrived."

"I spent those twenty years ruling Nostramo, clutching to my memories of you. I tried to forgive, to show mercy as you said I should." Her tone grew angry, and she began to hiss. "But those creatures are human meat. They saw only an opportunity to return to the old ways. The gangs began to rise again, and the nobles began to scheme. I warned them, but they would not listen. Soon I was forced to show them that my mercy was not infinite. I executed those whose crime was minor. Before long the darkness of Nostramo creeped into my mind once again. I could no longer show mercy. Order returned, but I sacrificed the spirit of mercy that you gave to me to do so."

"I became the Night Huntress again, the Dark Queen." Her voice was trembling again. "When mother took you away… she did not let me see you. She did not tell me how you were, only that you were alive. I drowned myself in my duties as a Primarch to try and pass the time. I told myself that you would soon return, and I could strive to be the Night Angel again. Yet the years passed, and my legion has become a den of murderers. More than half my soldiers are no better than the gangs I once slew. I have become what I set out to destroy."

I lifted my arms and wrapped them around the back of her neck, with one hand I began to stroke her head. She started to calm down, her breathing slowed and her bone crushing hug was lessening.

"Oh, my dear sweet Cassandra, my Night Angel." I began speaking slowly. "I'm sorry-"

"No!" She pulled away looking at me with her teary eyes. "You have nothing to be sorry for. I have wronged you. You, the only person who mattered to me. The one who suffered for my own selfish reasons." She answered, lowering her head. "I have committed crimes against you."

She gently lowered me to the ground, she then got down on her hands and knees with her head lowered.

'why does this feel so familiar… wait.'

"Cassandra, are you asking me to judge you?" As it would seem history is repeating itself for us, yet the roles are now reversed.

"I have sinned against the one that matters most to me."

"I cannot judge you Cass." I tried. "I don't have the right too."

"You must!" She hissed, punching the floor a fist shaped dent left behind. "I cannot run from my sins any longer. You were the only good soul to live upon Nostramo."

"A sinner can't judge another for the same sins they too have committed Cassandra." I replied getting a little religious on her without realizing it.

I mentally kicked myself. I had no idea if she had switched over to the doctrines of the Imperial truth.

"But you faced your sins!" She cried out, almost screeching. "You knew what you had done, and you still stood before me and demanded I judge you. You felt gilt for your crimes. I have arrived at a point where I no longer feel that guilt." She paused again. "You once told me of your faith, I no longer hear the Holy Spirit."

'Oh…'

She asked me once when we were still living in our hideout why I sat in a corner in silence for so long. I didn't want to share my faith with her knowing that the Imperial Truth was a thing. I didn't want her to be like Logar and face her creator's judgment because she had religious beliefs. It was one of the contributing factors as to why Logar fell to Chaos. Yet Cassandra kept insisting I tell her, so one night I explained my faith in its entirety. I told her about God and everything else that had to do with my religion. In truth the only reason I think she believed was because I believed it, after all I was the only "good" person on Nostramo.

"You still believe?" I was surprised she still held on to the faith even after being taught the Imperial Truth.

Cassandra nodded then began voicing her opinions on the Imperial Truth. "I have been taught the Imperial Truth, but I find it lacking. Perhaps there is some innate goodness in mankind, but there is evil too. Rationality will only bring one so far, and mankind will do what it will once it realizes it has no judge. Thus humans cannot be trusted to stay good forever, and evil is very patient. Nostramo is proof of that."

"Then you know I cannot judge you. I am like you. Only one "Person" has that right." I knelt with her. I pressed my head against hers. "All you must do is ask for His forgiveness and you shall have it. You may become the Night Angel once again. I shall help you do it. Come let us both ask for forgiveness."

There in silence praying to our Creator for forgiveness. When we pulled away from each other I moved her head up and pushed her hair aside allowing me to see her face. Her black eyes stared into my Hazel. Life had once again returned to them.

I smiled. "There is my beautiful Night Angel. We have a lot of work to do. Let's get started."

I stood but I found myself stopped when she gently took my arm. I looked back to see her looking off to the side, her pale cheeks were slightly red.

I chuckled. "I see, my Night Angel deserves a reward for enduring all that she has."

I moved towards her and kissed her lips.

*My lady I arrived with the… oh, oh my.*

Cassandra picked me up and brought me over to the bed where she fell back, our tongues were still dancing with each other. She began removing my clothes and I began removing her armor with my psionics. My skin was exposed to the cold air just as I got the first layer of ceramite and adamantium off. Cassandra grew impatient and ripped off whatever armor plates were still left.

"Calm down, my Night Angel." I whispered to her as our lips parted for a moment, I did not want her to hurt herself as power armor tended to be more connected to their wearers. "Allow me to undress you."

"Hurry~" She breathed desperately.

I set to disconnecting her under armor from her body. Once that was gone Cassandra gave into her conquering nature. In a moment I found my lieutenant in her mouth, she was never one for foreplay. Like many times before I shared the stimulation, I was feeling with her through my psionic abilities. It always served to drive her on ever more. Once I was done, I began to service her until she reached her climax.

I entered her soon after while my lips latched on to her nipples. Her legs locked me to her while one hand held my head while the other held me close. Eventually we both climaxed, but Cass had a lot of sexual energy saved up as she quickly switched position. I followed her lead and soon we were doing dogy with me resting myself on her back so I could reach her breast with my hands. Eventually Cass wanted to take the lead again, and I found myself in the amazon position then cowgirl. Flesh smashed into flesh and suddenly I was very glad my bones were far stronger than before.

*By the Empress the thumping has finally stopped*

When we finally finished, we were both breathing heavily but very much satisfied. Cass had a big smile on her face, and I was happy I could make her happy.

"Don't ever leave me again Lazarus." Cass whispered into me as we snuggled with each other.

"I will stay by your side for as long as you will have me, my Night Angel."

"Then I will have you by my side until the end of time."

After some post sex snuggling, we both got up and found our way to the shower where we admittedly got a little dirtier before we finally cleaned each other off. Once we had our clothes/armor back on we began to talk about the status of her legion. I made a few revelations; some she knew, others she was unaware of. I had a few suggestions to put the legion back on track, but really, I just got the ball rolling. Once Cassandra was free of the burden of her visions Cassandra's primarch abilities began to shine. Activating her vox channel, Cass called for the first ten captains to convene.

The first ten captains had assembled on their Primarch's order. Each of them sat at a table waiting for their Primarch arrival. She was nearby of course, I wanted to meet the upper most of the legion's command before she started making changes to the legion. I also wanted to gage their reaction to me. I was standing at attention beside her vacant chair, the members of the Black Cohort were looking at me having never seen me before. Probably wondering what I was doing.

I noticed the first captain, Jago Sevatarion, staring at me the hardest. He was still male so that was nice to see one of my favorite space marines still a brother. Not that I minded if he turned out to have been affected by the rule 63 nature of this universe. It was just nice to see the man in person… well maybe not given he was pretty fucking terrifying and his staring was not helping.

"What keeps our Primarch?" Halasker, captain of the 3ed company questioned, another male marine. "We have been left waiting for her for thirty minutes."

"Our mother will arrive when she wishes to do so." Jago countered pointedly.

"Then who is this slave then?" The captain of the 8th demanded looking at me.

I could sense Cassandra's anger at the remark. I soothed her anger as soon as it began to rise. She still wanted to tear the marine apart for calling me a slave.

"He is not a slave tenth captain." The captain of the 2nd company interjected. This marine was female. "He is the first of the Empress' new directive. A Legatus, to put it plainly he was hand crafted by the Empress to act as the Primarch's personal assistant for any task she wishes. Whether that be militarily or not is for our mother to decide."

"So, he is above us?!" The captain of the 7th company demanded; she sounded pissed off.

"If our mother deems it so, then yes." Jago clarified his own thoughts on the matter were not clear to me.

"He won't be for long." The 7th declared standing from her chair, I could sense her hostile intent.

Cassandra moved, before I could calm her.

The other captains stood from their chairs however their Primarch was faster. Forgiveness' blades emerged from the 7th captain's chest plate before they were ripped out. The marine spat blood out of her mouth as she fell to her knees. She was alive as marines were just that tanky, but she was now bleeding out on the ground.

"The next one to threaten my Legatus shall not get off so easily." Cassandra hissed to the gathered captains. She then looked at the captain and picked her up by her powerpack then tossed her towards the exit. "You shall apologize to him after you clean yourself up."

The marine did not answer, instead choosing to limp out of the room. The other captains sat back in their chairs and waited for their Primarch to take her seat. As soon as she sat down Cassandra jumped right to business.

"The legion shall be changing from this day onward." Cassandra ordered, the remaining marines looked surprised by the declaration that change was coming to the legion. "I will no longer tolerate the dishonorable acts my legion has been committing. Each marine will remove any and all trophies taken from our enemies' bodies."

It was almost funny to see the look on the marines faces.

"Any unjust killing of any Imperial personnel shall be punished. Each marine shall be evaluated for mental stability and those who fail shall be transferred back to Terra for reconditioning. These are just a few of the changes I will be making to the legion. But these shall take effect as of now."

"My Primarch, what is the meaning of this?" Jago asked pointedly from his seat.

"I was created by my mother to enforce the laws of the Imperium; I am judgment and punishment." Cassandra answered her 1st captain. "For the past few years, I have been blinded to my purpose by my own madness. I know that you all have been secretly questioning my mental state." That caused most of the marines to get a worried look, but they hid it well. "Nostramo has poisoned me, corrupted my purpose. It is because of my Legatus that my mind has become clear enough to see this. I will not have my legion become the same gangs and murderers I fought on Nostramo."

"I have also been made aware that the Tithe Nostramo that has been providing Terra for my legion has been filled entirely from the prisons while they keep the best for themselves. For this treachery Nostramo shall have its status as the VIIIth Legion's Homeworld and Recruitment World revoked."

'It didn't take long for Cass to spot the discrepancies upon closer review of the tithe that Nostramo provided. Though I was not aware she was revoking its status as a Recruitment World.' I thought to myself. 'Will I guess it beats giving it the old Taris treatment.'

"My Primarch I must object!" The 4th companies captain declared. "Nostramo is our homeworld we cannot simply abandon it!" The captain then looked to me; anger written all over her face. "You, Terran Born, what have you done to our Primarch."

"He has done nothing but clear my mind as he has done since our time on Nostramo. My Legatus is a native to Nostramo." Cassandra stated forcefully causing the marine's eyes to widen. "He assisted me in bringing the world under my control. However, he was gravely wounded during my rule and has been in my mother's care since she came to our world. It is until now that he has been able to return to my side."

"Returning to the topic of Nostramo. It shall not be abandoned. It shall be put under whoever my mother's regent deems necessary while the legion continues its operations. Until Nostramo's corruption has been brought under control it shall not provide any legion with recruits. There shall also be one more chance to take immediate effect."

As soon as she said that I closed my eyes. Suddenly the interior lighting for the ship switched on. All over the ship marines and crew members alike hissed at the sudden brightness. Even if the level of brightness had been set to the lowest setting as possible. I, having been on Terra for most of these years, did not mind the sudden change. My eyes quickly adjusted to the light when I opened them again. The rest of the captain's however were still shielding their eyes with their arms.

"From now on the VIIITh Legion shall inspire hope in our allies and dread on our enemies!" Cassandra declared standing from her chair.

'God, I wish I could snuggle with her right now.'

*Five months later*

Things were looking up for VIIIth legion. The reforms of Cassandra inspired a lot of tension between the marines. The Legion had yet to get to the point where the entire legion was just a band of murderers but a little over half were. The testing for the legion was conducted by Malcador, once completed, he ordered the decommissioning of one fifth of the legion's marines. That meant handing off said marines to Custodians who most likely gave them the thunder warrior treatment. After that it turned into a task of changing the marine mind set, but with Cassandra making these changes the marines were due to fall in line sooner or later. Of course, since we no longer had a recruitment world replacing our losses became more of a difficulty. However, working with the Imperial army was far easier than it had been in the past.

We had also begun to reform our tactics. Hit and run terror tactics were still the legion's go to method for warfare even if they were "nicer" about it now. I borrowed General Sherman's doctrine of full-scale war when advising Cassandra for new tactics. While our methods were still as brutal as ever, what really changed was to the extent of our targets. Where once the legion would target the planet's civilian and military population without difference, now had us change our targets. Hitting the enemy and slaughtering them with brutal efficiency and let the few survivors demoralize their fellows was still our go to plan. Our methods for targeting civilians changed from hitting the people to hitting what the people owned. This is where General Sherman's tactics came in. Essentially, we hit the world's economy.

The farms and food supplies? Well, it burned good.

Have a good network of roads and bridges? Well now you don't.

Have a monument that inspires the troops and people? Well, someone might have accidentally left a melta bomb lying around.

The legion really took to the saying, "leave them nothing but their eyes to cry with".

Of course, we also had to change the mindset of the legion. Once again, I used some things from my era to help with this. Mainly the motto of the Lawbringers, "Where order has broken down, where cruelty and lawlessness rule. Lawbringers are justice." Switch the word "Lawbringers" with "Night Lords" and well we got ourselves a new motto, which easily let into the last part. "Pray that you do not need us, and when we arrive pray that you have done no wrong." There was also, "We are the Angels of Judgment, and you shall answer for your crimes." I can't claim credit for that one, that went to the 1st Captain.

'Ooh, I still got the shivers when I heard marines use the new mottos.'

At the moment we were joined to an exploration fleet simply exploring trying to find anything that might be of importance. Cassandra and I were in her chambers having breakfast. We spoke about different topics such as the state of the legion, what we were looking forward to, and other small talk. Of course, we were interrupted when the fleet admiral contacted Cassandra about an incoming fleet. Cassandra gave off a confused look, as she thought about it.

I was confused as to why Cassandra was confused. I mean we were flying around unknown space looking for stuff, It wasn't too far fetched that we would come across a unknown fleet.

"Is there something wrong Cass?" I asked her while finishing off my drink.

"One of my sisters is approaching." Cassandra answered me almost sounding like she was surprised herself. "None of my sisters have ever approached me since I completed my training with Victoria."

I remember that sometimes the primarch sot each other out when another one was discovered. The first that came to mind was Sanguinius and the Khan. It dawned on me that in lore the Night Lords were one of the legions left alone by the other legions. Given how they acted. Now since with our changes it was possible one of the other Primarch wanted to contact Cassandra. She was starting to lose her persona as the "mad Primarch". Yay.

"If this is one of your siblings coming to meet you then I think you should meet em'." I offered. "It would be a chance for your sibling to get to know the real you."

"Perhaps you're right." Cassandra relented before reactivating the Vox. "Notify me once the fleet is within identification range."

"Fortunately, the unknown fleet have just identified themselves. It's the XV th legion. Their primarch is requesting permission to come aboard."

'Thousand Sons meaning Magus, or whatever her female name will be.' I thought. 'But why the XVth?'

Our fleet slowed down allowing the Thousand Sons fleet to catch up. The Photep pulled alongside the Nightfall. A thunder hawk flew from the Photep over to the Nightfall's hanger where it landed. Jago was there to greet and escort the Primarch of the Thousand Sons, or by this universe's version Thousand Daughters, I admit it did not roll off the tongue as well as Thousand Sons. Soon enough the XVth primarch arrived at Cassandra's private meeting chamber. We would have used Cassandra's personal chamber but seeing as it had a certain… smell to it we opted for the chamber used to meet important people privately. The door to the chamber opened and in stepped the primarch.

The first thing I noticed about Magus, or as I came to learn, Maga the Red did not have so much a red skin tone as it was more of a light pink or as someone else might say light-ish red. Her armor looked like it did on the lore side for the obvious room made for her breasts, yet the armor was tailored to make it seem as if they only came out slightly. She carried a staff with a curved blade. Her single eye flicked over to Cassandra then to me then back to her sister.

"Cassandra, my sister." Maga greeted her sister smiling. "Thank you for having me. You are looking better than has been described to me."

"Maga, to what do I owe the surprise." Cassandra greeted while gesturing to the seat across from her.

Maga walked into the room taking the seat offered to her. "I was in a nearby sector, I must say I have been intrigued by your Legion's sudden actions. From being the most effective legion to changing your legions mannerisms you are full of surprises. I have also been told you regained your sanity."

"I have, in no small part, to my Legatus." Cassandra answered, nodding to me.

"Oh yes, the Legatus I heard about them. Our own personal assistant hand crafted by mother. I am interested to see what mother has in mind for mine. I have also heard a curious rumor about your Legatus-

While my external expression remained neutral, on the inside I was panicking. Cassandra and I had worked very hard to keep our... Relationship between the two of us. Well the Empress might have suspected something yet she hadn't made any indication she knew exactly what our relationship was. A quick peek at Cassandra's emotions led me to believe she's having the same worries as me.

Is it true he is a psyker who draws on the materium?"

I mentally breathed a sigh of relief, yet.

'That information was on a need-to-know basis.' I was surprised Maga knew about it.

"It is true, it's how he is able to clear my mind." Cassandra confirmed. "However, he has also told me that this information is highly restricted. How did you learn of such things?"

Maga smiled playfully. "Oh, I have my ways. Might I be able to borrow him sometime? I would like to explore the abilities of a psyker that can draw power from the materium."

"No." Cassandra instantly replied, it was almost funny how quickly she denied her sister's request. "Besides the fact that he is MY Legatus, his presence has allowed me to retain my sanity. I am almost constantly haunted by perniciousness of the future. His abilities allow him to block these visions, while also healing my mental state from my time in Nostramo."

"Hmm, unfortunate and impressive." She looked over to me, studying me as though I were a book. "For you to be able to affect the mind of a primarch. You must be a powerful psyker, apologies I'm told you go by the name psionic."

"If I may, Lady Primarch." I commented. "Cassandra does not resist when I use my abilities. I imagine I wouldn't be able to affect her to such a degree if she was resisting my efforts."

"A fair assessment." Maga answered. "Still even with my sister not resisting it is still a noteworthy feat." Her attention switched back to Cassandra. "Though I am surprised that you claim to have such visions. Even the most studied scholars of my world have only theorized the possibility, even fewer claimed to have any form of precognition."

Cassandra did not answer impatiently, I had an idea of what she was thinking though. Before long she looked over to me. "Can you allow one to come through?"

I gave her a worried look, yet she did not relent. "As you wish."

I weakened my psionic shield around her mind to allow a vision through. Cassandra lightly clutched her head, her visions tended to be short as she described them as information being forcefully shoved into her mind. As soon as the vision came through, I threw back up my psionic shield. Cassandra let her head go and looked over to her sister who was looking on with great interest, that interest soon turned to confusion.

'Wait, is she crying?' I noticed tears seemed to be gathering around Maga's eyes. 'I guess that joke about Magus crying when he got confused had some truth to it.'

"What did you see?" Maga asked very interested while wiping away the tears from her eye as though they were a common ich.

Cassandra looked over to Maga, considering what words to use with her sister. "I saw you being broken; I saw your legion being torn asunder. In your desperation to save your legion, you sacrificed your principles and with them you were made a puppet of another."

'Sounds like Cassandra saw the Burning of Prospero and Maga making a deal with the Changer.' I thought as I looked at Maga's reaction.

She had a surprised look on her face. Being told that at some point you and your army was going to be destroyed was not something you heard every day.

"I must admit I was not expecting that. Are all your visions of the future so… grim?"

"Yes, it is because of this and my home world that I have been so closed off. You can imagine being bombarded with constant premonitions of a grim future can leave one to be… unapproachable."

"I see, I suppose that is why you seem so close to your Legatus." Maga observed looking between the two of us. "Are you two sleeping together?"

'fuck'

Cassandra narrowed her eyes at her sibling to which Maga smiled back.

"Come now sister, you hide it well, but I can see you eyeballing me whenever I look at your Legatus. You are very protective of him, more so then a simple friend would have even if he is safeguarding your sanity. You also seem to trust him whole hardily dare I say your loyalty to mother is second only to your loyalty to him."

"You tread dangerous ground sister." Cassandra warned, albeit a passive warning.

"Worry not sister." Maga replied, waving off the warning. "I by no means have any right to judge who you fancy, nor do I plan on telling anyone. If I were in your shoes, I might have a similar feeling for someone who maintained my sanity. I know a few of our siblings had been with someone at one point in their lives, Vitoria comes to mind. Tell me did this begin before or after mother found you?"

"I don't think that's any of your business sister." Cassandra pointed out.

"Hmm, can't blame a sister for wanting to know, I do so enjoy a good mystery." Maga shrugged before her mind drifted into a thought. "I wonder if I will fall for my Legatus, have a bunch of little Magas running around."

With Maga saying that my mind instantly began wandering to the idea of Cassandra and I having kids. Yikes, that was an image. It also made me think what the Empress would think of that, or if she even planned for it. I mean having more primarchs running around would increase the overall military might of the legions. I mean in base canon Malcador did suggest to the Emperor that he make the primarch female to avoid brotherly rivalry, then again then you just switch brotherly rivalry for sisterly rivalry. I suppose at the same time if half the primarchs were male and the other half female then they started… getting together then their kids could probably be used as a template to create a new legion.

I banished those thoughts to the back of my mind. I didn't need to be thinking about that right now, luckily for me Maga changed the subject.

"Have you heard about the newest primarch our mother found?" Maga began after taking a sip from the drinks we had been provided not too long ago.

'If my count is not off I think we are at Angron or Corvus Corax.'

"I have not sister." Cassandra replied.

"Hmm, Mother found her in the midst of a battle upon the world she landed on. From what I'm told she and her army were making their last stand. Mother teleported her up to her flagship just as her forces were perishing."

'Ah, that sounds like Angron alright. It would seem Angron or whatever her female name is, has already begun growing her hatred for her creator.' From the lore Angron always carried a grudge against the Emperor for taking him away from his comrades as they were about to die.

"I take it she did not react well to that." Cassandra observed.

"Just so." Maga confirmed. "I'm told that Furia went berserk, wounding one of mother's custodians before she managed to restrain her. After some time on Terra, she took command of her legion, they have been going from one warzone to the next ever since. She is berserk beyond any rational level almost if she was possessed."

'So Angron's female name is Furia.' I observed.

"Mother hasn't done anything to help her?" Cassandra question.

"I do not have specifics, but mother has been very busy running the Imperium, if Furia suffered some kind of injury or was affected in some way I would imagine she would have to spend a great amount of time addressing the issue." Maga adopted a thoughtful expression again as she looked over towards me. "That being said, perhaps your Legatus might be able to help her with his abilities."

From what I knew of the lore, the butcher's nails inside Angron's noggin replaced some of his brain. In theory I would have to get the thing out and repair or dare I say replace parts of Angron's mind. Basically, if Angron, or Furia in this case, was a computer then she had half of her CPU ripped out and now was running on an external CPU that was short and was running the main system way past what it should be doing. To make matters worse, only one person knows how to work with this computer, and she no longer has the tools to fix it in the first place.

"I appreciate the optimism, Lady Primarch." I replied politely. "I don't think I'll be able to help. While this sounds like a problem of the mind I don't know how I would go about helping her."

"Well then I suppose you would have to see her before you can begin to help her." Maga countered by obviously planning something.

'Please do not toss me to the raging berserker with mommy issues!' I mentally begged.

"Do you know where Furia is?" Cassandra asked.

'I am betrayed, the Heresy comes early!'
